"Clear", you said as you checked the last room on the floor.

The night had fallen and so you and Guren stopped on your way out of Shinjuku to get some rest. Soon you found a tall enough building that still stood acceptably well. It was dangerous to sleep anywhere near ground level since the four-horsemen still scoured the land every day and night in search of victims. And so, you sought shelter in the upper floors, where the windows and high altitude also gave you a good vantage point for the vampires of the area.

"Alright", Guren responded as he closed the door to the abandoned office you had found and taken refuge in, "we make camp and head back out tomorrow"

"Sounds good", your answer was simple and yet the smile you gave your lover was more than enough to warm the cold room.

Guren let down his sword so that it leaned against the wall.

"Are you sure you want us to sp-", you began to say but he was quick to answer.

"I can't take you with me, this one is classified", he said not turning back to face you

"So you say. But Kureto was a mess. His father's dead. So who issued the order? What the hell is going on?"

You caught a glimpse of Guren's clentching fists before he relaxed them, letting out a sigh. "Y/n", he murmured before turning to meet your eyes. The violet colour of his was dampened by the dark feelings that festered inside him.

"You're obviously hiding something and...not out of...duty", your sentence's rhythm fell apart as he approached you. Gazing at that violet pair of eyes was gazing at desperation itself.

"I am. I'm sorry", he brushed your cheek with the back of his hand. His gaze fell along with his arms. There was sorrow in his tone, so much that it broke your heart. "I can't tell you right now. But I promise. I'm doing the right thing. Trust me", he said.

"I always do", your response was quick enough to surprise even you. Guren squeezed his eyes shut as if those loving words had cut him deeper than any knife could. When he opened them again you could almost see the flames burning hot behind them.

He brought his body close to yours, so much so that they touched, and yet his arms remained still on his side. He leaned in, his lips brushing over yours. His warm breath drove you insane with need as it exploded on your skin, his languid eyes daring you to give in, very well knowing how to best succeed. He stepped forward, pushing you back with his body.

"We should rest", you whispered, your breath too frantic to form a properly punctuated sentence, "We...uh...have a...a difficult journey...to-tomorrow"

"Mhm", Guren simply murmured as your back finally met the edge of the old office desk. His voice came out low and rasp, his eyes half lid.

"We have to conserve our energy", you said the words aloud so your heart could hear, "We can do this when we get back. First thing"

He touched his lips to yours, his tongue slightly licking their rosy flesh. "All I'm saying is", there was pain in his voice and, unlike you, he knew the cause behind it, "we shouldn't take anything for granted"

"What are you saying?", you frowned. Guren normally kept his pessimistic thoughts to himself. Even as he both believed and acted to appreciate the present he never said aloud why he did so. Before however you could give the matter further thought, your lover placed his hands over your cheeks, caressing your face upwards until his fingers entwined with your hair. He pulled you in and, after all his teasing, kissed you deeply. His tongue was quick to sneak between your lips and explore the cavern of your mouth, his thumb brushing on your skin as he lowered his left hand back to your cheek to angle your face further up.

"I'm saying I need you", he said breathlessly once he broke the kiss, leaning his forehead against yours, "I need you so much right now"

You had never heard Guren plead for anything. Not without sarcasm anyway. And yet, at that moment, he sounded truly desperate, enough for him to beg if you said no. It was as if he truly believe this could be the last time you two were together like this. Little did you know that he considered that as a very likely possibility.

He kissed you again, one hand pulling you closer by the waist, the other secured on your cheek. He broke it too soon for your liking, his eyes examining you. You quickly craned your hand behind his neck to pull him back in. There was no way you could say no to him when he was turning you on so much. He brought one hand to support your back as he raised you up with the other and laid you over the length of the desk. It was not long before he climbed over you, his knees caging your hips in place as his hands took their time to caress your body before undressing it. He took off his shirt and jacket together, pulling them over his head. He smiled at you as you took in the view of his skin shining under the pale light of the moon. He bit his lip and ruffled his ebony hair, just for show, and then quickly leaned back in to capture your lips.

