Out Of The Darkness, Chapter 7
Tumblr media
Loki was looking for Grace one afternoon. He soon found her in her usual place, in her garden.
He stopped to watch her for a moment when he spotted her. A big smile formed on his face. She was putting up some netting over one of the raised beds, now that seedlings had formed, she wanted to protect them from the birds. He noticed that she didn’t have her headphones on, which was a relatively new thing to see.
She still had them on when she was going around inside on her own, but in the garden she felt completely secure with Loki’s magic around, protecting her.
‘Hopefully this will keep those nasty birds away!’ Grace said as she finished with the nets.
Loki went over to her, she looked up when she heard his footsteps crunching on the gravel.
‘Oh, hey. Yep, I’ve become one of those people, talking to the plants already.’ She laughed sheepishly and rubbed the back of her head.
Loki chuckled softly. ‘There’s nothing wrong with that. I’ve heard talking to plants can help them grow.’
‘Well, if that’s the case, everything here will shoot up like mad.’ Grace said as she picked up her tools and headed back to the shed.
‘It’s nice to see the garden being cared for again. Even Stark commented on it earlier.’ Loki said as he followed her.
‘Really?’
‘Yep. Once everything is flowering, it will be spectacular.’ Loki grinned.
‘I sure hope so. As long as I can actually keep everything alive. I’ve read through so many books about pests and diseases. It’s worse than looking after a dog!’
‘I imagine it is.’ Loki chuckled. ‘On Asgard our gardens don’t tend to have pests or diseases as such, so it’s much easier there. Typical that here on Midgard there is plenty of issues to try and overcome or avoid.’
‘Of course everything on Asgard would be strong and mighty, even little Godly plants.’ Grace teased.
‘Cheeky.’ Loki growled low, narrowing his eyes at her. She stuck her tongue out at him playfully, making him shake his head and tut. ‘Such naughty actions from a little lady.’
‘I’ve been spending too much time with the God of mischief.’
‘Touche.’ Loki grinned. ‘Are you joining us later for drinks?’
Tony was holding a small get together/party. Just for the team, he felt they’d all been working really hard lately and could do with a blowout.
‘Uhh… Yeah, I think I will actually.’ Grace nodded with a smile.
‘Excellent.’ Loki clapped his hands and rubbed them together. ‘I look forward to seeing your dancing.’ He winked at her.
-
That evening drinks certainly were flowing. Thor had nipped back to Asgard to get some of their alcohol for himself and Loki.
‘It can’t be that bad.’ Grace said to Loki when they were sat on a sofa in the corner of the room, just watching everyone dancing around and chatting quietly.
‘Oh, it is. Only Gods can handle it.’ Loki chuckled.
‘How come Steve gets some? He’s not a God.’ She narrowed her eyes at Loki.
‘Because he is a special case for a mortal. With his weird metabolism he can handle stronger alcohol.’ Loki shrugged.
‘Can I just have a tiny tiiiiny taste?’ She pleaded with Loki and fluttered her eyelashes at him.
He narrowed his eyes at her for a moment, then pinched the bridge of his nose. How could he resist her pleading eyes? It was bad enough that when she walked into the room earlier at the start of the party, he had been breathless. It was the first time he’d seen her wear a dress and she had done her hair up. While he found her beautiful as she was, there was something about the green dress she wore that had just taken his breath away even more.
Loki gave in and handed his drink to her. She took a tentative sip, then pulled a face and thrust the drink back into his hand.
‘Woah, that’s bloody strong!’ She coughed and downed her own drink, making Loki laugh.
‘I did warn you, petal.’ He grinned.
He could tell she was drunk when a new song came on and she suddenly jumped up to her feet, exclaiming how it was her favourite. He watched with a smile as she danced around with Natasha and Wanda, who also seemed to love the song too.
When the song finished, Loki noticed the three talking quietly together. Then Wanda went to grab Vision and dragged him over to dance, he obliged, albeit reluctantly. Natasha grabbed Bruce, who was more than keen to dance around like a fool after a few drinks.
Grace, although drunk, she still looked a little shy when she approached Loki.
‘Uhh… Would you like to come and dance… with me?’ She asked sheepishly, her cheeks turning red. And Loki thought, or he certainly hoped, that it wasn’t just because of the alcohol.
For a moment, Grace felt like she had made a fool of herself. She thought he would say no, how dare she ask him such a thing. Why would he want to dance with her. But to her utter delight, he smiled sweetly at her and nodded.
‘I would love to.’
She beamed so happily that Loki’s heart began to swell.
When he stood up right on front of her, she took a moment to compose herself as she gazed up at him. Suddenly remembering how tall he was, how would she be able to keep up with his moves? She didn’t actually know how to dance, just flail around. But when he put his hand out towards her and she put her hand into his, she felt her worries melt away.
They joined the others and danced around together, just having fun. Loki noticed how she was more than happy to keep a hold of his hand for the most part, and he was too.
Loki spun her about playfully and finished as he dipped her backwards dramatically, making her laugh so much she got the hiccups.
Natasha and Wanda shared a look with one another, smirking as they watched Loki and Grace interact together.
The party continued well into the night, until one by one everyone started to head to bed. Or just passed out on a sofa.
Loki walked Grace back to her room, to make sure she got there safely without crashing into a wall because she wasn’t very steady on her feet by that point.
‘I really had fun tonight.’ She said slightly slurred.
‘Me too.’ Loki grinned and reluctantly let go of her waist when they reached her room. ‘Remember and drink some water before you go to sleep. Keep a glass at your bedside.’ He said and playfully tapped her nose, making her laugh.
She suddenly hugged him tightly and buried her face into his chest, surprising him a little, but he hugged her back just as tight.
‘Night Loki doki.’ She mumbled against his chest.
Loki chuckled. ‘Night night petal.’
After brushing her teeth and downing some water, Grace collapsed into bed. And whilst she fell asleep within seconds of her head hitting her pillow, she fell asleep with a smile on her face.
-
‘Gracey, come on and dance with me.’ Kilgrave demanded as he put his hand out towards her.
She took his hand and he tugged her into the middle of the room as the band played.
They had gate-crashed a wedding. He had the whole wedding party lined up against the wall, not allowing them to move at all. If anyone moved or made a noise, then the groom was told to stab them twenty times with the knife that was used to cut the cake, that he made the groom hold onto.
Grace was terrified deep down, but she couldn’t act upon her fear. Like she was paralysed, being played like a puppet on strings.
Kilgrave put his arms around her. ‘Put your hands on my shoulders.’
She did as she was told. Her hands moving of their own accord.
‘Smile, darling. We’re at a wedding after all.’ He said gruffly, then smiled himself when she did so.
‘That’s it, good girl. Look at you, star of the show.’ He said as they moved slowly back and fore to the music.
Kilgrave put a hand onto the back of her head and pulled her face into his chest. She felt his breath against her ear. ‘You’re mine, Gracey. You will never belong to another man.’
Grace woke up with a start, sweat was dripping down her forehead and she felt her back was wet from sweat too.
She hurried to turn on her lamp, the dark was too much for her right now, her hands were shaking like mad and her heart was racing. She took a few deep breaths and ran a hand down her face.
‘It’s just a nightmare, a memory. He won’t hurt me anymore... Can’t hurt me.’ She muttered to herself.
But she was so shaken after it, she couldn’t settle. So she slipped out of bed, put on some clothes and her headphones, then headed outside to her garden.
As soon as she stepped into the walled garden, into the safety of Loki’s spell and with her baby plants around her, she relaxed and felt like she could breathe properly again.
She sat down on a bench that was in the middle of the garden and looked up at the sky. It was a clear night and the stars were out dancing for her. She smiled and closed her eyes, enjoying the cool air on her skin.
Freedom. That’s what this was. Being able to go out in the middle of the night if she wanted to.
While he still haunted her nightmares, she had her freedom when she was awake. And she wasn’t his anymore. Her heart was beginning to belong to someone else… Someone she could actually trust and wanted to be around.

Reacting to Contemporaty Comics (Without Context) 10/?
Tumblr media
Returning to completely no context. Pre-old Loki's death, pre-everything good about my boi, pre-MCU (technically. I think it's concurrent with The-Hulk-Movie-That-Will-Not-Be-Acknowledged)
Spoilers for The Mighty Thor: Lord of Asgard #64 (2003). Also quite a lot of religious (mainly Catholic) commentary. (Actually commentary is putting it lightly. I go on a couple rants about Catholicism as an institution and the hypocrisy of the Vatican. It relates to aspects of the comic, but I'm drawing a lot on real world history and my own upbringing in the Catholic Church when I react to it. So if that triggers you or even if you feel like that will bother you, you might want to skip this one.)
This is a long one.
Who in the shit are these people?
Just call yourselves pagans and have done with it, you pretentious idiots
Thor stop being Odin. I'm about to be rooting for Loki for more than just principle
Oh I do not like this art I'm sorry
Mmkay, Imma need JP 2 to sit the fuck down and chill
"The church is quite tolerant." I'm sorry, it's what, now? Y'all drove me out for being gay and trans 16 years after this comic came out, you dumb shit
Sorry my Catholic trauma is showing
Shut UP my dude. You don't own the world. Stop
Okay I'm back to rooting for Thor if it's gonna be Thor Tells the Vatican to Fuck Off
Like (sorry I'm not done) where the FUCK does the goddamn Catholic Church get off trying to tell Thor not to go all Imperialist on Midgard's ass??? The Catholic Church! How fucking unself-aware do you gotta be to still reap the benefits of your centuries' old terror fest on the entirety of the goddamn world and turn around and be like "But he can't do the colonizing, boo hoo, it's not allowed if he's not being Catholic about it. :((( " Fucking SHUT UP
Okay rant over for now. I'm sorry, the Vatican's real world hypocrisy pisses me off too much to not address it in a comic book
Tumblr media
NORSE. PAGANS! VIKINGS!!! What the fuck is this dumb man
this dipshit really just used the "my son" shit on THOR. You condescending son of a bitch, that man is older than you by several centuries!
Tumblr media
(Commercial break I guess lol) The ads in this comic remind me that unlike the comics from like 2013 or 2019, or the vintage 80s comics, I was in elementary school in 2003. I remember this flavor of Kool-Aid. I don't remember what this ad is actually for, the mad voice twister (with Kool-Aid points? whatever those were), because I didn't read comics as a kid, but the flavor it's promoting I sure as fuck do.
Guys! People training to be warriors don't use real, sharpened blades, you dumbasses!
Okay, I was gonna say I was leaning slightly toward the priest's opinion after two pages of the Thor cult, but then I remembered all Catholic everything was conducted in Latin prior to like 1960 for basically the same reason these guys think they're talking like Shakespeare and actually no, you're all fanatics.
I did not expect this comic to be Religious Commentary: the Comic, with Lord in the title referring not to a medieval/Asgardian title but drawing parallels to Lord Jesus/ The (Christian) Lord
I guess I should've seen it coming. I've picked up on a lot of Judeo-Christian (I know that phrasing is contentious and for good reason, bear with me) imagery in Thor comics. Hell (no pun intended), they've been drawing parallels to the Norse gods and Christianity since Snorri (and I've commented on his Holier than Thou bullshit before)
Is there no other religion in this comic world but Thorism and Catholicism? I feel like I'm gonna look up this author and he's either gonna be an ex-Catholic or a current Catholic
You know I looked it up right after I wrote that, and wouldn't you know it, I both maybe spoiled myself and couldn't find out his religion or lack thereof. It's an interesting angle, and at the moment it feels like either a) he's specifically going after just the Catholic Church on purpose because he's got personal beef (or reverence, if the Catholics come out on top), or b) he knows Catholicism from a personal perspective (either as a current or ex-Catholic) with a lot more confidence than any other religion, and rather than risk grossly misrepresenting other religions out of ignorance or laziness or possibly more sinister reasons like an upsetting number of other white people, he has chosen to focus on what he knows (a religion which has coincidentally done quite a lot of harm to people who practice or historically would have practiced those religions he is not as well-versed in). But we're very early in the book and I also didn't read anything before or after this, so maybe Jurgens explores how other religious people respond to Thor in later pages or issues, or maybe he already did.
Oh. Oh no. When WASPs pull the religious persecution card, you know they're doing this shit for the wrong fucking reasons. (I mean, using WASP loosely here, since at least one of them isn't ex-Protestant but ex-Catholic, but the other three criteria fit these men. The demographic becomes slightly more racially diverse later in the text, but the three guys talking right now are all white.)
I'm getting flashbacks to when the Knights of Columbus came to talk to my Sunday School class in eighth grade and the guy got progressively more irritated with my classmate because he kept asking questions about the sword that came with the uniform, which supposedly was not the point of the order. I mean, c'mon, Mr. B_____, look me in the eye and tell me with confidence that the majority of those old suburban white men in your order did not join exclusively to get a sword. For the record, my (unknowingly) transmasc genderfluid ass was also extremely interested in the sword, but I was already aware I was barred entry into the order, and also already pissed that I'd officially been confirmed and then told I was not allowed to be gay, trans, ordained, or a knight by Catholic standards, two of which I already was but as yet unaware, one I wanted to be now out of spite, and one I'd always wanted to be. (But that's a story for a different blog. The point being, half of these Thorists joined to get a sword and that's it.)
The least believable thing about this comic is these kids go to Catholic school and don't have to wear uniforms. I'm sure those schools exist, but even if they don't have to, there is absolutely nothing on Ginny's body that would meet a dress code aside from maybe that turtleneck that covers everything.
Trent, a lot of non-Catholics enroll in Catholic school. Though the Pope is real pissed with Thor at the moment, so maybe not going to Catholic school is a good idea
They absolutely would not delay Mass for two teenagers unless they were getting married (which usually isn't a thing the church necessarily condones I don't think) or one of them was the Virgin Mary herself
that portrait of Jesus has the longest hair I've ever seen someone give him
LOL oh my god this priest is still arguing with Thor
"You are on the cusp of destroying the Catholic Church, Thor." PROMISE?!
"Your church is part of the ruling class and has been for centuries." PREACH, THOR!!! Also, Jurgens is ex- Catholic, I'm calling it now
"What good have you done?" THOR ODINSON, GOING FOR THE FUCKING KILL! We STAN
Loki continues to be nowhere in sight, but you know what, this is cathartic, a balm on my ex-Catholic soul, I don't even feel the loss
"...while befriending some of the world's most heinous dictators." hahaha, Thor knows what you did in World War II, Pius. He wasn't even fucking here and he knows. I'll bet Steve told him.
...did...did you just admit that the Catholic Church still uses tithes?! I don't think you're supposed to mention it!
Baby, being a nun doesn't make one a steadfast believer. Having a sister who's a nun but not you means even less
Oh we're comparing our plight to Native Americans now, huh? You do remember you live in a (non-religious) Protestant nation, right? The Catholics have limited legal sway aside from being white, but guess what? Most of you are white, too. They're not gonna go Trail of Tears or Cholera epidemic on your asses. I'm begging y'all from the distant future of 2024 to learn your motherfucking privilege before it's too late.
I'm gonna need your source for your second religious persecution claim, guys. This smells an awful lot like "Christians are so oppressed because someone told me once how bad missionaries are, boo hoo, my rights are being infringed upon" bullshit
"You really think we'll be arrested?" No. No, dude, I really doubt it. I think you could walk down the street with your sword sharpened and unsheathed and you wouldn't get arrested. You know why? Because you're a white man and ACAB, that's why. You might run into an issue if you try to take it on a plane, because it's 2003 and if I remember correctly it still takes like 3 hours to get past TSA, but other than that, I think you're good, man. This is just good old-fashioned fear-mongering.
THE PRIEST JUST DREW A FUCKING GUN WHAT THE FUCK
Oh now Loki shows up
I cannot believe Loki just restarted the fucking Crusades. I mean, the Pope lit the match, but Loki stoked the flames into inferno.
Wait. Did both kids die? That's what these panels mean right?
Fuck that's the end. What an insane concept for a comic issue holy shit
Well enjoy my residual Catholic issues and cynicism about white men getting away with whatever they want, I guess. This is what you come to this blog to see, right?

Just got from watching Thor Love and Thunder in theatre...
As much as I LOVE Taika Waititi's humor, there is WAY too MUCH joking. Put it all in one quarter or even in half the movie, but don't put in most of it. That becomes really annoying after one hour of film. It's like I was watching the bloopers! It felt like the only serious character was the antagonist!
Next to that, we get canon lesbian Valkyrie and gay Korg, and globally a LOT of queerness (looking at you Omnipotent City).
Mighty Thor Jane looks really, REALLY cool and badass and so much interesting but... she should have been that way from the beginning! When it's revealed she has cancer, no one cares. Because who cared about MCU Jane Foster before? For real?? See what I mean? We shouldn't have waited 3 movies and 11 years to have a properly written Jane Foster, especially when there is so much material in the comics!
Speaking about Jane, it's same problem with her love story with Thor. It was all boring and not credible in the first Thor movie, so why should we feel sorry about their breakup? Why should we believe now these two are in love when we didn't back in 2011? Again, that work should have been made in the FIRST movie! Not after 11 years and 4 Thor movies.
Besides, Thor keeps saying how much he loves Jane, that he's been loving her for 8 years or so, all the while having TWO of Loki's locks braided in his hair and very ostensibly shown (especially when he holds a dying Jane, how romantic) and while having a GIANT LOKI HELMET TATTOO ON HIS BACK!
Either way, I liked and enjoyed Lightyear WAY more than this movie.

The Warriors Three
“Thor: Love And Thunder” is dropping soon, and I for one am absolutely pumped for it! Thor is my favorite MCU hero, thanks in large part to the cheer and warmth that Chris Helmsworth brings to the role, and “Thor: Ragnarok” is one of my favorite MCU movies. So as you can imagine, considering this is a toy blog, we’re gonna be talking about the toys! Specifically, 3 for the price of one, with the “Love and Thunder” Deluxe Action Figures of The Mighty Thor, King Valkyrie, and Thor!
Tumblr media
So why are we doing a 3 for 1 deal? It’s because each figure is similar enough that it’s a good idea, especially since the similarities make the differences more striking. To do a good review of one, you need to compare it to the other two.
Thor himself is an icon of the MCU. He’s the Norse God of Thunder who was banished to Earth to learn humility and became a galaxy-traveling hero and founding Avenger. Valkyrie was introduced in the third “Thor” movie as a hard-drinking, jaded brawler with a heart who later becomes King of New Asgard during the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” The Mighty Thor is actually Thor’s ex, genius scientist Jane Foster, who now wields Thor’s old magic hammer, giving her all the powers of the original Thor. As the movie isn’t out yet, there’s not much else known of her heroic identity, but I’m excited.
Now, I normally don’t do this, but I want to talk about the figure packaging. Each figure comes in a package with an image of the toy on the box instead of a window on the box to see the actual toy you’re buying. On the one hand, that’s great, because the toy’s not getting exposed to germs during a very much still ongoing pandemic. On the other hand, this does make it hard to tell the quality of the figure you’re getting, so any paint errors or damage will be a surprise. Each figure is wrapped in tissue paper and tied to a cardboard insert to keep it safe, though this did still result in my Valkyrie’s swords getting bent a bit.
Each figure has a gimmick that’s triggered by squeezing their legs. Thor raises and swings his hammer, Stormbreaker, Mighty Thor spins her hammer, Mjolnir, and King Valkyrie swings her waist to to the right so she can do a slash with her twin swords, which look like her Dragonfang sword from her previous appearances. How good the gimmick is varies from toy to toy. With Thor, it works great. There’s no problem and everything goes as planned. Mighty Thor runs into a slight issue. You need to position her right arm just right to make the gimmick work, Otherwise, it will either start but get blocked by her cape, or just halfheartedly work, with all the enthusiasm of a high school senior taking a final, and the hammer will stop swinging about halfway across. With Valkyrie, you need to hold her upright to use her gimmick, or else the weight of her cape weighs her down a bit.
Tumblr media
A full-body suit of armor seems like a good move, until Loki attacks with a giant magnet.
In terms of looks, Thor and Mighty Thor look great, like they just stepped out of the comics, which is good because that is how their in-film costumes are supposed to look. Mighty Thor honestly looks better, though, with more paint and details sculpted on, while Thor, despite also having great sculpting, feels like he’s a bit lacking on paint. As for King Valkyrie, while the figure mostly also looks great, I feel like Hasbro could have done better with her head. While it does look like her, and the hair’s really good, her head’s not quite in proportion to the rest of her. It’s just a little too big.
There’s one detail I absolutely love about all three toys; they have different body types. Thor’s a broader guy, with clear muscles and armor, but he’s not built like He-Man. His build’s very realistic, even with all the armor. Mighty Thor’s got some clear muscle and bulk to her, which matches how Natalie Portman worked out for the role, but it’s a more realistic build than we often see in female superhero toys. To quote my fiancee, “there’s a bit of idealism, but it’s not bad, honestly.” Valkyrie has a smaller build, which matches her actress, and has a completely unique body, instead of just a repaint of Mighty Thor’s. Considering how often toys just repaint character bodies, especially with female characters, it’s nice to see this toyline went out of its way to do better. It’s also depressing that “these two women got unique figures with different body types” is where the bar is.
Tumblr media
The one pose she can be in if you want to use her gimmick.
So yes, the toys look great. On the other hand, all three figures are very limited in terms of articulation. Valkyrie has the best articulation, since both her wrists, her shoulders, and her head can move around nicely, though her hair can hinder the head sometimes. Mighty Thor is also decent, though her shoulders have a little less articulation and her hair can get bent by moving her head. Thor, meanwhile, is the weakest with articulation. His left arm has the same shoulder limits of Mighty Thor, and his hair and cape block his head from moving much, to an even greater extant than the other two figures. Also, unlike Mighty Thor, who can move her arm the gimmick is centered around without the gimmick being involved, Thor can’t move his gimmick-infused right arm without triggering his gimmick. The arm will just drop down. All three figures have no leg articulation, because you have to squeeze the legs to trigger the gimmick. I do give them a pass on this, though, even after looking at Laser Blade Buzz Lightyear’s leg-triggered gimmick, because these figures had a smaller budget than Buzz did, so it’s understandable their legs aren’t going to be an articulation hot spot.
Thor and Mighty Thor are the strongest figures in this line, though Valkyrie only loses points because her swords are very thin and can get bent very easily. Don’t put her in a box or set anything on top of her, or else those swords are gonna suffer.
Tumblr media
Her sword got bent because I picked her up at a bad angle. BE CAREFUL!
The “Love And Thunder” deluxe figures are currently available at retail for about $16, which does feel like a little much until you account for the rising prices since the 90’s. By today’s standards, that isn’t bad. They’re very clearly aimed at kids, who will definitely enjoy them, and the gimmicks make for fun things to fidget with. I would definitely recommend them. Next time, we’re going to be looking at more “Thor” stuff, because I am PUMPED for this new movie, so be ready! This is JL, signing off and wishing you Happy Toy Hunting!

