#he killed the Fenton parents to get custody of Danny
Text
A few months before Danny gets his powers, while on a trip to Gotham with his family (maybe there was a ghost convention or something). While in Gotham Danny some how figures out that Bruce Wayne is Batman. I don’t know how he figures it out, but he does. When they get back to Amity Danny jokingly makes a power point presentation for his parents about why they should put in their will that if something ever happened to them Bruce Wayne would get custody of him (and Jazz if she’s still underage at the time).
A couple of his points are:
He’s a billionaire so you know he’ll be able to afford to take care of me and Jazz
He has a mansion so lots of space and big rooms
He’s got a butler
He’s already well known for adopting black haired blue eyed children so he probs wouldn’t be opposed to taking me in
He’s got kids of his own already so me and Jazz would get more siblings!!
He’s Batman
Danny did the whole power point as a joke but his parents actually took it kind of seriously. Cause up to this point neither one of them had thought about what would happen to Danny and Jazz if the both of them where to die. So they make a will and put in it that if they both die then Bruce Wayne gets custody of their kids. And then they all promptly forget about it.
Two years later Bruce Wayne gets a call from a man claiming to be the executor of the Fenton will and that Bruce’s presence is requested in Amity Park for the reading of the Fenton will. Bruce is wracking his brain trying to remember who the Fenton’s are and if how he knows them. But the man is coming up blank (cause he’s never actually met them before). He goes to the will reading and is shocked to hear that the Fenton’s, two people he’s never met before, have left custody of their 16yo son to him.
Danny is just as shocked because holy shit that power point was a joke. He didn’t mean for his parents to actually take it seriously and do that!!! And Vlad is pissed. He was sure he was gonna get custody of Danny after killing off the Fenton parents! Bruce is trying to figure out why these two strangers left their son to him. He’s watching Danny with eagle eyes trying to figure the kid out. And he sees the way Danny flinches whenever Vlad gets close or puts his hand on Danny’s shoulder.
Vlad tries to convince Bruce it would be better for Danny if Bruce gave up custody to him(Vlad). He’s know the boy for two years after all and he was actually a family friend. Danny meanwhile is silently shaking his head and giving Bruce pleading eyes silently begging him not to let Vlad take him. Bruce just tells Vlad that the Fenton’s must have had a good reason for giving him(Bruce) custody instead of giving it to Vlad, and he’s going to abide by the Fenton’s wishes.
Bruce leaves with Danny and once in the limo he asks Danny if he’s ever met him or his parents before. Poor Danny has to explain how he jokingly made a power point about why his parents should leave custody of him to Bruce in the event of their deaths, and how he never thought his parents would actually take it seriously. But hey at least he doesn’t have to go live with Vlad now!

Before The Wayne Came A Kane
Martha Wayne née Kane came from a very prestigious family even before she married her husband, the illustrious M.D. Thomas Wayne. Sadly, her family never supported her union with Thomas, so she largely cut them out of her life once she married and that certainly had not changed when she had a son.
Her strained relationship with the rest of her family is particularly apparent when it's revealed, at the release of her and Thomas' respective wills after their unexpected, tragic deaths, that she would not give her brothers or sisters-in-law custody of Bruce. They may be the last of his living relatives, but even in death she would never allow them to touch her baby boy. Hence, his care is left to the head butler, one Alfred Pennyworth.
She did have two sister, though. Two baby sisters, one who had been disowned and disavowed from the family long before her, named Alicia. And one who was far too young to take in her son, even if Martha had allowed it. Her name is Madeline Kane. As the only other acknowledged daughter left from Roderick and Elizabeth Kane, she is left to carry the burden of her older sister's legacy. And what a burden it was, to be constantly compared to a dead woman her family seemed to adore and loathe in strides.
It's really no wonder that the moment she gets the chance, she leaves her family in Gotham to attend a university in Wisconsin. There, she meets Jack Fenton. He can be a little clumsy sometimes, but he has an eye for engineering and doesn't like her for her family's name or wealth. He calls her "Maddie" when she says so, and he doesn't ask about the change.
She falls in love and the two are wedded in the blink of an eye, Maddie pregnant with their first child only a few years after graduation. In her family's eyes, it just further proves that any Kane daughter is cursed and doomed to failure. (Beth understands this. Bette learns this. Kate knows this.)
And all too similarly to her elder sister, when her son is just fourteen years old, she is killed: yet another unexpected, tragic death. Her husband and her daughter perish along with her. Just like her older sister, the only one left is her baby boy.
Only, Maddie wasn't nearly as forthcoming with her will, and there is no guardian marked for custody in his papers. The Kanes, who proclaim they are his rightful family, are more than happy to take advantage of this.
Bruce isn't close to his family, beyond perhaps Kate. But if there is one thing that he knows it's that his parents didn't give his estranged relatives custody of him for a reason. Alfred is stingy with the details, but he can confirm that much.
Bruce is left to fight an uphill battle, helping a mourning boy heal from his loss and fighting his extended family's attempts for custody at every turn.
More ramblings under the cut:
See this guy right here?
Tumblr media
This is Jacob Kane, Kate's father, Martha's brother, and Bruce's uncle. He's got the distinct red hair and do you know who else has red hair? Maddie. Jacob is a respected military officer and Maddie, in general, has always given me strong former U.S. agent vibes. But regardless, it makes sense that Maddie would know things or learned how to fight at an early age if her older brother left for military service.
Also, I just love showing Bruce's extended family and how twisted, complicated his family was long before he adopted so many children. And this also helps explain why Maddie is so cagey with her background. She only has Alicia left really, all the rest she keeps out and away for good reason.
But she can't protect Danny from them forever.
Plus, there's this really cool possibility for Danny to stay with the Kanes for a while and explore that avenue before he's ultimately brought into the Wayne fold. Danny gets to see what the upper crust Gotham elites look like with his own two eyes, beyond Sam's stories.

Project R AU where Danny is a clone created from the DNA of all the Robins past and present by the drs Fenton when they were teenagers.
Upon realizing the child they had made was going to be used as a weapon for evil they quickly and quietly packed up thier family and belongings and jumped ship to a new dimention with the kid after putting him in stasis so he was essentially frozen in time.
Later on little Jazz finds the baby in the tank and assumes the stork had made a delivery and flips the switch to release him from stasis so he can finish growing. A week later the pod beeps and she brings him out of the storage room as a chubby healthy baby and her parents loose thier minds for a bit.
Danny grows up normally...well not really but you get what I mean. Maddie makes sure Danny knows how to fight and wouldn't take no for an answer. No matter how much Danny complained that he wanted to play video games, go to the park with his friends or that Jazz didn't have to fight, she would never relent. Maddie knows she's nowhere near the level of a fully trained assasin but she wanted to give Danny every leg up she could.
She knew he would need it. Call it a mothers intuition.
Well, crap happens. Vlad outs Danny as Phantom and it ends very poorly for the wannabe vampire. Danny escapes into the GZ but just barely and is forced to leave his old life behind but not before Jazz tells him about what she had recently learned about Project: R.
The portals are destroyed and Danny flees to his home dimension in search of his fathers. Unfortunately when he gets there he learns most of his fathers are dead, only Damian Al Ghul and Jason Todd remaining, both having very strained relationships with thier own father Bruce Wayne and everything has gone to crap.
Theres an evil dictator in red and blue ruling the world and they're the reason two of his dads are dead. So he decides to rip the symbol off his chest, put on a mask and make his big debut as Phantom.
How you may ask?
By killing the evil Superman and his cronies on live television and announcing that he's the child of Project: R and what that means.
Damian finds Phantom in Bludhaven looking for him and asking him to take him in only to get refused. Damian fears that Bruce might try to turn Danny against him so is hesitant to get close emotionally.
Jason has no such concerns and scoops him up before Bruce can dress him like a traffic light. They then have the superhero talk and Phantom says he wants to be a anti-hero not a superhero. He already tried that one and it sucked so much. Jason definitely didn't like the fact his kid had been a superhero at any point but finding out pretty much all the adults in Dannys life had failed him so hard made Jay fly into a rage.
Bruce tries to go for custody but fails. Dannys doesn't like how the Titans treat Damian so he steals all the ABBA cds from the tower and makes off like a thief in the night. When they discover this they flip out because those were Dicks and they became practically sacred after he died.
Danny decided to cause problems on purpose. Such acts include:
1. Turning all the furniture in the common rooms of the Titans Tower into hyper realistic cake so when they sat on it/tried to turn on the TV, ect they'd be in for a suprise.
2. Stealing all the tires off of every vehicle Bruce owned and giving them to Jason/whoever was down on thier luck and couldn't afford to change thier tires. Danny says he has "a legacy to uphold" while balancing on the top of on of the tires as he runs it across Gotham
3. Torments Black Mask and Slade. Somehow all thier homes and safe houses are filled with beans. Yes, beans. Whenever they are in Gotham they get beaned in the face with a pickle. (This is worse for BM cause ya'know)
They have no idea whos doing this or why.
Ras Al Ghul is not amused by the pickleing but does not get beanified cause Danny doesn't know where most of his places are so he gets A LOT of pickles thrown at him every chance Danny gets.
4. Danny decides Damian requires lots of snuggles and just turns intangible whenever Damian tries to pry him off. Multiple people keep comparing him to Dick and its starting to get on Dannys nerves. He has three other dads to compare him to and Dick isn't even the only dead one! What about Tim??? He wants to learn about Tim! He demands his fathers tell him about themselves and Tim

Not to Marvel x DP post,
But I need to write a fic where Matt Murdock ends up in custody of Danny Fenton.
It'd be a The Fentons Are Bad Parents AU where Danny goes to visit his friend Peter in NYC and ends up meeting Matt, who proceeds to decide that he needs to gain custody over this child and his sister. So, like the good lawyer he is he represents himself and swiftly gains custody of the Fenton children
Karen and Foggy are also legal guardians btw. The three are raising the ghost child and his child prodigy sister together as a group. Karen is actually the best mom. She would kill someone again for them.
Not shown: Peter, Ned, MJ, and Harley being friends with the siblings. MJ and Sam totally get along. Tucker, Peter, and Ned are peas in a pod. Tony Stark watches as another set of children gets added to his gaggle of children.

