bsd characters and how they sleep (with you)

i fear i wrote this in twenty minutes in a feverish haze and have no idea how we got here... forgive any spelling/grammar errors but i hope it's cutesy characters: dazai, atsushi, yosano, chuuya, ranpo im taking requests!

dazai:

ABSOLUTELY EASILY the clingiest one

will completely wrap his limbs around you from behind or from the front

it’s so hard to pry him off of you in the morning it’s like he gets ten times heavier when he’s asleep

also sleeps without socks but complains about being cold all the time

makes the both of you sleep with not one but TWO weighted blankets some days

it’s a little ridiculous but you put up with it because you love him

he also runs SO COLD

toes are freezing, hands are freezing, NOSE is freezing

he sticks his nose into the crook of your neck when he’s clinging onto you

you’ve only shrieked ONCE from the shock. maybe twice

manages to stay still all throughout the night but that’s only because he’s too busy latching onto you like a leech

atsushi:

too nervous to ask you to hold him so instead he’ll hold your hand while you sleep

it’s the sweetest thing ever

absolutely wakes up in the middle of the night if he feels your hand slip from his and will reach for it again

it takes like a month of sleeping in the same bed for you to recognize all his little quirks and the things he likes

you learn that he loves it when you kiss his hairline right before he falls asleep

it leads to a lot more peaceful nights and he doesn’t wake up in a cold sweat as often anymore

sometimes he ends up wrapping an arm around your torso while he’s asleep without even realizing it

when he wakes up he doesn’t get embarrassed or anything but DOES pretend to be asleep until you get up so that he can stick to you for longer

yosano:

THE MOST VIOLENT SLEEPER

sleeping in the same bed with her is a death wish most nights

she rolls around, flails, will wake up in the middle of the night and mumble something unintelligible before hitting you in the face

she’s crazy! she’s your hot gf! you sit there and take it like the loyal spouse you are!

her FAVE way to sleep is face down, starfish-pose on top of you

yes you can’t breathe at all but yes the weight is comforting

when she sleeps like that sometimes you’ll get a little treat during the night, and instead of hitting you in the face in her sleep she’ll kiss along your cheek all warm and soft

sometimes that ends in her drooling on your face

makes up for her drool and nightly attacks by waking you up with kisses (and bites on your CHEEK) and even breakfast when she’s in a good mood

chuuya:

he loves you so much but he is also dramatic

which means… he has his own sleep routine and bed set-up and if it’s disturbed he will not get a second of rest

he invests in a california king bed so that you can have your side and he can have his side

he sets the thermostat to a certain temperature, picks out blankets depending on the weather, adjusts his pillows every night, sleeps with an eyemask… it’s a little bit overkill

you don’t make fun of him for it because you know he’d kill you

sleeps on his back with his hands folded on his chest like he’s in a COFFIN

also sleeps like the dead and you’ve woken up a few times crying his name because you thought he was actually dead

if you try holding onto him during the night he’ll flinch without meaning to and start mumbling curses to himself

it takes you a while to get used to it

he makes up for his stringent sleep routine by letting you nap on the couch with him once in a while

he can handle that at the very least

will totally collapse right on top of you on the couch and fall asleep after a long day at work

sedated immediately if you run your fingers through his hair

lets out the cutest snores BUT DO NOT TELL HIM THAT OR HE WILL NEVER SLEEP ON YOU AGAIN!!!!

ranpo:

so incredibly fussy

moves around so much in his sleep and can never get comfortable

is always pushing your head off your pillows and rotating them so that you can both sleep on the cold side

kicks off his blankets just to complain about being cold and makes you lean over the bed to pick the covers back up and tuck him in

favorite way to sleep with you is facing you with his arms wrapped around your neck

this DOES end up in him accidentally choking you sometimes

if he gets too hot he has no shame in pushing you away and OFF THE BED

you put up with it because you love him and you wouldn’t have it any other way

chews on your hair??? in your sleep???

you wake up with half your hair covered in drool

have you seen that one video of the girl’s rabbit biting a strand of her hair clean off. that’s him. he’s the rabbit.

has a weak spot for sleepy kisses AUUUGGGHHH

will never initiate them but will always melt into your hands if you squeeze his face and give him a big fat forehead kiss

Bungo character's reaction to you drawing them

Dazai

He snuck up on you while you both were supposed to be working

"Y/nnnn~! I'm bored!"

