(1x3) i love this show's portrayal of clark so, so much. i love how his sense of identity and where he comes from is such a massive theme - how he becomes superman in an attempt to better understand himself as a person, as well as satisfy his need to help people - but under all of that, the thing that matters most about clark is that he's a good person. it doesn't matter that he can fly or shoot lasers from his eyes - it matters that lois, within a day of meeting him, knows he would risk his job to help her if she just asked him to. it matters that he risked blowing his cover to save his friends. it matters that he only manages to discover new powers when somebody needs his help, never when they would be beneficial to him alone. rib him for being a boyscout all you like, but there's something so necessary imo about heroes who are wholly, unapologetically kind

I headcanon that Bruce doesn't think about romantic relationships on his own so when he's called out, he's frightfully underprepared and has NO idea how to respond. This is in contrast to him being prepared with 18 contingency plans for an uprising of unconfirmed mole people.

But yeah. The metaphors in this show aged so finely they're barely even metaphors anymore and just straight up show our reality 1:1

So the producer behind "My Adventures with Superman" essentially confirmed that the show will not be featuring Batman (or any of the other DC heroes) in any of the future seasons, since they want to keep focusing on Superman. And you know what ? I couldn't be happier about that. More often than not, Superman/Batman stories have been used to prop up Batman, by having him fight Superman and beat him up, or just by undermining him in some way, and I'm tired of that. Frankly at this point I would rather see MAWS' takes on actual Superman characters like John Henry Irons, also known as 'Steel' in the comics (especially if they can come up with a cool new design for Steel's suit of armor) or even Kenan Kong. Superman's world is rich and fascinating enough on it's own without having to involve the other DC superheroes, and I'm glad that the show is going keep the show centered on that.

thoughts and feelings about the line "i don't have to be better (stronger) than you, i just have to stop supplying you with power" in a fight where the villain is a walking example of a corrupt rich capitalist who only cares about himself, who earlier stated that nobody could trust superman to save them because "can we really trust a stranger to help us for free? of course we can't", who tried to get reporter clark kent to stay quiet about the corruption he witnessed by bribing him with "classier ladies" than lois, who abuses and berates the assistant who runs his entire operation.

and then, when clark saves him - "you ruined me. what's your angle? what's in this for you?" "...dr ivo, look around. is it that hard to believe that some people just want to help?"

this show really isn't shying away from the whole Rich Capitalists Don't Care About You And Society Is Corrupt thing and i'm so glad to see it - this is a superman story, after all. standing up to corruption and inequality is kinda the point.

Was sad cyborg superman and superboy didn’t fight in the movie so I just made my own scene 🤷🏻‍♀️