His hand dove under your back, lifting it enough to unhook your bra, which he threw to the side. He hungrily kissed your soft skin like it was his last meal. Your palms explored his torso, hands caressing his muscles, well sculpted from training. When they finally reached his head, you entwined your fingers in his raven black hair, combing it as you brought him close enough to take your breast between his lips. Your eyes fluttered subconsciously as his teeth played with your hardened nipple, and you let out a sigh. That was the mere start to many more sounds as he climbed up and playfully sunk his teeth on your shoulder. After adding on more hickey to your body, this time on your neck where not even the collar of your uniform could hide it, he brought his lips to your ear and said "You're making me worry I'll lose you to a vampire if you enjoy this that much"

Your hands tug on his belt. "Guess you better find a way to keep me", you smiled

"Guess I better do"

His hands traced your curves until his fingers hooked on your underwear and pulled it off your legs. He covered your entrance with his palm, gently rubbing it, as his index played with your bud. Your chest tightened at the pleasure and need that built up within you. You held the edges of the desk on your sides and pulled, your body sliding further under Guren. His face was stiff with surprise at first as you pulled him in for a kiss, but it soon relaxed and gave into the love between you. "I need you now", you said desperately as you broke one kiss and before initiating another, "I can't wait any longer"

He cupped your cheek with his palm, "you can't just take me in yet love"

Before he could finish that sentence you pushed his hand aside and brought yours between your legs. You looked him in the eyes as you rubbed your clit before pushing one and then another finger inside. You made sure he observed every change in your expression as you steadily dove your digits in and out, hitting all the spots you knew best. He knew them too, but he would take too much time, uncertainly searching them inside your walls. He groaned, lowering himself a little as his knees faltered. You felt the bump on his pants brush over your hand before he covered it up with his. His face twisted as he observe your mouth falling open as you picked up speed. He reached for his belt and unbuckled and shoved down every item of clothing that stood in his way before pulling himself to sit between your legs. He stroked himself a few times before spreading your legs further open and bringing his thumbs to massage around your area, your fingers diving in and out between them. He looked painfully hard and the fact that it was you who made him this way was especially invigorating. He spread your entrance further open using his fingers, allowing you to dive another one of yours in.

The moment your head fell back, body ready to crumble, you heard him groan and say, "You think you're the one who can't wait anymore? Do you understamd what you do to me?"

He brought his lips to yours, lowering the rest of his body against you. You felt his erection brush near your cunt and took him in your hand, guiding him. You broke off the kiss, breath shaking, as his tip touched your entrance. He took it as his cue, and slowly brought himself inside you until he bottomed out. Your eyes watered but they could still see him observe your face for any indication of displeasure. But there was no displeasure, none at all. Just a slight sting followed by unimaginable bliss.

He grasped your thigh as he slowly pulled himself out until the tip and then back in. He did it again, and again. His eyes were locked on your face as he slowly exited and entered, glued to the way your pounding heart dictated your expression. You cupped his cheek with your hand, the other pulling on the desk, pushing you harder against him as he entered you again.

"Gnn...Guren", your teeth gritted before your mouth fall open with a sigh, as he bottomed out one more time.

He licked his fingers and brought them to your bud, rubbing circles deeply onto your skin. Your body shivered. Your legs tried to close, locking Guren between them and squeezing him tight. He traced a line beneath your thigh with the tip of his finger until his hand caught your knee. He pushed it close to his mouth, his teeth leaving another pink mark. To your excitement, he then hooked his arm under your leg and lifted it up to his shoulder. He did the same with the other and then climbed higher over you until his lips reached yours.

"Better hold on", he said with eyes half closed with desire, barely giving you a moment to do as he said before he began moving his hips again.

Your arms trembled as they gripped the desk. You moved your body towards him each time he entered until his pace was too quick for you to follow, especially when it was doing such a marvelous job scattering every other though but how good he felt inside you. His arms locked your head between them, hands gripping at the other edge of the desk that stood behind you. You traced the sides of his body before pulling his face towards you, kissing him hard. It was very soon however that you had to return your hands to the sides of the desk to steady you as he desperately drilled inside you.

You had tried your best to contain your moans, but as his length kissed your crevix and every other part between your folds that you craved, you could not anymore. Each moan was louder, like the thrusts it encouraged.

You drew a sharp breath. "Gu-Guren I-I'm", you muttered as you felt the knot in your stomach being squeezed tight. "What are you doing", you asked breathlessly, "You're not there yet"

His voice was equally breathless as he spoke, "You are. Today that's enough"

He picked and combed back a wet strand of hair that had stuck on your cheek. You pushed him out and away so that he sat on the desk. Then you climbed on his lap and put your hads on his shoulders before guiding yourself back down on him. He groaned as your walls clenched around him at his presence. He averted his eyes but made no attempt to lush you away, as if the pleasure was both shameful and too precious to give up.

