Welcoming Legacy (It welcomes you) - SAGAU ft. Foul Legacy Tartaglia

Ever since you woke up in Teyvat, you’ve been… confused. The memories of your previous life fading, leaving you to wander. One thing was for certain though, the people here despised you for the face you wore. That was, until waking in the Snezhnayan wilderness after another death, a certain abyssal harbingers saves you from the cold.

cw: imposter au SAGAU shenanigans, temporary death, hyperthermia, passing out, not very yandere (but from his perspective it definitely would be), hurt/comfort, Capitano cameo! Written to be x reader ish, but it’s vague and ur kinda cold so can be read as Romantic or Platonic! Will be tagging as both lemme know if it shouldn’t be.

It’s almost funny, you think, how he’s the one who reconsized you first.

No. Not recognised. This was the first time you’d met any of them. The vision holders, the ‘characters’ that you once fawned over and held very dear. They wouldn’t know your name, your face—except for the fact they did. And they hated you for it. “Impersonator”, “Heretic”, “Damned”, “Witch.”

They all looked at you as if you’d committed a grave crime. A slight that could not be forgiven. But how could you have? You were given this name, and born with this face.

And yet you were hunted. And yet you were killed. Arrow through the heart, spear through the back, claymore to the ribs. The pain was unbearable, but death wasn’t the end. Each time you closed your eyes, hoping for an end to the nightmare, you awoke somewhere new.

You recognized the landscape from hours spent playing the game, and quickly learned to avoid settlements, villages, and most importantly, vision holders. The pain of death was too much, leaving your body trembling with sobs and quietly pleading to whatever force put you on Teyvat to just let you go home.

After the fourth death—at the hands of an electro charged spear, courtesy of a certain mahamantra—you woke up, shaking uncontrollably. Only this time, not from phantom pains or the emotional toll of death. This time, is was due to a heavy, bone deep, unnatural cold.

Snezhnaya.

Of course it had to be Snezhnaya.

You whimpered, cursing your luck. This would be a slow, painful death if you couldn’t find shelter and fast.

Stumbling to your feet—bare, the clothes that stayed with you after death did not include them—you looked around pitifully. A snowy forest. Beautiful, but useless, and hard to see far in. You’d never been to Snezhnaya in game either, so there was no way you’d be able to find shelter. Pitifully, you dragged yourself under a tree, curling into yourself under the pine’s branches, hoping it wouldn’t be too painful. Achingly, you let your eyes close, waiting for the next place.

Only, before the cold took you, a rumbling call broke through the tranquil silence of the forest.

Blearily, you opened your eyes. Some kind of beast? It wasn’t like you were familiar with the creatures of Snezhnaya. But it didn’t sound like a normal enemy monster. It was sad, keening… longing.

It called out again. You… would rather die quickly to a beast than slowly to hypothermia, you supposed.

“Here,” you called out weakly. You clicked your tongue a few times, as if luring in a cat. “Come on.”

You laughed slightly. Had delusion from hypothermia set in so quickly? You were making kissy noises at the monster in the forest. Luring in your death with soft sweet noises.

The forest was still for a moment. And then it wasn’t.

Snow crunched underfoot of what was undoubtedly a large creature. You were pretty sure you heard the waning bend of pine trees as it shoved pass.

Was this a mistake? Probably. You were too cold to care. Maybe its claws would be warm as it tore you apart. Ha. Wouldn’t that be nice?

At some point your eyes had slipped closed again, but it was close now. You could hear it. So close—you waited for the sink of claws into your flesh—

It came to a stop in front of you, inches away, maybe, if the warm breath on your skin was any indication.

In a raspy, warbling tone, it spoke English. “Creator?”

What?

You opened your eyes again, and gasped as you saw… Tartaglia? No, not him, exactly. But, his Foul Legacy. The rough plates of armor adorning his limbs, the red mask with a singular clouded pearl eye in the center, the sheer size of him.

“Ajax?” You mumbled.

“Creator!” It said again, rough, desperate, as if it had a throat not made for speaking.

“Hi.” You said simply, before your eyes slipped closed.

Warmth.

There was warmth.

A lot of warmth.

Fire.

You sighed, not daring to open your eyes for fear it might disappear. That you might still be laying in the snow, your blood crystallizing in your veins.

A smooth, clawed hand cupped your cheek, then your jaw, tilting your head back. Was this when the pain would come? You stirred a bit, but little nothing happened. The thing holding you sighed, gently pressing the sides of your cheek to open your jaw. What? What was happening? You hardly had time to panic before something warm was poured into your mouth, and his inhuman hand latched around your mouth to keep it shut.

You whimpered, eyes still closed—gods you really didn’t want to open them. You really couldn’t mentally confront what was happening. For now, it needed to stay invisible, it needed to not be real—as the liquid sat in your mouth. You refused to swallow, but it tasted like broth? Was it broth? You decided you didn’t care, not so long as you were being forced to drink—

That was, until its other hand came up and began to massage your throat. You sputtered, the rough finger pads gently rubbing against your throat forcing you to swallow after a moment.

It’s… nice. Warm but not hot, and definitely just some sort of broth now that you think about it. The next time the edge of a bowl is set against your lips, you drink of your own volition.

Whatever was caring for you seemed happy, as its rumbling chest, reminiscent of a cat's purr, seemed to indicate. Honestly, you were too, going slack against it, hiding your face in what you think is it’s neck, lined with a mane of fur, as it rubbed circles into your scars. The old aches of death soothing under its fingerpads.

Sleep came easy.

The next time you woke up, you weren’t so afraid to open your eyes.

Strangely calm, you didn’t even jump at the sight in front of you.

Probably seven feet tall, with thick, armored plates running up his body, a mix of purples, blues, blacks and reds coloring his body. His mask was a dull red, and an abyssal blue, almost jewel like eye was set in the center.

Foul legacy. Tartaglia’s abyssal form. This was Childe, no—

“Ajax?”

He practically melted, wrapping around you at the raspy croak of his own name.