You quickly hid the drawing but he still snuck a peak of it

"What's that?"

He ofc snatched the sketchbook

"My my! It seems you've drawn quite a handsome man!" "NO NO NO"

He proceeded to run around the office showing off your skills as you ran after him yelling

He also took the drawing home with him and actually genuinely loves it

Kunikida

Unlike Dazai, you're actually the one who gave the drawing to him

"Hey uh, Kida?" "What is it? I still have a lot of work-"

When he saw the drawing he was actually speechless

You thought he died for a second as he just mindlessly stared at the drawing

"...Kida-?"

He reached out and grabbed the sketchbook, his eyes never leaving the drawing

"This. This is me, correct?" "Yeah, I just thought you were the perfect model"

You start to get self-conscious as he goes silent again.

"Can I keep this?" "Huh?"

He looked up at you with a genuine smile as he asked again:

"Can I keep it? You're drawing skills are impeccable. I'm honored to have been your muse."

Anddddd you blush immediately and agree

He has it framed by his bed

Atsushi

You also gave your drawing to Atsushi

"I have a gift for you" "Really? For me?"

As soon as he saw the drawing he bursted up out of his seat with stars in his eyes

"Wow, you actually drew this!? It's incredible! You even got my eyes and everything! You really have a gift!"

You smiled as he stared excitedly at it

After he was done spouting out praises and compliments he gave you a big hug

He keeps it in a drawer by his desk

Ranpo

Ranpo deduced it was a drawing of him by the way you kept glancing across the room at him

While you were sharpening your pencil, he snuck over and ripped out the page

"Ugh- RANPO!"

He opened his eyes to get a better look at the drawing

"Awe y/n, you just can't take your eyes off the world's greatest detective can you?" "Wait it's not done!"

He childishly ran around the office as you ran after him

You both were stopped by Kunikida and you got your drawing back

Yosano

You were injured on a mission

After Yosano was done healing you the drawing fell out of your pocket

She was gonna just put it back in your pocket, but then she noticed it had her name on it

She opened it up and was shocked to see such a well done drawing of herself

She blushed and admired the drawing for a long while before folding it and putting it in her own pocket

She kept it and you assumed you lost it

Kenji (Platonic)

You gave the drawing to Kenji as a present

"Wow you really made this with your own hands!"

He was amazed at the drawing and smiled brightly at you

You treated him to beef stew after for all his hard work

Kyoka (Platonic)

To make Kyoka feel more welcome at the agency you made her the drawing

She thought it was a picture at first

"..Why do you have a picture of me?"

After you explained that it was a drawing and that you made it she got really embarrassed

she stared at it for a while and then gave you a hug

You patted her head and helped her finish her paperwork after

Chuuya

He came to pick you up for work

While on his motorcycle the drawing flew out of your pocket

You immediately panicked and begged him to go back

As he parked you ran around searching everywhere for it

"Is it really that important? It's just a drawin'."

He saw that you were genuinely distressed and felt bad

He started helping you look for it after calming you down a bit

Unfortunately, he was the one to find it

"Hey is this-"

When he saw it was him he full stopped

You saw he had it in his hand and froze as he said nothing

He burst into laughter

"All of that for a drawing of me!?"

You guys skipped work and he watched as you redrew it as payment for laughing at you

Akutagawa

You were too scared to give it to him in person so you just left it on his desk

When he first saw it he was confused, but he saw it was signed by you

He didn't say anything to you about it the next day so you got scared

You slowly forgot about it till randomly on a mission you both were on

While you two were walking to the destination he randomly spoke up:

"Oh by the way thanks for the drawing. It was well done." "..Huh-"

He didn't say anything else about it and you were very confused

Gin

You and Gin regularly hang out outside of work: during one of these times you gave it to her

She was really embarrassed about it and muttered out a "Thank you.."

