started wondering why lg imprinted on og!cxs enough to go back and save him. came to the conclusion that cxs's impulsiveness in helping people would be a pretty good candidate given it's one of his key chara traits. and idk how likely it is at this stage so don't want to delve too deeply into it but the implications compel me so much.
lg imprinting on cxs directly mirroring ltc imprinting on lx. someone being cool because of how they just go for it as something to be admired. the way that lg's rules are basically aimed at stamping out cxs's intentions to interfere massively to help others. at what point do you change the person you're trying to save so much that they become unrecognisable. at what point do you change yourself in service of an aim until you're the antithesis of what you once admired.
#I'm playing around in a sandbox here and I recognise that cxs still helps but in small ways rather than large interferences#but the idea that those big actions are what drew lg to cxs in the first place + to save him he tries to stamp out those aspects#also tbh I do still think cxs is still pretty similar to og cxs but I think lg himself is implied to have changed a lot#all the comments about him being mature for his age etc. his past self must seem so young now.#my other idea about lg imprinting is the whole 'simple kindness' deal. where cxs reached out to a loner lg and he's thankful#could be both or either or sth different but I do think it links to cxs's key chara traits bc what else makes sense#link click#link click spoilers#also: ltc choosing to leave the past behind at the end of s2 as lg commits to his path of preserving cxs's life#shiguang daili ren spoilers

its not like. infuriating stupid. but i still think the twist that tyler stone only drugged miguel with something that simulated the effects of rapture and not the real thing is so dumb, like. it adds nothing, it doesn’t change anything about miguel’s origin as an initially unwilling, engineered spiderman, stone is exactly the kind of asshole to “flesh of my flesh, therefore mine to control, mine to discard” his son with a real drug addiction anyways, the writing choice retroactively makes shit like him turning up to miguel’s house with rapture dose 2 really weird because like. is that also a placebo. its just dumb and serves to make miguel feel awful about something that wouldn’t have affected his transformation anyways because that occured due to outside interference.

#Flatline (OC)#they're both mainly about GHOST but the undertones. Especially the second one#I think Flatline is one of those people who buys into the Perfect Autobot image about Optimus. Just a bit#Flatline hates/hated Autobots and Optimus is their leader. So he recieves Flatline's scrunity (projection) maybe more than anyone#everything has smoothed over a little in Earthspark but Flatline still doesnt trust him. You have to do a lot to earn his trust#which sucks a little because I love Optimus ahdkshdk#and with Megatron everything went tits-up between him and Flatline#He respected Megs but never liked him per se. Not in a friendly way#He was a warlord. He made Flatline choose between the Cons or dying to the elements.#He lied to Flatline about Shockwave dying in the space bridge explosion and stopped Flatline from checking the rubble#so their relationship now is 'I only followed you out of self-preservation and I no longer want anything to do with you'#playing a fucked up game of Barbies with these alien robots ahdksjd

Thinking about that "If K*ylo R*n were a woman everything would be better and this character would have worked" post, but after some consideration...I genuinely would have still hated this character.
Like...Idk maybe there's something to be said for the still-subversive nature of characters like this being allowed to be horrible women, but I don't hate this character because he's horrible, or even because he exemplifies a bunch of things in fiction I'm tired of seeing, I hate him because he doesn't feel fully-formed as a character to me and I don't think the movies know what they're trying to accomplish with him from a narrative standpoint (which are, imo, the biggest Story Sins a writer can commit). All of which would still hold true if this character were a woman.
#I WILL say. this character wouldn't be as popular as they are (and they ARE popular. fandom is not just limited to pockets of tumblr) if#they were a woman. nor would The Popular Ship be r*ylo. that's not me scaremongering about misogyny that's just. true.#we have SEEN that be true again and again and again#the OTHER thing about this character is that...I feel like he was MEANT to come across as#'he's so tortured and pained and complicated' but then they never did anything to SHOW ME THAT COMPLEXITY#if I look at like...(idk using another Tortured Male Character Who Did Bad Things) Theon. someone’s gotta explain to me where this idea that if sasha was the archivist shit wouldn’t have gone down the way it did came from because a creepy monster man that’s been stalking her all day tells her to come talk to it in a deserted building and she IMMEDIATELY said ok, and then later on immediately said ok to meet the monster at a cemetery and then OUT LOUD said the reason she doesn’t want to quit the institute is because she’s too curious, sasha as the archivist would have been less neurotic than jon, sure, but she still would have the same fundamental drives that propelled his story (and jonah’s plan) so starting today i better not hear any more jon slander about how he sucks and sasha would have done a better job because it’s pretty clear that, while the details might have changed, they’re the ones who would have made the same choices as each other

Kiriko’s confrontation with Dr. Yamane
Yamane’s role in the story is small but VERY impactful
And this scene in particular has something especially chilling about it. Yamane is a member of the Friend’s inner circle and happily doing his thing.
The moment his eyes are opened to what he has done and what his work will lead to in the future…
He runs
#20th century boys#he does not become a member of the resistance#and ultimately his goal is more self preservation than fighting back#but there is just something about that moment of awakening and disillusionment with his Friend that I really love#Yamane upon learning what is really happening does not choose to proceed with the plan#it’s also a great scene for Kiriko who has been in the shadows the whole time#and revealing exactly how she was involved with the Friends and what her plans are#I also just like the contrast between her and Yamane#both are horrified with their work was for but she chooses to fight while he flees