You sighed, snuggling into the small fur mane around his neck.

“What are… what are you doing here?” Wasn’t he out of the country? You weren’t sure what point in the story you arrived during, but none of them had him in his homeland for long. “Isn’t being in that form for too long dangerous?”

He smiled. Well, ‘smile’ was a bad term. He curled back his lips and opened his plated maw, one you didn’t know he had. It was hidden among the red armor of his mask, which you were now convinced were just, ya know, his face when in foul legacy. His maw, black and almost a void inside, lined with row after row of sharp, shark-like teeth. He yawned, wide, before snapping his mouth shut with a little clack.

You couldn’t help the small giggle that bubbled up from your throat.

He seemed to like that, purring as he set his chin atop your head.

Your giggle faded away, and your face fell. You gave a soft sigh, body aching slightly. With a quiet voice, you could help but ask what’d been gnawing at you since you woke.

“Why… Why are you helping me?”

“Because the ones who hurt you are fools.”

That was not Ajax.

You turned your head, towards the entrance of the cave Ajax had holed the two of you up in.

When you saw who it was, you shied into the arms of Foul Legacy, who was happy enough to wrap his arms around you.

Capitano’s intimidating figure blocked the entrance of the cave, mask glinting in the fire light.

“I apologize for the late arrival, I was combing the west side of the valley for you. Tartaglia seemed to find you first.”

“I…” What?

Capitano stepped deeper into the cave, his steps were confident, but the closer he got, he lowered his head. It almost looked like a sign of respect.

A mere few strides away, he reached a hand out—to greet you? Touch you? You were sure, as before he could do anything, Ajax dragged you closer and responded to Capitano with a guttural growl.

“Quiet, eleventh.” Capitano commanded. Despite his unhappiness, Ajax obliged, letting Capitano closer.

A cold metal gauntlet approached your face slowly, before cupping your face. Gently, it tilted your jaw up, forcing you to meet the void of his mask.

You didn’t know that when the firelight hit your irises, they glittered with constellations, or that the veins barely visible against the white of your eyes were gold.

What you did see through, was the way his heavy shoulders dropped, and you heard a reverent sigh of relief. He dipped his head lower, and you swore crystal blue eyes blinked slowly down at you.

“Welcome to the waking world, dear Creator. Celestia has kept you asleep and unseeing for far too long.”

Omg this had so much more but the plot got out of hand so I just took the first bits and left the rest out. TECHNICALLY there’s lord and explanations but I know I’d never finish a cohesive plot so here we are! My first attempt as SAGAU!

You know what I can't get enough of? Speculation about what the fictional novel Proud Immortal Demon Way says about its fictional author. Because it would be completely possible to make a story like this without that connection. I'm not sure I've read any other transmigration story where the author was a character, so just that addition adds a lot of interesting texture to the situation even without getting deep in the author's head, but it's so interesting how deep I can speculate in so many directions if I think about getting in his head.

And oh man, I could talk for AGES about how Shang Qinghua and his iconic protagonist reflect each other, but a lot of people have written about that already! Including in the medium of fic, which is my favorite way to consume that kind of crunch. So let's talk about familial neglect and mistreatment and the author's favorite character.

Honestly, when I look at how iconic this ship is, I'm astonished there aren't more hit novels where the author gets yeeted into their own book and has to navigate platonic or romantic relationships with their own characters. A lot of the parallels between Shang Qinghua and Luo Binghe are about them being alike in ugly and vulnerable ways, ways I don't think either of them likes about themselves, and regarding aspects of their personalities that I don't think they'd be happy discussing period. Like, Binghe very much hates himself, that's right there on the page. And Shang Qinghua is a ridiculous character, he's very funny, but he's also not stupid. He's very aware of who he is and what he is, and makes a decision to behave the ways he does. I'm typing this up because I was scrolling through an old chat looking for something and tripped across a conversation about shang qinghua and fawn trauma response.

He knows he does this thing! He has an easy opening to turbokill Mobei-jun while he's unconscious and decides to go the route of begging for his life and trying to ingratiate himself after Mobei-jun wakes up instead, which is a much trickier process. He says it himself, that Mobei-jun is his ideal, that he embodies everything Shang Qinghua wants to be, that etc. And that's hilarious and all, especially in light of the eventual romance and the clownery it takes to get there, but in classic svsss fashion, it also becomes a lot sadder when you add up all the pieces and see everything Shang Qinghua hates about himself.

In some ways he's an even more avoidant narrator than Shen Qingqiu, he deflects and jokes like a motherfucker, so it really is a matter of assembling all the pieces and seeing where there are gaps. But what really underscored the connection for me was Mobei-jun's reaction to parental neglect. Because that's what pushed Shang Qinghua into being an author in the first place, his parents divorced and remarried and kinda just.... forgot about him.

Mobei-jun's dad doesn't exactly do that, but he is operating without a mom in the picture, and rather than remarrying, he just chooses to ignore the thing where his shitty brother is persistently trying to kill his son. That really sucks! But Mobei-jun never shows the smallest hint of weakness or vulnerability over this, even when it would have really helped to use his words, like 'hi my uncle is coming to kill me and i trust you to protect me.' He's everything cool, aloof, arrogant, proud, all a bunch of adjectives that really do not apply to Shang Qinghua. Mobei-jun honestly looks like a boring character if you just stick to the main story, because he's so self-contained and controlled. Compare and contrast to Shang Qinghua, who accidentally outs himself as a transmigrator like two minutes after showing up and proceeds to be hilarious for the rest of the book.