"You should find", he began to lament but you cut him off.

"No", you lifted his chin so he would look you in the eyes and kissed him, "Even if the population was the one it was before the fall, you'd be the only man in the world who'd hold my heart"

As you pushed up and down again you felt his hands grip your hips and aiding you in your task. He groaned and moaned and sighed as you kissed and bit his neck and body, evening out for all the marks he had left on you. He paused for a moment, cupping your cheek, his eyes filled with the love he felt for you.

He sighed, "Tomorrow I'll tell you about my mission. And why I don't want you with me"

And then he gave into motions of your body. He bit his lower lip, trying to withhold his moans as if it would trick his mind to think he was not enjoying this as much as he was. His hands climbed higher on your body, embracing you like a precious treasure.

"I thought you said it was classified", you couldn't help saying.

"I did cause I decided to make it classified", he responded, "but I love you too much to keep it that way"

And you both gave into the love, each other's bodies and the night's sweet embrace.

it has been a long, exhausting day filled with missions, teaching the kids, meetings, ect. and you are more than tired. you're waiting outside one of the meeting halls for guren to finish the last meeting of the day so you can both go home together. he comes out before the meeting ends, per usual, and a grin spreads onto his face when he sees you leaning against the wall, waiting for him. "hey babe! ready to go home?" he comes up to you and places a kiss on your cheek. "mhm. more than ready. i'm so tired." he grabs your hand and starts walking you both home. once you arrived in your shared home, you instantly run into the bathroom while guren disappears in his office to go some reports of the day. coming out of the bathroom, you wonder where he is since you thought he was following you into your bedroom, which is connected to the bathroom. you go look for him and let out a big sigh when you find him sitting at his desk in the office. you walk over to him, lean against the table and run a hand through his hair. "you can finish these reports some other time. come to bed with me, you look exhausted." he sighs and looks up at you. "i'd rather finish them now than later. there aren't many left, i'll be done in like thirty minutes, love." he grabs your hand that was still playing with his hair and pulls it down to his mouth to place a kiss onto your knuckles. "you should go to sleep though. i know how tired you are. i'll be there soon" you pout a little, not wanting to go to bed without him. you always get needy when you're tired, craving the warmth of your boyfriend and wanting to be attached to him at all times. guren knows that, of course. he knows you like the back of his hand. "but i don't wanna lay down without you." you whine which makes guren chuckle. "okay, c'mere then." he pats his lap. you happily straddle him and put your arms around his neck. guren slides one of his hands under your shirt and places it on your lower back. "i promise i'll finish the reports fast and then we can go to sleep together, yeah?" he whispers in your ear. the room is completely silent while he's going through the reports. the only noise that appears every once in a while is the sound of your lips that place soft kisses against guren's warm neck. you love moments like this. when it's just the two of you. no missions, no vampires, no meetings. just you and the love of your life. after a while, you're starting to doze off which guren notices. "sleep, baby. i got you." you shake your head no. "don't wanna fall asleep without you." he chuckles. why are you being so stubborn right now? "you're that needy, hm?" he says teasingly while a smirk spreads onto his face. you pull your head away from the crook of his neck, infront of his face to look at him. placing both of your hands against his cheeks, you place a soft kiss onto his lips. "so what if i am? i just love you and wanna be with you." a big, loving smile spreads on his face. he doesn't mind when you're needy or "clingy". not even one bit. he knows how you feel and he feels the same way. he brushes his nose against yours and places a kiss on your forehead. "you win. let's go to bed." he gets up with you in his arms, your legs tightly wrapped around his waist as he carries you into your bedroom and places you on your shared bed. you raise both of your arms in the air "help." he chuckles. "you're that tired?" you nod and he pulls your shirt over your head and arms. then he helps you out of your pants. he walks over to the closet and pulls out one of his shirts and his sweatpants and helps you put them on. then, he slides his hands under your shirt, onto your back and opens your bra. he playfully winks at you while throwing it to the other side of the room. "perv." you roll your eyes. guren changes out of his clothes and changes into his pajama and lays down. he pulls you down next to him. you're laying face to face, legs tangled together, your arms around his waist and one of his around yours while the other hand is tracing your beautiful face features with his pointer finger.

