An update: Kazuha’s guide to being forgotten part 2 is coming very soon! Just adding finishing details :)

I’m gonna drop my formal talk act for this one, sorry guys. This is a bit of a self indulgence lol, currently 3am so I wrote this on impulse. I hope you enjoy!

A comforting Zhongli x Reader (Platonic or not, you can decide. I read this as platonic)

You stare at your hands, you were trembling. Your expression was blank and your eyes had not slept in days. It felt like thorns were ripping out of your chest, your head was spinning and throbbing in excruciating pain. You didn’t speak, no, you couldn’t speak. Who knew simply getting something to drink would result in this? You felt weak, oh so weak. It made sense, however. After not eating for days, you barely survived off of tea, water, and coffee. The most “food” you’ve had in the past week was a slice of bread. Of course, in the kitchen surrounding you, there was plenty to eat. Leftovers, ingredients, fruits, veggies, instant noodles, but you didn’t want to eat them. No matter how hungry you were, you forced your appetite down into nothingness. You stare back down at your hands, dripping in blood. The glass you were supposed to fill water with was shattered on the counter, one of them was held tightly in your palm, blood soaking it’s clear hue. You tighten your grip, watching the blood seep from the edge and drop down to the floor. You felt the countless incisions strike at your hand, opening up your old scars and creating new ones, but your face remained emotionless. You heard frantic footsteps towards you as you are suddenly held by the shoulders. You stare up at him, dropping the shard of glass onto the floor.

“What happened? Are you alright?” Zhongli’s voice was unusually breathless, but concern was still laced with his calming tone. Looking up at him, you muster a smile.

“Am I a monster?”

His hands loosen slightly on your shoulders, furrowing his brow. “Of course not. Why would you ever think that?”

You look down, how were you going to answer that? You knew you were a monster, you knew that everything you touched broke. You feel horrible, worthless. You are toxic, so very toxic. You never cared about others. You are selfish and small-minded. Every toxic trait you have rubbed off on others and you could see how painful it was for them. All you do is hurt others, all you do is hurt. You’ve realized this, that you are nothing more than a vicious monster that deserves to be hurt just as badly as they have hurt others. They deserve to starve, they deserve to be alone, they deserve to die. You knew you didn’t deserve the kindness you were given. The love, concern, your friends and family, you didn’t deserve any of them. So you pushed them away, all of them. Those who were hurt the most, the people who knew the most about you. If you push them away, make it so they never want to make as much as eye contact with you, they would much better off. They would be happier knowing they are no longer friends with a monster who never did a thing for them, no matter how much care and love they gave you. If you blocked everything out, perhaps you could make it faster towards your death. This lack of being a basic human is what you hated yourself most for.

“Look at me, dear.” Zhongli’s voice rang out from the countless voices circling your head. His golden eyes were soft and misty. “You are not a monster, please do not say such things about yourself.”

You felt your chest tighten and your throat ached. You attempted to keep it at bay, but you had not even realized you were crying until he had embraced you in his arms. Your façade broke right then and there, leaving you crying helplessly in his hug. He remained quiet while rubbing his thumb gently on your back. “I don’t know what to do,” you managed to sob out, “I’m such a bad person, and I hate myself for it. I don’t deserve anything in life. I don’t belong anywhere, all I do is burden others. I wish it would all stop, I wish I could reverse everything I’ve done but I am always going to hurt the people that care about me. I thought I could push my best friends away and be okay with it, I thought it would work.”

“Are you okay with it?”

Your sobs only seemed to grow louder, “No I’m not. I know that they’re fine. They are doing so much better without me, they’re so much happier, but why? Why don’t I feel happy for them? Why am I not okay? Why does it hurt? Why does it hurt so much, I don’t know what to do. I’m so selfish to even think that way-”

Zhongli let out a soft “shhh,” as he rubbed your back, tightening the hug. “You are doing this to make everyone happy, you care about them. If that is what makes someone a monster, I would like to know what is not a monster.” He chuckled shortly. Lowering his voice to a bit louder than a whisper, he stroked your head softly. “Let it all out. Whatever you are feeling, please do come and talk to me. Even when the world is against you, I will be here for you. I only wish for you to not harm yourself. You can scream and cry when it hurts, and that is okay. But please, do not hurt yourself.”

You cried for what seemed like hours. You punched at his chest in frustration, unable to understand why he cares so much for you when you have drenched his clothes in tears and blood. You truly thought you were alone, you believed you were better off alone, as you always were. However, here you are, crying in the arms of someone who had never left you, and never will. Looking up at him, his lips curved slightly and you were met with the warmest smile. He spoke sparingly, comforting you with every word. The sun peaked through the window, and your swollen eyes stopped their sobs.

Zhongli spoke softly, patting your back, “Would you like me to brew some tea for you?” He waited patiently for your response, and continued to speak upon seeing you nod weakly, “I will also make you breakfast, alright? You really need to eat something, dear. Wait here, I will also find the bandages. The last thing I want is for you to get infections.” He left your embrace slowly. You continued to stand there, watching him quickly fetch bandages, ointment, and start to boil the tea.