(Brief aside to say that I don't think Mobei-jun is necessarily a happier or healthier person for all of this, lmao. The conversation that fawn reaction thing came from was talking about freeze (tee hee) versus fawn in response to threats or stressful situations. But that goes along with the svsss theme of people used to engaging with this universe as a fictional property coming to terms with the depth and complexity of other people's emotions and not just seeing them as simplistic not-real characters in a book)

(Additionally, this makes the ship hilarious as a take on 'opposites attract,' but also it gives me actual Emotions that Shang Qinghua's ideal who he wishes he could be, purely incidentally, he is able to value and love Shang Qinghua in a way that Shang Qinghua can't and doesn't seem to totally understand)

And what's very interesting here. Is that Shang Qinghua made these two characters, Luo Binghe and Mobei-jun. His protagonist ultimately reflects a lot of his own vulnerabilities and insecurities (secretly and quietly in pidw, much more.... overtly in svsss), and Mobei-jun corrects for his vulnerabilities and insecurities. He's the person Shang Qinghua wishes he could be, which is basically... the opposite of Shang Qinghua, to an almost comical degree. And he then gives Mobei-jun the VERY BEST plot armor he can devise. It's hard for a male character to exist near a stallion protagonist without getting swept up in rivalries/suspicions/etc and getting killed by the protagonist, but he makes sure that his favorite character is safe from these things. He's protecting the character he wishes he could be from the character whose faults most reflect his own. That is very sweet and weird and sad, and that's very reflective of the svsss experience, I think.

Bunny Corcoran: Mother, Women and Sexuality (Masterpost)

Apologies for the shitty quality screenshot, idk why their quality got butchered.

Anyway I divided this thing into IV parts.

INTRO & DISC.

Not to be a bunny apologist literally, he's sexist piece of shit, but you know whats funny? The way this fandom absolutely REFUSES to acknowledge the fact that, despite Richard's shady ass describing Bunny as "homophobic but not in a repressed way", Bunny could very well be gay or bi at the very least. The fandom just doesn't want to see it because he doesn't form "convenient" enough ships with major characters (he does. You guys are just cowards.)

Yes I know, sexist hetero men despise women just for being women, but they view women purely through a sexual lens. But Bunny's prude ass was NOT a pervert. I mean, this is the guy that got triggered when Richard asked him about his hickey.

Yes yes sexually repressed people can act prude-ish in front of people but be total pervs when alone, but nothing at all hinted at Bunny being a pervert who viewed women as walking meat bags. I just find it weird that the only two female companions he had (Marion and Camilla, aside from Judy bcs we never see them interact) he just...didn't like them. Camilla he was good to, occasionally, in a very platonic way ("paternalistic stance").

CAMILLA

And you know what drives me crazy? In this group of 5 boys and 1 girl, Bunny was the ONLY one who was never inappropriate (sexually) or sexual with Camilla. Even the openly gay guy in the group had kissed her at least once. Even her own brother-- not finishing that. Henry slept with her too. Richard kissed her, and wanted to sleep with her. Not Bunny. Yes, Bun was cruel to her in other ways, ordering her around, saying she was intellectually inferior, but he showed ZERO romantic interest in her. Which is kind of ironic to me. The only homophobe in that group was the only one not acting straight.

MARION

With Marion, my god, the way this boy behaved.

He called her his "reason of being", the purpose of his existence, but he could barely tolerate her. She was only a clip holding him together from those parts where he was falling apart; wounds left from a neglectful mother. Lets not mention how Marion is sort of an underdeveloped image of his mother; delicate, blonde, somewhat haughty.

That bitterness he probably feels towards Kathy was then pointed to Marion. Its so freaking clear that Marion is filling the "Mother" role in Bunny's life. She's "feminine" (a trait often associated with motherhood and vice versa), she's "bossy and businesslike". I don't need to explain this, I'm sure.

But watch Bunny's reactions to her; hes submissive for the most part.

For a man who's so incredibly sexist, it doesn't make sense for him to choose such a woman as his partner, does it? Now, either Richard entirely fabricated or exaggerated Bunny's sexism in order to justify his murder, or

His "dislike" for women didn't stem from the weird sexual obsessions misogynists tend to have, but from something else. It could be, purely, his mommy issues, or something else.

You know that whole, Bunny calling Marion that title, but treating her like a chore just reflects what a big performance his relationship truly was. He didn't love Marion, perhaps he liked her, appreciated or cared for her, but he didn't love her. Marion was, like every other thing in his life, just an element to uphold an image of himself. Potential beard? Maybe.

HENRY

Bunny's true "raison d'etre" might have not existed. The only person he could be said to gave been obsessed with was, truly, Henry. And im not just saying this for the sake of it. Bunny was invested in and attached to Henry, perhaps a result of his financial dependence on him.

I don't know guys, I just don't think its normal to snoop around your best friend's things often, or make multiple attempts to read their journal--

this boy was DESPERATE to know the inner workings of Henry's mind. Mind you, this is BEFORE Bunny found out about the murder, or had reason to suspect Henry for anything. Henry's said he was always nosing around for it, and he mentioned Bunny was an "obtrusive" roommate -- meaning this was normal occurrence for him around Henry. Yes, he was also kind of like this with others (Stealing stranger's foods, stealing Charles' cooking literally as he works in the kitchen) but neither of these required a sense of interest in the person he was stealing from. It was to serve his own needs.

Bunny also shows a reluctance to lose Henry.

After their fight, he's so overwhelmed that he doesn't know how to react (mentioned by Henry himself), and his first instinct is to try and cling onto whatever shred of normalcy there was left between them. Despite knowing the numerous cruel things Henry had written about him, Bunny just took it. He stayed somewhat amiable to Henry later. Yes, yes. He got annoying about "the blackmail" (or his inability to keep his mouth shut) but Henry and Francis BOTH tell Richard that Bunny doesn't see what he's doing as "blackmail".

In fact, i think Bunny the fool was trying to get "in" on the feeling of being in on a secret. Image below is regarding that German that started following them in Rome.

But his immediate reaction of pretending everything's fine isn't the first or last time he tries to keep things cool with Henry.

Henry, despite having to deal with Bunny's worst tantrums, was still treated with a degree of respect that seemed to be reserved only for him. Was he afraid of Henry? Hell no.