One time M'khaya startled Alabaster and got a bad burn while he tried to heat up the hot spring with fire magic, and didn't learn a thing. He just thinks the fire magic is cool, he doesn't have the braincells to get the dangers despite being warned about it.

i saw someone on reddit mention this and wanted to see it for myself, so here it is. if you initiate a romance with astarion, but then later pursue someone else, he'll almost always be catty about it, imply that you have poor taste for choosing someone else over him, and will reject any offer of polyamory on the grounds of either personal standards (ew, you want him to be in a love triangle with who?) or self-preservation (he ain't fighting lae'zel for your ass lmao).
but if his rival-in-question is karlach...
he tells you that he hopes you'll be a comfort to her and turns down your offer of seeing him on the side because he doesn't want her to get hurt :`)
meanwhile, if you put karlach in the same situation (start out romancing her, then pursue astarion), she'll also start out quite sweet...
and then quickly devolve into (affectionately) taking the piss out of astarion for stealing her partner 😁

More Yuu facts [ ONE / TWO ] <- not mine
They've been good friends with Heartslabyul ever since Book 1.
They're forgiving/don't hold any bad blood with the people who've overblotted (at least on the outside).
According to the Harveston event, they can play the flute.
They don't like mentioning that they might return to their world (Deuce's Wishing Star vignette).
Many people consider them a "goody-two-shoes" (Leona, Ruggie).
A good listener.
Based on Malleus' interactions with them, Yuu talks to him a lot more off-screen as he states that he values their opinions.
Loves Grim to hell and back.
It's implied that Yuu invites Malleus over frequently enough that he visits unprompted.
They can be snarky and brutally honest when they're pushed into it.
Comes up with stupid plans that nobody believes will work but it somehow does.
They're insecure about not having any magic.
They want to be able to help their friends.
Has a sense of self-preservation.
Does not actively seek out danger (*cough* om mc *cough*).
They've cleaned up Ramshackle since living there, however, it still looks "abandoned & ancient" on the outside.
Crowley doesn't give them more money than "needed".

Both Jamil and Silver seem to think that Yuu is somewhat weird/strange.

The audience doesn't really see anyone helping them out with their situation, so I assume they fix most of their problems themselves.
They don't have any memories of the Great Seven before coming to Twisted Wonderland.
Fluctuates between being observant and not noticing really basic stuff.
Doesn't hesitate to say cheesy things.
Keeps calm in harsh situations.
They know how to play a blowing horn (White Rabbit Event).

It's implied that they have high stamina.

They recommend a few books to Sebek, implying that they read in their free time.

Crowley mumbles that Yuu looks effeminate.
They're a bit of a romantic since they seem to often ask about love stories/fairy tales (Epel & Jade chats).
They have a habit of poking, tugging, tickling and just touching people in general. This is proven through the Home Screen character interactions.
Their love language seems to be physical touch.
They get scared easily but is bad at scaring others (Halloween voice lines).
Vil notes that their uniform is baggy.
Malleus says that Yuu has gotten better at dancing (Masquerade Event).
It's implied that Yuu is good/decent at cooking since they have to make meals for both themself and Grim every day.
Yuu is decent at basketball (Ace Halloween).
Deuce remarks about a tiny piece of furniture in Ramshackle and asks if it's for Grim, meaning Yuu makes small furniture for him.
They're a good photographer.
Takes part in photography competitions (Rook Port Fest).
It's implied that Yuu carries their ghost camera everywhere because Crowley constantly makes them record events.
It's said that the game cards are actual photos that Yuu took with the ghost camera. [I don't know if this is true but a lot of people have said so]
Most, if not all the characters tell Yuu to hurry up when choosing a class, which suggests that they're indecisive.
Ace, Deuce and Cater tell Yuu to relax during classes or else they'll run out of energy.
Jack says that he got tips from Yuu while he was working in Monstro Lounge, implying that Yuu might've worked in customer service before (Book 3).
According to Grim, they have a hard time saying no to people, but when they absolutely need to-- they're very serious and a bit intimidating. "You're a real sap sometimes, you know that? Then again, when you bare your teeth it's no joke."
While they won't say no to helping others, they prefer to keep to themselves and avoid drama.
Yuu is sometimes a bit distrustful of Ace and thinks he's tricking them if he offers to do anything nice (2024 Player Birthday Greetings).
It doesn't take much to make them happy. (Deuce & Idia 2024 Player Birthday Greetings).
They became nervous when Riddle invited them to a salon for their birthday. Riddle response saying "I'll be right there with you, and will instruct you in etiquette every step of the way."
They're competitive in class-- at least when it comes to Jack (2024 Player Birthday Greetings).
They took chess lessons to try and beat Leona in a match (2024 Player Birthday Greetings).
For their birthday, Yuu asks Azul to get something that's supposedly hard for an average collector to acquire.
They're surprised when Kalim gifts them a pop-up card for their birthday.
They own a pair of fingerless gloves (gifted by Epel).
They personally invited Vil over for their birthday party and made sure to have healthy food options for him.
Not very close with Idia.
Owns a glass tumbler that reads 'Happy Birthday!' (gifted by Ortho).
Lilia gives them a CD with his screamo performances.
They were gifted so many presents on their birthday that they had trouble carrying the gifts around. (Malleus 2024 Player Birthday Greetings).