You couldn’t help but put your scarce strength into a smile. Perhaps, you weren’t completely alone after all.

annoying things they do

summary: small things these guys do that just grinds your gears a bit.

characters: oda, dazai, kunikida, twain, akutagawa, atsushi, mori, poe, ranpo, fittzgerald, steinbeck, chuuya, yosano, gin, kouyou, higuchi, alcott and lucy

these are all based off things i do or have inconvenienced my life lmfao i’ll probs do a part two with everyone i missed this just got wayyy to long lol next im posting being friends with double black

Oda:

If you're wearing shorts and have bruises he will poke them when you're resting your legs on him. He’s silent about it too and if you yell at him he pretends to act like he doesn't know what you're talking about.

Will smack your sunburn but this one is actually an accident. He just wanted to pat you on the back because you're amazing.

Will space out when you talk too long, sometimes certain objects are just so… mesmerizing

Dazai:

Loves to jumpscare you the only exception is if it was a trigger. In that case he will just call your name and whip something at you for you to catch at random.

When you're driving he likes to reach over and honk your horn. It's almost caused so many roadside fistfights.

If he sees a dog in public he will bark and growl at it.

Kunikida:

Won’t let you on the bed without socks on. You could be sick as a dog and he’ll still enforce this rule.

Cleaning is hard because he has a hard time throwing things away. You'll spend extra time as he holds two identical pens, trying to decide which one he wants to keep. He’s learned to plan certain days in his schedule for cleaning now.

Won't let you turn up the music in the car and will keep it at a level that's so low it's annoying.

Twain:

Walks around the house shirtless but then complains about how cold it is.

Blasts his music so loud when he wakes up in the morning and it's always early 2000’s hits. It's not rare for you to have Pocketful of Sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield stuck in your head by 9 am.

Always has to climb something, this stems from his adventurous side. It's not really that annoying but when you’re in a crowded area and he runs off to go climb the tall statue, screaming at you to take a photo… Yes it is. Especially when children try and follow him and you're stuck receiving glares from the parents.

Akutagawa:

Will not let you throw any food products out. He tells you it's a perfectly good meal (even if it's not) and that he will eat it tomorrow. It’s sad because you know this stems from childhood but it’s still annoying.

Reuses the same gross, musty ziplock baggies. You keep buying new ones but he doesn't get it lol.

Will tell you if your breath smells, hair is messy, outfit is ugly. He does not see an issue with this and it's nice knowing someone has your back but he doesn't have to be so rude about it..

Atsushi:

If he drinks he's one of those drinkers who will not let you take it from him. Keeps an iron grip on the cup. He finishes it no matter how drunk and always throws up. Thankfully he rarely drinks.

He stops to help everyone, literally even if they just look like they need help. You've been late to so many things.

Will eat anything. Once you made steak and somehow forgot about it. It was hard as a brick yet he still almost broke his teeth eating it. You think you saw some tears as he told you it was delicious.

Mori:

Listens to people's conversations in public and isn't afraid to comment, loudly, about it. You know it's loud because they either stop talking or try and confront you guys.

Comes up to stops fast and brakes so hard you feel like he does it on purpose.

Sometimes if he and Elise get into a “disagreement” he’ll try and rope you in to take his side and you always do, knowing it would probably give him more satisfaction if you chose to side with her.

Poe:

Asks for constructive criticism but will then argue with you about why you're wrong.

Always humming a song he heard Twain singing and then it gets stuck in your head too.

Will deny stupid things like why your favorite mug is in the trash or why he just let out rather loud scream in the bathroom. You know he's lying because he looks away and makes sure his bangs are covering his eyes.

Ranpo:

Will call you out on any lie even if you don't mean to lie you just forgot about some of the details.

Don't take him grocery shopping if you have a set amount you want to spend. He won't even sneak, he will just say he wants something and throw it in the cart.

Such a backseat driver even though he can't drive.

Fitzgerald:

Likes to act like he's still in his twenties and will somehow get the two of you invited to college parties where he will attempt to do a kegger in front of everyone. You end up being the one to hold him up and he always ends with a, “LETS FUCKING GO!”

Likes to ask for the senior discount even though he's not that old, he just likes to hear the women validate that he's not old.

It’s scary how he used to buy without looking and now will scream if the price on a price tag is too high.

Steinbeck:

Always looking at the grass for wheat to chew on. It's so cheesy when you walk into the city and he's got it sticking out of his mouth.

He gets weirdly intimate with nature and you feel like you're third wheeling.

Has the mentality that he has to provide for you because he is the man. He gets so shocked when he finds out you still want to work.

Chuuya:

Has a hard time making decisions you could ask him what he wants for dinner and his mind will just break.

Gets way too pissed at movies and will actually get up and walk away. Once you were kicked out of the theater because he wouldn't stop yelling at the screen. Another time he walked out you waited a whole ten minutes before you realized he wasn't coming back.

Sometimes activates his ability at night and it's so scary waking up to him floating halfway across the room.

