he's got her wrists pinned above her head and an animalistic grin he can't control.

kuroo's got his knees on either side of her hips, digging into the too-soft mattress below them and keeping her firmly in place. she tries to keep her eyes narrowed in defiance but she cannot stop her mouth from twisting into a smile.

"say it," kuroo demands, leaning in closer to her and hyper-aware of the way she's started to squirm under him.

always the rebel, she turns her head to the side to avoid his stare and says, "i would rather die."

the turn of her head gives him an opening, and kuroo dips down to lightly nibble at the skin of her neck. she yelps, and wiggles. "say it," he asks again, leaning back up to get a good look at her.

"why do you wanna hear it so bad? i've already said it once, that should be enough."

kuroo rolls his eyes. "you're always so difficult. can you just humor me for once? c'mon. just this one time, for me."

she sighs, and for a moment, she jerks at her wrists to try and break them free from his grasp. but it's futile. kuroo knows this and she knows it. she looks up at him, trying her best to seem annoyed. "you're my boyfriend," she admits.

he grins like a maniac. "i just love hearing you say it. one more time?" kuroo presses.

"if you don't let me up, i'm going to knee you in the balls, i swear to god," she threatens, half-heartedly, and it's hard for kuroo to take it seriously when laughter laces her words.

he leans down and catches her lips in a sweet, chaste kiss. "i guess that's a risk i'm willing to take."

suddenly, she jerks her hips upwards to try and knock him over. but it would take an act of god to remove him from her, and instead he moves from straddling her to lying flat on top of her. "kuroo!" she complains under the weight of him, "you dick, you're gonna crush me!"

"nah, i'm being a good boyfriend, i'm keeping you warm."

"kuroo!"

there's a loud slam on the door that interrupts their laughter. "shut up!" comes nishinoya's yell from the other side of the door. "we have thin fucking walls!"

her giggling does not subside. instead she uses the interruption to push kuroo off of her and then lean over him, resting her forearm across his broad chest. she leans down and kisses him again. "you're my boyfriend," she says again, quieter now. "and that's the last one you get today."

kuroo grins. he'll take it.
