So, the Todoroki side plot got thrown in the garbage this chapter...
The less problematic stuff, aka, Geten being a Himura--pointless and just an excuse to explain the ass pull Hori pulls with the actually relevant characters. I think it's a neat that it turns out the Himuras were just as, if not more into Eugenics type shit than Enji. But besides getting a bit more background on Rei's family Geten being a Himura isn't important at all and really didn't need to be included.
As for the rest--it's trash and ultimately could end up with the Todoroki subplot's theme endorsing abuse.
I've seen people defend Touya getting ice as a power up as it proving Enji wrong--proving that Touya was always good enough. Maybe that could have worked if his ice came out only once he was accepted by Enji and at peace, but instead it's the opposite. We are told a Quirk break through happen when people are put in life or death situations. Touya is getting his ice after burning himself into a black skeleton.
Touya getting ice does the following:
Makes Enji right about the Quirk marriage. He and Rei produced a perfect combo first try and later got a second.
Enji was wrong to stop training Touya when he started to burn himself, and instead he should have just dialed up the training and tortured him worse than Shoto because that's what would unlock his ability.
The narrative is essentially saying child abuse is good actually. Again, because Quirks only awaken like this if the person is under extreme duress, if Enji had kept training Touya, but in a way where he didn't burn himself that wouldn't have unlocked his ice. Touya would still be stuck with his handicap and unable to reach his full potential. He wouldn't have become the perfect combo. Enji being non-abusive wouldn't have solved this problem.
The only thing that would have made Touya what Enji wanted is if he'd abused him more physically. If he'd kept training Touya and forced him to burn himself to the bone. Essentially his abuse would be rewarded.
The story is saying that if Enji had just stuck with it, and ignored Touya's physical pain than he would have gotten exactly what he wanted. Yet, instead he stopped the training Touya because it was dangerous for him. He should have spent time in other ways, developed a relationship outside fighting, but that's not the message Hori sends with turn of events.
It also just ruins any growth Touya could have had. He no longer has to see beyond his Quirk. It robs him of realizing that his father should have loved him regardless of his Quirk and more about Enji not seeing him for the perfect boy he always could have been if his father had just set him on fire at four years old. Touya's no longer wrong about anything--his dad should have kept training him, he should have been beat the way Shoto was. If his dad really loved him he would have let Touya burn his skin off.
To me the way Hori has included this power up for Touya ruins the subplot. Whether Hori intended it of not, it's now possible to read it as supporting abuse and self harm. Your kid can't do a thing because they're disabled--keep making them, eventually, once you beat the shit out of them enough they'll be the perfect kid you always wanted. Can't do a thing because you're disabled and it hurts you--keep doing it, even to the point of full body break down because in the end you'll achieve your goal.
It's become "See dad, you should have loved me because I was perfect the entire time!" instead of "it doesn't matter what your kids can do, you should love them anyway".

requested by: anon enemies to lovers, forced to sleep in the same bed [room] trope. wc: 1.3k tags: not rly enemies to lovers, more like enemies to enemies that fuck
Enemies to lovers Jay learning that this stupid fucking trip forces the two of you to interact. That alone is enough to piss him off and activate the petty part of his brain.
Enemies. That's a fucking fact.
Imagine how he felt when he learned his cousin is dating you and bringing you to the fucking family trip? Trust, he did just about everything to prevent it. Including sending you hateful messages, semi-threatening that if you showed up he would absolutely piss in your cereal.
Well, you showed up anyway. And unfortunately, no one bought cereal for the kitchen so it looks like he needs to find a different method of making you miserable.
What's even more unfortunate? His cousin has no idea that he hates you. And why does he hate you? Well, given that you rejected him all those years ago for prom in a hella humiliating way....does he really need to explain?
For years he was made fun of for it, and you laughed with everyone at him. Not with him, at him.
Fucking bitch. That's what you are.
And you continue to be that bitch this whole time too. Knowing he had a thing for you, unsure of if he still does but still acting like he does. You don't need to know that he'd definitely still hit that shit. In more ways than one. Across the head seems more appropriate at this point though.
"He needs to leave early." Jay's mother explains to him in a semi-whisper. "Guess the sea-food got to him."
Jay silently gives himself a high-five at the idea that you'd leave with your boyfriend, his cousin.Unfortunately, you don't. In fact, you over-stay your welcome solely because your boyfriend's family loves you so much and practically begged you to stay.
At least Jay has his own room, right? WRONG. Oh, his demise hits him in the chest that very next morning, learning that his bitch-ass parents replaced his cousin's room with a different family member. Apparently they had wanted to come but all the spots in the house were filled up.