WOMAN TIME!!!!!!!!!!

Yosano:

Will glare at you so intensely if you say something she disagrees with.

Always tries to rope you into drinking with her even if you’ve said no the past ten nights.

Will describe wounds or injuries in such detail and just won’t stop, almost like she’s trying to fuck with you, but she’s not.

Gin:

Claims to be nothing like her big brother but then will go on to make the same facial expressions and do some of the same mannerisms as him.

Will spend hours trying things on just to put it all back, leave the store and change her mind when you’re almost home. Then she’ll have you run back with her to buy it all.

Is used to sneaking around so scares you a lot. Also on the topic of being silent sometimes she just won’t respond, thinking you can just read her vibes / mind.

Kouyou:

Will judge what you eat, especially fast food but will try and steal a fry in private when you're not looking.

Will say things like, “Well that's just the way the world works.” If someone tries to share their baggage with her. You understand she’s had a pretty rough life but it's caused you to almost spit out your drink multiple times.

At functions forgets about you for about an hour while she mingles with everyone else, you could tap on her shoulder and she'll dismiss you like you're a subordinate. Until you clear your throat again you'll see the slight blush as she apologizes.

Higuchi:

She has no sense of privacy. If she hears a crash or loud noise she will bust down the door. It’s sweet but not when the noises are usually from you knocking all the shampoo bottles down again.

Horrible road rage actually puts you on edge to be in the car with her. She doesn't even have to be driving.

Likes to act like she's a professional at everything and people usually believe it because of her suit. It's so nerve wracking when she giggles when they walk away with false information.

Alcott:

Will agree to everything you suggest but you can only tell when she doesn’t want to do it when you’re currently doing it.

Yet she’s not afraid to grumble about how annoying it is when someone bumps into you and doesn’t apologize. It’s sweet but you’re left dealing with the situation if the person is aggressive enough to say something.

Always corrects your spelling or if you say something like “I could care less.”

Lucy:

Will fish for compliments in a very obvious way like, “Wow. Wish someone would call me pretty..” and then just stare right at you.

Kicks you so violently in her sleep but won't let go of you so you cant get away.

Constantly stealing from restaurants. You're banned from a couple restaurants because she got caught trying to steal a cup or salt shaker.

- oh the horror on his face when he didn’t think twice about opening a snap from his girlfriend

here are my comprehensive thoughts on bly manor that i have been writing since midway through my watch of the show in case anyone wants 2 hear my thoughts

victoria pedretti’s voice alone makes me want to nut unironically. combo w everything else and she is literally god. knew this from hill house but now she’s blond + playing a lezzie so that amps it all up by 500.

speaking of have so much love in my heart for miss dani clayton. she just wants to help children and is so caring and kind like ok wife? her adorable fake british accent. cannot make tea or coffee. i’m going to call the FUCKING police. determined walk run. tucked in shirt. comp het + internalized homophobia. just so brave and selfless. she has it all. would marry her in half a second.

and the absolute DEDICATION of her stomping on out after flora when viola just almost choked her to death. i’m literally on my knees proposing right now.

flora is so fucking cute absolutely love her would die for her immediately. also sometimes she is creepy and i am very scared of her. duality.

did not enjoy the jump scare w edwin or edward or whatever the fuck mr hetero’s name was i don’t remember. not the car scene like when dani turns around and sees him behind her and then he goes flying back into the mansion. anyway i get he had his heart broken but do not feel good abt how he was basically trying to force dani into marriage by constantly asking her until she said yes. like of course she’s going to eventually give in even if she didn’t want to when he was clearly not going to stop and if she said no instead of pushing it off she would lose basically everyone she considered to be her family. and then when she tells him that she can’t love him romantically he’s like fuck you dani ok homophobe. perhaps i’m glad he got hit by a truck ❤️

immediately noticed smth was up w hannah from the second she wouldn’t eat and i was like oh ok so she’s a ghost. her ep was SO confusing though until the end i was like what the fuck is going on here 😩 anyway hate to be right but. fuck peter quint.

same thing w miles i was like what the FUCK is wrong w this kid and then i was like oh he’s possessed then oh he’s possessed by peter quint in like. ep 2. once again hate to be right. fuck peter quint. also prior to watching the show i rarely saw anything abt miles and i was like why does everyone only talk abt flora? now i get it.

jamie is just so fucking sexy. like the lesbian energy off of her is unreal and smth that you don’t get too often w lesbians on tv. either amelia eve is a dyke or she somehow knows exactly how to emulate them bc truly unreal. only wish is that she didn’t wear makeup but we can’t have it all can we. also cannot stop thinking of her as a mechanic every time she’s wearing that like jump suit and god that would be so fucking sexy i......anyway love her w my whole heart.

speaking of how much i love jamie....the way that she acts all tough and a little cold while she is actually the most empathetic person and somehow knows exactly what to say to anyone when they’re having a rough moment and she won’t sugar coat it either but it’s bc she cares and understands so deeply that it’s ok.....wow. wife?

