My Best Friend...
(Part 1 of 2 - Part 2)
Pairing: Loki x plus size female reader (y/n)
Warnings: angst (of course, not sorry), self depreciating thoughts, feeling inadequate, issues with self image, low self worth, annoying friends... but I promise lots and lots of fluff so just hold on until the end - let me know if I forgot anything 💚
Summary: What you thought would be a relaxing girls night quickly turns into an interrogation by Nat and Wanda about your non-existent relationship with Loki. After denying you are anything other then friends for as long as you can, you finally tell them how you really feel about him... and why you know he will never feel the same. The night goes from bad to worse when you realize Loki overheard you talking to them and you try to hide from him.
A/N: Loki is talked about in this part a lot but he doesn't really show up until the very end, don't worry he is going to be in the whole second part though. Also, I was going to make this one very long fic but @michelleleewise suggested breaking it into two parts so you can thank her for all the angst being in the first half and having to wait another few days for the fluff - love you @michelleleewise 💚

"Oh, come on Y/N," Natasha laughs as she sets the pizza box on the coffee table. "Just admit it and we can all move on with our lives."
"I can't cause it's not true," you tell her, looking down to avoid eye contact with the spy. You sit on one end of the couch and she sits next to you, you pass her and Wanda plates. "I'm disappointed, I thought you would be better at reading situations then this," you say sarcastically and she let's out a dramatic gasp, pretending to be offended.
"I think the real problem is you are worse at hiding your relationship with Loki then you think you are," Wanda says as she grabs a slice of pizza. "And since you won't just admit it, how about we review the facts?" Wanda asks with a wide smile before sitting cross legged on the floor on the other side of the coffee table.
"Oh, I can't wait to hear all of these supposed facts," you roll your eyes.
"Exhibit A, breakfast," Wanda says too excitedly for your liking, "Loki brings you coffee and something to eat every single morning. How do you explain that if the two of you aren't dating, hmm?"
You decide maybe it would be better to just play along with your friends this time, hoping you might be able to convince them they were both wrong once and for all. Wanda and Nat had recently become obsessed with the idea that you and Loki were secretly dating but it had really picked up over the last week.
"I'm telling you, we aren't dating. He just knows I have a lot of early meetings so it's easy for me to get distracted and then I forget to eat," you tell them.
"I don't know," Natasha shakes her head, "Worrying that you're skipping meals seems like good boyfriend behavior."
"It is not, it's good friend behavior," you correct her, "Maybe the two of you don't worry about me enough." You cross your arms and stare at Nat then Wanda, causing them to giggle.
"Still, it's impressive. I don't think Loki even knows if Thor drinks coffee, forget about him ever bringing his brother or anyone else on the team anything," Nat says, picking up right where she left off before the minor laughing fit.
"I don't know what to tell you," you shrug. "Maybe he knows I'm less grumpy when I eat. Those mission report meetings we have are brutal if I'm not fully caffeinated," you suggest another reason.
"Nice try Y/N, but those meetings are only once a week," Nat reminds you and practically wince, how did you ever think the best spy on the planet would let that detail slip past her. "Care to explain away the coffee he brings you the other four days?"
You don't answer, pretending to be interested in reading the label on your drink instead. You remember when Loki started doing it roughly three months ago. One Friday while you were watching a movie together, you complained to him that you had missed breakfast three days in a row that week due to your tight meeting schedule. You hadn't meant for him to do anything about it, you were just venting. The following Monday and every morning since, Loki would stop by your office before he trained with Thor. He brought you a large coffee exactly the way you liked it, even though you don't remember him asking how you took it, and something to eat. You offered to pay him back after the first couple of days but he just smiled and told you not to worry about it.
Wanda laughs at your lack of response, pulling you from your thoughts and asks, "I think it's time for exhibit B, don't you?"
"Oh, of course," Nat smiles and you groan, quickly realizing this was a bad idea.
"Exhibit B, your weekends," Wanda says.
"There is nothing weird about our weekends," you tell them defensively. "What are you talking about?"
"Really Y/N?" Wanda says. "You're going to pretend you and Loki aren't going on dates all the time?"
"We aren't dating," you respond, this time you don't bother to force a smile. "We just like going to the same places."
"The two of you spend every minute of the weekend together," Nat chimes in. "I don't think Wanda spends as much time with Viz as you spend with Loki."
"It's not my fault Loki is more interesting than Vision," you reply quickly, earning a loud laugh from Nat and an eye roll from Wanda.
Natasha wasn't exactly wrong though. Over the last four months you and Loki had gone to art galleries, museums, plays and parks all across the city. These outings would have been truly amazing dates... if you were dating but you weren't. You think back to last weekend when you took him to the Winter Village at Bryant Park for the first time. Your fingers begin to play with the necklace you bought from one of the many artists who had set up stalls there. You were wearing gloves so Loki offered to put it on you, gently sweeping your hair away from your neck as he stood behind you to fasten the clasp. You hadn't been able to stop blushing when his fingers brushed against your skin but thankfully you could blame your red cheeks on the sudden cold breeze.
"Y/N," Wanda says, tossing a balled up napkin at you to get your attention. "Thinking about your next date night?"
You sigh and shake your head no. "Can't you both just let this go? We're going to waste the whole night on this."
"I only have one more exhibit to prove that you are dating, then we will leave you alone," Wanda says and you reluctantly agree to hear it, knowing she will tell you either way. "Exhibit C, you sleep in his apartment way too often. I mean really Y/N, I don't know why you pay rent at your place when you sleep with him two or three times a week."
"Ah, remember two weeks ago?" Nat asks Wanda and she nods. "How many nights in a row did you sleep with Loki?" she asks you with a smirk.
You sigh, "First off, stop saying it like that. I'm not sleeping with him, I sleep at his place. Secondly..." you pause not wanting to answer her question. "Five but you know that was because of the weather."
"Once in a while I get, but that many times in a row and you are practically living with him. I would bet you even have your own toothbrush and a drawer or two at his place," Wanda jokes.
You bite your lip before you respond, you did have a toothbrush and a few things stored in Loki's apartment. He had suggested you leave some items there so you were more comfortable since you slept over so often.
"I only sleep there cause he worries about me getting home safe if it's after a certain time, like if we are out until midnight on the weekends or I work really late during the week," you explain truthfully then add, "And sometimes I accidentally fall asleep at his place if we're watching a movie and he just lets me sleep. It's really not a big deal."
"Mmhmm..." Nat nods.
"I know that look Nat so don't even say it. I've already told you, nothing happens. Loki always offers me his bed and he takes the couch in his living area," you add quickly.
"Damn," Nat laughs and pretends to look disappointed.
"Now, you've finished with your 'facts' that prove nothing. He's just my best friend, that's it," you say, desperately trying to avoid talking about Loki any longer. "Can we please move onto something else?"
"Come on, what else do we need to do to get you to just tell us the truth," Wanda says.
"We aren't together," you tell them for what feels like the hundredth time.
"You can't lie to us," Nat says as if she didn't hear you, "Out with it."
"He's not mine!" you hear yourself say loudly and the smiles fall from their faces.
You look at them both silently, suddenly feeling too exposed as you finally give up on pretending you were unbothered by their constant questions and accusations. You slowly shift so you are sitting with your legs tucked underneath you, pressing your back into the couch. Picking up one of the pillows from between you and Nat, you hold it against your chest almost as if you are trying to hide yourself.
"He's not... he's not mine," you repeat again, a bit quieter this time. "He never was and he never will be. I'm just his best friend," you say.
"Wait... no, you really aren't together?" Nat asks almost in disbelief and you nod.
"I- we honestly thought you were just trying to keep it a really bad secret. I had no idea... I'm so sorry," Wanda says softly. "We never should have pushed you so hard."
"I'm sorry too Y/N but why aren't you two dating?" Nat asks. "The two of you seem so perfect for each other."
You shake your head then lower your face into the pillow to hide the gathering tears. "What did you say?" Wanda asks when you mumble something in response to Nat. You can feel her sitting on the arm of the couch as she gently tries to pull the pillow away from your face.
You cling to it tightly but allow her to lower it a bit. "I said... he would never want to date me," you tell them without looking up. "I'm not his type," you feel the first few tears slip free and fall down your cheeks.
You pull the sleeves of your sweater down over your hands and wipe your eyes. "Loki is a freaking prince and a God. Why would he want someone like me?" you ask them the question you had been asking yourself since you realized you were in love with him.
"Someone like you?" Nat repeats your question. "Because you are amazing Y/N. You're incredibly funny, clever and-"
You interrupt Nat, "But I'm not beautiful."
"What?" Wanda asks. "Y/N, of course you are."
"No, I'm not beautiful," you tell them. "I know what I look like, I'm short and I'm significantly overweight... I could lose a hundred pounds and I would still be nothing like the women Loki dates. They have all been tall and thin, perfect just like he is," you say, keeping your head down. "He's been with models, socialites, actresses and literal princesses when he lived on Asgard. Why would he ever want me when he could have them?"
You put one hand over your face as you lose the battle to hold back your tears. "I'm such an idiot," you say more to yourself than your friends. "I let myself fall in love with my best friend even though I know he will never love me back," you grip the pillow tighter to your body and keep your eyes closed behind your other hand.
You feel a hand gently settle on your knee, squeezing lightly to comfort you. You appreciate the gesture until you realize you no longer feel Nat and Wanda sitting on either side of you. You sniffle and wipe your eyes, your heart beginning to race as you recognize your favorite smell, Loki's cologne.
"Y/N," Loki says almost in a whisper. He looks up at you as he kneels on the carpet in front of you.
"No," you say in disbelief as you stand up, tossing aside the pillow.
"Wait-" he says but you ignore him, desperately avoiding his gaze.
"No, no, no," you repeat as you realize Loki heard you say you loved him. If he heard that, what else had he heard? Before he can say anything else you grab your phone off the coffee table and leave the common area as quickly as possible.