Now, they're on their way and you're moving your shit to the living room.
"Jay, why don't you let her have your room? It's only polite."
"Fuck that" is what Jay would say if it weren't for his father looming with a death glare.
"No, no!" You gleefully cut in. "If he's okay with just sharing the room, I'll be okay!" He rolls his eyes. Just because there's a pull out couch in the room doesn't fucking mean he should have to share it. With you no less. ・・・・・・・・・・・・・・ Did you do that on purpose? Maybe.
Do you love your boyfriend with your whole heart? Not really.
What most people aren't aware of in this family is, well, your boyfriend isn't exactly the best person to be involved with. Oh, he left because he's feeling sick? No he didn't, you saw that text on his phone. Despite you loving his family, and his family loving you, neither of you really love each other these days. Additionally, neither of you really have the heart to break up due to the benefits you both get simply for holding the title of boyfriend/girlfriend.
So, you trying to pull one on Jay both before and after your boyfriend saw himself out the door feigning sick? Definitely on purpose. After all, if you and your boyfriend are past the point of even trying to make intimacy work, it's not so bad that you both find it elsewhere.
Kind of like a mutual relationship where's you're not dating except for when the family comes together and the two of you pretend that love hasn't fallen through the floor.
Imagine Jay's face when he found out, deep into the night where it's silent save for the rain pattering against the window.
"I'm not actually dating him, you know?" You blurt out of the silence, wanting to push somehow for Jay to admit that he still wants you. If anything, to boost your own confidence and force him to abandon whatever respect he has for his cousin to keep it under wraps. "He left to go fuck his actual girlfriend."
"Okay?" Jay huffs out, pretending he doesn't care but actually loving the juicy hidden secret. "What does that have to do with me?" "Well, Jay Jay-" You smile in the darkness, cuddling close against the pillow and lending a small chuckle at the way he's situated himself on the pull-out bed. "It has everything to do with you if you want to fuck me."
You hear him inhale at your words before breathing out in a shaking breath.
"You are so fucking full of yourself." He starts, lifting up so fast into a sitting position that he nearly feels lightheaded. "After the way you humiliated me? You think I want to fuck you now?!" You shush him quickly, wanting so badly to mock his inability of volume control. Which...that could be fun.
"Please, you've wanted to fuck me since you learned what fucking even was."
Fair, Jay thinks, as he narrows his eyes at your barely-visible figure in his bed.
"You're being ridiculous. I wouldn't stoop so low." He argues back, voice a bit weaker, like it's breaking. Then he flops back down onto the pull-out, ignoring the uncomfortable creaking of the bed.
"Relax. I'm just trying to get laid here, it's not like we have to date or anything."
As if that's not what Jay has wanted since fucking prom?! Casual sex?! With you? "You're kind of a whore, you know that?" Jay spits, aggressively rolling over to face the wall, not at all to hide the fact that he's absolutely about to shove his hands down his pants.
"Do you want me to be?" You encourage him to think like your boyfriend used to. "Want me to apologize for the way I treated you?" He remains silent, squeezing his eyes shut and willing for all of this to just be a dream, though he'd be fucking pissed if it actually was. "Don't you want to punish me for it?" You continue, softening your voice now, lifting yourself on the bed and crawling to the edge of it. "Make me say sorry? Make me regret the day I never let you do it in the first place?" "Fuck off." Jay tries to control himself. The need to absolutely fuck you into the mattress, shut that pretty mouth up? It's intense right now. "Stop trying to come onto me." And when you do, he's actually disappointed. He hears the way you crawl back into position and roll over in silence. The room stays quiet for a little while, but he can't sleep now. Arguably, you can't either. "You're so fucking annoying." Jay huffs, rolling off the pull-out and instantly getting on the bed with you, hovering over you, letting you feel how hard you've managed to get him. "If you're able to actually shut the fuck up, take your shorts off and roll over." You hum, delighted by his weak mind state. Loving that in a way, he admits it. Finally, he admits it. All those narrow-eyed stares at you weren't just from hate. He definitely wanted you, and he still does. You do as you're told with a mocking laugh, shoving your shorts down your thighs and rolling over for him. He makes quick work, already slapping his length against your ass cheeks before instantly pressing his tip into you with a pathetic, whiny little groan.
"Thought you'd be rougher." You smile against the pillow, only to feel his hand in your hair. He tugs you back with an uncomfortable arch now cramping at your back. "Thought you wanted to make me sorry.”
“Can you please shut the fuck up?” Jay groans, shoving his full and thick cock straight into you with a solid thrust. “Hm?”
