tbh, i'm not really all that invested in the love lives of the younger kids lmao (except im rooting for lumax bc i love them).

to preface my answer, i think both are cute in their own ways and both have their goods and bads, and i'm not here to promote one over the other or trash one over the other.

that being said, i would probably pick byler. it'd be cool to see an actual canon gay ship in a mainstream show like stranger things, and like it'd be nice to see will happy and finally get something he wants yknow? plus i'm team mike wheeler is a whole ass bisexual who just has not yet Realized and has been Repressing a great deal. it has been a hot minute since i've watched the endings (and by hot minute i mean a couple of months bc i did my big rewatch before s4 lol). but like i think i gotta go with the s1 ending. the first season is just Classic yknow? it starts off strong and it sets up the rest well.

(honorable mention to s3 ending tho bc the battle of star court IS fun to watch)

Hey pal! I love this question because yes, most of my fics have some sort of personal twist to them.

I've got concussion induced hearing loss like Steve does in Nice & Quiet. I played college ball like Steve does in I Could've Sworn I Saw Fireworks. The first ever 5 & 1 I wrote for this fandom was a catharsis about how me and my significant other learned about each other & the way we love.

You can probably learn a lot about me through my work, actually.

Dustin is my child. He was my “favorite” child in season 1 and that has mostly continued. He’s kind of tied with Max now. Did he have a little bit of an ugly attitude toward Steve this season? Yes. I didn’t like that at all, but I’ve given him a little bit of a pass there. It fits into the “I’m a genius and everyone else is not” archetype, but I think that’s mostly the Duffers speaking through him because they still want to see Steve as a popular rich guy idiot since he’s not a nerdy hero, but I digress. His contributions to the fight should be more appreciated. He’ll get them out of more situations for sure.

My favorite headcanon for him is that his dad is gone (dead, left, just distant, any work) and that’s why he idolizes Steve and Eddie so much.

And I’m not going to try to diagnose anyone today, but he’s definitely not neurotypical.

Hahaha, this one is awesome because the music on that playlist is all over the place from writing and whatnot. I cracked up when Drive Me, Crazy by Orville Peck popped up, though. I love it because I saw him live at Coachella, which was a - fucking amazing & b - one of the craziest concert experiences to this day (& I was at Coachella, y'all). Dude wears this crazily intricate mask that covers his mouth, but when he sings, he blows it away so his lips can reach the microphone. Fucking nuts, man.

But back to the song - he introduced this fucking song by talking about how truck stops were the like what Grindr is now. Come to find out, the whole song is about gay truck driver romance. His outfit already had me - that explanation made me an undying fan.