Need to know if this fic idea already exists. If it doesn't, SOMEONE PLEASE WRITE THIS.
Ok, so I just read "Harry Potter and the Asterous Wandmaker" by Aprotny on AO3, and it gave me ideas.
The basic premise is that Mary Grayson was a friend of Lily Potter who agreed to look after Richard for a few days while Harry was sick, as Richard was a newborn and they didn't want to risk him getting ill as well, but then they die and the Greysons end up adopting Richard for real and raising him until Canon DC events occur. Shenanigans ensue that lead to Harry moving in with Bruce at 15 and Voldie is killed early.
My thought was, what if it was this, but with Maddie. So Maddy takes on Daniel, and a miscommunication occurs that leads to her believing Harry died with his parents. Due to her being a squib, she only tangentially knows about the wizarding world, and this is what fuels her desire to study ectobiology. She KNOWS they're real. She just has to prove it.
The only other person who knew about Danny was Peter, and due to some small sliver of loyalty, he never told anyone about him. Harry finds out in the Forbidden Forest when he's walking to his death as his parents tell him they can watch over Danny's life together or something, and sets off to America once he'd recovered after the battle.
Harry could be Master of Death and help Danny out with his ghost battles
Harry could set off all the ecto-alarms in the house, causing the boys to gaslight the Drs. Fenton into thinking that it's going off due to them being British born or due to magic
Danny could be a squib, which is what helped him survive the accident
Harry could arrive pre portal/ just after it happened
If Harry is 18, he might fight for custody of Danny, due to the house being unsafe for him to live there
Opportunity for billionaire vs billionaire showdown when Harry finds out what Vlad is doing to Danny
Danny could tell everyone Dani is a Potter and get her an official identity through the goblins, this could be how Harry finds out about Plasmius being Masters
For a bonus, if you want to add in the DC universe, John Constantine could be a squib relation thriving the Black family, or a relation through the Evans family. The older brother that Petunia pretended she didn't have
I just really don't have time to write this but it won't leave my head.

Fic Masterlist- I'll reblog every time I add a chapter or add a new WIP.
For all of these, feel free to interact with me about them! I may add/remove/change things based on your comments. Except maybe H(a)unted.
H(a)unted - AO3 link here. Summary: My most angsty/messed up fic ever! Are the Fentons Haunted? Or are the halfas Hunted?
Danny is shocked when he, his parents, and Jazz are taken to court by Vlad Masters in a custody battle. Ridiculous! Right?
Not as much as Danny would like to think. As the trial goes on, Danny discovers he and his sister aren't who or what they thought, that their parents are not as they seem, and Vlad, his enemy, may be their only shot at survival.
This story is told primarily through dialogue and epistolary storytelling as an experiment. Throughout the story, please expect body horror, illegal and nonconsensual experimentation on human beings, murder, and kidnapping. Mind the tags, please.
Darcy Lewis' Adventures Dating Dracula- AO3 link here. Summary: Follow Darcy Lewis and Vlad Masters as they start dating- and deal with everything from ghostly serial killers, the Things In Crybaby Creek, Politics, the Addams Family, and international spyassasins.
The Fantabulous Emancipation of Danny Phantom- AO3 link here. Summary: The Fenton family journeys to Gotham to get Jazz settled in her dorm at Gotham U. Things go a little sideways when Danny lets something ghostly slip, and his parents try to shoot the 'evil ghost' out of him.
Danny can't go home. But his sister's 18 and willing to rent a campus apartment, Gotham has a layer of ectoplasm so thick it's almost as good as Amity Park, and he's already made a new friend!
Harley was just going to get snacks for Bud & Lou, her hyenas. She did not mean to befriend a tourist, but the kid's almost as crazy as she is!
Join Danny and Harley in a journey of friendship, crime for good reasons, and kicking Vlad and the Joker's ass.
Jack, the DILF of Amity Park- AO3 link here. Summary: AU where Vlad doesn't lust over Maddie. No, he's obsessed with Jack, and since college (minus a 20 year gap), they've fought over the man's affections like two cats.
However, as Maddie would kill him in 2 seconds, tge shenanigans are more sitcom-esque competition, conolete with Danny begging for brain bleach multiple times, and Vlad realizing Jack isn't the only Fenton he's in love with.
Jack, of course, is completely oblivious to the fact his visiting very friendly people causes Vlad and Maddie to stalk him amd talk for once. Or is he?
Danny Phantom in Showghost!- AO3 link here. Summary: Tucker Foley was having a perfectly normal day- until he runs into Narrator, a ghost who is possibly as powerful as Clockwork or Ghostwriter. The problem isn't Narrator- they just want their book back.
No, the problem is the GIW. And the possibility that the town of Amity Park was sucked into a mini-universe outside of time. And, to add more problems to Tucker's day, he seems to be the only one who realises what's going on.
"We are on a timeline, though," Narrator said cheerfully.
"What?! When were you gonna tell me that?!"
They scowled. "Those idiots in white broke my book. If we don't wake everyone up before we run out of pages, everyone dies here."
Not Broken, Just Bent- AO3 link here. Summary: The sequel to Vlad & The Accidental Family Acquisition and Darcy Lewis' Adventures Dating Dracula, NBJB is a Jazz-centric fic about growing up asexual, and the trials and tribulations of being asexual in a very sexual culture. On hiatus until DLADD is complete.
Pending fics (planned, but not written yet, or in draft stage) will be added in reblogs.
Questions about the fics, suggestions, or just have aome ideas? Hit that ask button or ask me in the comments!

Spoiled Family Breakfast AU idea beneath the cut
The trio get together after the accident and Jack and Maddie both know about Vlad being half ghost. After proving that it’s not curable, they just sort of roll with it. They still come up with Fenton works. Jack and Maddie get married with Vlad in the marriage symbolically but not literally because it’s illegal. But that’s fine because they’re all still together.
Their business of ghost weapons and protections goes even better because they have a real (half) ghost to help them test things. Then Jazz is born, Jack’s daughter, followed by twins Daniel and Danielle, Vlad’s kids, and Vlad’s obsession with love/family has him taking on the bulk of the child rearing while the other two, with their own obsession with ghosts, spend more and more time in the basement or working on their projects in the living areas, occasionally ‘testing’ their experiments when he’s not expecting it. They’re the main earners and he’s basically the house spouse at this point, but he doesn’t mind. And it’s okay for a while, but slowly things start drifting as the two become more and more involved in their projects, even making a new ghost portal. Vlad really doesn’t want anything to do with portals, but his own curiosity with the Ghost Zone has him grudgingly helping out and the portal is finished (maybe even earlier than in canon).
He’s actually fairly relieved when it doesn’t work and he warns the children away from it. Unfortunately, Danny and Ellie like to goad each other into doing dumb things. Vlad feels them them die/their cores forming and rushes down while the other two are still moping in the master bedroom. He’s extremely relieved when they turn back into their human forms, but he’s torn between raging against the other two for creating another portal and half-killing him and his children, guilt for not protecting them better and preventing this himself, and a sort of relief that he isn’t the only one of his kind anymore because there was a very real chance of him outliving everyone and now he won’t have to watch his babies grow old, die, and leave him alone in the world.
He’s also torn on wether or not he tells the other two, because on one hand they’re also the twin’s parents and need to know, but they’re also getting increasingly callous about testing potentially dangerous weapons on him and there’s no way in hell he’s letting them test things on his babies. He’s almost tempted to leave, but, well, a single man with little to no job experience or personal savings is never going to get custody over a married couple with their own, fairly lucrative, business if a fight breaks out. This is all further complicated by other ghosts finding the portal open and coming through to terrorize the town. None of them have any actual ghost fighting experience, though Vlad has been using his powers more regularly for more mundane things, and the twins are fully willing to throw themselves into danger out of their own guilt/obsessions.
Just the ghostly trio trying to juggle ghost attacks and secrets while the family dynamic becomes more and more strained as the other two show their more callous sides more and more often in front of the kids while Vlad’s away fighting ghosts (and maybe trying to work on getting his own job to build up savings just in case) and unknowingly alienating themselves from their children.
(Feel free to run with this if anyone wants, I doubt I’ll get around to writing it)

Danny Fenton died in his parents’ basement due to a malfunctioning ghost portal. His friends and family wept, the town was appropriately shocked. What was left of his body was buried and time moved on. Then the ghosts started attacking Amity Park all except for one. The whole of Amity Park took one look at Phantom and knew he was young Danny Fenton come home. He wasn’t violent or mindless like the other ghosts instead doing his best to keep the attacks at bay. He hated ghosts while he lived but his death was filled with nothing but battles. Amity took it’s tragic, dead superhero to heart and did their best to honor him.
The Fenton’s had been under legal investigation for the accident by the time Phantom and the other ghosts were spotted. Jazz had already been removed from their custody and placed in a foster family across town. She refused to speak to them for a long, long time but eventually was able to come to a bitter, unhappy understanding about where it all went wrong. Jack and Maddie floated in a fugue in the weeks following the accident. They were forced back into action by the ghost attacks and Maddie almost passed out on the spot when she first noticed her son’s ghost. They wanted to quit the hunting but Amity was being overrun so they had no choice. They decided this was their penance for their obsession and ignorance, to see their baby so close and yet so out of reach. They start by avoiding him altogether but it simply wasn’t possible so they did their best to support him, helping with the ghosts and never, ever shooting at him.
Phantom did and didn’t remember his human life. Death via ectoplasmic electrocution made him a stable, powerful ghost but it helped preserve bits of himself too. Most of the time, he was a cocky, playful superhero but then in slow moments, he’d do something that was just so Danny that it break everyone’s hearts to see him. He turns to the name Danny, even if he doesn’t know why. When the married ghost hunters accidentally leveled their weapons at him, his nonexistent heart would squeeze. Sometimes he would freeze midbattle and ask himself what was happening, why wasn’t he in class? where were Sam and Tuck? His sister would kill him if she saw him out doing this. The moment would pass and he’d be Phantom once more.
The last person Dash beat up had been Fenton and he remained the last, he never laid a violent hand on another student again. Instead he focused on better anger management and giving the weaker kids someone to reach out to. Tucker threw himself into ghost research, learning everything and helping the Fenton’s tinker with their devices (not weapons, he never touched those) it made him feel like he was helping his friend. Sam was involved for a while too but the guilt of the accident and the stress of seeing Danny’s ghost eventually became too much, she had a mental break and the Manson’s left Amity Park for good. Jazz was the one who made an effort to get through to Danny, with some successes but it never lasted long and it caused her so much pain that once she graduated she also left Amity for a college far, far away from dead brothers who look at her like she’s stranger. Danny hadn’t been important before his death but his tragic loss and his perseverance in death inspired everyone in town to be better.
When things get really slow, more often during the Christmas Truce, Danny Fenton could be seen again. Sometimes he’s seen walking through the hallways of Casper High, looking for a locker that’s been long since reassigned. He’s spotted hanging outside the Nasty Burger, waiting for his best friends to show up and join him. He ghosts through his kitchen, looking for food he can’t eat like he’s just another teenager with the munchies. He never looks quite right, his features are ill-proportioned, his feet don’t always touch the ground and there’s a faint glow about him. The omnipresent feeling of death and chill alerts everyone that Danny Fenton is back, for a short time. But then, midmotion he’ll stop and the color will bleach from his hair and the hazmat suit he died in will come back into focus.
“What am I doing?” He’ll ask quietly, rare clarity in his tone, “I’m dead, I don’t belong here.” He’d fade away but never for long. Someone would spot Phantom grappling with some ghost, back to his obsession of keeping his town safe. But they never stop seeing the bright eyed boy in their ghostly hero and that makes it so much more sad. Great heroes are eulogized and remembered but it’s not Phantom’s name that is whispered with reverence over the years and decades. Its the quiet boy who wasn’t appreciated until it was too late.