Well, now you can. Because oh my god? He’s been this big the whole time? You could’ve been bouncing on this countless times already and you’re only now feeling how good it is? Crazy mistake on your part.
You couldn't mock him back if you tried right now, with the way he releases your hair only to push your head into the pillow, fucking into you so aggressively that you can barely even breathe. He really is making you sorry.

no because imagine pining for fushiguro megumi. like, that would be the most frustratingly confusing thing ever omg.
you’re trying to get closer to him; close enough to know his favourite colour, the music that’s playing in his earbuds and the dishes he loves to eat.
so you text him and this boy is DRY. hella dry. you text as casually as you can even though you know that a) your crippling social awkwardness hinders you from acting ‘cool’ with anything and b) how are you supposed to keep calm when he’s your crush and you’re that down bad? (and you really are. just one glance from him has your knees buckling and nobara facepalming.) yet each time you text him, he doesn’t like any of your messages, and seems to love leaving you on read. not that he’d be doing it on purpose— megumi is, in fact, not chronically online and is probably busy whenever he isn’t replying to you. but why wouldn’t he be prioritising you if he did like you?
so does he not like you? is there any way to change his mind?
yet this is what makes it so furstrating and confusing— he gives you hope. Because why is he sharing exam notes he made for you just so he could share them with you? and yet when you’re jumping around in your room like a loon and kicking your feet up in the air, he sends another text:
‘thought you might want them, since you’re the only person who wants them.’ which is true— so would he have sent it to yuji and nobara if they cared more about their grades? is he just sending it to you since you’re the only option? would he give them to anyone else if he had a choice?
it’s so confusing!
and when you thank him and give your notes to him as an ‘exchange’ (you’re just so deep in your delusions that you think sending him your notes will impress him somehow) he just writes, ‘thanks’. no capitals, no exclamation marks, no emojis whatsoever— just BONE DRY TEXTING.
then when you say goodnight to him, and he says goodnight to you, telling you to have sweet dreams and a good rest with the blandest of emojis ever: classic ‘😀’ and that goofy ‘👍’. ugh! does he like you or not?
it’s so bad that it’s reached the point you’re texting him without any hope left. full-on check-ups every day on him even though you know he doesn’t like you back. even if nobara and yuji say that he barely replies to either of them daily and never wishes them so much as a ‘good luck’ before a test, a ‘good job’ for a mission well-completed, or a ‘goodnight’, much less a ‘sweet dreams’, you’re not king to have that hope. you’re not going to believe that he likes you— you chalk it up to him just being nice, as much as you’d like to be wrong.
so you’re surprised and absolutely elated when he says that he likes you over text, and then again face-to-face.
you swallow your sense of embarrassment as best as you can, trying to level your head with his outside your classroom.
“you’re so confusing…” you tell him before kissing his flushed cheek.
Tumblr media
bye this is so stupid help. can you tell that the confusing part is based on real life events. why is he like this

gn!reader | iwaizumi will do a lot of things if you ask, but he's always a little awkward and embarrassed about taking photos of himself. what angle does he use, why's the lighting so bad, this is his "no one will see me" t-shirt, does his smile look forced, etc, etc., which means you only ask every once and a while, mostly as a joke, and never mind when he brushes it off with a laugh.
so when you open your messages to see an unprompted selfie of him, blurry, sitting in dim light, cheeks flushed and biting his lip to stop a grin, shocked is one word you can use to describe yourself. apparently drunk hajime is different from sober hajime, and confident enough to send a second, third photo capturing his night out with his old teammates at karaoke.
and you're not sure if it was their idea or his, but you really can't bring yourself to complain when he accidentally sends a video instead of a photo that perfectly frames his slightly unbuttoned top, messy hair that he runs his fingers through (he's brought up needing a haircut every week for the past month, but keeps pushing off setting an appointment), and raspy laugh as he tells someone off screen to shut up and sing already before turning to you with a smile.
"oh, shit, it's a video."
"pft, are you really that drunk?"
"hiii," someone—you think tooru—singsongs your name.
another complains, his voice muffled by your boyfriend moving the camera, "ugh, can you move over?"
"hi babe." hajime's low, slurred voice brings your attention back to him. "i got 94 on m'last song, jus' so y'know.
"let it go! that was all luck—"
"shut up, it's not my fault y'got 67 and sound like a dying bird. ugh," he seems to lose his train of thought and sniffles. "uh...don't worry, issei's driving m'back. i'll tell you 'bout it when i get home. see you soon, alright? love you."
the video ends, cutting off the beginning of a voice crack and off-pitch note, and the responding cackle that momentarily fills the quiet of your living room.
it's not a hard decision to save everything he's sent to your phone. the real hard decision will be tomorrow, you think, when you have to decide between teasing him to death or helping with his hangover. but then you get another notification—another text from him that reads "Cany ou tell them i'm not gonna sing adell" and you smile.
you can probably do both.