"what are you doing?" you ask. he stares at you with his beautiful violet eyes. "you're beautiful." he whispers almost breathless. "so, so beautiful. 'nd you're all mine." heat spreads all over your face and you smile lovingly at him. "all yours." he kisses you. soft and slow but also deep and passionate. he makes sure to put all of his feelings into that kiss. he loves you so, so much. you're everything to him. the reason he keeps fighting. the reason he gets up in the morning. you're his. and he is yours. he pulls away from the kiss. "go to sleep and get some rest. i'll be right here when you wake up." he places another soft kiss on your lips and presses your head against his chest. "my love. i love you. goodnight." another kiss on your forehead. you smile. "goodnight guren. i love you."

❦ you were having a sleepover with mikaela. you woke up earlier than him, so you decided to take advantage of it. you picked a makeup pencil and started drawing cat ears on his forehead and whiskers on his cheeks. as you were drawing the last whisker, mika’s eyes opened and he slowly blank looking at you. you awkwardly smile as he quickly gets up to go in front of a mirror to see the cat makeup on his face.

❦ yuichiro decided to just come over, without any warning or reason. when you asked for his reason, he said that he missed you, but the last time he saw you was yesterday. he even slept over, so to avenge yourself, you decided to draw on his face. you picked a makeup pencil and drew little horns on his forehead then drew a mustache for him. he woke up very late, like at 11am and only realized something was on his face after he finished brushing his teeth.

❦ you were the one who pulled guren to your house, he said he wanted to hang out with shinya again but you were sick of him hanging out more with his friends than you. while he was sleeping, you wrote the word loser on capital letters, then drew a joker smile on his face. you grabbed his phone and took a picture to send it to shinya.

❦ shinya and you were having a sleepover and he had fallen asleep on you while watching a movie that you loved a lot. you were mad at him for it, how could he fall asleep watching a movie good like that. you got to your room and grabbed a makeup pencil then came back to shinya. you wrote the word simp on his forehead and drew an x on his lips.

❦ you were telling shinoa about your day but only realized after you were done talking that she had fallen asleep. your jaw dropped offended as you decided to have a little revenge on her. you took a makeup pencil and drew a clown face on her face.

There's this idea that's been floating inside my mind for months now and I am extremely tempted to turn this into a full blown series of sorts. It's related to the latest chapters of Seraph of the End and they somehow get transported into our world and then they meet you, the reader, by sheer accident. You freak out because of course you do and when you try telling them that they're fictional characters it all backfires on you because whenever you try looking up their names on the Internet there is no information about them whatsoever... You are the only one in this world who knows who they are which could cause trouble. Under the cut are just some ideas how everyone would react to certain situations, your relationship with them, how they act around you and whatnot. Feel free to comment and share any ideas you have, I'm open to anything!

WARNING, SPOILERS LIE AHEAD‼️

❤️ YUUICHIRO HYAKUYA - He’s the first dummy you encounter by complete accident. You were just walking down the street and then there’s this idiot that just ran into you and was shouting like a crazy person. Where am I, why does everything look so weird, why are the buildings so good looking?! He helps you get back up on your feet of course but he is bombarding you with questions and you can’t process anything he’s saying. You notice his strange attire and piece together that he’s probably just a very dedicated cosplayer that was really getting into Yuu’s character. You tell him this with a smile on your face but he ends up thinking that you’re the idiot - why would he be faking this, what is wrong with you?! You’re out in the open, you could get pounced on at any second, oh God, where is his squad?!! After many hours pass and even grander hysterics Yuuichiro manages to convince you that he really is not faking anything and that everything he’s saying is true. It’s still a little hard to believe him but once you relax a little he takes a huge liking to you, especially if you buy him some food. You’ll most likely meet the Shinoa squad after a few days of searching for them, but right now I’m a bit more interested in exploring your personal relationship with him.

He probably sees you as someone very kind once he gets to talk to you, he even relaxes a bit and starts showing you his more playful and childish side more. You treat him like a kid brother but you’re so delicate with him, it’s so hard for him to contain the blush that’s creeping up on his face. You’re delicate with everyone he notices, it’s probably because you know everyone’s backstory and trauma so well. He thinks it’s fun that you know all of them inside and out like this, even if he was just a part of some story in your world. He’s a lovestruck puppy later on, he craves so much of your attention it’s insane. He can’t seem to understand that this world you live in is actually normal, no one can hurt him ever again and he can finally have a normal life... He needs adjusting, that’s for sure. His yandere side would probably be shown when he’s trying to protect you and when he gets jealous.