Amora The Enchantress Multiverse Cosplay
I wanted some pics of my little Amora The Enchantress cosplay. Since I now have 2 outfits for my Multiverse Cosplay.
I started Amora The Enchantress last year because I've wanted to do it for a long time but never dared. Thanks to the lovely cosplay.valkyrie (Instagram) who gave me the push, I sat down with her and put together a concept and outfit Indeen. From the nude makeup to the makeup look that I wore at Comic Con Dortmund last year. From the first outfit with a headpiece I designed and made lovely craftevyty (Instagram).
My Amora The Enchantress Multiverse Marvel What If Cosplay
"No ghost, Namor -- for I be far more than spirit -- far more than mortal! Look now upon The Enchantress" -Amora (Earth-616)
Tumblr media
If you think you can trust her, she will show her real colors.
If you thought she was telling the truth, you will have lied to long ago.
If you think she loves you, she will betray you.
If you thought she was on your side ... no, her own gain will be most important to her.
Amora The Enchantress is a story of dreams, hopes, and how you can be shattered by your own ambitions. Because that's exactly what she ... She wanted so much to break about it. No one is to blame but herself. She had a choice, she made hers. Tried to make it up again and again and is against it break. Trapped in a depression that she knows she will never get rid of. Amora The Enchantress one of the few deepest characters in the Marvel Universe.
Tumblr media
Personally, I don't see it that way, as we already have a goddess of love in the Marvel comic universe. For me it's more like a goddess of magic, why?
Very simple ^^
Nobody likes to master magic like she does (apart from Doctor Stange!), After all she can manipulate magic too, if not in the broadest sense. Is Amora still able to flip magic in such a way that it can cause great damage to the user who is actually using it.
Magic, by the way, maintains her beauty, just as her lips are enchanted. That everyone who kisses her automatically falls in love with her. And not even Loki or Thor are sure of that. Magic permeates Amora's whole life and when Amora means "love" one should always remember that Amora creates artificial love. Which is also her biggest curse because she will never understand what love really is. She loves her children and sacrifices a lot for them. But even then you have to say that motherhood changes you. Nevertheless, she always puts her own goals above others and also at the expense of her children. So goddess of love and better goddess of magic. On the other hand, we must not forget that Frayer also exists in the Marvel Comics and she is also listed as the goddess of beauty and love at Marvel. Even bringing the characters Frayer and Frigga together at Marvel hasn't changed anything. And anyone who has looked at the MCU composition very closely and dealt with it will have noticed that Frigga in the MCU also has strong parallels to Frayer, which makes Frigga the goddess of marriage and love in the MCU. Of love in every form and to support and affirm it, everything that makes a real love goddess. Not to feel love but also to preserve it, to live it out and not to deform or exploit it. In the end everyone has to decide for themselves ^^
For me she will always be the goddess of magic ^^
Tumblr media
"How you must hate the mighty thunder god Loki! I know you gave Odin this plan! Anyway ... I will accomplish this mission ... I've wanted to win the heart of the handsome Thor for a long time!" -Amora (Earth-616)
Tumblr media
The team of Chos Loki Amora, Mischief and Enchantress
Loki and Amora have had so many ups and downs throughout Marvel history. Always looking forward to the next drama.

“It’s not his fault he’s in love with you.”
Loki froze on his tracks, eyes suddenly widening like those of one who had not expected to have such pungent truth hit him like a house of bricks without warning. Almost as if fearing what he’d find behind him, he tentatively peeked at Eros over his shoulder.
“I know loving you is not something you’d do willingly yourself, but you don’t need to punish him for it.”
Hard from insulting or assertive, Eros looked infuriatingly calm, like a person who is genuinely speaking from the bottom of their hearts with the best of intentions, and not just because he fancied getting on Loki’s nerves. Ironically, however, the fact that he was indeed being simply good upset him all the same. The Titan shrugged his shoulders.
“Loki, there’s no ticking bomb, no... dooming, imminent realization,” Eros went on, taking the other’s absolute silence as permission to proceed while he approached him. “He knows everything that you did, he’s aware of... every mistake you’ve ever made, same way you know about his, and guess what? He’s not judging you either. You’re both too busy redeeming yourselves, you’re so appalled by the things you did yourselves that you don’t care what the other did, because you think everything pales in comparison to your own unspeakable past.”
Everything he was hearing sounded absurdly obvious, and yet on second thought, it was the ever present elephant in the room, that to which they would constantly allude without ever properly addressing it for what it was. Still, part of him feared that this experience was but one-sided, that while he felt that there was nothing James could possibly reveal about himself, about what he had done, that would ever convince them of the fact that he was still by leaps and bounds such a much better being than he himself could ever aspire to be, James was instead growing more and more aware with each passing day that he actually deserved much better company. Then again, he thought, he could have been making much more of an effort to be proper company to being with.
“Even back when we first met, all you’ve ever wanted was for someone to appreciate you for who you are. Not as a Prince, not as Mighty Thor’s brother... not even as a trickster. Well, not only does he appreciate that you’re not the person you used to be, he is actually in love with who you’ve become. And you’re in love with him. Do you have any idea how... unprecedented that is for him?” At this point, the Prince of Titan couldn’t help becoming emotional himself, his heightened empathy all but overwhelmed by both their latent feelings they were failing to express and yet exuded through their every move.
“His life got taken away from him at its prime and then thrusted back with a billion pre-conceptions he couldn’t even remember. As far as he’s concerned, he’s damaged goods, he is beyond redemption, which is exactly how you feel about yourself. So will you just stop trying to convince him otherwise and relish on the fact that someone you love loves you right back? Have you got any idea how rare and precious that is? How dare you try to turn your back on it?”
Eros needed to pause in order to take a breath, having gotten more carried away than he had anticipated, perhaps because these two people’s feelings were so palpable and yet so secretive it drove him mad, he himself having a few emotional affairs to sort out already.
“You think everyone else thinks you’re not trustworthy, well, guess what? You trust yourself the least. There’s no angle. There’s no ulterior motive, there’s no glorious purpose, there’s nothing, you’re just in love. With the one person who is just as shocked as you are than anyone at all could love him at this point, you two are quite literally one in a trillion. Now give me one good reason why you shouldn’t grab onto this for as long as you can.”
To neither’s surprise, Loki said nothing. Eros inhaled, suddenly overcome by a sense of peace that he knew could only come from his perceiving that the God of Mischief had at last made up his mind.
“I wish we could have met right now,” whispered the Knave of Hearts, faintly shaking his head with regret as he watched him closely. Back in the day, centuries before, he had been enchanted by the young prince’s potential, having sensed with him a cunningness and drive unlike any other he’d ever seen before, positively electrified by his mere company.
Neither one had been prepared at the time for anything like what their current incipient relationships promised to be, something that would surely become even more fulfilling than they could have ever anticipated. And yet, a small part of him would forever wondered what could have been if instead they had first met as the people they currently were, and not as the inexpert, lustful, privileged brats they used to be.
“I love you for who you are too, by the way,” Eros reassured him with a soft smile, bringing a hand up in order to tenderly cup the other’s cheek. “I want you to be happy. You deserve to be happy. You may not agree, but... you do.”
After having pressed a fervent, lasting kiss to his former lover’s cheek, Eros disappeared.

An Unfortunate Predicament
Warnings: tickling, fluff, maybe a little bit of reader crushing on a certain Asgardian
Word count: 2600
Honestly not sure where this came from, but I've dumped this silly idea out of my head and into this fic. Hopefully you find it amusing.
* * *
For the life of you, you don’t know how you ended up in this position.
Well, you do know how you got up here, at least. Tony had announced that he had a ropes course installed in the tower (for ‘additional training opportunities’ he insisted, although you all knew he just wanted an excuse to watch you all fall flat on your faces when you missed a step). Many of the Avengers were eager to try it out, especially Thor and Peter, who had giddily shoved their way to the front of the line to be the first to attempt the course.
You, on the other hand, had hung back from the group. You were afraid of heights, and while this ropes course wasn’t more than 6 or 7 feet off the ground, and there were soft rubbery mats underneath to break your fall should you slip, you couldn’t bring yourself to try it. Especially not in front of your teammates. No one knew about this little fear of yours, and you preferred to keep it that way to avoid being teased for being the only Avenger afraid of heights.
After a week or so, once the novelty had worn off for the rest of the team, you started to consider if maybe practicing on the course might help you to learn to get past this silly phobia. On a few occasions, you had casually made your way down to the gym where the ropes course was housed under the pretense of looking for someone, when really you were scoping it out to see if the room was unoccupied. Every time you tried, though, there was inevitably someone either practicing on the course or otherwise using some of the other gym equipment in the room. You much preferred that no one was there to witness you attempt it for the first time just in case you started to panic when you started to climb up that first rope ladder.
This morning, the other Avengers had disembarked on a mission before you had woken up for the day. This particular mission had no requirement for your talents, so you were able to stay behind and take a much-needed day to yourself. After lounging in bed for much of the morning, the notion crossed your mind that the gym would be completely and definitively empty for the afternoon.
And so, you made your way down to the gym and started slowly climbing up the ladder to the first platform. Once you reached the top and stood up, you looked down at the floor and felt your stomach drop just a bit. However, you steeled yourself and continued on across the swinging rope bridge in front of you. After a few obstacles, you had finally started to feel your fear start to ebb away as you became accustomed to the view. You started moving more quickly across the obstacles, now trying to see how fast you could get through the entire course.
Unfortunately, your rushing ended up being your downfall. You were crawling across a rope net to get to the next platform when suddenly you felt the net start to tip to the side. Normally, the purpose of the obstacle would have been to continue climbing upside down until you reached the other side. However, you had panicked at the sudden motion, stiffening as the net rolled over. Your leg slipped through one of the holes of the net, and somehow it twisted around your ankle enough to hold it in place while the rest of your body continued to flip over.
And now, here you were, hanging upside-down from this ropes course with your leg tangled in the net, blood rushing to your head as you tried to process what just happened. Your head was much closer to the ground now, at least, but it wasn’t quite close enough for you to reach the floor with your hands to try to gain leverage to untangle yourself. You tried to lift your upper body up in a sort of 180-degree sit-up to attempt to untangle your ankle from the net, but the rope was too taut for you to loosen it enough to pull your leg out. Frustrated, you relaxed your aching abdominal muscles and let yourself hang there, realizing with dread in the pit of your stomach that there was no one else in the compound to come help you escape.
Figuring you would have better luck getting yourself unhooked if you allowed yourself some time to rest, you let yourself just hang there and took a few deep breaths. Just as you were mustering up the strength to try again, a voice from the doorway caused you to jump in surprise.
“Well now. What an unfortunate predicament you’ve gotten yourself into.”
No. Oh no. Literally anyone else could have walked in and you’d have felt some relief, that someone was going to help you get down from this trap. Why did it have to be Loki?
“Shut up,” you muttered, folding your arms across your chest in an attempt to look annoyed despite your inverted position. “You could just help me down from here, you know.”
“I certainly could. But where would be the fun in that?” Loki strolled into the room, coming to a stop just a foot away from you. From this angle, you had to look down (or, rather, up) slightly to see his face, as your head hung at just about his shoulder level.
“What’s so fun about standing here and watching me hang upside-down?” you retorted. “Suppose I enjoy this?”
“If you did, you wouldn’t have just asked me to help you down, now would you?” Loki started to pace in a slow circle around you, forcing you to twist your neck and torso to be able to keep an eye on him. You knew better than to turn your back on the trickster by now. “Besides – if I recall, it was you who stole all of my books last week and hid them throughout the tower, hmm?”
You snickered at that. It was totally worth it to watch Loki storming around the tower, grumbling as he emptied drawers and crawled on the floor to look under furniture in hopes he would find his books. Honestly, you were surprised he hadn’t tried to prank you in return yet, but you had a feeling it was coming. Although, it seemed you had put yourself in just the position for him to exact his revenge without having to think of a prank.
“Oh yes, I’m sure you thought it was amusing then,” he growled, pacing back around in front of you and leaning down so his face was inches from yours as he glared at you. “You realize, I hope, that the others will not be back for at least another four hours?”
“What? I thought they were supposed to be home in an hour!” you exclaimed. Loki smirked.
“They are running a bit late. Ran into some minor complications during the mission. They should be leaving to head home in about an hour.”
You groaned at this revelation. You knew they were a three-hour plane ride away, and so if Loki was telling the truth, you would be dangling upside down for quite some time unless you convinced him to help you. Taking a deep breath, you swallowed your pride and started to plead.
“Loki… I’m sorry about your books, really. Please, could you help me get down?” you begged. His smirk only grew wider at this.
“You must be truly desperate, darling, to already be begging for me to help you,” he chuckled. You felt heat prickle in your cheeks, partially from embarrassment at having gotten yourself into this situation and partially from the unexpected thrill that rushed through your chest at the slow, smooth tone of his voice as he taunted you.
“If I admit it, will you finally help me get down?” you bartered, ready for this interaction to end so you could go hide in your room for the rest of the night in complete humiliation.
“Hmm. That certainly would help your case, but I’ll need a bit more than that,” he countered.
“Ugh, like what?” Loki thought for a moment, touching a finger to his chin.
“Admit that I am the superior prankster in the tower,” he demanded, “and that you never stood a chance against the all-mighty god of mischief. AND-“ he added, cutting you off as you opened your mouth to protest, “you have to say this to all of the Avengers when they return.”
“Ok, first of all, you know they’ll know you’re making me say it, so where’s the fun in it for you?” you quipped.
“I know. I also know how much embarrassment it will still cause you to have to say it out loud.” His smirk was practically wicked by this point.
“Alright, but suppose it does embarrass me that much - even if I agree to it, how do you know I won’t just go back on my word once you get me down?” you retorted.
“If you do, I will put you right back where I found you, and someone else will have to get you down,” he opposed. Your eyes widened, then narrowed indignantly.
“You wouldn’t.”
“We both know you know I would.”
“You are insufferable, you know that?” you muttered, pinching the bridge of your nose in frustration. “Fine. I’ll do it. Just get me down.”
“A wise decision,” he declared. Loki stepped underneath the net and inspected the rope wrapped around your ankle. He reached up and tugged on it a bit to test how much give it would provide. “The rope is wound too tightly for me to unwind it,” he observed.
“Well, can’t you get me down some other way then?”
“I think if I lift you up enough that your weight isn’t holding the rope taut, you should be able to slip out of it,” he suggested. You nodded, willing to try anything at this point. He reached up and grabbed hold of your waist just above your hips, causing you to jerk involuntarily and let out a high-pitched squeak. You felt your stomach drop again, the same way it had when you’d first climbed up onto the ropes course, when you saw Loki’s expression morph from confusion to pure mischief.
“Wh-what are you giving me that look for?” you asked hesitantly, reaching up absentmindedly to pull your shirt down where a sliver of skin had been showing.
“Because I just learned something new about you, and I don’t think I’m quite ready to help you down just yet,” he explained, his tone ominous.
“Don’t… you… dare,” you growled.
“Darling, I don’t believe you’re in a position to be making threats,” he retorted, starting to pace around you again.
“Loki! Get back here where I can see yOU!” Your voice pitched up an octave as you felt him tweak your side. “I swear to god, Loki, I will hold you down and beat you senselehehehess!” You lost your composure as you felt ten slender fingers gently scratching at your sides just below your ribcage.
“You don’t sound very threatening, love,” Loki teased, working his torturous fingers up between your lower ribs. You couldn’t respond coherently anymore, batting at his hands and twisting around violently trying to escape his touch. “Maybe you should try again, but this time with a bit more malice in your tone.”
“I will kihihihill you!” you shrieked, uncontrollable giggles spilling from your mouth as his fingers traveled to your belly, his thumbs digging into your sides. Being upside-down, in addition to not being able to see his face with him standing behind you, made you feel incredibly exposed. You reached down and grasped both of his wrists, tugging as hard as you could to pull his hands away from your ticklish torso to no avail.
Loki thankfully paced back around in front of you, continuing to tickle you with one hand as he walked. You realized this was actually probably worse than when he was behind you because now you could see his amused expression, and you knew he could see the flustered flushing of your face. You tried your hardest to shoot him a menacing glare, which only succeeded in drawing a laugh from him as he latched both hands onto your upper ribs and continued to tickle you with renewed vigor.
“OK! OK! WAIHIHIT LOKI! I CAHAHAN’T!” you pleaded as he slipped his thumbs under your arms, his fingers wrapped around the back of your uppermost ribs and digging into your skin in the most agonizing way. You were thrashing violently now trying to evade his fingers, not noticing the rope looped around your ankle slipping.
The next thing you knew, your ankle slid out of the rope net above you, and you came crashing to the floor. Or, rather, you came crashing down onto Loki, who then crashed to the floor under the impact.
Relieved that at least he was no longer tickling you, you gasped for breath and pushed yourself up onto your hands. You heart skipped when you realized that your nose was practically touching his, but the shock caused your muscles to freeze. For a moment, Loki didn’t move either, looking straight into your eyes.
You finally regained your composure, deciding to play it off as if you’d found a way to beat him at his own game to hide the fact that your heart was pounding in your throat at the close contact. You grinned wickedly down at him.
“Looks like I got myself down, didn’t I?” you quipped. “Guess I don’t have to lie and say you’re the best prankster after all.”
Loki narrowed his eyes at you for a moment, which should have been your cue to get up, but before you realized it he had grabbed your arms and flipped you so he was now hovering over you. You looked up at him, bewildered, as he smirked evilly back at you.
“Oh darling, that was a mistake.” You jolted as his fingers once again made contact with your ribcage, unable to control the hysterical laughter bubbling from your chest as he dug his fingertips into every ticklish spot he could find. You kicked and scrambled to try to scoot away from him without success, his hands darting rapidly between your sides, belly, underarms, ribs, back to your belly…
“ALRIGHT! W-WAIT! S-STOP! I’LL SAY IT!” you begged, your muscles so weak from laughter now you could no longer fight back, lying there on the floor as he drove you into madness. At long last, he finally released you, moving away to kneel on the floor beside you. “Jeez, Loki… that was… that was evil,” you huffed, still breathless from his malicious attack.
“Maybe next time you’ll know not to mess with the god of mischief,” he warned, offering you a hand to help you sit up. “After all – now I know your weakness.” You blushed furiously, wrapping your arms subconsciously around your ribs as he deviously wiggled his fingers at you. Ready to finally go hide in your room, you picked yourself off the ground and started walking toward the door. “Don’t forget! I expect to see you in the common room when the others arrive home this evening!” he called after you. You turned and shot him one last glare before leaving the room.
You couldn’t make any promises that you’d actually show up. And if that meant he would come find you and torment you some more… well, you supposed you maybe wouldn’t mind.

Loki Laufeyson:Delusions (Loki x Reader)
Warning: NONE! Slight Mean + Sad Loki
A/N: Love this one! I always feel so bad for Loki in Thor The Dark World :(
Summary: After Loki returns to Asgard he is immediately sent to prison for his crimes on Earth. Unfortunate events occur when Asgard is under attack and you just want nothing more than to check in on your beloved.