the ultimate enemy,,, is having trauma with super powers.
I’ve got a steaming hot and spicy dp x spn crossover idea here. it's TUE plot adjacent (but Jazz survives because not enough Jazz in spn crossovers. let her be blunt to the Winchester brothers guys common, she'd totally call 'em out at some point come on)
(yeah but listen, makes no sense that Danny didn't end up in aunt Alicia's custody, legally speaking. so at first i was thinking of a TUE au that diverges from that where he does end up with Aunt Alicia. then someone said "Danny in a flannel vibes" (paraphrasing) and my brain went like: "..... flannels,,,,,,,,, spn crossover vibes........") anyway
- details below the cut -
so basically, Jazz still gets hurt and Danny's with her whenever he can get away with it while she's recovering. (they're all each other got now). and Aunt alicia gets them set up at her house. (first Danny temporarily, then once Jazz is released from hospital, they both move in fully)
Vlad:
- moved to the Fentons home to keep an eye on their portal so it doesn't get taken by the government or something. he's left in a house with remnants of a family he wanted to steal and now it's all gone and he's left gradually working through regrettings and griefs. - Danny initially leaves all his NASA memorabilia there because he's not much in the headspace to care about any of it. but Vlad sends his telescope over. the action being appreciated, maybe more than Danny wants to accept, or more so ever admit to Vlad.
Aunt Alicia (Walker):
notices Danny's kinda "weird" in a supernatural way in the time during Jazz's hospitalization and after. (only so many frozen, glowing, or chard bits of wood one goes through before it's really suspicious.) - (and one exploded tree) Alicia: "how'd that happen? couldn't have been lightning, sky's clear" Danny: "idk, cosmic happenstance i guess" Alicia: "..... alright i guess" - Anyway so they end up taking a trip to visit a good friend of hers that she visits thrice a year (it's bobby singer, they're best friends because i said so) and there's no way she's leaving mentally and emotionally unstable teens at her house when she wants to go - (gonna figure out what's up with Danny. most likely ghost related, but she don't know how. wants to talk it over with bobby to see what he thinks. if Danny's just hiding ghostly powers from “ecto-contamination” or something then that's whatever. but if he's being hurt by these abilities, or if it isn't that at all, she'd like to know. but not letting Danny know she's onto him, having an emotionally unstable traumatized depressed teen get flighty is a terrible idea.)
Jazz:
Danny almost lost her too, on top of his best friends being gone. and her overprotective sibling vibes would skyrocket but Danny's also would so what happens is they're really attached at the hip for a few months. eventually graduating to being on either sides of a room without making either of them nervous. (if one leaves a room tho then there's a little more anxiety until they get back. - Jazz gets lost into studying again, even more than before unless danny needs attention from her. what ends up happening is they're leaning on each other or are generally in each others presence while she studies. Jazz implores danny to get a hobby, or maybe get back into stars and things. he's not really up to much tho, doing chores or errands for aunt Alicia keeps him busy whenever she gives him something to do. - (when Danny first started living with Alicia, she figured chopping wood was good enough therapy for now) - - the first night they settle in (they share a room, but they're clingy enough that it works), Jazz tells Danny she knows. about him and the ghost powers. about it all. and wanted to wait for him to come to her,,, but... and Danny clings to her and they both cry a bit. (a lot) - Jazz suspects Alicia might be onto them but since Alicia hasn't done anything then Jazz will wait until Alicia being onto them feels actually risky.
The Killing Event:
- making it a gas leak explosion instead of a nasty sauce explosion is what I'm going with. (to make it hurt more, them being there to celebrate Danny acing a test rather than talk about him possibly cheating is a thing i can and am doing) - Lancer also survives the event this time. he was Jazz's ride there probably. Lancer is very close to how his students are doing academically, he'd want to congratulate Danny too.) He keeps in touch with Danny through aunt Alicia, as do tuckers parents. - (Sam's parents connect with tuckers parents about it more than with Alicia. they don't blame Danny because that would be cruel, he's just a kid. but they're just less connected to him in general. they knew him as Sam's problem friend before.)
And That’s It! (like, for interacting with the Winchester brothers (+an angel) I've just got a vague sense of shenanigans and Danny hating Crowley.) (I think I’ll put other fun ideas I like putting in spn crossovers. like Danny kinda seeing Castiel’s wings past his vessel. and Cas being able to tell Danny’s soul is attached to his body like it’s supposed to be,,,,, but in a super weird way. think “what the soul doin?” but in the voice of (”what the dog doin?”)) (on Danny hating Crowley, in this i feel like all Crowley would have to do is show up and Danny has animosity at first sight. at first vibe presence)

not to make another legit au but what if. what if. what if ghosts were a known and accepted phenomenon from the beginning? the giw, instead of being a shady mib-ripoff that can’t do their jobs, are a known and trusted(?) government agency that take care of ghost problems.
the fentons, however, are still outcasts among scientists because, in this au, they actually are the only people who dont say that ghosts are just unfeeling monsters. They build the portal in the hopes of making a more diplomatic contact with the ghost zone, against the giw’s explicit orders. they don’t tell their children, and make arrangements for them to go to vlad in case they get caught because they are Reasonable And Responsible(TM) in this au and they don’t want to drag their kids into their potential problems.
vlad is also Good in this au, having trusted his oldest closest friends with his secret half-ghost status after an accident. jack and maddie have worked very hard to keep him safe from the giw, to make sure that they never find out about the possibility of a half-ghost, half-human hybrid.
danny and jazz, much like in canon, think their parents are embarrassing and kind of wish they would shut up, but they aren’t allowed in the lab under any circumstances, so they don’t really know what exactly their parents are working on at any given moment. then sam and tucker, driven by teenage hubris, dare danny into the lab, and into the portal. none of them realize how dangerous it is until he turns it on and starts screaming.
maddie and jack come rushing downstairs and see danny fall out of the portal, freshly half-ghostified. after so much time studying vlad to make sure he was stable and healthy, they can recognize the difference between a half and a full ghost at a glance so they quickly explain what happened to a terrified sam and tucker, who think they’ve killed their best friend, and a nearly catatonic danny, who thinks he’s a ghost.
for a moment, everything looks like its going to be ok.
for a moment.
but the surge in ecto-energy set off the giw alarms, and they rush over to fenton-works just as danny figures out how to turn back into his human form.
maddie and jack don’t wait for the giw to pull their ecto-guns before they hit them with some of their own, souped-up, homemade bazookas. the two agents are unconscious, but more are certainly on their way. they don’t have time to wait; they don’t have time to find jazz or explain what they’re doing to the kids. they grab danny, sam, and tucker, and toss them all in the specter speeder with them, running away into the ghost zone.
jazz is left alone, forcibly taken into custody by the giw who don’t believe that she knew nothing about her parents’ plans. the fentons can’t let sam and tucker go home because the giw will come after them, too. they must survive, alone, going in and out of the ghost zone, with vlad trying desperately on the outside to get jazz out and find his friends...