I’m so tempted to write more for him (for everyone if I'm being real ...) but I’ll try to keep it short and sweet, I have so many ideas it’s insane.

❤️ MIKAELA HYAKUYA - OKAY SO, I imagined that everyone in the cast gets transported here just after Mika gets tunred into a demon and before he can properly possess Yuu’s sword, he ends up attaching himself to you instead (he’s not a kid though!). You sense him all day, every day, but you can’t tell what keeps hovering over you all the damn time, why do you hear voices in your head? Mikaela is overjoyed to see that Yuu is safe but he doesn’t trust you when he sees you, everything about this entire situation is so bizzare he can’t make aynthing of it. The last thing he can recall seeing is a flashing light and then everything went quiet. He sensed your life force and was attracted to it, it was so comforting to feel you know? He explores your mind and desires but he’s limited, he can’t tred deeper for whatever reason. He gets to know you, he even talks to you from time to time and you indulge him, it’s.... well, he has no words really.

You decipher that you are indeed talking to Mikaela, which makes you very happy. He overheard all of your conversations with Yuu so he already knows everything you think - and he just doesn’t believe you. It doesn’t matter that he’s tempted to devour your heart, he wants answers and he wants them now damn it. He gets super huffy when you sleep, he always invades your dreams and forces you to tell him everything you know and what your plans for Yuu and the others are. However, he senses no malice in your heart, no evil, no ulterior motives.... What kind of human are you? He starts acting all overprotective of you, always chastising and fussing over you, like a cute boyfriend. He reads your mind and tells you to stop saying such stupid things but you tease him, it’s so fun to rile him up.

After a lot of research you discover an ancient spell which allows demons to be transformed back into a human, much to everyone’s surprise. With a few tweaks, there’s also a chance of turning vampires into humans as well... After years of darkness, despair and misery, perhaps Mika can allow himself to grasp this glimmer of hope and let a new person into his heart once again.

Something I'd like to point out is that the demon's can't talk to their humans here, at least not for a period of time. The only reason you can talk to Mika is because he attached himself to you and only through him can you even get close to Asuramaru and the others. They probably got a little spooked by everything and went into a state of comatose, the demons in our world probably aren't very happy to see these strangers all over their territory now.

❤️ SHINOA HIIRAGI - Out of everyone, Shinoa is the one who manages to blend in with modern society the most, she takes no time in indulging in modern trends, foods, games, you name it! it’s scary, especially seeing how hard everyone else is handling these sudden changes but you manage to understand her a little better thanks to Yuu’s help and her finally confessing her true feelings on the matter. After years of abuse and war, it just feels so good to just unwind. In this world she is not a Hiiragi, she is not a soldier, she is not a damn test subject, she is just a normal girl that was blessed to live a normal, fullfiling life and it was all thanks to your help.

As a yandere, I can see her being romantic or platonic, it really could go either way with her. She’s just happy to have you by her and her friends side, that’s her biggest desire now.

❤️ MITSUBA SANGU - She tries to play it cool but her paranoia eats her from the inside out, it’s so difficult for her to grasp the situation, please just let her breathe. Shinoa teases her from time to time, which also does not help one bit.... She probably gets into fights with random strangers on the street because she sort of forgot how to act in a normal society so everything just frustrates her to no end. She’s always thinking like a soldier, always ready to strike, always ready to defend herself and her loved ones... But once you show her that she’s safe, Mitsu shows you her gentler side, even indulging in some of those fun activites Shinoa likes so much. She also really likes you, she just isn’t willing to say it out loud.

...She’s really grateful to you, you know? When she stares at the moon she feels happy to have met you, feels relieved for being allowed this second chance at life. That’s why she tires so hard to protect you, she owes you everything.