The news of Loki return to Asgard was both worrisome and exciting. There were rumors being spread about that he was returning as a fugitive for the destruction of not only earth, but the crimes that he had committed against  Asgard. You of course found yourself just happy to know that he was alive. He may not had been well, but sure he was very much alive.
Living. Breathing. Speaking.
Out of all Thor’s closest friends, you and Loki bounded the most, which caused you solely, to develop feelings for him. These feelings would lead to a sever fallout between you and your warrior companions. With Loki’s criminal accusations, hate and critism came from many, especially from Sif and Fandral. For you to still think highly of him,--well you were considered a traitor in their eyes.
When he returned you were forbidden to pay him any visits. Odin also ordered that the only visitors Loki received were of kin and even those visits were kept very minimal. Now with the unbearable news of Frigga’s death you worried about his sanity even more than before.
The queen has been deceased for a few days now, Thor was easily consoled  by Jane’s presents and the support of the Asgardian people who were also mourning their queen. However no one was concerned for the fallen prince, except for you. You knew that his crimes were severe, but nothing was more torturous than knowing of your mothers death and there is nothing for you to do because you are locked away without even the slightest hope of saying goodbye.
For days you try to receive information on the location of where Loki was being held. You are a warrior of Asgard, you should have known these things, but because of your so-called bias-ness for the Prince of Mischief you weren’t allowed. Your inquiries about Loki’s whereabouts in the palace were extremely noticeable and you received a lot of animosity for it, especially from Lady Sif. She called you stupid and selfish for wanting to see him. You were also accused of not having any dignity or self respect. No one would tell you directly where Loki was being held, but with enough sneaking around the palace, you finally over heard a few guards speaking of his whereabouts.
With the common criminals.
-
You have been watching two sets of guards for more than an hour. You wanted to  slip past them undetected, but you needed to wait for the perfect moment. You weren't one of the most skilled warriors in fighting but you were known for your intelligence and abilities to be clever in any situation. The plan was for you to create a diversion to get the guards away from the staircase leading down to the dungeons.  You knew that since the palace had been attacked from the inside out the guards would be on high alert. You cast a large stone, breaking a window to which the guards attention is drawn to the noise. They run into the direction of the shattering glass. As you sneak past them, the memories of Stif warning you fills your mind as you flip into the entrance running down the concrete staircase as quickly as possible.
“It’ll be the last thing you do” She threatened.
“He is a prisoner, he knows his crime.” She scoffed
“If you go to him, we will know where your loyalties lie.”
“Loki cares nothing about you, he is a man who cares simply for himself.”
You reach the bottom of the large steps, hoping you were turning down the correct corridor as you ran quickly. You notice on your way that the majority of the cells are completely empty. This worried you, but did not stop you from searching for him. You luckily reach his location without any mishaps.
“Loki!” You announce breathlessly watching as he paced around the small room with his back turned away from you.
His cell was tidy, clean as if he had not touched a single thing. He had all of his things that brought him comfort; fancy furniture, books, papers, and pens. You knew that Loki loved to read because the two of you spent the majority’s of your time together in the library. You felt at ease knowing that he at least had that. This was of course curtsy of the Queen; she asked for these items. Although he was being punished, the only thing she wanted for her dear son was that he was comfortable in his confinement no matter what he had done.
“What is it ?!” He snapped turning around to face you. He took heed in your presence and then pressed his lips into a thin line. “Ah, Lady (Y/n).” He greets you calmly, then an amused grin appears on his face. “Here to tell me the mighty King has passed on too?”
His comment took you by surprise, you assumed he would be just as grateful to see you, as you were to see him.
“Don’t be so morbid Loki!” You cut him off with offense frowning your face in confusion. “With the news of your mother passing, I would think you’d have far-more compassion for your family, for Asgard.”
“My family.” He repeats, mocking your charismatic tone placing his hand over his chest. “My Family is not here on Asgard. My family are no more than those disgusting vile creatures you fight and kill.”
“Loki I know you’re hurting, I know you have all this anger built up, but you have to know that you do have family and loved ones here on Asgard.” You say subtlety hinting at yourself. “I did not come here to be mocked.” You say in a calming voice as he walks over to you.
You place a hand on the enchanted glass as you look up to his figure continuing to speak. “I am not one for your dramatics, I just wanted to see how you were holding up.”
“Holding up?” He lets out a malice laugh. “Ha! Holding up?! I am locked in a cage like an animal!”
You slam your fist against the glass in annoyance realizing your loving reunion was falling flat. You did not come here to argue with this man, you didn’t even plan far enough to think of exactly what you wanted to say, but it was never envisioned like this.
“And who’s fault is that Loki?! Who’s fault!?” You snap matching his dramatic tone.
“My own! For trusting idiots!” He yells back and you can’t help but think what idiots he were referring to. He continues,  “Why are you even down here, Odin forbade anyone from seeing me, you can’t be THAT stupid. Or perhaps you want to cast more stones?”
“Cast stones?— I came here as a friend Loki. All this worrying I did for you, all the tears and regrets. I risked my own life and freedom by coming down here” You scoff rolling your eyes at his demeanor. “Just to be spat on by you?”
“Better I to you, then you to me.” He laughs.
“That is your problem, you always think people want to hurt you just as bad as you want to hurt them! Look at you and your brother, he mourned you, we all did, and you go and do this? Destroy and take over the only place he loves. What did you gain?!”
“Oh bullshit! That place was nothing, but a pathetic little wasteland! They needed ORDER.”
“They needed no such thing Loki, YOU needed a sense of belonging.” You say with emphasis.
“My god you’re just as delusional as my brother .” He laughs.
“Delusional?!” You yell.
“Yes.” He says calmly, pleased at how angry he was making you. He walks away and sits on his couch crossing his legs and resting his arms on top of them. “D-e-l-u-s-i-o-n-a-l, delusional.”
As he walked away you noticed a single error in his walk as if it all was an illusion. Something that only someone who knew Loki would catch if they payed close enough attention.
“Enough, no more illusions Loki. Show me your true state, I know you are not this heartless. The only person who stands here delusional is you!”
With that, what you thought was the real Loki fades away in shimmers. A much sadder scene formed before you. The cell becomes a mess, with the once neat furniture, either broken or distorted across the room. The scuff marks on the walls concluded that he had thrown the furniture with immense force. His beloved books were ripped and torn to shreds, and his once neat clothes tattered and disheveled. Your eyes meet his saddened pale figure sitting on the floor near something he recently broken. Fresh blood oozes down his foot as the glass that was lodge in him is discarded next to him on the floor.
“IS THIS WHAT YOU WANTED TO SEE!? A BROKEN MAN YOU SEE !?” His unruly hair falls into his face as he screams at the top of his lungs, veins bulging from his neck.
You immediately go to the side panel that unlocks the cell, running to his aid. You kneel beside him where there is not much debris, wrapping your arms around him and pulling him into a tight hug. He barriers himself deep into your neck letting out a silent sob. You hold him close as if you never wanted to let him go.
“I am here Loki.” You whisper to him placing a kiss to the top of his head.
You have never in your seen the Prince so weak, so fragile, so upset, so venerable. This all must have taken a huge toll on him, you couldn’t imagine what he was going through.
“ I did not want this for myself, I did not want this, not for her.” He says lowly as his voice breaks.
“I know.” You rub his back softly. “But you have to know that she loved you unconditionally with all her being, Loki.”
“I-, I don’t believe that.” He sighs with a hint of hesitation in his voice. “No one could ever.”
“That should not be hard to believe because I do, I love you too, I love you unconditionally.”
“You love me?” Asked confused he pulls away from your embrace looking at you with puffy red eyes.
“Yes.” You admit.
“You surely love as a friend correct?” He questions with squinted eyes.
“More.” You place a hand on his cheek giving him a small reassuring smile. “I’ve always loved you Loki, more than a companion, way before any of this.”
He places his hand over yours, giving you a weak smile, then leans in to kiss you. You were surprised , but quickly adapted the new feeling. The kiss was sweet and slow, so slow it felt as if time had stopped. He pulls away resting his forehead against yours.
“This probably is the best news I’ve received all week.” He says with a light chuckle. "I'm so sorry."
You smile pecking his lips once more before speaking again.
“I hope you know that for me to love you unconditionally, that I know who you are deep down. I know you aren’t all bad. I know that you had your reasons for going to earth and ruining New York, just as you had reasons for all the mayhem you have created. What was it ?” You say attempting to have him open up more.
“My reasoning ?” He asked in an unsure voice. “ I do not know.” He concluded turning way to look forward as if he was thinking.
“I find that very hard to believe Loki.” You say resting your head on his shoulder, taking his hand. “But I’m here whenever you’re ready to open up.”
It was true, you never thought Loki was all bad, you knew that there had to be reasons behind his mischief and misunderstanding. A few minutes passed of the two of you just being in one another’s presents. You imagined in other circumstances, this is how Thor felt when he Jane, as if nothing else matter other than the fact that they had each other.
“It…. His name was Thanos, after I fell from the birfrost—” He finally spoke, but it was short lived.
“(Y/n)!” You hear Thor shout from the other end of the cell interrupting. He states at the two of you intensely.
“Thor it is not what is seems.” You say imagining Lady Sif would soon be on her was as well.
“You are not in trouble (Y/n), but I need to speak to my brother, alone.”
You turn your attention back to Loki and he nods patting your hand. The two of you get up and Loki weakly walks you over to the entrance of the cell that you  previously came through.
“We can talk later, you know I’ll be here.” He looks at you with a knowing grin placing another kiss on your lips, before Turing to his brother.
You nod turning away to leave the two alone to talk. You had hopes that one day you and Loki could somehow be together, and finish that conversation, but today was clearly not that day.

SUMMARY: You are a servant of the royal family of Asgard. After an embarrassing incident at one of Thor's revels, Prince Loki finds a way to make it up to you.
A/N: This was originally posted on ao3 a couple months ago under my username MavenMorozova (not linking it because tumblr will mess it up--), but support it there if you’d like:)
Tumblr media
You were spread out on the large, plush bed, dark green sheets billowing with the slight breeze around you. Well, really, it was less of a bed and more of an outdoor sofa, or maybe something in-between the two, with a dark wood canopy from which hung slightly sheer curtains the same color as the sheets you lay upon. There were pillows, too, blue and black and gold, that contrasted the green quite nicely. It was a pleasant design, and that made it all the more relaxing.
Loki had always had an eye for design and the aesthetics of a space. You could tell, as you were sure everyone could, the way that he dressed was impeccable, and his wardrobe stuck to a theme that looked rather good on him. Green. It was clear too that his chambers in the Asgardian royal palace were decorated in a similar fashion. It suited him, really.
Losing your focus on the moment in the thoughts swirling in your head about design and coloring and everything else, you let your neck muscles relax and sank your head into the pillow under it. Loki would be here soon, you reminded yourself, and the thought sent a shiver down your spine. You knew what would occur when he arrived, for he had whispered the idea into your ear during the revelries today.
As usual, Thor had basked in his glory, shouting and pounding on the table and shaking his fists in the air as he roared. Loki had been his typical self as well, smiling at his brother from the corner of the room as he happily drank from his goblet. And you’d been there, too, a mere serving-girl, indulgently filling all their chalices as the warriors ceremoniously tossed them on the floor with a shout. It was one of the few moments that you felt relaxed, even though you were technically just doing your job, and that was because you were amidst all the joy and excitement of the best and brightest of all of Asgard. They were the sun, and you were the moon that clung to its stubborn orbit.
Out of nowhere, Loki had locked eyes with you. His gaze had been surprisingly intense, tracking you as you moved quickly over to him with your refilling bottle. But when you had lifted it, a question in your gaze, he had simply smirked and shaken his head. “You don’t wish for more wine, Your Highness?” you had asked.
Loki shook his head again. “I just wanted to get a good look at you,” he admitted, voice soft. “You are beautiful, as you must know.”
At his words, you blushed and looked down, lowering the bottle of dark wine slightly. “Your compliment is most appreciated, Your Highness, but—”
Loki shushed you, placing a finger to his lips, still smiling. You wondered if he was slightly tipsy, but then again, you wouldn’t be surprised if he was, rather more so if he was not. “Please accept my gift to you, my dear.”
Your brows furrowed. “Gift, Your Highness?”
“My compliment,” he replied with a snicker. His eyes roved up and down your body once ever so slowly, and you couldn’t help flushing again. The back of your collar was suddenly quite hot, and you adjusted your neck slightly to give it air.
Then, suddenly, he was closer, and somehow it was now you with your back pressed against the wall instead of him, gasping as he took your hand and lifted it to his mouth. “Your hands are rather smooth for a servant, young one,” Loki whispered.
A chill skittered across your shoulders and you swallowed tightly. “I-I’m new, Your Highness.” You couldn’t help but feel a tinge of apprehension as you said it. The feeling he was eliciting from you now was pleasing, to say the least, and you certainly desired more, but you couldn’t risk losing your position within the royal palace. You were nothing but a servant, and he was a prince, a god. No consequences would be inflicted upon him, and you were sure that you would receive the brunt of it. So taking in a short breath, you scooted away from him along the wall, wine bottle still in your hand. “I apologize, but I cannot, my prince.”
Loki’s lips thinned, but he said nothing else. As you walked away, you were sure that would be the last of him, but you hadn’t even made it two steps before a familiar voice called, “Wait!” and a long-fingered hand closed itself around your wrist, jerking you back around to face him. You stumbled and tripped and suddenly, with a great lurch of dismay, the wine bottle in your free hand tipped and fell, spilling over your uniform and splashing on Loki’s armor.
You stood there for a moment, stunned, mouth slightly agape. This was...not the way you had planned for the night to go. You were meant to secondhandedly enjoy the revelries, then retreat to your own quarters and catch up on some much-needed sleep, for the Asgardian warriors had been feasting and partying for days now, and you had been there each night, dutiful as always.
It was not meant to be like this. Not like the slick embarrassment that felt like cold oil being poured over your face and down your skin. Not your uniform ruined and all of Asgard’s greatest warriors, including the crown prince himself, the mighty Thor, staring at you, right at you. You gulped, feeling the familiar feeling of anxiety creeping through your chest. You couldn’t breathe, much less think. All you could see were the faces of gods and warriors before you, so polished and powerful and— You were, you were…
“Carry on,” called a low voice beside you, and with a start, you looked over to see that Loki had addressed his peers with a raised eyebrow. You saw him exchange a glance with Thor, and with a nod, the God of Thunder broke into a large smile, banging his goblet on the table. “So who wants to hear how I defeated the rogue Jötunn on Vanaheim?”
Around him, his mates cheered, and you felt yourself audibly sigh with relief when their attentions turned away from you. But there was still one person leftover.
“I’m…so sorry,” Loki said from beside you. He did look truly regretful; his forehead was knit together in a series of frustrated lines, he was still, and for once, unsmiling, and you could see that his teeth gently bit his upper lip. But you didn’t know how to respond, so you simply leaned down to pick up the wine bottle that had fallen, averting your gaze from his.
“I can make it up to you, perhaps?” Loki said slyly, his voice nearly a question, and you shot up again, knuckles turning white around the bottle’s neck. The implications of his words lingered in your brain, but hadn’t that same weakness been what had gotten you into this situation in the first place? “Prince Loki, I cannot, as you know,” you said to him softly, not wanting to anger him. “I cannot lose my position. It is...unprofessional of me to indulge you in this way.”
Loki’s lips thinned, though there was a hint of amusement still dancing within his blue eyes. “What if I could persuade you otherwise?”
You swallowed. He was very close to you now, hand drifting from your wrist around to the small of your back. The sensation of his hands was intoxicating, and you couldn’t deny that you’d had fantasies about lying with the God of Mischief before. It was just...could you, in all actuality, fulfill it?
Loki sighed when he saw your persistent hesitation. “My dear, what is your name?”
You told him quietly, embarrassed that he even wanted to know, that he even cared.
He repeated it softly to himself, letting the delightful syllables roll around his silver tongue. “You will not get into trouble, I promise,” he then said, pulling you closer. The back of your neck was hot again, and you could feel the touch of his hand acutely where it lay, fingers pressing into your skin.
Slowly, you looked up at him, meeting his eyes again. You had never been so close to one of the designated “gods” of Asgard before, and you couldn’t help but worry that you were going to stumble again and mess it all up. “Alright,” you finally said, so quietly that you could barely hear yourself speak.
“What’s that?” Loki asked, a teasing smirk on his mouth.
“I will allow you to, um—”
Loki leaned into you, his lips brushing the shell of your ear. “Fuck you? Ravish you until you beg for me to come inside of you?” he whispered in a low, needy voice. At the sound of it, you released the tiniest of moans, and Loki chuckled into your ear. “You want this more than you are letting on, don’t you?” he asked wickedly, and you nodded despite your so-called honorable intentions.
Loki pulled away, his face blank like the exchange between the two of you had not just happened. “My chambers need cleaning, servant,” he said authoritatively, chin rising in the air as he eyed you from an angle, gauging your reaction. You narrowed your eyes at him, but you could feel a smile creeping onto your lips. “Of course, Your Highness.”
You turned to go, but Loki nearly spun you into his arms again as he grabbed you, whispering one last thing into your ear before you could go. “There will be a private maid there to assist you,” he said, and though you weren’t sure exactly what he meant, you nodded.
“Go,” he ordered, and you did, still clutching the empty wine bottle, with its contents all over your uniform’s dress. Loki would join you in his chambers, then, after he had excused himself from the party and shaken off the loud braggings of his brother.
So you had wandered your way to the most coveted part of the castle, the place where all the servants whispered of. The royal chambers of the Allfather, Queen Frigga, and the two heartstopping princes, Thor and Loki. The Gods of Thunder and Mischief. It was all quite daunting, especially since you’d heard anecdotes from a few of your peers, bragging of their sexual encounters with one of the princes or the other. Thor took more lovers than Loki ever did, or so it was said, but the ones who came back from Loki’s chambers always seemed to have a different type of aura surrounding them than those from Thor’s chambers. It was said that Thor was demanding and rough, but that Loki was passionate and gentle, even sometimes imperious, but in a different sort of way than Thor was. You had always laughed at that, wondering how a person could be all three, and in such different varieties. But then again, you were a virgin, and who were you to assume how sex worked?
So really, you were ready for anything as you made your way to Loki’s chambers.
When you reached the great double doors of polished oak that led the way into his drawing-room, you paused and knocked, quietly first, and then louder when your first knock brought no results. Almost immediately, a woman opened the doors, her petite figure dressed in Loki’s signature shade of green, and her eyes crinkled with age. “Welcome, my dear. Prince Loki did mention you would arrive.”
Your mouth fell open slightly. “What—he—?”
She held up her wrist, where a golden communication device caught the light of the candles that lit the room. Candles. They weren’t necessary; they hadn’t been needed for thousands of years. But they were something else— romantic. Loki was doing this for you.
“Do you need help with those clothes?” the servant asked, breaking you from your thoughts, and you nodded thankfully, setting down the wine bottle that you still were holding on the foot table that sat between two opposite-facing sofas.
“What is your name, my lady?” you asked her as she helped you removed your red-soaked uniform and place it into a laundry basket. She hummed for a moment, but then you saw her smile. “Estrid,” she said quietly, as if her name was a spell instead of just something to call her. You could sense that there was something about her that was more than she seemed, but it wasn’t really your place to pry.
“Well, thank you, Estrid,” you said to her, and you meant it with all the sincerity in your heart. You had been so mortified earlier, and feeling this older woman’s hands on your shoulders and around you like the embrace of a kindly mother was ever so comforting. “I really do appreciate it.”
“Of course, darling,” she said in reply with a twinkle in her eye, and as you stood naked before her, you suddenly remembered the purpose of your visit. Yet again, you felt that familiar heat flush your face and neck. “I, um—do you have—”
“Something to wear?” Estrid finished with a smile curling her lips. She left the room and emerged again with a long, silky green robe and simple black undergarments. You felt your face flush at the intimacy of the way they looked, even more so when you realized the intricacy of the designs on the bralette and underwear. There was lightly perceptible golden embroidery on the hems and on the lace that spanned the back of them. It was sexy, unlike anything you were used to. You had never owned anything this luxurious.
Estrid seemed unphased, though that only served to elevate your apprehension. So you addressed her. “Does the prince...often do this? Provide this luxury to low-level servants and promise them mind-numbing sex?” You were a little afraid to hear the answer.
Estrid paused from where she was unfolding the green robe, thinking for a moment, her expression unreadable. Finally, she shrugged and motioned for you to turn around so she could lace your arms through the robe’s sleeves. “Yes and no,” Estrid said evasively as she did so. “Loki takes lovers, yes, though not often. He is good at it, too.” She sighed. “I hope this doesn’t upset you, darling. I mean...this is something everyone knows.”
“I know,” you said a little too quickly. “I have friends who have slept with him. I’ve heard the stories.” It was said that though Loki was passive in Asgardian politics and deferred to his brother in general, the same could not be said for his actions in bed.
“Then you must also know that it is essential for him to sleep with someone at least once a moon,” Estrid said tentatively.
You stared at her. “What?” you asked. It wasn’t that it was a lot, quite the contrary, in fact, but just the fact that it was a “necessity” at all.
“He is the God of Mischief, love,” Estrid replied with a smirk. You could suddenly see now why Loki had chosen her to be his personal servant. She was just as charming as he was, if in a slightly different way. You didn’t feel the same enigmatic pull to her that you felt to Loki, but she was clever, and she was smart. You admired that about her already. “You do see where I’m heading, do you not?”
You nodded slowly. Mischief. Sex. It made sense that he’d need the latter to enhance his title and position. “I understand it,” you said to her after a moment. “I suppose it was just nice to feel special for a moment, before realizing that this is as common as it is.” You swallowed, biting back what you wanted to add on, that you had wanted your first time to be with someone who loved you, not just needed someone to fuck.
“Oh, but I wouldn’t be sure it is quite as you’re thinking, darling,” Estrid said with a smile, noticing your discomfort. “Loki has taken lovers, yes, but rarely has he provided any with...all of this.” She gestured at the lingerie you were now wearing and swept her arm around. You noticed that suddenly, a lavish amount of food had appeared, mostly desserts, and lots of chocolate, which was your favorite. How had he known? Well—it was a common trait, really, but still, you had no idea how all of this food could appear at once. It simply wasn’t possible.
“An illusion, dear,” Estrid explained, stepping up beside you and taking a chocolate-covered strawberry in her fingers. She popped it into her mouth and sighed with delight. “You will love these.”
“Thank you,” you said again, overwhelmed, but this time in a good sort of way.
Estrid wrapped her arms around you and gave you a quick squeeze. “You can talk to me anytime at all, do you understand?” she said sternly, and you were reminded again of how many years she was your senior. You laughed and nodded, and only when you wandered out onto the terrace did she finally slip from Loki’s chambers, disappearing into the hallway.
So that is where you were now, lying on the soft silky dark green sheets of the outdoor sofa-bed, enjoying the cool breeze that rushed over your mostly bare skin. No, this had not been the night you had planned at all. But you were sure that it would be a delightful one nonetheless.
***
Loki arrived not soon after you had laid down, creaking his chamber doors open quietly and striding through the length of the drawing-room out to the terrace, which is where he was sure you would be. When he saw you stretched out on the chaise for him, legs spread just a little apart, and barely wearing anything as you stared up at the night sky, he felt himself become aroused. You were so beautiful, all laid out for him like the illusionary feast he had prepared for you in his chambers. He wanted to take you and yet savor you at the same time.
From where you lay, you saw Loki approach you, saw the hunger in his gaze. He was just as needy as Estrid had warned, so you knew that you would need to speak to him before things slipped out of hand.
“Your Highness?” you asked tentatively as he crawled over you on the chaise, playing with the soft bits of your hair. “I must tell you—”
“Loki,” he interrupted, and for a moment you were confused, but then he was kissing you on your forehead, and then, his meaning was perfectly clear. “I want you to call me Loki,” he said, nearly growling. “Please.”
“Alright,” you said, nodding. “But it is important that you know...I’ve never—this is—” You broke off, unsure of how to confess to him, but Loki seemed to understand immediately. “This is your first time,” he said, his words in a firm statement like he already knew. You nodded warily, but Loki’s grin only widened. “I will make this worth it for you, darling,” he murmured into your ear, before nipping it slightly. You let out an unseemly moan at the little bit of contact he had just made, and Loki laughed as you did. “Yet again, you surprise me, little one,” he said, “just as you did at the revel.”
Your eyelashes fluttered and you looked up at him, mouth parted slightly. Was this really happening. Were you really about to be fucked by the prince, the God of Mischief? Loki Odinson?
“I sense doubt within you, young one,” Loki said, frowning.
“This is new to me,” you admitted, and with a breath, told him of the same worry that you had expressed to Estrid what seemed like just a moment ago. “Are you going to just leave me, discarded?” you finally asked him.
Loki seemed rather offended at the suggestion, his already-thin cheeks thinning further as he sucked in a breath and lay down at your side. He was silent for a long moment, and for just a second, you wondered if he was actually asleep. But when you turned to look at him, you could see that his eyes were staring up to the numerous stars and he almost looked scared. Hesitantly, you asked, “What is it?”
Loki turned his head to look at you, and when the breeze blew across his face, a few strands of his long black locks fell into across his cheeks, such a stark contrast to his pale skin. He was beautiful, and it took your breath away. “I want to keep all of you,” he said softly, and the breeze almost snatched it away from you, but you grasped onto the words nevertheless, desperate to hear them. You needed to know. You needed him to want you fully.
“All of me?” you asked.
“Every single one of you,” Loki whispered, and you could have sworn that his voice broke. “I never have wanted to use any of you in the way I have. But I cannot do that.” When he saw the beginnings of protest bubbling in your eyes, he shushed you, placing a finger to your lips. Where his skin touched them, a tingling feeling remained, craving more of him. “It’s hard to explain, darling.”
Reluctantly, you nodded.
“I want you to know that this will not mean nothing to me,” Loki continued in a whisper, bringing a hand to caress your cheek. It was surprisingly cool, and in the warmth of the night, you felt yourself leaning into it gently. “And I want to apologize for what happened earlier.”
Your cheeks warmed again in the memory of the wine incident at Thor’s feast and revel. You didn’t want to think about it. “Then do what you promised,” you told him, surprising yourself with your assertiveness. Loki, fortunately, did not seem to mind, instead smirking and shifting himself so that he was on top of you. He leaned down to whisper in your ear as he had done before. “Are you hungry?” he asked.
“Ravenous,” you replied, voice almost a moan. You remembered the chocolate-covered strawberry that Estrid had shown you, and felt a sudden craving for it now.
Loki smiled as he remembered his little trick, and climbed off of you to summon his illusionary food. It came to you all at once, hovering in the air around you so that you could choose.
It was lovely, then. Loki fed you each strawberry one by one, and you moaned as each tiny fruit disappeared into your mouth. Estrid had been right; they were divine indeed.
“You have such a pretty mouth,” Loki murmured as you ate the final strawberry. He leaned forward and brushed the pad of his thumb over your lip, gathering a stray chocolate stain and sucking it off his finger...slowly, seductively. You swallowed. You wanted those fingers in your mouth, or even better, in your pussy.
“Not so fast, my dear,” Loki said then, as if he had sensed your thoughts. You flushed, and as he licked the last bit of chocolate from his finger, he pressed his lips to yours. Sighing against him, you allowed your mouth to open for his tongue, and with a small bit of amusement, you realized that you could still taste the chocolate in his mouth.
“You taste heavenly,” Loki mumbled into your mouth, and that made you groan, hands fisting in his long hair. You had never truly kissed someone this way before, and it was even better than you had imagined.
“Are you ready to move to the bed?” Loki asked after a moment, his voice gentle. Slowly, you nodded.
“Inside or outside?” he asked.
You thought for a moment. “Outside, right here on this chaise,” you told him, gesturing to the bed-like sofa that you had been lying on. “Please.”
Loki’s lips turned upward and he scooped you into his arms, carrying you over to the chaise in a few steps and laying you down with the utmost gentleness. He then stood over you, eyes lingering on all your generous parts: the swell of each of your lovely breasts and the soft, pillowy plane that was your stomach. Even the way that the curve of your ass was on full display, as you lay slightly on your side. Seeing his eyes lingering there, you stuck out your ass even further, lip jutting into a pout.
At that, Loki’s eyes filled black with lust, and he had to try hard not to fuck you right there, the little virginous whore that you were for him. Taking a deep breath, he latched a finger around the hem of your black lacy panties and ran the tip of it along the inside. You moaned at his proximity, and Loki felt his cock twitch in recognition of the sound. “Like that, young one?” he asked, voice low.
Quickly, you nodded. You did need him, just as he needed you.
Smirking mischievously, Loki shucked off his layers of gold-and-green armor, leaving it in a pile at his feet. Now he was only in a dark sweater-like material and tight leggings that left nothing to the imagination. You could see the tent his cock had formed in his pants, and you sucked in a breath at the sight of it. This was real. This was actually real.
“Lay back, sweetheart,” Loki whispered as he kissed your forehead again. “Relax, now.” His lips slowly moved to yours, and you moaned into the passionate kiss he gave you. It was a hungry kiss, a kiss that begged for more, and you wanted it all. His hands swept along your back, and even through the green robe you wore, you could feel the coolness there. It was almost unnatural, that chill, but you didn’t mind; it only made the God of Mischief all the more enticing.
Slowly, ever so slowly, Loki edged the strap of lace that held up your bralette off of your shoulder, and you let him kiss your clavicle there. His lips were soft on your skin, and you shivered. “Loki…”
“Yes, darling?”
You really didn’t know what to say. You just wanted...more. Faster. There was a fire building in the pit of your belly and you wanted to toss it a log, but Loki was insistent on layering the kindling. When you didn’t respond, he smiled at you, eyes narrowed with knowing, and whispered your name softly. “Patience, patience…”
You nodded reluctantly, and your eyes fluttered shut as his lips slowly moved across your collarbones and his hands pulled the green robe from your shoulders and arms. All of it was so light; you had not expected this at all. Loki was a prince and a god, and you had expected someone like him to be more...out of control? No, that was not it. But certainly not as gentle as he was currently holding you.
A minute later, your bralette was removed from your chest, and your breasts shone on full display for him in the moonlight. “ Beautiful,” Loki whispered, and you blushed. Loki raised an eyebrow. “You will have to get used to that particular word, my dear.”
Then his lips were back on your body, more insistent this time as he sucked at the skin around each of your breasts. You moaned as his tongue slowly encircled your areola and flicked at your nipple. As he did so, he gave your other breast a squeeze and you yelped.
“Too much?” Loki asked, but you shook your head fervently. “Keep going,” you whispered, pushing your body to him. “Please, Loki.”
“As you wish, darling,” he murmured in reply, returning to his task. You could feel yourself trembling with want, with need, as he stimulated your hardened nipples. And then— oh.
His hand had moved to that sensitive spot between your legs, and through the thin fabric of your panties, you could feel acutely every movement that he made. “Loki,” you moaned, causing him to grin amidst the ministrations of his delightful tongue. He pulled away from your breast and stared up at you, at the building ecstasy in your eyes. “You are already so wet, little one.” Smirking, he held up his hand. Sure enough, it was coated with the juices of your pussy, and that only made you moan further. “Loki, please—”
Loki gave a few scolding clicks of his tongue, but otherwise seemed unphased, his hand reaching into your underwear and fingers pressing to your clit. You gasped as they began to work in little circles, bucking into his hand. “Loki!” you shouted, clutching at his shoulders for stability. It wasn’t that you were new to the feeling, for you had pleased yourself in this way on many occasions, but when someone else was doing it—the fucking God of Mischief, Prince of Asgard —it was a wholly different experience.
“So wet for me,” Loki mumbled into your tit, pulling at your hard nipple with his teeth. You whined at the heady feeling of it, for combined with the finger that was now slipping into your cunt, this was nearly Valhalla itself.
“Please,” you moaned, not even sure what you were crying out for. “Please, Loki, ahh—”
But he suddenly stopped, hanging you over the precipice of something, something lovely and powerful and why had he stopped?
“Loki!” you screamed, nails raking through his black hair, but he only snickered at your frustration. “The best is yet to come, my dear.”
Then his hand was skimming your ass, touching your skin through the thin lace. You ground yourself into it, but Loki only laughed further. He suddenly yanked the scrap of fabric from you in one quick movement, and for the first time, you began to see the hunger truly rise within him, deep and powerful and full of passion.
You were interrupted from your thoughts by a wave of feeling that washed over you in an instant: Loki had just dragged his tongue down your torso and had his mouth clamped over the tightly wound bud of your sex, kissing it furiously. Your eyes rolled back; you were caught in his touch, his mouth, his tongue. Furiously you scratched your hands into his shirt, pulling the fabric upwards. “Loki!” you cried, panting. “Oh, Loki, please—”
But he pulled away again, and you let out a whine. The smirk unfolding across Loki’s face was unbearable, made even more arousing by the fact that his mouth was coated in your wetness.
He slowly stood, eyes staying on yours the entire time. His cock was undeniably hard now, and from the wetness that could be seen soaking through his leggings, you could tell that he’d been stroking himself as he administered to your needs. Narrowing his eyes and lifting his chin at you, Loki pulled off his shirt, revealing a slightly-toned abdomen, and stepped out of his pants, his cock springing free, long, pulsing, and tinged with an odd sort of color. Blue? Your mouth watered at the sight of it, but Loki had other plans for you tonight.
“This is going to hurt,” he told you, petting your hair gently, “but I promise to be gentle.”
Taking in a deep breath, you nodded. “I’m ready,” you told him firmly.
With a twinkle in his eye, Loki delivered a quick kiss to your lips, and you could taste yourself on him, but it didn’t last long, for he was then pulling away again, lining his dick up to your cunt. Slowly he pushed into you, groaning, and you were struck by how much more painful it was than you had imagined. “Fuck,” you cursed, clutching Loki’s arms.
He kissed you gently, pulling at your lip just a little as he sunk in deeper, then pausing to allow you to adjust to the foreign feeling. “Shall I continue?”
“Please,” you said, your voice coming out as little more than a squeak, and Loki lowered himself further, stopping when he reached his base. He sighed as he lay on top of you, hand coming to your face to wipe away the few tears that had sprung to your eyes. “It’s alright, darling. You just let me know when you are ready to move forward.”
You nodded, sniffing, and Loki pressed his lips to your ear. You shivered; you were starting to love the way he did that. “You are so tight, young one,” he hissed, sending a spark of arousal down to your core. “So fucking tight for me. New and untouched and—” He broke off into a grunt as you clenched around his hard length, both a painful and delightful experience. You were a little more used to the feeling now, and the pressure was beginning to build within you again.
Seeing the sensation manifesting on your face, Loki grinned. “May I move?” he asked, ever so quietly, voice like a song.
You nodded, lips curling into a smile despite yourself.
Carefully, Loki began to shift his weight upwards again, hands pressing against yours into the chaise below your back. It was an odd sensation to feel him pulling out again, but when he pushed back inside of you, it was better than anything in the world. It still hurt, of course, but along with that was pleasure, too, especially as Loki let one of your hands go to finger at your clit.
You moaned, beginning to match his rhythm. “Not too fast,” you warned him as he sped up slightly, and Loki nodded, gaze never leaving yours. You could tell it was hard for him not to let himself go, and in an odd sort of way, you were proud of him for his discipline. But then again, he’d had much practice.
Closer and closer the both of you came, until you were begging and writhing below him, staring into his enticing blue-green eyes that shone like the sea. “Loki, oh, Loki —my prince!” you cried, fingers tangling in his hair. “Please, I’m so close—help me—don’t stop—”
“Come,” he said simply, and you did, coming undone in the slow fucking of his cock and the vibrations of his fingers. White blanked out your vision and you squeezed your eyes shut, lost in the beauty of the moment.
Loki came a few seconds later, screaming your name as he spilled into you, hot liquid filling your cunt. You groaned at the feeling, and Loki fell on top of you, panting heavily.
“Thank you,” you whispered to him, pressing a kiss to the hollowness below his cheekbone. “Thank you so much.”
“Anything,” he murmured in reply, capturing your lips in his again. “ You are divine, my dear. I—thank you,” he said, and though you had no idea what he meant, you sighed into him, humming as his hands caressed your face.
Next to him, you slowly fell asleep, for he was a cooling presence against the warm night, and the breeze sweeping across your bare skin seemed to come from Valhalla itself. Although you supposed that you were in Valhalla right now, and he was your loving god. Your God of Mischief.
Loki’s eyes fluttered shut, his lean arms wrapping around you tightly. “Sleep well, darling,” he whispered, and that night, right then, you did.