Interview with Interview Magazine (2024)
Tumblr media
Before he was known as the dashing Lord Anthony Bridgerton or Tim Laughlin, the character in Fellow Travelers for which he won a Critics Choice Award earlier this month, Jonathan Bailey caught the attention of Phoebe Waller-Bridge with his confident, self-possessed audition for her show Crashing nearly a decade ago. “You came in like a fireball,” said the Fleabag star on Zoom with Bailey, recounting how, while reading for the role of the sex-obsessed Sam, Bailey asked permission to lay his script out on the floor in front of him like a rainbow. “You had no embarrassment. You didn’t actually refer to it again, but you took those few seconds to just completely set up what you exactly needed for that audition, and then you were so free.” In the years since, with roles in Bridgerton, the Showtime drama Fellow Travelers, and the upcoming Wicked movie adaptation, Bailey has become one of the most sought-after actors in the business, capable of generating sparks with whoever’s on screen with him. Waller-Bridge attributes this to the 35-year-old’s distinct understanding of tension. “You’re like a chemistry machine,” she gushed. “There’s this incredible erotic energy that people are so excited about.” Last week, from a hotel room at Claridge’s in London, Bailey talked to Waller-Bridge about longing, orgasms, frosted tips, nostalgia, Shakespeare, and his very first role: playing a raindrop in a stage production of Noah’s Ark.
PHOEBE WALLER-BRIDGE: Hi.
JONATHAN BAILEY: Hi.
WALLER-BRIDGE: I’m taking my glasses off. Now I can be real.
BAILEY: I’ve just had a gin and tonic, actually. I had a meeting and he really wanted a glass of Whispering Angel, so I was like, “Well, I’ve got to dive in.”
WALLER-BRIDGE: What’s the time there?
BAILEY: Oh, I’m literally around the corner from you. Literally, I’ve come into Claridge’s Hotel and checked in for an hour just to have a Zoom.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Oh, god. That’s so chic. Jonny, I want all of your secrets.
BAILEY: I feel like you’ve got quite a few of them already.
WALLER-BRIDGE: I do, actually. And we’re not going to talk about any of those. But I did also get to do a little bit of research on you.
BAILEY: Oh, god. What have you got?
WALLER-BRIDGE: Jonathan Stewart Bailey, I’d like to jump straight in with the fact that the first professional job you had was playing a teardrop, or a raindrop?
BAILEY: There were teardrops, but yeah, I was playing a raindrop.
WALLER-BRIDGE: You were a crying raindrop.
BAILEY: A crying raindrop in Noah’s Ark.
WALLER-BRIDGE: And how old were you then?
BAILEY: I think I was about 5 going on 29. I was really upset because it didn’t rain. The bitch that played Noah, she forgot the cue for the rain to come. So my dance didn’t make it, but at the end of the show they allowed me to do it once everyone had applauded.
WALLER-BRIDGE: I asked you that specifically because you’ve also said that your grandmother took you to see a production of Oliver in London and that’s what changed everything.
BAILEY: Yes.
WALLER-BRIDGE: So was the raindrop before or after that? I am getting to something, I promise.
BAILEY: I think it was probably afterwards. I was really young when I went to see Oliver.
WALLER-BRIDGE: I’m interested because I read that seeing it made you decide you wanted to perform. Can you tell me the specific thing that made it click?
BAILEY: I’ll tell you, the most bizarre thing is that I had three seasons at the RSC under my belt by the age of nine. There was a moment where I played Prince Arthur, the kid in Shakespeare who gets his eyes gouged out and has to escape a turret. I remember doing that production and thinking I was aware of the power of words, if that makes sense. You’re so porous at that age, I think. It is such a gift, isn’t it, to be shown what iambic pentameter is.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Do you still feel passionate about Shakespeare now?
BAILEY: I do, actually. It’s my dirty, filthy habit.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Your dirty little habit. I know what you mean, though, how if you come to it quite raw, and it’s not something that you’ve had shoved down your throat at school, there is nothing more epic and spectacular.
BAILEY: And being around people who are just so committed to their vocation, whether they’re writing or creating. The smell backstage at the RSC at the Barbican was like cigarettes, stage makeup, Joe Fiennes, and hope.
WALLER-BRIDGE: That’s a lot of beautiful smells you’ve got going on there.
BAILEY: I know. Talk about top notes and bottom notes. I was like, “These men, these titans of theater!”
WALLER-BRIDGE: That’s extraordinary that you were exposed to that kind of level of professionalism. Because you are consummately professional, and I remember that. You have this incredible ability to be completely live and spontaneous and wild at the same time as being so incredibly professional, and that’s why working with you felt totally safe. I know that I’ve got a professional actor coming today, but I have absolutely no idea what’s going to happen because you still managed to keep that spontaneity and danger.
BAILEY: I suppose it’s sometimes dangerous. Today I had to do an interview. Crashing came up and I described working with you as being on the constant edge of an orgasm and also hysteria.
WALLER-BRIDGE: It did have a kind of wild, beautiful energy.
BAILEY: There’s a chemical alchemy when you get the right group of people led by the right people.
WALLER-BRIDGE: I haven’t had that in quite the same way since, where everyone has equal importance in the story. That’s the thing that feels quite rare, actually, there’s like six of you and they’re all as fucked up as each other. I remember your audition. You came in like a fireball and you already felt like you had a Sam energy. You sat in your chair, took out your script from your bag, and then you were like, “Give me a second,” and you laid out your script around you on the floor. You had no embarrassment about what you needed or in front of you. You didn’t actually refer to it again, but you took those few seconds to just completely set up what you exactly needed for that audition, and then you were so free. And I just wonder if you’ve felt that particular type of confidence your whole life?
BAILEY: That’s a really good question. I’ve got three older sisters and I wonder if they are a structure. I’ve definitely been in environments where I don’t feel free, and then you give the worst performance of your life. What I’ve found in the last few years is that, of course, you have to adapt so quickly to work out what you need in order to be able to be free. I think if I don’t have the equivalent of that on the floor, I panic or get really scared.
WALLER-BRIDGE: There’s something about that, which is being able to play dangerously in a safe environment. I feel like that’s got so much to do with an understanding of tension, which I think you have. You’re like a chemistry machine. Obviously, with Bridgerton and then in Fellow Travelers, there’s this incredible erotic energy that people are so excited about.
BAILEY: I really think it comes from Crashing.
WALLER-BRIDGE: It doesn’t come from Crashing, it comes from you. I think you’re the king of tension. I think you understand what that is.
BAILEY: I think you can give yourself butterflies, can’t you?
WALLER-BRIDGE: Is that what you’re looking for, the butterfly all the time?
BAILEY: Yeah, I’m always looking for my butterfly farm. The misty, slightly smelly greenhouse full of butterflies.
WALLER-BRIDGE: That’s your tummy?
BAILEY: Yeah, that’s my tummy.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Did you always dream of playing leading man roles growing up?
BAILEY: Not at all, no. I never thought I would be able to.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Why?
BAILEY: I’ve realized that I’m completely in awe of other people and performances and creative endeavors. I go to the theater and I love a performance and I’m like, “How do they do that? I can’t see the seams.” So therefore, I feel like I must be driven by that. And when something comes my way, there’s a fear that it won’t work.
WALLER-BRIDGE: What’s really exciting to me is when I see palpable dynamics between characters, which you have done multiple times, like the relationship between Tim and Hawk. There’s so much opportunity for intimacy and that kind of danger. And when you get to play those sorts of roles, when you know that you can stand in front of each other and you don’t really need to do anything because it’s giving you something, it must’ve just been a joy walking into this world because it’s like a banquet of stuff to play with, right?
BAILEY: Totally, and it feels sort of vital and sexy. I do remember this one memory, which I guess I’ll share with you now. I did play and there was a tiled wall,at eye level with a mirrored border around. And there was a guy, we were into each other, and I remember just looking up in the middle of a conversation and he was looking at me in a reflection. And I was like, “This is what life is about.” Anyway, I think that it must have something to do with feeling the most alive in that.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Do you know Esther Perel?
BAILEY: Yeah, I love Esther Perel.
WALLER-BRIDGE: So she’s written about how she believes that your next orgasm begins at the very end of your last one, which is basically our whole life just building up to our next orgasm.
BAILEY: That’s just fantastic. It’s just so positive and hopeful—
WALLER-BRIDGE: And so beautiful, isn’t it?
BAILEY: It is.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Everything that you encounter in your life, every conversation that you have, is in some way building up to the next euphoric physical experience. Every single character has to have that inside them one way or another, because every human does. And I think with Fellow Travelers, because you long for them so much as an audience and you want them to have everything that they want from each other, but they’re also brutal to themselves and to each other, there is something so extraordinary seeing characters in that time portrayed in the way that you guys have portrayed them.
BAILEY: One thing that we’re all born with is the sense of longing. Longing comes before anything else, doesn’t it? Whoever you put on the wall, laminate the poster or whatever, it’s there. And actually, if you long for someone, more often than not you don’t think you are worthy of it. And that, to me, is a way into characters.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Do you remember your laminated poster longing person?
BAILEY: I think I had the Simpsons, which was obviously me trying to disguise myself as much as possible. Lucy Liu was a big one for me, too.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Well, I can see that.
BAILEY: I suppose there’s the laminated wall in my literal bedroom and then there’s the laminated wall in my gay—
WALLER-BRIDGE: Mind.
BAILEY: Who was yours?
WALLER-BRIDGE: You know what? It’s really interesting, because I was the eagle in the Rescuers Down Under. That wasn’t necessarily a sexual longing, but it was a romantic idea, that overwhelming sense of watching the Rescuers Down Under and being able to run out of the back of my house on my own, age 10, and jump onto the back of a giant eagle and he’ll fly me around. But in terms of just a hottie that I really fancied, I think it was probably Leo [DiCaprio].
BAILEY: Oh, yeah.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Are you a nostalgic person?
BAILEY: Yes, I think so. I think a lot about my younger self. I’m always like, “Guys, remember this?” It’s slightly annoying, but I’m always drawing a line between the past and now for sure.
WALLER-BRIDGE: That’s how you measure your life, by remembering the time that’s gone by or what 11-year-old you would think of what you were doing?
BAILEY: I think I’m probably more romantic than nostalgic, if that makes sense.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Go on.
BAILEY: Well, I just think I’ve fully committed to the idea of everything being brilliant and then I work backwards from there.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Well, having starred in two hit period dramas and also being a huge part of the fact that they are a hit, that’s why I wondered about what your relationship is with the past and history, and how much you actually knew about McCarthy America?
BAILEY: Oh, no. Have you got a quiz?
WALLER-BRIDGE: I actually don’t. Do you want one?
BAILEY: No, that would be the worst.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Do you enjoy historical novels? Do you live in the past in any way in your mind? Or you are kind of like, “We’re here and we’re moving forward?”
BAILEY: I do think I’m here and moving forward. I really struggled with history at school, I could not take in information about the past. When it came to exams, I would remember the page where things were written but I couldn’t stitch together epochs and eras and kings.
WALLER-BRIDGE: It crashes my brain, too. I have a friend, and you can say to her, “June 24th, 1999,” and she can tell you pretty much what she was up to.
BAILEY: That’s amazing.
WALLER-BRIDGE: You can see her go into the diary in her mind. She has a very different wiring of her brain. But speaking of longing, are there any fictional or real life couples, gay or straight, that captured your heart over the years?
BAILEY: Oh my god, what a question. What about Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling in Blue Valentine?
WALLER-BRIDGE: I think Morticia and Gomez Addams were the most romantic couple.
BAILEY: Yeah, I see that.
WALLER-BRIDGE: They understood it. They got it all.
BAILEY: Also maybe Ryan and Marissa in The OC.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Any gay male couples that you ever looked up to or were romanced by?
BAILEY: Well unfortunately, there just weren’t that many were there growing up.
WALLER-BRIDGE: So wild.
BAILEY: But I met Matthew Rhys recently, who I just love. And I was thinking about that relationship in Brothers and Sisters. And then there was Queer as Folk. Russell, T. Davies changed the game. So many people owe so much to him just purely for visibility. There is no Tim and Hawk to a 2023 audience without Queer as Folk.
WALLER-BRIDGE: But did you feel frustrated?
BAILEY: Well, speaking of history, I was doing media studies with an amazing teacher and I decided that I was going to do my dissertation about the representations of Hutus and Tutsis and the Rwanda genocide, looking at Hotel Rwanda and Shooting Dogs. And then Brokeback Mountain came out and I was like, “Hang on, how can I possibly create a world where I can go and have a free pass to go to the cinema to watch it 10 times?” I’m really proud of my 17-year-old self, I wasn’t necessarily out, but I changed the topic to representation of homosexuality in Brokeback Mountain and I watched that film 10 times. And this amazing teacher, Dr. Brunton, who probably had an idea of what was going on, was just like, “This is brilliant, keep going, keep going.” And I think it was the best mark I ever got.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Do you still have it?
BAILEY: It must be on a hard drive upstairs in the attic. And obviously, that completely changed me, something chemical happened there. But it’s funny, I’m not clear on memories. And I do think it’s a common thing for a lot of people, growing up and having to survive and be basically in fight or flight, there’s a murkiness to how I recall.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Of course, because you couldn’t be truly present because you weren’t being completely yourself.
BAILEY: Totally, yeah.
WALLER-BRIDGE: When you look back and start unpacking it, do you feel overwhelmed with sympathy for how hard you were having to work as a 16-year-old, coming up with excuses to see the movie that you wanted to see?
BAILEY: Yeah. But I spent more time trying to be sympathetic towards the people that were around me who didn’t support or couldn’t help. I look back and I go, “Hell.”
WALLER-BRIDGE: Yes. But you are representing that and living that for so many people now. Your speech at the Critics Choice Awards the other day was so sublime and beautiful and straight from the heart. You are so electric as a human being and that is the most important thing. There aren’t many people in the world that can do that, that can stand there in front of people and speak from their heart about what it means to them to be given this opportunity. And I know that your career is just going to be the most extraordinary journey. When I first met you, I remember sitting with Josh [Cole], who was the producer on Crashing, and we were like, “If we get this guy, it’s going to be the game changer for the show.” And I know that every single person now wanting you on their project is feeling the same thing.
BAILEY: I definitely feel overwhelmed by that, but it’s lovely to hear.
WALLER-BRIDGE: Can I just ask you one question which I couldn’t remember about Crashing?
BAILEY: Yeah.
WALLER-BRIDGE: The frosted tips were your idea, wasn’t it?
BAILEY: I had this conversation today. I think it’s in the script. But my reference picture was Justin Timberlake in double denim.
WALLER-BRIDGE: No, I don’t think it was [in the script], because Sam’s a character that I hold closest to my heart because, in so many ways, he represents how I feel about maybe my inner life. I just love him so much, and your ability to play every single little corner of him that I dreamed of.
BAILEY: Maybe that’s the answer I was looking for when you asked if I was drawn to any romantic couples? No, it was just about wanting bleach blonde hair.