❤️ YOICHI SAOTOME - Ah, baby boy, baby... He’s a cute little baby in your eyes, you probably end up spoiling him the most with your affection by accident because of his cuteness, much to everyone’s chagrin. For a lot of the people here it takes time for them to develop feelings for you but this guy feel fast and hard. It’s so easy to overlook the fact that Yoichi really is not the cute little boy you think he is... Please, don’t treat him like he’s weak, he is anything but weak. He feels like bursting into tears whenever you call him cute, he doesn’t want to be cute he wants to be manly! He carries the death of his sister on his shoulders and you remind him of her so much it hurts...

He’s one of the more unhinged ones, shall we say.

❤️ SHIHO KIMIZUKI - This hardass I swear ... I already feel like throwing hands with him, he's so frustrated with you!! His crush is so obvious but like Mitsuba, he just can't say anything out loud!!! He tries so hard to impress you but is more subtler at it than Yuu which does earn him some brownie points. Not that intense of a yandere unless he gets provoked... Which happens easily, he also fights with random pedestrians on the street.

As for blending in, he's not that bad actually. He's nowhere near as smooth as Shinoa but compared to the rest of his squad he is definitely second best (please praise him on this one...). I'd say out of everyone he was already the most "normal one" and his usually level headed nature can come in handy from time to time.

❤️ GUREN ICHINOSE- This guy actually manages to hold his ground quite well in this world if he were to say so. Guren is very intelligent so he managed to figure things out and got a part time job to get some money, he found a place of his own and sometimes checks up on his teammates in the shadows from time to time. He doesn't come back to them because he feels so guilty for putting them through so much hell, for destroying the world and he feels guilty because he was given a second chance at a new life too. He doesn't deserve to be here, he knows it.

Your and Guren's relationship is incredibly rocky and he forces you not to say a word to anyone about him being where he is, he knows they'll come looking for him if you do. The two of you fight so much, you even fight in front of other people when you're outside in the open. Some people even say you look like a married couple, which both of you furiously deny. All of that anger comes crashing down one night, a night where Guren makes a stupid decision and kisses you. It feels good, it feels so good but it's wrong, he can't do this to you.

He's already hurt so many people, he won't be able to live if he hurts you too.

This got longer than I expected but it was super fun to write! But I'll stop here for now and dedicate this bit to the humans (Mika isn't a human but he gets a pass ❤️)

your feelings for the Ichinose boy run deep, a little part of you crushing on just his looks when he first arrived at this school, only growing on you since then. His personality when he really got comfortable was charming, and he always had that goofy look on his face when students pulled mean tricks on him like he didn't care. A pretty face. He never lets others bother him it seems, even when he talks all lesson to the boy beside him and tries to ignore him. You could look past the Ichinose Clan part, that was the least of your worries. After all, even Mahiru Hīragi could look past that.

you see her around him a lot, and they seem to know each other and get along well. She's always smiling around him, and while he doesn't exactly look like he's having the best day of his life he looks happier to hear from her than most other students. You suppose he would be with a smart and pretty girl paying attention to him, let alone one quite so impossibly beautiful as her. A once in a century genius. How could you ever hope to compete with a person like that?

it was a nigh impossible task, so you give up, and you watch. You know that he is only yours in your little daydreams, and the moment you blink them away and return to reality he goes right back to being Mahiru's as he always was.

since you joined the army you had at least a bit of a liking toward him, though it was quite minor at first, nothing too big. You just liked how nice he was to you, even helping you out at times when he noticed you were struggling a bit with your weapon. With his help you got closer to him at least in your eyes, the confidence he oozed enough to make you feel safe and in good hands. You trusted he knew what he was doing and it kept paying off to trust his advice.

it kept you asking for more of his help, knowing that slowly the help was becoming less of your focus and it was slowly shifting to the man himself. Something about him is so handsome, yet also quite cute.

then you heard he had once had a fiancée, and you realised that if that was everything he wanted in a partner that you would be stepping way out of your league. She was a Goddess put on earth in the form of a high school girl, perfect if not for her one fatal flaw in which she was dead after committing acts that disgraced her family. That explained why nobody spoke of her until you heard it from the girl's own sister.

slowly you were inching your way further into his life, and slowly you will inch your way back out. Even as a dead woman, You know that to that standard, you are still just a bumbling and confused little child.

a bad little habit you have with Aoi is the gossip once work is over, going to shower and change in the showers together one stall apart just to talk about various tidbits you'd picked up throughout the days. You'd learned many…interesting things that way. Most notably however was in the midst of washing your hair, letting the water wash out the product when she so happened to mention that she might just have deeper feelings for Kureto than she usually lets on. It's more than just respect, at least as she put it. You almost got shampoo in your eyes.

