I find it very interesting that Voldemort is often described with a soft tone of voice or with soft, delicate movements. I believe that this further emphasizes his being a Lord also and, above all, in his ways. He is elegant, calm and charming by nature, an excellent conversationalist (for example I think of the Goblet of Fire when he talks to Harry before the Death Eaters arrive). He's not a madman (at least not a total madman) like he appears in some scenes in the films and I really regret that they forced Raplh to play him this way, because he is phenomenal at playing calm but terrifying villains.

I'm 100% sure Voldemort groomed Bellatrix.

Of course it might have been just a crush at the beginning on Bellatrix's part but I know Voldemort would milk anything to control his followers esp if one is talented in dark arts and duelling.

I love Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange but I had always imagined book Bellatrix looking like Nicole Kidman from Moulin Rouge.

In the books she was described as tall, classically beautiful, ruthless and obsessive.

Movie Bellatrix looked more of a cruel lunatic from Asylum. I know azkaban would have a toll on her beauty but I think magic and potions can fix that.

While Book one was aristocratic, proud , regal, cunning.

I'm not saying Bellatrix is graceful but she is a proper pureblood lady .