Bunny was never afraid of insulting Henry, or fighting with him. But he rarely ever got personal with him. Yes yes he complained about the money and every little thing, but the way he went after the rest of the class? Targeting their weaknesses? He would've known Henry's weakness, he was perceptive enough. But he didn't. He still treated Henry with respect. Deference. Described as "polite submission and respect".

With Henry, Bunny was totally emotionally vulnerable. Henry reactedd explosively twice during their arguments. The first is when he slapped Bunny so hard that he "left a big white mark on his cheek", and the second where he broke that chair when Bunny was fighting him in his room. Despite losing control, Henry maintained a level of composure. Bunny never did. He became hysterical each time, screaming and becoming violent the first time, but sobbing himself to sleep (IN HENRYS BED) the second time.

He slept in his bed. There was literally no reason for him to do that.

Except maybe he craved closure. Maybe he just missed his best friend. Maybe he was too shaken up to move from his spot.

And I don't want none of you fools being all "Henry didn't gaf about Bunny."

This is Henry's reaction to Richard essentially saying "You thought Bunny wouldn't be a problem??" And then reiterating that they're old friends.

Do you even understand the implications of that last line? Bunny, whose entire being was hidden under a carefully crafted persona, admitted his family's SHORTCOMINGS with HENRY. Bunny, whose image was everything for him. Perhaps his image WAS his raison d'etre. Bunny, who lived life as an illusion of his true self, projecting away his insecurities. Bunny, who would never admit that he was poor, that his family was flawed in any way, told Henry this. How many more things do you think he confessed, or what other parts of his past and home did he reveal?

Yes, he could have just been telling Henry those things to mooch him off, but he also mooched off his other friends.they didn't know a thing. Marion, who I believe his family hadn't met yet (?) Probably didn't even know. Amd if youre from a dysfunctional home, you already know the only people you've told about your home are special, hand-picked.

Henry was also the first and only person Bunny told about Camilla/Charles.

Perhaps it hurt him, being left out of such a major events of Henry's life because Bunny was sharing practically everything with him.

Alls I'm saying is, Henry meant more to Bunny than most people realize (and dare I say, vice versa), and the only reason people don't see it is because RICHARD didn't see it (fool saw the potential of the dynamic but then was like "nah bunny's too ugly for that").

Bunny was most definitely either a repressed bisexual/gay man, and you cannot change my mind. And while his hatred of women is vile and inexcusable, it stemmed from a place of deep personal issues and insecurities.

Anyway. I'm done rambling LOL.

○ you think about it for a bit, opting to just hurry a little bit with your tasks. “okay fine, i’ll try not to take too long”

○ while you work, he even goes so far as to go to one of the vending machines down the hall to get you both a snack

I was wondering if I could request for Tamarack and/or Qiu in step 2 with a sunshine mc who likes to be physically affectionate and say "I love you" to them? (And maybe they aren't sure if mc meant it in a romantic or just a platonic way)

It would be so messy-

Tamarack Baumann

I think this is a double-edged sword for Tamarack because, on one hand, she really loves the MC bad right? She's crushing super hard and knowing that the MC is super physically affectionate like that with her makes her happy.

But on the other hand, she knows their the same way with everyone else. Their just that kind of person! Which is fine for her, of course! She loves hearing the MC say they love her! And she loves them having so much love to give for everyone!

... However, I can see this sparking tension between them, especially if Tamarack can't tell if its platonic or not. Tamarack is extremely sensitive and insecure in this stage, she can't actually handle people playing with her heart strings carelessly. It hurts her too bad.

Especially when they do that with other people? Tamarack wouldn't know what to think or do. She already has so much going wrong for her at this step. She doesn't want to be the one to call them out. She also knows that that's just more of a personality trait than them trying to hurt her.

So, Tamarack just sucks it up, and laughs a bit at their antics. It makes her genuinely happy to see them be so open but it's very much like "If they love everyone, does that mean they actually love me?"

Poor girl, I hope the MC pulls up their big boy pants cause they got a lot of explaining to do if it's not romantic. You can't play with people's hearts so casually!

Qiu Lin

I hope the MC knows what and who their messing with when it comes to being like this with Mx. I Can't Give a Fuck Qiu Lin around them because hoo boy. If you think that Tamarack was sulky, Qiu is the opposite. Their actually pissed

Consider this: Qiu doesn't exactly have the most healthiest outlook on their body right now so unless it is small touches, Qiu Lin doesn't want to be touched unless they specifically give the go ahead

That's fine but genuinely? If the MC tells Qiu they love them and Qiu can't tell that it's romantic; their genuinely peeved at best and downright furious at worst. They had enough of people at this point walking all over them and saying "I love you" a lot without knowing the context can really aggravate them.

Especially if their jealous? Yeah, you can expect the nastiest parts of Qiu to jump out from time to time around the MC. Saying "I love you" to them while being physically affectionate with someone else? That's a one way ticket to having a constantly annoyed Qiu Lin.

Genuinely I have no idea if Qiu would be confrontational about this or not, but neither options are good. Regardless, it's putting the MCs' relationship with them on very thin ice.

I can see the MC trying to cheer them up if they see them get agitated but their the last person they want to be around either.

- I HAVE CALLED HIM DELULU AS A YANDERE BEFORE but like, he obviously doesn't start out like that. I think his obsession starts with you and how you seem to be the only pure thing in this corrupt city. Yeah, you may curse a lot even if it isn't "proper" and you aren't afraid to snap at people and call them out on your rotten behavior. AND JACOB EATS IT UP EVERYTIME.

- No because I can imagine you befriending Evie first and whenever you visit her when she's with the rooks, some drunk guy hits on her and Jacob is gonna step in BUT YOU ABSOLUTELY RIP HIM A NEW ONE. YOUR WORDS ARE SO BRUTAL THAT EVERYONE IN THE BAR IS CRACKING UP OR BEING ALL: "Stop! STOP! HE'S ALREADY DEAD!" and the man will lash out and that's when Jacob steps in.

