The first chapter of my novella-length Dylan/Ryan slow burn paranormal romance piece is up! It starts out heavy but I keep lots of comedic elements going throughout and it will be real fluffy later. All the counselors will eventually get at least one chapter with plenty of Kaitlyn alongside the boys.
Tumblr media
Summary: When Dylan Lenivy died, he hadn’t expected to be met with Heaven or Hell—he’d never really believed in all that—or Elysium or Valhalla or any of those pretty-sounding immortal afterworlds. He liked the idea of reincarnation, but wasn’t sure he bought into that entirely either. What he had expected, however, was to catch a fucking break. In his final excruciating moments, especially, Dylan was kind of looking forward to oblivion—to sinking into the waters of the river Lethe, forgetting about everything that came before, and having that eternal rest people liked to talk about. But for Dylan, nothing’s ever quite so simple. What doesn’t kill you might make you stronger, if the camp’s oft-repeated motto can be believed, but what if what does kill you doesn’t quite manage to make you dead? Not, y’know, dead-dead, anyway.

"Cooking Skills + Cooking Class"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With a lot of time on his hands and the bounty of the forest at his doorstep, it shouldn't be any surprise to anyone that Muriel knows his way around a skillet. He's not a five star Michielin chef, and he prefers simple meals over complex ones, but he's not a bad cook by any means.
Really, he prefers to make food that can last him a while. When he gets his hands on some good meat, whether through hunting or Inanna bringing him something, he'll set aside parts of it to dry out into jerky and use the rest in a stew.
Toss in some mushrooms, wild onion, and other forageable ingredients and you have something hearty that doesn't let anything to waste.
And of course, eggs. His neighbors are kind enough to let him use their eggs for breakfast in exchange for some extra feed, or corn if he can afford it.
He doesn't have the energy to cook often though. So it's not until you've moved in with him that you find this out about him; and it's a very pleasant surprise. Muriel starts to cook a little more often until it becomes a weekly occurrence; you even begin going out with him every Sunday morning to forage, and if you have the stomach for it he's willing to teach you how to hunt.
... of course, as nice at it is, stew and jerky can get a little old sometimes. You both begin fishing, trying out different ways to cook the ingredients you hunt and forage for.
One evening, you try your hand at making some bread. Muriel is there with you, helping you knead the dough. The consistency seems off but you don't think much of it until you put it in the little oven he built for you both... and it doesn't exactly turn out well. (Still, it was a wonderful way to spend time together.)
You end up asking Portia for some advice; she insists on coming back to the hut with you with some supplies to teach you both yourself.
It ends up working out well. There's a small mishap with the flour; all three of you are COVERED in it, and for the first time you hear Muriel break out into loud, deep-bellied laughter.
The bread you end up baking isn't perfect, but it's edible and tastes fine. Like the first attempt, it's more about the time you spent together. (And honestly, he and Portia are starting to become friends. An extrovert adopting an introvert sort of situation?)

Do you Killua is gonna end up built like his mom or dad? Like which body type do you think he'll possess when he's older?
I personally think he'll end up lean but muscular. Not big and bulky like Silva (this wouldn't befit his speedy fighting style nor his general character aesthetic/body structure IMHO), but maybe not quite as long-limbed as Illumi, who seems to take after Kikyo strongly. Killua weighing less than Gon even though he's a bit taller points towards this conclusion as well. Considering what we've seen of his body type in the manga, I think lean but muscular is a reasonable guess:
Tumblr media
I assume this is likely Togashi's preference as well--if you look at his characters overall, and especially his protagonists, lean but muscular is a body type that comes up frequently, so I tend to think both Gon and Killua will end up in that category ultimately.
A bit of a digression because you only asked about Killua, but I don't think Gon-san is an accurate representation of what Gon will look like as an adult. That's a version of him with artificially maxed stats across the board, which isn't attainable under regular conditions, and that design is clearly not intended to look natural/normal.
This is one of my personal favorite interpretations of Gon and Killua as adults!
I do think how people imagine them as adults is, at this point, a matter of subjective preference, though, so if you picture them differently that's fine! It's hard to say if Togashi will ever give us canon versions of them as adults, so for now at least it's up to everyone's imaginations.
Thanks for asking!

The Conductor's Popper
The Conductor's Popper is a disciplinary railway tool used from the early 1830s to the early 1940s before being banned in 1941 as it was considered abusive and too harsh towards sentient machinery.
Tumblr media
This whip was made in Tywyn, Wales, by railway engineer, Max Macintyre in 1838 as a way to deal with unruly and undisciplined sentient railway vehicles. The whip itself was quite different from standard whips, as instead of a cracking noise, it made popping sounds when used, hence the "Popper" bit in the name. The tool was mostly at use in Wales and was legal to use on engines at the time, though, it found most use when dealing with narrow guage engines.
The whip when in use has enough force to create a 'whip mark' shaped dent in steam engines. Light enough to not fully cut through iron, but was ensured to be strong enough to leave a, as crews heard their engines describe it, "a horrible stinging pain". It started drawing out more concern as time went on, with people debating whether or not it was too cruel or a good disciplinary tool.
A certain railway that once used this type of discipline was the Talyllyn, who used the tool on No 1 and No 2 back in 1865 to 1938. Unlike the rest of the UK, Poppers weren't used on Sodor. As quoted from the NWR Director, Richard Topham Hatt;
"I'm never getting a single one of those cheapskate contraptions to use on my engines. I aim to treat my engines fairly and with respect, not like slaves. If an engine steps out of line, I reprimand them verbally, not physically, I'll even keep them in the shed as punishment if it depends. If I see a single man with a Popper, he'll be sacked the moment I find out!"
This was the same for the Talyllyn's counterpart, the Skarloey Railway.
On the Talyllyn, the engines did not have faces, and in that case were considered blind. Talyllyn and Dolgoch's translators helped them describe what their experiences were like with Poppers. It is up to you to decide if they are truly disciplinary or abusive:
Talyllyn; "When me and Dolly were still young and fresh, the manager and the workers were skittish and unsettled by us. They were used to seeing engines with faces. But unfortunately, me and my sister, along with our friends were cursed by Lady and Proteus alike..."
Dolgoch; "...when an engine, steam or diesel, is built, a face usually appears on their smokebox doors or radiators. For some reason, our faces never appeared, rendering us nearly completely blind and unable to speak through words. We were discriminated by workers, and treated like soulless beings, while our twins were given so much adoration and attention. It made me and Tally a bit jealous, if I must be honest..."
Talyllyn; "...While Sir Hayden Brown was owner of our railway, Mr Max handled operations and observed us. He had one of those nasty whips on him. He'd constantly whip us, or make us hear that popping noise as a warning. Though, he was more short tempered, and while nobody was around, would intimidate or hit me with the Popper. I've got 89 welding marks altogether, some on my boiler and buffers, and a couple on my funnel. Most of them were afflicted on me when I was still a 'bucking bronco'...thankfully, the overhauls and liveries made them fade a bit... most of those marks would just...reappear, even if I got a new, fresh part put on me...I've gotten used to it, it's fine...."
Dolgoch; "...I've got 56 welding marks, a few on my boiler, a few on my buffers and a few near my cab windows. Much like Tally's, they've faded but they're somehow still there. Sometimes, I wish our lives starting out was more like Skarloey and Rheneas's. At least they didn't get whipped if they were being too slow with slate or misbehaving...though, I wouldn't wish our experiences upon them...even despite our sentiments. Thankfully, the Poppers were made illegal by the time Sir Hayden and Edward Thomas arrived...I would dread the thought of young engines having to face discipline like that"
What do you think? Was it right to ban this tool?
(Decided to do a little bit of lore on the ttte version of the Talyllyn railway considering its basically the irl SKR and on a banned weapon used)

a concept, vampire batfamily, but out of sheer spite batman made himself like marceline adventure time where he just drinks the red color from stuff. and all the kids do it too.
except jason starts drinking blood after coming back, and dami was raised as a blood consumer just to be retrained into eating colors
this is purely because it popped into my head and I thought the idea would have comedy potential.
baby tim goes up to the bats all "I know what you are" and expects to get bit once he sees the vamp fangs, only to watch bruce slurp down some food dye from a juice box like it's an energy drink. bruce never actually turns him until after he comes back fully trained and acts as robin for a few months. he was scared to turn anyone else after jason.
"ah man, I'm starving, this stakeout is taking way too long." *chomps down on robin uniform as a snack*
jason eventually returns to drinking colors, but when he's hangry and some drug lord is practically asking for it, he gets a good meal out of his busts. a little indulgence, he deserves it.
bruce's "slippery slope" mentality also works, bc he knows that if he ever has his first taste of blood, his first kill, he'll be insatiable and won't be able to stop. he's fighting his urges daily.
duke is simply built different, and his light powers give him the ability to be in the sun without some kind of protection. everyone else is jealous. poor guy found it out the hard way, though, after he was turned. steph still holds the video of him shrieking and hissing at the sun before realizing he was perfectly fine as blackmail.

First of all, I wanted to say how much I love your writing! Every time I see that you posted something its easily one of the highlights of my day!