She cherishes it and keeps it by her bed

Poe

you hid the drawing in one of Poe's books

When he found it he was amazed

You even included Karl and that made him happy

He wrote a poem about it and he keeps both the drawing and the poem he wrote by his bed

Fyodor

You gave it to him

He just stared at it for a long long time

He nodded before putting it in his pocket

"I'll be keeping this."

He likes it ;)

Nikolai

He grabbed it from you using his ability

He looked at it with stars in his eyes before jumping up excitedly

"Quiz timeeeee~!" "Oh boy.."

"Question one: Why did you draw me, Nikolai Gogol?" "..I just thought you were pretty."

"Excellent! Question two: Do you always think I'm prettyyyy?"

You walked away from him

Ango

Ango works a lot so you found it hard to find the right time to give it to him

Eventually, you just gave it to him at the office

He stared at it for a long time, and didn't say anything

You got scared as he stood up and walked over to you

He suddenly engulfed you in a big hug which threw you off for a second

When he pulled away he had tears in his eyes which made you PANIC

"ANGO- ARE YOU-" "It's beautiful. This is the nicest gift I've ever gotten."

He keeps it framed by his desk so he can look at it every day.

dazai is a fair 7 of 10. i don't have a lot to say about him, but he most definitely gets jealous easily

kunikida is a 5 of 10. when he's with you and you get hit spoken to by someone else, he just takes control of the situation and leaves with you. obviously against your choices, but he doesn't trust you.

ranpo is a 6 of 10. doesn't get too worried about other guys because he knows you wouldn't go for anyone else other than the greatest detective ever, but when another guy flirts with you, he just feels the need to.. step in.

yosano is a 7 of 10. she doesn't mind when others speak to you, as long as they aren't flirting with you, and that's a loose term with her. asking for directions in a large mall could get someone's fingers chopped off if she was in a particularly annoyed mood.

fukuzawa is a 4 of 10. he doesn't care if people talk to you either, but flirting is off the table with him. even so, he'll just leave the area and take you with him, he can't just let some other guy talk to you, are you crazy?

akutagawa is a 8 of 10. if someone's making small talk or something he doesn't care, but even speaking to you or looking at you for too long is just like asking for him to beat them senselessly.

chuuya is a 8 of 10. like akutagawa, small talk doesn't matter to him. you're socializing, who cares? but he's absolutely jealous of your friends, especially your close ones. strangers, he can beat the shit out of those, but your friends? he can't do anything there, so he just sits in silence.

higuchi is an 9 of 10. she hates when anyone else talks to you, she just can't stand it. she'll openly tell you how much she hates it when other people beside her 'flirt' with you, and makes you promise not to hurt her like that again.

gin is a 3 of 10. she does get jealous of other people like your closer friends, but doesn't act on anything, just sits in silence. maybe she'll express to you she was jealous, but she won't hurt anyone unless they make advances on you

tachihara is a 6 of 10. he does get jealous of your friends, but doesn't hate them. he just wants to be in their place. who says you should spend all your time with them? leave some room for him, won't you?

sigma is a 7 of 10. he won't make direct moves if he's jealous, he'll only tell you he's jealous afterward, or work behind scenes to get rid of the certain person he thinks talks to you a little too much for his liking.

fyodor is a 9 of 10. he doesn't think you'll talk to anyone else, it's about others talking to you. he just can't have you talking to anyone but him. why would you need to anyway?

nikolai is a 8 of 10. i don't have a whole lot to say about him either, but he's not afraid to be... himself,, if someone talks to you a little too much.

↪you two were the absolute worst when it came to completing paperwork. you would most often zone out and that's fine but then dazai would encourage you to join in with his antics a little too easily.

↪energy practically bouncing off eachother as you two always seemed to have endless amounts. especially when it came to be childish at work.

↪dazai would also offer you his hands to fiddle with should you need to. he found a comfort in it, even if you zoned out half way through as you still did it subconsciously.