(he does end up singing, but so does everyone else. the video you get is way too loud, and way too close to the microphone, and the phone falls to the floor at some point, but it's saved to your gallery anyway. he makes you promise not to play it the next morning because it's "so headache inducing he could explode.")

“Sorry, babe. I’ll make sure to make it up for you next time, okay?”
You sigh, throwing your phone inside your bag and standing up to leave the fancy restaurant with the sound of your heels echoing through the sound of the soft jazz music.
On the way back to your car, the only thought in your mind is all the times when your friends have told you that your boyfriend is an idiot that only stays with you for comfort. You always try to excuse him, but why?
Do you even still love him?
Thinking about it is more hurtful than being turned down by him on the dinner that you planned for your anniversary, while you try to hold the tears hiding your face on the steering wheel, you make a decision.
You bought this pretty dress only for this night, to surprise him with a new dress. You looked for tutorials to get a pretty makeup on that’d make you look stunning. And you are, so it would be such a lame to waste this night crying over an idiot who can’t keep his word with you.
That’s what you thought in your car, getting excited for a wild night as you drive to the nearest night club and you get inside to get drunk and make out with a stranger. But, your moral betrays you once you get your drink and realize that your adrenaline got you thinking about cheating.
Does he really deserve it?
I mean, he's not that bad as a boyfriend. He at least remembered about sending me a message to say that he couldn’t come to our date, right?
Opposite to what was supposed to happen, the rush of thoughts running in your head makes you feel a little guilty after taking some more drinks. You put the money harshly on the bar and turn to leave, but a familiar voice calling your name makes you turn back to it.
“I didn’t think of finding you here, precious!” Satoru’s voice calls you, raising his tone to let you hear him through the loud sound of the music. “Weren’t you stressed all week planning a hookup or something for tonight?”.
You frown, looking at him with annoyance as you roll your eyes.
“It wasn’t a hookup! It was dinner!” You raise your tone too, but he makes a gesture to his ear, pointing that he didn’t hear you correctly. You lean closer to his side, trying to resume it and be clear “My boyfriend couldn’t make it!”
He laughs, leaning his head to the side to smile at you. His cheeks are slightly pink and he seems a little more relaxed than other times, it could be a mistake of your eyes thanks to the lights moving and flickering, but you get the hint that his pupils might be even a little dilated.
“I thought that you’d dump him sooner or later!”
“You wish. I haven’t broken up with him!” You protest, hitting his chest softly and rolling your eyes as you take the last remains on your glass on the bar in one sip. You thought of leaving, but Satoru always makes his way to bring up a smile to you everytime that your boyfriend disappoints you.
Satoru clicks his tongue, stepping closer to you and leaning down a little to speak closer to your ear. There are so many things around you both in this club; music, lights, people and the vibrations of the music resonating, but even through all that, Satoru’s breath makes your skin shiver when he speaks.
“I could make this night better for you, If you want”.
Your eyebrows frown, leaning a little to the side to look at him with a chuckle. But all your playfulness goes away when his face is still closer to yours, looking at you with expectation and a little smile on his mouth.
“How are you planning to do that?” The answer from your mouth comes out in a soft whisper, so soft that it’s impossible that Satoru heard it with the loud music playing. But he clearly knows that, if it were the opposite, you would have laughed and leaned back, but you didn't.
So, when he leans closer and closer to your face, with his lips barely touching yours is when you finally give up. His cologne has combined with a faint smell of smoke and his lips are slightly opened, waiting for you to take the final step, to take the decision of cheating on your boyfriend.
Should I call him and tell him that I felt hurt?
Your hand goes up through his body to grab the back of his neck.
He might feel sorry and make time for me if I tell him.
The possibility crosses your mind as your head tilts to the side to have a better angle with Satoru’s face.
But.
Will he be able to give me the same satisfaction as Satoru?
It's the final thought that you have before his lips start to devour yours, skipping the "innocent kiss" part and immediately grabbing your waist to bring you closer.
You don't know when or how, but your hands are hugging his neck to bring him down to your lips, taking quick breaks between kisses to grab some fresh air and get back to him again. He's holding you with such strength like you might escape from him, but there's no better place in the world right now than being here, kissing him and forgetting about everything.