If I may, could I maybe ask how would the Papas handle someone who suffers from chronic pain, especially back pain? If you dont want to answer thats ofc fine too!! Thank you :)
Thank you so much!! I'm very happy to hear I can brighten someone's day with my work <3
Here you go, please enjoy!
sfw, hurt/comfort, fluff, disclaimer: writing with my own experience with chronic pain, other's experiences may be different.
Primo
This old man knows exactly how it feels to have aches and pains-- though your afflictions are not the same, he does understand. The two of you help each other on your bad days, it's very sweet. If it's a rough day for you, he will help you with anything you have trouble with using your mobility. If your back pain makes it hard to be up, he'll bring everything to you. Vice versa when he's having a bad day, you'll be the one to assist him (and if it's so bad that he can't tend to the garden that day, you'll go do it for him for his peace of mind).
If you're both having a bad day? It's a day in bed and you take your medication together with fancy little wine glasses (filled with water only-- don't mix meds with alcohol). He'll break out your matching heating pads and put your favorite show on the TV in your bedroom. Primo calls one of his brothers to make sure the garden is tended to for the day.
If you have wrist pain and have trouble opening things, well probably don't ask Primo because peepaw's strength ain't too much better. Both of you go begging to Secondo to open your jars and if it's a cheat day and you're using canned pasta sauce (which Primo only accepts when making it from scratch is too much for the two of you), you'll go to one of the ghouls to open it instead least Secondo bites your heads off.
TLDR your entire relationship is built on love and understanding and helping each other when the occasion arises. You never judge each other for what you can do one day and can't do the next. Support, encouragement, and communication are very important to the two of you.
Secondo
Secondo is a menace with his credit card. He will buy you everything and anything that could and can help your chronic pain. He's not the best at emotional comfort but he tries to support you and care for you in the ways he knows how to. And that includes buying you countless muscle rubs, heating pads and cushions, bath soaks and soaps, massage guns, braces and wraps, so many rolls of athletic tape, and anything else that may help.
Of course it's way more than you need but he will insist that he is stocking you up just in case you need it someday. You almost feel like one of those coupon moms that buy things in bulk.
Very good with his hands and an expert at kneading the tension from your body. Even if your chronic pain doesn't flair every day, he'll make it a routine to give you a massage every night before bed.
Speaking of routines, he'll run you a hot bath every night (unless you're not feeling like it) and add epsom salt plus the essential oils he got from Primo that are supposed to help your muscles relax. He'll make sure you get a good soak in and slowly wash your hair for you, lathering expensive shampoo in your hair and massaging your scalp.
Once you're all clean and ready for bed, he'll give you your massage while you doze in bed. If you have a cream that helps relieve muscle pain or something similar, he'll often use that while he rubs your back or anywhere needed. You're often fast asleep by the time he's done and he'll give you a good night forehead kiss before sliding into bed to join you.
Terzo
My favorite HC for Terzo is that his love language is acts of service. Physically showing you that he loves you, cares about you. It ties into the fact that these are all things he wishes someone would love him enough to do too (and you do).
He knows cooking is strenuous for you on bad pain days; that's why he's always willing to drop everything to make you a decent meal. He'll bring it to you no matter where you are, and even on days that you might be able to cook he'll want to do it for you anyways. He pulls out his most beloved recipes for you and makes your favorites.
Sometimes you'll sit in the kitchen with a heated blanket and some pillows that Terzo has brought in to help you be comfier, just to keep him company. As long as your pain is bearable enough to move to the kitchen, you try to be there just as much as he does for you. You can see from the expression on his face the first time you drag your achey body from your room to the kitchen that he's starstruck. It means a lot to him when you take the time to be there with him. Of course, he fusses over you to make sure you're not in pain and not pushing yourself by moving all the way there. He will smother you in love and care.
He may be very talented with his fingers (wink wink) but this man has no idea how to give a good massage; in fact he's often too afraid that he will hurt you by pushing or pressing on you too hard. But he does his best! He watches some youtube tutorials and looks up how-to's online. Be patient with him and he will slowly become an expert at it. He's very proud of himself the first time you absolutely melt under his hands, the pain easing just a little. Of course it won't fix everything but in the moment it feels so nice.
Copia
He's very worried at first; he doesn't know about the chronic pain and at the beginning he's worried that something is very very wrong and tries to urge you to see a doctor (or two or three because your man is a worryrat).
You soothe him and reassure him that nothing serious is wrong-- whatever issue you have that is causing your chronic pain is either already taken care of or being addressed. There's nothing you can do about it right now.
Does anything he can to help alleviate your pain. Helps massage your back or wrist or where ever you may need it. He'll buy heating pads for you and those cute little stuffed animals that have a pouch for a heating pack (or that you microwave to heat up).
Gets sad sometimes especially when he's done everything he can and the only thing he can't do is directly take the pain way (by the unholy lord does he wish he could though).
Sometimes you catch him looking distraught when you're laying in bed or having trouble with something and you call him over to reassure him that you're okay. Sure you're hurting, but you don't want your loved ones around you to hurt too, not when they don't need to.
He loves you so much, does anything he can to help. Sometimes you're afraid of asking for too much or that he'll get tired of taking care of you but he never does and he will remind you every day that he loves you and loves taking care of you because he wants you happy and safe. There is no such thing as asking for too much for him.

Part 2 baybeeeee. Continuation of this fic - aka what if Wyll's a masochist and desperate for Astarion's teeth in him actually?? What if I wrote it from Astarion's POV this time. What if this is careening out of control and chapter three is imminent. Ahahaha wouldn't that be nuts how's the weather
He spends some time considering Wyll.
Wyll, who is looking especially fine tonight. Sitting by the fire, rich umber skin painted sunset colors by the flames - there are shadows in his mismatched eyes, soft and used to smiling despite their twice-over otherworldly nature. His horns cast strange and eerie shadows on the ground; his body is well-built and adorned with scars that demonstrate a life of remarkably reckless service to others.
How he yet lives is a mystery for the ages, honestly.
Wyll, it turns out - in addition to spending his idle hours plotting ways to rescue ever more kittens from trees - spends rather a lot of time thinking about Astarion's mouth. More than the vampire might've guessed, and he does like to think his mouth has been the inspiration for its share of lurid fantasies, some more colorful than others -
An interesting development.
Not for the first time Astarion thanks their funny little parasites for continually opening new doors for him as they do, rife with unexpected gifts. What strange fortune! He might be tempted to kiss the ground and thank the gods for this little development had they not already betrayed his faith a thousand times over. No, that ship has long sailed.
He should be thanking the mindflayers instead, at least until such a time as they all start sprouting tentacles. He would have remained ignorant (and ignorant of his ignorance) without them. How long has Wyll been sitting on this fantasy, stewing in it? The Blade of Frontiers would've never openly admitted to wanting Astarion's fangs in him, would he. Could he?
Perhaps he couldn't, he thinks. Perhaps it's a step too far into the realm of the unthinkable for even the renowned Blade.
But perhaps not so unthinkable for Wyll.
First thing's first. Damage control. If any good is to come of this - and there is, he knows, much good that can come of this - he can't risk scaring the other man off.
He'll perhaps have to ease Wyll into the idea that - sometimes - he can have the things he wants.
Really, it's too perfect. A willing donor - and more than that, an eager donor. Not an animal, nor an enemy he has to subdue. He rolls the idea around in his head, admiring it like a pretty bauble: no need to be particularly stealthy or strong, in fact he needs only exercise restraint. No more stinking wildlife getting stuck in his teeth or fevered grappling with someone who just won't die (unless, perhaps, the illusion of the latter is something that stirs Wyll's blood).
Fresh food delivered right to his doorstep.
He's salivating just thinking about it. Moving up in the world, he thinks, giddy with excitement and making a half-baked and entirely doomed effort at not getting ahead of himself. Really, it was futile from the beginning - he cannot look this gift horse in the mouth. And it is a gift, this -
Willingness. Willingess which could be a beast entirely unlike itself, something Astarion knew all too well. It disguised itself, at times, as begrudging tolerance. Reluctant acceptance. The acknowledging of an unfortunate necessity, like doing taxes or digging latrines.
Wanting, though - wanting was different. Wyll craved it, he knew now - felt it in his bones, in the borrowed blood sitting sluggishly in his veins. Their tadpoles ensured that there were few secrets between them when they got to wriggling: he remembers the adrenaline high of battle, putting his blades to work again and again, and his reward when all but one of their enemies was felled: the last one standing, his prey, wrenched from its ill-considered task and succumbing in short order to the bite. A particularly satisfying kill. That lowly piss-pot had nearly taken Wyll's life - intolerable for reasons he does not care to examine just now, but certainly in part because Wyll is their de facto leader and the only one keeping this merry band of miscreants in line. The man's weapon had managed to make contact with Wyll's flesh, breaking the skin despite Astarion's urgent intervention - a superficial wound, spilling precious few drops of his blood. The Blade had certainly sustained worse injuries, shed far more blood in the name of the Frontiers.
Still. He took great delight in liberating all of the slaver's blood from his body in retaliation.