- EITHER WAY, HE PUTS YOU ON A PEDASTAL. He loves hearing you talk, he constantly asks Evie about you, and whenever she walks in; he excitedly pops his head out to see if you're behind her. He becomes visibly dissapointed when you aren't and asks Evie why she didn't invite you. HE ALSO DEF TRIES TO MAKE YOU FEEL AS WELCOMED AS POSSIBLE AT THE ROOK HANG OUTS, aka, HE WANTS YOU TO COME BACK TO HIM.

- If you do, his attention is solely focused on you. He'll talk to you, joke around with you, but he also knows he runs out of time with your attention sadly so he hates it when something or someone takes it, HE ALSO HATES IT WHEN HE HAS TO GIVE HIS ATTENTION TO OTHER THINGS. One of his Rooks are trying to talk to him and its like:

"Jacob! JACOB, We have to tell you something!"

Jacob, very coldly:"I'm sure it can wait."

You: "It sounds important, Jacob."

Jacob, very warmly: "I'm sure its fine, luv!"

- He starts making "jokes" about how he's gonna be your husband and at first you find them funny but then you become increasingly concerned that he's staring to believe it because of the way he gets protective when another man talks to you, the way he feels entitled to drop by your home whenever you want, but when you decide to have romantic interest in someone else; he LOSES IT.

- Like if you tell him you have a crush on a guy, he just stands up and looks at you and is all: "What about me!?" and yoy have too look at him and say: "What about you? Jacob, we're not even dating!" and he tries to insist otherwise (despite the fact he never asked that question, nevermind the fact that you never even ANSWERED IT) and eventually you just tell him to leave you alone.

- This where Evie comes in clutch. Regardless if she's a platonic yandere for you and thinks you're safe with Jacob or if she's a familial yandere and wants to make Jacob happy; when you talk to her about Jacob, she'll trash him a bit with you but then start making you feel guilty, telling you things about Jacob that make you feel for him, only to remind you about all of his good qualities. She is so good at talking to you that you do end up forgiving him.

- HOWEVER even if he tries to tone down his behavior, it doesn't change the fact that he will most definetly still think of you as the love of his life, THE OTHER HALF OF HIS HEART. You just mean so much to him♡

- So he'll still try and woo you the old fashioned way and staying in your good graces but if you remain too stubborn or too resistant to his affection then he will kidnap you. He would hate to do it because he doesn't want to force you to see that you love him but he will if you keep trying to stay in denial for too long.

- Totally the type to break into your house when you're not there too, btw. Not to mention that he also really likes to steal small things you wouldn't notice are gone right away and keep them in his pocket, either as a lucky charm or such.

Hello, i’ve recently started reading your blog after reading your fic. I like reading opinions on the characters and i’ve just read you post about laena. I think you are spot on about her and its nice to see that i wasn’t the only one not fangirling about her. Just like you i never cared for laena as she was a character that had no pull to me. In fact, i only became curious about her because i was curious on how she’ll be portayed in the show. Personally, i had no problems with how she was portrayed as i’ve felt there wasn’t much about her written to begin with.

Personality? Agreed, what personality? All described personality of hers was all the common shared personalities of her relatives. Which is why i’m surprised when i see people saying she’s their favourite or she’s their best girl/queen. Sure everyone can like whoever they want but its usually with reason like the character is interesting. The only thing interesting about laena was her relation to rhaenyra and daemon. There wasn’t anything about her that made her laena, it was always about rhaenyra’s bff laena or daemon’s wife laena. I agree with you that the reason so many people like her is because they can easily use her as a self-insert. Who wouldn’t want to be the woman who “changed” the rogue prince?

I also believe that her and Daemon wasn’t romantic on BOTH sides. There’s nothing wrong with that considering the world they live in. Worst matches had been made and i think they both know that. He was forced to marry the royce girl while there isn’t an indication if she liked the man she originally was suppose to marry and she was said to be more interested in flying rather than boys. People saying Daemon loved her because the singers said so is hilarious. They believe the singers of all people? Daemon definitely married her to gain power and not because he was in love and fought for her. I could see her being fine about marrying him for the adventure the rogue prince could give her. She did seem to love adventure more than anything else. Her dragon was the love of her life, not the man she married seeing as in her last moments she wanted to ride vhagar instead of being with her husband or even her daughters. I do think they got along being both adventurous and i think daemon cared for her as the mother of his daughters but saying he was in love with her might be a strech. Not sure laena even had romantic feelings for daemon as like you said, nothing was written about how they felt towards each other after they got married. How does so many people believe she was his great love? Is it because they couldn’t get over the fact that the singers said he fell in love with her? Or because there isn’t a word about him sleeping around while being married to her? Its actually curious that the book was written in a way to make daemon seem like he was the perfect man to laena but a terrible one to rhaenyra.

Her relationship with rhaenyra however was more explained than her marriage to daemon. I do believe it was nothing more than a platonic friendship. Just because rhaenyra was fond of her doesn’t mean they were romantic or had a poly situation with daemon. People seem to forget that rhaenyra had no actual friends at all so her becoming fond of laena is not surprising. It is quite funny that laena ended up being friends with the woman who was in love and wants her husband. I’m also curious if she knew about rhaenyra and daemon’s relationship. If she did, i don’t think she would have a problem since nothing is said about her feelings for daemon and i think she is aware of his reputation and the actual relationship of her brother and rhaenyra.

There's not a lot I like about the fandom nowadays, but more vocal daemyra fans is definitely something that keeps my hope alive that there are still good things out there ❤️

Today was as normal as any other day. You were out grocery shopping, picking up any necessities that you needed. After paying for your groceries you exited the store and walked towards your car.

“Y/n!” A voice called out for you. Turning your attention to the direction of the voice to find its owner. The voice belonged to Gunil, he was the best friend of your ex. Your ex and you ended your relationship on horrible terms. You found out that he had been cheating on you for over a month. There was no excuse that he could give that would justify what he did. Naturally you ended things with him. Gunil was actually the one who told you about your ex cheating on you. You and him got along well. It was a joke among your ex’s friend group that you were stealing your ex’s place as Gunil’s best friend.