of course you couldn't blame her, her feelings are something you can quite easily understand in fact, it's just… How are you supposed to be pitted against someone like Aoi who is loyal to a fault at her job? Thinking about it really…she is quite beautiful, and her family is in higher standing, she does anything that he asks of her, most importantly she is strong. You think if anything Kureto would value power, wouldn't he? He probably wouldn't be fond of protecting his lover all the time out of necessity, he'd prefer someone capable of doing that themselves, and while you certainly could, Aoi could do it better.

you can hear her as she knocks her hand against the wall of the shower stall, "Did you drown in there?" her voice brings you back again, and you give a quick no in response. You're out of the shower soon enough. It'd be easier to forget the conversation if not for the fact you both pass him again on your way back to the dorms and finally notice how she looks at him.

even without the threat of her own skill over yours, you're not sure you can take that away from her.

Sypnosis: On one fateful night, MC encountered a certain vampire she didn't expect to meet during her guard duty.

"When will Yu-kun and the others arrive?" You yawned while sitting on a branch of the tree outside the walls. You were given a guard duty at night for any signs of vampires. Of course, you hated the job and you are not that skilled at close combat. That's why you choose a cursed gear suitable for you, a bow. Even though you despise the job given to you, you can't argue back with Lieutenant Colonel Ichinose since orders are orders. "Damn that Guren bastard" You hissed while surveying the area. It is quite silent, but that's a good thing for you because you can enter your world of thoughts without any distractions. But of course, you had to stay alert for any Horsemen of John or vampires. "I freakin' hate this job" Your eyebrows twitched in annoyance as you tried to calm your mind.

Mika. That's the first thing that crossed your mind. Mikaela, Yuichiro and you are orphans of Hyakuya Orphanage. You still remember how close you were to Mika when you were sent to the orphanage. Both of your parents despise you, they even tried to kill you when you were still young. They said that you are a demon, a 'Seraph of the End', and that's the reason you have to die. Being young back then, you didn't understand what they meant. After your parents committed suicide, you were sent to the orphanage. You still remember how you cried on him when you met him.

"Okay, children, [Name]-chan will be one of our family starting today. So please make friends with her" The director told the children who were standing in the room, she held both of your shoulders while you looked away with a slight blush. "Yes!" A boy with blonde hair and blue eyes responded with a smile, all the other children copied him. The director left you and went to the kitchen, you stood there for a while, surveying every face of the children and the decor of the room. "Hi [Name]-chan! I'm Mikaela, I'm an orphan just like you but I have a big family now" The blonde boy went to you and held out his hand to you. "H-hi..." You shook his hand while forcing a smile. "Say, why were you sent here?" He asked. Your eyes widened at his sudden question, trying to hold back tears when you remembered that your parents were trying to kill you. You looked away from him and covered your watery eyes with the help of your bangs. "[Name]-chan, are you okay?" He asked worriedly, he thought that the question he asked you might trigger bad memories.

"I'm sorr--" You instantly hugged him while crying, surprising him on the spot. "I'm okay," You told him as you shook your head. He placed his hand on your head and then gently rubbed it. "My parents tried to kill me because I'm a demon, but one day, they committed suicide then I was sent here" You explained while crying on his back. "It must be tough, huh? But don't worry, we're your new family" Mika comforted you while cheering you up. "Yeah, thanks" You pulled away from him and then wiped away your tears. "By the way, you're not a demon. For me, you're an angel" Mika flashed you a heart-warming smile which made your heart skip a beat. "T-thanks..." You flushed red while looking down.

Then after that, the two of you grew close to each other, and then Yu came along too. Yu is just like you, his parents tried to kill him because he's a demon. That's why he acts like a jerk, not wanting to accept his new family. But Mika is Mika, he befriended the stubborn Yu and convinces him that the Hyakuya Orphanage is one big family.

But you know that you lived in a cruel world, all the happiness that you had vanished. Deadly viruses spread and killed humans, leaving only children that are 13 and younger. The vampires had captured you and your family, treating all the children as livestock. But the most horrifying thing that happened was when one vampire killed your family. Mika planned to escape with your whole family, but somehow, it was just a trap. When inside the vampire's estate, he killed all the younger children that were with you. Even Mika. He sacrificed himself for you and the stubborn black haired to escape. You felt really guilty that you left your family there while you were now here, alive. The memory haunts you every night, making it a nightmare. And you only had one reason to live; revenge. Yu also had the same intent, killing all the vampires is his goal. Because he is the only one left, you promised yourself to protect your remaining family.

