I can't believe cherry coke came out in 1985 tbh, but here's another little blurb. A blurb a day keeps the writer's block away (at least I hope it does). I was gonna have Vanilla Coke be the flavor, but that came out in 2002 and was discontinued in 2006 in the UK, Canada, and the US; but came back to the US and Canada in 2007. Cherry Vanilla Coke came out in 2006, was discontinued in 2007, and then brought back as a staple in 2009. I got a bit sidetracked with Coke facts. Hope you enjoy the blurb! -Silas

[Steddie]

Steve watched with a mix of concern and awe as Eddie downed his seventh cherry coke within the last hour. He doesn’t quite understand the way his breath catches in his throat and warmth bubbles underneath his skin like roiling waves of crashing lava as he watches Eddie’s Adam’s apple bob with each swallow. The only thing on Steve’s mind is the fact that Eddie Munson made chugging caffeine like it’s his ninth beer at a house party pretty damn attractive. 

Steve pauses. ‘Attractive?’ His warm brown eyes look back to the boy sitting before him. He takes in the dark curls pulled up into a loose ponytail, locks of hair already coming loose and framing the expanse of Eddie’s face. He eyes the cold metal rings that cover the calloused fingers holding, what Steve now realizes to be, a ninth can of cherry coke. He imagines for a moment how pleasant those rings would feel pressed to his face or in his perfectly styled hair, messing it up as his own hands grip Eddie’s nice-looking waist hidden beneath his Corroded Coffin tank. He tries to count the smattering of light freckles that splatter across Eddie’s nose bridge and cheeks but finds it difficult when he gets drawn in by the big dark brown doe eyes now staring right at him. 

With those eyes trained on him, he finally sees the smirk that’s spread across the lips he was trying to avoid looking at and the faint blush dusting Eddie’s cheekbones. He felt his face heat up at being caught before he turned away from the enigmatic man in front of him.

“Find something interesting, big boy?”

Steve’s face flushes more at the nickname as he tries to keep himself from falling into a crisis. He liked girls, right?

“I’m just making sure you don’t overdose on caffeine with all the cans you’re chugging like water,” he muttered with his hand covering his mouth.

His head was cocked to the side and tilted down, away from Eddie’s prying eyes. If Steve couldn’t see Eddie, Eddie couldn’t see Steve. 

Steve twitched at the sound of Eddie’s laugh and felt a smile creep up behind his hand. His eyes flicked back to Eddie as Eddie’s arms came up in mock surrender.

“Okay, Harrington, whatever helps you sleep at night.”

Steve feels like he’s about to explode as Eddie winks at him. With stuttering breath, Steve stumbles through an excuse of chores as he high-tails it out of Eddie’s trailer; ears burning as Eddie’s laugh follows after him broken up by a sweet ‘Bye Stevie’.

Steve felt his heart flip. He didn’t think he was gay, but Eddie Munson made him feel better than any of the girls so far had done, maybe even more than Nancy. Steve hurried into his car even faster.

Steve needed to talk to Robin.

I haven’t read the prompts for @subeddieweek but I wanted to write a little something special to say I took part. I’ve loved reading everything I’ve seen for this so far! ☺︎

“Hey there handsome” Steve teases, running his fingers across the metal bars of the cage, looking down at his prey. Eddie. He fiddles with the padlock lifting it up to show his submissive that he’s truly locked in. Smirking down at Eddie taking in the view.

Now here we are, in your dog crate.” Steve’s voice is soft yet domineering, he reaches his fingers through the gaps of the cage and scratches Eddie’s head. He leans into the touch instantly, practically purring under his fingers.

“Wanna go for a walk pup?” Steve unlocks the cage, dropping the key into his back pocket as he swings the cage open.

Eddie doesn’t move. He knows his rules. Waiting for Steve’s fingers to click and point where he should be. His place, is wherever Steve tells him to be.

Click he does, pointing down at his feet and Eddie complies, crawling on all fours and kneeling before his boyfriend. “Good boy.” Steve coos, ruffling Eddie’s hair and slapping at his face as softly as a gentle tap, and building up to a slap.

He whimpers, Steve’s hand print marked across his face. Drooling from both his lips and his cock, whilst he stares up at Steve like he’s the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen, because he is.

“Like it when I hurt you, don’t ya?” Grabbing Eddie’s chin roughly, squeezing it between his thumb and forefingers. I see a lot of headcanons of Eddie being knowledgeable about the queer community, but alternatively I propose Eddie who’s always lived in a small town during the 1980s. Wayne who constantly works odd hours and needed access to their car growing up. Eddie who felt like he needed to be there for Wayne just in case even after he finally got his van for dirt-cheap. Eddie who never really had the chance to go to the big cities with established queer communities. Eddie who knows he likes a large variety of people, but never really knows what to do with that or how to express it.