“Long time no see,” you say, approaching Gunil. You hadn’t seen him since you broke up with your ex five months ago.

“Yeah, it’s been awhile. How have you been?” Gunil asks you.

“It was a little rough for a bit, but I’m much better now,” you answered. “How have you been?” You returned the question.

“I’ve missed you,” he responds. It was definitely unexpected you didn’t foresee him saying that at all. You can’t say that you didn’t miss him either. You didn’t just end things with your ex when the breakup happened. You non-directly ended your friendship with Gunil too. It was collateral. “The others miss you too,” Gunil added, coughing awkwardly.

“Shouldn’t you guys be glad that I’m not there to interrupt boys' night?” You jested.

“Aye! You were very much one of the bros. We all liked spending time with you,” Gunil defended.

“I miss you guys too. How are they doing?” You questioned. Gunil went quiet for a moment, looking like he wasn’t quite sure how to answer.

“They’re good,” he finally says.

“Are you not telling me something?” You interrogated. Gunil eyes the grocery bags in your hands.

“You should get your groceries home,” he tells you. Now you know there’s something he’s not telling you.

“After you tell me,” you stated. “I’ll go after you tell me,” you reiterated. Gunil sighed, remembering how stubborn that you could be.

“Can we at least talk in your car and not in the middle of the parking lot?�� Gunil asks.

“Yeah, follow me,” you instructed. You lead the way to where your car was parked. Once you reached your car you unlocked it and put your groceries in the back seat. Afterwards you gestured for Gunil to get in as you did yourself. “So what is it?” You questioned after Gunil shut the door.

“Our friend group kinda…split,” Gunil reveals.

“What? Why?” You were shocked.

“Some of us didn't want to forgive e/n for cheating on you. There was actually a big fight about it. Everyone was mad at him for it, cause we all viewed you as a friend. It bothered some of us more than others. There was a split between those of us who couldn’t forgive him and those who were just mad and needed time to get over it,” Gunil explained. Somehow you felt responsible. “Don’t feel bad y/n. It’s not your fault. It’s e/n being a cheater that we couldn’t accept,” seemingly Gunil could read your thoughts.

“When did this happen?” You wondered.

“About two months ago,” Gunil answered.

“You haven’t talked to e/n in two months then?” You inferred.

“Guess he’s a common ex between us. Your ex boyfriend, my ex best friend,” Gunil chuckled.

“It sounds funny when you say it like that, a common ex,” you snickered. Gunil’s chuckle turned into laughter. “We should hang out again, I miss it,” you suggested.

“That would be nice, I could invite the others too,” Gunil recommended.

“Yes, I can infiltrate boys’ night again,” you said excitedly. “Here let me give you my number,” you took out your phone. Gunil took out his as well and you both put in your contacts. Afterwards you decided that you really should be getting your groceries home, so you bid goodbye to Gunil, with the promise of texting him later.

Arriving home you put your groceries away. Once you were done you pulled out your phone and sent a text to Gunil. The two of you chatted and set up a date and time for you and the boys to hang out together. You were excited to be able and see them again because you never thought that you would.

The date came for hanging out with the boys. You had all decided to go bowling. You all met up outside the bowling alley.

“Y/n, it’s so nice to see you again,” Seungmin said as he pulled you into a hug.

“Don’t hog them,” Jooyeon smacked Seungmin away, so that he could hug you too. Jiseok joined the hug, squishing you in the middle. Oh how you missed the antics of these two. After they release you Jungsu and Hyeongjun also greet you.

“We won’t squish you to death,” Jungsu jokes.

“Shall we head in,” Gunil says. All of you agreed and headed inside. You all got situated between the two lanes you guys paid for. Jiseok, Jooyeon, Seungmin and Hyeongjun were on one lane, you Gunil and Jungsu on the other.

“You know I’ve never seen Gunil that mad before,” Jungsu told while Gunil was up to bowl.

“What?” You were confused.

“Over e/n cheating on you. He went into a full overprotective brother mode of some sort. He gave e/n a black eye, busted his lip and nose. Looked like he wanted to kill him,” Jungsu informed. You turned to look at Gunil for a moment.

“I didn’t know that,” you turned back to Jungsu.

“I figured he wouldn’t tell you. I wanted to punch him too honestly, but Gunil beat him enough for all of us,” Jungsu stated.

“Thank you,” you tell Jungsu.

“For what?” Jungsu questions, unsure.

“For telling me. For wanting to punch my ex. I’d thank Gunil too, but I have a feeling he doesn’t want me to know that he did that, so I’ll act like I don’t,” you explained.

“What are you two gossiping about?” Gunil says as he returns from his turn.

“That’s nice to be one of the bros again,” you declared.

“Yeah we’re glad to have you back,” Gunil strongly patted you on the back. Maybe a little too strongly as you let out a slightly pained grunt.

“Oh sorry,” Gunil apologies, rubbing your back in an effort to soothe it.

Perhaps the bros little sister was a better term for what you were, but the specifics didn’t matter. You were glad to have Gunil back and Gunil was just as glad if not more to have you back too.

Not sure if you've been asked but have you read any good sun/moon or sun/moon/y-n fics lately or have any you recommend? I'm in the process of reading yours. So far so good!

Hi! Sorry it took me a couple of days to answer this, I had to actually think really hard of some of my favourite fics to recommend, as so many of the on-going ones have been abandoned for months, but I personally like multichapter fics over one-shots. So, anyways.

None of my recommendations are Sun/Moon/Reader fics, because I do not read reader-inserts. Besides one Solar/Reader fic based on my own AU, all the other fics are Sun/Moon (mostly romantic, but I have a couple of platonic ones I like as well!)