His hands go down from your waist to your hips, reaching finally your ass to give it a squeeze that makes you pull back from the kiss to moan softly. Satoru takes the chance to kiss down your jaw and neck, sucking on your skin without a second thought to let a purple bruise grow on you.
The braces of your dress start to fall down while he keeps kissing and marking, his knee holds you between your legs to keep you standing as he rubs the clothed cunt with his bone. You can only moan and grab his hair between your fingers, too aroused to do anything.
There's a lot of people, people too lost on their fun or alcohol to care about you both making out in the bar, they don't even know that you have a boyfriend. But you still hold his hair tightly to bring him up, he moans in a tiny laugh when you pull him, getting turned on by any simple action from you.
“N–Not…”
Satoru sighs, about to let you go but you hold him tight before keep talking.
"S–Satoru…" He looks down at you, staring between your lips and your eyes like he's hypnotized. "Not here".
A bright smirk grows on his face as he answers a clear "I got you" before grabbing your hand to sneak away through the people and get you both inside the bathrooms of the club. To your luck, it was empty and he took the opportunity to quickly close the door with a key.
"Why do you have the keys of the bathrooms?" You ask, still dizzy from the makeout and rush.
"Yaga won’t notice that I grabbed them." he winks at you and walks closer to you to caress firmly from your thighs to your waist, slowly lifting your dress. You let out a soft whimper when his nails scratch softly on your skin. "Are you feeling doubtful?”
You open your mouth to answer, but a moan comes out before you can say anything when his hand has already reached your clothed cunt while the other harshly pulls down the top of your dress to let out your breasts, you startle at the soft sound of a rip as Satoru laughs softly as his face hides on the crook of your neck to keep kissing and marking your skin.
“Fuck, Satoru— This dress was expensive!” Despite your whine, you shout your eyes to ignore how sensitive you are by the friction of his shirt on your nipples. Every movement resonates on the echo of the bathrooms, being the total opposite to the rowdy club.
“I’ll buy you a new one, don’t worry” He whispers beside your ear and you feel your legs getting weak again, so you bring a hand down between his legs on the bugle on his pants to squeeze him up and down.
Satoru lets out a broken moan on your clavicle that sounds like heaven thanks to the echo.
The vibrations coming from your bag start to distract you, but there’s nothing that could care you more than Satoru’s hand rubbing your clit above your underwear.
You try to grab out the phone to stop the buzzing but it's hard to get focused right now, so you throw the small bag on the counter of the bathroom to hold his hair tightly and start to grind your hips on his hand.
Satoru loves how desperate you are, stopping the movement of his hand between your thighs suddenly. You whine in protest but he turns you on your spot quickly to have you looking at your both reflects on the mirror.
The reflection of your sweaty and half naked body makes you feel a little nervous, but Satoru quickly pushes that thought away as he looks directly at your eyes on the reflection while he keeps kissing down your shoulders, the deep gaze on you and the sensation of his hard crotch grinding on your ass makes you feel the most desired you ever felt on months.
His hand returns down and puts aside your panties to slide inside the tip of two of his fingers inside your wet cunt, your body shakes at the action, holding the counter with one hand while the other holds his hand between your legs by instinct. Satoru immediately pulls out his fingers and you protest, again.
“W–What? Why did you stop?” Your voice comes out shaky, turning your head back slightly to look at his face.
“It’s not fun if you aren’t looking too.” Satoru pouts on your shoulder, returning the tip of his fingers to your entrance to lubricate them with the wetness around your folds. “Let’s enjoy the show together, okay?”
As his fingers slowly start to push inside you, you rest your head on his shoulder, trying to keep your gaze with half opened eyes on the mirror as he is fingering you and the other hand squeezes your breasts, pinching the nipples between his nails and making you squirm on him. All the movement of your body makes the grinding on his erection get more persistent, causing you both to moan and groan as his fingers keep digging and curling on your folds.
Moans and wet sounds resonate thanks to the echo of the bathrooms, echoing louder when your orgasm starts to get closer.
“Sa–Satoru… D–Don’t stop” You moan, almost crying of pleasure when his palm starts to rub harder on your swollen clit when his movements get a faster peace and spreading your juices all around your cunt. “I–I’m gonna cum!”
“Yeah? Are you gonna cum by the fingers of someone who’s not your boyfriend?” His voice is raspy, struggling to answer through his hard breathing.
It’s embarrassing, but you nod desperately, grinding harder on his hand and squeezing one of your breasts while the other holds his hair for support to not fall off because of the big orgasm coming.
“Yes! Yes and I l–love it!”
Satoru laughs shakily, curling his fingers and kissing your neck as he answers.