Aunt Alicia Didn’t Prevent The Apocalypse
Hello, @phandom-phriend! Here’s your Christmas Truce gift! I hope you like it :3
Word Count: 2680
Summary: When there is an explosion at the Nasty Burger, killing almost her entire family, Aunt Alicia handles it.
It took a good week for Alicia to hear the news. It took only one more for her bags to be packed, the plans laid out, and her trusty lawyer to be prepared for a call just in case. Then she was in Amity Park, for the first time in years and years, only it was not for any good reason.
The first thing she did after checking into her hotel had been to drive herself to the funeral.
There were so few people in attendance, it was… Stunning, to say the least. But Alicia hadn't known her sister to have many friends, and Jack even less… regardless she thought at least a few would arrive. Maybe even some family, from Jack's side of course. And the little she had talked to her nephew during the arrangement, made it seem he knew people that she hadn't, and that Jazz would have some people coming for her side of things.
There was practically no one. No one there to comfort her nephew while she hadn't been there for him, no one to make sure he wasn't blaming himself for it all. Hell. His entire support network had been wiped out in one go. He needed people who cared. Who would share in his grief.
Alicia was too busy during the service to do any of the comforting. She doubted she even could. She lacked the gentle touch her sister had learned when dealing with children, and she was a mite too rough to handle a kid who witnessed the death this one had.
Poor kid.
After the service, she made an attempt to talk to him about the custody matter. She doubted the courts would allow it, given her record, but she did want to keep an eye on him. She doubted he'd be happy in the woods she loved, but she'd be willing to move wherever he wanted within reason. She had the money. You marry a businessman, you get money. If you live off your own land, you get to keep it. She could afford whatever Danny needed, if he asked.
She knew of a godfather existing. The dick hadn't shown up to the funeral, but she knew he existed. She was told he lived in Wisconsin, was a high n’ mighty CEO of multiple corporations. A single rich billionaire who lived in a mansion no one visited, who was more likely than not gonna be a terrible influence on a hurt kid. But he'd have more of a legal claim on Danny than her.
She'd already lost a child, the courts were not likely to give her another. Even if she promised to move out from the woods.
But Danny's choice was all that mattered for her. If he wanted her to, she'd fight tooth and nail for him. She'd tear the world apart to help the last remaining family she had left, if he wanted her to.
Alicia was not good at affection. She was not good at showing she cared. She was stubborn, aggressive, and she'd been hurt in her life. She was not the person Danny needed, who would be endlessly understanding and gentle. She was one of the only options he had.
So after the service was over she asked him. Did he want to live with her, wherever he wanted to go, or did he want to go with his godfather. Originally he had been confused. He had a godfather? He had a choice? She explained what she knew, and he only seemed to grow more confused. Said he'd met the man, but hadn't known he was his godfather. Said he'd have to think on it more.
Alicia knew it meant he wouldn't pick her. It wasn’t a surprise when she was proven right. (She was practically a stranger, to Danny. The few times they’d interacted she was sure didn’t leave any semblance of a good impression.)
The legal processes after a death were lengthy, at least when Alicia had to work with Masters. After the courts had said he'd get custody of Danny, he had "helpfully" decided to put his nose in the work Alicia was doing for the inheritance. Not that it was all too confusing for her to handle; everything was being left to Danny, if she had anything to say about it. One would think the man who'd be caring for the child would agree, but you'd be surprised.
In addition, any time she wished to talk to her nephew she'd first have to undergo a sort of interrogation from Masters, about what she wanted to see her nephew for, or she was simply turned away from the door without another word. She had never seen the Fenton house so dark, and empty, and cold, as she had the month after their deaths. She couldn't imagine any reason Danny would want to stay cooped up in there, especially not on his own, but Masters kept her out and she had no standing if she decided she didn't like being kept out like she was.
So if she wanted to ask if Danny wanted any of his inheritance readily accessible, or what if anything he wanted sold, or if he wanted the FentonWorks business to be given to Masters or if he wanted to shut it down, any of that sort of stuff was impossible for her to get answers for. Masters thought he could try to play a game of telephone with her, telling her what Danny wanted for Danny, often without asking, but Masters was a stupid bastard if he thought she'd let a businessman speak for her nephew.
So between attempts to contact Danny before he moved to Wisconsin with Masters, Alicia instead focused on her own personal project.
After learning the parents of Danny's late friends we're not planning on letting him attend their funerals, because the bastards blamed him for the deaths that day like immature pricks, Alicia had worked out a deal to allow him to attend without being harassed. If he wanted to, anyhow. That was another thing Alicia had yet to ask him. But giving him the choice was important to her. So she had agreed to the deal.
She was going to foot the bill for a statue the Manson's had planned, to honor their dead daughter, and the Foley's were going to have their son part of the statue as well.
Of course, if they were getting their statue of their losses, Alicia was going to get a statue of hers. (She was not going to lie and say that adding the Fentons to the statue was one of the things she was doing for Danny. She was doing her best to make this loss easy on him, but she knew a lot of her best was neglecting her own grief. If she was going to be forced to commission a damn statue for his sake, she might as well kill two birds with one stone by adding in elements for her sake. The funerals were going to happen before even the statues pedestals were done, let alone the statues themselves, so if the assholes who blamed her nephew didn't like it they'd be too late to do anything about it.)
So the project was the oversight of the clearing of the Nasty Burger explosion site, and the construction of the pedestal and base for the statues. Thanks to the richer Manson folk, and even Masters after Alicia told the bastard what she was doing the thing for, the statue's plans and location had been legally settled right in time for construction to begin.
The first few days of it were normal. Just Alicia, the hired construction men, and the occasional terrible reminder of what they were cleaning up as a chunk of metal covered in dried brown markings passed by her eyes and was tossed into the dump truck.
It was the eighth day, she thinks, when she started seeing the ghost.
The ghost was familiar. She had chatted with Maddie about a ghost matching this one's description, the last anniversary of Alicia's divorce, between moments of frustration as she tried to tell her sister that leaving a man too stupid for her was a positive. (Alicia. Regretted, that. Not that Alicia was a woman who regretted many things, but. Her last memories of her sister were of getting a nice divorce anniversary party, after being what many would describe as an ass simply because Maddie loved her husband more than he was stupid. Not everything that works for Alicia works for others. Hadn't Maddie said that? At least something like it, surely.)
Snowy white hair. Black suit. Green eyes, but she couldn't say they were glowing. If they had at one point, they didn't now. Looking incredibly familiar, a face she was reluctant to place because she didn't know what it could mean. But matching Maddie's description anyways.
He sat, just far enough away from the site that he was out of the way, but close enough that Alicia could see the tremors wracking his body, and the slight shine on his cheeks.
Ghost or no, that was first and foremost a kid. A kid who looked mighty like another kid Alicia knew. And even if the familiarity was only surface level and coincidental, she could use the practice. Practice comforting someone, she meant. But it took a few more days of the ghost appearing for her to actually approach, as caution overruled empathy.
"You look a mite troubled, there." She said, hands in her pocket as she approached the figure. It didn't move, hardly acknowledging her. Perhaps it didn't think she was talking to it. "I'd ask what's wrong, but I reckon I already could guess." She crouched down, reaching out to touch the specter on the shoulder, but it was quick to scoot itself out of reach, though she took that to mean that now it acknowledged her. Good. A start.
"Wh-?" It stopped before it could really start talking back. Alicia took that as her queue to keep going.
"My apologies. Jus' saw a kid needin' help, but I can leave you be if you really want." She said, and the ghost started to shake it's head vigorously. "Then I'll be glad t' listen to your troubles, kiddo."
"Um, but why?" It said. "I'm not a kid. I'm a ghost."
"You sure don't look a day over twelve, ghost or no." Alicia pretended not to find the responding scowl humorous. Just another small thing, proof it was just a child.
"I'm fourteen." The ghost said. Alicia held back her response. This ghost really was familiar, wasn't it.
"Well, then. Fourteen. Certainly, much much older." Alicia snorted, shaking her head. "No, no, I wasn't here to rag on ya. What's the matter? I doubt your eyes we're shinin' cause the cleanup is so beautiful." The ghost, who had for a moment been distracted from the sight, immediately turned back to it, and a very dreary expression bloomed on its face.
"'s my fault." The ghost mumbled, almost so quiet Alicia didn't hear. It pulled its tail up to its chest and wrapped its arms around it, resting its chin on them. Not once losing sight of the remains of the Nasty Burger.
"Now I really doubt that." A week in the town had told Alicia that the Phantom ghostie Maddie so despised was revered as the town hero. While Alicia was of the opinion that most city folk were brainless sheep, she had never bought the idea Maddie got from Jack that all ghosts and similar sort were evil. If they were, then that meant all people were evil, because ghosts came from the dead. Alicia was pessimistic at the baseline, but she'd got nothing but kindness from the neighbors when the worst had happened to her and everyone else was blaming her for it. She couldn't believe they'd turn out any different had they died. So believing this ghost could be a town hero was nothing of a stretch.
"I did, though." The ghost whined, a sound bordering on animalistic, a clear distress call. Alicia wondered if another ghost would come to answer. "I had a fight, here, days before the explosion. I was the one who damaged the vat, and caused it. I even-" The words broke off into another whine, louder and sadder than before. Tears ran down the ghosts face, tinted green and glowing.
"Now you couldn't have known what would happen." Alicia said, but the ghost didn't react. "And I bet it wasn't a fight you started." The ghost still didn't respond. "Honestly, you and my nephew. Kids always blame themselves for things out of their control." She sighed, shaking her head. This got a reaction out of the ghost, a small flinch, that if Alicia hadn't been paying close attention to and trying to see she would have missed.
"Danny’s a good kid. I don't know why he blames himself, but I know it wasn't his fault. I may not know you, but I feel it's the same for you." Alicia said, and she paused. Would it be bad to continue? The ghost was only looking more and more upset, especially now that she mentioned her nephew.
"It's not the same for me." The ghost eventually said, after a minute of indecision. "If it's not… not your nephews fault, then it has to be mine." The ghost said.
Alicia frowned. That was a stupid way to reason this. There was no one at fault for this, except maybe the people who decided a Nasty Burger must be prepped to self destruct at any moment.
She would have said so, too, if the ghost hadn't've disappeared as soon as her mouth opened.
After that, the ghost kept appearing. To watch the clearing process, and to watch Alicia. But any time she'd try to get close to talk to the other again, it'd disappear. It was a touch frustrating, but nothing to be done. She wasn't gonna go chasing ghosties. That was never and will never be her place.
She was generally spending less time at the site after that, too, which was another factor in not talking to the ghost any more. Danny had finally started to answer the door instead of Masters, and Alicia was better able to talk to him. While he started to avoid questions any time it got around to how he was feeling, he didn't seem too off. Or, not really any more off than he would be after what happened.
He attended his friends' funerals, and said that no one gave him a hard time. He worked out what he wanted to keep, and what he wanted to get rid of. He wanted to keep the building, and keep FentonWorks. Masters would keep track of it until Danny was older, of course, but Alicia was fine with Danny's decision.
He came with her only once to watch the site clearing, to watch the last batch of shrapnel and debris be hauled away, leaving only the broken shell and sign of the old building. When Alicia explained that they weren't planning on rebuilding at the moment, Danny didn't seem to care. After that it was time for him to leave, to meet Masters at his new home.
Masters had left a week before, looking troubled, but putting on a show of ease when Alicia approached to ask why he was leaving Danny behind. He had a lot to prepare, was his excuse. Bullshit. But Danny had been fine with it. Said he even asked the man to. So Alicia, though it made her unhappy a great deal, left it alone.
Alicia took one last month in Amity to settle affairs, to see the completion of the statue, and to rest flowers at each of her family's graves (yes, even Jacks). The time during which she didn't see the ghost again, to her disappointment.
Then she left and went back to her home in Spittoon, Arkansas. Alone.