Word Count: 5,8K

During the events of Infinity War, Thanos makes you battle Loki in order to obtain the Tesseract
Author’s Note: I know Thanos doesn’t have the mind stone at the beginning of Infinity War but it’s fiction and I’m gonna do what Marvel does best, ignore canon. Let’s blame the Other’s powers, okay? Please enjoy this angsty little thing! :)
Tumblr media
YOUR POV
“There’s room for more!” Loki yelled over the cries of scared children and their crying families. There was no way he would send a half-empty escape pod on its way to Midgard. That’s when he saw a child all by herself a little further away. She was clinging onto the wall for dear life and the ship trembled due to the impact of getting shot at. Her parents were nowhere to be seen. Dead. Loki felt sick to his stomach when he knew they were most likely dead. Thanos’ children were slaying kids and their parents heartlessly and they had the audacity to say they were being rescued. That their deaths were part of something bigger than life itself.
They viewed Thanos as a god who was being merciful even when he ripped a beating heart out of someone's chest.
Loki’s heart clenched in his chest painfully. Before it would be too late, he made his way to the tiny child and picked her up carefully. She seemed to recognize the prince but she wasn’t afraid of him. Instead, she hugged Loki so she wouldn’t fall out of his grasp.
“Where’s mommy?” The girl sounded absolutely petrified.
Loki didn’t know what to say as he made his way to the pod. Once he reached it, he saw a woman by the entrance.
“You’ll be safe here,” Loki promised the child as he handed her over to the lady. That’s all he had time for as he returned to the corridor. A particularly loud blast made him stumble over his feet and he had to catch his balance by taking support from the metal wall. The lights flickered, which meant the electronics of the ship were injured. There was a strange smokey smell in the air, which lingered with the irony stench of blood.
Loki couldn’t believe this was happening. Had Thanos finally come for him? Or did Thanos somehow know of the tesseract? Either way, if Thanos succeeded, he would kill two birds with one stone. The thought of this being all his fault made Loki nauseous. Guilt was nibbling at his skin and he knew it would eat him alive in the end. He never wished for this to happen!
As he ran down the corridors frantically searching for Asgardians that needed help, he heard different kinds of cries. People were letting out guttural screams. Others were pleading for their lives. Listening to the massacre that was taking place was worse than any nightmare Loki ever recalled having. They were all drained after Ragnarok and now Thanos had found them. It was haunting how ruthless fate could be.
Footsteps began to approach Loki and they were awfully close. Too close for his liking. He was quick to grab his daggers and turn to face whoever dared try to sneak up on him. When he saw a familiar figure, he nearly dropped the blades from his hands. Seeing you there was like shock itself punched him in the face.
You were there, real and clear as day.
How long had it been since the last time he saw you?
Ever since Loki had found out about his true nature, his life had gone downhill. After he ended up with Thanos and went through pure hell with him, he had changed. During his time away from Asgard, he had only missed one person truly - you. You, who had been by his side through everything. You, who hadn’t loved him any less when you saw his deep blue skin and those crimson red eyes that in Loki’s mind resembled blood. You, who had seen him as the rightful king of Asgard when everyone else betrayed him. The light of his life, the angel that had cared for him even when he felt like a monster.
You, who hadn’t been on Asgard when Thor brought him back to face Odin in trial. Loki had spent a lot of time in his cell, alone. He waited for you to appear but you never did and no one ever told him why. They rather left him to drown in his own vicious thoughts. It wasn’t until Loki pretended to be Odin that he began to learn what had happened on Asgard during his exile.
The people at the palace loved to gossip. Some claimed you had stolen a ship and left Asgard behind for good, that living as Loki’s widow had been too hard for you. In Loki’s darkest hours, he wondered if you truly felt ashamed for being associated with him. So ashamed in fact, that you had left it all behind and started anew. Sometimes, he believed that, but it never stopped him from trying to find you. He had searched night and day but it seemed like you had vanished into thin air. It had killed him more every day living in the unknown. His only wish had been that you were okay.
Now there you were, looking like you had never left. In a moment of pure shock, Loki couldn’t even begin to comprehend how you appeared on the ship - seemingly out of nowhere. He was happy to see you, despite how appalling everything else was at that moment.
“Y/N,” Loki spoke your name softly and dared to blink. When you were still there as he opened his eyes, he felt goosebumps all over his skin.
You looked at him so innocently, but then he noticed that something was off. The look in your eyes was cold. You weren’t in your typical Asgardian gear. Instead, you were dressed in dark armour that Loki could’ve sworn he had seen before, but he didn’t know where. Nevertheless, it made him feel uneasy.
“It’s been a while, Loki,” You attempted a smile as you walked closer to him, your husband. It still counted since he had never truly died, right?
Loki didn’t stop you as you walked right up to him. His eyes never left yours. Part of him wanted to kiss you, to hold you and feel you were real, but the shrieks in the background reminded him of how dangerous everything was. The daggers disappeared from his hands and Loki held you by your shoulders. He needed to see that his hands wouldn't go right through you, that he hadn't lost it.
“You need to get off this ship, Y/N!” He told you seriously. There was profound fear in his voice.
Instead of being worried at all, you just smiled back at him.
That was so unlike you.
“Y/N, do you hear me?”
“Oh, I do,” You confirmed nonchalantly, “I’m not going anywhere. Not yet.”
A bloodcurdling cry startled Loki. They were coming closer and closer. The two of you wouldn’t be safe in that passageway for long. By now, his heart was racing with his thoughts. He felt panic settling into his bones.
Before Loki could say another word, you cupped his face rather gently. The fact that you didn’t seem disturbed by what was happening was eerie to Loki. He knew that you had a heart much bigger than anyone else he knew of. The version of you he remembered wouldn’t have been so calm. Something was terribly wrong.
“I need something,” You admitted and batted your eyelashes. Before, Loki would’ve found that quite adorable, but at that moment it was so wrong. He had been so ecstatic to see you and know you were alive, but now he almost wanted to run the other way.
“What?” Loki barely found his voice at that point. He felt sick and heartbroken. This had to be a nightmare, the worst kind.
“The Tesseract, Loki. I really need it,” You blurted it out.
Shivers ran down his spine. How did you know about it? Why did you even care? He was unsure if he could even trust you with the knowledge that he had it in his possession. Usually, he would’ve trusted you with his life without any hesitation, but you had been gone for years and returned like this, with bizarre motives.
You returned at the same time as Thanos and you were looking for the tesseract. Loki wasn’t a fool. He finally put two and two together and the realization was too arduous to believe. The idea of you and Thanos even meeting was something Loki could only see happening in his worst nightmares, but he was afraid it had already occurred. If so, he needed to hear it from you,
“Is Thanos making you do this?”
The tone of his voice seemed to offend you as you sent him a nasty glare. Your softness turned harsh and you pushed Loki against the metal wall with a loud thud. Before he could get out of the way, you grabbed your own dagger and pressed it against his neck so it was ever so slightly pressing against his exposed skin.
“He is not making me do anything. I am glad to serve the all-mighty Thanos. I won’t fail him, unlike you,” You snarled at Loki spitefully.
Never in a million years had Loki imagined this moment to happen. One where you would be fighting against each other. It was supposed to the two of you against the nine realms. Being held like that by the one person he loved more than anything was tearing his heart to shreds, but he tried not to show it.
Deep down, he knew it wasn’t truly you. He knew exactly what Thanos had done to you so you would act like this, and it only made it hurt so much more. It felt like someone was pouring salt into an open wound, and his entire body, heart and soul were wounded.
“Now give me the tesseract and we will be on our merry way,” You tried to obtain it again. This time you seemed more serious. Was it the tone of your voice or your weapon pressed against his pulse? Loki didn’t know.
“I don’t have it,” Loki lied as smoothly as he could because even thinking straight at that moment felt impossible. The world was caving in around him at supersonic speed.
You pressed the sharp edge of the blade closer to him, feeling how just a little bit more pressure would've broken his skin “You’re a great liar, my dear, but I know that’s not the truth.”
Loki didn’t want to fight you, but he didn’t see another way out. And it was good for him that you had learned most of the tricks from him. Your every move would be more easily predictable for Loki. He had to find a way to distract you.
“Why do you need it?” That was a foolish question. He knew damn well what Thanos would do if he got his dirty hands on the infinity stones.
“Why do you care?” You didn’t answer his silly question.
Suddenly, Loki grabbed your wrist tightly and yanked your arm to the side. He tried to be as gentle as he could, but Loki knew you wouldn’t go down without a fight.
At least your weapon fell out of your hand, but you knew how to defend yourself without it. So did Loki.
Loki tried to turn things around so he would have you pinned down against the wall, but you didn’t let him get that far. As he turned you around so your back was pressed firmly against his chest, you kicked your legs against the wall hard, pushing both of you back. Loki took the biggest impact as he fell on the floor, with you on top of him. Quickly, you rolled out of his grasp, turning around in one swift movement so that you were now sat on top of him, with your legs tightly against both his sides.
A powerful orb of magic grew above your fingertips and you brought it closer to Loki’s face - so close that he could feel the heat of your burning powers. The magic created an electric sensation on your skin. It felt like you pushed your fingers deep into warm sand. Toying with it was exhilarating, and seeing the astonished look on Loki’s face made it so much better. The green light of your powers cast light in his eyes, only deepening the look of disbelief that was painted all over him.
“It’s sweet that you’re trying not to hurt me,” You taunted him at that point, “but that doesn’t mean I won’t hurt you.”
“This isn’t you, Y/N,” Loki groaned. He was so sure of himself.
You tilted your head and smirked, looking at him like a cat would at a mouse. “I don’t know, Loki. It’s been a while,” You explained casually and leaned closer and closer to his face, stopping when your noses brushed against one another. By now, Loki was frozen on the spot. He was trying to come up with a plan and he felt hopeless.
“I’ve changed,” You whispered to him and felt tempted to kiss him, to taste him. Would you taste his fear? His heartbreak? You were sure it would taste sweet.
“The torture must’ve been painful,” Loki pushed his feelings aside. Yes, he felt like his heart had been ripped to shreds, but he had to do something. He had to surprise you, even if it would hurt. Words could hurt more than actions, and if Loki wanted to survive and to help you, he needed to reach the real you even if the only way to do so was cruel.
How did he know? You narrowed your eyes and surprisingly, found yourself waiting for him to continue.
"I was trained well."
"Trained?" Loki spat out harshly, "I know you're afraid. He has promised you something worse than the pain he has inflicted on you already. It won't happen. If you let Thanos continue his reign, he will not care about your loyalty!"
"Shut up!" That was too much for you. With tears brimming your eyes from anger, you put your hand over his mouth to silence him. He didn't budge and you didn't know why.
You pushed the memories aside. The painful memories of the time Thanos first found you. It was wrong to think of it as torture. No, he had shown you what you're truly capable of. It was training. Training to become a stronger person after the hell you endured on Asgard.
But now that you found yourself thinking about it, it seemed like the memories were all blurred as if you were looking into the past through a broken lens. Someone had spilt oil all over it and the pictures were warped.
"I know you have it," You needed the tesseract. "Give it to me and then this will all be over," you removed your hand from his mouth because it looked like he wanted to speak.
Loki knew that if he’d push you, your magic could burn him, but at the moment he couldn’t come up with another plan. He couldn’t just stay on the ground as people were being killed on the other side of the wall!
"Okay," Loki blurted out. Okay?
For a moment, he had you surprised which was the perfect distraction.
Loki grabbed your wrists tightly and pushed you to the side, but not quickly enough. You released your magic and it graced the side of his face, making him growl out either in pain or frustration - or both. The two of you rolled over and this time Loki was on top, holding your arms pinned above your head. You were trapped because of one mistake. You couldn't believe Loki had used the element of surprise to turn the situation upside down.
Furiously, you tried to kick your legs free, but he had you pinned down beneath him and Loki was strong. There was no point in squirming, you had to come up with another idea.
The two of you faced each other and Loki revealed his face and the damage you had done. Your magic had burned his skin and left a bloody cut on his eyebrow. It had just barely missed his eye. If he lived, it would surely leave a scar.
You flinched when a drop of his blood hit your cheek and it rolled down the side of your face.
"What are you going to do, kill me?"
Loki could never bring himself to kill you. He wouldn't be able to live with himself with your blood on his hands. No. He had other ideas. Loki remembered what it was like to be under Thanos' control. He remembered how much it hurt to even think about the torture. He had to remind you, he had to make you see that this wasn't the real you.
"This version of you, or I certainly hope so," Loki replied mysteriously. Before you could ask him to elaborate, Loki released your wrist and slammed the palm of his hand against your forehead. In a split second, you were in a different place - in your head. You could've sworn you heard him mutter "I'm sorry," before everything turned black.
It was hot, burning hot. Metal chains were attached to you and they were glowing red. Torching. You could only scream in pain as the metal sunk into your skin, your bones, your nerves. It felt like he had chained your mind and with the tiniest movement of his finger, he could make you do his dirty work.
He, Thanos, was sitting on his throne. He was the puppet master and you the puppet. He didn't look at you fondly. No. He was smiling as he watched you cry your lungs out, letting out animalistic growls as the pain got worse. It was so overwhelming that every once in a while, you would scream until you passed out. But every time, one of his children would be there to wake you up.
It was time for another round. And another. And yet another. Would it ever end?
Each time you tried to resist the chains, the strings that were sewn onto you and connected to his fingertips, it hurt more. Eventually, you learned that allowing the strings to tighten around you made it hurt less. It almost felt good, like a long embrace after a long day.
"I don't want to hurt you, my child."
Lies. You knew that all he said were nasty lies, but sometimes it was easier to believe lies than the truth.
"Make it stop!" You would beg him. How long had you been there?
You could remember Thanos touching your face gently, which was so comforting after everything you had endured. At the same time, it made you sick. You couldn't believe that the one who had caused you distress could have such a gentle touch.
"You're ready," Thanos had realized. The Other had appeared right before you and his fingertips were pressed against one another, making him look like he was deep in thought. You had no idea what they were doing, but the next thing you knew was that you no longer felt pain.
The chains, the strings, they were all invisible. It looked like you were free, but the weight of the metal was still pressed against your skin. Had you imagined it?
No,
Deep down you knew that the strings were still attached to you, but they had only made it seem like you had a choice.
"Excellent," The Other's voice surprised you. You merely blinked and you had returned to the vessel. Loki was above you and the Other was standing right there, "You found him."
The Other used his powers to push Loki off you. Shock had made your entire body numb and you couldn't scramble up to your feet. It felt like your limbs had been turned to stone and you were anchored to the floor.
Loki got up slowly with his arms raised in surrender. He was well aware of the powers the Other had and Loki wasn't going to fight him now. If he followed you for long enough, then maybe just maybe he could come up with a plan. Loki looked at you as you finally got up. As you stood next to the Other, you couldn't believe your legs carried you. Something was so wrong. You felt sick and you couldn't shake it off. It felt like something had snapped within you, but you didn't know what.
"He is waiting for you," The Other explained as he turned to walk away, most likely to wherever Thanos was waiting.
Loki had no choice but to follow, and you walked behind, making sure he didn't try to escape.
Why did Loki make you remember that? What did he think he would obtain with making you relive something so awful? It hadn't worked, right?
There he was. Thanos was standing by a hole that had been ripped into the side of the ship. Magic was keeping it sealed so the vacuum of space wouldn't suck everyone into it. But still, the emptiness of space wasn't frightening at all compared to the titan who was standing right there.
Loki swallowed thickly as he saw him again. It had been years but he remembered everything like it had happened yesterday. Seeing Thanos standing in the middle of the piles of bodies, in the room that smelled like smoke and blood, was sickening. Thanos hadn't just killed a part of Loki. He had just slaughtered these innocent Asgardians with the help of his so-called children. He had taken you.
He will make you long for something as sweet as pain
Loki closed his eyes and took a deep, shaky breath. They had stayed true to their threats.
"I know what it’s like to lose," Thanos turned around now that he knew Loki was there. At long last. Thanos had not forgotten what Loki had failed to do, and Thanos was a man of his words.
"To feel so desperately that you’re right yet to fail, nonetheless," Thanos continued dramatically and slowly made his way closer to Loki. He saw Thor on the ground, bloodied and weak. The brother of Loki. As tempting as the idea was to torture Thor right in front of the god of mischief, Thanos had different plans. If there was only one way Loki would ever give him the tesseract, it was going to be in order to save you. You were Loki's true weakness.
"It’s frightening. Turns the legs to jelly. I ask you, to what end?" Thanos looked Loki right in the eye. He could see that Loki was afraid, yet Loki never looked away from him. He was either too proud or fearless. Thanos had liked that about Loki initially. But he had failed Thanos greatly. It had cost him infinity stones.
"Dread it. Run from it. Destiny arrives all the same. And now, it’s here. Or should I say I am," Thanos finished his dramatics because it was time for action, to turn the wheels and see the bigger picture. This was the end of an era and a new beginning for a different universe. In Thanos' mind, only he could bring balance and order. He gestured for you to walk up to his side.
Too afraid of the idea of what would happen if you disobeyed, you walked right up to Thanos, feeling like a fly that was willingly flying into cobwebs. When you were close enough, you kneeled and dipped your head so he wouldn't see the worry in your eyes. It wasn't there before.
"I didn't obtain the tesseract from him, but I am sure that he has it, father," You muttered quietly. Why did you say that? There was a pounding headache growing within your skull. You didn't know what was right or wrong anymore and you couldn't fight it either.
Father
Loki clenched his jaw as he followed the situation closely. Hearing that made his blood boil. He wanted to rip Thanos apart after this. Never in a million years had he imagined this, to see you pledge your alliance to Thanos, kneeling before him and respecting him. Thanos didn't deserve that. Hell, Thanos didn't even deserve to look at you. It was wrong.
At that moment, Loki worried that his trick hadn't worked. That the memories hadn't awakened anything within you. That it was all too late now. This was the end, the one thing in life that was inevitable.
"I know, my child," Thanos let out a sigh. Then he grabbed you by your jaw like he had done before, forcing you to face him. "I know he has it," He repeated and suddenly his touch turned violent. He closed his hand around your neck tightly and you gasped for air helplessly. Your hands - tiny compared to his - grabbed his fingers and you tried to pry them apart, but he was tougher than you. Panic shot through your entire body when you realized you couldn't breathe. It turned your blood to ice and your poor heart was beating so hard you were afraid it would explode.
What was he doing?
The moment he pulled you to your feet, so high that you had to stand on the tips of your toes, he spoke, "The tesseract or her life," Thanos smiled devilishly, showing no remorse. He didn't care about you. You were a pawn in his game and if you would die at his feet, he would just walk over you and carry on.
"You choose," Thanos put the weight of the world on Loki's shoulders.
Loki wanted to rescue you from that monster, but he wasn't stupid. With all of Thanos' children surrounding him, he knew that he would be dead before he could reach you. Nonetheless, it didn't mean he wouldn't try. Seeing you clawing at Thanos' hand, fighting for something as simple as air and not getting it was heartbreaking. Loki's body was trembling with hatred and hurt. Tears blurred his vision and he struggled to keep his composure.
How had it all come to this?
The thought of Thanos with the tesseract was haunting. Soon he would have all the stones and he would destroy reality as they knew it. But Loki could live with that. He couldn't live knowing you had died when he had a chance to save you. Perhaps he was selfish for choosing you over the entire galaxy, but Loki didn't care. Nothing mattered if he would lose you again.
"Alright, stop!" Loki made up his mind. "I choose her," Finally, Thanos released his grip on you and let you fall on the cold ground. Your hands wrapped around your throat gently and you coughed painfully. It took you a while to finally breathe again, which was a huge relief for both Loki and you.
And now Loki was holding the tesseract. It was so bright that it painted the space blue. It was almost too bright to look at. The power within the stone was so strong, you could sense it like heat from the sun in spring after a long and cold winter. Loki was tempted to use the tesseract to grab you and escape, but he quickly shut those thoughts away. Thanos would follow him for the end of all days.
"You...you really are the worst, brother," Thor was following the situation to the best of his abilities. He spat out blood as he watched Loki holding the cube. It made him sad. Everything they ever knew was destroyed in the name of power, pure and raw power that the tesseract could offer. Was it worth it?
Loki glanced at Thor who was too weak to even get up. He didn't care too much about what he had to say. Then he looked at you. There you were, on the ground struggling to breathe after Thanos had crushed your windpipe. There was bruising on your skin that would only deepen with time. Time that you possibly wouldn't have after this.
He saw the tears running down your face, but you didn't sob and whimper. It seemed like you were as still as stone. You couldn't bring yourself to face Loki.
"I assure you," Loki found his voice and he addressed both you and Thor with his words, "the sun will shine on us again."
What did he mean by that?
You were ashamed to tilt your gaze to see him, to see the tesseract. The damn infinity stone had ruined it all! It was why Thanos had wrecked Loki, why he had destroyed you too. Why so many people were now dead. If you had one wish that could come true, you would wish for the tesseract to be destroyed forever.
Thanos had his back turned to you. Loki was slowly but surely making his way closer to the titan, almost like he was afraid to move but he forced his body to comply. Why? Why would he trade the tesseract for your life? It seemed like whatever spell you had been under had worn off. You were free, but it was more terrifying than being under Thanos' control under these circumstances. He didn't need you, and soon enough the vessel would be blown to bits. All of you, even Loki.
Would you be able to tell him how sorry you were?
"Your optimism is misplaced, Asgardian," Thanos wasn't fond of Loki's strange choice of words.
"Well for one thing I'm not Asgardian," Loki replied quickly. It sounded a little bit witty, which was confusing. Where did the boost of confidence come from? Was he up to something?
"And for another," He continued dramatically. This time it was Thanos' turn to be confused.
"We have a Hulk."
Everything that happened after that happened so fast that you could hardly keep up with it. Loki dropped the tesseract and he leapt toward you. Thanos barely had time to turn around when a huge, green beast appeared out of nowhere and it seemed angry. It was eager to fight the titan.
Loki had you up on your feet in no time and the two of you ran away from the immediate danger. He led you to one of the many corridors on the vessel until no one could possibly see you. They were too distracted by the Hulk to even think about Loki and you. It wasn't until he was right in front of you that you could comprehend what was going on. He was kneeling on the floor and you were sat against the wall for support. Your hands were trembling so hard, it seemed like you were freezing up and you couldn't make it stop.
Loki had tricked Thanos.
He was relieved when you didn't fight him, yet he was unsure if it meant you were no longer under Thanos' control, or if you were simply too tired to fight.
He cupped your face gently and searched for answers in your expression. Back in the day, he had been able to read you like an open book.
You put your hands around his wrists and pulled him closer. You were desperate for the comfort he could bring in the midst of the living hell you were stuck in. How did he not hate you?
"I'm s- I'm sorry," You whimpered, finally cracking like a plate that had fallen on the floor. "I'm sorry."
"Shh, it's okay," Loki couldn't possibly let you apologize for what had happened. He was possibly the one person who understood exactly what you had gone through and what it was like to follow orders from that monster. There was not an ounce of judgement to be found in his heart.
What mattered now was that you were together again. You could come up with a plan, but you had to work fast. As much as Loki wanted to hold you and comfort you, to feel that you were real, he knew there wasn't enough time for that.
"We need to get off this thing," Loki's mind was running a marathon as he tried to come up with an escape plan.
"They're gonna blow it up," You explained, feeling how bad your lips were quivering as you spoke. The moment Thanos had what he came for, they would leave and destroy everything they'd leave behind.
Shivers ran down Loki's spine as he heard that. It only confirmed that you had to act quickly. Loki wasn't sure how long the Hulk could fight Thanos. Would they be able to rescue Thor? How much time did they have?
The blood in the wound you had caused on his face was beginning to dry. It looked gnarly and all you wanted was to make it all better. Knowing that you had hurt him made you sick with guilt.
"I'm sorry, Loki. I didn't w-want to fight you," You sniffled, breaking Loki's train of thought. For the first time, he felt lost. He didn't really know what to do. Were there any escape pods left?
"I know," Loki assured you. "I know that. I was in your shoes when I was on Midgard," He explained briefly, unaware whether or not you knew of it. Had Thanos talked about him to you?
A sense of impending doom weighed you two down. If this was the end, then at least you were together, right? You and Loki against the nine realms, you would face the end together if there wasn't another way out. Whenever you had pictured your final day, you had imagined something entirely different than this. You would be old together, with hundreds of stories of your shared life. You would be surrounded by people you cared about. It would be calm, the exact opposite of this.
"I love you," You needed to tell him that. Any moment could be your last. The world would cave in and you would be gone forever.
Loki hated how much that sounded like a farewell, but at the same time, it had been so long since he had last heard those three words, let alone from you. Perhaps it was sick and twisted, but it made him smile.
"I love you too," Loki was sure of it. He had never stopped loving you and he didn't think he was even capable of that.
It seemed like you acted on instinct. You found enough strength to push yourself right against Loki. There was no hesitation in your actions as you kissed him. Loki closed his eyes when he felt your trembling lips pressed against his. Your scent, still sweet and familiar despite it all, punched its way into his lungs. He held your face gently but the kiss was passionate, almost despairing.
You wanted to scream out in agony because at last, you were reunited with Loki but not in the way you imagined. You felt like the shell of the person you were before, and now you knew for a fact that Thanos had done the exact same things to Loki. That titan had killed your souls beyond repair. But all you could do was kiss Loki and hold him and hope that he could feel how sorry you were. You didn't want to let go, afraid that if you did, it would all end. Just like that.
Loki broke the kiss, and for a moment you rested your foreheads against one another like you had done so many times before. It was comforting. You both wanted to stay close like that, but you recognised that you couldn't. Letting go of each other and getting up on your weary feet was so incredibly difficult, but it had to be done.
The world around you began to glow brighter. You quickly held onto Loki, startled as the mysterious light surrounded the two of you.
Loki held his breath as he studied the warm glimmering magic that had swallowed you. In between the bright rays of light, he saw all the colours of the rainbow. Shimmering. He saw reds and blues, yellows and greens, shining brighter than the other and it changed smoothly.
The Bifrost
He didn't know how or why, but he knew for a fact that you were in the magical portal. He couldn't see beyond it anymore. He couldn't feel the floor beneath his feet. It was like he was levitating mid-air, with you tightly in his arms.
Heimdall must've conjured the forefathers, letting their powers flow through him one last time. Where to? Loki assumed that anywhere would be better than where they had been mere seconds ago.
And it was a miracle.
Tumblr media
A/N: I think it would've made more sense for Heimdall to send Thor or Loki to earth rather than the Hulk. So that's why I ended it like that
I'd absolutely love to hear your feedback! <3