↪but should the time ever need you to fully pay attention, you bet he's great at helping you stay focused and on track.

akiko yosano ★↷

↪the absolute best for this sort of thing. she probably knows more about adhd than you do, so is very good at helping you out especially being so sweet with it.

↪short attention span that affects your work? she's got ten different methods to help ready. cant sit still for too long? she'll happily walk around and keep you company.

↪she finds your childishness rather endearing as you do rarely take it too far and she thinks it's rather cute sometimes. surprisingly loves your company in her office guaranteed she has no patients.

↪you both are very similar in some regards. you both find it hard to hold your attention span on pretty most everything. and you both can be rather childish which then in turn seems to bounce off one another.

↪making both of your productivities go way down. but it's not like anyone can complain as you both eventually get stuff done.

↪however one thing that ranpo couldn't stand sometimes was when you got extremely bored and started hiding his things. more specifically his sweets - not eating just hiding.

↪but he never stayed angry for long as he often got them back and he really just couldn't stay mad at you.

↪at first your childish nature did remind him of an old partner... a rather annoying one but you were different. he could actually stand your traits and find them endearing sometimes.

↪he enjoyed your antics sometimes as he always enjoyed seeing you so happy. however he also knew how to get you to focus when needed.

↪would also be more than happy to lend you his hands when he's near to fiddle with. he found it rather relaxingand you enjoyed fiddling with them so it was a win win.

↪he never really could keep up with your energy. he really didn't understand how you had so much so often and so often just let you do your thing and he'd do his.

↪ sometimes you would get bored and decide to hang around him. unintentionally annoying him but due to his own thing and he'd sort of try and make you stay still - ultimately failing.

↪would hate it should you zone out somewhere that put you in danger. always lightly scolding you for it. eventually became an expert at stopping you zoning out.

↪ another one that could often be stumped with your seemingly never ending energy. never being able to keep up with you and your childishness.

↪but he always found it rather endearing and would always watch you with a fond smile. karl also became a victim to your boredom as he cured it quite well.

↪ initially didn't know what to do when you zoned out as nothing seemed to break your trance but eventually snapped you out of it.

↪ always looked for ways to help you in day to day activities you may struggle with. but loved how openly childish and silly you always were.

sigma ★↷

↪can't keep up with your energy part 3.

↪he has no clue how you have so much energy practically all the time. he admires it but is more confused than anything. that doesn't mean he doesn't like it.

↪he loves how childish you can be, especially because if it's in a more private location he can also indulge in you activities and feel free in a way.

↪his hair would make for a great distraction. and he happily let you play with his hair when you got bored or fidgety. he probably zones out with you.

nikolai gogol ★↷

↪another one that bounces off your energy. you both radiate such childishness and silly behaviour that it fuels the over to the point the other is practically encouraging the other to do more.

↪loves every little quirk that comes with your adhd. he either helps you with some or completely makes it worse by encouraging more childish behaviour.

↪ another to gladly lend you his hands to fiddle with. that or his cloak. especially because no matter how far away he can always offer you his hand.

TECCHOU SUEHIRO

he chose to chase after the criminals, and that led you to be killed in his nightmare

tecchou felt strongly about justice, everyone that knew who he was knew that. so on missions, he was always sure to take care of criminals and save civilians

in his nightmare, things were getting rough on a mission. the two of you, the only ones working, were split up from each other. instead of making his way towards you, tecchou hunted down the leader of the crime organization on his own

you should’ve been alright as a fellow hunting dog. but in this situation, you became heavily injured. you were bleeding out for who knows how long when tecchou found you

“it’s okay,” you reassured him as you bled out, “we all make mistakes sometimes. this one… this one just happened to be a bit more troubling, haha.”

when he wakes up from this nightmare, you’re still sleeping peacefully next to him. he’s freighted, so what he does is try to wake you up. you look at him groggily once he does

i definitely think that tecchou’s facial expression would make it obvious that he was scared. his eyes are opened slightly wider and hand has a slight tremble as it holds your arm