“Cum all over my fingers, darling. You won it.” He orders, and you cum almost instantly in a loud cry. All your squirming and shaking during the explosion of your orgasm makes you stop looking at the mirror, but fortunately this time he decides to enjoy the show by himself.
Satoru waits patiently for you to stop spasming to let you ride the orgasm as long as you can, trembling and standing up just because of his hold on your body. He pulls out his fingers to grab your hips and you whine breathless.
“Don’t whine, you look like you ran a marathon. One where you arrived at the last.” He teases, resting his head beside you with a smirk.
“S–Shut up.” You hiss, pushing your ass back to feel him and make him groan. “Wait until I make you cum next”.
He moans heavenly again, resting his forehead on your shoulder and struggling to speak with your movements, but not making a movement to stop you.
“I don’t want you to blame me for cheating on your dear boyfriend, y’know?”
You roll your eyes, moving a little from his hold to lift the back of your dress to leave it hanging on your waist and pull down your panties. You hold the porcelain counter to arch your back better and jiggle your ass for him.
“So you want to lose the opportunity to do it raw?”
Those words are heavy.
You don’t even let your boyfriend cum inside, you use birth control but still you ask him to use a condom. You don’t even bother to blame the few shots you drank, you know that he gave you the best orgasm in two years since you started dating your partner. Right now, you don't even care if he rips in two halves the expensive dress that may be covered in sweat by now.
Satoru bites hard on his lip, looking everywhere but your tempting ass in sight for him. Now he’s the one doubting, but it doesn't last long before you hear the sound of his belt tinkling and feel his hands squeezing your butt to spread it.
He looks at your wet folds, dripping down the remains of your cum on your thighs, he grabs the base of his hard cock and rubs it on your entrance.
"God— Baby" He hisses when the red tip starts to slide inside you and is received by your gummy walls already tightening. You moan sharply when he starts to push and let you feel his hard veins "You’re so fucking tight. So hot."
You moan sharply without any doubt anymore as his length makes his way inside you. Even if you can't see him, you feel the slight curvature of his cock pushing more and more on your G-Spot.
"I haven't had a good fuck in some time." The words come out in a breath once he has finally pushes all inside, his hands grab your hips firmly before he starts thrusting with a slow rhythm.
After the first orgasm, you’re still sensitive with any touch of his skin on yours.
"I guess I can fix that." He laughs, starting to send thrusts that make your ass jiggle slightly by the hit. Satoru's patience seems to blow away once you start to push back for more.
"Please… Ruin me, please" you fix your gaze again on the mirror, loving how Satoru seems almost hypnotized by your ass recoil while you get a view of your tits hanging side to side from his thrusts. "Make me feel guilty for enjoying another man's cock so much".
"Fuck— You're such a dirty girl, huh?" Satoru finally starts to send harder thrusts that resonate loudly, not enough with the sound of  his hips hitting your ass, his hand sends a slap on it, making you moan in a broken voice "A slut so fucking needy for a good cock, yeah?"
“Yes—! Yes I–I am” You nod, too cock drunk by how he keeps hitting on the weak spot on your gummy walls.
He laughs shakily and grabs your neck to bring your back against his chest, his hand holding your neck as the other crosses around your stomach to hold your cunt close to his thrusts.
It's hard to look at the reflection with the small tears forming on your eyes since this position gives his curve a better angle to get you crying his name. Your hands just can hang on your sides as your body receives all his hard thrusts.
Satoru also looks at the reflection with his lips half opened and keeping his gaze on your numb body. When your insides start to tighten around him on the advice of your second orgasm approaching Satoru bends again your body closer to the counter.
His hand grabs one of your thighs to put it on the counter and push your face against the mirror, his cock slams harder than before inside you as your body smashes violently on the mirror while your orgasm hits you screaming his name.
"Fuck— You're a fucking angel, gorgeous" Satoru keeps thrusting hard and messy until, in a hard thrust, you feel a warm start to fill your aching cunt.
You breathe heavy against the mirror, leaving a spot of mist on it while your whole body trembles while Satoru keeps thrusting inside you to push his cum further as the music of the club sounds like it's far away from you.
You both stay like that for a little, trying to put your heartbeats again on a stable rhythm.
Satoru gently seats you on the counter when he pulls out and notices the weakness on your body. You blush softly, mumbling a soft 'Thanks' with your dry throat.
"No round two, then?" He jokes, fixing his pants and grabbing some paper towels from the dispenser.
"You look as fucked out as me, Satoru" you laugh softly, pointing at his flushed cheeks and sweaty forehead. He approaches near you to clean you with the paper towels you startle, pushing him immediately "Wait— What are you doing!?"