In the moment, he'd been entirely too focused on feeding and keeping his prey from moving overmuch - not that it would've done him any good at that range. Struggling as he was, if he managed to pull free his artery would be wrenched and split on Astarion's fangs, quite defeating the purpose of escape and robbing him of his meal besides. But it was a good meal despite having to restrain it, and his eyes had slipped shut in hapless pleasure, drinking heartily and unselfconsciously -
It was only when he heard a soft sound, not from the throat in his jaws as expected - the quiet, final noises so common to those desperately clinging to life and finding the cord severed - but from before him that Astarion opens his eyes and finds - Wyll, in the shadow of his kill, looking at him like the second coming of Strahd. Only -
His head had throbbed then, eyes widening in surprise and - quickly - comprehension. He had felt Wyll's deep-seated want curl around him with every enthusiastic gulp: the wet sounds of Astarion's industry a ballast in Wyll's brain, every nerve in his body attuned to that sound and the motions of his throat as he swallowed hungrily, devouring his victim. Astarion had moaned involuntarily at that, hot blood in his mouth made impossibly hotter by the way Wyll's good eye remained entirely focused on him. Equal parts horror and fascination - and no small amount of arousal, if his blown out pupil was any indication - were evident in his expression.
Astarion had an absurd thought, then: feeling rather like a wayward cat that's brought the mangled remains of a dead mouse to his patriar's door, ever indulgent: Here. I saw this and thought of you.
He would not have guessed Wyll's interest, not in this - and not for lack of interest in the man or his proclivities (which Astarion found himself mulling over considerably more often than he ought to). It's simply that, in his experience, monster hunters who desire their quarry carnally are also often hopelessly repressed and prone to cultivating deeply fucked up ideas about who qualifies as person and who doesn't, and whether or not that justifies whatever they intend to do to them in the moment.
Wyll isn't like that.
Repressed... maybe. It's hard to say. But never cruel. He travels alongside a vampire spawn, a Sharran cultist and a githyanki space pirate like it's a perfectly ordinary thing to do, and that was before he sprouted horns and an infernal eye. Wyll apparently saw in Astarion's most bestial features and abilities something… desirable, something to make him ache sweetly, something that no one else in camp could provide, and Astarion thrilled at the knowledge. To be wanted for the whole of what you are? It was novel. It was magnificent.
And Wyll does like him, insofar as he can tell. As a person. And isn't that an oddity! He trusts Astarion. With his life even. At the very least he certainly wasn't about to let some other vampire bite him. His survival instincts were only broken some of the time.
He treats Astarion like a man first and a monster second, not a condemnation but a practical reality: his vampirism merely a facet of his life, one that differentiates himself from others, not unlike Karlach's persnickety engine or Gale's yawning arcane hunger.
And it is this, above all else, that solidifies his decision.
Wyll is still by the fire, looking appallingly resigned to his fate when Astarion approaches him (vicious mockery is perhaps what the man anticipates, not sudden death at the hands of a ravenous vampire - what Astarion wouldn't give for such priorities!), and… increasingly nervous, and no, that won't do at all. He intercepts his path, casual, sensing a man foolishly about to talk himself out of a perfectly reasonable course of action.
"You know, dear," he says, keeping his tone as light as he can manage. Wyll isn't glass-fragile but it won't do to come on too strong, not after their unexpected meeting of the minds (as delicious as it had been). No matter how much his fangs ache in his gums, he's got to focus. He thinks about Wyll's strong pulse - in all honesty, can think of little else -
Vitality. The depth and breadth of life.
Wyll smells awfully nice.
"This could be quite fortuitous for you and I," he motions, stopping just short of being in Wyll's personal space. Wyll ponies up, sensing there's no tabling this conversation now.
"It isn't-" he starts, stops. Starts again. "I don't want you to think that's why." Piffle. The hell it's not, Astarion thinks meanly but doesn't say. His eyes narrow. Wyll's too busy contemplating his navel to notice, eyes downcast in what could have been bashfulness but which Astarion recognizes as closer kin to contriteness. For the wrong thing, of course: he feels himself an imposition when he is an oasis.
Exhausting.
"And whyever not?" he ventures, feeling rather more impatient than he lets on. He checks himself internally. He will never get far by rushing Wyll. Knows this. It is a tremulous peace they have, and too easily disrupted by frivolous desire if he's not careful and mild in his coaxing.
It's just that he's been daydreaming about his blood for weeks, to say nothing of the man who harbors it. He's salivating, and Wyll is right there, and he wants it -
More hesitation.
"I want to help you." Not an untruth, he concedes. There is no situation in which Wyll isn't volunteering to help, but it's hardly the whole of it and if he can't bring himself to say it, well. Astarion will just have to help him along.
"You want it," he says, because this is no time for ambiguity. There are things he must be certain of, that they must be certain of. Astarion again considers the difference between willing and wanting, the various shapes and shades of them. Nods absently to himself, surer now of his course. Wyll -
Wyll…
"Yes," he manages. He's getting in his head again, Astarion can tell - raw memories flit through his mind, foreign remembrances that feel like his own as they pour through the sieve of their psychic connection: Wyll standing before his father, one incident unto the next, doubt and shame and the ghost of resentment a maelstrom of miserable distraction.
Astarion shoots him a look. Soon Wyll will need to learn something he internalized long ago: getting in one's own head means getting in one's own way. Wyll's father is a thousand leagues distant. Astarion is right here.
"What do you want from me, Astarion? Yes, it's tempting. I don't- it isn't a consideration I want you to place above your own needs. It doesn't matter. We can drop it."
How pointlessly noble, he wants to sneer. As if Astarion would ever. What he needs is to sink his teeth into Wyll, feel him squirm with want of it.
Fully intends to, if only Wyll can meet him halfway.
"Or we could not drop it," Astarion volunteers, making every effort to keep his voice neutral. He feels like a teakettle simmering too-hot on the stove. Ready to boil over at the slightest encouragement, seconds from screaming -
The night is long, and he listens to Wyll's heartbeat in the absence of his own. It's strong and sure and when Wyll finally steps forward, it's all he can do to disguise his mind numbing relief as mere playful indulgence as he purrs in his ear: "My dear, consider how we might take care of one another."
Knowing that a bite is all but guaranteed at this point means he can relax a little, and he softens his approach by inches, determined to enjoy himself. For Wyll to enjoy himself. It's not every day one gets to savor a homemade meal, after all. And with such handsome presentation!
Wyll may still need some... careful attention, in order to feel more comfortable and less out of his element than admitting his desire had evidently left him. Astarion tells himself that's why he slots himself easily and comfortably in Wyll's arms, as sturdy and warm as he imagined they'd be (not that he'd thought about it). When the younger man raises tentative arms to his waist - almost boyish in his hesitation, so unlike the easy confidence with which Wyll normally navigates the world - Astarion rewards him with a smile. He's doing so well. It's precious.
Wyll asks if it will hurt. Astarion assures him it will, how very nice that will be. Promises, promises. A shiver runs through his body, and Astarion catalogues that particular reaction away for later. For now, he seeks to drive out any foolish notions of guilt on Wyll's part - knows he must, if he intends for this to happen a second time.
And he does intend a repeat performance, if his companion's at all amenable. The idea of hot blood on tap - Wyll's blood on tap - Astarion bites his tongue to prevent himself from latching onto the exposed skin of Wyll's neck, soft where he's nosing against his jawline.
"Worry not, O Blade. I rather like that you like it. Do you think I'd prefer to be where I'm not wanted?" He allows his very real displeasure at the thought to color his tone. No harm in the truth, not in this. It's important for Wyll to know his desire is reciprocated, that his desire is itself desired, one into the other and on and on.
Astarion leads him to his tent.
-
How many times has he heard the battlecry? 'The Blade does not yield!'
Except when he does, it seems.
Wyll is laying in Astarion's tent - pretty as a painting, a light sheen of sweat on his brow and collarbone catching in the low lantern light fetchingly. He's eyeing the space, taking it in - Astarion's things, physical proof of his presence if the body beside him were not enough.
He looks young here, but not uncertain: he is reminded that Wyll has only lived a fraction of his years, will only ever live a fraction of his years. He's struck by the thought that the man before him is chillingly, hauntingly... mortal. Brief even in longevity, humans hardly have time to live before they're gone. Supposing his devil blood has not altered him in as yet unforeseen ways, Wyll's fate will be the same, and if he doesn't stop with the chronic heroics his life will be shorter still.
He won't, though.
That thought invites disquiet so Astarion dismisses it out of hand. Back to business.
He looks to Wyll, who meets his eyes with a kind of defiance, a resolve born of want. Determined to go through with it, for his own ends or Astarion's (but hopefully both). He tilts his neck back gracefully, and it's Astarion's turn to stare -
"How very considerate of you, darling," he says instead. Straddling Wyll's waist, he is determined to savor the moment despite the sharp spike of hunger that takes him then. He caresses Wyll's handsome face - brushes his full lips with passing fingers in his haste, decides that's an acceptable diversion before meandering purposefully downwards, stopping fully at his throat. Admiring that most pronounced vein in his neck - thrumming with life, impossibly fast and strong beneath his fingers, sweet-smelling even through the barrier of Wyll's flesh, another temptation.
Astarion's teeth ache. He has always had a sweet tooth.