While the news had reached some of Casper High before it, the anguished scream on Monday morning was really what signaled everyone knowing.
Almost everyone in the hall spun to Paulina as she collapsed to the ground in a wailing fit.
“What’s wrong with her?” Dash asked Star, who was standing over her friend looking horrified.
“Mi-mi amor!” Paulina sobbed, waving Star’s phone around. “My Phantom! He’s dead!”
“Well, he is a ghost. Wasn’t that a given?” Kwan chuckled and Paulina threw the phone at his head.
“What’s going on?” Dash asked Star again.
“The-the Fentons. They released a report last night. It’s all over the news. They… They teamed up with that huntress chick with the flying board and caught Phantom on Friday afternoon. He-he-”
“They killed him!” Paulina hissed. “They destroyed my love! My Phantom!”
More horrified shrieks rang out and people dug through their pockets and bags for their phones.
Dash snatched up Star’s and started looking over the article that was pulled up. Kwan wrapped his arm around Star and his girlfriend buried her face in his chest. Valerie hid her smirk in her locker. Mikey ran off, his hand over his mouth. Sam and Tucker stared at the A-listers for a solid minute before turning to their friend.
Danny, having been the only one who hadn’t turned to Paulina, was putting his English book into his bag and closing his locker.
“Danny?” his friends said.
The words echoed through the near-silent hall and Dash’s head snapped up.
“Fentoni!” he growled, marching up to the trio. “What the hell is this? This better be your parents making crap up again!”
Danny ignored him as he turned to leave.
The jock grabbed for him, but Valerie pulled him back. “Leave him alone, Baxter. It’s not on him that your crush got vaporized.”
“Of course you’re protecting him,” Star snapped. “You’ve hated Phantom since day one. I bet you’re happy he’s gone!”
“Yeah, I am. Good riddance! That ghoul will never bother us again.”
“Phantom is a hero!” Paulina spat.
“He was a monster,” Valerie shot back.
Dash spun on Danny, only to find Manson and Foley alone. “Where’d Fenton go?”
The two were shocked to see their friend had disappeared so Dash pushed past them and ran for Lancer’s classroom, the rest of the class following on his heels.
When they reached the door, Lancer was passing Danny a paper with a sigh. “This better be real.”
He nodded with a smile and tucked the paper into his backpack. He tried to go to his desk, but Dash intercepted him, grabbing him by the front of his shirt.
“Mr. Baxter!” Lancer snapped, jumping to his feet.
“We’ve got questions so you better start talking.” When Danny just stared blankly at him, he gave the smaller boy a shake. “Talk.”
“He can’t,” Lancer said, grabbing Dash’s arm. “Mr. Fenton suffered an injury to his lungs over the weekend and is currently unable to talk. Now set him down.”
Dash huffed and set him down roughly as the bell rang. “This isn’t over, Fenton.”
“What is this all about?” Lancer asked.
“His parents killed Phantom,” Nathan said, pointing at the boy as he took his seat.
Danny rolled his eyes and took out his phone.
“You think murder’s funny, freak?” Star spat.
“That’s enough. This is neither the time nor place,” Lancer said shakily, but he was ignored as everyone started yelling.
“Who’s going to protect Amity now?
“It’s not murder, he’s a ghost!”
“How can you even sleep? Isn’t your parents' lab in your house?”
“I bet you helped them, didn’t you!”
It went on for a few minutes before an air horn sounded. The class ducked their heads and clapped their hands over their ears. They turned to see Danny smiling smugly at them. As soon as he released the trigger, he held up his phone.
“You’re all complete and utter morons. Can we start class now?” a robotic voice stated.
Lancer cleared his throat. “Yes, while the insult was hardly necessary, Mr. Fenton is right. All of you, to your seats.”
They followed orders, but most of the students continued to glare at Danny throughout both the class and the days to come. Valerie tried to stick by him, but Sam and Tucker both glared her off while Danny ignored her at every turn.
Sam and Tucker tried to talk to him, but all he would tell them was that he was fine. That Frostbite had looked him over and gave him the all-clear and he’d already talked everything out with Jazz.
He didn’t tell them that she was heading back to Amity, having easily convinced her teachers to let her finish the semester online since she was already so far ahead in class. That she and Vlad -- of all people -- had teamed up to get Jazz custody of Danny. That his parents hadn’t even noticed the papers Vlad had slipped them to sign, too excited about their latest victory.
Probably for the best. Jazz had plenty of reasons lined up for why she was taking custody, but the longer it took for their parents to notice, the harder it would be for them to fight it.
He didn’t find any of that nearly as important as the fact that his friends kept saying his parents nearly killed him while his classmates kept saying they had done it.
Nor as morbidly hilarious.
His parents had done a lot to him, but killing had never been on the examination table.
Ha, dissection pun. See, morbidly hilarious.
As it were, everything came to a head at lunch on Wednesday when a white-black-green blur shot through the ceiling and smashed a cafeteria table.
The students stared at the table, half-tempted to run in fear and half-tempted to get closer in hope.
That had been a very familiar blur.
Then the ghost popped it’s head up and both fear and hope were replaced by confusion. The ghost girl’s hair was white like Phantom’s, but her bangs hung even more into her face by virtue of being chin length and the rest was pulled into a braid that nearly reached her waist. She had Phantom’s face, but her figure was distinctly feminine and she looked like she would have been a head shorter than the ghost boy. Instead of a suit, she wore a white hoodie dress with green melting letters spelling Boo! on the front and a black Phantom logo patch on the shoulder. Underneath she wore black leggings and white boots.
She gave them all an awkward smile and rubbed the back of her neck. “Uh, sorry about that. I can’t always control my flight when I’m sleepy.”
“Phantom?” Paulina asked.
“Uh, kinda,” the ghost chuckled. “I’m Dani, er, Danielle that is. Danielle Phantom. Danny’s my cousin.”
“Ghosts can have cousins?” someone said as the popular girl ran over to hug Dani, tears in her eyes.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry for your loss!”
“Loss?” Dani asked, phasing through the other girl’s grip and floating up so she couldn’t get grabbed again.
“You haven’t heard?” Dash asked. “The Fenton’s they, uh…”
“Oh, yeah, I heard about that. It’s why I’m here. I wanted to see how Danny’s doing after all that.”
There was silence. No one knew how to tell her.
Finally, Valerie took a step forward. “Dani -”
“Nope,” the ghost girl cut over her as she slowly spun around, eyes taking in the cafeteria. She smiled and said, “Well, if you guys see my cousin, let him know I’m looking for him.”
“You’re not going to find him,” Star said. “He… He’s dead.”
Dani frowned and turned to her. “Uh, duh, has been for two years or so. What’s your point?”
“No, I meant he’s gone. The Fenton’s destroyed him.”
The ghost girl stared blankly at her, then looked around at the others. “What?”
“It’s true,” Kwan said.
“You… You all think the Fenton’s killed Danny?”
There were nods from all around, barring one table.
Dani laughed. “Wow, you’re all complete and utter morons.” She dug into her hoodie pocket and pulled out a phone. “I’ve got to text Youngblood about this. Man, humans are wild.”
“I think she’s in denial,” Mikey said and a few of the other nerds nodded.
“I’m not in denial. You're all just stupid.” She put her phone away and looked them over again. “Right, I guess I’ll have to do this since someone in this room clearly has decided to keep his mouth shut. Probably because the situation is hilarious. Normally I’d go along with it, but I’m guessing if you’re all convinced, then the Fenton’s are too and I’m not about to give them that satisfaction.
“Alright, do any of you even know what a ghost is?” she pointed at Valerie when she tried to answer. “And I’m not talking to you because you’ve proven you’re a bigger idiot than most.”
“They’re creatures made of ectoplasm?” a jock offered.
“Well yeah, but that goes for anyone from the ghost zone. I’m saying a ghost specifically.”
“Wait, not everything in the ghost zone is a ghost?” Valerie asked.
“I thought I already told you not to talk,” Dani said. “Come on, no one knows what a ghost is?”
“Manifestations of ectoplasmic energy and post-human consciousness,” Sam said sarcastically.
“In simpler terms,” Dani snorted. “Come on, basic dictionary definition people.”
“Ghost, noun, the soul of a dead person believed to be an inhabitant of the unseen world or to appear to the living in bodily likeness,” Nathan said.
“Yes, thank you, a ghost is a dead person, obviously,” Dani said, clapping.
“Everyone knows that. What’s your point?” a cheerleader asked.
Dani rolled her eyes. “My point is: how on earth do you people expect to kill someone twice? Danny died two years ago. He literally can’t get any deader.”
“But you can destroy a ghost,” Valerie said.
“Uh, no, you can’t. Like I said, stupid.”
“The Fenton’s have destroyed plenty of ghosts before,” the secret ghost hunter growled.