"Cleaning you up?" He asks with an skeptical tone "I know that anyone has ever cummed inside you and you don't know that, but—"
"I've done it like this before, Satoru".
Satoru only answers a soft "Oh" that is followed by a wide grin, his hand gives your thigh a small squeeze that makes you jump on your spot slightly.
"So you've been naughty before, huh?"
"Shut up, Satoru" you look away from him, pulling closer your bag to give it to him "I have some tissues here, use them. I don't trust in those paper towels".
"We literally just had sex in here" he protests, but still grumbles around your small bag to look for the tissues, but suddenly stops the movement when he notices something.
Instead of grabbing your tissues, Satoru brings out your phone and shows you a screen of a call in progress with your boyfriend.
You quickly grab the phone and put it on speaker, hoping that he answered with the phone still on his jeans.
"Hello?"
"Fuck off". You hear his voice and then the finished call sound comes.
You don't even feel bad or guilty after finding out that he maybe heard you fucking with another man, you just look at the phone surprised by all the things that happened so quickly.
After some seconds, you feel again Satoru squeezing your thighs and you look up from your phone at his smirk looking at you with wide eyes.
"So… Are you single now?"

"Does the offer for tickets still stand?"
Jessie's smile widened as she read your message.
"Of course. Which game do you want to see?"
When she locked her phone and tucked it into her jacket pocket she caught the curious look Janine was giving her. The blonde leaned against the lockers, hand resting on her hip.
"What's that about?" She asked with a single waggle of her eyebrows and a knowing look to the phone.
"Nothing," Jessie replied in a drawn out tone as she rolled her eyes and turned to walk to the carpark, knowing Janine would follow.
"I think you mean 'Y/N'," Janine said rather smugly as she fell in step. Jessie came to a stop and shot her friend a withering look.
"Not you, too," she complained, being immediately met with all-too-satisfied laughter from Janine.
Since Jessie texted Teagan about you a few weeks back, she'd received relentless razzing from her Bruins teammates, but now it seemed word had gotten out even more.
"You were crazy about her back in the day," Janine went on undeterred. "I remember you texting her - not as discretely as you thought, by the way - and moping over her at camps."
"Uh huh," Jessie said in a flat, unimpressed tone as they began walking again. "I did not mope," she muttered.
"Oh you moped," Janine refuted. "Big time." Before Jessie could argue further, Janine went on. "And now she lives here and so do you? And she’s single? Sounds like fate to me," she said with a cheeky smile.
"Stop it," Jessie scolded mildly. The rest of her complaint dissipated as she felt her phone buzz. She pulled it out and shot Janine a dark look at the "Oooo" noise she made upon seeing your name on the screen. Jessie turned her back to Janine and opened the message, ignoring how the girl was tall enough to see over her shoulder anyway.
"Awesome! Whatever's available, really. This weekend, next, whatever works. Thank you!"
Jessie sighed irritably as she tried to ignore how Janine was blatantly looking at the message.
"I can get you tickets for this weekend. Is two okay?"
"Why are you offering her two!" Janine protested. "You want her to bring a date or something?"
Jessie rolled her eyes. "I'm not going to make her attend alone. She can bring a friend." She averted her gaze briefly before lowering her tone. "A friend who's hopefully not a date." Immediately, she went on. “Not that I care. We’re totally different people now. There’s nothing to read into.”
“Right,” Janine deadpanned. She opened her mouth to speak, but a new message popped up and both girls’ attention was drawn to it.
"Brilliant! I'll be there. Thank you so much. I'm looking forward to it! It's been too long since I've been to one of your games."
Jessie smiled before tamping it out when she remembered Janine was studying her.
“Cool. I’ll send you the tickets.”
She was going to write something further, something witty, but not with Janine hanging over her shoulder and analyzing every word and move.
“Imagine if you get benched this Saturday,” Janine said followed with a laugh. Jessie glowered at her.
“It wouldn’t matter anyway,” Jessie said haughtily, recovering from the dirty look she shot her friend. “It’s not like she’s here to see me specifically.”
“Uh, I think that’s exactly what she’s doing. Remember? She doesn’t even like soccer?” Janine pointed out exaggeratedly before muttering. “Which would totally be a red flag, but your Bruins girls seemed to like her, so I guess she can’t be all bad.”
“Oh my gosh,” Jessie chided. “Her not caring about soccer is not a reflection of her character or worth as a human being. God, Janine.” She rolled her eyes and Janine made a face at her.
“You know what does though? How much emotional turmoil she put you through in university. I can - and do - judge her for that,” Janine retorted, now earnest.