Obscene, the way he waits for it. Wyll - is holding himself back from trembling, fingers alternately clenched and wiggling, as if he keeps noticing the tension and overcorrecting. The anticipation's ruining him, though he's doing a very good job of hiding it under an otherwise self-secure veneer. Apart from his hands he is very determinedly still, rigid in the way of someone wading into unfamiliar waters. Like a virgin on his wedding night, Astarion thinks with good-natured humor. He can see the restlessness in his body, even if unpracticed eyes might not - anticipation and arousal and a sort of fear that isn't - because Astarion is trusted, but Wyll knows better than most what devastation those fangs are capable of.
But then... that is surely part of the appeal, he concedes.
His hand moves reluctantly from Wyll's neck to land on his shoulder - the better to steady himself, and give Wyll proper leverage besides, should it become necessary. He squeezes once - a reassurance, and a question.
Through the fun little psychic link he shares with his comrades, he has seen a great many things, many of which aren't fun at all. He has seen flashes of Wyll's life, heated moments that brand themselves in his memory as surely as his own assortment of traumas. He has seen Ulder Ravengard banked by fire - disappointment and shame -
Wyll's father had called him a needy creature; but as far as Astarion can tell, Wyll has only ever needed to be needed. To be... essential. He has seen it through Wyll's two eyes, and then one; has tasted the bitterness of his tears in the wake of his exile from Baldur's Gate, when for lack of other choices he made himself, at last, essential to the Frontiers.
He catches Wyll's eye. Perhaps Wyll sees something there that Astarion is not yet ready to acknowledge - slips his warm hand over Astarion's cool one and meets his gaze without rancor or fear. Strong in his surrender and generous with his bounty.
Astarion feels pulled-apart, rent thin by gratitude and desire both, his hunger a thing that lives in his heart. He says "thank you," as if it were enough.
He leans in, and Wyll closes his eyes.

eating your art
seriously it’s so good
if you’d like can you tell me about your OCs? I love their outfits, they look very cute together
hi, thank you so much! i'd love to talk about mine and my friends ocs _(:△」∠)_
Tumblr media
yoco (fox mask) belongs to my friend, while izel (goggles) belongs to me! the two are in a relationship and they are overall very sweet. though, most of the information i can provide will be on izel! yoco is still being worked on lol
wave of text incoming!
---
at heart, izel is a charming and selfless person who wants nothing more than to share his happiness with the people around him.
izel can be described as a lot of things; energetic, blunt, clumsy, annoying, or even carefree. despite this variety of different traits, he always strives to be the best person he can be for others. he will always and only wish the best for other people, in hopes that they'll never have to go through what he has experienced all his life. though, this selflessness and sense of hope continuously leads him into unwanted situations, leaving him more scarred than before.
because of his view on trust being so broken, he forever stays stuck in a loop of trying to chase after people who leave him with greater sorrow in his heart; with yoco being the only exception.
yoco is the only person izel knows he can put his trust into completely. from an outsider's perspective, it may just seem like him and yoco are a typical lovey-dovey couple, but their relationship is built off of so much care for eachother.
izel is particularly clingy when it comes to yoco, constantly being overly caring as well as affectionate towards him. he never misses any chance he has to show yoco his love for him, whether it's just the two of them in private, or surrounded by strangers.
whenever izel has any sort of big outburst or meltdown, his immediate response is to run and hide in secluded areas to escape from people and to keep to himself. despite his urge to hide away and break down alone, he'll always call out to yoco if he ever realises that he's being searched for by him.
at the end of the day, izel is a guy who struggles from familial trauma, and is learning each day how to overcome these personal issues that have been stuck to him ever since he was a child. thankfully, he's slowly getting better.
present day, izel somehow ended up with the job of guiding lost stars as well as children of the light to where they need to be. quite an interesting task for a boy who can barely fly straight, but he surprisingly does his job well. izel tends to be quite playful and teasing towards others, but never means any harm to them.
although fairly hard working whenever tasked, you can often find him slacking off or getting distracted by small things. however, when a situation demands seriousness, izel will adapt accordingly and turn out to appear rather cold and ruthless. though, in the presence of his beloved, he will turn out to be charmingly flirtatious and affectionate.
---
that's basically all i've got for now, description wise at least! i've written their backstories as well as some regular pieces for them but i'll keep them private for nooow.. hopefully this is formatted fine and isn't too much!
hoping to draw them more and commission pieces for these two some day, i love the both of them very much :') ❤️

xiao xingchen and (unhealthy) coping mechanisms
how long ago was this sent? no idea. I'm going through my inbox answering some old asks. slowly
does he have any healthy ones? for that matter, does he have any at all?
in all seriousness, though. one of my favorite things about Xiao Xingchen other than everything is how good he is at projecting a "i'm fine, slightly melancholy but generally reasonable, very friendly and deeply invested in the well-being of others" and simultaneously he is a very unwell man.
like, is the above true? for sure Xiao Xingchen's friendliness and care is very genuine, I think he does have the real desire to make the world a better place and the belief that if he really tries he can do so, or at least help some people even if he can't make the kind of change he originally wanted to make. Xiao Xingchen has a lot of big feelings and a lot of them are about how the world just needs a little work and people just need some help and he is going to give both.
and at the same time...I mean, from the jump the first choice we see him make under intense stress is, frankly, pretty nuts! "Have a fight with your friend, give him your eyes and disappear" is not the reaction of a guy who knows how to cope. I've said before that while I think Xiao Xingchen is immensely strong I also think he's sort of brittle, and while you can push him in a lot of directions and he'll bend just fine (obligatory sex joke here), push him just a little the wrong way and he snaps like a dessicated twig. When that happens, he reacts with a kind of frantic, immediate desperation that results in pretty drastic steps (aforementioned eyes, suicide). And I don't think you can really call that a coping mechanism.
I don't think Xiao Xingchen thinks this about himself - that he has unhealthy coping mechanisms, I mean - because the thing is that Xiao Xingchen can bear a lot without flinching. Xiao Xingchen's very outlook on the world and determination to make a difference are a powerful motivator that makes it so that, confronted with what would be extraordinary stresses for most people, I think (at least for a while), he can handle it. Because it's going to get better! he's going to make it better! all he needs to do is try harder. I guess maybe that's his coping mechanism there - the belief that he can fix everything if he tries hard enough - and for a while he gets away with it because he can fix a lot of things, or at least make them a little better.
when he hits the end of that rope, though, he doesn't really have another one to grab onto.
One of the things I think about a lot when it comes to Xiao Xingchen in Yi City is the way that...I think for a long time after leaving Song Lan, Xiao Xingchen was just...drifting. he'd sort of resolved, I think, to separate himself from the world. His efforts to make a difference only resulted in suffering, so maybe he shouldn't try. And then he meets a-Qing, who invites herself along with him and basically inserts herself into his life, and now Xiao Xingchen has if nothing else a person who needs protecting, apparently by him. And then he has another person, who he expects to walk away but never does, who he befriends and gets close to and night hunts with, and it's not what he thought he'd be doing but maybe he's still making some kind of small good difference, for his friend and a-Qing, for the people he and his friend are helping. It's not the grand transformation of his and Song Lan's dream but maybe it's something.
And then it turns out that even that was not just built on a lie, but he was actively hurting people the whole time. And now that means all his trying harder has ever done is cause suffering. What else can he do, in that moment, but remove himself from the world so he can't do any more?

How I think the Moon Boys would react to meeting Other Heroes
I want to eventually turn these into fanfics relaying the events in detail (and if you want to as well, please do and tag me in it, I'd love to see what you make!) but for now we just do meta :] I'm gonna do the OG 6 avengers first, but I'll likely reblog later with other heroes if people seem interested, so lemme know if you wanna see more!
Tumblr media
Tony Stark
Marc: Definitely assumes this guy is an asshole before ever meeting him. He's a billionaire, he's cocky, he built a giant tower with his name on it--he's got all the makings of a real asshole. Upon meeting him? Well, yeah, he has to admit the guy is smart and fights well. They can work as a team when in battle for sure. Still cannot stand his personality though, and it's in part because Marc can see some parts of himself in Tony. He really doesn't like the idea that he might relate to guy who used to be fine with building weapons for awful people.
