i wanna make a post abt my own personal hc for each of the characters sexualities and stuff because i think it’d be fun
also pls remember that these are my personal hc for these characters, if you have different ones that’s perfectly ok but pls respect other peoples opinions, thanks :)
with that being said:
steve: bisexual, he/him
robin: lesbian, demigirl, she/they
nancy: bisexual, she/her
eddie: gay, he/they (he’s not too bothered abt his gender, he isn’t cis, but they don’t really care to label it. “my gender is whatever tf i want, i’m me, i exist here, i’m metal asf, that’s all you need to know”)
will: gay, he/him
mike: bisexual, he/him
max: bisexual, demigirl, she/they
lucas: straight, he/him (speak valentina! ally!)
el: pan-romantic, asexual, non-binary, they/she (they were raised in a lab away from the rest of the world, they never really understood social norms, let alone fit in to them. being non-binary just feels right to her)
dustin: hetero-romantic, asexual, he/him
suzie: straight, she/her (while she grew up mormon, she is incredibly supportive and understanding, she’s a woman of science first, religion second. speak valentina! ally!)
jonathan: demi-pan-romantic, asexual, non-binary, he/they
argyle: pansexual, he/him but wouldn’t care if you used they/them (“gender is a social construct my guy! be who you are, ride the waves of gender until you land on an island full of your own personal happiness. life is short dude, have some fun, relax, eat some pineapple pizza”)
eden: bisexual, she/her
joyce: probably bi but doesn’t really know it, she/her (she used to kiss girls in high school, you can’t prove me wrong. specifically, i think her and karen wheeler used to make out behind the bleachers during gym. it’s a byers family tradition to like wheelers ig)
hopper: straight, he/him (a little confused, but supportive, he’d never judge his kids, or anyone of their friends. he may not fully get it but he tries. the party gets together once a week to try and explain lgbtqia+ topics to him. speak valentina! ally!)

I’ll always say that romance in fantasy is way superior to contemporary settings cuz like it just hits dif yk? like if the dark morally gray prince/lord tells his love interest that he’ll burn the world if anything happens to her YOU KNOW he’ll DELIVER if provoked. Now, what’s bradley from the football team gonna do to deliver huh? Burn the whole campus with his vape and nicotine addiction??? Like come on now??
or like If the fae warrior says he’s gonna hunt down anyone that hurts FL you just know he’s gonna literally slay a person but like what’s Bob from the office gonna do to hunt down their enemies?? Like file a complaint to hr?? Alright....??

you know if the writers actually didn’t care about izzy, they wouldn’t have had him talk to ricky and they would’ve shot him in the head without any chance to say his final words
but i guess if you think izzy is as, or more, important as the main characters despite all evidence to the contrary, this won’t make sense to you
he got more screen time in s2 not bc he was becoming a major character but bc he was getting a send off. the signs were there from the beginning. if you feel blindsided, it’s because you watched the show assuming izzy was going to be something more than a narrative foil and antagonist designed to be a source of conflict between the actual main characters
you can still love a narrative device like izzy, but he was never going to be more than that. sorry.
i should stop trying to explain this anyway because i’m talking to a comparatively small part of the fandom. they’re just loud. and at the end of the day, our love for the show should be louder

honestly my timeline on Twitter is very clean 😆 I barely see anything, because I muted every single thing qsmp related, almost every single cc name, and anything that might be brought up by cc, and if I see anything qsmp related tweeted I just instantly mute the account (positive or not). There’s the exception of my close friends, and one or two accounts, but other than that? Nothing.
so I don’t really see any bad things on Twitter, and honestly I’m glad for it :’))
if I need updates I can just check the update account or tumblr, and my psyche can remain blissfully ignorant

Can’t believe I have to say this but if you wanna make a female aphmau character Muslim and make her wear a hijab/abaya please do it properly, don’t be like other artists who make a character wear a hijab then make them show off their bodies and make them wear immodest clothing. It’s extremely offensive to Muslims and the religion itself, also offensive to Arabs and Middle Easterners. What’s the point of wearing a hijab if you’re not being modest? THINK SMARTY THINK!
You can’t draw her with a hijab then with her in a crop top and showing off her legs fuckass
(Also kinda unrelated but we need more Middle Eastern representation over here give me Syrian, Turkish, Saudi, Kurdish, Iraqi, etc.. characters)

I don’t particularly care to stand on polarizing fandom opinion, but this one gets under my fucking skin.
I don’t consider myself a hero or villain stan when it comes to My Hero Academia because I just look at the individual person. I find myself siding a hell of a lot more with the villains because in general, I think it’s true that society failed them, and it’s so sad and infuriating that it failed them at such a young age.
And then there’s Hawks.
And what baffles me about the perception of Hawks is that people will never admit that he’s far more like the villains than the heroes.
Indoctrination goes both ways. Just like Shigaraki was indoctrined by AFO to bring about destruction, Hawks was indoctrined by hero society and the JPHC specifically that Heroes were the ultimate good. Just as Shigaraki was “saved” from his family, Hawks was saved from his. Shigaraki was a tool for AFO to bring about his plan. Hawks is a tool for the JPHC to keep control.
Hawks and Shigaraki are at most two years apart. Hell, we barely ever use Hawks’ birthnames just like Shigaraki and Dabi!
It just doesn’t make sense that people will call the hero society corrupt, but then not call Hawks a victim for being made to carry out its will. Like yes, Hawks chose to be a hero, but he was like, fucking 8 years old and saved from abject poverty and parental neglect. And then you call him a monster for doing the job he’s been brainwashed to do.
If you’re going to have sympathy for villains, and if you’re going to erase some culpability from Shigaraki, Dabi, Toga and Twice because of what they endured, then you have to do the same for Hawks. Because they’re literally all the same. Society failed ALL of them.