“Correction, they’ve destroyed entities. Very different. Entities are living creatures, just ones made of ectoplasm. They’re basically the ghost zone’s version of humans and animals. And since they’re living, they can die. Unless they have a stable tie to a ghost, like myself. Then it gets weird with technicalities and can be entirely different for every entity. I really don’t have the time or patience to explain exactly how killable I am. Just know that I’m a living creature, but ghosts like my cousin are dead, and therefore immune to death via having already been there and done that.”
“The Fenton’s report said they vaporized Phantom,” Mikey said.
“Well, yeah, I’m sure the Fentons destroyed all his ectoplasm, the fu-uh-udging jerks, but that’s not going to destroy a ghost. They might manifest within the zone or human world through the use of ectoplasm, but their consciousness exists in a plane of existence within the zone that can’t be touched. If a ghost’s ectoplasm is destroyed, they’ll simply reform within their lair. Might take a day or two depending on how strong they are, but they’ll be back to full power soon enough.”
“So mi armor is alright,” Paulina gasped, clutching her chest and Dani mouthed mi amor. “Why has he not shown himself? Is he so strong that he’s taking longer?”
“Actually, the stronger a ghost is, the faster they reform. Danny probably didn’t take a day. No, if he knows what’s going on -- and I’m sure he does -- then he’s probably sitting back enjoying the show. He’s probably got plenty of Quit telling everyone I’m dead jokes lined up for the next time he’s spotted. I know I would and the two of us are crazy similar. Also, it’s common courtesy to leave a ghost’s haunt alone for a few days if they have to reform, so he likely hasn’t had a reason to show up.”
“How could none of the ghost hunters know you can’t kill a ghost?” someone asked.
Dani raised an eyebrow. “Have you met the Fentons? They're some of the best hunters in the world and they don’t know the difference between an entity and a ghost. The parents at least. Their kids are smart enough to have actually asked a ghost how any of this works.”
Many turned to look at Danny, only to see the boy resting his chin in his hand and looking entirely too pleased with the proceedings.
Mr. Lancer’s first-period class suddenly remembered a similarly smug Danny calling them all idiots the same way Dani had and knew he’d be laughing at them if he could make a sound.
“If entities are living creatures, then the hunters really have been murdering people?” Star asked.
“Eh, not as far as I’m aware. Sapient entities don’t really like being in this world any more than you like being in the zone. Everything just feels off, unsettling, unnatural. Entities tied to ghosts don’t have that problem since ghosts bridge the gap, but again, we tend to be unkillable in our own rights. So really the entities that hunters usually end up with are the non-sapient kind that accidentally stumbled through a portal and couldn’t find their way back. So it’s less murder and more animal abuse.”
“Is the ghost you’re tied to Phantom?” Paulina asked.
“Yeah. I’m also tied to my dad, but I’ve been working at cutting that tie.”
“Why would you want to cut ties with your dad?” Kwan asked.
“Because he tried to kill me.”
The bell rang before anyone could react.
“Well, that’s my cue to leave. Tell Phantom I’m here if you see him. Also, tell him to stop hiding like a jerk and just get the jokes over with.” Dani waved goodbye then flew back up through the roof.
Dash turned on Danny as soon as she was gone. “You could have told us Phantom wasn’t dead, Fentina!”
Danny blinked innocently and made an X over his throat.
“You know what I mean!”
He smirked and typed into his text to speech app.
“And lose Phantom his chance to make a Quit telling everyone I’m dead joke? Never.”
With that, he stood up and left the room, his friends chasing after him.
“Danny Fenton, you jerk, get back here and explain all that!” Sam shouted as they slipped through the doors.
The news spread quickly from the school. While the Fentons waved it off as nonsense, other haters were less sure and the rest watched the skies with hope.
It wasn’t until Friday that Phantom finally showed his face.
At first, people weren’t even sure the ghost that had shown up alongside Dani to fight Technus was even Phantom.
The ghost was covered in short white fur and had curling horns that seemed to be made of ice. His face was blank except for a single pure green eye on the right side of his face, which had black markings trailing from it like he’d been crying tar. His chest was caved in, like his ribs were smashed in.
Or removed.
Then people noticed the way the silver hair on his head was in Phantom’s style, though his bangs fell to his chin like Dani’s. They noticed that the ragged black pants he wore were the torn remains of his suit. They noticed the Phantom logo on the gear-shaped pendant necklace hanging from his neck.
He was completely silent, which fueled the idea he wasn’t Phantom, though he often made gestures that ticked off Technus while making Dani laugh.
Several people called out to the Phantoms when the fight was over.
Dani glanced at Danny, who shrugged, then they came down near the ground.
Lance Thunder was the first to reach them alongside his cameraman and asked the obvious question, “Are you really Phantom?”
Danny’s eye squinted with amusement and Dani smirked.
“Yes,” she said. “I am Phantom. Dani Phantom. With an I.”
Danny nudged her, shoulders shaking and she gestured towards him.
“And this is my brother. Also Danny Phantom, but with a y. Clearly the inferior spelling.”
He wrapped his arm around her neck and dug his knuckles into the top of her head.
“I, uh,” Lance glanced between them. “We had heard that you were cousins.”
“Nah, we changed our minds,” she said, squirming away. “We’re siblings now.”
“If he’s Phantom why does he look like that?” someone from the crowd shouted.
Danny made a few gestures and Dani shushed him.
“That reference isn't as funny if I say it for you.”
“What’d he say?” Lance asked.
Danny gestured her forward and she sighed.
She threw her hands up and announced, “He’s been twaumatized!”
He doubled over with silent laughter and she rolled her eyes.
“It’s not that funny, you dork,” she huffed and shoved him hard enough to send him spinning. “Also, Sissy is going to have another conversation with us about using humor as a coping mechanism if you keep it up.”
“Can you explain?” Lance said.
“We can, the question is should we?” Dani asked Danny, who shrugged and made a few signals. “Yeah, alright. So a ghost’s form is modeled after their mental state. Trauma alters a person’s mental state. Therefore, trauma alters a ghost’s form. Danny went through some trauma a week ago, hence he now looks like our yeti friends with some Clockwork thrown in for good measure.”
He nodded and thumbed one of the watches lining his left forearm.
“It’s not that unusual. Ghosts change all the time. Technus did it awhile back. It’s usually not this drastic, but hey, it’s not every day a ghost wakes up to find themself on an examination table with their chest carved out like a pumpkin.”
Rubbing his chest, Danny shrugged. He made a few gestures.
“Is that sign language?” Lance asked.
“Eh, kind of,” she said, making a so-so motion. “The Ghost Zone has a universal language. Not all ectoplasmic beings can speak it, but all of them can understand it. Since he already knew it and can no longer speak, his body is naturally translating it into sign language. I still hear it as if he were speaking English though. Which is nice because it means I don’t actually have to see him to get what he’s saying, but I have absolutely no idea how it even works. He is learning ASL though.”
“Why can he not speak? Does it have to do with not believing he has a voice after the trauma he went through?” a woman shouted from the crowd.
The Phantom’s blinked at her, then turned to each other.
“Sissy would like this one,” Dani said before facing the crowd and setting her hand on his chest. “Lady, he’s got no lungs. No lungs mean no breathing. No breathing means no talking. It ain’t that deep.”
The song “Spooky Scary Skeletons” started playing and Dani pulled a phone out of her pocket. She answered the call with, “The better Phantom speaking… Oh, hey, Sissy.” After a second she pulled the phone away slightly and gave Danny a look. “Sissy’s watching the broadcast and I was right, she’s not happy about the traumatized joke.”
Danny made a few gestures.
“I’m not telling her that. You can tell her when we get home.” She put the phone back to her ear. “Yeah… Okay, we’ll be right there. Bye, love you.”
As she put the phone away, someone asked, “Was that your sister? How many family members do you have?”
“Yeah, she’s our older sister. It’s just the three of us since we kicked our parents out for filicidal reasons. Clockwork’s kind of Danny’s weird legal guardian/grandfather/guardian angel/court-appointed babysitter/thing, but he refuses to be called grandpa and won’t freeze time for Sissy and I so we can take naps like he does for Danny so I don’t know if he counts. Anyways, we’ve got to go now. Bye!”
Danny waved and the two flew off.
“Freeze time?” someone said.
“Their parents tried to kill them? That’s what filicidal means right? What the heck?” someone else added.
“Did she insinuate yeti are real?” a third muttered.
With that, the crowd began to disperse, groups discussing the events as a city-hired work crew pulled up in trucks to clean up after the fight.
Just another day in Amity Park, a nice place to live.