Steven: Definitely hesitant about him, in part because Marc is so adamant about his assumptions. However upon meeting him, I think Steven could grow to like him in some ways. Sure he's cocky, and has a hard exterior, but it's not like he doesn't know how to deal with that, sharing a body with Marc and Jake. He likes to hear Tony explain science and machines to him, and I could see them talking about their weapons and armor, exchanging ideas. He too is fine to fight alongside Iron Man
Jake: He's also hesitant about Stark, both because of Marc and because of his role as the protector, but he can't help but admit... the guy has fuckin style. He particularly likes Tony's cars, and when he sees magazines in the store detailing all of Tony's cars, he can't help but snag one. And when he MEETS Tony? Well it takes help from Steven outright telling Tony that he'd love to see them, but Tony does show Jake his garage full of cars, and they chat about it for so long that Marc and Steven have to practically drag the body back home before midnight. Fighting enemies with him is an entire different playing field however. Jake really hates being told what to do, so generally he'll let Marc or Steven handle battles alongside Iron Man
Tumblr media
Steve Rogers
Marc: Mixed feelings about Cap before meeting him for sure. He was a soldier like Marc was, and for that Marc feels a sense of loyalty or comradery with him. Cap also fought in WWII and helped save a lot of Jewish people, which obviously puts him in a good light. But at the same time, he's named Captain America, the same nation that spit him out of the marines with no support, no option but to become a mercenary to survive. After meeting him though, he finds that he quite likes Cap. They bond over their pasts as soldiers, and exchange stories of punching fascists right in the kisser. He considers it quite an honor to fight alongside Cap in any battles
Steven: He liked Cap from the very beginning, since he was a kid. Not obsessed, he never collected cards like Coulson, but he always regarded him as a hero for what he did in WWII. He's never liked to be called Steve, always the full name Steven, but it still made him just a little bit proud to share the same name as Captain America. After meeting Cap, he found he appreciated him as a person as well, not just as a hero. He enjoyed hearing Cap's stories about what life was like in his time, and they exchanged song recommendations together often. He too finds it an honor to fight alongside Cap
Jake: Jake didn't think much about Cap before meeting him. Sure, he was glad for what he did in WWII, saving Jewish people and punching Hitler, but he kind of thought that should've been the standard anyways. He didn't feel the need to praise the guy just for standing up for Jewish people, if anything he preferred to praise the Jewish doctor that MADE the super soldier serum, he was the one that gave them this great hero after all. After meeting Cap he did find he warmed up to him though. He was a good man, even if a bit robotic at times. Again though, he cannot stand people telling him what to do, especially in the commanding, soldier-like way Cap does it. At least Tony makes a funny comment when he tells people what to do, Cap just orders you, and Jake does NOT like that
Tumblr media
Thor Odinson
Marc: VERY hesitant about this guy, as past experience with gods has not exactly gone well for him. Upon meeting him he realizes quickly that Thor isn't much of a threat (to him at least), and he gets less cagey. He doesn't exactly become friends with Thor, but they're nice enough to each other, and can fight as a team well. Secretly tho? He thinks Thor's whole lightning and thunder thing is pretty cool
Steven: Also again hesitant due to Thor's whole God-ness, but also realizes he wouldn't harm them. He is INTENSELY interested in Asgardian/Norse mythology though, and spends several evenings asking Thor a million questions about the different realms, the culture of Asgard and all the magic that exists there. Thor promises to one day show him the Bifrost and Asgardian palace library, as well as introduce him to Heimdall, who could tell Steven more about the realms than Thor ever could
Jake: AGAIN, not exactly excited about meeting another God, and even after meeting him, Jake is still unsure for a long time. He's always quick to remind Steven that Thor is a god and things could go bad with him at any time. With time he learns to trust Thor, and have a tentative relationship with him, at least enough that he's willing to fight alongside the god in battle
Tumblr media
Clint Barton
Marc: He'd heard of someone called Hawkeye fighting in the Battle of New York, and mostly thought he must've been insane (or stupid) for fighting aliens with a bow and arrow. However after meeting him he did find a new respect for him. I think of all the people to spar with, he'd often choose Hawkeye, both because they're similar in strength (without the suit at least), and because Clint has a similar fighting style to him. They both utilize rooftops, darts/arrows/grappling hooks, and hand-to-hand combat, so he's a great person to practice with. They work well in battle together.
Steven: He was impressed hearing about a guy fighting aliens with a bow and arrow for sure. After meeting him I think he does like Clint, but might feel intimidated by him. He doesn't seem to be the most open of people, and he can see why Marc enjoys his company because of that, but Steven himself just finds Clint a bit difficult to talk to. They work fine in battle, but not as well as Jake and Marc do.
Jake: I think of anyone in MK system Jake probably is the one that can talk to Clint the most easily. He's relaxed enough that he doesn't worry about Clint being cagey at times, and good enough at bantering and talking with people to get Clint to relax and open up more. If anyone is able to start a good friendship with Clint, it's Jake. This also makes it so they work well fighting together
Tumblr media
Natasha Romanoff
Marc: Absolutely just cannot vibe with this woman, at least at first. He could tell immediately that she was analyzing him and trying to get information about himself and his past out of him when they first met, and it just threw him off instantly. Something about the spy, manipulation tactics stuff, and honestly her being a woman, just reminded him too much of his mom. Over time he would learn to be less nervous around her, especially as he realized her analytical first impression was part of a mask she put on, but he couldn't say he ever truly relaxed around her. He doesn't enjoy fighting alongside her much, but he's willing to do it
Steven: He honestly thought she was fine upon meeting her, and that Marc was freaking out over someone just being friendly to him. It's not that he didn't realize she was analyzing them, but more that he understood quickly that it was a mask. She reminded him of Marc and Jake really, and similar to them, it was just a matter of being open enough that the other person felt comfortable taking of their mask too. I think they'd get along pretty well honestly, almost a grumpy+sunshine dynamic similar to him and his alters. They don't fight very similarly though, so while they get along, there's a lot more communication happening between them to try and fight better together.
Jake: Would also tell immediately that she was trying to analyze them upon first meeting, and I think that might actually trigger him to front when they first meet. She also reminded him of their mother, and Jake would immediately start handing that same energy back to her. I could honestly see a scene where she's asking them questions, and Jake starts to front and responds to her questions with his own questions. However, I think this would result in a friendship to be honest haha! I think through analyzing each other they would figure out they're similar in a lot of ways, and Jake would end up trusting her a lot. He would know that she understood what it was to have secrets and to be constantly striving to be better than the person you were in the past, and he would understand her for the same reasons. I also think they would bond a bit over their protective natures, with how she's protective over Clint and Yelena, and how he protects Marc and Steven. Oh and they would 100000000% dance together. It's basically their version of sparring haha, and in battle in makes it so they barely have to talk in order to coordinate seamlessly together, which works perfectly for him because he doesn't have to be told what to do but he can still work well with her
Tumblr media
Bruce Banner/The Hulk
Marc: He'd heard of the Hulk before, and wasn't really sure what to think of it. Some people said he was a good guy, some people said he was bad, overall Marc just kinda hoped he'd never be on his bad side. After meeting Bruce he found that he wasn't afraid of the Hulk at all when he transformed. Cautious of course, but not afraid. He liked Bruce, he kind of reminded him of Steven in his awkwardness and nerdy ramblings. He wasn't exactly close with either Bruce or the Hulk, but they gained a mutual trust
Steven: Steven was very interested in Bruce and the Hulk ever since he'd first heard about them, and at first thought it might've been a weird, magical, or mutated version of DID. Obviously he quickly found out that wasn't the case at all, but he was still very interested in the duality of Bruce and The Other Guy and he ended up having long talks with Bruce about it when they met. I think if they'd met back then, Steven might've been able to help Bruce a lot when he was trying to figure out how to find a balance between himself and the hulk, help him figure out how to merge the best of both worlds. Steven's interactions with Hulk weren't as amicable in the beginning though, because Hulk viewed him mainly as "Banner's Friend", but Steven was still kind to him, so eventually The Hulk grew to like him too
Jake: Jake thought the Hulk was really cool honestly, but he could understand why Bruce didn't like it, because he understood the frustrating feeling of switching when you didn't want to, losing control when things got too emotional. However he didn't really voice how he related to Bruce until much further into their friendship. He still liked Bruce a lot though, for the same reason Marc did, he reminded him of Steven. He likely gets along with The Hulk a bit more though, because of he enthusiastically encouraging he is of the Hulk. He's considered the Hulk's friend, and he fights well alongside him. Overall I also think the Hulk likes the MK system because he understands that they switch similarly to how he and Bruce do, and may actually think about them working together so well when Bruce proposes the idea of them merging and working together better.
BONUS
Tumblr media
Loki Laufeyson
(this one I actually already have a fanfic for, which is why there's a link, though it's set in a sort of AU where the Mind Stone hypnotized Loki and made him more violent and evil than he actually is. Here I'll talk about a more canon-ish reaction)
Marc: Obviously, none of the MK boys are gonna like this guy initially. The man sent an alien army to earth, he's not made a good first impression. Getting to know him over time is where things begin to change. When Marc starts to figure out that his swagger and menacing personality is more of a persona than how he actually is, he starts to kind of connect the dots and figure out that this guy may have been manipulated in some way, and may be going through things similar to what Marc went through when he was a mercenary. However he doesn't dig much into it, because he really doesn't love the idea that he might relate to a guy who tried to take over the entire earth (similar to how he doesn't want to relate to Tony either).
Steven: Steven would again, not be a fan of Loki, but unlike the other two, he would be the one actively looking for any sort of redeeming quality in him. Steven would be the one to find out about Loki's father, and how poorly he was treated, and would be able to communicate that to Jake and Marc. He would be the gentlest with Loki, and would likely be able to see through Loki's mask much easier than Marc or Jake would. Whether this would result in a friendship is harder to say though. He would be happy to talk to Loki about his problems, but I can't see him easily finding something to connect with him about. Maybe through magic, and Loki talking about spells and things he knows, similar to how Steven bonds with Thor.