Who's Tougher part 2
Guardians of the Galaxy fanfic | Reader x Guardians (With Yondu and Kraglin!) Guest starring Thor
Summary: So the Guardians now know you aren't Terran. That makes things awkward, but things only get more awkward when they find out what you are.
Author’s Note: Part 1 here.
Word Count: 3,337
"Any chance we can just forget that happened?" you ask, nervously chuckling as you wring your hands. "I promise I'll fix that-" you stand up and look again at the ruined metal that was once the arm of a chair, "or uh... replace it?" You grin hopefully, though you were sure it came out more like a grimace.
"No! Of course we're not just gonna forget that happened!" Peter cried, his face a mix of startled amazement and incredulity, like he couldn't quite believe what he had just witnessed from his friend. "Are you crazy!? What are you!?"
You shrank back a bit, his words stung a little, whether he intended them to or not. "Ok, I had a feeling that wouldn't fly..." Your gaze dropped to the table. What were you? You were his friend... right?
"Why did you lie?" Gamora asked, not nearly as harshly as Peter, but it hurt more regardless.
You furrow your brows as you look up to her, insulted. "Hey! I didn't lie!"
"You said you was from Terra." Kraglin interjected. "An' you ain't a Terran. Think that counts as lyin'." He sat back in his chair, eyeing you. Yondu still stood next to him, doing the same.
Drax, still sat in his chair but removing his electrode leads, then threw in a, "Friends shouldn't lie," with Groot nodding in agreement as well as Mantis, but you ignored them.
"I was born there- Pretty sure that counts as 'being from' someplace." You suppressed the urge to call him a jerk and crossed your arms in front of you with a hurt expression. "Not my fault you filled in the blanks yourselves."
Yondu spoke up now. "Ya didn't exactly tell us otherwise, either." He doesn't sound angry or as confused or suspicious like the others, his statement was more matter-of-fact. You had been with the team longer than he had, but in the time that he had known you, you had never given an inclining that you were anything other than a normal Terran like Quill- or well, maybe that's a bad example... but now that Ego is dead that probably makes him a normal Terran, right?
You merely responded to him with, "You didn't ask." You had a feeling that likely wouldn't go over well, but you were too busy being offended for being called a liar to give it much thought before it was out of your mouth.
Peter made noises that couldn't be classified as words as he waved his hands around in exasperation. "Wha- You- HOW- Were we really just supposed to ask, 'Hey, do you have any cool or weird powers you haven't told us about? Like glowing eyes or the ability to crush metal with your bare freaking hands?!'"
You don't respond, just stare off into a corner.
"I think you better start talking. Or, ya know, we can always hook you back up to this thing you hated so much until you spill the goods." Rocket said with a chuckle, holding up what you now mentally dubbed as a torture device. You couldn't quite tell if he was trying to lighten the mood or not, but either way it didn't work.
You blush and instinctively wrap your arms protectively around your middle. "You don't have to be mean about it..." you say, not making eye contact with anyone.
"Ok," says Gamora, trying to calm the situation down, holding her hands up in a placating gesture. "I think what Peter means is why didn't you say anything? Why didn't you feel you could trust us?"
That hurt. You didn't want them to think you thought so little of them. You sigh, "It's not like that. I just- I dunno."
"You don't know?" Gamora repeated, an eyebrow raised.
"Look, I'm sorry. Ok? It's not that I didn't trust you, I trust you guys with my life! I do! I- I just couldn't. I don't have a better answer." You did actually, but it was too complicated. You wanted to melt into the floor.
"Hey, I got a question." Kraglin spoke back up when everyone else seemed to be at a loss for words. "'While back, when Thor was here, he told you he thought ya looked familiar, and you got all nervous-like when you told him he was mistaken. Now, at the time I thought you was just crushin' on him mighty hard, but now you've got me thinking maybe you didn't wanna be recognized."
You cringed. You knew what he was referring to. When Thor had briefly been with the Guardians he came up to you, stating he swore he knew you from somewhere. You had replied that you merely had 'one of those faces' and that he was mistaking you for someone else before scurrying off to talk to Gamora.
You had lied.
Kraglin continued. "Cuz now that I think about it, you're kinda like him... Kinda like a-"
You knew what he was about to say, and you hated it. "Please don't-"
He finished the sentence anyway, "-god."
Something seemed to click for the rest of the team and they now stared at you wide-eyed. Little Groot's mouth dropped open, while Mantis covered hers. Peter and Gamora exchanged stunned glances with Drax. Yondu and Rocket each raised an eyebrow while Kraglin just looked at you expectantly for an answer.
You pinched the bridge of your nose. "Please don't call me that."
Peter stared at you. "You're a god?!" All this time... All this freaking time one of his friends had been a god and never told him?? Were you a celestial like Ego? Were you another Asgardian like Thor? He had so many questions, but couldn't verbalize any of them in his shock.
You shoot Kraglin a pained look. "Dammit! You've gone and made it all weird!" You turn back to Peter. "No! I'm not a god!" This seemed to relax the others some, but not much. Yeah, you seemed cool, but why hide you could do what you just did to the chair? What else were you hiding?
"But ya are, aren't ya? Like Thor, I mean." Kraglin pressed.
You scrambled for the right words. "I- No- Well, not exactly..." You hated this. Everything was so simple ten minutes ago, couldn't you just go back to that?
"I'm calling him." Rocket says, pulling out his media pad and beginning to dial.
"Wait! No no no no no!" you exclaim, stepping forward with your hands raised. You realized you shouldn't have done that, it looked suspicious as hell, but you panicked.
Rocket looked up at you, smirking, "Why? Is it because he'll recognize you and confirm you're like him? Or... wait..." He thought for a second. "Are you some kind of fugitive?"
"No!" you say, wincing. "I mean-" You brush a hand over your face. "Ok. I did know him," you admitted, making Kraglin laugh out a "Knew it!" You shoot him a look before returning to Rocket. "I'm not a god- or a fugitive- I would just rather he -uh- didn't remember me." Truthfully, it wasn't Thor you were worried about, it was his brother, and if Thor remembered you there was a chance he'd bring it up to Loki. But, that was another story for another day. Or never. Never was good.
The rest of the team gave you a weird look for a moment. Eventually Gamora asked suspiciously, "Why?" You being vague wasn't exactly helping you right now, but you couldn't help it.
"Just... personal reasons." you reply, hoping it would be enough.
Spoiler: it wasn't.
"Yeah, no, I'm calling him." Rocket said, he had already dialed and it was ringing. If there was one thing Rocket liked, it was uncovering other people's secrets, usually to hold them over there heads, and Thor was clearly a lead to figuring out yours.
Your eyes went wide in panic again and you tried to stop him, but before you could do anything Thor's face appeared in the screen and you muttered an, "Aw, fuck."
"Rabbit! Hi! It's been a bit, what brings you to call me?" Thor said cheerfully. "And everyone else is there, too! Hello!"
Mantis waved cutely at the screen and the others verbalized their greetings. Well, aside from Yondu and Kraglin, who just gave a nod to be polite.
"Hey Thor," Rocket started, "I was hoping you could settle something. You remember our friend here, right?" He turned the screen to you and you quickly changed your expression from exasperated pleading as you mouthed the word "No!" over and over with a wave of your hands into to a forced smile as you waved and awkwardly said "Hi, Thor..."
Rocket grinned, taking glee in watching you squirm. Yes, partially because he was a dick, but also because he was actually offended that you, his pranking buddy, had kept something like this from him. It hurt, and this was how he was choosing to deal with that.
"You know, I thought I did, but I was told it was a misunderstanding... although..." Thor said thoughtfully, squinting his eyes.
Your stomach sank.
Thors face lit up. "Oh yes! I knew I recognized you! You were one of mine and Loki's playmates when Mother and Father would visit old friends on Earth!"
You winced but retained your forced smile, but it immediately fell with what he said next.
"You were the lovely Nephilim girl that Loki would get into so much trouble with!" Thor laughed heartily. "My, it's been a long time. I don't really remember why we didn't keep in touch..."
Your eyes grew wide, you didn't expect him to just blurt out what you were right there and then. Part of you had still been naive enough to think it could have been avoided altogether. However, you didn't have much time to dwell on it before the other shoe dropped. Your stomach jumped into your throat when he asked, "Loki's around here somewhere... Would you like me to fetch him?"
"No!" you say, a little too loudly, before trying to cover, "No, that's fine Thor. I- I don't think that's the best idea!"
Thor didn't hear you, he was already too busy calling for Loki.
The others could see you were real nervous about Thor putting Loki on the call. Yondu and Kraglin exchanged a look that was a mix of suspicion and amusement. It was evident now you had been telling the truth about not being a fugitive, but why were you so nervous? Was this Loki fella an ex-boyfriend or something? And what even was a Nephlilim?
The question on Gamora's mind was why were you avoiding what were apparently your childhood friends if they didn't seem to be angry with you?
Rocket just grinned a shit-eating grin, clearly thinking he was about to see something very funny -- meaning completely embarrassing for you-- happen.
He wouldn't get to see that happen, however, because with a quick, "Goodbye, Thor!" you lunged forward to push the button that would end the call just before Rocket could pull away.
"Hey!" Rocket complained, "You know I can just call him back, right?"
"Later, Rat." Yondu said, looking at you inquisitively. "He said ya were a Nephilim, what's that?" He didn't think you were dangerous from what he'd seen of you before today. You were about as damn goofy as Peter was... but what if that had been a cover this whole time? He did just see you destroy that chair arm without even realizing, like it was nothing. Why else would you have hidden who/what you were from the team? He had to be cautious.
Peter spoke up. "I've heard of those. My grandparents made me go to Sunday school. It's like the baby of an angel and a human... and they're like... super powerful... but- but you're not supposed to be real!" he said, amazement in his eyes. "I thought that was all religious bullcrap! Does this mean that God, like thee God is real??" He was asking out of utter disbelief rather than anything, having never actually believed in any of that stuff, especially after being taken by Yondu when he was a boy.
You cringed so hard. "Peter please. You're being so embarrassing right now!" You covered your face before letting your hands fall again. The rest of the team just kind of stared at each other, not really sure what to do with all this information. "Look, if the dude exists, I've never met him, and that Terran religion stuff made things so awkward for people like me. And you wonder why I didn't tell!"
Now Peter looked a little sorry, and to your surprise he actually apologized. "Look, ok, I'm sorry. You're right, but can you blame us?"
Your shoulders fell and you sighed, breaking your gaze from his. "I get it, I do. And I'm sorry I didn't tell you, but why does it matter what I am? I'm still me. I'm still the same person."
Drax spoke up for the first time in a while, standing up from his chair to stand with you as he patted you on the shoulder. "This small neffle-thing is right. We are family. It shouldn't matter what anyone is."
You awkwardly pat his hand on your shoulder, honestly not expecting the sudden solidarity. "Thanks, buddy."
"I do have a question though." he added, removing his hand.
You dropped your head, muttering, "Dammit."
"Peter said your kind are very powerful, does that mean this whole time you've been holding back on missions?"
The realization of what Drax had asked put strange expressions on half the faces of your team. The kinda look that says, "Hey! You've been holding out on us! What the hell?!" Rocket nearly verbalized this sentiment as such with a, "Hey! He's right! How many jobs could we have just been in and out of with a snap of your fingers?! Rude, is what that is."
"Ok, first off, I can't make anything happen 'with the snap of my fingers,' ok? I just want to make that clear," you scolded. Your cheeks began to grow hot as you continued, "and secondly... um... none."
"None!? Quill just said you were some super powerful being, and you're really gonna tell us that none of your powers could have helped us on any of those missions?" Rocket stood staring at you in disbelief, his hands on his hips in a way that would have been super adorable if you weren't so uncomfortable right now.
"Yeah, I'm not exactly great at... controlling them." you admitted, rubbing your arm.
"You can't control them?" Gamora asked, sounding a bit surprised, and maybe a little sympathetic too.
"No." You admitted again, begrudgingly. You saw they were looking at you like they wanted some sort of explanation, so you sighed before making wildish gestures with your hands at the ruined chair arm, saying sarcastically, "Exhibit A! I broke the damn chair just because the damn trash panda... tickled me too hard with his electrocution-torture- thingy..." your sentence trailed off in a mix of bitterness and embarrassment, your face flushed a decent shade of scarlet as you crossed your arms. "You know, if you ask me this is all his fault. We wouldn't be having this conversation if it weren't for him."
"You can't blame me! It was supposed to hurt! Not my fault you didn't tell us you're some weird-god thing." Rocket then proceeded to mock you. "oH No! NoT AN elEcTRiC SHOCK! IT TiCkLES TOO mUcH! i'm GOnnA bEg ROCkEt FOR MERCY And BreAK A ChAIR BeCAUsE eVEn ThOUgh I'm a GOD i'm StiLL a Big bABy!"
"I hate you," you say flatly, glaring at him before looking up at the ceiling in frustration as you said, "and stop calling me a god, I'm not a god!"
The sound of laughter brought your gaze back to the team. It was Rocket, of course. Yondu and Kraglin were also snickering, mostly due to your pouty expression, but Rocket was definitely the loudest. You frowned. "It's not funny."
"The hell if it ain't," Yondu laughed. Everyone had been so surprised by what you had done to the chair that they actually had forgotten what had made you do it in the first place.
"Aw, don't give us that long face," Kraglin teased, still laughing. "It could've been worse. Getting tickled til ya break a chair is a whole lot less embarrasin' than gettin' tickled til yer pissin' yer pants."
You gave Kraglin a scandalized look as his comment earned snickers from more of the team. He might have been trying to make you feel better, but he had actually only embarrassed you more. The only one not actually laughing was Gamora, and she looked like she was going to tell the others off for you, but she was cut off by Rocket.
"Oh cheer up, or I'll do it again!" Rocket laughed, giving you a mischievous look. "That'll teach you to blame me! If you and Quill hadn't been bickering all the time I wouldn't have made this thing to shut you up!"
You glared at him. "Threaten me with that again and I'm taking it," you warned.
To your surprise, Yondu took that moment and actually snatched the device from Rocket himself. This surprised Rocket too, and he looked up at Yondu with a dejected, "Hey!"
"Sorry there, Rat, but we don't need anymore broken chairs." He chuckled and slipped you a wink as he slipped the device into one of the inside pockets of his duster. He might have been making a joke at your expense as he did it, but you were grateful for the gesture nonetheless. You didn't need Rocket threatening you with it every time he wanted something from you- and you know he would have. As did Yondu, hence why he snatched it. You may have been a goofy little shit like Peter, and you may have hidden powers (and don't get him wrong, he was still going to keep an eye on you), but he still liked ya well enough to save you from a sadistic raccoon, for now.
Rocket pouted, muttering something about "Never let me have any fun!" as he collected Groot and sulked off.
You smiled at Yondu in return, glad the mood had been somewhat lifted, even if it was at your own expense. After a beat you look back to Peter. "Are we good?" you asked, with so much more meaning behind those three words than just asking if you two were good. Peter could see that you were desperately asking not only for forgiveness, but acceptance. There was thinly veiled fear and nervousness in your eyes that he might cast you out for keeping this secret from the team, from him. It made him feel a little guilty.
He looked at you softly. "Yeah. I mean, I still have a lot of questions, but yeah, we're good."
"I guess that's fair," you say, a relieved grin cracking your face. "But another day, ok? It's late and I'm tired." With that you excused yourself for bed, barely waiting for an acknowledgment of what you said before you were walking away, eager to just get away from this conversation for now. You did smirk a little, however, when you heard Drax ask Peter if you being a "Neffleling" meant you were the tougher one, only for Peter to sigh irritably and say, "No, Drax," and Kraglin to laugh in response and say to Peter, "Nah, I think it does," just to rile him up.
Once you were gone Kraglin spoke again, wondering out loud what had happened with Loki that made you so nervous when Rocket called Thor.
This made Peter look back and share a look with the rest of the team. Kraglin was right. You were nervous enough to hang up the phone when Thor called for Loki to join the conversation. Nervous enough to wish Thor didn't remember your face.
What had happened?