Hello! If your taking prompts, could you do one where Danny both loses his memory about his family and friends and gets brainwashed by the guys in white that he's a full ghost, then released back into amity park with some faint idea of some connection, but not sure what. Thank you!
I take prompts within reason

The dust began to fully settle, and the agent squinted through the mask. He tried to pick out that familiar form in the dust, that was trying to fly away as it always did. Escaping justice, but he saw nothing as smoke began to cloud the skies.
“There!” his partner cried out, and he pointed to a limp figure. The ghost they had been hunting, the town menace that began all of this, laid over a bit of rubble, motionless.
The agent kicked up dust of his own, scrambling to get to the ghost. He could hear his partner following suit, and they rushed towards a ghost that made absolutely no movements. They both, nearly in unison, skidded to a halt right before they could touch him. A flash of light had interrupted their actions. Hearts racing, they watched as this light blinded both of them. By the time it faded, almost as quickly as it had come, they were left looking at...a boy.
Neither made any movements to do anything, and Phantom (?) made no movements either. The agent hesitantly reached out to grab a handful of black hair that was slowly becoming caked in blood, so very different than the white hair of their target. He lifted his head up, bending over a bit to get a look at the face. The resemblance to Phantom was arguable. Paler, but if given a good hair bleaching, this could be Phantom.
Slowly, his other hand lightly patted the boy’s cheek. Bright green eyes opened halfway, staring up at him in confusion. Unmistakable green eyes that glowed like a ghost’s, like Phantom. They dropped closed, only to snap open once more. Bright blue eyes, looking more like a pair he’d see on a fellow agent, were now looking at him. Confused, scared, dazed.
“Sir, did you see that?” his partner’s voice was audible. The boy’s eyes closed fully once more. The agent spared a glance at the other agent. He was nodding with one hand pressed to his headset, listening to what their boss was telling him. “Yes, sir...Right away, sir...No, sir...We’ll be there shortly, sir.” He gestured to the teenager. “Pack him up. The boss wants to bring him in for questioning.”
The agent carefully let go of the hair. The boy’s head hung still, and the only audible noise from him was pained, labored breathing. His partner had gone to fetch their vehicle while he stood guard. And before anybody seemed to notice, before most of Amity Park could truly recover from the attack, they had loaded up the mysterious teenager and were already gone.
123456789
His name was Daniel James Fenton. A background check revealed that he was a seventeen year old student at Casper High. The youngest in a family of four, son of Madeline Anne Walker and Jack Harrison Fenton and a brother to Jasmine Elizabeth Fenton.
He had no criminal record that they could find, though he reportedly got into trouble often at school. Minor things, mostly tardiness and poor grades. A few fights and one instance of pulling a fire alarm. Nothing comparable to the criminal rap sheet of Danny Phantom.
It was the longest rap sheet any agent had seen, literally pages and pages long. Thousands of charges for attempted murder, attempted arson, arson, attempted kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, and more. Their file on Phantom was surprisingly long, but it was a file that had been compiled over the years by the observant eyes of a select few agents who had studied footage and that elusive ghost for years.
But that flash of light changed everything they thought they knew about Danny Phantom. An entire file that had blanks had odd answers that filled in. However, those answers couldn’t come from Phantom.
“So am I supposed to just believe that you happen to not remember anything about who you are?” Agent B voiced his skepticism to the teenager who had since been changed into a GIW prisoner’s uniform, a pure white loose jumpsuit accompanied by a standard anti-ghost collar around the neck and wrists.
This teen, nobody knew what or how to refer to him at this point, just stared at him with wide, scared eyes. He shifted in his seat, leaning his elbows on the wooden table that separate them, moving his hands a bit as he spoke.
“I-I don’t know what you want from me?” he croaked. He sniffled a bit, and he almost looked like he might cry. Agent B had to admit that the kid seemed to be a good actor, but it was bullshit. He wasn’t fully sure of this situation, but Phantom was always a sly and manipulative ghost. Always one step ahead. Not this time. “I told you what I know.”
“No, you haven’t,” Agent B spoke harshly. “Who are you, and what are you doing in Amity Park?”
“I don’t know who I am!” the teen exclaimed. “I can barely remember what Amity Park is! I think I live there? Or...like family lives there? But I don’t know their names.”
“You’re lying to me,” Agent B accused him. The waterworks truly began, but that never worked on Agent B. It was hard to really feel sorry for a ghost that hurt so many people through selfish actions.
“No, I’m not!” The teen put up a pathetic act. The tears were actually a good sign, in Agent B’s opinion. It meant that the ghost was possibly at their breaking point. “Don’t I get a phone call? I’m supposed to have the right to a lawyer too.”
Agent B stared coldly at him.
“No. Those rights don’t apply to ghosts.”
He stared at the agent, absolutely shocked at that statement. He said nothing, and Agent B stood up.
“Take him back,” Agent B ordered. “Let’s give him another few days in solitary.”
The teen didn’t even utter a word as he was escorted out. Soon as he left, a woman slipped into the room. Unlike the other agents, she wasn’t in a suit, but rather a plan white t-shirt and white jeans, with black shoes and a white lab coat.
“Anything?” she asked. Agent B shook his head. “You know, amnesia can last months, even years.” Agent B knew that look in her eye, exactly what she was leading up to asking him.
“If he doesn’t remember anything by Friday, you can have him Monday for experiments,” he promised her.
Her eyes shined happily.
“You have no idea what kind of scientific discoveries that boy has hidden in him,” she told him. Agent B simply shrugged.
123456789
“Release him?” the scientist looked crestfallen at the news. “But there’s so much more to discover, so many more experiments, he has so much information he could tell us!”
“We can’t afford to keep him in custody much longer,” Agent B told her firmly. “People are starting to question where Phantom is. Of course, Fenton too. It won’t take long before people become suspicious and begin to investigate.”
The scientist frowned. In the six months of captivity, she had learned so much. Phantom was this odd human-ghost hybrid. How this happened, she nor her team could determine, other than that this was a recent event and not a natural state for him. The ghost’s continued lack of memory could provide little clues. She had been hoping to spark his memory, in the pursuit of getting some possible hints or theories. But she’d only get a blank stare.
“He’ll say something,” she argued. “Reveal everything. I know, legally, we didn’t violate any laws or anything. He’s a ghost. But that town thinks he’s a hero. It’ll cause a media outrage.”
“I know,” Agent B replied with a sigh. “We may just put him down and keep a close eye on him to ensure his memory doesn’t return, but it also may not really matter. It’s very doubtful that he told anybody about this. He couldn’t have, especially his parents. Had his parents known, well...you know the Fentons. They’d have experimented on him themselves. Fenton will eventually be classified as a runaway. But Phantom’s too well known to disappear forever.”
“We can’t kill him,” she told him almost immediately. “I want to do more experiments later. Everything will change if he dies fully. There’s just too much more to learn.
And that look in her eye returned as she gave him a hopeful smile. Agent B raised an eyebrow at her.
“What are you thinking?” he asked.
“He’s already lost so much of his memory,” she began. “What if he...just simply forgot that he had a human half?”
The agent paused as he thought carefully.
“Let’s discuss it with the higher ups, and see how they feel,” he replied.
Their request was granted.
123456789
Phantom stared nervously at the agents that watched him with suspicious eyes. He took a few cautious steps forward in fluffy snow. More was falling thickly, gathering quickly on the ground and on the trees of the woods that they had brought him too. The ghost glanced around, before turning to look at the agents.
They didn’t stop him. They made no movements to draw their weapons. The pair just...watched.
He took this chance, and he shot off into the sky, as fast as he could. No sounds of blasters firing after him, no shouting, only silence and agents that blended into the snow. While his memories of his experience were limited, they were horrifying, and yet they simply let him...leave.
Whatever. He wasn’t going to question that much, but he was already asking himself where he was supposed to...go.
Phantom tried to grasp for his memories for anything of use. Anything that didn’t involve his time there, that could be a place he could go to, a person he could find. What he could remember was so shaky at best.
He saw a town in the distance, the city lights glowing faintly despite the heavy snowfall. Perhaps figuring out where he was, what the date was, was a good start.
123456789
There was something wrong with stealing, he absolutely knew that much. But he, of course as a ghost, had no money, and he also knew that he couldn’t walk anywhere without drawing attention. So with a heavy heart, he stole a pair of jeans, a sweatshirt and a beanie hat from a department store before walking along the streets.
Judging by all the signs of the city and what he could find, he was in a town called Lakewood, within Washington state. Phantom didn’t know how he knew, but he knew that this was not where he was from, and that he was very, very far from where he was meant to be.
He now stood in a gas station, trying to figure out what candy he was going to, sadly, end up stealing. Phantom hated it, hated it, hated it. But maybe he just needed to eat something, to jog his memory, to understand what he had to do. There was something in his gut, telling him that he was missing something, something critical and important about him.
His attention went to a display of free brochures, and he absentmindedly read through them. One caught his eye.
Amity Park: America’s Most Haunted City! Visit Today!
The headline hit him in the gut. Despite ghosts not needing to breathe, he grabbed the brochure, ripping it open to immediately see his own face staring back at him. One of the town’s main attractions, the famous ghostly superhero Danny Phantom.
Amity Park was his home. The memories of saving the town flooded him, and he began to openly cry. That was his purpose. Helping others. Protecting them. That town...that town was home.
“Uh, kid?” the clerk asked, obviously confused. “Are you alright?”
Phantom didn’t answer him. He phased out of his stolen attire, earning a surprised shriek from the worker and the other customers. He ignored them all, and he flew through the ceiling as fast as he could for Amity Park, Illinois.
123456789
He arrived some time later, still clutching tightly onto that brochure. The second he was within the city limits, there was an instant sense of self. His memories were not failing him. This was home. This was where he was meant to be, and these were the people he had sworn to protect and care for.
Why? Phantom couldn’t tell you a true reason why. It just was what he knew he did. The paper in his hands proved it.
No sooner than he arrived was he able to get straight back to work, as there was a ghost attacking the city.

Danny Phantom x Sam Manson (divorced) Kiddo: Alexandra Fenton
She belong to @sarasanddollar
Personality
She’s super bubbly and energetic and had no idea her dad was a hero. Alexandra is more likely, to like, try and make friends with ghosts first. Unlike her dad who was more fight first ask questions later because she wants to help them move on or whatever. But when it comes down to a fight she’s Strong!!!
Background: Danny and Sam wouldn’t get along long term because they couldn’t agree on how to raise a their child and Danny’s always off doing hero stuff and getting in danger. There’s a bit of a custody battle too, because Sam wants something different for her daughter than Danny does, and she thinks he’s dangerous for her to be around, etc. After Alexandra Fenton got transported to New Earth, and separated from her parents, she is free from family problems, and could do whatever she wants. The whereabout of Danny Phantom and Sam Manson are unknown, and it is unknown if Alexandra miss them and of she ever going to find them.
Powers:
Intangibility
Invisibility

Superhuman Durability
Superhuman Stamina
Superhuman Stamina
Superhuman Agility
Superhuman Reflexes
Overshadowing
Ecto-Energy Powers
Ghost Sense
Ghostly Wail
Enemies: Ghosts, some of Danny’s old villains, and Primavera Isley
Relationship:
Persephone Isley: They’d be friend. Powered girl to another powered girl, and it’s not like she’s a villain or anything, Alexandra hardly ever gets into conflict.
Isabel Lee: Do not get along. When Dahlia recruit Alexander to Asteria and Isabel and they both accept, Alexandra refuse to have Isabel join the Asteria and tell Dahalia all the bad things she does as a bully. Her relationship with Isabel is similar to Danny with Dash. Plus having a bully join is a hero group is bad idea and hero group have zero tolerant in bullying, as the result, Dahlia choose Alexander over Isabel. What she do not know that Isabel had been helping Alexandra hunted down ghosts back at Amityville, Old Earth by giving clues just like DC Oracle but using her journalist skills. But since she didn’t know, she does thinks Isabel will never changes.
Dahlia Utonium: Even though Alexander and Isabel joined Asteria, Dahalia choose Alexandra over her because she is Danny Phantom’s kid who have a carbon copy of his powers. Since Dahlia knew a few heroes of Old Earth and do not tolerant with bullies. So they get along as friends as Alexandra, and consider one of the valuable members of Asteria.
Damon Foley: When she was young and before her parents got divorced, Damon and Alexandra were childhood friends. They hanged out at the arcade or the comic book shop, but they stop hanging out when Damon said he is moving because her father got a job (from another Earth), and just like that he disappeared from her life after that, which made her life lonely. She often checked to see if he sent her any letters in the mailbox or check her phone, but there is no calls or letters. After the fall of Old Earth, and Alexandra’s first day of going to school, Megalìa she and Damon are reunited because she encountered Damon’s dad, Tucker Foley who apparently worked for Megalìa as a Computer Science Teacher, and was shock that she learned that The Foley were moving to another Earth, not a country which explained why Damon did not send any letters or calls. Alexandra asked Damon, Tucker, and Valerie if they know where her parents are, sadly they do not know which made Alexandra hopeless and sad. Alexandra moved put of the apartment for Old Earthians and now living with the Foley Family in Townsville. They are still hanging out whether they have free time since Alexandra go to Megalìa and worked for Asteria while Damon attend X high school with Carol.
Primavera Isley: Alexandra’s (first and possibly only) archnemesis after her arrival to New Earth. Primavera despise both Tucker Foley and Danny Phantom after what he did to her father (Danny defeated him and Tucker killed him when Undergrowth was powerless and a grass), and exact revenge upon Damon and Alexandra. Primavera become more antagonism when she found put that Alexandra befriends Persephone. Alexandra do not want to fight her, she just want to talk things out with her, and hoping to be her friends as well. However Primavera do not buy this and denied the friendship, and swore to eliminated her and Persephone once and for all.
Carol Baxter: Damon’s friend, Alexandra was shocked that Carol is Dash Baxter’s daughter. She thought Dash was dead or something. They quickly became friends because since she is Damon's friend, she is too.
Magnus and Jade Lucitor: If Alexandra ever befriends her, she would be an honorary knight of the Lucitor Kingdom, raising popularity and a positive outlook in her career as a hero.
Fact: The ice powers skipped on her, which Primavera take advantage of in defeating her.
Carol, Persephone, Primavera, Damon, Magnus, and Jade belong to @cooltmoney95