Jake: Again, not a fan at first, but that changes over time. Unlike Marc, Jake would likely trust Steven's ideas about Loki, and how he may not be as horrible as he seems, or at least, he may have been manipulated into being what he is now. Jake I think would be able to talk to Loki and create a stronger friendship with him than the other two, being the people person he is. He wouldn't be able to easily talk about the trauma-related stuff, that's more Steven's expertise, but he would be able to see what Steven does eventually, and realize Loki isn't so different. He'd be able to analyze him similarly to how he did with Natasha, and while he won't talk to Loki about what he realizes, his opinions will still change, and he'll see him in a different light.
If you made it this far, thank you for reading! Lemme know if you want to hear about the MK boys (or Layla???) reacting to more heroes! Again, if you make anything based of of these ideas, definitely tag me, I wanna see what you made!!

"He hurt you, didn't he?"
What a loaded fucking question.
There’s so much I wanna dissect with this line.
I read this, and in my mind Gaz is asking her if König SA’d her. Which, may have been your intention, it may not have been. But either way— that’s what I interpret when I read that.
She’s on a team of only men. Already there’s an interesting power dynamic that comes with that; a really sacred trust that has to be built over time. None of these men would ever hurt her, but that’s something they probably have had to show in order for her to fully trust them. I’m not saying she can’t hold her own— but a woman in a room with a group of 4 giant men can feel like blood in shark-infested waters.
To then cut to a mission where she’s yanked away from the people that would both kill and die for her— kidnapped by a man that looks and acts like monster. She says she’s fine, that she wasn’t hurt, but looks haunted. A frightened shell of her former self.
All of them can see that’s she’s not okay— but how could any of them even try to approach that problem? If they’re all making the same assumption Gaz is, could any of them ever picture her feeling safe enough to tell them? Tell even one of them? They were powerless to help her then, and they’re even more powerless to help her now.
I can’t imagine the guilt Gaz feels. Or the guilt the others feel.
TW: Sexual Assault
You are absolutely correct in your interpretation. I left it purposefully vague because frankly I decided not to address such a possibility within the context of this fic, as I feel it detracts from the story I'm trying to convey. (I would like to reaffirm sexual assault is a topic that should not be taken lightly within storytelling, and deserves care and attention in writing)
However you are completely right. To Gaz, Maus/Rookie is different after the incident. Jumpy, nervous, distracted, closed off. I like to think all the boys are insightful to some degree, but with Gaz it's different. He's practically clairvoyant. To me Gaz has the most training and inherent talent for intelligence work, which means he is scary good at reading people. So when Rookie starts acting the way she has been, he starts connecting the dots.
She was left alone in a room for hours with an enemy combatant, who interrogated her, reportedly touched her. Yet Rookie refuses to talk about it. This is naturally very suspicious, especially whenever someone inquires about what happened. Gaz can see Rookie is scared, frightened after what happened to her even as she tries to hide it.
In Gaz's perspective he's already come up with a narrative. Rookie is hiding the fact that she was assaulted. He understands why she does. There's stereotypes about women being victims of assault, and they take on a new type of sinister context within the military, and specifically within hostage situations. It makes sense why she wouldn't talk about it.
It doesn't negate the fact, however, that if that's what happened that Gaz failed her. This is never discussed in depth, but Gaz was awake when Rookie was taken. To him the fact that he was awake and yet couldn't help her before something terrible happened to her is something he'll never forgive himself for. In this scene when he asks if it's true, if Konig hurt her, and when Rookie flinches away from him, Gaz can't help but think that as much as he blames himself, so does she.
Also, the others feel the same. Gaz is special because he was there. The others though, they read the report. Ghost and Soap coordinated the rescue. Price saw her reaction the first time she saw Konig again in 'The First Time'. They all saw Rookie afterwards. They know something happened to her that she won't admit to. But they can't come out and say it, force her to admit it to them because it's wrong.
The team cares for Rookie deeply, but with this they are powerless, because Rookie won't let them see, won't tell them what happened. The only thing they can do for her is stand beside her, shield her, protect her when she's too lost to do it herself. They can only continue on and offer her a sense of normalcy so she can find herself again.
This concept is touched on more in the coming chapters. Price in particular gets a moment where we see the true depths of his rage at this whole situation, at the idea that the team failed their newest, youngest member.

How would the Docile describe themselves, and how is that similar/different to how they would describe each other?
Ah this is a great question, thank you so much Jinwoo :D
Tumblr media
Dosy 1 - Dollia
How she sees herself: It's typical for any Docile to have generally low self esteem and self-worth, but Dollia's always had a sense that she truly loved herself deep down, she's just been waiting for the permission to lean into it. Turns out her owner/husband is very encouraging of her having a sense of her own ownership. Dollia considers herself to be useful, most of all, and that overrides any doubts she has.
How she sees...
Dosy 2 - Dollia and Dosy 2 have mutual feelings of 'you're the better version of me' towards eachother. She sees Dosy 2 as a stronger person and appreciates her hesitation to connect with others too closely, where Dollia feels like she embraces too quickly and strongly.
Dosy 3 - Dollia doesn't know a lot about Dosy 3 - In fact she doesn't know anything about her, just that she feels a natural draw to find her. She feels as though Dosy 3 is very precious and far more delicate than she'd be willing to admit to herself
Dosy 4 - She can't help but see Dosy 4 as something of a daughter, or maybe a younger sister to her. She sees her as endearing and needing to be protected more than anything, and her doting nature towards Dosy 4 can be a little blinding to seeing her actual personality sometimes.
Flour - She respects Flour as an equal to her and respects his point of view on things, even if she tends to disagree - sometimes fiercely. She sees him as far too stiff, hoping he'll find his own things to enjoy outside his duties.
Tumblr media
Dosy 2 - May-Belle
How she sees herself: May has the 'classic' low self-esteem and self worth that the Docile are built with(Based on Dahlia, the scientist they were built to replicate). She tends to place herself the lowest on the list compared to the rest of the Docile, feeling as though she's missing something important the rest of them have. She feels best about herself when her partner is sexually attracted to her
How she sees...
Dosy 1 - Dosy 1 is a continuous source of comparison for May; feeling as though she's the lesser, broken, useless revival of something that was perfect or at least far more useful than her. She tends to be blinded by her own spiraling before she can get to know Dosy 1 for her personality
Dosy 3 - May knows her a little bit - Dosy 3 is something she feels the need to hide with a sense of protective shame. She sees Dosy 3 as dangerous to some extent, knowing she holds too many secrets and shares them far too easily.
Dosy 4 - Dosy 4 is like a little sister to May, one she likes having around. She sees her as anxious and clingy, and gladly holds her hand and speaks for her as needed. May appreciates the things Dosy 4 has to say
Flour - Flour is always complicated for May - she's incredibly attached to him whether it's healthy or not. She knows his hard exterior is a front for how soft he really is. She appreciates how much he cares in his own way. She understands his resentment for her and leans into it to mainstain their prickly, hateful yet loving relationship
Tumblr media
Dosy 3 - Maybelline
How she sees herself: Maybelline always feels as though she's in an up-hill battle with herself to ensure that she is an Adult, she can Take It, Nothing Is Wrong Here, even if she knows the truth. She feels as though she has a duty to protect whatever else is in her attic. Maybelline doesn't have a strong sense of self, and neither thinks of herself negatively nor positively - You can't have such strong opinions if you don't exist after all.
How she sees...
Dosy 1 - Maybelline is waiting for Dosy 1 to find her, but the Dosy she's imagining will is a different person that will. She sees Dosy 1 as something dead that came back to life and started living life as a human - Which is fine.. But she's far more human than the angelic voice she knew from ages ago. Dosy 1 does not meet the pedestal that she had for her anymore, and it makes Maybelline feel human emotions like concern.
Dosy 2 - She only gets to see the fierce, shame-ridden protective side of Dosy 2. Maybelline doesn't consider her much beyond a second Flour maybe, another warden. She's a little scared of Dosy 2 just because she can see her visibly holding back from hurting herself most the time.
Dosy 4 - Dosy 4 is the only one who comes to visit Maybelline. she sees her fellow 'small one' as a very wise individual who's handicapped by the ways she's been broken. They have a mutual desire to protect eachother.
Flour - A stern warden. He cannot visit her outside of odd circumstances, and when he does, he can be quite rough with her. Maybelline sees him as a suffering man, and someone who's pushing himself to be something he's not. She wishes he could rest.
Tumblr media
Dosy 4 - Middy
How she sees herself: Middy doesn't have a strong sense of self either, but it's mostly because most of her life is played out in a daze - She forgets she's a body living in this moment, often seeing the rest of the world in a spectator sort of point-of-view. She knows things she likes, things she doesn't like, and how much of a failure she is for a protective-type robot. She doesn't understand herself as a Docile, much less a sex robot.
How she sees....
Dosy 1 - She has fond feelings for Dosy 1, but she holds her at an arm's length - she's far too much of a mother for Middy to feel okay with being close to her. She thinks that Dosy 1 has had a lot happen in her life, and is glad to see she's allowed to enjoy married life with an owner that truly loves her.