My current favourite on-going fic is "Yellow" by Haru1027: Moon gets a new human partner to do his nightly patrols with him, and Sun doesn't like how the girl acts around Moon. She is literally trying to steal Moon from Sun! Sun and Moon are in an established relationship here. I love this fic because Sun's anxiety, Moon's obliviousness, and the unnamed nightguard's character are so well written and I've been on the edge of my seat every time a new chapter gets posted because I'm so scared of what she will try to do next to mess with Sun's love. Moon is obviously a very adoring and loving boyfriend, but the girl keeps coming up with a lot of stuff that just stings right into poor Sunny's heart! (CW: Has smut in some chapters.)

The next fic I'm not completely sure if it's still continuing or not, since it hasn't been updated for a while, is "Runaway Robots" by Made_Of_Galaxies: Sun overhears that he and Moon are about to get decommissioned. Moon takes forcefully over their body, and runs away. The story focuses on their survival in the outside world; they need a place to stay, a way to hide, and a spot to charge. I love this fic because their relationship is so cute. Both of them are written in a way that I personally headcanon them to be, and they're just so sweet with each other my heart literally melts. The adventure and slight angst add nicely to the story.

The next fic is "Long Distance In The Same Body" by SplatteredRaccoon, though, I'm not sure if it has been abandoned. It has a short prequel, "I'll Be Waiting, When You Wake Up...". Sun and Moon lose their headlink connection due to their new body upgrades after the fire. Thankfully, the new staff is nice enough to gift them a phone! They start recording videos for each other. The fic is very cute and has that sort of silly miscommunication tease of both of them obviously pining over each other, but being too shy to admit it aloud. Some Sun-sided jealousy is added as well, which I always find interesting to read.

This one is not a ship-fic, but more of a parental/sibling relationship. "Big Brother Moon" by NightingaleWitch7: Moondrop is an advanced Daycare robot good at his job. But he starts to get stressed, and it ends up in an accident where the Daycare needs to be closed for a while, and his supervisor starts to look for another helping hand for him. Moondrop thinks he doesn't need it, but the higher-ups think the opposite. After sneaking around the Plex while being bored due to the Daycare being closed, Moondrop stumbles upon a small robot baby in his supervisor's workshop. He takes the baby to himself, eventually naming it Sundrop. Moondrop's caretaking code clearly was playing some tricks on him, as he tries to accompany himself with the new, adorable baby bot he literally stole while the Daycare goes through its renovations. Baby Sundrop is literally the most adorable thing in the world. This fic is very slow-paced, and I was actually struggling a little bit at first because of my short attention span, but now I'm waiting for the new chapters a lot because Moondrop is written in a very nice and funny way, and baby Sundrop really makes me want to get a baby robot on my own... XD

Another fic that can be read either romantic or platonic is a oneshot, "Be Still" by QueenEvac: Sun is ADHD and ASD coded, and can't sit still to appreciate the world around him. Moon helps him, and it is just so fricking cute.

Another oneshot recommendation is "Love of Mine" by RanniParty: This is literally in my bookmarks as "Re-read when u need fluff". After the fire destroys the Pizzaplex, Sun wakes up, but he is alone in his body, without Moon is his code. He grieves over his other half, only to see him walk through the door in his own, separate body. The fluff in this is so immaculately cute, this fic is my rainy-day saviour.

And here are some explicit/adult-content fics that I'd recommend for adult readers:

"Redeeming the Stinky Man" by quixotic_calamity: The Solar x Reader fic I mentioned. Now, as I am not a big fan of reader-inserts, nor am I into smelly mutants, but chapter 2 of this fic literally made me simp for my own stinky character. Quix did an amazing job writing him so well, and the story is set very nicely in the universe, even though it's mostly just going to be smut for the two last chapters. So far, Quix has only posted the first chapter, but I've already read the second one since she sent it to me privately, and it is very... interesting and Solar-like. Boy just needs a bath and a reward- I know this isn't Sun/Moon/Reader, but more of Eclipse/Reader.

Another smut fic from Quix is "Blackberries and Lavender", which I'll soon post separately as its own post too. This is also from my Animutant AU, and after reading it, I've decided to make it canon to the universe. It's a oneshot about Moondrop overcoming his trauma of 'being not pure' and hating his vagina due to the past he had with El Chip. Sunrise helps him to gain the trust and worth of his body back in a very Sun-typical way. The fic is absolutely adorable, and despite being a sex fic, it is so fluffy your teeth will rot worse than Solar. Sun and Moon are perfectly in-character, which makes it so perfect to fit the AU Canon.

The next, possibly still on-going(?) NSFW fic is "All's fair in Robo-Dicks and War" by LavalampGoldfish: This fic is, as the name suggests, technically about robot genitals. It's written from Monty's POV, but Sun and Moon play kind of an important role in this. Monty loses a bet and is forced to go to the weirdo-land (Daycare). When he sneaks in he sees Sun and Moon having sex. The fic follows Monty's inner and outer struggles of trying to understand WHY the Daycare attendants have dicks, who gave them to them, and can he have one too. The fic is so funny and well-written, I am in love how (to my own headcanons) accurately this fic describes the relationships between the characters. I would lie if I didn't say my own fic was inspired by some of the characteristics given to the characters in this fic. The parts where Sun and Moon show up are so adorable, Moon is SO overprotective of his precious Sunshine, and Sun just wants to be friends with everyone. I don't wanna spoil too much, but reading Sun and Moon from someone who dislikes them POV is a refreshing experience. The humour is really top-tier in this one as well.