“hey, tell me what’s wrong? did you have a nightmare?”

at your touch and voice, tecchou lets out a breath he had been holding in. the events replay in his mind before he tells you what happened

he places a hand over his heart once he realizes that telling you everything has helped him calm down. he knows you were listening to every word, and he appreciates not only that, but the fact that you were still there with him

“don’t leave me, y/n,” tecchou begged.

his slender fingers were intertwined with yours while he pulled them close to his chest. he had never been as scared of losing anyone that much until you came along. he was strong, and so were you, but loving you came with the natural fear of loss.

you promised, “i won’t. i won’t leave you, i swear.”

before you guys go back to sleep, he’ll fall into your arms and will become the little spoon. my bb just wants to be held after experiencing that nightmare :((

OSAMU DAZAI

he lost you in his nightmare

dazai says that he loses things he doesn’t want to lose, which made this dream— nightmare all too real

it was like reliving everything that happened with oda. you were already at death’s door when he arrived and as you walked past that door, his blood-stained arms held you

i don’t see dazai waking up to this nightmare screaming, crying, or even telling you about it. a silly nightmare was all it was, right?

but if he has that same silly nightmare constantly, then i imagine that he’d lose sleep over it. the nightmare was a reminder that you were someone important for him to lose. avoiding it meant sleeping less, or not even sleeping at all

not knowing the details, you were concerned about if he was sleeping well, or sleeping at all. you fall asleep before he does, but he seems to be wide awake when you just get up in the early morning

although he tried to be energetic around you like normal, it wouldn’t be long before he’d laze around as if something was clouding his mind

if you make the decision to confront him, dazai will surely play dumb at first

“work is just so tiring these days! kunikida won’t stop piling work on me~” a lie.

you only figure out he lied once kunikida calls you. since you don’t work at the agency, you’ve only talked with him and a few of the other members a few times

“thank you for calling me, kunikida-san. i appreciate it.”

you found yourself bowing to dazai’s co-worker while you all stood by the main office door. a few of the other members sat at their desks, either watching or minding their own business.

the blond called you to bring dazai, who had been constantly sleepy as of late, home. although he ignored the work he was given, he still managed to act exhausted instead of lazy like he normally would. if he wasn’t going to get anything done during the day, he might as well be sent home to rest.

dazai rubbed the back of his neck, thinking that his partner calling you to the agency was unnecessary. not only that, but his cover had been blown. once you finish talking with kunikida, you take dazai’s hand and walk with him to your shared apartment. it was a quiet walk from there to home.

the moment he’s inside, dazai will flop onto the couch. it takes a little bit of convincing to get him to talk about the repeating nightmare

he thinks he doesn’t need it at first, but comforting him actually affects him greatly. it lets him know that he has your support as he fights his own battles. please have him close so that he can put his hands on your waist and rest his head by the crook of your neck

“you can tell me anything,” you tell him. “there’s a lot about yourself you keep a secret, and that’s okay. i get that there are things you can’t find yourself to share, but this is something you have to. talking about these things are important, dazai. i don’t want you losing sleep over it, m’kay? just talk with me.”

to love and be loved is a curse— but even so, dazai couldn’t resist

RANPO EDOGAWA

you were set up to be killed and he didn’t realize until it was too late in his nightmare

i feel like ranpo would play it off as something stupid that he doesn’t even understand, but you know better. the two of you would have to be hugging in bed for him to tell you what happened. as he does, his hands grasp the back of your shirt and he buries his face into your chest

her lips trembled as the breaths she let out were short and shaky. even if you hold her, her fists are clenched. it takes a moment with you rubbing her back to calm her nerves

being with her means you know her past with mori during the war. if you knew all about that, then yosano will definitely be open about the nightmare

she immediately feels a sense of relief after telling you about it, but is still shaken up. yosano will embrace you and try to fall asleep in your arms, even if the image of your dead body keeps on popping up in her mind

“a nightmare,” you reassure her, “it’s just a nightmare. i’m right here, darling.”