Their Dirty Secrets (Brothers x Reader)
The brothers, to remind all of you, are demons. Demons are known for... not exactly being truthful. Usually manipulative, malicious, secretive, etc.... and while our beloved boys are most definitely not that- they are still demons.
Canonically, they give into temptation very easily.
Theres more to these boys then what they lead on.
Warnings: heavy invasions of privacy, slight manipulation in Asmo's section, somnophilia in Satan, Beel, and Belphie's sections. Non-con in Belphie and Beel's.
---------------------
Lucifer had cast a spell on the full length mirror in your room. It happened when he became furious with you one night- and he wanted to ensure he knew about all your little plans and going-ons with his brothers. How dare you think you could "fix" his family.
You, of course, never found out about this spell he cast. It essentially worked as a one way mirror, with the entirety of your room projected onto anywhere he wanted to watch you from- usually his D.D.D or the mirror in his own room.
But as time went on, and things happened... he did eventually stop using it, and in time, completely forgot about it. He never intended to use it to invade your privacy, but...
It was evident one night that you smelled... different. Human smells were such weird scents. He could tell you were shifting a little too much; you had a light blush on your cheeks throughout dinner, and you seemed to be absorbed in your own world. And when he remembered about the one way mirror, he went back to his room to see if you were alright- that was all he intended to do.
But when he saw you get on your bed and shove your hand down your pants, he couldn't help himself. He stood there, transfixed on you as he folded his arms over his chest. He watched you like a hawk- watched you pleasuring yourself.
And if you had found yourself imagining Lucifer on top of you- if you had found yourself moaning his name for whatever reason.... well, you have him to thank for that. After all, nobody would be finding out about this little secret, so why shouldn't he use a little bit of his demonic power to indulge you in what fantasies you really wanted?
Mammon has, in the past, been known to jack off. Lucifer knows it, Levi knows it, Belphie knows it... hell, even Diavolo knows it. Asmo still to this day teases him about it.
But Mammon eventually grew out of that little phase of his- that was until you popped in.
Months into your stay in the devildom, and you had passed out on his shoulder during a movie. Once said movie was over, he refused to wake you up, and instead picked you up to place you on your bed.
Before that, however, he made sure to put your RAD clothes away for you- opening your dresser drawer only to immediately blush when he saw all of your underwear lined up neatly.
Mammon, unfortunately, is also known to steal things. See where I'm going with this?
He really couldn't help himself. Your underwear were right there infront of him... how was he suppose to resist? They were practically begging The Great Mammon to be taken!
And so he did. He shoved a pair into his pocket, before swiftly putting your clothes away and leaving you to sleep.
When he got to his room, he couldn't help himself. While your panties may have only smelled like fresh laundry- you had still worn them. And merely having these in his possession was driving him insane.
For a moment, he considered how much Grimm he might be able to sell them for- but he swiftly dismissed this thought, in favour of keeping them all to himself.
He didn't do much with the panties after stealing them. Simply tossing them in his bedside drawer and forgetting about them.
That was until, he had a particularly fun dream about you. God, he was so obsessed with you, he couldn't help but wake up so achingly hard.
And with practiced motions, he grabbed his cock and started pumping- that was until his head happened to turn and spot your panties lying there in his open bedside drawer.... and he had a wonderfully sinful idea.
He came all over the inside of your panties, right where your lips would touch the cloth. The thought of him filling you up with his cum, having it spill into your panties as you were forced to walk around with it inside of you.... that thought alone nearly made him instantly hard again.
He admired his work, before tossing them off somewhere in his room and falling back asleep. The next morning he started to feel bad about it all- stealing it, then cumming in it... and while he did feel bad, he also.... absolutely loved the idea of you wearing panties he's cummed in.
So, he washed them, then returned them to their respectful drawer when you were out... only to end up stealing another pair to do it all over again.
.....at this point, any new underwear you get, Mammon already knows about them. And also- he's gone through all of your underwear at least twice over. He may or may not have 'accidentally' used any you've bled into from your period quite a few more times then the rest.
Sweet, Sweet Leviathan. Not even he is safe from his demonic needs.
He ended up lending you a blanket during a long gaming night one time, and you got your normie human scent so deeply ingrained in the fabric.... you had wrapped it around yourself like a cocoon- it wasn't your fault his room was so damn cold!
But once you had left very early in the morning, he took back his blanket to find your scent heavily lingering.... and you can safely say he didn't wash that blanket until your scent was completely gone from it. And even then, he washed it only to practically force it onto you so he could have your scent on it again.
All because he just loves smelling your human scent as he fucks himself. Wrapping the blanket around himself as he pumps his cock, pretending he's absolutely buried inside of you.
He's definitely cum multiple times into the blanket as it's been wrapped around his cock.
On occasion, he'll "loan" you the blanket, hoping that you'll get even more of your scent on it as you sleep. He gets excited just thinking about it possibly wrapped around your hips, thighs, your core....
There was one time you came on it- you couldn't help it... you felt so unbearably horny all of a sudden! And you made a mess all over the blanket as you pleasured yourself to the thought of Lucifer pounding into you; promptly falling asleep almost immediately after your release. When you woke up the next morning, you barely remembered what happened the previous night, and returned the blanket to Levi without a second thought.
Levi didn't know the details, but all he knew was that you did cum on it. He could smell it- so deeply ingrained into the fabric, and he was ecstatic. He slept with that blanket- with his face buried in that spot every night for a month.
He took immense pleasure in cumming on the very same spot you did. And after he washed the blanket, he just gave the blanket back to you to scent for him.
Satan's plan had worked! Blamed for something you had no part in, Lucifer had strung you up just like he usually did with Mammon, opting to give you a taste of what could happen should you continue to act like his brothers.
And so, the blonde was quite thrilled to see you hanging by chains in the library- awkwardly dangling slightly above him, but definitely not out of his reach. Perfect.
Satan then offered to help you out- to place a spell on you, to put you to sleep for the duration of your punishment.
You swiftly agreed, feeling the pangs of hunger from your missed lunch gnaw away at you.
And so, you were swiftly put into a dreamless sleep, Satan admiring your powerless body before getting to work.
First, a beautiful pink collar. He locked it around your neck with a snap, before popping on a pair of cat ears to your head and attaching a cute little tail to the back of your pants.
Oh, how Satan loved seeing you like this. His little kitten. So perfectly presented and dressed up for him.
He stripped you of your shirt, and huffed as he had to make due without your tail because of the loss of your pants. That left you in only your bra and underwear, much to his enjoyment.
He took a moment to admire you, his cock starting to strain in his pants as he stared a little too long at the black panties that separated your core from the air. He was so close to tearing them off you just to get a better look.... but he denied himself.
Instead, out came his D.D.D, snapping pictures at different angles, making sure to get the cat ears in some shots, and to pin the tail onto your underwear for others.
He wanted to dress you and leave now, but his cock was aching just being close to you- being able to smell your scent so purely and so close up.... he couldn't help himself.
He stroked himself for quite a few minutes before he came into his hand, and as he came down from his high he placed a chaste kiss to your clothed cunt, before working to clean his hand and then clothe you.
Asmodeus loves to tease you. Lucifer knows it, you know it, Mammon knows it, everyone knows it. And once Asmo made a pact with you- he was all over you.
Just looking at you turned him on in all the right ways. And while he was disappointed his powers didn't work on you, he didn't only have his charm power to use on you.
He was fine with how things were for a while, however. But it was taking you so long to get horny! To indulge yourself in his sin (he would be able to tell from your pact with him)!! So he took matters into his own hands.
It was so easy. All he had to do was slip some magic into your plate of food at dinner- really, he could hardly contain himself! He wondered what you would sound like- how heavenly the scent of your intense arousal would be.
He watched with a grin as you shifted uncomfortably; a blush dusting your cheeks. He knew his plan had worked.
He followed you to your room after dinner, placing his ear at the door to ensure everything was going according to plan. And it sure was. He could hear clothing rustle, smell the arousal dripping from your heat, and most importantly- your breathy moans.
That was all he wanted. Was for you to indulge yourself. To succumb to lust- even just once! And he was content to listen for a few moments. To savour every delicious moan, every lewd squelch and shifting of bed springs.
And eventually, with a smile on his face, he walked back to his room to give himself a bath. He knew now that you were ready for him- that you were even more connected with him then before, and he knew that you'd soon be coming to him begging him to give you such a wonderful night in his bed and in his arms.
Beelzebub, admittedly, isn't all that sexual. He doesn't think much of it, nor does he partake in anything.
However, things changed one day when Lucifer was particularly angry with everyone. You, who had participated in a prank with the Anti-Lucifer league, and Beel himself with eating the entire contents of the kitchen- as well as the plates.
You, unfortunately, had found yourself tied up in the library, with nobody else around to be with you.
And Beel was wandering around aimlessly- intensely starving due to the barrier Lucifer had put on the kitchen door.
Nobody else was out and about- nearly everyone was either being actively punished, or was in hiding from the intensely angry pride demon.
But when Beel had found you, his eyes lit up so magically. He came right up over to you, and he couldn't help but draw his nose into the crook of your neck. You smelled so good... he desperately wanted to take a nibble of you.
He peered at you, but your eyes didn't meet his. In fact, you seemed to be knocked out. Asleep.
His stomach growled, and his eyes hungrily dragged along your body, strung up so perfectly before him.
He wanted to take a bite right out of you, but he really didn't want to hurt you. So what could he do...?
His eyes came to your clothed sex, and in his hungry desperation, he mumbled an apology as he tore off your pants and underwear, barely needing to bend his knees to place his face right between your legs.
His tongue came out and took a long lick across your lips, and he shuddered at the taste. He needed more.
His hands came to grip your hips; you felt so perfect under his fingertips. His mouth latched onto your cunt, desperately dipping his tongue in and out of your entrance.
He flicked over your clit a few times as well, earning a shudder from your limp body. Oh, how he did like the way you moved. And he loved the way you tasted. You seemed to get so much wetter after he flicked your clit- so he did it again, earning himself even more slick to coat your beautiful pussy.
And Beel continued to eat you out as if you were the most divine meal in all the realms- and to him, you were. You were so deliciously perfect, and he couldn't help but love the way your body unconsciously shifted under his touch.
The chains clattered as your body was suddenly overcome with violent shakes- as Beel delightfully drank from you like his life depended on it.
And after your orgasm, he pulled away, his stomach no longer growling as he admired his work. Your thighs leaked with your arousal, and Beel's chin was coated in it.
He licked his lips, dressing you once more before heading off, completely content.
Belphegor had heard everything. Mammon sneaking into your room and coming out with fabric balled up in his hands. The way you pleasured yourself while moaning Lucifer's name, the curses you spoke quietly when you realized you'd cum on Levi's blanket... He heard Satan undressing you, found his twin eating you out shortly after....
And oh, Belphie was furious. Everyone else had had a bit of you. He could practically taste Lucifer and Asmo's magic rolling off of you, he could smell a faint hint of Mammon between your legs when he laid his head on your lap, he would angrily rip Levi's blanket off of you in favour of laying on top of you himself....
All his brothers had gotten to you before him. And he was pissed.
Lucifer and Asmo used their magic, so why couldn't he?
Oh, Belphie would take care of you. Late one night, he snuck into your room and put you into a deep sleep- one he was sure you wouldn't be waking from anytime soon.
He let you dream such delicious dreams as well; he let you see such vivid sights as dream-him fucked you so hard you could cry.
Meanwhile, he easily stripped you of your clothing, ditching your underwear and bra along with everything else. Finally, he got to see, smell, touch and taste what should have always been his- this is much farther then any of his brothers had gotten.
He was swift to rub fast circles into your clit, an evil grin on his face as he watched you squirm in your sleep. He suckled on your nipples, stuck his thumb into your mouth, and eventually shoved a couple fingers past your folds.
He loved the way your body naturally responded to him, his magic was so perfect for this kind of thing- and he was sure now that this wouldn't be the only time he'd do it.
After he made sure he got you wet enough, he pulled out his hard cock and dove right in, pounding into you with reckless abandon as he chased his own high.
You were perfect- so tight and so wet for him...
He couldn't help himself, and he came deep within you. He shot rope after rope of thick, creamy cum, he was sure you were full to the brim.
Its something he smiled about as he pulled out and watched his seed drip past your folds, delighting in the thought of you waking up from the best sleep you've had in your life to discover that someone had used you. Would you be mad? Scared?
The sadist in Belphie was absolutely delighted. He wouldn't have had this night end any other way- and he was sure he'd be back soon.