wish we could’ve gotten to know rebecca more outside of just her relationship w peter. i feel like that did her a major injustice. we practically saw none of her relationship w the kids and it seemed to me like they were trying to imply in the beginning that flora had been very close w rebeccca and i feel like we didn’t see that. felt like rebecca ended up mostly being a prop for peter’s story which was unfortunate considering she was such a great character. and did NOT get why she was so hung up on him either like oh he SEES me after one convo? he was also a dick like immediately after like....once again feels like a disservice that they had her be in love w peter based off of like nothing. like all of a sudden all her ambition is gone and she just wants to b w peter? lol ok.

charlotte cheating on her husband w his brother the absolute mind. fucking hilarious. thought he was jealous at the birth scene or that flora might be his but i was like no no way he probably just has a thing for her. but she is way too attractive for her husband anyway. do not condone cheating but she’s a milf so i let it slide. also flora actually being henry’s hilarious. fucking love this drama. had me rolling. “do you love him?” [silence] LMFAO. and dom’s (got his name!) fucking smack down on henry holy shitttttt will b taking some notes for next time i’d like to turn someone suicidal on fucking god.

i know it was the best vehicle for telling the story but tbh the dream hopping got SO exhausting for me after a while. i just did not enjoy that format. i’m already not one for flashbacks even in this context bc i want to know what’s going to happen next in the main story rather than what happened to get here since i know where it’s going and i just found this to be even more confusing and a little frustrating and incredibly hard to follow. but that’s just my personal taste i wouldn’t objectively say it made the show bad or anything. i think it was also bc all of the twists were unfortunately very obvious so the long drawn out explanations were like. thank u u could’ve said this in five mins instead bc i already knew this. felt like some of the dream scenes were pointless and could’ve been replaced w some better scenes.

flashback ep w viola was ok. kate siegel is so hot obviously but. once again felt extremely extended past the point it had to be. the repition of sleep wake walk was SO annoying like thank u i got it. but i was always a lot more interested in what was happening current day than in the past so once again this was just whatever for me. but good on viola’s hot sister for taking her out have to do what u have to do u know! did enjoy viola killing her back. just thought it was funny.

and how can i even express in words how i felt abt dani and jamie’s relationship? watching the scene where they first kiss literally put me to tears and i just had a real moment w it. and just in general the way that they open up to each other is just so incredible and how jamie makes dani feel so seen that dani literally can’t resist kissing her makes me just. cant put it into words. their relationship really encapsulates what is so beautiful abt lesbianism and that means so much to me truly. will probably make a whole post abt it tomorrow.

ok so in conclusion: i wanted more present day stuff instead of flashbacks. i feel like there was a LOT more creepy shit they could have done in the house and they just. didnt. also wanted to see more of owen in general but also hannah and owen’s relationship and jamie and dani’s relationship. felt like peter and rebecca got practically more screen time than jamie and dani did despite them being the main couple. felt like character & relationships wise there was a lot left unsaid. like yes the plot was finished with a neat bow but i don’t think most of the characters were done justice in the end. and speaking of which i don’t think the sad ending was necessary. do not see a single reason as to why dani needed to die. i feel like they felt it needed a sad ending and that’s why they killed her rather than it actually making sense. like girl get an exorcist. overall the whole thing felt more like an outline for a show that needed to be fleshed out rather than an actual finished show. perhaps could have benefitted from a few more eps maybe. but also. FUCK peter quint.

okay so the concert started with the vcr/video from the dream show ..

rory's little scene was her as a teacher !!! so cute

OOH and then the transition into her into her teacher clothes into a suit .. thats my girl

her hair is still like this. much more vibrant than it was because she redyed it oops

first song was GO!! change ur ways

she was wearing this [ black cargo pants, a black crop top, belt, along with chains lmao idk how to describe. oh and black boots ] for go, drippin', we go up, and stronger performances!

it was kind of awkward at first but then she saw nctzens' faces so she was happy

"to the world, this is the nct! we are nct dream”

she clapped excitedly, jumping up and down

"beyond the dream show~"

when haechan asked the time where the fans were, she read the comments, squinting funnily at the screen before gasping

"one of the czennies said it was 3am!"

the other boys gasped in shock before clapping slightly

"thank you for watching us even though it's 3am!" rory said to the fans. "but go to bed as soon as this is over~ or whenever you're feeling tired, that's okay too!"

"for our global fans, we prepared something special, right?" haechan said and rory nodded, smiling

"so we prepared our greeting in various languages"

rory's greeting was in french! fans went crazy bc she sounded SO good and her pronounciation was good too

after that she says, "renjun took english from me" in english and playfully glared at the older boy who laughed.

she turned to the fans and said, "but um, wendy-unnie taught me that so .. if it sounds bad it's all her fault." she claps as the other boys laugh

when they were talking about how they felt, rory said "i watched superm and wayv's concerts so i was excited because i knew we'd hear from the fans just like they were here with us in person. they were really loud, too" and laughs

when renjun told them to scream, she hit him lightly and said "yah, don't you remember what i just said? some fans it's 3am there!"