I feel like Mitsuya is the type that if say he’s away for an event or job you couldn’t come to he would send you pics and little video clips —vlog style

i am not convinced of quackhalo but it's mostly because i don't really follow either quackity of bad, but please convince me i want to see

ok anon so i was supposed to just write a short thing BUT THIS IS SO LONG LMAO anyway what i have here is basically my quackhalo masterpost/manifesto to convince you that they are insane and gay (and have some form of crush on each other in one way or another)

First of all I will show you my absolute favourite moment between them.(tumblr link) It's not the biggest or most eye raising out there, but I sing this song to myself regurarly, and I love this moment. Quackity is quite tired in this stream, and he always up to this point just teased and jokingly made fun of bad and suddenly he comes out with THIS 😭😭 you can tell that even bad was taken aback

now this moment and the next few i only had clips saved on my pc so i uploaded them on one of my saved urls blogs hdiasjdka dont mind me but THIS ONE he is so fucking focused on bads hands his eyes are NOT BUDGING DHISJK. That whole stream he had bad's rat cam in the corner and kept begging bad for face cam, and when suddenly bbh went to pet rat BAM full screen rat cam and complete SIMPERY over hands. like im not kidding he literally cant look away look at him 😭

THIS!!!! i think it's one of the moments where quackity does something without thinking then tries to work around it/make it a joke. Like that smooch came from such a genuine place of love (im not saying romantic love, just love, you cant say they dont have loads of platonic love for each other) and adoration it's so SWEET. he was teasing him abit too much and realised and just went SMOOCH. so cute

this clip is incomplete but its all i have rn, before the clip he says bad's hair looks soft, then all that, but after this he turns it into a joke saying he'd yank it and rip it out but at first he sounds so sincere i think he said the soft hair thing sincerely and then was like oop better joke

the silence after this clip is always what makes it for me. but he said what he said! "you are my badboyhalo" <3

who would i be if i didn't include the "you have to ride me" clip. bc bad's reaction says it all.

this one is so miniscule but i love this moment. they are both so cute. I think it showcases why quckhalo works so well for me, because quackity will go into flirt mode and bad will pretend he doesn't notice, will just act as his usual cute innocent persona. but he's into it 😭

yeah abshidjkahsjk (tumblr) like most of these it was partially a bit, but the fact that his stream ended bc he overhyped his reaction to bbh calling him alex and kicked his computer LOL. it reminds me of the big daddy clip, i think quackity actually has a geniune reaction to these things but makes it HUGE AND BIG so that ppl see it as this bit

uhh. there's a lot I like but I don't have a favorite I'd say, also I write. a lot. and forget I write things. I know I had a really good one that was a double meaning with foil (narrative opposites) and foil (sword) but I don't have a clue which fic it's in FOUND IT and it's a fic I don't even like

his foil's blade pierced where no beating heart lies

"Foil's blade" meaning both his enemy's sword as well as his own, "pierced where no beating heart lies" meaning he missed a fatal blow and also that the one who is getting stabbed isn't human. Purposefully ambiguous so you can read it either way (the full sentence is "[Link] claims he is not the parallel of another, his foil's blade pierced where no beating heart lies", in which "his foil's blade" can be possessive for Link or "another". the one pro of English is in its poetic ambiguity; you couldn't do this quite the same way in a language with cases (but also ask me about Sappho frag. 22 and how many many translations of it are WRONG because it uses this same grammar principle))

There was also a reader who left long comments on every chapter of my ghiralink fanfictions in 2020 and just stopped one day 😔 they left a really nice comment that inspired me to continue, I updated a few days later, and never heard from them again. I'm happy for u tho or sorry that happened

There are some really good ones but those commentors rather than comments stick out to me. rest in peace kings hope you're still alive

ngl the only thing I write at this point is some flavor of ghiralink. hyperfixation go brr

but in writing that I focus more on SwS Link. I'm outnumbered in the subfandom that I care more about Link than Ghirahim, sorry not sorry. You know how a lot of multishipping Ghirahim stems from just wanting any Ghirahim content, so he's fair game for anyone? That's me with SwS Link. Love some Peatrice/Link, Zelda/Link, Pipit/Link. not so big on Groose/Link because lately it's come with Groose/Zelda and I'm not a fan of them. On their own they're fine. Also slightly against Fi/Link because I'm petty and prefer Fi/Zelda. However. If you take two ships I hate, Ghirahim/Fi and Fi/Link, and put them together in Ghirahim/Link/Fi for crack purposes only. I think that could be funny. I'm rambling. That's not the question.

I don't really care about Ghirahim outside of his relationship with this particular Link (just enemies, romantic, platonic, idc). Controversial, I know.

hi it’s me fae anon,, thinking i might have to pick an emoji or something. anyway as far as luci knows, reader is unaware of who exactly he is. READER knows, but also knows that luci thinks they don’t. this is funny by itself but as they get closer i imagine reader would keep pulling back just a little bc,, who the fuck are they to be putting the moves on a fae lord? they can’t possibly be reading him right anyway, the relationship is platonic if it’s anything & lucis just like ??? :(

Ohhhhh, you see, I'm kinda conflicted on this ask.

Because on one hand, I never really liked the whole trope of "person A is oblivious that B likes them." Idk, I think it's because I never rule out romance out of all of my friendships? Like, if I'm hanging out with someone all the time, and was get along really well, it's not that much of a leap to think they might like me. Maybe its because I'm not really that insecure either?? Like, I think leagues are bullshit, no one is out of anyone's leagues lol. Maybe this way of thinking is crazy to other people, I just know putting people on a pedestal and believing that they "too good" for you is like, really dehumanizing? So I make it a goal to never it myself lol.

Anyway! Wow that really was a ramble lol.

I too think it'll be really funny if reader knows who Luci is, but Luci doesn't know that they know. They probably wouldn't figure it out the first time they saw them, or else they would have probably stayed inside and let Luci set himself out. But afterwards, as they realize they have no idea what faes are or what they do, they look em up and find the one was extremely horny in their garden is an Important One. Cue minor panic attack.

Maybe at first they think Lucifer likes them romantically. I mean, it's not like they know why he keeps coming back to their garden and bringing them gifts? While in reality Lucifer wants to kill them lol. Maybe after Lucifer tries to get them in danger so he can save them and rid himself of his debt, he comes clean about everything. And reader realizes that again, they know NOTHING about the fae or how they work.

So the reason they pull back is less of a "who am I to pull moves on a *Fae Lord*" and more of a "man, I really don't know anything about faes. I should quit when I'm ahead before I accidentally get myself killed." Only now Luci learnt to appreciate reader and really wants to date em