I seen this 3 weeks ago but I'm barely posting it because I forgot lol work got crazy
okay some immediate thoughts on The Menu (2022), I literally just got out of the theater so it's very fresh and jumbled in my mind. ⚠️some spoilers included⚠️
Definitely a slow start and requires paying attention to little details to really get a read on the individual characters but I really enjoyed that. It makes you uneasy throughout most of it
It could have used a little more gore/blood but honestly the kills that happened were so jarring and unexpected it made up for the lack of blood
my sister ( a person who went to culinary school), and I (a person who went to art school) both enjoyed the aesthetic of the movie very very much! especially the close ups of the individual courses and descriptions that went along with them. they were beautiful and an interesting way to break up scenes
the characters were all so well done in terms of making you not root for them lol. a group of stuck up, rich people who just right off the bat were people I knew I wouldn't like
that being said the casting was wonderful! everyone played their character so well!
Tyler was so annoying! He had hyperfixated vibes at first where it was very relatable that he was so obsessed with the restaurant and the chef and everything. But as the movie went on he treated Margot like shit for not being as interested even though he was fucking paying her!! like bro you just spent half of the beginning of this saying she was so cool and being cutesy with her and also oh yeah she's an escort so quit being a dick you had to pay her to be there!
I will say Tyler's death definitely hurt me in a weird way. Watching Slowik humiliate him in front of everyone and then say something so cruel that he goes to kill himself...oof.
Also Tyler knowing for 8 months about everything!!! fuck dude.
Lilian and Ted were so realistic in the way that food critics(or any high end critics)talk about the dishes put in front of them. They could never just enjoy something, they always had to find the negative, never could be pleased or satisfied because that doesn't make an interesting review
Margot standing up to Slowik and making him make her a cheeseburger because of his past was so beautiful. Her push back to him being both disrespectful and firm while also giving him back that memory of being a line cook at a burger place from his youth. Of reawakening that love of cooking in him for just a moment.
the overall theme of an artist losing their love for their craft not necessarily it being their fault but because of the community that surrounds that medium was very rough for me to watch as an artist. The art world(any form of art) is so full of classicism and the further you get, the more praise you receive, the more known you become, the harsher it is to you. Not for the sake of bettering you or the craft, no its often just a game of egos and money and fame. Slowik had started off a line cook with a love of what he was doing and then to please the community that surrounded him he changed, and the thing that he loved, that he cherished, it became a chore. a punishment.
Everyone had a reason to be there and I can't find any pity for them except maybe the workers in the kitchen.
the scene with the tortillas had me screaming!!! the exposure of the misdeeds was mwah!!!
Also the fact that no one really tried their hardest to get away was really interesting. they protested things happening to them, they screamed and yelled and tried to escape a few times but it never felt frantic, it never felt like they were desperate to live.
that ties into the way that they eventually accept their fate at the end. they know why they're all there and they know it's pointless to fight or scream about their status or offer money/fame/etc.
they also all in their own way had lost their way in life and the whole menu was designed to show them that as well as how they ruined Slowik's love of his art

Snippet Sunday
I was tagged by the wonderful human @aurevell Here’s a snippet for the Stargent fic I’m working on for Stargent Week this month (for context, Stiles shares an apartment in Chicago with Chris and Allison)—
“Oh no oh no oh no” he mumbled into his pillow. Anyone watching might have said he was overreacting, but Stiles knew better.
This, he knew at once, was more than just a harmless fantasy about a hot older guy. No, this was the culmination of an obsession that had been quietly growing in strength over the past year as he sipped cups of hot cocoa curled up reading on the couch, with Chris on the other end flipping through magazines on blustery winter days.
It was the natural (and horrifying) result of seeing Chris soften, morphing from the sharp-edged hunter to the kind of guy who wore joggers and ridiculously soft sweaters and t-shirts when he was hanging out around the house.
This was a direct consequence of Allison deciding she wanted to spend Christmas with Lydia, and leaving Chris and Stiles at home alone for the holidays, where they played long games of scrabble in which they spent half the time arguing and the other half laughing while making up increasingly ridiculous words, and stayed up all night on Christmas Eve watching all of Stiles’s favorite Christmas movies and drinking way too much eggnog.
He should have known, but he’d convinced himself the warm feeling sitting low in his belly was just the result of a friendship that he enjoyed. He had to believe that, because this was a guy who was not only old enough to be his father, but was Allison’s actual dad.
“I’m going to hell,” Stiles moaned, flailing his limbs around the bed.
*Editing because I forgot to tag anyone the first time! Anyway, low pressure tag to @like-lazarus @oftincturedwords @anaxandria-writes and @exlibrisfangirl Also, if any of you are writers who don’t really get tagged in things, message me and let me know! Most of the people I know are writers get tagged in these a lot, but I’m sure some of y’all are writers who just haven’t had a lot of interaction yet, so definitely feel free to let me know if you’d like to be tagged in these, or just consider yourself tagged in this one <3