rating: general
word count: 3913
warning: canon character death
summary: Prior to Loki's arrest, Thor attempts to save them and is arrested by the TVA himself. And sure, he doesn't understand much of this institution, but he's pretty sure this Mobius has taken a liking to his younger sibling. (pre-canon, thor pov)
(still obsessing over loki, who’s surprised? no one! half of this fic was written at 2am when i was Not sober, my beloved Cat / @howgodforgives read it for me tho because they’re perfect!! 💖 this is an au... supposed to happen pre-canon... inspired by this post and this post, i love them too much and simply mashed the 2 concepts together so ya. enjoy ??)
read on ao3
Thor thought he could just do one thing. And when Steve revealed his plan about utilizing their time traveling device, just one last time, the offer his friend came with for him to go back was something he had to.
He had a chance to save Loki.
Now, he knows this is far from thought out, far from logical, and Thor never told Steve when he himself was traveling to. They trusted each other, Avengers and all.
Thor knows he could save their mother, too, if he wanted, but perhaps grief was clouding his vision because he’s simply lost too many, and he’ll be damned if he’d let Loki slip away from him after everything they’ve been through.
They were making progress… weren’t they?
It surely couldn’t be another one of his tricks, and although Thor has been naive in the past, he simply can’t lose her. Not now. Not yet.
And so he goes back for them, and he gets there, he’s on the ship, Heimdall and Loki and Valkyrie and Korg and  Thanos  , and Thor’s never been prone to irrational anger, he  tries , but everything happening all over again in such an overwhelming way nearly has sparks jumping from eyes and fingertips.
Thor is so close. And then he isn’t.
He can’t comprehend what happens, but he’s out of time, out of place, and he’s in what resembles most those office buildings he’s seen so many of Midgard. Being crammed in an elevator with these strange people gave him eerie flashbacks to Sakaar, until he’s finally greeted by a significantly short human, brown suit, silver hair and moustache and a lop-sided grin.
Naturally, Thor smiles back in the midst of his confusion, it’s only good manners, you hear.
“Ah!” the man exclaims, patting his elbow with the other hand guiding him forward, “The god of thunder himself! Mighty pleasure to make your acquaintance.”
He nods, following, unsure still what’s going on. But Thor’s made too many enemies of a human lifetime, a long time ago, and he wouldn’t want to get on these humans’ bad side, even though they technically kidnapped him… peculiar.
If Loki was here, they’d probably have their knife ready at lightning speed. Classic Loki.
“Well, thank you! I wish I could say the same, but I’m not sure… where I am,” Thor answers. This really does look like an office, one the Midgardians had a decade or so, probably, before they updated themselves. Modernization, that’s what it’s called, silly humans.
“Fair is fair,” the grey haired human turns to him, “Welcome to the Time Variance Authority, TVA for short! I think I speak for everyone here when I say we’re excited to have you here.”
The man chuckles, and Thor doesn’t know if it’s to himself or directed towards him, until the human shrugs. There’s still two of those persons with weaponry and strange glowing devices on either side of them, and it seems his new acquaintance realises the need for explanation.
“Well, technically, you’re not staying as much as… you’re under arrest,” he then says, smile turning hesitant and scratching his cheek.
Arrest?!
That’s certainly a surprise, given human laws don’t really apply to his own kind. Of course, Avenging has different rules and such… but alas.
It seems his new friend notices his eyes widen, significantly, “But don’t worry, buddy! You’re a special case, of course.”
Thor stammers, he always feels a certain embarrassment over himself when this happens, “May I- may I ask for what offense? I don’t mean to offend, these quarters are quite splendid, but Midgard and Asgard operate different-”
“Oh no,” the man interrupts, keeping a quick pace, “I’m afraid this isn’t Midgard, big guy. The TVA, we, well, control all of time!”
The guards escorting them, they must be guards, stop at the same time Thor stops in pure shock. His father never mentioned anything like this. Is this part of the nine realms? He wonders who these people are, if not human. They surely cannot be gods?
“You control… time?”
“Exactamundo! The sacred timeline, to be precise. Let me show you,” his new acquaintance guides him further with that, until they reach a strangely void room, a single table, pair of chairs and some sort of machine the only things in sight. One of those Midgardian ‘computers’?
And when he’s seated (the chair isn’t quite built for a god of his stature, but he shouldn’t complain, politeness is key, of course), this strange man shows him what appears to be a video. A video of… his life. Thor’s life, that is.
This is absurd. “How do you know this? What-”
“We know everything, buddy,” the man tells him, shuts down the device, grin sheepish, “It’s in the job description, you see?”
Thor doesn’t know what to think, rather, his mind feels somehow numb.
He was just with Loki, she was there, within his grasp, then… this. Thor also doesn’t know how long he sits staring at his acquaintance in confusion until another thought dawns upon him, “Do you have Steve Rogers, too?”
The grin lessens, mouth forming a small o, but the man nods once, “Ah, yes, another department. You two sure know how to cause trouble, huh?”
So he gets an answer, but it leaves him none the wiser, or clearer headed, or understanding. It rather feels like those sort of outlandish dreams children have, like he had when he was younger.
But what can he do? Just face this head-on?
Thor wonders if Heimdall can see him right now. Not… his Heimdall, another Heimdall, who might be alive. A Loki who might be alive, if he can save them.
“May I ask one more question of you, uh…”
“Mobius M. Mobius, at your service.”
“Ah,” he replies, and hesitantly smiles back at the grin he receives, “Then why am I here? This  department , I mean?”
The stranger, Mobius, chuckles. It’s short handed and with the professionalism of those Midgardian businessmen with replicated suits and briefcases and phones chiming them down. Is this Mobius even human? More Asgardian?
“We’re in need of assistance, you might say,” he finally answers, and turns to power up the machinery once more, “And I, for one, have a feeling you might be invaluable for the cause.”
*
Although Thor is not sure he yet understands everything in this strange world he’s now come into, this new friend, Mobius, is very educational, and while the thought of being arrested wasn’t all too pleasing, apparently, they wished for him to work for them, instead.
His offence, that’s yet another thing he still doesn’t understand. Thor wasn’t aware of this, uh, this  Sacred Timeline , as they call it. Surely a god of his status should’ve been told, shouldn’t he?
He comes to wonder if their father ever knew about this.
Thor is fairly sure about one thing, that Odin wouldn’t possibly have told them, had he had that knowledge. And what about Hela?
But he quickly learns not to think about this too much, and he counts about three Asgardian weeks in the TVA, although he has no idea how time works  here , at all. Mobius always says it’s too complicated to explain, maybe he thinks Thor wouldn’t understand.
Loki always said he was as dumb as a doornail. But she never meant it out of spite, he reasons, surely, they’ve always had that sense of humor between the two of them. He loves Loki very much, even when she lets him down. He only hopes his younger sibling feels the same.
Speaking of Loki, that is another thing Thor learns in this weird world- uh, city? Country? Timeline? The TVA is its own thing entirely.
But what he learns, much like his whole life, is that his destiny will forever and always be tied to Loki, and Loki’s to his. Because his new friends at the TVA hired him to find, and catch, his younger sibling and bring them in for a similar crime to his own.
Although he’s also  killing people in the process, Mobius explains much to Thor’s horror, and he’ll have to make sure Loki’s not hurt when he finds him, and ask him why this bloodshed is necessary. Again.
Of course, there must be a good reason as to why she’s doing it, he had a good reason to mess with the timeline himself, he must say, and Loki is incredibly clever, his younger sibling’s grand scheme must be extraordinary. He just wishes she wouldn’t hurt other people in the process, they’ve been over this, but she was getting better!
As Mobius put it, “You know them better than anyone, pal, I’ve got a hunch you’re the only one who can find out where they’re hiding. Well, besides themselves.”
Yes, Thor was not certain this was a good idea.
He traveled back in time to  save his younger sibling, not cause him even more pain. But Mobius seems somewhat trustworthy, and very polite. He assured him justice would be served fairly, and even a lesser punishment considering the help he himself provides!
Sometimes, Thor has to follow his gut. Loki always hated this trait of his.
This work proves tricky, and tedious, and of course, his sibling is sneaky and manages to escape the TVA time and time again, and if they would just bring Thor with them, surely, he could talk to her. Not apprehend her, but  communicate . Not everyone here trusts him as much as Mobius, though, regrettably.
What is curious about his new friend, and Thor’s spent a few nights now racking his brain about this, is that some of the questions he’s posed about Loki are quite specific.
They must be important for the case, he figures.
Just a week ago, hunched over files and files of timeline lingo and alternate futures that Thor has several conflicting emotions about reading, the grey haired man looked up from his scribbles and met his eye.
“Say, Thor,” he started, scratching his chin and twirling the pen in his hand, “Loki ever tell ya what they fancy for dinner?”
And the god had to blink, shuffling the papers. Did he hear it correctly?
“Dinner?”
“I mean, humans, they have favorite foods, you know? Like, preferences,” he chuckled, “I only assume Asgardians are similar?”
Thor smiles as he does when in situations where he doesn’t understand what’s going on, but simple curiousity never hurt anyone. This person’s strange, stranger than the Avengers, but he loved them all the same. “Of course. Loki’s very fond of goat. Herring, too, and our mother’s apple pie.”
Mobius nodded with a grin, and spoke no more of the subject, until two days later (Thor  thinks  it was two days, as mentioned before, time here confuses him profusely), where his friend inquired him about his younger sibling’s eye color.
They’re blue, clearly.
More muted than Thor’s own, but never grey, although some of these files have wrongly informed otherwise.
Really, this interest Mobius reveals in his younger sibling doesn’t faze him at first, but he’s thinking about it more and more often, as it turns out. And today, when the suited man asks him if Loki might be interested in water sports, it only sends Thor further into the obyss of confusion.
Firstly, he’s not sure what these water sports entail. Second, although he doesn’t doubt Mobius is a reasonable man, what does this have to do with arresting Loki?
“Forgive me,” Thor replies, “What are, uh… water sports?”
“Oh, yes! Sorry, big guy. Ya know, jetskis are quite fun for humans and otherwise. Diving, too. You think Loki would like that sort of thing?”
The god finds himself worrying his lip with little answer to the peculiar question. “Perhaps. They love adventures, you see, that’s a thing we have in common. You think Loki’s hiding somewhere, with, uh… jetskis?”
The grey haired man shrugs. Quite strange.
Then his friend continues as they walk along the hall, past several hunters and seemingly high security offices, “She must like jokes, right?”
“Oh, of course.”
Mobius laughs, “I figured,” and his smile isn’t aimed at Thor, but somewhere into the open air, distant and unexplainably fond, “God of Mischief, pranks in his blood. I’m not too bad myself.”
“Huh?”
When the shorter man opens the door for him, he shrugs again, “Sorry, buddy, this way. I mean, they’re incredibly witty. Don’t need to tell you that, I get it. I heard this joke from a Variant, I think they might like that one. You know it? So once there was-”
And so Mobius continues on, the joke must be brilliant, he’s already wheezing to himself, but now, the god’s pretty sure he understands.
Oh.
Oh.
Thor’s not as stupid as Loki claims, you see. And he has to say, he knows courtship when he sees it.
*
Does Thor understand why his younger sibling- or, a version of her, regardless, is hiding out in historic  apocalypses ? No, there’s not much logic in this, but it’s certainly in no way surprising.
Loki’s got a knack for adventures and danger simultaneously, after all.
But when he realises what Loki’s doing, he simply has to go, even if his moustached friend isn’t sure how to clear it with the TVA, or if it’s breaking the rules, but isn’t this what they assigned the god to do in the first place?
This is his younger sibling. Loki’s alive. And Thor, well, like he’s done all his life, and like Loki’s done all their life, one must always follow the other, at one point or the other. It’s fate, he decides.
And he finds him,  finally , after what feels as hundreds of millions of human years and even longer of their own, in the human city of Pompeii.
Loki isn’t exactly pleased to hear the TVA coming, that much is obvious from his face, but Thor is alone, and it’s only a matter of time before Mobius arrives, so Thor must find a chance to talk to his sibling alone.
And his sibling’s face changes from the expectant grin of a plan to kill the minutemen when they arrive to a gaping mouth in shock. Then realisation. Then frustration.
“Loki!”
And the god of mischief groans, exasperated and loud, the screams of the civilians barely fazing them, “Thor.”
It’s a matter of time, then, because they don’t  have much time before they’ll be sunken into the ground they’re standing on, and like Thor first started out his adventure in the Sacred Timeline, his first thought is to get Loki out of there.
It’s his first priority, to keep her safe. There’ll be no death. Not today. Not again.
His younger sibling has their eyes on the volcano as well, their many differences being so in sync at the strangest of times, and before Thor can even think about it, Loki reaches for his arm and they’re teleported somewhere- and some… when? else entirely.
It’s eerily quiet here, a distant rumble from the sky. Rocks as far as he can see. Darkness, besides bolts of lightning striking into the ocean before them, and blinking lights distantly behind them.
And here Loki is; a Variant like himself, as Mobius called it. Breathing.
“Why is it,” she nearly yells, clutching the strange device in her hand and giving Thor that familiar glare of destruction, “You always find a way, somehow,  anywhere, to ruin my perfect plan, brother? How? How are you here, you damn fool!?”
The insult is as it always is, and Loki looks like his blood might nearly boil over, but Thor just can’t help it.
He feels the tears in his eyes before they even fall. “Loki.”
“What-”
It’s only a small handful of times in all the centuries they’ve lived that he’s managed to stun his sibling into silence, a loss of words. This is another incident to add to the list.
Thor grips on so tight, he never wants to let go.
He can’t remember the last time they hugged, actually. It might’ve been when they were children.
Loki pats on his back, after a minute or two, and a breath of annoyance and… something else sounds at the same time as his own staggering breathing. His sibling’s never returned his hugs, you see, but she’s doing it now. At least, Thor surely wouldn’t mistake her holding onto him, albeit not as tightly as himself.
They sigh, “What has gotten into you now, you idiot?”
Thor laughs. It’s strained, but it feels  good. That one, that’s a thing he’s missed. Loki will surely think he’s lost his mind, but there’s nothing he’d rather do right now than listen to him call him the crudest things they could think of.
It feels like coming back home.
“You’re alive,” Thor whispers.
Loki huffs. “You’ve fallen for my fake death, huh? You fall for it every time.”
He shakes his head in response, knowing his sibling won’t be able to see it, but ultimately lets go, and just looks at them. He smiles. Weirdly, hesitantly, confusedly, Loki smiles back.
“You’re an idiot,” she tells him again, but it’s softer this time.
“Where have you taken us?” Thor asks instead, and the answer is for once a place he knows of, “This is Midgard, brother, but way after the humans. In about an hour, it’ll be nothing but dust.”
That’s a frightening thought, he decides. He’s already seen Asgard in ruins.
And Thor has to take him somewhere safer, before Mobius arrives. They can’t go back to the TVA without some explanation, Loki deserves that.
His sibling seems severely surprised when he uses his own device, and a protest begins, of course, but Thor finds the right time, in Asgard, and jumps them both to it. Before their mother’s death. They’ll have to steer clear of the past versions of themselves, and their parents, and anyone else, considering Loki was imprisoned, but they’ll be safe.
And easy to spot.
“Now is not a time for a homecoming, Thor,” she tells him, already pulling up the device.
“Loki, no,” he reaches out, and Loki reaches for their knife, classic Loki, “Give me time to explain, before they come.”
He rolls his eyes but doesn’t raise the knife, “You’re not taking me to the TVA, brother.”
Thor blinks. He almost wants to rewind time on that little screen in his hand, to make sure he heard them right, but stranger things have happened. “You know about the TVA?”
“Of course I do, you buffoon. Who do you think I’m running from?”
He bites his tongue. Oh.
Thor has to shrug. Loki sighs again.
“I know, I know, they’ll arrest me for crimes against the  Sacred Timeline  ,” they say, in an overly dramatic voice and throwing around their hands in flourish, “I can’t believe they got you to help them. I can’t believe  you found me.”
It feels quite like the good, old days, as Stark used to say. “I know you, Loki, even if you don’t think I do.”
They both settle into silence, and this is also strange, but the smile he gets in return, less confused and more nostalgic and… safe, it makes it worth it.
Then, the device in Thor’s hand beeps, and he lets his sibling look at it, and he looks all the more annoyed again.
“Guess I’ll have to surrender now, because of you,” she grumbles, for once, not searching for an escape route, “Who’s leading, anyway? B-15?”
Thor pats his shoulder, in what he hopes conveys comfort. “I’m not familiar, unfortunately. This leader is named Mobius.”
His sibling frowns, but shrugs non committedly, “A new face, then.”
It’s not very often Thor sees Loki in this state, confusion, if ever. His younger sibling’s always been one step ahead of them, two, even, himself struggling to keep up. That’s why he’s always had to watch out for them, before… before the Avengers.
“He seems very interested in you,” he chuckles, and when Loki only frowns deeper, he has to explain his ongoing suspicion, “He’s asked me a great many questions about you. I believe he admires you very much. Even more than myself.”
“So he’s a fan,” Loki says - ignoring the last statement of his, of course, but Thor knows she heard it.
“I’d say more than a fan,” he decides to be honest, and Loki’s brows furrow. Thor pats his sibling’s shoulder once more, “He holds, it seems, similar feelings to when I was courting Lady Jane.”
Loki looks like a giant question mark. “I beg your pardon?”
But they’re interrupted, as per usual. The answer Thor wants out doesn’t get out before Mobius steps out of the time portal, and grins at them both. He seems to hold his gaze at his sibling a little bit longer. His demeanor’s calm, as if… recognition. Coming back home.
And Loki stares back at their brother, eyes wide and brows raised, tilting her head, “This is the Mobius who wants to… court me?”
Thor nods. Loki’s mouth turns upwards to a grin, mischief absent from his face. And even if they’ll deny it if Thor mentions it, his younger sibling’s eyes hold a certain warmth when they look back at the stranger. “I see.”
*
Many great strange things have happened in what seems a short amount of time, but Thor’s put out of work at the TVA, and his sibling’s put to work instead, and Mobius tells him they’ll  reset  him.
“Don’t worry, big guy, it doesn’t hurt,” he chuckles, adjusting his tie, “Your friend Steve had the same deal. Wouldn’t call it punishment, but it’s subjective. You did good work, ya know.”
Loki’s sat at Mobius’ now abandoned desk, one hand on a stack of case files, her eyes meeting with Thor’s own. They’re used to goodbyes, as you can tell. And emotions aren’t exactly their strongest suit.
But his sibling nods to him. The smile has no hints of sarcasm, so he counts it as a win. As progress.
Thor doesn’t know if he can stop worrying, after all. He’ll always do it, and what if he, another version of himself, tries to go back in time again?
Loki’s the only family he has left. But at the same time, his younger sibling is right.
The sun will shine on us again. In another timeline, another universe, he figures. For now, Thor will have to let go, but they’ll always be connected after all. Thor and Loki couldn't be more different, but somehow the same.
“She’ll be safe here?” he asks, because he  has to, “You’re certain?”
Mobius smiles, like he’s heard it a million times before, “I promised you. I keep my promises, Thor.”
Of course. Of course. It’ll be fine. He’ll be fine.
“You ready?” his suited friend then asks, and he hesitantly nods.
“Ready as I’ll ever be.”
The man nods back, and the device in his hand lights up. The seconds seem excruciatingly long, but he’s got to get back, get moving, even without his younger sibling beside him. It’s a comforting thought, knowing there’s many more of them out there, in other timelines, following each other over and over again, as they’re meant to.
“Thank you, by the way,” Mobius then says, strangely enough, as the beams become stronger and the seconds count down. He winks before holding it out to Thor, a gesture for the reset to be complete, “For bringing them back to me.”