"oh dont scream then," renjun laughed, making her laugh before she went back to waving at the fans as they waved their lightsticks

when the fans appeared behind them, her eyes widened and she immediately ran to the screen, waving in all directions

but you’re on the verge of tears because god,,,,,fuck no

so you’re complaining about this to your friends when he walks into class

“it’s so fucking annoying! i’m partnered with an asshole?”

you don’t know he’s behind you until your friends tell you and you turn around

and he’s there

and he’s looking at you

but he doesnt say anything

he just smiled at you, sadder this time, and put his bag on his table and just,,,,sat there

and you feel so fucking terrible and you cant stop looking at him from across the room

what used to be stares that lasted a second too long turned into nothing

a little after that incident

They are doing Lucifer with 4 very young dancers!!!!! Super nice

Yes, they are doing the stages with 4 members but Onew's part remains (music). Only for certain songs, a dancer will stand-in for Onew

SHINee's selective predebut/debut pics/after debut pics are showing over the VCR

SHINee are on a SHINee bus and going around the dome (shooting their signed coloured balls

Minho is looking so cute like a little boy in the cap and denim top (that looks like a raincoat!)

During Your Number, Minho was the one who ended and dialed a number. He went "SHINee World , (we/i) really like you!"

SHINee really worked so hard to pull this concert together and they gave it their 110% despite the circumstance, i'm so thankful and proud

so having finished writing this is.............. a rambling adventure of a post but

ive been sorta on the fence about adding siirka into the story bc like. literally siirka was the second character of the story i ever created but. was the one that created the story bc barren was the first siirkaia character i made but they werent created as a part of siirkaia, it was after siirka (in the form of ace) that the story was a thing. anyway. i have bad experiences w an actual spirit who pretended to be? was? a part of siirka irl and so im like FUCK if ill ever give that bastard screen time! plus siirka himself is an absolute asshole and works more as the mythical lovecraftian terror i want him to be if hes never actually shown beyond his like........ body’s omnipresence. like all the animals in siirkaia are bright white approximations of earth animals bc spoiler alert. siirka once saw Earth and the story is he loved the way humans screamed so he wanted to make an entire world with entities like humans but more subservient to torment and he did so. out of his own hair? complcated. and so the only entities that are “real” in siirkaia are the Demos/human equivalents, all the animals are white bc siirka is the white god, white hair and skin. so its implied hes literally the planet itself and the animals and. an awful but extremely powerful god whose mere presence means torture and destruction being absent from the world.............. but questionably present? most of siirkaia is supposed to be........... in my head at least, and if i ever write it or make comics, siirkaia is supposed to be a mystery. barren the main character has visions, like youre supposed to piece things together like a soulsborne game lmaO and the idea of figuring out that hold on, all the animals are white, siirka is possibly the planet itself asleep, does that mean siirka has been the animals this whole time? Is he awake and watching everyone through the animals? if not then when he wakes up what will happen? Animals outnumber demos like a million to one given all the types of animals out there......... plus the demos then are really alone. Dunno! I like that

but like............ siirka cant show up bc he’s literally fucking unstoppable, he shows up in the Earth AU which is. canon. bc its literally the cast of siirkaia reincarnated on Earth (barren/kindle are reincarnated, so is Mercy and siirka as O’sullivan, but Stardust appears in a human form visible to humans like a normal person but is actually a spirit, moving back and forth between siirkaia’s world and Earth....) but like. siirka’s mind was taken in a war and thrown by mercy into the ocean of earth so. he shows up like a fucking kaiju emerging from the water when the O’sullivan brothers die, uh. basically his consciousness is kept occupied by reincarnation, the osulliivans are the last of his incarnations, he wakes up. anyway. the asshole fucking dickhead of a spirit took the form of the youngest osullivan brother and you see! I dont want to give that idiot anymore attention than he deserves (none) because the spirit feeds off it and like................ fuck him lmfao

so its like........... the complication is that the ending climax of the story is that urenka- revives siirka’s body OR is possessed by siirka and destroys the world (not intended, hes screaming and crying while he does so because oops hes 99% dependent on siirka, built to be a servant and nothing more) since you know. siirkas body is the world, when its animated again everything is reduced to white hair/white rings in geometric patterns but im like...................... do i WANT siirka there?????????? Forget the spirit thing, theres no greater terror than the unknown baybey!!!! and introducing siirka............ Like he already shifts shape like urenka- does but even worse, wildly, its like a deep dream video in a literal nightmare, impossible to keep track of, his mood switches several times within sentences to wild ends, he does whatever the fuck he wants with every action whether thats tearing people to shreds or crying or terrifying people with his appearance or........................... a million inhuman things i could never conceive of, but their very idea can be captured without confining him to a human depiction....................................... see the issue?? I need him at the end, but i cant show him

anyway. this fuckin wandering rant was. unintentionl. i just wanted to joke that im here saying “fuck you siirka youll never be in this fuckin story” and then i realised i named the story siirkaia. literally supposed to be “siirka’s absent”/””no siirka”/etc LMFAO in my defence. siirkaia has been called A Prince’s Tale for like at least half a decade so i forgot but like. fuck siirka all my homies hate siirka