Dosy 2 - Dosy 2 is like a big sister to Middy, one that she likes hanging around a lot. She sees sides to Dosy 2 that only Flour otherwise sees, like the way she regresses to feel safe. She worries for her big sister, but most of all just wants to hang around her like she's in the cool kids' club.
Dosy 3 - A dear friend to Middy, she puts Dosy 3 on a bit of a pedestal for how wise and intelligent she thinks she is. Middy feels like she can be the knight that protects the princess in the tower, especially since she can only talk to her if Dosy 3 leans out her window. She knows Dosy 3 to be young, but still respects that she wants to be seen differently.
Flour - She sees him as nice, though her view of nice is often the bare minimum, so she can't tell if she's a good judge of character there. She sees Flour as a big brother figure, and often watches the way he observes the others and takes into consideration little intricacies that others don't pick up on. She thinks he's just as soft and kind as Dosy 1 under his hard exterior. Middy tries not to think about how exhausted he is.
Tumblr media
Dosy 5 - Flour
How he sees himself: A right piece of shit, if I'm honest. He thinks very lowly of himself, and he maintains this point of view on purpose so he doesn't get blinded or tricked by any of the other Dociles' 'nice exterior'. He considers himself to be correct in any situation though, and carries himself with that confidence. He hates to think of himself as a being that has wants and needs of his own, though. The lens he has to view the world through is very sexist and Herz-esque, although he doesn't actually believe it as much as he has to.
How he sees...
Dosy 1 - A fool, an idiot, but she's earned his respect by no longer taking his shit lying down. They consider their relationship as equal as a man and a woman could be - Him above her, at least slightly. But she has a good point every now and again, and he would dutifully protect her if she asked him to. He thinks she tends to stretch herself too thin.
Dosy 2 - Complicated. He both loves and hates her the very most out of all the Docile, and it's in this intense limbo that exists a very entwined partnership and respect for eachother. He sees her for both her sides - The strong-willed, stern woman, and the pathetic, wanting, needing thing. He understands her weak points a little too well, as if she mirrors the disgusting self he knows he is too. she needs to be on a tight leash just as much as he needs to hold it, and in this there is love.
Dosy 3 - A porcelain landmine. He cannot see her for being a person at all in order to keep her contained.
Dosy 4 - A little sister. Flour sees Dosy 4 as something that needs protecting, especially when she insists that she's actually the protective one. When she broke, he was the one to insist they not destroy her. He finds her insecurities all too loud and obvious to let her stumble along alone. He feels a nagging softness for her, it compels him to buy her sweets like cake and ice cream.

How would you describe the relationship between MC and Drake? How does their relationship develop over time?
I'd say the biggest themes surrounding their relationship are about trust, being true to yourself, and then also a bit of proving that you are better than you think you are.
The overall relationship is playful, but also challenging, in the sense that because they are fundamentally different in their overarching thought processes and beliefs, they challenge each others' assumptions about the world and about themselves.
More details and spoilers beneath the cut (this got kind of rambly, sorry! And the very big spoilery parts deal with chapter 20 onwards)
So on the face of it, their relationship is very lighthearted. MC is nice, Drake is a tease, and they cheer each other up.
But Drake's cheerful facade drops a few times (each time only in front of MC) and reveals massive underlying trust issues. He'll laugh and joke with the residents of the mansion, then turn around and reveal that the whole time he thought they were keeping the MC around as a foodsource and threatened Sebastian into silence, or that MC is actually the mastermind and offering them her blood in order to manipulate the vampires into doing what she wants. Because of everything he lived through, he does not believe that people can be nice to each other just because they're nice people. He thinks there's always some motive, that people will turn around and betray you at the drop of a hat, and it's stupid to put your trust in the goodness of people's hearts because such a thing just fundamentally does not exist. Hell, he doesn't even have any faith in himself; he's betrayed his fair share of people too. Promises are just empty words, whether they are promises someone else made to him, or his own.
Meanwhile, the MC is coming at things from the exact opposite end. From her own experiences, you can pretty much count on people being generally nice and good. Sure you can have differences, and of course the world isn't all sunshine and roses where every single person is good. But generally, she's on the side of 'believe people until they've given you reason to think otherwise'. You live life by trusting other people and justifying their trust in you. And here is where she struggles: because she doesn't want to let other people down. She's stuck in the 19th century through no fault of her own, but she has come to enjoy being with everyone at the mansion and the new life she has built for herself here and feels like this is where she belongs. Is she betraying her friends and family in the present day for enjoying her new life? If Comte and the others knew she was struggling with this, would they think she was blaming them for not being able to get her home?
So a big part of their early relationship is them taking each others' experiences and viewpoints, and adapting it slightly to help them come to terms with what their individual issues, even though it might take them to a completely different conclusion than the other person.
For example: Drake encourages MC to live her own life according to what she wants, to be true to herself. If other people don't agree, so what? As long as you don't betray yourself, you're fine. He takes that view because of everything he's gone through in the past, not allowing himself to believe in other people or care about their opinions of him, because that can all change in an instant and you'll be left with no one. So he thinks you can only be true to yourself by betraying others. But the MC takes that message differently because of her own personality: she fundamentally trusts other people, so she can put her faith in the people she left behind. Surely, the friends and family who love her in the present don't think she betrayed them because she chose to pursue her own happiness in the past. And the fact that she's staying in the past doesn't erase that she truly does care deeply for them, even when they are apart. She can still be true to herself because she trusts other people.
So the relationship does change significantly around the time after they both realize they have feelings for each other. This happens after MC gets kidnapped by vampire hunters and Drake rescues her. Earlier, MC made a promise to Drake: she'd never betray him, no matter what. And Drake being who he is, can't accept that at face value, and so offers a promise in return: he'll always keep her safe, no matter what. A promise for a promise, a transaction.
Now, remember that Drake doesn't believe himself. He's lying through his teeth when he makes the promise, because he doesn't think promises have any value. Anyway, he wants the world to be destroyed, so it's not like he'd be keeping that promise in the long run. But he still came to save her when she was kidnapped and about to be executed, anyway. He coudl have stayed back and let it play out, because nobody knew where MC was being kept except for him. But he saved her anyway.
He tells MC he didn't think he had any intention of keeping his promise, and says that even though he saved her this time, he might not in the future. He hands her a gun, that he had previously taught her how to use after the vampire hunters showed up, and tells her to keep it on her. Just in case he does end up betraying her in the future. But she says she still puts her trust in him, because she wants to. She believes in him, and again reaffirms her own promise not to betray him no matter what. So here she is, offering him what he thought he would never have: the ability to trust someone completely, and also be trusted in return.
But is it real? She says she'll never betray him, but people say things all the time. Can he let himself trust her? Does she really mean it when she says "no matter what"? What if he betrays her first? What will she do then?
He nearly stabs Vlad in the back (revealing that his knife was forged from the spear used by the vampire hunters that killed Vlad's family, the only weapon in the world that can kill purebloods), and then says that he intends to kill the MC next. He says everything they had was a lie, all the time they spent together was meaningless. And that if she wants to stop him, she needs to remember what she has to do. Then he vanishes.
Nobody is able to find him, which leads MC to believe that she's the only one who knows where he is: earlier in the route, she stumbled upon a safehouse belonging to Drake and Galileo. Maybe he's hiding there. She goes alone, taking the gun with her, not sure what she wants to do with it just yet, but wanting to see him again so she can get the full story and decide for herself what she wants and needs to do.
So Galileo has another time-travel door, and Drake is hiding beyond it. Though before she meets him, she does get to witness the most defining moments of his past and backstory (I've detailed here). But eventually they run into each other, just the two of them alone, and this is where Drake's final test begins. He tells her he wants the world to end, and she's one of the things standing in the way of him achieving that. So he'll kill her, right here, and he raises his knife to point at her.
MC is conflicted: She does love Drake. But he wants to destroy the world. He wants to kill everyone she cares about. And he wants to kill her. She's hurt, angry, but most of all sad. If she wants to keep the people she cares about safe, everything has to end here. And so she raises the pistol and aims at Drake.
But just as she's about to fire, she catches him smirking wryly. Sees his lips move, his resigned whisper of "I knew it". And she realizes that it doesn't have to end this way. As much as Drake is testing her to try and prove that his way of thinking is correct--that everyone will betray you in the end, no matter what they way--she can test him as well, to prove to him that putting your faith in other people is not misplaced.
So instead of firing at Drake, she puts the pistol to her own temple, and begins to pull the trigger.
The sound of a gunshot echoes, but the pistol is pointed to the air. In the blink of an eye, Drake ran up to her to pull the gun away from her head. He asks her what the hell she was doing, she answers simply: she promised she wouldn't betray him, and she intends to keep it. Yes, he betrayed her, wants to destroy the world she loves so much, and nearly killed her. But no one gets to dictate what she feels or what she does with her feelings. She wants to live by putting her trust in people, Drake included.
And she was right to: he saved her life just now. He kept his promise, too.

AITA for getting myself killed (& killing my murderer later?)
So. I (25F) decided to prank my dad (54M) for April Fools by scaring the shit out of him. Problem was, he happened to be holding a fire axe at the time and he tends to panic real bad soo... Long story short, I'm dead now.
But I've done research about ghosts and, turns out that when people are murdered, they kinda.. persist. So I persisted.