Some quick initial thoughts on episode 2
Spoilers ahead.
Okay, so I’m gonna have to get used to the whiplash between this weird new version of Loki and serious Loki. At least this week wasn’t quite so aggravating as episode 1 in this regard. I find I can better tolerate this oddly lively Loki better than the weird posturing version.
One of my hobbies is historical re-enactment, not quite a Ren Faire North American style, but enough that that whole sequence was insane from my perspective.  Loki… in that context…??! Brain… short… circuited…
Given my anxiety over his characterisation I was a wee bit relieved when it turned out that Loki’s whole spiel in the tent about the other Loki setting a trap was a ruse.  It just felt even more... off, and I was worried it was going to be another level of ooc.
I loved that they showed Loki finding out about the fall of Asgard.  ;’(  Makes me wonder if we might get a few more moments of his past and identity in this sort of way.  I’m still holding out for some acknowledgement of Thanos, but feeling less hopeful.
I have to admit I died laughing over Loki shouting at the poor terrified Pompei residents, about time travel and their doom. In. Latin!  Perfect!
The “I know” line was less awful in context.  The “I’d never do it again” line somewhat less so. :/
That explained the carton of fruit juice and the soft drink can thing.
I think I should not have spent so much time analysing the trailers – I found myself ticking off the moments we’d seen as they came up.
I was hoping for more out of the “It’s adorable you think you can manipulate me” conversation.  They really are riding the line between lovable fool who happens to get lucky, and master manipulator. And I really don’t know where’re they’re going with this.  This whole show has me so off balance.
I kinda liked the conversation where Loki described the difference between casting duplicates and illusions.  Maybe not the context and delivery, but I like that he’s showing a detailed technical knowledge about it.  Feeds into the beautiful headcannons about him being a scholar.
Also interesting to see the new variant showing a new (to us) power.  Initially I was confused, thinking she had done something similar to Wanda in Age of Ultron, and so was mighty confused when she jumped bodies.
The whole sequence with the other variant gave me such Dr Who vibes.
The climate change joke hit a bit too close for home.
I did like that the guy who was beating up Loki actually was Loki. Makes so much sense now. So Loki’s powers transfer too? I’d still like to see, as @iamanartichoke has discussed in the past, some fun instances of Loki having super-human strength.
I did love Loki’s comment about how he can see why Thor would get so irritated talking to him! <3
I’m unsure what Loki’s actual plans/hopes are now.  They have been very open about plans for taking over the TVA so I have to assume that’s not it. there’s definitely something up with the Timekeepers. [okay so apparently I can’t type Timekeepers without hearing it said in his voice. XD ] No idea wot tho.  And the new Loki seems to be intent on creating the Multiverse again.
And that also puts paid to my previous thoughts that the Loki series might end up creating a multiverse and Dr Strange fix it.  Seems a bit early to be creating a multiverse in episode 2 if that’s the state you need to finish the series in.  ?  I like that this is so far not going in a way I had expected.
I’m unsure whether Loki didn’t wait for Mobius because he was trying to get away or whether he just didn’t want to lose the opportunity to keep tabs on the other Loki variant and will prove Mobius’ trust in the end.
We seem to have covered off most of the scenes from the trailers now. Except for the purple ones, the flaming sword, and the Loki variants having a chat. Oh and the post-apocalyptic New York. Does that mean we get Purple World in the next episode? I do like that they’ve left a lot unknown from the promo material.
Overall I’m still getting more out of this than I’m disliking. Though still getting whiplash from the characterisation.  Mobius seems a more consistent character than Loki atm.  I do hope we get more of Dramatic Loki than Comedy Loki in future episodes as the stakes get higher. ‘Cause the bits we do get are so good!
Tagging a few folk since the amount of content these days and the timezone difference... 🤷‍♀️ I look forward to hearing what you thought of the episode when you get there. :)

Inside Out
Chapter 1

Tumblr media
“Long before the birth of light there was darkness, and from that darkness, came the Dark Elves. Millennia ago, the most ruthless of their kind, Malekith, sought to transform our universe back into one of eternal night”
Malekith is looking up at the Convergence
“Such evil was possible through the power of the Aether, an ancient force of infinite destruction.”
The Aether.
“The noble armies of Asgard, led by my father, King Bor, waged a mighty war against these creatures.”
The Dark Elves and Asgardians fighting.
Kurse walks up to Malekith. “Malekith! Asgard's forces are upon us.”
The Bifrost opens, and bor steps out with Asgardian reinforcements.
“Send the Kursed.” Malekith told Kurse.
Some soldiers crush objects in their hands and become giant hulk-like creatures. Malekith looks up at the Convergence again.
“As the Nine Worlds converged above him, Malekith could at last unleash the Aether...”
Malekith and Kurse walk up to the Aether.
However, the Bifrost opens and Asgardian warriors attack Malekith, whom he kills. The Bifrost disappears, just as Malekith tries to get the Aether, but it is no longer there.
“But Asgard ripped the weapon from his grasp. Without it, the Dark Elves fell. With the battle all but lost, Malekith sacrificed his own people in a desperate attempt to lay waste to Asgard's army.”
Malekith watches as his forces are slaughtered. “Their deaths will mean our survival. This war is far from over.” He and Kurse get onto his ship and escape without notice, while destroying the other ships in the process.
The ships kill some of the Asgardians.
“Malekith was vanquished, and the Aether was no more. Or so we were led to believe.”
“Sire, the Aether. Shall we destroy it?”
“If only we could. But its power is too great. Bury it deep. Somewhere no one
will ever find it.”

Earth, New York City
Wow! A lot has happened in the past couple of years for Y/n. She met an Alien/God, saved New York from an alien invasion, found out she has a soulmate who caused said invasion, and last but not least finding Gambit. Even though these last years had its up and downs. Y/n hadn’t been this happy in a long time, and spending time with Gambit is the cause of that. Spending time with him just make everything better it makes her miss Loki less (even though she didn’t get to spend that much time him). Now She was now walking down the street with Gambit eating ice cream in the middle of November.
“You met my mother. How that happened?” Y/n said taking a spoon full of her ice cream.
“The good professor wanted information on you.” Gambit answered.
“Charles Xavier knew about me and my where abounds this entire time.” Y/n said with an eye roll. “Apparently him and my father have an understanding with each other.”
“Your mother...she didn’t know you existed.” Gambit stated.
Of course she didn’t Charles fucked with her mind too what a big surprise
“Well that still doesn’t change the fact that she abandon me.” She said in a dry tone.
“You gave me a chance....you trusted me to protect you and I couldn’t.” Gambit said with a sad grimace.
Y/n to turns and looks at Gambit. “You did your best. You didn’t abandon me. Ya you could’ve call to let me know you weren’t dead but I wasn’t your responsibility. Those people were after her, and she didn’t want to get caught so she left me behind.” Y/n stated. “You gave me to my father so I could be safe so I wouldn’t be used by The Thieves Guild like you was. You protective me. You’ll always be my hero.....no matter what you say.”
Y/n turns away from Gambit and started to walk away. As she approaches the cross walk she hears a voice being broadcasted in her mind.
Please no!
“Someone is in trouble.” Y/n claimed.
“What?” Gambit mumbled.
Where are you
Oh my god
Where are you
In the alleyway behind the Barbecue Restaurants just off Main Street
Y/n takes off running to Ray’s bbq leaving Gambit in her dust. When she arrives in the alleyway and doesn’t see anyone.
Hello are you here
“Thank you for coming.”
Y/n turns around and see five Einherjar Guards. “Ummmm.Hello.”
“We are the Einherjar Guards of Asgard and our king wishes to speak with you on the behalf of Prince Loki Odinson.”
“What?”
“The king would like-“
“No no I get that but why.” Y/n said to herself.
Gambit catches up to Y/n and see her with a group of guards. “Petit? What’s happening.”
“I’m being summoned by the king of Asgard.” Y/n said with a small smile.
“A king!! The king of Asgard.” Gambit finished with a gaping jaw.
I get to go to Asgard!
“Look I have no problem coming but I’m kind of in the middle of something.” Y/n voiced.
“This is important the fate of Prince Loki rest in your hands.” Einherjar Guard said not trying to be pushy.
“Fate.....I thought Loki would have been went to trial.” Y/n turns and looks at Gambit.
“l..l hav-“
“No...no it’s find go I know how important he is to you.” Gambit said with a smile.
“But just find your way back Ya.”
Y/n is about to walks over to them when a thought runs though her mind. “How about you come with me?”
“Invitation is only for you.” Einherjar Guard chimed in.
“I see that but I’m just a mere mortal I wouldn’t be comfortable being on a world without someone who can relate to me.” Y/n said artfully. “Would you want to be on a world all by yourself?”
Einherjar Guards look at each other in confusion
“Or someone is going to have to tell the king that they could get a mere mortal to comply.” Y/n said with a smirk.
“He can come but he will be watched.” Einherjar Guard agreed.
“You heard em lets go.” Y/n said as she pulls Gambit and they stand next to the guards.
“Uhhh. What’s happening??” Gambit said with a curious tone.
“Heimdall open the Bi-Frost!” Einherjar Guard shouted.
“This is going to be fun!!” Y/n said In a giggling way.
Gambit looks over at her and could see the excitement in Y/n’s eyes. “What is about-“
Suddenly Bifrost opens! A portal surrounds them In an instant, they're gone.

Upon emerge from the Bifrost, Y/n and Gambit looks around at the Observatory.
“Woo-hoo...let’s do that again.” Y/n proclaimed.
“No I’m gonna need a bucket.” Gambit grunted.
“Y/n L. Munroe and....Remy E. LeBeau I am Heimdall The gatekeeper of Asgard.” Heimdall announced.
“Hi....” Gambit and Y/n said in-sink.
“You are a friend of Thor. He has told me much about you.”
“I wish I can say the same.” Y/n said with a smile.
“If you follow the guards they will lead you to the Castle.”
“Thanks.” Gambit said walks with the guard.
“Heimdall...I was hoping I could come back here.”
“What for?” Heimdall asked.
“Well I would love to hear all your stories, being able to see everything in the universe....thats kind of wicked.” Y/n answered.
“Of course you can.”
Y/n smiles at Heimdall then catches up Gambit and whispered. “Do you think I look ok to meet a king.” Y/n was wearing a Navy blue crewneck cable knit with some light blue jeans and white air force 1.
“Petit, you look fine don’t worry about it.”

Throne Room
Loki is in chains, as he gets brought to Odin.
“Loki.” Frigga said in a began.
“Hello, mother. Have I made you proud?” Loki asked
“Please, don't make this worse.” Frigga said with a calm voice.
“Define worse.” Loki said in a casual tone.
“Enough! I will speak to the prisoner alone.” Odin proclaimed.
With one last look Frigga walks out the throne Room.
Loki looks up at Odin and laughs. “I really don't see what all the fuss is about.”
“Do you not truly feel the gravity of your crimes? Wherever you go there is war, ruin and death.” Odin voiced.
“I went down to Midgard to rule the people of Earth as a benevolent god. Just like you.” Loki expressed with a shrugged.
“We are not gods. We are born, we live, we die. Just as humans do.” Odin specified.
“Give or take 5000 years.” Loki sarcastically remarked.
Odin: “All this because Loki desires a throne.” Odin put forth.
“It is my birthright.” Loki voiced.
“Your birthright was to die!!!....” Odin shouted. “.....As a child. Cast out onto a frozen rock. If I had not taken you in you would not be here now to hate me.”
“If I am for the axe, then for mercy's sake, just swing it. It's not that I don't love our little talks, it's just ... I don't love them.” Loki said perpetually tired voice.
Odin tap the Gungnir on the ground and the doors open. Loki looks back back at the doors to see who could possibly coming in.
“Are we to wait on Thor?” Loki questioned.
“No Thor has nothing to do with this......” Odin started. “This is about someone else. That you are not worthy of.”
Wow this place looks so amazing
“Do you still want the Axe?” Odin wondered.
Loki looks over at Odin with wide eye then turns around and see Robin she looks just as he remembered her. Breathtaking.
“Loki!!” Y/n called out.
Loki can tell she’s happy to see him, she had a broad grin on her face despite him being in chains. “Y/n.” Loki said with darted a suspicious glance at Odin. “What is the meaning of this!?
When Y/n reached Loki she stands next to him and looks up at Odin.
Should I bow
You Bow to no one
Y/n looks over at Loki with a quizzical smile and all she gets back is a coy smile.
She turns back to Odin smiling to herself.
“I brought Y/n here to say goodbye to you.” Odin said in A calm voice.
“Goodbye..why would I need to say goodbye.....is he getting-“ Y/n said in rapid blinking and shaking her head ‘no’.
“You brought Y/n here to spite me......how do you even-“ Loki fumed.
“Frigga told me a long time ago, when you was just a boy.” Odin explained. “And Frigga is the only reason you are still alive and you will never see her again. You will spend the rest of your days in the dungeons.”
“I thought he was going to die.” Y/n said like a weight was lifted off her shoulders, but then a relief is quickly replaced by anguish. “If you were going to do this then why do you bring me here? You should’ve left me on earth, instead of bringing me here when you’re just going to but him in the dungeons for the rest of his life.”
My life
Loki looks over at Y/n with knitted brows. “Y/n....”
“I know what Loki did on earth is unforgivable but-“ Y/n started.
“Did he or did he not kill someone close to you?” Odin asked.
“Yes he did and I kick his ass and my father brought him back.” Y/n answered.
“Your father.” Loki looks over at Y/n with his brows pulled together in a frown.
“Ant....Boot.” Y/n said teasing Loki softly.
“Oh.” Loki said with a blank stare and a paled face.
“Does he deserves punishment or not ?” Odin chimed in.
“Yes but-“
“Then it’s decided-“
“No. No. This can’t be the last time I’ll see him.”
Loki looks over at Y/n and see that black veins slowly starting to appear on the side of her neck.
Y/n, what is the matter
Nothing, I’m fine
“Let me have two weeks with him here on Asgard.” Y/n said not wanting to sound pushy.
“Giving you two weeks with Loki would give him happiness-“
“I’ll be in the dungeons with him.” Y/n said meaning the words more seriously than they sounded.
“You would do that.....” Odin said in curious tone. “.....for Loki?”
“Yes I would.” Y/n said firm persistence.
“Hmm.” With tap of the Gungnir, the doors open.
As the Einherjar Guards come in the throne room and takes Loki and they struggle to get him to leave.
“And what of Thor? You'll make that witless oaf king while I rot in chains?” Loki said with a rigid expression.
“Thor must strife to undo the damage you have done. He will bring order to the nine realms and then, yes. He will be king. “ Odin answered.
Loki looks at Odin and then Y/n as he gets drag away, then Odin looks over at Y/n.
“You can have your two weeks.” Odin announced. “You do not have to be in the dungeons with him.”
Y/n turns her head quickly to look at Odin. “What? why would you just-“
“Do you not want it?” Odin snapped.
Yes..yes I do thank you.” Y/n said sincerely.
“Frigga” Odin calls out for his wife.
Frigga walks into the throne. “Well if it isn’t Y/n Munroe, l am Frigga Queen of Asgard.”
Y/n turns around and see the Queen of Asgard. “Hello.”
Wow she is so beautiful
Frigga approached and took Y/n’s hand in hers and looks at her with a sweet smile. “We have so much to talk about.” Frigga said as she led Y/n away out.
“You are even more beautiful then I thought.” Frigga said with a voice soft with affection.
“No you are.” Y/n said with out missing a beat.
Frigga laughs. “Is this Midgard attire.” Frigga said with one hand spin Y/n around to see her full outfit.
“Oh yes it is.”
“It’s lovely your practically glowing like the morning sun my dear.” Frigga said with a smile.
“Thank you.” Y/n said returning he smile.
“Come dear there’s much we must do.”
Meanwhile Loki watches Frigga and Y/n walking and talking, unaware of the horrors that were occurring several stories below his feet.
“I can’t remember the last time Loki or Thor brought a friend home to meet us,” Frigga said to Y/n . “When a young man brings a young woman home to meet his parents…” Frigga began, implying a possible marriage between Y/n and Loki.
“Technically, I think we have only known each other for a month.” Y/n said, surprised to be having this conversation so soon.
“And if it were three million years, would that change how you feel?” Frigga asked.
Y/n thought on this.
It wouldn’t change one thing.
○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○
“Beautiful golden sunlight shined down through the lush, vibrant forests of Vanaheim. Unlike Svartalfheim, the realm of Vanaheim was much more pleasant an environment. It was home to beautiful lakes and mountains, with vast fields of green spread out as far as the eye could see. But today, it was filled with danger and destruction.
The people of Vanaheim—known throughout the Nine Realms as the Vanir—raced through the forests as fast as they could. They were being chased by the Marauders, a race of space pirates—brutal invaders who were armed to the teeth and out for blood. Their sole purpose in life was to take what was not theirs, and destroy anything—and anyone—that stood in their way.
A frightened Vanir woman ran for her life but stumbled, falling down a riverbank just as a Marauder fired a massive fireball. It streaked above her head, impacting a nearby tree and causing it to burst into flames. As the woman regained her footing, she was confronted by a towering Marauder. He raised his razor-sharp ax, ready to strike, when suddenly a steel mace smashed the villain in the face, knocking him down, and knocking him out.
“Standing over the frightened woman was her savior—Hogun the Grim, of the famous Warriors Three. Hogun did not wait for a thank you, nor did he want one. The Marauders were running rampant across his home world, and Hogun was determined to stop them.
As more Vanir ran to safety, Hogun stood his ground—the only barrier between the fierce oncoming Marauders and the peaceful Vanir. The Asgardian warrior gripped his mace tightly and steeled himself, ready for what just might be the last battle of his life. With a skull-shattering roar, the Marauders charged, determined to crush Hogun and the rest of the Vanir people.
The lead Marauder raised his broadsword and swung, but his blade was deflected by another sword—the sword belonging to Fandral the Dashing, the second member of the mighty Warriors Three! Fandral, still handsome as ever despite the battle, rode through the charging Marauders on his white horse, knocking down one intruder after another until he was able to make his way to Hogun, flashing a smile the entire way.
“Do we have a plan?” Fandral asked his fellow Warrior as he flipped the lead Marauder off his horse and tossed.
“We stand and fight!” Hogun the Grim yelled.
Fandral rolled his eyes at his friend’s single-minded determination to fight. Then a loud Boom, Boom, Boom echoed throughout the trees. Fandral, Hogun, and the rest of the Vanir stopped in their tracks and turned their attention toward the deafening noise. It was coming from beyond the woods, and whatever was making the noise was big. Very big. The ground shook and trees fell with each sound as the unseen threat got closer and closer.
The Vanir did not follow Hogun’s orders to stay and fight, but instead quickly retreated into the woods. The idea also crossed Fandral’s mind.
“Have you considered ‘turn and run’?” Fandral asked, but Hogun only frowned in response. Then the grim warrior looked up and over the tree line and began to back away as well. Finding a Marauder’s horse without its rider, Hogun swung up into the saddle and galloped away. Fandral was close behind as explosions rang out throughout the woods. There would be time enough to fight later.
The two warriors quickly rode their horses into a clearing where the Marauders were fighting with a few of Asgard’s elite guards, the Einherjar, who had come to help the Vanir. Hogun and Fandral stopped before one of their Asgardian compatriots, the strong and beautiful Lady Sif, who was just as brave and tough as the Warriors Three.
Sif was on horseback, locked in furious battle with a dozen or so Marauders. Sif spun her bladed spear high over her head, taking down several of the barbarians, then split the spear in two, forming a magnificent blade for each hand.
Sif fought with fierce determination against the horde, but despite her resolve, she was gravely outnumbered. With all her might, she flipped off of her horse and delivered a powerful kick to one of the Marauders, sending him flying back past the third member of the Warriors Three, Volstagg the Voluminous.
“Volstagg—on your left!” Sif cried.
Without missing a beat, Volstagg swung his battle-ax at his attacker, striking him down with one fell swoop. And when another Marauder tried to attack him with a club, the voluminous one merely took the hit, then turned, broke the club in two, and backhanded the Marauder, sending him flying through the air. But all of this nonstop battling was beginning to take its toll on the excessively large warrior. Now out of breath, Volstagg made his way to a giant pile of timber where he could take a momentary break.
“What are you doing?” Sif yelled. She couldn’t believe her eyes. Here they were in a heated battle with villains known for decimating anything in their path, and one of the legendary Warriors Three was taking a breather.
“Giving them a moment…to regroup…only fair…” Volstagg said between long, labored breaths.
But no sooner did Volstagg stop to catch his breath than another horde of Marauders set their sights on the large warrior. They ran at him with their weapons drawn, but Volstagg merely kicked out the timber, causing it to collapse on and crush the approaching horde.
Volstagg gave himself a congratulatory grin, but it was short-lived, for just as he did, he was slashed across the back by a Marauder. He wasn’t as unstoppable or impenetrable as he thought. Nearby, Lady Sif wasn’t faring too much better. She was surrounded, and a Marauder from across the battlefield was aiming his crossbow at her head.
Just as the snickering Marauder was about to squeeze the trigger, a huge thunderclap echoed throughout the land, and with a bright, blinding light, the Bifrost—the way in which Asgardians traveled between the realms—fired down from the heavens into the center of the battlefield—and directly on top of the Marauder with the crossbow. Lady Sif raised her arm to shield her eyes from the spectacular blinding light and was just barely able to make out two Einherjar on horseback bursting from the glowing white column and charging into battle.
One of the Marauders used this commotion to sneak up behind Volstagg. He raised his sword high above his head, preparing to strike down the warrior, when a whizzing sound echoed from within the Bifrost. As the light died down and the smoke began to clear, the sound intensified. Suddenly, an object rocketed out of the Bifrost, sliced across the battlefield at supersonic speed, and slammed into its target: the Marauder who was about to strike down Volstagg.
The Marauder flew through the air and kept on flying. And flying. Volstagg turned, and upon investigation made out the object that had saved his life. It was the most famous weapon in all the Nine Realms. It was Mjolnir.”
The powerful hammer, which was forged in the heart of a dying star and used by only he who is worthy, hovered in midair before speeding back across the battlefield to the hand of its wielder—the mighty Thor!
Thor, Prince of Asgard and son of Odin Allfather, emerged from the light of the Bifrost looking battle-worn but still majestic, and the sight of him instantly gave the Warriors Three, the Einherjar, and the Vanir a renewed sense of hope. Now that Thor was here, they were sure to defeat the Marauders. But Lady Sif felt that she didn’t need Thor’s help to win the day.
“Shouldn’t you be battling trolls in Nornheim?” Sif said with a scowl.
“I ran out of trolls,” Thor said with a charming smile. “Heimdall said these Marauders were giving you trouble,” he added.
“I have this completely under control,” Sif retorted.
Thor surveyed the battlefield. “Is that why everything is on fire?”
“You think you can do better?” Sif challenged with a smile.
“It would be a challenge to do worse,” Thor said dryly before being surprise-attacked by two extra-big and extra-tough Marauders. Sif rolled her eyes in response, then joined her friend in battle.
Soon, Thor and Sif were joined by Fandral, Hogun, and Volstagg. As the battle raged on, Thor used Mjolnir to take out multiple Marauders at once. And when one Marauder thought he might be able to seize the hammer by grabbing on to it, the hammer simply pulled the invader through the air, right to Thor’s waiting fist.
Thor, Lady Sif, and the Warriors Three fought bravely against the menacing Marauders, each one helping their fellow Asgardians. When one Marauder shot an arrow at Thor’s head, Sif jumped into the air and raised her shield to block the attack. And when another fired a rocket launcher–like device, Thor valiantly deflected the blast with his mighty hammer, the impact from which knocked them all to the ground—hard.
“As the Asgardians got back to their feet, they heard the same Boom, Boom, Boom sound that Fandral and Hogun had heard earlier. Whatever it was that was making that sound was much closer now. And the Marauders were getting ready for it. They parted the battlefield to make way, and the heroes looked up over the tree line and finally saw the cause of the sound.”
“A giant Kronan stone monster, made entirely of rock and standing fifteen feet tall, loomed before Thor and the Warriors Three. He held a massive metal club and looked down upon the Asgardians with contempt. The monster was about to crush their bones into dust.
“All yours,” Sif said to Thor as she and the Warriors Three began to back away. The Marauders cheered. This was the fight they had been waiting for! Surely nothing could stop their stone man, not even the Mighty Thor. The rock monster smashed his club into the ground and let out a thunderous roar, signaling the start of the battle.”
“I accept your surrender,” Thor said, but the monster only raised its club higher, preparing to strike. But Thor was ready. Holding Mjolnir by the strap, Thor began to spin his hammer. It spun faster and faster and faster until it was nothing but a blur and Thor was rocketed off the ground in flight. The monster roared again as Thor, flying with his arm outstretched and all the might of Mjolnir in front of him, launched himself directly at the great beast. There was a deafening Choom as the hammer connected with the creature, then a blinding explosion. The Marauders looked up in disbelief and their cheering stopped. Chunks of rock rained from the sky as the monster’s feet stumbled backward, disconnected from its body, which no longer existed. The upper half of the stone man had been completely obliterated by Thor.
“The Son of Odin gripped Mjolnir tightly and turned with a scowl toward the rest of the Marauders. Almost in union, the remaining Marauders dropped their weapons and raised their hands in surrender. The battle was over.
“Next time we should just start with the big one,” Fandral said with a smile.”

