Bruce: You have exactly three seconds to explain why you just woke me up.
Clark: Because it’s morning and you should be awake.
Bruce: Oh… Interesting… I didn’t know you wanted to die today!
Clark: Bruce, you can’t kill me.
Bruce, pulling out kryptonite: It’s too late, I’ve already decided how.
there’s many reasons why i hate when kon is referred to/treated as clark’s brother rather than his son, but the funniest of those reasons is that i am literally unable to see clark as anything but an only child. like just look at him, that man clearly doesn’t have any siblings! like his only child vibes are so incredibly strong, and now you’re trying to say kon is his brother? absolutely not, i can believe in superpowered aliens and clones and a town called smallville but this is where i draw the line!
I have been doing so much reading on ao3 lately and have come to realization conner has to be one of my favorite superman characters of all time.
Not only is there so much to break down from his character but he's so wildly different that I love it.
It's also kinda sad but also refreshing to see superman so outta his depth about the fact he has a half son with lex luthor of all people.
It's honestly really sad to see the fact he doesn't actually know how to handle conner though. Like Kal just happens to be disturbed by him and it causes a rift between them that can't be mended. Of course it's not Conners faults but the fact he has no idea what to do to make superman like him kills him on the inside but he tries to still do right and make him proud.
It's honestly so sweet and yet so sad at the same time. Which is why I love that he has the young justice league and his boyfriend to always support him. It really seems like we glazed over their relationship and don't do any real development which is a blessing as it is a curse.
Honestly I love seeing where superman kinda just accepts him and acts like a divorced parent sharing custody but I just absolutely with all my heart LOVE when we get to see more break down fics of their relationship and the seems of what makes Conner and Clark's bond.
I'm only updating this because so I could say in other words this:
I originally said this in a reblog but, picture this
Bruce Wayne gets invited by BuzzFeed to read thirst tweets. They are all from his Justice League coworkers.
-------------------------------------------
Bruce, in a completely monotonous voice: @Superman says: I wanna suck Bruce Wayne's soul out through his dick and spit it back in his face.
Bruce, with a completely straight face: Poetic
--------------------------------------------
Cue the batkids watching this video after its been uploaded and gone viral on Twitter: Remember when Uncle Supes wrote that tweet about you when he was stoned off his ass??
------------------------------------------
Said video was further used as blackmail by Tim, Jason and Steph. Duke couldn't look him in the eye for a week straight. Damian is yet to understand why the kids at school keep making jokes about his dad.
I kinda hate it when stories try to make Superman out to be some kind of impossible ideal embodiment of goodness when the point is Clark's decency is entirely unremarkable. The enlightened Kryptonians with their advanced culture and science didn't teach him decency, a pair of Kansas farmers did. Superman is good because people are good.
people think Batman is the vicious attack dog Superman has on a short leash. absolutely, incredibly wrong. Batman has Mr. “I love sunshine and save puppies from trees” on a leash that consists entirely of him saying “Kal” in a low tone because Superman can’t handle a perceived threat to Batman without absolutely losing it, red burning eyes and all.