2022 MOVIE OF THE WEEK #33
Tumblr media
disenchanted. i......have been avoiding this review since literally months ago because just thinking about reviewing this movie makes me sad and tired. if you loved this movie, which i think some people must have because i’ve seen the occasional gifs from it on my dash, feel free to skip this. it’ll go behind a cut, because i suspect it’s gonna get long.
(spoiler alert: it got ridiculously long. how did i have five thousand words to say about this? and if anyone besides leander reads this i’ll be shocked but that’s fine cuz they were the one encouraging me to make it through this rant and if they hadn’t i definitely would have given up even trying a long time ago.)
and it is pretty much universally negative, because i could not have been more looking forward to this sequel featuring literally my favorite disney (noncanon but still mine) princess and it not only let me down (as sequels tbh do a lot so that’s not even surprising) but it sincerely broke my heart.
in a ‘wow i’m being really overdramatic about a disney movie’ sort of way, but it’ll make more sense after i explain it, i promise. you had to be there, i think, to care as much as i do, and only @actuallylukedanes was, so it was also pretty convenient that i ended up watching this with them when they were gonna watch it with their partner and invited me to join. cuz they felt the same way i did about the sequel, which is how i knew i was not overreacting.
it was also leander who advised me to start posting completed reviews of other 2022 movies since i was stuck on this one, even though i never posted them out of order before. (i ended up realizing in january that i totally forgot a movie from 2022, so it’s good i wasn’t as obsessed with perfect chronology anyway.)
the first warning sign i had with this movie was honestly its release. they had been talking about an enchanted sequel for so long that i had stopped hoping for one, and then when it was really happening they wouldn’t even put it in theaters!! i was so pissed off about that, because enchanted felt like a magical (pun intended) experience for me in 2007.
it came out exactly on my birthday, when i turned 23, and @actuallylukedanes and i saw it in the theater to celebrate. we lived in utah then, and were happy rather than homeless, and we paid for the movie using a card that had a ‘reward’ system like a lottery where they told you they would at some random time choose a single purchase you made, and reimburse you for it. out of everything we paid for with that card, it was the tickets to enchanted that they made free.
and i couldn’t have been more excited to see enchanted back then, because it was a real live musical, and those have always been rarer than i wish they were, and the cast was ridiculously great. long before amy adams was making bigger movies, she had played tara’s cousin on buffy and a memorable one-episode character on charmed, and i had just always loved her an unreasonable amount like i had been waiting for her to be a movie star. plus i had discovered wicked in college and dove deep into other idina menzel musicals as well as every one of her solo albums (and singles that weren’t sold anywhere, which i downloaded illegally because that is called devotion) and was just generally obsessed with her for years.
and then there was patrick dempsey, reliable dreamy star of grey’s anatomy (which i gave up on quickly but he was good in) and james marsden of the x-men trilogy i had watched a zillion times. (his character was not one i liked in that, but he was great as a comedic part of this.) i had grown up with susan sarandon and wasn’t used to her as a villain but she brought just the right level of Too Much, and her henchman was perfectly cast. they somehow managed to even make the child in the story not annoying, which can be really rare, especially when she has an actual role--but she’s great.
the mix of animation and live-action was really fun, and when giselle’s dress goes from cartoon to sparkly 3d it was so swoony. truly like a disney fantasy sort of moment, they brought so much to life. and they did so even where it shouldn’t have worked! the basic plot of ‘two couples aren’t meant to be so they switch partners amongst themselves and then it’s perfect’ is not one i like in other movies, but here i’m just like, yeah absolutely, dance with patrick dempsey in your pretty dress, and let idina menzel go live in a fairy tale.
but in addition to all of that, and the catchy, catchy music, what i really, truly loved about enchanted, and why it was one of my all time favorite movies to put on that i never got sick of (along with mamma mia and a few others, i really like musicals okay), is how much it turned out that i identified with giselle. how much she not only made sense to me, even as she was supposed to be this wide-eyed disney princess, but how she gave me language for things i was still figuring out, and i got so attached to that.
i was 23 years old. i had left home less than two years earlier, and i didn’t know i was autistic yet, let alone bipolar/anxious/adhd/disordered eating all knotted together. i hadn’t begun thinking about what it meant to be ‘developmentally disabled,’ and how unprepared that made me for adulthood, independence or being in a relationship. I had just leaped into all those things, and i wasn’t necessarily all that good at any of them.
but there was giselle, singing her way through a world she didn’t understand how to navigate either, and it was okay because there was somebody who loved her for her exact weird self and a child who needed her. (substitute cats for child and you see where i’m coming from.) she was relentlessly optimistic but also cursed by forces outside her control, and she was full of creativity.
my absolute favorite moment that giselle has in the whole movie, when it comes to why it was important to me, is when she experiences anger. at first she can’t even name it, and then there’s a kind of joy she finds in it, in having a new feeling...in having the FREEDOM to feel that difficult feeling, and not need things to be perfect all the time. until i saw that scene, i had never realized that my childhood had trained me to not be angry--before i was even conscious that had happened. and once i saw that scene, i started to wonder if maybe anger was something i was allowed to feel, after all.
i think if you’re not me, or you didn’t know me at 21 (a fragile adorable unstable bby desperate to be rescued from my life), it might be hard to understand that, how i didn’t just love giselle for being giselle, but loved her for being the most me a character played by amy adams could be.
up until i fell in love, and was loved in return (my only real wish thanks to moulin rouge), i collected tv and movie characters, made little lists of them, and they were always the ones i wanted to be like, ones i wanted to grow into. usually the snarky best friends, the deadpan wits, the ones who pined but never got the guy. (bby me didn’t think anything but ‘guy’ was an option.) i didn’t spend time claiming characters that were like me, that made me feel seen, until i was older. (i couldn’t, when i didn’t know who ‘me’ was.) so giselle felt like one of the first ones, with her autistic literalism and trust in humanity and her joy in everything.
then flash forward fifteen years and they’re continuing the story. even more amazingly, they’ve brought back the whole central cast (minus the child actor, who i assumed they replaced because New Morgan sings and dances, but i didn’t look it up or anything). idina is much more famous now thanks to her frozen work and of course amy adams is amy freaking adams now, nominated but never oscared, but they both came back. the direct-to-streaming release worried me, but i saw a trailer and the movie looked way better than i kind of expected, so i was excited after all. and as mentioned above, i settled in to watch it with my family.
^^^^and that is where this review left off, almost a year ago--because it was still so hard for me to wrap my brain and my heart around writing it. but at this point i’ve reviewed all the other movies i watched in 2022, AND i’ve watched almost 20 movies this year and reviewed most of them, and those reviews are just sitting in my drafts waiting for me to post them once i finish this. so here goes:
this movie was bad. obviously that’s a personal opinion or value judgement or whatever, but like...it was really, really bad. it bore no resemblance to the original and painfully reminded me how disney’s moviemaking these days is so soulless when it comes to trying to squeeze more money out of its existing IP. and i can handle fairy tale/princess modernizations that aren’t all that impressive (idina was in one of those as well, cinderella), but even those had parts that i liked or that were fun once i was grading on a curve for the whole movie. i can’t say the same for this one.
first of all, we’ve skipped time since the original, which makes sense, since everybody’s older. but nothing about the time progression makes sense, because offscreen fifteen years have passed, making amy adams 48 when this movie came out. giselle and robert have just had a newborn whose royal inheritance is what leads to the movie’s plot--at best, i guess we can assume amy was supposed to be playing giselle a lot younger than she, the actress, was. or maybe her andalasian genes make her immune to fertility averages?
either way, though, that still doesn’t explain morgan. who in addition to becoming literally a different person (and i hope they only replaced her because the original actress opted out, because she was so great in the first movie i’d resent disney for dumping her just to make the new one sing and dance, or whatever other justifications they might have) is a teenager now. Original Morgan was nine years old in enchanted, or the actress was, anyway. if we assume they meant for Original Morgan to be only seven or eight as a character, that still doesn’t explain a now-high-schooler morgan in this movie. it has been literally twice as many years in real time as it would have to have been in this movie world for morgan to be this age! and unfortunately for the movie, it’s mainly about adults, who have aged the fifteen years you would expect. so that’s ridiculous.
but anyway. somehow, all the adults from enchanted look fifteen years older but morgan’s a teen, and her parents have had a shiny new baby. idina’s character moved with prince james marsden to his world, and literally everyone is depressed now except prince james marsden (and presumably the baby). giselle sees a billboard and decides that’s a plausible reason to uproot her whole family from the city she fell in love with and that the others were from even before meeting her...to move to the suburbs.
at first, because of the impression i got from the trailer, i thought she would be moving to a perfect-seeming little enclave that was secretly evil, like a magical stepford or something, and that it would turn her evil and throw her family into peril. but the real plot is not that creative. it’s literally just the three of them moving to an ordinary suburb that (gasp!) doesn’t automatically fix their lives. instead, robert has a slog of a commute now, and in their own ways, giselle and morgan both struggle to fit in with their new local peers.
everything establishing this movie’s setup baffled me because it felt so random and flimsy, when the original was a beautiful sendup of classic disney tropes that managed to be subversive but still magical. i referred earlier to giselle deciding on a plausible reason, and i felt the same way about disney and this sequel: it felt like they decided this concept was a plausible reason to bring the cast back together, mix in a few new actors, and try to make money off the result (in this case by locking it inside their streaming service as though that would force new subscribers to disney+ instead of what i’m guessing actually happened, having less viewers for the movie than they would’ve gotten in theaters--cuz even i, the biggest fan of the original, wouldn’t have subscribed just to watch it).
but their ‘plausible’ setup is therefore that everybody’s feeling a bit meh in new york city. robert’s not excited about his job, morgan’s a sullen teenager, and giselle misses the days when everything felt magical and new and perfect. instead of recognizing that they have a freaking newborn, which i may not have experienced personally but have certainly heard is a difficult phase of life (especially the first time, for giselle), and that they simultaneously have a teenager, which anybody who’s ever been or met a teenager can tell you is a difficult phase of life for both the teen and their parents--heck, instead of just going to THERAPY when new york city is one of the few places it may still be easier to find access than everywhere else these days--they move to a random place where they know no one for truly no reason.
the movie wants us to believe that the reason is giselle seeing a billboard and believing its promise (or still being unusually literal?) but neither of those makes any sense because even if we had reason to believe that giselle hadn’t learned anything or grown in the last mysterious number of years and would truly treat a billboard like a promise rather than an advertisement (and i don’t think what we see of her in the sequel supports that idea) it’s still robert she’s married to now, and we know he’s always been someone who lovingly but firmly points that stuff out.
morgan’s unhappy because she’s a teenager, she doesn’t actually want to move, and as much as robert loves giselle, i don’t believe at all that he would just let her have her fantasy of a fresh start without injecting reality into the situation--so i think the real explanation is that both robert and giselle, for their own reasons, are desperate enough to try it despite knowing it won’t be a magic fix. but then idina menzel and prince james marsden (i should remember their character names but i really don’t at the moment) pop into their new, still-unhappy-just-in-a-different-time-zone, lives and make everything even worse. way to go guys!
continuing the flimsy plot setups, they’re visiting to give a gift to the new baby, to basically proclaim how special she is and make morgan feel like she’s neither special nor giselle’s ‘real’ daughter. giselle is thrilled by the gift from her childhood home and her former prince remains as hilarious as ever (the acting in this movie is good, they’re just not given as much to work with; ‘campy humor’ was the only element they could successfully recreate for some reason). but nancy is clearly already Over It, the former new yorker not exactly as enchanted with prince james marsden as she used to be now that she has to live with his personality 24/7.
you might expect this to be woven in with the central family’s ennui in some way, but you would be disappointed--that general intermittent eyerolly energy is never directly addressed and as far as we know by the end of the movie, she’s still with him. and i guess will remain so forever? because that’s the rule when you choose a fairy tale life?? even though giselle’s story was entirely about leaving fairy tales behind when they weren’t what she wanted???
maybe we’re supposed to read nancy’s reactions as like, lovable occasional annoyance at How Very Much her guy can be sometimes. but it didn’t come across that way to me; it seemed intentionally to mirror the dissatisfaction giselle and robert were struggling with. i could have been giving them too much credit there, i guess, in assuming deliberate parallels.
but the real point is that the adults were unhappy in the city, and now, in the suburbs, they’re still not very happy. after the gift-givers go back to andalasia, giselle makes a wish using her baby’s magic present, wanting to make their family into a fairy tale...and she gets her wish. morgan goes from a strugglng teen to a cheerful girl again, running around singing and eventually having to be the savior of her family. robert goes from a commuting lawyer to a wannabe monster slayer, and giselle slowly transforms into an evil stepmother--while the women in town who’ve been snubbing her turn into an actual villain with henchwomen in tow.
from then on, it only gets more ridiculous. amy adams is an immensely talented actor, and like i said, i’ve loved her since she was on tv. but she is not doing her best work here, switching between normal giselle and evil stepmother giselle in response to a chiming clock in a way that reminded me of one of those over-the-top acts where a guy hypnotizes people and then can trigger them to be a chicken or something. it was just so over the top, and lacked any of the emotional depth the original movie brought to her character that made me care.
and poor robert, it was clear, they did not know what to do with. a convoluted exchange with prince james marsden before the wish created circumstances where he was carrying a sword around on his commute. that, i’m sure, was supposed to help make it seem like it made sense for him to become a giant fighter or whatever. but really, they had a sequel to make in which he had to be there because he was her happily ever after in the first one, except now robert isn’t a love interest anymore, there’s no drama between them--and the actor was never meant to be a major contributor to the musical part of these movies, so what’s the point of his story? to run around looking for monsters, totally separate, and mostly unnecessary, it turns out.
the fairy tale transformations mean that we go from watching giselle being sad and hurt in response to morgan’s attitude to morgan’s being mistreated by her now-evil stepmother--neither of which is fun. in giselle’s intermittent ‘good’ moments, she tries to encourage morgan to be free of her and get help, and eventually morgan does end up in andalasia with nancy (she’s also a cartoon at that point, i think). nancy helps her understand what might fix things, and the fact that it’s up to their teenage daughter (whose complaints the whole time have honestly seemed the most reasonable to me compared to her parents’ vague ennui) to save not just her own family but both worlds from doom...it doesn’t seem at all fair. but okay.
the solution for making giselle good again involves morgan’s memories and singing and the idea that with the power of love it’ll all be fine, but what i remember most about it is that the scene is really just a vehicle for idina menzel to get her own song. which, duh--i was very disappointed that she didn’t sing in the original, and given the success of frozen, it would’ve been crazy for them not to showcase her more this time.
but the song she’s given? it’s so bad. so very bad. the others i was watching this movie with spent a significant portion of the song time mocking it, and i couldn’t blame them. at a certain point, it just devolves into idina belting the words ‘love power’ over and over and over. you know how some words or phrases become completely meaningless if you say them too much? this definitely felt like that, like the big drama’s ‘solution’ was flimsy to begin with, and then they forced a song into it that wasn’t even a good song, and got idina to sing it. she’s so much better than that! it genuinely made me wonder if she has some kind of disney contract that left her stuck dealing with this.
somehow thanks to morgan, though, giselle does stop being evil by the end--i don’t remember exactly how that scene plays out so i doubt it matters too much--and ending the sort of wish curse she inflicted on everybody means they go back to living in a normal suburb. the woman who briefly became her villain nemesis apologizes in a ‘sometimes i’m a lot oops’ way, and giselle is just like ‘hey, me too, no big deal.’
and this brings me to my two biggest problems with the movie, outside of how much it felt like it was trying to destroy any love i still held for the original.
this movie has no real villain. unlike the first one, where susan sarandon was camping it up in a delightfully appropriate way, and was defeated in the end...this movie falls into the same hole that so many New Disney Movies are determined to, for unknown reasons. we can’t have classic straight-up evil anymore; our heroes have to instead be facing antagonists that are less specific or even less corporeal. it’s family! who of course will no longer be in conflict by the end, and don’t actually need to be ‘defeated.’ or it’s emotions! and once they can be accepted rather than avoided then things will be okay again.
i’m not saying that’s a bad thing, in general. i love encanto, and i thought turning red and inside out were great. but when you’re dealing with a now-franchise whose original style was to reference and gently mock and lovingly rework classic disney tropes...why would you toss that out completely and make a sequel that feels like the other movies disney makes now? why can’t people appreciate that beloved movies are beloved for a reason and you can’t just slap the ‘brand name’ on whatever you want and act like it’s just as good?
but yeah. this movie decided to have no villain by way of having two villains, both of whom were only temporarily villainous due to indirect magic and who became normal again once it stopped. they bear no real responsibility for being villains, because after all, they aren’t really. post-movie, it seems like they may even become friends! all’s well that ends well.
which really annoyed me, lol, because it felt so incredibly pointless once i knew that was how it ended. our main character accidentally makes herself evil, makes somebody else evil, has to be saved from being evil while fighting the other evil, and the grand conclusion is that they just finish back where they started? how is that a story that moves forward, let alone a good story with some kind of point or even just a good-versus-evil win, fairy tale style?
it’s like the main conflict of the movie is created by them having problems, but then the problems they were having...are solved because they’re no longer in conflict. which brings me to my second issue with the movie’s ending: apparently the ultimate lesson of this follow up to enchanted is that growing up means learning to settle, rather than believing in happily ever afters.
despite the cheerful singing at the end of the movie that tries to make us believe it’s just as great an ending as enchanted got, i was so underwhelmed and disappointed and tbh freaked out, that they reached that conclusion. the story we were given was giselle and robert and morgan are a family now just like they wanted but they’re all unhappy, so they move out of the city to seek happiness elsewhere. and it fixes nothing which instead spirals giselle into cursing the town but in the end everybody’s okay and there are no consequences and nobody’s mad at giselle cuz she didn’t mean to do it...so she and robert and morgan commit to trying even harder to be happy in their new suburban life.
and all i can wonder is, why is that the lesson? why is that the right place to end up? why couldn’t they go back to the city and figure out their problems there, since clearly suburbia wasn’t a fix on its own? there didn’t seem to be a real reason for requiring giselle, who loved the sparkly harsh city she landed in years ago, to become a suburban mom--or for uprooting morgan, or making robert become a ‘small town practice’ kind of guy.
i guess what grates on me about it is that it has such a hallmark christmas movie vibe of just assuming their real happy ending would naturally be escaping the city, no matter how central it was to their original story and lives. whatever their deeper issues were that made them unhappy in the city, they haven’t addressed those by the end of the movie; they’ve just somewhat improved the issues that moving TO this new place piled on.
therefore my logical brain goes, you were unhappy and tried to fix it by moving but that only made things worse. why wouldn’t you reverse the making-it-worse part by going back, and then continue trying to figure out how to fix it? i just don’t get it. and i may be kind of offended by it, because the giselle who i have always adored is a completely different person in this movie, and not because of some wish curse.
she’s older, and sad, and it’s like nothing about her life is fun anymore...and maybe there could’ve been a way to craft an interesting story out of that, though i don’t know what it would be off the top of my head. but we don’t get whatever that could’ve been. and we don’t get a sequel about our faves from enchanted having more hijinks and having a to fight a new tropey villain, in the style of the first one. what we get is a story about everybody from the first one not liking their lives and having to fight the fallout from that and then concluding that hey, at least the world didn’t end so they must be better off than they thought, time to make the best of it. it deeply depressed me.
and look--i’m not saying i demand happy endings always. i don’t even require happy endings mostly! but unless there is some requirement i’m not aware of that post-pandemic we are no longer allowed happy endings at all, this was not the movie world to bring back just to say ‘the best you can hope for is meh. good luck.’ giselle and everybody else deserved better.
i will say that there was one thing about this movie that i liked. exactly one thing, sadly, or at least only one i clearly remember. i was really excited about the casting before this came out, because i love jayma mays, and maya rudolph is reliably good always. once i actually saw the movie, i was bummed that jayma mays and the other henchwoman didn’t have roles worth including, but maya rudolph was as good as i expected.
and since this movie was such a mess, she also just really stood out. she’s a ‘can do it all’ kind of performer, in a way that makes it look easy, and i feel like that’s the difference between amy adam’s background in a lot of dramatic roles and maya rudolph’s background in snl. they’re both super talented and both have range, but are a good fit for different things because of that.
so there is one song in this movie and one performance (cuz it’s the performance of it that makes it good) that i genuinely enjoyed. it’s basically a face off between the two not-actually-villains, kind of like ‘anything you can do i can do better’ but sillier and maximum camp. it’s the only part where it felt like that was what the movie was deliberately aiming for, and both actresses are fully going for it while sometimes we’re watching them parallel on splitscreen...it was ridiculous but in an entertaining rather than cringe-inducing way.
so that part is great, but also highlights even more what this movie could have been. if only they had let maya rudolph be a proper villain, the leader of a trio of new antagonists for our faves to face, that would’ve been potentially a great movie. she could have gone evil after getting her hands on the baby’s wand, then gone down fighting after the family consulted with their andalasian friends on how to deal with magically corrupted humans. the ending could have been more interesting with bigger stakes than ‘everyone survives and decides to play nice.’
heck, i could write that version of that movie! lol. but i won’t. because it would probably necessitate rewatching disenchanted and that is something i never ever want to do. that was a piece of my heart you fucked with, you jerks. and i’m gonna stay mad.