A/N: Random idea. Very fluffy. A little awkward… probably what would actually happen if you took Loki to a thermal bath spa when you are seriously crushing on him… enjoy! ;-)
Words: 4087 Warnings: a lot of fluff, sexual themes, implied smut
Birthdays were special—or at least, they should be. For the last decade, however, your own reflection in the mirror had been the only one wishing you a happy birthday. You had grown used to it. Loneliness was not so bad once you learned how to deal with the ache in your heart. But perhaps this year could be different, even though by now, you avoided telling the people in your life about your date of birth.
You had joined the Avengers a little over eight months now—and even though they were all nice and kind, there was only one other person you truly connected with. Loki. The man who had, only a few years ago, attempted to subjugate the entire planet. You shook your head quickly. It had not been his fault, not entirely. He had suffered under Thanos’ torments as much as you had been suffering under your loneliness. He was lonely too. Thor was his brother but he was no longer a friend, not really. The distance between them, albeit not physical, felt heart-breaking to even watch.
Surely, Loki would not be opposed to joining you in the thermal bath spa today. You intended to treat yourself, clandestinely and quietly, for your birthday. Having Loki with you—the man you could not only spend countless sleepless nights with talking about life, desires and fears but also caused your reoccurring and uncontrollable wet dreams. Seeing him shirtless for almost an entire day would put the cherry on top of your imaginary birthday cake.
Cautiously, you knocked on his door, your bag already packed. You would not need more than a book to relax with, some snacks (some of which were healthier than others), a towel and another bikini to change into, especially since the exclusive sauna was a no-clothing area anyway. Oh… if you got Loki to join you there…
“Yes…?” Loki’s disinterested face practically lit up when he realised it was you who had knocked. Smiling, you squeezed yourself through the gap.
“Hi.”
“Good morning.” He frowned, eyeing your bag. “Are you going somewhere?”
“I am, and I was wondering if you would like to join me. I’m heading to a local thermal bath spa to relax a little. You know… whirlpools, saunas, massages…”
Intrigued, he leaned forward. He remembered receiving positively amazing massages from Asgardian therapists in the palace when he was younger. They had worked wonders on his exhausted muscles after his training with Thor.
“Who else is coming?” He asked.
“No one. Just you and me.”
The God of Mischief smirked. “Very well.”
-
It had taken him time to warm up to you, and he had not just once questioned your intentions and sincerity. It warmed your heart, seeing him blithe, cheeky and curious now whenever the two of you were together. It almost felt like catching glimpses of his old, light-hearted self—before he had found out he was a Frost Giant; and that his whole life had been but a lie.
Loki had a good heart—he merely protected it well.
“Are you telling me we are going to share these pools with other people?!” He exclaimed in a downright horrified manner as you walked past the first swimming area to the reception.
“Oh… yes.” You giggled. “I’m afraid so, the spa is open for other customers too, after all. I’ve booked a booth all for myself… so we’ll have as much privacy as possible, alright? Hi!” You smiled at the receptionist who gave you a court nod.
“I’ve made a reservation, the name is (Y/L/N).”
“Oh yes, Ms (Y/L/N), you’re right on time. Please, let me escort you and your partner to your booth. Inside, you’ll find our welcome package, including champagne and the hot chocolate for your massage. If you need anything else, you can pay with your bracelets which will also give you access to our sauna world. Any purchases made will be added to your bill when you check out, other than that… we’re happy to help if you are experiencing any problems.” The words bubbled from her mouth like the gushing waterfall in the whirlpool area.
“Oh, uh, yes, thank you.” You stuttered. You blinked, blushing furiously. Loki spoke up as soon as she was gone and left you to change into your complementary bathrobes.
“Hot chocolate… for our massage?”
“Um… yeah… the package I booked to get this booth is intended for couples, usually.” You had almost forgotten about that when you decided to invite Loki this morning… Well, at least, the booth was nice. Opaque and dimly lit, it reminded you of an indoor-tipi. Inside, a giant round mattress took most of the space, along with a small table with, like the receptionist had promised, the hot chocolate and a bottle of champagne with two glasses.
“Ah. I see.”
Your heart skipped a beat, no, several at once, when Loki’s blue gaze met yours. If only he knew about your wet dreams… with a sigh, you undressed until all there was left was your bikini. You truly couldn’t wait to dive into the whirlpool first thing before your massage appointments, but what you were looking forward to even more was spending an entire day with Loki completely shirtless.
You gulped, quietly, when he followed your example. Quite hilariously, he had been rather unfamiliar with the concept of swimwear. On Asgard, nudity was rarely frowned upon when it came to bathing, whether it was a giant bathtub or a lake—still, Loki had always had the privilege of complete privacy as a prince, so he had told you.
He had refused to borrow one of Tony’s bathing trunks and instead opted for magic. Now, all he was left wearing were a pair of black swimming trunks with green and gold accents, complimenting his pale, yet well-defined and muscly chest.
“Do you like what you are seeing, my dear?” Blinking, you cleared your throat, quickly looking away. You blushed again, causing the God of Mischief to chuckle to himself. He truly was a tease. By now, you had learned this much—Loki was constantly torn between his smugness and confidence because of his physical superiority over you and his own shyness and insecurities whispering to him that as a Jötun, who would ever find him attractive compared to the mighty Thor?
You longed to prove him a lot more often he was indeed a lot more handsome than the Thunderer.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You said finally, his cheeky grin growing even wider when you grabbed a towel and headed for the whirlpools. Loki followed you amused.
-
“Loki…?”
“Yes, my dear?”
You had been watching him, secretly of course, for the past twenty minutes now. How his muscles danced when he leaned back and closed his eyes, arms spread on the edge of the whirlpool and his Adam’s apple moving slightly when he swallowed… his wet body shimmering in the dim light of the spa… focus.
“Is there a reason nobody else is willing to join us in this particular whirlpool?” He really liked this one. For the past hour, you had been trying them all out. You could tell he preferred those with lower water temperatures. Oddly, however, other customers practically seemed to avoid the pool. Granted, some of them might have recognised him… but surely not all of them.
“I would never…” He teased, opening one eye and glaring at you mischievously. You grinned, shaking your head. For Heaven’s sake, you would only love to swim over to him and sit on his lap, find out what it would feel like to straddle him and to explore his muscles with your wet palms… but you would probably freak him out if you did. Loki had never indicated he had a romantic, let alone sexual interest in you. Your wet dreams would most likely remain just that—dreams. Wishful thinking. You sighed, taking a peek at the huge clock on the wall.
“We have one and half more hours until our massages. I’m gonna dry off and head to the sauna for a bit but you can stay here if you like.”
“No,” he replied quickly. “I will join you.”
You climbed out of the whirlpool with a smile, your body, instead of freezing, growing hot as soon as you heaved yourself out of the water. The cool air should have made you shiver, yet you felt your back burning. Loki was watching you, you were sure of it. Intently.
You returned to your private booth to put on your bathrobe, with Loki following you suit. It was nice and warm inside, perfect for a short break.
“Ugh, stupid hair…” Grumbling to yourself, you struggled to make your wet ponytail presentable again. The God of Mischief chuckled and raised an eyebrow, a cheeky smirk tugging at his lips.
“Come.” He said, reaching out for you. Blinking, and ignoring your rapid heartbeat, you obeyed. He made you turn around so you were sitting between his legs, holding onto his thigh for support. You had expected so much out of this spa visit with Loki… but not that you would become so aroused throughout the day. This man could be breathing peacefully and it would make you horny. For Heaven’s sake…
You almost purred when he suddenly ran his long fingers through your wet streaks to untangle it a little. He removed the hair tie easily and soon began to part your hair in three. Before you even realised what he was doing, he was already braiding it neatly.
“You… wow. Thank you. How do you know how to do that?” And how do I get you to do this more often? His fingers had felt wonderfully in your hair and on your scalp. You could only imagine him pampering other parts of your body…
“I used to do it for my mother as a child. I always came to hide with her in her dressing room. It somehow calmed me down whenever Thor and his friends… never mind.”
Turn around, a seductive voice in your head screamed. Turn around and kiss him, now! But you did no such thing. Instead, you darted away from him as if stung by an adder, much to his surprise.
“S-sauna.” You said quickly. “ Loki nodded, eyes, however, widening fast when you started taking off your bikini under the bathrobe.
“What are you doing now?”
“Uh, there are no clothes allowed in the sauna.” You mumbled in response, curious about how he would react.
Gosh, ever since your arrival, you were torn between seduce him and pounce on him and run away screaming. You just couldn’t decide… in fact… in fact you wished he would just pull you on his lap and kiss you senseless.
“You mean to run around naked? Among strange men?” He countered as he approached you slowly. He looked good in that white bathrobe, it complemented his wet raven hair… argh, focus! Loki sounded almost… possessive. A sign? Would he kiss you? Pretty please with a cherry on top? Perhaps you should just tell him it was your birthday and ask for a proper kiss as your birthday gift.
“I do it all the time, Loki. No one cares about the nudity in there. Besides, it’s rather dark in the cabins. I understand if you don’t want to do it though, you don’t have to come with me, I can—”
The God of Mischief snorted. “I am not letting you go there alone.”
You paused, mid-sentence, a smile tugging at your lips. Now you couldn’t just kiss him but at least, you could hug him. Loki always acted like he hated the physical affection you often showered him with but in that aspect, he was a bad liar. A sigh escaped his lips when he reciprocated your hug and wrapped his arms around your body. It was so tiny compared to his, the urge to protect growing within him like an ancient, primal need. Mine… he blinked.
Oh no, you were a mortal. He would not make the same mistake as his brother and fall for a woman who would die centuries before him.
“Let us go.” He had not told you yet but he was not overly fond of saunas. He was familiar with the concept, of course—steam baths and alike—but had usually avoided them back on Asgard. It wasn’t until he had found out he was a Frost Giant that he realised why he despised the heat so much and yet… he was willing to sweat with discomfort just so he could see your half-naked, no, all naked body all wet and warm and… Loki cleared his throat and let go of you like a piece of blistering firewood. Mutely, he followed you to the sauna world and used his bracelet to get inside.
He already longed to snap the necks of the men turning around to glare at you hungrily when you both entered, his left hand jerking slightly as he almost brought it to the small of your back to show them you were taken. They glanced away again quickly, realising Loki was not to be meddled with.
As soon as the two of you had disappeared into one of the cabins—an empty one, much to his relief—he flicked his wrist. A green, barely visible shimmer of light surrounded the opaque door. No one else would get to explore your naked body with their eyes now—only him.
Only then did he start to feel the gravity of the heat around him. It enveloped him, slowed him down… he took a deep, disgusted breath.
-
You shouldn’t be shy. Fuck it. Drop your towel. So you did, avoiding Loki’s heated gaze on you as you did and sat down. While part of you meant to lean back and present your breasts to him temptingly, another wanted you to cover yourself up again this instant. You looked up and…
Loki’s lips were parted. He didn’t even think about removing the towel around his hips. Instead, his greedy gaze wandered up and down your body, slowly and intimately. You gulped. It took him a moment to pick himself up.
Then, finally, he slowly removed his own towel, revealing the sight of his member. You swallowed thickly. He was big. Bigger than the average man, even in his soft state. Loki sat down next to you, another mischievous smirk playing on his lips. He knew. He bloody knew. He must have… right?
With any other Avengers, this situation would have been super awkward and strange but with Loki… it was peaceful. Neither of you felt ashamed to be naked around the other, no sounds disrupting the silence. The heat felt amazing, sweating all negative energy from your system even better. There was only the steam hissing in the background, the rapid beating of your own heart and Loki, panting frantically. Panting?
Loki? Are you okay?”
“I feel fine.” He lied. You flinched when you looked over to him. Loki was blue, his eyes glowing red in the dimly lit sauna and his bare chest decorated with dozens of ridges you longed to trace with your fingertips.
“You’re blue!”
Taken aback, the God of Mischief gazed down at himself, jumping up as if stung by an adder as soon as he realised.
“A-are you okay?”
“Fine,” he choked out. You barely had a chance to reply before he stormed out of the sauna.
“Loki! Loki, wait!” Grabbing your towel before you could dart after him, you clumsily wrapped it around your body to cover yourself up. Loki had disappeared into the shower room.
He glared at you from the corner of his eye when he saw you approaching him slowly—ignoring the other naked man taking a shower as cool as you please. The pattering of the water onto the wet files echoing through the room pierced your ears the closer you came but you barely even registered it. Loki was leaning against the wall, palms pressed flatly against it. He looked normal again. Not blue.
“You were not supposed to see that.” He growled quietly. Hesitatingly, you put one of your hands on his shoulder blade. He had no idea how this could have even happened. His body reacted to the cold. To objects of Jötun origin, not to heat and hot air. It must have been a defence mechanism to cope with the sudden temperature change…
“It doesn’t matter, Loki. I knew about… well.”
“You knew I am a monster? A wolf in sheep’s clothing?” He snapped bitterly.
“I knew you were a Frost Giant. You’re not a monster. You haven’t eaten me yet, have you?” You joked, waiting for him to reply. When he said nothing, you took a deep breath. “I’m sorry, Loki, I didn’t think the heat would do… this. Are you… are you sure you’re okay? I don’t want to spend the rest of my birthday in the hospital.” Even though you were fairly certain a regular hospital could barely help the God of Mischief. You should have considered his race when suggesting the sauna. Why, for Heaven’s sake, hadn’t he refused to come with you? To… protect you, maybe? From other, greedy men? Your pussy clenched at the mere thought of it.
“What did you just say?”
“W-what? Nothing.” Shit.
“Your birthday. You said it was your birthday.”
Defeated, you gave him a court nod and shrugged innocently. “It… it is. That’s why I wanted to come here today, relax a little… and spend time with you. Let’s just… go back to our booth and forget this happened, alright?”
She is not afraid of you. She does not hate you. She is not disgusted. The thoughts tumbled through Loki’s head like a house of twigs collapsing in on itself. She wants to spend her birthday with you.
He nodded mutely, for once at loss for words, and followed you. He had sworn to himself to not make the same mistake as his brother, besides, a mortal was no match for him… right? How soon, however, would he once again find someone who liked his company simply for the sake of it? Someone who would spend their most important day with him of all people? Someone who did not despise his true nature? Perhaps… perhaps, he should reconsider.
Hungry for a snack to stifle the shock, you reached into your bag to retrieve a package of marshmallows once you were back in your private booth. It was your birthday, after all. You could have some additional calories today if you weren’t going to get any cake. Apart from that, you needed something to munch on, even after admiring Loki’s backside… and his very impressive manhood. You wondered, briefly, if his cock was covered in ridges too when he was in his Jötun form… and how they would feel inside of you. You should have looked down when you had the chance. Licking your lips with a hum in a weak attempt to distract yourself from your naughty thoughts, you ripped open the package and fished one of the marshmallows out.
In the meantime, Loki opened the champagne bottle and poured you both a glass.
“And what is that supposed to be?” He said as he handed you one of them.
“Marshmallows? You’ve never had marshmallows before?”
“No…” He responded slowly, rather suspicious towards the white sugar clumps.
“They’re sweet and soft and… here.” Unceremoniously, you dipped it into the hot chocolate. It shouldn’t go to waste, now should it? “Eat.”
Loki obeyed, still in doubt but he soon hummed in approval when he let it disappear in his mouth. “Delicious… Tell me, what was that hot chocolate intended for, initially?” He asked curiously when he had swallowed, nodding at it before taking a sip of his champagne.
“Um… well…”
Impatiently, he raised an eyebrow.
“It’s for, uh, couple massages. You know… you’re supposed to use the chocolate for… as…”
“Massage oil?” He finished your sentence with a nod. His blue eyes locked with yours, making your heart pound in your chest. By the Norns, he should have read the signs earlier. The way you looked at him—both shyly and provocatively at the same time… the way your breath caught in your lungs whenever he touched you, even if it was in the most innocent and decent way possible. You made him laugh, too. It had been a while since he had laughed, from all his heart.
“Hmm, I see. Well, perhaps you were wrong, my dear.” He mused and put his glass away, making his decision there and then. “Perhaps I will eat you after all.”
He smirked—maliciously at that when your eyes widened and he crawled up to you on the huge mattress, right until he towered above you. Unceremoniously, he reached for the hot chocolate and inhaled deeply. The scent was infatuating—Loki’s hungry glare, however, even more so.
“L-Loki… what are you doing?”
His lips parted, one of his hands reaching up to caress your cheek. You shivered, desire and affection rippling through you. What was happening here?
You couldn’t help it. Your eyes wandered down to his lips. What would it feel like to press your lips against his? What would it feel like… oh. He was kissing you. A moan escaped your throat when his mouth came crashing down on yours, kissing you gently at first and then, devouring your lips like his last meal. Your languishing glance, so it seemed, was all the invitation he had needed. Loki’s hands set your body on fire, exploring every inch of your skin, stroking your neck, your arms, your chest…
You squealed when he undid the messy knot you had tied into your towel, leaving you completely exposed beneath him. Once more, his blue eyes appeared to ravish you whole. Then, suddenly, you both witnessed and felt him pouring the warm chocolate over your chest and breasts, your already hardening nipples reacting to the sweet liquid immediately. Oh my… God…
You couldn’t have imagined it to be like this in your wildest dreams. Goose bumps lingered wherever his fingertips ghosted over your body, the droplets of chocolate tickling where they trailed down your sides, threatening to stain the mattress. Your breath was trembling from desire by the time Loki lowered his head to your body and finally released your now swollen lips, instead tending to the warm and sweet mess he had created on your upper body. His tongue darted out as he hummed in joyful anticipation, patiently licking you clean.
Your back arched, hips bucking up towards him and grazing his crotch. It was him who moaned this time, his free hand, for he propped himself up with the other, fondling one of your breasts. You wanted more. Oh, you wanted so much more. But not here. This booth was private but at the end of the day you were still in public. At home, back at the compound… if that was what he wanted too. Don’t be a fool… of course he wants it too, the horny voice inside your head complained.
“Hmm… this tastes much better than those marshmallows…” He purred. You whimpered when he sucked one of your hard nipples into his mouth and tenderly nibbled on it. The attention made you clench your legs. Betraying arousal was pooling in your centre, drenching your bikini bottoms. If he didn’t stop now…
“W-we’re going to miss our m-massages, Loki…” You attempted weakly.
Loki chuckled darkly. “Something tells me you wouldn’t very much mind that, my sweet.” My sweet… if you hadn’t been lying down, your knees would have given in now at the very latest. Loki had a lot of explaining to do, and so did you. You had pounced on one another like wolves in heat, like sex-starved beasts… but not now. For the time being, you would simply enjoy having broken the thin layer of ice remaining between you. “You are right, of course.” He added then. “I want to be the only one to hear you screaming my name…” Another low chuckle rumbled through his voice chords, sending pleasant shivers up and down your spine. Reluctantly, he released you and let you catch your breath. Naked, you sat up, eyeing him with a shy smile which Loki reciprocated. This spa day escalated quickly, you thought, giggling to yourself. Not that you were to complain.
He winked. “Happy Birthday, (Y/N).”