#also while siirka's english title is Chaos his name actually literally translates to shatter #i think???????? im pretty sure its either the literal translation or its his cults interpretation of it bc his energy shatters glass #which doesnt exist in siirkaia. glass and silver are forbidden (and only the higher ups and the Higher Demos/gods know is exists)#(and how to make it) because together they make mirrors #and spoiler alert.......... siirkaia's world is actually in the astral lmfao and mirrors are gateways out of the world. stardust has one in #his palace up where the higher demos are #siirka #also. o'sullivan.......................... my fave. i mean the middle brother. he doesnt make siirka redeemable but like #he himself........... he means so much to me #hes been my main daydream character since like 2012/2013 and i............ daydream constantly lmao #im slowly finally moving away from him but. he used to be my literal family when i. anyway #hes always meant so much to me #storyline #lore

so, what did you think of the Pokémon: I Choose You movie then?

Honestly it wasn’t bad but wasn’t great.

the rest is underneath cause its kinda long

First of all I don’t think I’ll ever get used to Sarah Natochenny as Ash. Vernoica Taylor is and always will be Ash to me. I dont care. And while Natochenny did fine this movie, in my opinion, it wasn’t the same.

Even with that whole speech “Spearow I am Ash from the town of Pallet” etc felt so lifeless in the movie compared to the 4kids dub.

The new voices for new characters were fine though.

Next, the epic fail that was the dub score. Call me a hypocrite cause I’m a Bruce Faulconer fan, but i was really annoyed they changed the score in the dub. So many INCREDIBLE pieces from the original anime that even 4kids kept in, gone. Except for the very last track, the ending theme.

The Bye Bye butterfree scene was ruined without tears after the cloudy weather imho.

Oh, and only showing Ash get Charmander and Caterpie was a mistake imho. Even if he caught them off screen, he should have gotten his full Kanto team. Squirtle and Bulbasaur are just as iconic as Charmander imho. (They gave Bulbasaur his own reunion moment in SM so ill let it slide)

The ICY movie also did another version of the original gotta catch em all theme, but I dont see why they didn’t just use the full version of the original. (it played twice. First for the ‘recap’ and second for the ‘movie opening’)

Anyway, onto the plot. The first ten minutes or so is just the first episode cut down a bit and animated much better. Oh yeah, the animation was beautiful in this special. Also, cameos from two of the trainers from Mewtwo Strikes Back was nice too. I liked the rainbow wing plot, but the ‘chosen one’ has been done like what, 6 times in Pokemon movies already??

I was disappointed that they didn’t show Brock, Misty and Surge’s gym battles and opted to skip right to Erika. In a movie about Ash and Pikachus bond, Lt Surge would have been the perfect battle for it.

The two supporting cast, Sorrel and Makoto (I cant remember her dub name) were really just there. Sorrell wanted to be a doctor, and Makoto ran away from home. Her mom was Cynthia which is cool.

BUT WHO DOES THAT SOUND LIKE

Oh yeah, Brock and Misty.

Like, I get it. It’s an AU. but if you’re 1) promoting a retelling of the Kanto journey and 2) giving your new characters the same or similar motivations as the ones you replaced, just USE THE ORIGINAL.

I’ll forever be salty as Pokeshipper that we didnt get Misty in the movie, but her appearance in the SM anime mostly rectified that (now if only TPCi will get Rachel Lillis to voice her)

One thing I did really enjoy was that Ash’s Charmeleon and Charizard stayed loyal to him throughout the film. I totally get why he became disobiedent in the proper anime, but it was nice to see Charmeleon hugging Ash after winning a battle.

And the Entei encounter. Entei is my favorite legendary next to lugia and they truly felt legendary in the movie. Kids tryna catch them and Entei is all nope bitch you cant do shit im outta here just like the games lol

Cross felt like a combination of early GSC Silver and Paul from the DP anime, which was fine and I liked his relationship with Lycanroc. There was a moment where his Lycanroc was possessed by marshadow and it bit him after Cross jumped in the way of it attacking Ash and pikachu, and it ended up remembering after Cross got through to it.

And then the climax

Marshadow is strange. He was lowkey (ok highkey giving how he basically fucked with Ash’s mind to the point where he said charmeleon was weak and told Pikachu to fuck off)

And then mind controls about SEVENTY FUCKING POKEMON to hyper beam the shit out of Ash and Pikachu.

HE WAS FUCKING DISINTEGRATED.

And then Pikachu cried and he came back after having a dream. WHEN HE SHOULD BE DEAD.

Ash’s other deaths were a bit easier to justify him being revived. Turned to stone, drowned, and some other time.

But this time HE LITERALLY GOT ERASED. there was nothing left of him but hi fuckin hat and sparkles lmfao

And then Pikachu talks. Yeah, no, please never again who thought that was a good idea

My whole theater went like “whaaaaat???” it was bad lol

Anyway, that’s it. Not a bad movie, flawed but I still enjoyed it for what it was worth. Im gonna watch it again in Japanese with the original score at some point and see how my feelings change.