"Seraph of the end, what the hell is that exactly?" You clenched your fist because of the idea. You heard from Major General Hiragi that the seraph of the end is some sort of plan to end the world. And most of all, you are actually worried when Yu was put into a coma for a week. You don't actually know the details, but Shinoa mentioned something about transformation and demons. Yu-kun, please don't do things that might end your life. When you heard some noises from the deserted city, you snapped out of your thoughts and then held your bow tightly, getting ready to attack. You raised your bow at shoulder level then pulled the string back, and a green arrow appeared. You steadied your stance while waiting for the right time to attack. I just hope I won't mess up or else I'm dead. Sweat appears on your forehead as you try to calm your speeding heart. Once you saw a glimpse of a white cloak, you released the string. The arrow went straight to the vampire at a blazing speed.

"Did I do it?" You muttered to yourself after your attack, lowering the bow, and sighed in relief. But when the arrow neared the vampire, he blocked it with his sword. "Shit! I messed up!" You stood up from the branch as you held your bow tightly. The vampire noticed your presence and then looked your way. Shit, shit, shit, shit! I have to escape or-- "Huh?" Your eyes widened as the wind passed you by, you felt a presence behind you and tried to attack. You swung your right leg behind to get the vampire off the branch somehow, but your swing was too late and he caught your leg. "Let go of me!" You screeched as the vampire held your ankle tightly. "Gah!" You screamed as he crushed your bone.

Your bow vanished from your hand as your face showed agony. Clenching your fist, you aimed it at the vampire but he caught your attack once again. You shot him a hard glare when your head turned to face him, but then your eyes widened at the male before you. "M-Mika...?" You muttered softly as you saw the blonde male with blue eyes, staring back at you with also widened eyes. "[N-name]....chan?" He muttered as well before releasing his grip on your hand and ankle. "Mika-kun! It's you!" You hugged him tightly while tears formed in your eyes. The said male placed his arms around your waist. "I can't believe it! You're alive!" You said with ecstatic, forgetting about the pain in your ankle. "Yes. I'm alive" He said softly, a smile gracing upon his lips.

"B-but how? And why did you become a vampire?" You pulled away from him and wiped away your tears. "Didn't Yu-chan tell you?" His eyes widened in shock, and you shook your head. "Yu-kun has been in a coma for a week after the battle. But he's okay now" You explained to him with a smile. "I see..." The blonde sighed in relief. "So... What happened then?" You asked him again, [e/c] orbs contain anguish, sorrow, and depression when you looked into his cerulean ones. "I..... I was turned into a vampire against my will..." His blue orbs trailed down, avoiding your gaze. "Well, vampire or not, you're still Mika-kun. Having you alive means so much to us, to me" You went to him and gave him another warm and welcoming hug. He stiffened for a moment at your touch, while his cheeks heated and heart rapidly pounding. "After all these years, Yu-kun and I found our lost family. I am so happy" You buried your face into his chest, and you can hear the fast beating of his heart.

"After all these years, I've always thought of you," You said, hugging him tightly. Mika listened closely to what you were saying. "After all these years, I never thought that I would see you again" You continued. He placed his hand on your head and rubbed it gently. "After all these years, here you are, standing in front of me. Embracing me in your arms" You whispered the last part a bit, but still audible to Mika. "I never thought that I would fall in love with my family, even when I was too late to confess" You looked at him in the eyes, you can say that he was surprised by your sudden confession. Tears bubbled in the corner of your eyes as your cheeks flushed with embarrassment. After a while of watching his expression, you pulled away and turned your back to him. "Sorry, I know you might say that I'm stupid" You wiped away the tears as you tried to calm yourself down.

"I--" When you turned around to face him again, he suddenly hugged you much to your surprise. "After all these years, I am still stupid enough not to know your true feelings towards me," He said, hugging you tighter. "[Name]-chan..." He whispered in your ear. "Yes?" You asked while rubbing his back gently. "I love you" He confessed, and you smiled to yourself. "I love you too..."
