Having just read Ningguangs Character Story 5 I am now fully convinced that she is actually aromantic.

#genshin impact #ningguang #for real tho read it #shes stringing along a bunch of suitors which also mentions renowned sea captains as amongst said suitors #being kind are gracious and keeping them interested but at a distance #but it says she has no real love for finite things #it really sounds to me like theres a strong case for her being aromantic #and i dunno this whole story piece puts a very compelling spin on how you can read ningguang/beidou as a ship #that shirks the typical shipping template #ningguang and beidou as lovers/interested in one another with beidou as one of ninguangs suitors #beidou being fully aware that ningguang is keeping her somewhat at a distance #and them having a mutual understanding that they cant ever really fully commit to each other anyway #because of their different positions in society as law breaker/smuggler and the leader of a nation #and because fully committing to each other would possibly mean one giving up more for the other in terms of lifestyle #and their separate first priorities/first loves #however ningguang is very aware that theres the potential for something more between her and beidou and that tension persists between them #where beidou is unique amongst ningguangs many suitors in that theres a mutual chemistry and tension between them #a mutual acknowledgement of the potential and interest and understanding of their situation #so anyway ningguang chosing her blue lantern rite dress very deliberately as part of her strange dance with beidou #the small allowances within the dynamic they uphold

Dazai groaned. This was the third time you’d replied to him with the same - in his opinion - lame excuse. “He can just finish the reports on his own! They aren’t even yours to complete.”

“I offered to help Kunikida and I’m sticking by it. He deserves time to relax as well, you know? What’s wrong with lending a hand?” Your words made Dazai puff out his cheeks as he thought. Well, the main issue is that it’s taking time away from him. Shouldn’t your boyfriend be your top priority, rather than your coworker? “I’m sorry, Dazai. We can have that date tomorrow, alright? I promise.”

“Okay,” Dazai replies curtly. He doesn’t mean to be terse towards you, his beautiful and wonderful partner (his words not mine), but he just couldn’t understand where you were coming from. All he does is pawn off his work onto others, and Dazai is sure the rest of the agency would do the same if given the opportunity. And yet, here you are, staying late just to finish reports that aren’t yours.

His sudden gruff attitude caused you to frown, feeling a little guilty for leaving your boyfriend alone. “Hey,” you spun around in your chair to properly face him, discarding the pen you were working with momentarily. “We can spend time together tonight, alright? I promise, if I had known you planned something for us I wouldn’t have taken this on.”

Dazai knows that; Of course Dazai knows that. But… “Doesn’t spending time with me sound more fun?” He leans in, bumping his nose onto yours to try and entice you into joining him at home.

“One hundred percent,” you chuckle. An amused smile pulls at the edges of your lips as you lean back, turning once more to the extra paperwork you agreed to take on.

“Then why won’t you?” It’s not every day Dazai comes across something he can’t easily understand. With eyebrows stitched together, lips pursed into a small frown, he couldn’t figure out why you wouldn’t just join him. Kunikida wouldn’t be mad that you went home when you were supposed to; As much of a hard-ass as that man is, he understands the importance of a good work-life balance.

One of the reasons Dazai was always so drawn to you was your kindness and emotional side. At first you were merely a puzzle to him - a way to alleviate his boredom for a few weeks before something new came along. But even after all this time, he still hadn’t quite cracked the way you gravitate towards the illogical.

“I want to help out a friend, that’s all.”

Dazai thought back to his friend, one he’d have done anything to help out. Maybe he’s beginning to understand you.

“I’ll see you back at your apartment later, alright? I love you, Dazai.”

The brunet lets out a hum, indicating he heard you, before pressing a kiss to the crown of your head and slipping on his coat. “See you later, then.”

Hi friends! Once again here using my Tumblr like a traditional blog where u share thoughts and updates and stuff haha.

Sorry for being gone for a bit, life was BUSY with plans and now I’m finally back home from a little trip visiting a lovely friend of mine (photos for visual-aid of said trip 😉😇). God I love summer and sunshine!! ☀️☺️🌊🚤🍉

So due to being less active, I did build up quite a bit of notification and message debt. Wanted to take a quick moment and say that unfortunately there is no shot I’ll be able to catch up on all of it in terms of responding to everything, even though I usually really like to stay on top of that; especially with tags and reblogs and comments on my posts! However, I did read and see everything that I’ve missed.

So to all of u that interacted while I was gone: the satisfaction from flustering some of you was absolutely enjoyed 😉~ and on the flip side the backfire from your teasy comments has also been suffered hahaha 🙈. Rosie at the flak house is like... he's compartmentalising... he's holding it together, but he's scared that if he stops, actually stops, he won't be able to get in the saddle again. That if he actually thinks about Munster, then he won't be able to stop thinking about it.

It's Rosie keeping to himself almost the entire time he's there, watching from afar - watching his men laugh together and cry alone - but just that, watching, and never with them. It's Rosie not sleeping, it's Rosie and this underlying sense of dread of how the hell he's going to get back in the plane.

Then - it's Rosie's conversation with the doctor. Rosie's the drummer, and yes, he has to keep his own beat, but he has to keep everyone else's beat too. If Rosie's rhythm is disrupted, then his crew's rhythm is disrupted. And it's only then, that pushes Rosie to pull up a chair and sit with and comfort his crew at the flak house.

#i really felt like from this whole episode that rosie couldn't really admit it to himself that there is a #Possibility that he might not be ok but the love his men trumps everything and he realises he needs to be there for them #like rosie keeps everything inside #he really is a brick wall sometimes and doesn't give much up #so the scene of him finding the rhythm to get back in the plane was so good and felt so real to me #the doctor read him so well tho #realising he's not going to get through to rosie through trying to convince him he needs to take care of himself but instead using rosie's #crew as motivation to help rosie process what happened to him #rosie loves his boys and he may not be able to acknowledge his own trauma but he will love and care for the others (and by doing that he #also is able to do a better job at taking care of himself #rosie rosenthal #robert rosenthal #masters of the air #tv: masters of the air #ch: rosie