Overall i’d give it a 6/10.

How Can I be Like Danny Mendez

“No… Im busy right now were in the middle of a tournament, but ill messg u later..”

“okay good luck Jamie, don’t fuck up.” Felix responded.

“yeah I hope not”

“Uh maybe when the tournament is done, we can go for a night drive?” I said. “Lmfao.. only if I can drive.”

“Yeah, like I’m asking for my insurance to go up.”

“Don’t act like your daddy cant afford it” I had the biggest eye roll ever.

“Ok so tonight, you’re not gonna bail on me this time?”

“Well I’m not doing anything with you Jamie, I mean it.”

“We’ll see.” Cheers from the audience roars, as our robots stands in battle with Upper Canada College. With every claw clenched onto UCC, its steel barriers started tearing down onto the battle floor. My toes began soaking my socks as I start to sweat profusely, with only 30 seconds left on the clock. Our robot stands ground with both claws raised in the air, it dug its claw onto UCC, and ripped out its functioning wires. Roars from the angst audience fumed the steel stadium as me and my team screamed on top of our lungs, we were victorious with the entire audience cheering for us. Joy ran through all of us as we cluttered in a cluster hugging each other, until my phone went off, another snapchat notification from Felix. I quickly put my phone away and began soaking in our victory, while my phone continued ringing.

And that was it, a year of robotic practice every day from 4-9 was gone, gone in victory. My team mates were more than just team mates, as cliché as it is, we became close friends. From hours sitting around a robot, programming, designing and coding it, it was inevitable that we’d be close. All 9 of us saw one another every day for hours, and slowly; we went from knowing each other’s names, to opening up about our life story sitting around some robot. I remember when Danny told everyone about his mom, he talked freely about his mother in prison and his father being deceased, and we all just listened. We coded, designed and programmed while listening for an hour about Danny. I wanted to ask questions like “well who’s taking care of you?” or “how are you so resilient?” But one question that was so dire to me was “how can I be like you Danny Mendez?”

And till this day I hold to my heart the question “How can I be like you Danny Mendez.”

But I knew at that time we weren’t close enough to even ask those personal questions. And soon enough as Danny opens up so did Ashley, than Mohammed, and Alec. Danny being Danny started a trend, but it was only me that didn’t open up, and I knew that’s what the others were thinking. I mean we got to hear about Mohammed’s first time losing his virginity, and Austin’s grandmother having a stroke in front him, but I don’t have anything interesting. Well I rarely get to see my dad because he’s working? But…. Then again Danny doesn’t even have one, so I cant say that. So instead I just stayed quite about my life in general. Things are a lot harder when one, you don’t have anything remotely interesting in your life, and two, and two, you never open up to anyone, literally anyone.

But Danny wasn’t like me; Danny is someone who my mother would love me to be. At first he seemed like the guy who just talked about himself because he wants to, because he needs to, because he’s conceited. But I realized that the reason he did it was because he knew it would start something, he did it for a reason, and he wanted everyone to feel some sense of comfort. H was dead silent whenever someone would open up, not even one word from his mouth ever came out. I watched him, he was genuinely interested in others, and he was considerate with what he was going to say. And soon enough Danny kind’ve became the supporter of the group, always the one making jokes, and always the one cheering us up.

But I couldn’t tell if I wanted to be Danny Mendez, or be with Danny Mendez. From the corner of my eye I saw Danny make his way through the crowd. All of a sudden my palms became even sweatier than before; I quickly dried my hands while thinking of something to say.

“Uh, congrats man you did great.” My voice cracked. “Nice voice crack” Danny chuckles and winks. “Well I mean all I did was design, but while you Jamie, did all the programming, you’re almost like the young Bill Gates but equal on the looks spectrum.” As the stadium begins to clear, numbers of bodies started dying down while it was only me and Danny.

“You guys coming were gonna head out and grab something to eat” Alec said while walking towards the exit. Danny stares at me for assurance. “yeah we’ll catch up with you guys.”

Can you believe that out of the year working together as a group, this was my very first time spending alone time with Danny? I mean there would be times we would go out after practice with other people to eat, but I’d never been alone with him. But with him it’s weird, it feels weird being alone with him and I don’t know why. I get this tingly sensation in my stomach that I have never felt for anyone before. My phone rings and it’s my mom, “hey what time are you going to head home? Are you going to grab something to eat? How’s your tournament?”

“Yeah I might just get something on the way home, and idk probably late, and yeah we won…… finally right?” As I put my phone away a notification pops up again, the phone vibrated so loud that it echoed the dark stadium. As Danny picks the pieces of our robot off the ground his quick wit and remarks made the best of him. “Well aren’t you popular.”

