Max: ok, using my imagination the real question would be: if you were a worm and therefore you had four hearts, would all of your hearts love me the same?

Naruto: Sasuke ... would you still love me if I was a worm? Sasuke: What kind of weird question is that?? Naruto: Just, say I was turned into a worm. And I could only crawl around and stuff. Would you still love me? Sasuke: If you were turned into a worm ... I would take you, gently cradle you in my hand, and then put you in a nice, warm box full of dirt. Naruto: Awww! You would? That's so -- Sasuke: Then I would take you with me down to the river. I'd spear you on a hook, cast you out, and wait for a bite. Sasuke: Once I'd successfully used you to catch a fish, I'd take that fish, clean it, gut it, and use part of it to make the fishcake topping that you like so much. Sasuke: Then I'd go to Ichiraku's and get a steaming bowl of ramen, put the fishcake topping over it, and have a good meal in your memory. Naruto: Naruto, tearing up: You understand me better than anyone, dattebayo.

Obito: So you know the whole worm question thing? When people ask if their partner would still love them if they were turned into a worm?

Kakashi: Yeah?

Obito: Do you ever think of how convenient that could be for certain people, if it happened?

Kakashi: What do you mean?

Obito: Okay, say that me and you were dating. And somewhere along the line, you cheated on me. And I found out, but you didn’t know that I found out.

Obito: And one day we’re out together and we have the worm conversation. And I assure you that I’d always love you no matter what you are.

Obito: And then a witch or something comes down and decides to test our relationship by actually turning you into a worm.

Obito: And you’re terrified because even though you’re a creature now, you still have your human brain and you’re aware of everything going on.

Obito: But at the same time, you have trust in me, because you’re sure that I’m still going to take care of you.

Obito: But then, while I’m holding you in my hand, I casually bring up that I know you cheated on me. And your tiny little heart starts to pound. So I take you with me to your secret lover’s home, and make you watch while I erase him from existence.

Obito: And then I go out into the woods to bury him. And I take you off of my shoulder and throw you into his open grave. And I explain that this is the best way I can love you; leaving you to feast on that person’s soon to be rotting body. And then I finish the job and leave you alone with the person you jeopardized our relationship to be with. Hoping that you feel it was worth it, to do that to me. 

Obito: Wouldn’t that be poetic? Wouldn’t that be a thing of beautiful, divine justice?

Obito: Anyways … want to go get some ramen with me? My treat!

Kakashi: …

Itachi, having come with the medicine that Obito forgot to take that morning: …

"A stupid question. I won't dignify it with an answer, seeming as you are not, in fact, a worm, and I have never claimed to love you."

But of course, he would.

He would find the best soil, in the best part of the garden. A warm, dark place for you to wriggle down and enjoy. Loosely packed, of course, not too dense- your skin will need the air. But moist, too, because you'll need a little bit of wetness to stay healthy.

He will bring you scraps of fruit and vegetables so your diet is diverse, but never too much. Wouldn't want you over doing it. It's hard to moderate, when you're a worm.

He would be careful, too. No citrus peels, no garlic, no dairy, butter, or fats. And to keep you happy, he'd make sure to bury your food in different spots each week. An apple peel here, carrots, cucumbers, perhaps some berries on occasion.

If you were a worm, you would be the most beloved worm 🪱

He might not say it, but you'd know.

If MC had asked RO, "If I turned into a worm, would still you love me?" What answer would they give to this?

I've started drawing my friends as worms for their birthday cause even as a worm, they are loved and awesome. Here are the ones I've done so far. Each worm gets a pile of dirt that is infused with glitter

“would you still love me if i was a worm?

shaken out of his thoughts, eddie looks down to two big brown eyes and a mop of hair on his chest. he stops mid stroke in his hair.

“what?”

“you heard me. would you still love me if i was a worm?”

steve has been asking a lot of weird questions like these lately. eddie thinks he got them from robin.

the room silent, other than a soft record playing in the background, he answers.

“yes. i would still love you if were a worm”

“really? would you actually truly love me? even if i was all slimy and small and ate dirt?”

“yes i would still love you if you were all slimy and small and ate dirt”

if it were physically possible, steve’s pupils would turn into hearts.

“actually, i would build you a whole house with so many locks so no one could break in and step on you. id shout if from the roof tops that ‘IM IN LOVE WITH A WORM AND I DONT CARE WHO KNOWS IT!!’”

he goes back to combing his hand through steve’s hair.

another moment passes with steve in utter and complete awe. yep, he’s definitely in love.