Oh, look!  Another chapter of my pic phight phic, Collateral! @charcoalhawk
.
Chapter 6
.
Outsiders would have thought the gathering very strange.  Dozens of ghosts, including several of those who routinely terrorized Amity Park.  Four teenagers.  A billionaire.  All crammed into a sitting room decorated in layers of chintzy Halloween decorations.
It was the middle of summer.
“The bullet was just coated in anti-ghost stuff?” repeated Jazz. “It was otherwise a normal bullet?  You're sure.”
“Of course I'm sure,” said Vlad, sneering.  The rest of the room shifted, and the hostility left a heavy tasted on Jazz's tongue.
This was just one of Vlad's duplicates.  He was in protective police custody on the other side of town.  Attacking him would do no good, but several of the ghosts felt like he was trying to take advantage of Danny's injury, like he was using this as an excuse to put himself in a position of power over them, to start trying subtle strings of control.  There had been a whisper, early on, about allowing the assassin to finish his job, before they punished them.
It had been quickly shut down, but the resentment had lingered.
“Okay,” said Jazz.  “I can get a list of people FentonWorks sold that kind of stuff to, and you can get the lists from your companies, right?”
“Yes,” said Vlad, flicking a bit of glitter off his sleeve.
“Great,” said Jazz.  She scanned the crowd of ghosts.  “You've got Danny's description and the police sketch they got from the office workers. But he might have been using a disguise,” she cautioned, “so check first.  We don't want to hurt someone who wasn't involved.”
The weaker ghosts bobbed eagerly.  The better formed ones were more reserved with their approval.  Danny 'enemies' (Jazz was tempted to call them 'frenemies' at this point) just glared at her.
“Do try to get some information before you turn him over to the police, too,” said Vlad.  He smiled nastily.  “The man is likely just a contractor, after all.  I think we want the person who hired him as well.”
One of the Amity Park residents tilted back her head and laughed, showing off a second smile cut into her throat.  The laughter cut of without warning, then another ghost, in a deep and broken voice, said, “We've been haunts since before you were born.  We'll manage.”
If she had thought Danny's voice had been chilling...
.
.
.
Jazz, Sam, and Tucker, jogged down the steps, bidding farewell to the Webs as the ghosts flew out of the house at all angles.
“Do you think they'll really turn the guy over to the police?” asked Tucker.
“Not a chance,” said Jazz.
“Do we care?” said Sam, a distinct snap in her voice.
Jazz thought about it for a minute.  “Not really,” she turned towards FentonWorks.  “Come on, we've got to get those files.”
“Do your parents really have anti-ghost weapon coatings that can poison Danny?” asked Sam.
“God, you have no idea.”
.
.
.
“Are we really going to hand this guy over to the human police?” complained Youngblood.  He was wearing a sharp suit, and having trouble deciding whether or not to be a detective or a secret agent.
Ember scoffed.  “Not a chance,” she said.
“Not a chance, what?” demanded Skulker, bristling.
“Not a chance that this guy'll get away, that's what,” said Ember.  She had abandoned the attempt to act as a go-between for Youngblood and the older ghosts a while ago.
“Of course not!” said Skulker.  “He has the Ghost Zone's greatest hunter on his tail.  He won't last a day!”
.
.
.
Vlad rolled his eyes once more as he flew away, angling himself towards his home and his underground lab.  After all the... excitement of the day (he refused to call it emotional upheaval, or admit that he was emotionally exhausted), he could only maintain one duplicate.  His machines should have finished analyzing the composition of the bullet's coating by now, which would tell him whether or not the coating had been one of Axion Labs, VladCo, or Dalv's products. Personally, he doubted it.  He didn't sell things that could be used against him.
Still, it might help narrow down which of the Fenton's products it had been. Assuming the oaf hadn't just thrown together a bunch of chemicals, shaken it up, and given it away with no record to speak of.  It would be just like him.  The man had no business sense.
It was also possible, though highly unlikely, that the coating could have been produced by another company, or even made by the assassin himself.  That would complicate things.  For one thing, if the coating had been acquired from one of their companies, the assassin would have a limited supply.  If they made their own, on the other hand...
Vlad sighed.  He couldn't imagine why a spectrologist or occultist would try to kill him, especially one who was actually competent.  He funded a most of them, for goodness' sake.  He'd even thrown a grant or two in FentonWorks' direction.
The assassination attempt had to be related to money, though.  Most likely one of his businesses.  His will left his fortune to Daniel, although no one but his lawyer knew it, and he hadn't given anyone else a reason to think that he'd leave anything to them.  Perhaps control of a business was the motivation.  That's what the police were looking into.
Revenge, he admitted, was another motivation.  Although Vlad hadn't, as Daniel and his friends sometimes assumed, ever used his powers to force someone to sell a business to him, or to steal outright.  The most he was guilty of was extreme corporate espionage and insider trading.  Which, he supposed, was bad enough.  It was possible that someone from his early, clumsy days had put things together.
He phased down through his mansion, coming to rest in his secret laboratory.  The light on the machine was blinking green.  He smiled, pleased to finally get to some kind of an answer, and strode to it. He pressed a button, and the results appeared on the screen.  He read them.  Reread them.  Frowned.
“That can't be right.”
.
.
.
Jazz and Sam rifled through boxes of paper files as Tucker searched the Fentons' computer system.
“Why do your parents have so many ghost poisons?” asked Sam.
“Do I really need to answer that?  Most of them don't work, anyway.”
“I found invoices!”  said Tucker.  “Most of them, are, um, to people like the Groovy Gang and the GIW, though.  I don't really think that those guys would try to assassinate Vlad like that.  The GIW could just arrest him, after all.”
“Print it out anyway,” said Jazz.
“Okay,” said Tucker.  “Hey, uhm.  You said you talked to Danny.”
“Yes,” said Jazz, clipping the end of the word.  “I told you what he said.”  She hoped that would end this thread of conversation.  She didn't want to talk about it.  She was having enough trouble keeping things together.
“Yeah, but how did he, you know, seem?  How was he?”
Jazz's hands stilled.  “He was...  not good,” she admitted.  Her eyes hurt.  “He's scared.  He looked scared.”
They fell silent.  All three knew that Danny was often scared, but he rarely showed it.
“Hey,” said Sam, frowning at a sheet of paper, “this isn't an invoice, or a sales record, but I think you should take a look at this.”
Jazz and Tucker peered over Sam's shoulders.  “Your parents are crazy,” said Tucker.
“I agree,” said Jazz.  She paused.  “In their defense, they don't know about Danny, or they probably would be more, uh, cautious.”
“If you say so,” said Sam, clearly dubious.  “Anyway, this is the right kind of thing, I think.”
“Yeah,” agreed Jazz.  “I think you're right.”
“But do you really think it's one of them?” asked Tucker.  “None of these guys has any reason to try to kill Vlad.”
“That we know of,” corrected Sam.  “I don't even know who half of these people are.”
“That's not quite true,” said Jazz, slowly.  She brought a finger up to rest on one name.  “We all know who this is, and he definitely has a reason to dislike Vlad.”
“Oh,” said Tucker.  “Yeah, I guess I could see that, but how would he know that Vlad's a ghost?”
“Well, he's not an idiot,” said Sam.  “And I think he was supposed to have some mafia connections or something like that.  According to my parents, anyway.”  She shrugged, demonstrating her lack of confidence in that particular source.
“It still might not be him,” cautioned Jazz.  She licked her lower lip. “We didn't really talk about this before, but do you think that we should go to the police before, you know...”
“Relying on vigilante ghost justice?” said Sam, raising an eyebrow.
Jazz nodded.
“No.”
Jazz nodded again.  “Good,” she said, after a moment.

So hey, Pikachu. it's actually been a long time since I've actually seen an episode of Danny Phantom, they don't even show it on Nicktoons anymore! So I'm a little unaware of what's going on in the Danny phandom. Who's Dan Phantom (evil dan), Dani phantom (young girl dan), and where did they all come from?
Oh! Well I’ll explain! Under the cut because I have a long explanation but I really like both characters. Prepare for the info-dump!
Tumblr media
Dan Phantom/Dark Danny
He only made one appearance and that was in the movie, “The Ultimate Enemy”. Dan Phandom is an evil supervillain version of Danny.
In that movie, Danny, Sam and Tucker have to take a Career Aptitude Test (Abbreviated CAT). It is basically a test that decides your future, where if you fail, you could end up working at the Nasty Burger (Their equivalent of McDonalds). Danny actually ends up with the answer sheet after a scuffle with a ghost as a test from another ghost (Clockwork). The sauce there is highly combustible and one of the heaters is stuck next to it and no one notices. It’s more of a morality decision but if he does cheat, he becomes Dan Phantom/Dark Danny 10 years later.
Dan Phantom is the result of Danny cheating, as Mr. Lancer notices that the answer sheet is missing and suspects Danny took it. Mr. Lancer calls him and his parents, Jazz as well, to the Nasty Burger as a visual example of Danny’s future. Sam and Tucker try to warn them of the impeding explosion from the overheated sauce but are unsuccessful as the Nasty Burger blows up.
A young Dan is the sole survivor and is taken into Vlad Master’s custody. Vlad does feel bad for the grief-stricken Dan and complies to his one wish, to make the pain go away. So Vlad, using the ghost gauntlets, rips his human half from his ghost half in an attempt to get rid of his emotions. He is successful until the ghost half of Dan rips Vlad’s human half from his ghost half and attempts to overshadow Vlad Plasmius. Only the evil inside him overpowered Dan, merging the two together. This results in Dan Phantom/Dark Danny, who kills Dan’s human half and flies off to destroy humanity for 10 years. And that’s who you see in the picture above, Dan Phantom.
Now that’s his origin story out of the way, now for the other one.
Tumblr media
Dani Phantom/Dani Fenton
She has made a few appearances, but her first one was in “Kindred Spirits.” Her other major appearance was, “D-Stabilized.” She is a young clone of Danny Phantom.
Vlad actually has a part in this again, he wanted to create a clone of Danny, someone he could call a son. But all of his attempts were failing, all the other clones had something wrong with them in their DNA that would result in them melting. I know there were at least 4 other clones besides Danielle.
The only one who could keep it together was Danielle, who is like a younger girl Danny. She honestly thought Vlad loved her like a father would but he was just using her to get the missing part of Danny’s DNA he needed. (I believe it was the morphing DNA).
Dani helped Vlad capture Danny and they tried to copy the DNA into another clone. It wasn’t until Vlad yelled at her that she realized that he was just using her to get to Danny. So they worked together and took Vlad down. Her and Danny have a big brother-little sister bond, it’s kinda cute.
She also got to meet Valerie in the other episode, where she needed her DNA to be stabilized, as she was on the verge of melting away. So yeah, Dani is basically is a younger clone version of Danny who is female.
I hope both these explanations helped clear things up!