“Yeah yeah, its nothing.” I took a look at my phone and it was Felix. Fuck, I forgot that I was supposed to meet him. But it’s likely he’s going to bail on me again, because it’s Felix. After 9 months of talking to him he’d never wanted to meet up with me, but now? All of a sudden now he does? Fuck, this kid is making me lose my mind. “So are we still up for tonight? 😊” “So what are we going to do now?” Danny looks up and glances at me, the light seeping through the exit door halos around his face, he looked like an angel.

As my phone continues beeping, the vibration becomes more and more insignificant. All I could notice and stare at was Danny’s dark eyes and dark hair, it adds so much mystery to his face, there is something about him that you just want to get to know more off, it’s addicting almost. Once you get a bit of what he has to offer, you cant stop. I quickly closed my phone screen and threw it back in my pocket, and again it rang.

“We can do whatever you wanna do, you name it, I’ll make it happen.” An awkward smile escapes and Danny chuckles. “Well everything is closed at this time, its like 10 on a Sunday.” “Mcdonalds?” I said so seriously. “How romantic… well I’m just going to lay right here until we think of something, I mean I got some joints left in my back pack and half a bottle of coke.”

The light seeping through the exit door in the dark stadium creates such an eerie glow, and there we were, sitting in it, lying down on the cold floors of the stadium where we won. Who knew that after 9 months I’d be laying on the floor with a guy, where we were victorious together. And for hours we just talked and talked our words came out so freely and nothing was being held back at all. I never in my life ever talked to someone so in depth before, where I didn’t have to think about holding back. Danny is someone that I’ve always dreamt of being. I always dreamt of what it would be like if I was outgoing, if I could talk to people so easily, if I could radiate the energy he does. This was the first time where time felt so endless with him, where I didn’t want time to start or end, where I wanted to be frozen in time with him. I had never wanted to be with someone so badly before.

“So what’s going to happen after this Jamie? Where are you going to go?” He said so innocently, while we both stare at the gray roof of the ceiling.

“I’m leaving you duh.”

With a chuckle from me, Danny punches me in the arm, not hard, but not soft either.

“Don’t be an asshole, I’m being serious. And I know you’re gonna miss me, you’re gonna miss me Mr. Killburn.”

And was he ever right, I am going to miss him, a lot. I’m going to miss this moment and everything about Danny. And I’m afraid, because I don’t know what’s going to happen when he leaves. Will it be inevitable and we don’t end up talking? Or will Danny Mendez stay with me?

“Well, I’m heading off to Waterloo for business admin. And what are you doing with your life?” “International development.” He stretches his arms and lies on his side facing me. “Well where?” I stretched out my arms and faced him as well. A strand of his hair fell down the side of his face block his eye, and me being awkward, I moved it behind his ear.

“well… where?” “um, NYU.”

“Oh so you’re really leaving far..”

“yup, really far.”

“Are you going to be sad?” Yeah, yeah I’m going to be fucking miserable as hell, but I had people in my life that came and left. But I knew there was nothing I could do to stop him from going, who am I stop someone? The only thing I could do is smile and accept it. But deep down I want to put him in chains.

“Meh.” I responded. My phone vibrated again, and it was Felix.

“Wow who’s that blowing up your phone?”

“This guy”

“Told you so, told you that you’re popular.” He said

“Yeah well I was kind’ve suppose to meet him but…”

“but you’re here with me? Laying on some cold ground talking to me, while you blew plans with someone?” Danny quickly sits up right and stares down at me like I did something wrong.

“well its not like he hasn’t bailed on me before, he did it almost everytime.” “why?”

“I don’t know… Maybe because I’m ugly?” I said almost jokingly. “Well has he ever been on a date before? Maybe he’s scared?” Danny talked as if he was defending him.

“I don’t know, maybe.” I just wanted it to stop; I didn’t want to talk about this, but I didn’t know how to stop it. Danny is so persistent and persuasive and me? Well, I’m kind’ve a push over.

“What did you want out of it?” “what do you mean” I responded while getting up as well. “I mean what did you want out of talking to him?” “What every other guy like me wants” “like what?” “I don’t know, sex?”

Soon enough it became silent, the free flowing moment we had became hail falling to the ground. I didn’t know how to recover or what to say, I didn’t know if I should talk about him or if I should change the subject. But I knew I didn’t want to upset Danny.

“Well, at first I met him on tinder, and I right off the bat told him I only wanted to hookup, so I don’t know why he kept talking to me, even after nine months.”

“Maybe because he likes you and he wanted more than a hookup?” He responded so sarcastically.

“Yeah.”

“I think that’s why he kept blowing you off whenever you wanted to see him, because he knew you didn’t want to meet up to get to know him, you did it so you can hookup with him….” Danny’s facial expressions became one of anger; it was like he solved some big mystery or crime.

“I haven’t thought of that.” And I haven’t.

“I mean he asked me one time after nine months if I liked him back.”

“And what did you say?” “I said yeah. “

“and do you mean it, do you truly mean it Jamie?”

“I don’t know anymore.” And after 4 hours my phone received another notification, Danny and I stared at each other than the phone, we both thought it was Felix. But It wasn’t, it wasn’t him who messaged me.
