I can't stop thinking about Bruce coming to the realization that his children are grown up.

Like this man is huge, he used to absolutely dwarf his little Robins, and could carry each of them in one arm at some point.

This man will hug one of his kids and realize they no longer fit under his arm anymore, that some of them are, and will become taller than him.

He'll probably reminisce how his children used to hide under his cape whenever they felt scared or just wanted to have fun, and Bruce realizes that they're all so grown that they can't really do that anymore and that they don't really need to rely on their dad to protect them now, and I bet he just tears up at that.

He'll just be sitting in his office, looking at all his children's photos from when they were younger and he'll feel so proud at how far they've come, but also a little devastated at how he can't just scoop his kids up and shield them from everything the world throws at them.

I bet when Bruce is especially in his feels, he'll just think about when he first got each of them and how small and cute they all were, how they all slowly began to see him as their father, how they used to crawl into his bed when they wanted his comfort :')

Bruce will just think about how they each brought joy back into his life and how he'd literally do anything to keep them safe cuz those are his babies.

Big Mama must have lost some serious standing in the yokai underworld because it’s gotten apparent that she keeps being beaten by a small group of teenagers and the occasional rat man, and when it’s not them then she’s taking L’s from her own schemes working against her.

And in the ensuing power vacuum, the Hamatos accidentally become the most feared crime family known to all the big bads of the Hidden City.

After all, they’ve publicly outplayed Big Mama multiple times, a couple of them have taken out the heads of two of the most well known criminal organizations, one took out Heinous Green, two are responsible for the destruction of Witch Town, they have ties to both the infamous Baron Draxum and Captain Piel, they won the Doom Dome death race, they’re Battle Nexus Champions, they’ve displayed insane feats of power and defeated impossibly strong enemies, most of them have been to jail, and they regularly mingle with humans.

You can just imagine the notoriety they’d accumulate from word of mouth alone.

My job is burning around me and I’m only seen as an expendable cog in a giant corporate machine, but at least I have Helpy to lend a brightly colored hand!!! <3

i’m rereading ootp (to my own horror) and like. knowing what happens in that one and the next two books makes that intense, bubbling frustration of being a teenager whose worries are disregarded so much worse.

like, surprise?? the kid whose childhood you’re trying to preserve lost that innate innocence years ago. you want him to be a normal 15 yr old boy but if you keep quiet about the dangers he might not live to see his 16th birthday. and congrats on keeping him safe, i guess—you’ve accidentally ruined the last piece able to tether him to his childhood, but i’m sure those months of torture were worth the farce of normality you craved for him. i don’t think you know that your apologies are like sticking band aids on a fracture. i don’t think you’re aware of how you’re ignoring the breaks, but i’m certain you’re expecting them to heal on their own.

oh, they didn’t? and now you’re treating him like he’s a bubble made of glass, waiting to shatter? but you’re the one to have turned him into that bubble, aren’t you? you’re the one who’s holding him, and it’s not his time yet. not for another two years. and shards of glass dulled with time cannot fell a monster, can they? so please be careful. you still need him. he never asked to be a martyr but he’ll do it because you expect him to; you just need to watch your step because your hands are slicked with guilt, and he’s heavy. he’s struggling. he’ll fall as well, if you let him go now.

Damian, once he gets the hang of Gotham cultural rules, is an absolutely beloved part of any classroom. The teachers, if they’re any good, think he’s a clever darling, and his classmates, if they meet the bare minimum of not bullying him or others, realize he has no problem helping them with homework. Usually all it takes is them agreeing to explain a meme without laughing at him.

Bruce isn’t surprised at this at all, because thats his baby and of course hes an angel darling sweetheart.

thinking about pran having to deal with his "unrequited" crush on pat while pat remains an oblivious clingy puppy who continues to pull at his heartstrings who then ditches their bus stop project for the girl he thought he lost him to in school, who comes back and acts all concerned and calls his dimples cute and proceeds to confuse him more who then annoys him on the morning of the match and then annoys him even more by flirting and then actually caring in front of others and then if that wasnt enough he had to be all wounded sad puppy outside his room to end up getting invited in and then have the audacity to ask him if he were ink if he would have liked him and making him lie to his face and then sleeping right next to his bed peacefully like pran's heart wasnt unravelling blood vessel by blood vessel every minute and yet in the morning when he wakes up, he does it so quietly and softly that pat has no idea that he has to wake up until he smells the breakfast (that pran had made for him and its) scent wafting into the room and now im sad.