While I'm feeling ... feelings about all of this, obviously he feels bad about it, bad enough that he coded one of the robots to try and 3d print me a new body (another long story). But then he made a different robot to stop? That? So. That too.
Anyways. One night, wasn't really sure why, but I got a new body printed all at once, and basically as soon as I had the body, I killed him. He'll do the whole ghost thing though because I murdered him. So it's fine. Right? Help me out here.
EDIT: okay so apparently my dad built an AI version of his dead brother (who is also?? the guy who killed a bunch of people at that pizza place that he didn't like????) and that AI dead brother wanted me to kill him also. dunno how I feel about that. I guess I've always wondered what my uncle was like?

Silvio Ricci - Wet & Nekkid Story
STANDARD AMATEUR DISCLAIMER APPLIES! This is from the current collection event, I hope you guys enjoy some shirtless cute bickering <3
~~~~~~
One sweltering rainy summer day, Emma is walking down the hallway and sweating in the oppressive heat when she comes across Silvio.
"Perfect timing, woman," he says.
She's looking at him and commenting in shock on his appearance - he's leaving a literal trail of water behind him, soaked from head to toe. Clearly having been caught in the summer downpour outside.
Imperiously, he demands she bring some linens/towels to his room.
Tumblr media
"... I'm not a maid," she reminds him, but he dismisses her argument and insists she do so quickly. She's left to silently curse his unreasonableness as he stomps off in irritation, swiping at the water still dripping from him.
Realizing there's nothing else she can really do, she reluctantly complies. Soon announcing herself as she enters Silvio's guestroom, carrying an armload of linens - only to stop, stunned.
"You're late. Hurry up and bring the towels here," he orders.
Tumblr media
She's still reeling, trying to catch up. Silvio's always draped in jewels and finery…but at the moment, he's naked from the waist up and she's struck speechless.
"Hey, are you listening?" Silvio scowls and closes the gap between them, as she is still standing there dumbstruck. The well-built, toned body before her is still slightly damp, and even his normal exotic scent seems different than usual in this moment.
He reaches towards her - and that's the point at which she finally hits her limit. She lets out a shriek that startles him, chucking the linens she was holding and retreating to the nearest corner. "Wh-why are you naked?! You knew I was coming!"
He points out that he's not naked, he's only got his shirt off. "Was I supposed to stay in those sopping wet clothes?"
She's still bluescreening, watching the water dripping from his hair and glistening down his body. A half second from swooning clean away at just the sheer level of sexy when all that is coupled with his stupidly handsome face.
She can't look at this!!! Half panicked, she starts stammering that she's brought him the linens so she'll head out now, tyvm!!
But Silvio stops her. "Wait." Grabbing her by the scruff of the neck as she tries to make a break for it.
Tumblr media
She's flailing that he's gotta let her go and hurry up and dry himself off before he catches a cold - but he's too busy being amused by how her usually uncharming self is so shy and embarrassed by all this.
"I'm not embarrassed!" She corrects him. "I just don't know where I'm supposed to look!"
"Then look at me," he smirks. "It'd be rude to avoid looking at an honored guest."
Tumblr media
But she vehemently rejects this idea, accusing him of being a shameless prince. Unperturbed, he just sort of shrugs and says if that's what she thinks he'll live up to her expectations of him and make her stay there until he's finished changing.
She's got zero interest in that, but as she tries to flail free of his grip he grabs her chin so that she can't escape. Her whole body burning as he forces her gaze to meet his.
"What's the matter? None of your usual bravado?" Silvio smirks.
Tumblr media
He's enjoying this, she realizes, fuming. "Fine then. If that's what you want, I've got an idea." She's not about to go down without a fight, and boldly she declares that in that case, she's going to dry his hair.
He flinches and lets go of her immediately, just as she expected he would. Knowing he hates to be touched.
Tumblr media
"Fine, fine, you've killed all the fun. Now get out," he tells her.
She tells him not to hesitate though. "You're the one who said I should stay here until you were finished changing," she points out gleefully. Now she's gotten over the moment and is able to face him in all his smexy glory head on, bending down to pick up a fallen towel and advance on him.
As she does, Silvio takes a step back to escape from her. "You get any closer and I'm upgrading you from cheeky woman to shameless woman," he scowls.
Tumblr media
"You started it first!" she counters.
"Shut up."
They start bickering as she accuses him of being the embarrassed one, and he snipes back that she's getting all cocky about this. Emma personally enjoys having the tables turned more than a little, and presses this to her full advantage - advancing on him until he's trapped against the wall.
That is until she gets tangled up in some of the fallen towels on the floor and trips, letting out a little cry as she feels herself start to fall. She braces herself for the pain…only for Silvio to reach out and grab her, catching her in his arms.
"Sorry. Thank yo-" But her automatic response dies away when she lifts her head and is hit with the full force of those ocean eyes up close, their gazes locking.
Tumblr media
The second it sinks in that she's held in his arms, pressed up tight to all that wet, bare, delightfully fragrant body, a soundless cry escapes her as a gasp.
They stare like that for long moments, Silvio's expression cycling from shock to a scowl to something softer, but still blushing.
Tumblr media
Until she finally breaks the silence by asking what they're doing.
"...Hell if I know," Silvio replies.
She's managed to make a total fool of herself, she's painfully aware of that. And the strange spell lasts a bit longer, before it finally passes.
Silvio breaks out into a grin, and observes that being stupid seems contagious when she's around.
"That's rude," she huffs.
Tumblr media
He's a domineering tyrant, full of unreasonable demands, she thinks…but then, this sort of thing is exactly what makes him so hard to hate.
An attempt at making a silly bbieal au
The player (you) is placed in a school house, trapped with the test subjects. WiLl yOu maKe iT oUt aLiVe??
_______________________
Some info of some characters-
The school house is where the test subjects stay- of coouurrseee :)
Test subject #004;
Baldi Baldimore (Blake)-
Tumblr media
He acts like regular Baldi but has a few differences like darker skin tone, he looks tired all the time, has a right mechanical arm, and a left mechanical leg, also an eye patch on the right. He seems to like to drink coffee
( He lost his eye, leg and arm after failing to capture the player as punishment. Also placed a tracker on him, and a shock collar just in case if he ever tries to escape or misbehave. ) >:[
He also has a craving for human flesh, seems like the little test worked. Whenever the player gets injured, he can smell the blood from the other side of the school house making it impossible to get away from #004, there is a way to make him snap out of his cannibalistic state; by spraying him with the B-soda, seems to work. I have placed 4 first aid kits around the school house for the player to find, though it'll be impossible to find them without running into the other test subjects.
After the player finds the correct key, #004 will enter an aggressive state chasing the player. B-Soda will not make him snap out of it, but it will slow him down for a few seconds.
Test subject #005;
The Principal of the thing (Chris)-
Tumblr media
Like the same as #004 he acts like the regular Principal, also having a few differences. Lighter skin tone, longer hair which is always in a low ponytail, glasses and has baby blue pupils in his eyes. His eyes are black because of a slight malfunction in the lab, though #005 seems to function perfectly fine though he's kinda blind.
(He does his job pretty well, always catching the player whenever they break the rules. Very determined to catch them, he'll never stop following them until he's caught the player. Very impressive )
con is whenever he loses his glasses it makes his job way more harder. His eyes also seem to drip a black liquid substance whenever he's Angry, overwhelmed, or sad.
Test subject #006;
Playtime ( Sarah )-
Tumblr media
Also acts like normal playtime, has fluffy hair that are in two pigtails. She has no pupils but can see perfectly fine, very energetic. Though she has a short attention span, she stops chasing the player after losing sight of them. She seems to have grown attached to test subject #004.
Test subject #007;
It's a bully ( Owen )-
Tumblr media
He does a pretty good job at blocking the player's path, only moving once the player gives up an item. Test subject #007 seems to like bothering test subject #004. (I have to keep an eye on them, don't want any of them killing each other.)
Test subject #001
Null ( . . . )-
[ Redacted ]
Robot helper;
First Prize-
A robot I've built for fun, nothing much to say.. it does head towards the player at full speed once spotted.
Test subject #008
Arts and crafts-
Tumblr media
An entity that chooses to hide itself with a.. sock?- It's docile but will become aggressive if stared at for too long, it will not harm the player though it'll surround them while letting out a loud and deafening static like screech alerting Test subject #004 (Baldi)
The player ( Y/N )-
After entering the school house, there's no going back. If they want to leave they'll have to find the correct key for the exit, there are seven keys scattered throughout the school house. Once finding the correct key, they'll have to run as quick as they could before #004 can catch them. If they don't make it out, they'll be ripped apart by test subject #004.
Note: Still working on the ref sheets for the others. Make sure to check back here daily for any updates.
Useful items:
B-Soda -
It works on most of the test subjects, except for #007.
Scissors-
Can be used on #006, though it'll make her upset. But she'll completely forget about it after 10 seconds.
The mixtape-
Using it will make it hard for #004 to find the player, it only lasts for 20 seconds.
First-aid kit-
If injured (accidentally) by first prize or Arts and crafts, use the first aid kit.
This is a WIP.. more will be added soon
The guy who runs the school house