Could you share some info about your fnaf self insert? They seem pretty cool :]
OOOOOOOOH BOY ARE YOU ASKING FOR AN INFO DUMP ?BECAUSE YOU ARE ABOUT TO GET AN INFO DUMP!!!!
first off, my self insert is basically just me, but some stuff is drastically different, and more of like, where i was 5 years ago mentally, so keep that in mind lol
sooo basics: their name is Kris Tycho, they're in their early 20s, they're 4'10, they're mexican, nonbinary, and aromantic
they are just a little guy who likes silly colorful fun things, as seen from the lil googly eye ring on their hand, the way they dress, and the fact that they might be the only person who wasn't scared of the dca when first meeting! they're also a fan of slightly unsettling and weird/misunderstood things, so, perfect match!
they are autistic and have adhd (like me!) so they tend to swing from being highly alert and focused to brain foggy and oblivious to what's going on around them. they do have bad sensory issues, mainly with sound and lights, which is why they decided to work night shift at the pizzaplex. also because they're reeeaallly socially awkward and get too stressed and exhausted working in customer service
they have a monotonous way of speaking, and can be taken too seriously due to having a resting bitch face, which tends to intimidate people. they're also a huge introvert, and don't make friends easily, which is partially due to how off-putting people find them. but! when they get comfortable with someone they're able to unmask and be overly expressive.
they also aren't exactly the most professional person, so people (vanessa) can be bothered by how casual they are at work (because they literally do not have the energy to act serious when its unnecessary). vanessa, exasperated by the animatronic shenanigans one night says "fuck robots" kris jokingly says "im trying" and vanessa is just like shut the fuck up. seriously.
they have spotify playlists of all the animatronics! (sun and moons have the most songs teehee)
is more than okay with the animatronics carrying them and being overly touchy. anyone else? immediately on their shit list
they're really good at sewing, and have fixed sun and moons clothes when management ignored their requests to repair them.
their favorite animatronic from the main band is glam chica (dont tell roxy)
their favorite movie is wall-e :] (they've always had a thing for robots)
their relationship with the dca kinda blurs the lines between platonic and....other, lol. they're unable to feel romantic feelings for them but they still do stuff like kiss and cuddle maybe other stuff too, but they basically act like besties and are each others comfort person. fuck labels! >:D
their entire thought process when deciding to work at the pizzaplex was, "i'll either work here long enough to pay off my student loans, or ill die. win win situation" (yikes, the pay there isn't even that good)
they're also huge fan of fazbear ent. because of all the rumors surrounding it, and because they were obsessed with the games when they were younger (which are canonically real in the fnaf universe). they are very aware of the alleged murders surrounding faz ent. and the very real danger of working at their establishments. but they're curious! sue them!
the reason vanessa and them are the only human workers in the entire building is because there needs to be at least 2 (human) people in an establishment during work hours (my source is i used to work at chuck e cheese, and that's my reference for the majority of these kinds of things)
their job title is security guard, but vanessa regularly gives them random tasks, things that staff bots aren't programmed or are unable to do, or things that dayshift workers forgot to do before closing. because between her, the staff bots, and moon, kris isn't exactly necessary when it comes to security.
kris doesn't meet the daycare attendant until like a month into their job, and when they do meet sun they immediately get kicked out of the daycare for not being a child lol. after going down the slide enough times to irritate sun he gives in, and they get to know each other. they spend at least an hour hanging out with sun each shift, and they even hang out outside of the daycare when they get too busy to visit!
moon has been stalking them the entire time though, when the lights go off every hour. they officially meet when kris has to do monthly maintenance on them and the lights go out while they're working. moon scares them by threatening and manhandling them, but they don't try to run. both because they're curious and because their flight or fight is just freeze. but after recovering from the shock the autism makes them go "holy shit your design is so cool how did your pants change color where did your hat come from?" and moon is completely silent, then he just laughs and leaves without letting kris finish maintenence.
ummm okay so they're actually a bit more willing to die than how i previously made it seem, their plan was essentially to try to explore as much of the pizzaplex as they can out of curiosity and if they die they die (they are not mentally well) so when they meet moon and he's slightly violent and grabby with them, they're like !!! an opportunity! so for selfish reasons (and because they vibe with the celestial jester theme), they try to get closer to moon. (secret reason: they like getting scared)
In this story there is no virus, its just vanny/vanessa being able to control the animatronics, but due to that they've become very anxious and stressed. this is why chica starts to overeat, why monty starts to have anger issues, why moon starts to act scary towards the children, and why sun starts to become an anxious mess.
at first kris didn't think the animatronics were sentient, and they were perfectly fine with the thought of possibly dying to one of them. but when they realized just how sentient they were (due to spending a lot of time around sun and moon), and how the animatronics were aware of what happened at previous locations, they felt sooo incredibly guilty.
despite not thinking the animatronics were sentient they still treated them like people, partly due to their autism that made them personify inanimate objects, but also because in their mind it was 'fun to act like they were real'. like an adult going to Disneyland and getting so lost in the magic that they forget the characters are just actors.
and... i don't want to spoil too much of the story yet teehee so ill end it there
thank u for letting me ramble! even though i kinda went overboard lol :]

After Whumpee went missing, their Friend hadn’t managed to sleep for three days.
Whumpee and Friend had spoken nearly every day, and the night of their disappearance was no exception. They chatted on voice chat for a couple hours before Friend got tired and retired for the night. The last words they heard from Whumpee were a jovial “Goodnight!”.
The next day, Whumpee hadn’t responded to Friend’s usual “Good morning” message, which Friend found a little strange but they didn’t dwell on it-- maybe they were busy, or just forgot. It happens.
Friend was proven horribly wrong when the police showed up later that day asking if they knew where Whumpee-- a missing person-- could be.
None of it felt real. Friend had heard of missing people on the news, experienced them as plot points in movies and books, and saw the occasional poster but it had never registered as something that could happen so close to them. It felt like a nightmare, like maybe they would wake up any second now to a new notification from Whumpee.
But they never woke up. This was their new reality.
Friend obsessively went through their text logs, trying to find some sort of hint that something was off, that could point them to where they could possibly be. But nothing was amiss. From where they were, the trail was cold-- there was nothing they could contribute and they had no choice but to leave it to the police.
Six months passed.
Friend felt sick to their stomach every day and everyone around them was beyond worried. Therapy helped them become functional again but they hardly passed as alive. Whumpee-- their best friend-- was likely dead. The possibility ate at them and the lack of closure was slowing driving them more and more insane with every passing second.
They had some other friends who tried to help, though. They would check up on them and sometimes recommend games or youtube videos they thought Friend would like. One fateful day, an oblivious but well-intentioned friend of theirs they met online after Whumpee’s disappearance recommended a youtube series to them.
They said, “Hey, you like horror stuff right? Check this new series out! It might just be the best of its genre, I need to know what you think. The voice acting especially is phenomenal.”
Intrigued, Friend clicked on the link. The video featured an unsettling and distorted character all alone, and when the character spoke, Friend’s heart stopped.
“Why are you doing this? Why me?!” Whumpee’s voice cried out, clear as day.
Heart beating out of their chest, Friend paused the video to scroll down to the comments.
“Holy shit, props to whoever voiced Scrimblo, it sounds realistic as hell. I actually got chills.”
“This legitimately disturbs me. It’s not the visuals or the effects, but Scrimblo’s voice. This really feels like footage from an alternate universe.”
“4:03 me when I stub my toe on the table on my way to get shredded cheese at 3am”. Friend clicked on the timestamp without thinking and it skipped to a part with Whumpee’s blood-curdling scream.
Friend dug their phone out of their drawer with trembling fingers to contact the police. They finally had a lead.

is aleron more self-centered or selfless? or are they in-between? :0
hi!!! sorry for taking so long to post this but good question!! to answer this, im gonna have to completely go into the lore.
their story is in the year 2608. so why is aleron a knight if the story takes place in a futuristic world?
well, about 500 years before then, a 17-year-old girl took over the world as queen. the areas she ruled turned into medieval kingdoms and villages. the areas she couldnt control were often by the coast. those places developed into cities, like the sorta shit youd see in dystopian movies and stuff.
one day, the queen declared that she had found a way to make herself immortal. the next, she disappeared.
most assumed she was dead.
people started flocking to the cities, and the villages and kingdoms... well, they were left behind. the cities grew, and the people who dared to explore those now-abandoned areas ended up missing.
now, the year 2598. aleron's 6 years old. theyre living in one of those cities, being raised by their grandparents.
xe is a direct descendant of the queen's most loyal knight, and growing up, xe heard stories passed down from generation to generation in xir family.
this is what led them to want to become a knight. but in a much different way than that of xir ancestor. see, they wanted to be the kind of knight to be brave enough to betray the evil ruler they served.
so pretty selfless, right? yeah?
fast-forward 10 years. its 2608. aleron is 16 and already living alone. they hear about someone else disappearing after going to the nearest abandoned village.
one night after coming home, they dig through their closet and pull out a set of armor they got for their 15th birthday. xe doesnt want to put on the whole thing, so xe only chooses select pieces. a pauldron for the shoulder they hurt recently. vambraces for their lower arms. poleyns. greaves. sabatons.
xe packs a bag. xe takes the helmet from xir armor with xem, just in case. grabs their sword. and then leaves.
they head out to the village that someone disappeared in.
surprisingly, the place is still intact after 500 years. it's silent.
well, except someone calling for help.
aleron follows the voice to the side of a hill, where a cave lies. the entrance is blocked off by heavy rocks. this is their chance to save the person who disappeared. this is xir chance to show the people who made fun of xem for xir obsession with being a knight. their chance to look good. xe doesnt realize it, but this isnt for the person xe is saving.
it's for themself.
this is their first experience with self-centeredness.
xe helps the person out of the cave, but it wasnt who xe was looking for.
the person they helped says her name is mēdeia. that she got trapped in the cave after she woke up in there. that she's a 17-year-old sound-bending witch who cant really remember who she is other than that.
there's something i forgot to mention, that that necklace aleron wears? it was something that belonged to their ancestor, and, like the stories, was passed down from generation to generation.
and it just so happened that mēdeia somehow had an exact replica of the necklace.
odd.
aleron, still on the search for the missing person, leaves, but brings mēdeia with xem. better to have a sound-bending witch by your side than to travel alone and increase the chances of somehow ending up dead.
over the months, aleron starts to slip back into that selflessness.
something tugs at the back of mēdeia's mind, someone she used to know that aleron reminds her of. it's comforting, safe, but also unsettling. like they could turn against her at any moment.
and then, as aleron tells her why xe became a knight, the final pieces fall into place.
a dark tank. freezing temperatures. a guillotine. a village. a crown. an announcement of immortality.
her name wasnt really mēdeia. she wasn't just a sound bending witch. she was a queen. a queen that was assumed to be dead for 500 years. she had made herself "immortal" through cryostasis, a way of preserving living organisms through freezing them. the person aleron reminds her of is the knight who had once served her so loyally. the necklaces were a symbol of her love for that knight.
and she regrets her every action as queen. what she wants is to atone for her sins.
but when she tells aleron, who is almost a spitting image of the knight she once loved…
xe stabs her through the heart with xir sword.
this act of self-centeredness is disguised as selflessness, as a way to protect "the people" (note the use of the quotation marks. them killing her is more to protect themself than to protect others).
in that way, aleron has gone against the true purpose of being a knight, which is to protect others, not destroy others. in that way, xe is the villain.
and that act is what seals it. from now on, aleron does things for themself and themself only, but claims what they do is a way to help others.
they head back for their city, alone, giving up on their original quest, a distorted echo of their ancestor.
anyway im sorry that was so long, i just felt that if i said something like "oh they were pretty selfless but then they became selfish but then they went back to being selfless but then" etc etc without providing context, then it wouldnt really make sense????? so yeah. thansk for reading my essay /hj

nice ask week
hi D! it's nice ask week! What made you start watching LS and what was it about the show that made you spiral into fandom?
Hi Rae! Thanks for the question! 💗 Apologies for how long this took me to answer. Work took over my life this week 😢 Now buckle in for a stupidly long story 😅
Firstly, I had watched the original 911s first and half of its 2nd season whenever they aired (2018/19 thanks Wikipedia) and then totally forgot all about it because again #life 😅 I did hear about a spin off whenever they announced it but I guess the only info was that it was coming soon. Wikipedia is helping out and it seems it was May 2019. I didn’t really pay it much mind because by then I had already stopped watching the og.
So I move on with my life and don’t think about either series until September 2022. I saw a youtube clip of a scene: the throwing each other against the wall hookup from 1x02. I watched it and I was like.. OH?!👀🔥🥵 Saved it to my YouTube watch later and again forgot all about it because back then I was doing full time shift work and had no time to breathe let alone watch anything new 😂 (kicking myself because I could’ve been here a year ago) 😭
Cut to this year. I can give you an exact date i rediscovered 911 verse. May 17th 2023!! 🥳 All because of the Tarlos wedding.
Twitter is probably the platform I use the most cos it’s got all my sports content😅 Anyway I happened to be on the discover/trending tab and one of the top hashtags was #TarlosWedding which was airing that day. I clicked it to investigate and scrolled through. It was full of pics and fanvids of the wedding and again I was like OH 👁👁. I liked a bunch of the tweets to revisit and moved on with my day. A few days later because I had liked all that stuff, Twitter keeps recommending me more content. So I find myself back on YouTube and watched these:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and then a series of random scenes and I was like... okay I need full context for all of this. Another month passes and it’s probably end of June/early July and I’m like let me see if this is available anywhere to watch in Australia. I find it on Disney+ and they have seasons 1-3. This is finally when I watched the show. And then I could not stop thinking about it. S4 is no where to be found though. So I google and see it’s halfway through airing on Channel 7 here which means it won’t be uploaded to Disney+ for a while. So then I’m like UGH 😒😩😤 I wanted to binge the whole season like I had for the others. I kept tabs on when it would finish airing on TV and eventually the finale airs August 14th. The next day I start it and binge the whole season on 7Plus over a few days.
Now that I had seen their entire story so far, I was full blown hyper fixating. Like they’re on my mind ALL the time. I’m reading a book or watching a movie/show and thinking about Tarlos in place of the characters. I’m listening to a song or reading a poem/lyric and being like oh that’s so Tarlos coded😂😂 At this point i’m like oh no 😅😅 The fandom life is coming for me.
Then the biggest surprise of all I start getting the urge to write fanfic again! Which is insane because I had not written anything in (redacted) years. Like nearly every time as I was about to sleep, I start having ideas and rambling it out in my notes app at stupid hours like 2am 😂😅
Next we have the writers/actors strike and I’m like 👀trust me to find a new obsession and everyone is on strike and I’m gonna get nothing new for ages. Then I remember AO3 is a thing that exists and find my way to the 911 Lone Star tag and start reading fic again. Any spare moment I had I was itching to read whatever I could get my eyeballs on. I said to you the other day that I read your gym!AU first and look I might’ve read a random 1k word one shot or two but nothing I can actually remember like yours 😂🥵 I think the added pictures and texts made it so memorable because 1. I did not know you could do that on AO3 2. Rafael is like the hottest guy I’ve ever seen 😅😅 and 3. It was just so damn good 🥵 Sm*t with feelings and I am there. You teased the feelings a little and if/when (no pressure btw) you decide to revisit this universe just know I’ll be first in line 🙋🏼‍♀️ and the reason I can recall it as the first is it’s the oldest AO3 tab saved to my safari reading list 😅
By this point I’m reading fic through the end of August and September constantly. A few I read had peoples Tumblr links in the end notes so then I remember that Tumblr also exists 😂 I come over and lurk, explore the tags, look at all the beautiful gifs, look at a few peoples blogs and make a mental note to maybe join Tumblr again. I had 2 blogs back in hs, 1 fandom specific blog that got abandoned during my last year of hs and a sports/tv-series one I used a little in the years after hs but then again #life and I didn’t touch it after like 2016.
Come September 2023. I made a new email, signed up to Tumblr again, and requested an AO3 invite. Learning how to use this site again was wild because so much had changed since I last used it. I saw something about getting mistaken for bots so I spent a little time making the blog look nice and like an actual person exists before I bothered to follow anyone or any tags. October rolls around and I finally start using it every day and now I’m here with all of y’all 💗
Sorry for the extremely long story and again sorry for how long it took 😅😅

so i definitely forgot to post these pictures from...over a month ago
i can't believe i got to meet the OG scream cast!!! they were all so lovely. i wasn't able to get neve's autograph because she had to catch a flight, but she was so sweet in the few moments i did get to interact with her. and WOW she is even more gorgeous in person 😍
jamie kennedy was totally obsessed with my "final girl" shirt and kept saying "*i* should have been the final girl!!!" he also did the "traffic" rap from malibu's most wanted when i asked if i could take a picture of his shirt for my friend who is tragically obsessed with that movie
matthew lillard and skeet ulrich were absolutely wonderful. the con was a total clusterfuck, but they handled it with patience, kindness, and joy. they made sure everyone got their turn to say hello, get a handshake (or a bear hug), and a picture or an autograph.
matthew made sure that those with small children didn't get stuck in line all day, kept everyone's spirits up by playing music, and at one point took off running to personally return a photo to someone who left it behind.
skeet regularly checked in with his line, made sure everyone was okay, and he even rescheduled his flight to stay late!
they both stayed well past the time that the con was supposed to close, and stayed even while the event staff was breaking down the other booths and tables. they signed and smiled all day, with few breaks but no complaints. it seemed like they were genuinely happy to meet every single fan. they also seemed super happy to be hanging out with each other, regularly popping over to each other's tables to goof around.
matthew gave me possibly one of the longest, squeeziest hugs of my life (while saying "don't let go! don't let go!" so the girl at his table could get pictures of him pulling faces behind my back), and skeet helped me decipher matthew's very creative scribbling of my name where he signed my photo (by taking my signed photo op to his table and asking "hey matt, what the hell is this?!") these guys are just the absolute best. they made what could have been a really shitty day a great experience in the end ❤️

Tumblr media Tumblr media
I actually alternate between these two, depending on the vibe. Both sad places with sad stories behind them, but very pretty to look at and vibe to.
The last song you listened to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMQeYF_xOxE Looked it up to send to someone, forgot how much it slaps and had to listen to the whole thing.
Currently reading: Re-reading "The Body Keeps the Score" because March is a, let's say less than pleasant month for me and remembering that trauma does leave a mark and how to handle it is helpful to remember.
Last Movie: I honestly can't remember. Probably Lord of the Rings or something?
Craving: A $5 Hot & Ready pizza and I don't know why.
What are you wearing right now? Pajamas. Floral pj pants paired with a random shirt I grabbed out of the laundry instead of the shirt that came with the pants.
How tall are you: Too tall to wear heels and not look awkward in them.
Piercings: Hard to have piercings when your body is allergic to most metals.
Tattoos: One. A phoenix on my back.
Glasses? Contacts? Glasses all the way.
Last drink: Water
Last show: I sat and watched a little Recess on Disney Plus with my younger brother for a bit, if that counts. I don't really watch tv or movies. Not out of any pretentious reasoning or anything. I'm just very tired all the time.
Last thing you ate: Chicken and rice with some leftover carrot cake for dessert.
Favorite color: The dark dramatic ones, preferably in jewel tones.
Current obsession: Right this moment? Sleep. Otherwise just writing for giggles.
Unrelated obsession: My monster slippers for being super plush, nonslip, and whimsical. Everyone should have good monster slippers.
Any pets: 1 cat, Miss Daisy. And she's the best cat.
Do you have a crush on anyone? Not really? It takes a *lot* for me to find someone attractive to the point where I'd crush on them, which probably puts me firmly in the aromantic category.
Favorite fictional character: Sotha Sil, Lahabrea, and I really do have a type of silver haired, possibly ancient, people who are depressed/emotionally constipated and are the inventive type.
The last place you traveled: For fun? Buddy, I don't remember that far back, since it was definitely in the pre-pandemic times. Otherwise, work. Which is depressing.
Like Kels, I threw a blank copy under the cut for those who feel like playing along.

top 5 pieces of vampire media!
Oho thank you for indulging me, don't mind if I do. I half-drafted this and then forgot about it for a while, but here we go!
So if you haven't noticed, I periodically go through a vampire phase every fall but it's somewhat haphazard because I've never watched some well-known pieces of vampire media like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Blade, or Castlevania. Also, this list might be entirely different in six months when I've read/watched more vampire media if this phase continues! So, with that caveat:
Bonuses: "The House of Aunts" by Zen Cho (amazing short story about Malaysian vampires), the opening sequence of The Hunger where vampires are killing people to "Bela Lugosi's Dead," The Accursed Vampire by Madeline McGrane (cute middle grade graphic novel about a kid vampire).
5. House of Hunger by Alexis Henderson. I read this recently and it fulfilled me need for fucked-up gothic lesbian vampires PERFECTLY. Very atmospheric and claustrophobic and intense and the central relationship between the protagonist and the vampire countess she serves is just *chef’s kiss* in its spiral of lust and obsession.
4. The Lost Boys (1987). This movie is a cinematic masterpiece do NOT @ me. Top-notch soundtrack, amazing vampire deaths, more 80s fashion than you can shake a stick at, a vampire motorcycle gang…what else do you need?
3. A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson. It’s deliciously gothic! It’s queer! It’s an emotionally intense exploration of abuse and survival! It’s epistolary! Great novella.
3. What We Do in the Shadows (TV show). I do enjoy tragic, gothic vampires for the most part, but I also really enjoy vampire comedy. I watch this with my mom and sister when we’re all home together at the same time and it routinely makes us laugh until we cry. (I’m not caught up on the most recent season, though.)
2. AMC's Interview With the Vampire. I mean this one is pretty obvious if you have at all glanced in my blog's direction the last few weeks? I’m unfamiliar with the novel or the movie, but this TV show has kind of devoured my brain. I love unreliable narrators! I love tragic father-daughter relationships! I love gothic horror! I love historical fiction set during the Jazz Age! I love the performances of the three main actors! I
1. The vampire ARG that I played during fall 2020. Okay, listen, this one is probably a surprise because I don't think I've ever mentioned it on this blog, but this is what got me into vampires! It was a really elaborate ARG (alternate reality game, like an interactive puzzle game your act out where there are characters played by real people you interact with). I played through my college during the depths of the pandemic, conducted largely through Zoom and Discord (and a few socially distanced outdoor meetings), but this is what really opened my eyes to what I enjoy about vampires. Prior to that, I feel like my main experience of vampire media had been…uh…watching half of Twilight, which did not awaken a vampiric fervor in my heart. But the vampires in this ARG appealed to me a lot because 1) there was really more of an exploration of the moral quandary of being a vampire than I’d encountered before and 2) there were dramatic romances between vampires instead of star-crossed human-vampire romances. Because the world-building was constructed as part of a game, there were different factions of vampires you could align yourself with that had different attitudes towards what it meant to live forever and to feed on people, plus all the characters were essentially part of a giant, dysfunctional polycule in which everyone had dated at some point and there were two exes-who-still-had-feelings-for-each-other on rival factions. It was also fall 2020 and the world felt apocalyptically bad, so everyone got incredibly invested in the lore, characters, and puzzles of this game to a degree that I don’t think can ever be matched. Anyway, that’s basically the root of my annual vampire phase.

Oli White's Secret
Everyone on tumblr knows that certain celebrities make anonymous tumblr accounts for personal use and to occasionally stalk their fans...and if you didn't know that already, you were about to find out.
You - Could my customers be any ruder?!?
You had finally finished your shift and gotten home from work and tumblr messaged the one person you were always looking forward to talking to. Working as a Barista in a coffee shop should be a job where you get to make people's days better, but you usually just ended up getting yelled at by uncaffeinated grumpy people.
Them (Oli) - Aww, I wish I was there to make your day better.
You - Don't worry, you always make my day better. Even though we live like 8 time zones apart.
Them (Oli) - Glad to hear it. I'd ask you about your day, but I'm assuming that wouldn't help your mood, lol.
You - Haha, you'd be correct. Though, it is Monday so I get to YouTube binge for a bit. I think Jack's new video has Oli and James in it and Oli has a video with Jack and Conor in it!! Double Oli videos today!
Them (Oli) -Go ahead, attend to your fangirling. I'm going to hop in the shower. I should be back by the time you're finished stalking British youtubers.
You - I feel so attacked. It's not like I'm you and actually live in the same city as them! Haha, I have to get my fix from afar!
Them (Oli) -Don't worry. I'm not judging your for your addiction. Enjoy your videos.
Oli didn't start his personal tumblr to stalk fans. The opposite, actually. He liked having a personal page where he followed blogs about writing and blogs about his favorite movies and bands. He wanted a space where he could be himself without actually being himself. He had found your tumblr because you often answered anon's asking for advice. It was more than half of what you posted. Oli had read through over 200 of the asks/replies on your page and had kind of instantly fallen in love with you. You were kind and smart and encouraging and so he messaged you telling you that he loved your page. You guys actually hit it off and now you talk almost every day.
You - I know I say this every time they're in a video together, but Oli and James have the cutest relationship. You - Like, he's going to make a great dad. You - I just know it. You - OMG hurry up! I'm out of videos!
Them (Oli)- You're obsessed.
You - Finally! You - And no I'm not! Youtube is my escape from my normal boring life.
Them (Oli) - I'm pretty sure you're obsessed.Them (Oli) - Plus, you aren't boring. Talking to you is the highlight of my day.
You - Actually, you are too. You - I'm so used to having people come to me for advice that I didn't really have anyone to go to before I met you.
Them (Oli) - Well I'm honored. I can only hope that my advice is half as good as yours.
Like most nights, you talked for about an hour. It was getting quite late in London, but Oli usually stayed up to talk. It had been almost a year since you guys became such close friends, but it had been almost 4 months since you had told him about your obsession with British youtuber Oli White and he had figured out that he now had a huge secret.
Them (Oli) - I think I'm going to fall asleep soon, love. I have to get up early tomorrow.
You - Of course, sorry I kept you up so late. You - OMG I almost forgot! I won tickets to Summer in The City and I think I have enough miles built up to buy a flight! You - Are you going??
Oli sat on his bed completely speechless. What was he going to do? He would have to lie and say he couldn't go or fess up and tell you that he was, in fact, the person you were hoping to meet.
Them (Oli) - I'm pretty sure I'm going.
You - You mean we might actually get to meet!?
Deciding he couldn't lie, he vowed to find a way to tell you soon.
Them (Oli) - Yes! I can't wait, actually. I hope I don't disappoint you. It's always weird meeting people you've never actually seen in person.
You - There's no way I'll be disappointed. I can't wait. Now get some sleep, buddy. <3 Talk to you tomorrow!
Them (Oli) - <3 Later, love.
It was worth the money, even if your miles didn't cover your plane ticket. You decided to book your flight and hotel room tonight. Confirming that both were good to go, you clicked back over to tumblr.
*Tumblr post* SUMMER IN THE CITY
Hey people, Y/n here! I have good news! *insert drum roll* I won tickets to Summer in The City! I cannot wait to visit London and meet a few youtubers. I know a few of you guys are going too, so make sure to message me so we can meet up! In case you guys are going to be there and want to find me, I'm adding a picture to the bottom of this post :) Don't judge me for my lack of make-up, I got home from work and got as comfy as possible. *post end*
Oli woke up the next morning and like most people, immediately checked social media. Nothing caught his attention until he opened tumblr and saw that you had actually posted a picture of yourself. Something you had never done before. And he couldn't believe the completely anonymous person he had fallen in love with was so beautiful. He was both excited and terrified at the same time. How was he going to tell you who he actually was?
He decided to send you an anonymous ask, asking for advice. You were who he went to for advice, so why not?
He waited all day for your response, checking his phone whenever he could get a second.
Anon : Hello, lovely. I am in a bit of a predicament. I am in love. I know the person I love at least likes me because she's told me that she does. I know, I know...what a problem to have. Here's the thing...She doesn't know I'm actually me. We met online, but I'm afraid that if she finds out that I've hidden this from her...Well I'm afraid she'll be mad and that she won't forgive me. I don't know what to do. Being able to actually be with her is worth the risk that she'll be mad, but thinking about losing her friendship because I messed up is killing me. This probably didn't make any sense. Hope you can help.
You had read this over and over. Words of encouragement usually came to you with no effort, but this one had you stuck.
You : Dear anon, This one is quite a doozy, isnt it?I always respond from the heart, so this will be no different. If I were you, I would prepare for them to be upset. Trust is a big deal and I think it would be totally understandable for them to be upset. On the other hand, if you already know they like you, then take the risk. Love is worth the risk. I'm sorry I haven't been much help. I wish you all the best. <3
Oli sat there reading your response over and over again. He was out to lunch with Joe and it was obvious he was distracted.
"Mate, what has you so upset?" Joe asked, concerned for his friend.
"It's nothing. " Oli replied, putting his phone down. "Gotta love girl problems."
"Oi, you've got girl problems? Share, buddy." Joe teased Oli.
Oli hesitated. "No, it's fine." He tried to act normal hoping Joe would stop asking, but when he looked up he was met with Joe's stare and raised eyebrows. "Fine. Dammit. I've been talking to a girl online but she doesn't know she's talking to me. We've been friends on tumblr for a year and I know that she likes Oli, she just doesnt know Oli is me. I'm pathetic and I messed up and now she's coming to SITC and she wants to meet me, but she also wants to meet Oli and I don't know what to do. I'm going to lose a great friend and miss out on love all in one fell swoop." Oli let his head fall.
"Damn." was all Joe said.
"Really? That's all you have to offer?" Oli asked, annoyed. "I bloody spill my guts and I get a 'damn.'"
"Hold on, you Randy. I'm just taking it all in. Don't lose your trousers." Joe reassured Oli. "What do you plan on doing?"
"I have to tell her. I just don't know if I do it online or when she's here." He replied.
"Mate, if you spring this on her when she's here she's going to flip. You have to tell her Asap. Give her time to process." Joe urged.
"I know, I know. I'll catch you later, buddy. I've got to try to fix this." Oli started walking back to his flat.
He sat there for over an hour trying to perfect his message.
Them (Oli) - I'm going to start this message with the words I love you and I'm sorry. I feel like I've broken your trust and I will do anything to make it right. My name is Oli White, I have a little brother named James, I have a few youtube channels, and I started this tumblr account to get away from being Oli White. I met you here on tumblr and I couldn't have been happier. It wasn't until a few months ago that I even knew you knew who Oli White was. I should have fessed up right then and there, but I was afraid I'd lose you as a friend and I didn't want to risk it. I don't even know how to start making this up to you. I want you to come to Summer in The City and I want to meet you because you've become one of my best friends and I'm pretty sure I've fallen completely in love with you. Please, please believe that I never meant to deceive you. I really hope you still come.
You sat staring at your computer screen, not knowing what to believe. If your friend was pranking you and actually thought this was funny, they weren't who you thought they were. If this really was Oli White and he let you fangirl to him about himself, you didn't know if you could ever face him. You didn't know if you were more angry or embarrassed.
You were leaving for SITC in two days and decided not to reply to the message at all. He knew what you looked like and he knew your name. If Oli or whoever you had become friends with wanted to talk to you, they could do it in person.
Oli was over at Joe's house helping him prepare for SITC and Joe could tell that he was still moping around. "Mate, she still hasn't replied?" He asked in a sympathetic voice.
"Nope. Not a single message. The only posts on her page are her responses to anons. She even deleted the one I sent. I really hope she's still coming. I have to be able to make it up to her." Oli replied.
"If she doesn't show up at your meet and greet, you should maybe plan a little speech or something for your panel. I've read some of the messages. She's either embarrassed or she doesn't believe you." Joe said.
"Yeah, I guess. I just wish I had told her right away." Oli sounded defeated.
You had stayed off of tumblr, for the most part, but you had noticed that Oli had tweeted multiple tweets sounding bummed out.*Why does your heart make you do stupid things?**Hey guys, no new video today. I'll make sure to post something soon.**Does anyone really want me to vlog SITC?* He just sounded very....not Oli. You wondered if it really was him that you had been talking to. Were you the reason Oli was in a funk?
Having just checked into your hotel, you pulled up your tumblr posting an update to your followers.
*TUMBLR POST* I'M HERE!
Hey guys, I MADE IT!!!
I'm heading straight out to mingle with everyone, so if anyone wants to meet up I'll be wearing the below outfit. Don't be shy! I can't wait to make friends. *END POST*
Oli saw your post and cheered, scaring everyone in the room with him. "YES! SHE CAME!"
"That's what she said." Jack joked, giving Oli a weird look.
"Wait, her? Like, HER her?" Joe asked.
"Indeed. Maybe I can win her back. " Oli replied, smiling for the first time in a few days.
You didn't go to Oli White's meet and greet. You couldn't get over being embarrassed every time you thought about everything you had messaged your online friend. You decided you could still hide in the audience for his panel, though.
"Everybody welcome Oli White to the stage!" the host announced.
"Hey guys! It's nice to see you all." Oli grabbed a mic and spoke, sitting down on the couch on stage.
"And we're glad to see you, Oli. How are you?" The host kept the interview going, occasionally bringing other youtubers on stage for games and challenges.
His interview was coming to an end and you felt really dumb. Oli seemed fine. Whoever you had been talking to online must have pranked you. It obviously wasn't Oli. You were even more upset that you had skipped his meet and greet.
"Anything else you want to add before we say goodbye?" The host asked Oli.
Oli's whole demeanor changed. He all of a sudden looked very nervous. He cleared his throat and spoke. "Actually, yes. I, umm. I have a confession."
"Oooh, spill." the host encouraged.
Oli stood and adjusted his clothes nervously. "Last year I met a wonderful person online. They were smart and witty and funny and kind and, um...Oh, god. I'm shaking. They basically became one of my best friends. I never told them who I was until about a week ago and I know that she's upset that I kind of lied. I didn't mean to be dishonest, I just didn't know how to tell her. I know that she's here this weekend and I hope that she's here in this room. Y/n, are you here?" the audience audibly gasped and started looking around for someone to stand up or reply.
You were shocked. You couldn't process what was happening. With eyes wide and your hand over your mouth, you slowly rose to your feet. Everyone's eyes were on you, when you heard the host speak.
"Is that your girl?" The host asked Oli.
Oli had a huge grin on his face. "That's her. Can you come up here?" Oli asked. "Please?"
Dropping your bag in your seat, you made your way to the stage. Oli speaking as you walked.
"This beautiful girl has let me vent and complain and obsess and never once did she make me feel bad about it. She always encouraged me and was patient with me." You finally reached the stage and he grabbed your hand and faced you. "She is perfect and I pray to God she forgives me." Oli put the mic back in the mic stand so you two could speak without the audience hearing you.
"Please tell me I can make it up to you?" Oli begged.
"You silly boy. Why didn't you just tell me it was you?" you had tears trying to escape your eyes, but you also had a big smile on your face.
"I don't know, love. I was scared and I messed up. Do I get another chance?" he asked, wiping away a few tears that had made their way down your cheek.
"I think I could give you another chance." you laughed, remembering you were on stage in front of a few thousand people.
"Don't pay them any mind, love. One more question?" Oli asked, looking straight into your eyes.
"Only one, and then we can stop being awkward in front of strangers." you teased. "Can I kiss you?" he placed his hand on your cheek, his cheeks turning bright red.
"I think that would be okay." you replied.
The whole audience stayed silent, gasping as Oli leaned in and captured your lips. That is, until Joe Sugg and the boys cheered from the back of the room "Yeah, Oli! Woooo!" and then the entire room joined in cheering.
"I've never had a panel end quite like that." The host added, joining in on the cheering.
You and Oli made your way back stage. "I'm so glad you showed up." Oli told you.
"Me too." you replied, leaning up to kiss Oli again.
You couldn't wait to log back into your tumblr and tell the story of your SITC adventure.

Do y’all remember that one movie where like,,,,,
There’s this group of friggin’ babies and they all look like dumb little bratz babies, but they have super powers and they all unite to save people from stuff like a bus falling off a friggin’ cliff or some crap, you guys remember that?
And then the main villain is like this alien who pretends to be a freaky lookin’ little baby and he just so happens to try and I think rule the world?
Then when he like gets caught by one of them he like kidnaps some of them in his alien space ship, that I think was invisible before, and people like freaked the hell out when they discovered it’s existence, or it was landing there and when it did, the people either freak out or just didn’t really care
And these group of what 1-3 year olds with super powers have to stop him
But like, with this weird looking key, he either gets rid of their super powers, absorbs their powers, or just kind of does nothing to them.
I forgot what happened after that but I used to be obsessed with this movie, and never remembered the title.
I used to watch this back in what? 2013,,, 2015????
Looked like a 2000’s film and had the bratz film’s style/feel. The animation was also pretty low quality.
I’ve had this memory stuck, and I want to desperately relive it. Does anyone know or remember the name of it?
I have literally stayed up all night trying to find it.
Edit: I know this sounds super random but you don’t know how important this film is to me it brings so many memories also, it was on Netflix at the time. So,,, if that helps lemme know.
Update:
Lol nvm found it on YouTube. Gosh that memory is so vivid, anyway,,, yeah. Now I’m going to spend my entire week watching it over and over again until I forget my childhood either because of this movie or because I haven’t seen a therapist in the last I forgot how many months and barely made it this year lmao
Is my childhood shows/obsession the only things keeping me going? Besides my handful of friends, yes! Did this movie hit different? Oh gosh no, it’s god awful. Did that stop me from watching it like I was new to the world again? Nope. Any regrets? Like 2 regrets, other than that,,,,, was how I remembered it, was like I remembered it…. Mostly.