Jessie shot her a look as they reached their cars. They stood to face one another and she sighed.
“It’s not her fault,” she said quietly. “I never told her how I feel. Felt.” Jessie glowered at herself this time, rolling her eyes. “She didn’t string me along or anything like that. Anytime I was moody - or mopey - it was my own doing. We were really close and I wanted more, but I was too shy. And I’d get jealous of girls who did have the nerve to ask her out and date her and it was my own fault.”
“This isn’t the 19th century, Jessie. She could’ve asked you out, too,” Janine countered and Jessie huffed in frustration, folding her arms tightly across her chest.
“Well. I guess. But. I don’t know.” Jessie kicked at the ground with her sneaker. “I think she maybe was now and then? Like - not explicitly I guess. But looking back I think she wanted me to reciprocate more and I didn’t. Maybe.”
Janine arched an eyebrow at her.
“What do you mean?”
Jessie’s frustration grew, but she took a breath.
“I don’t know.” She shrugged sharply and redhead out to open her car door. “It doesn’t matter. That’s all in the past anyway.”
She didn’t have to look at Janine to know the girl was processing how far to push this. Mercifully, she relented.
“‘Kay. Well, I've push my judgement aside. And truthfully, if you like her, that says a lot - she must be pretty great. I look forward to meeting her on Saturday. And I will be nice. I promise.”
“Thank you,” Jessie said, giving Janine a grateful look. “See you tomorrow.”
“Later.”
——————
Saturday’s game rolled around and Jessie was in the locker room getting ready when her phone buzzed. Normally, she didn’t check her phone or keep it nearby when she was preparing for a game, but, you know, what if you had a question or a problem with the tickets? She clearly had to be available.
When she checked her phone and saw your name, she smiled. For the first week or so anytime you appeared on her phone Jessie felt a spark of surprise, but that had now diminished. Not in a bad way, but you two had been texting quite regularly and it wasn’t a shock anymore to hear from you.
Ready to watch a ball be kicked around and chased for 90 minutes!
She actually laughed when she read the message, but it was cut short when she saw the selfie you sent with it. On one hand, you looked beautiful and she smirked at how you’d bought a Thorns scarf and hat. On the other hand, old feelings came up when she saw you and your…friend. Whoever that may be. It was a silly notion, but it felt too familiar.
Jessie sighed.
What - no Fleming jersey?
Lol. I guess we’ll see how today goes as to whether or not I can be swayed. I mean, that’s a commitment.
Jessie's attention was drawn away when Coach announced it was time for warm-ups.
"Off your phone," Janine said dramatically with a bobble of her head. "You're so focused you missed the update to the starting lineup."
"What?" Jessie asked, eyebrows furrowed and attention now fully on her friend.
"Yeah," Janine said pointedly as she crossed her arms. "You really didn’t hear? You're not starting anymore. You're on the bench; Coach is thinking of pretty much resting you for the game."
"What?" Jessie asked again with greater intensity, sitting forward. She watched as Janine's stern expression melted into laughter. Jessie's concern and confusion immediately shifted to irritation and she stared daggers at the blonde.
"Oh my God. I can't believe you fell for that," Janine teased. "Don't worry," she went on, rolling her eyes, "nothing's changed. But now I know how much you want to show off for Y/N."
"You're ridiculous," Jessie scolded as she stood. "I'd be upset any day about getting suddenly benched. What are you talking about." Janine still snickered.
"You gotta point her out to me when we get on the pitch."
"No," Jessie said firmly as she typed out one last text.
"Time for warm-ups. It usually takes us a long time to get out of here after games, but if you're around later on maybe we can grab a drink together."
Jessie fought off the impending blush and tucked her phone into her bag before jogging after the rest of the girls.
Out on the pitch she put in quite a valiant effort to not look in your general direction. It was all rather pointless, really, it's not like you were close enough to the pitch for her to see you clearly or vice versa, but still. She also readily ignored the way Janine tracked her stare for any indication of where you were sitting.
By the time the anthem rolled around, Jessie's resolution waned. She stood there with her shoulders back, hands clasped behind her as the music echoed through the stadium. Despite her intentions, her gaze wandered over to the section you were in. Her gaze lingered long enough for her to pick out the spot you were in. Again, you weren't super clearly defined that far out, but it was you.
She bit the inside of her cheek and fought off a blush. She refused. This was a new time, a new Jessie, and she'd be damned if she'd shrink and blush just because you were here. She'd played in front of sold out stadiums on the world stage - why should she care if you were watching? Still, her mind raced back to when you first came to one of her games.
She'd played with the Bruins for over a year by the time you became friends. Jessie had really been downplaying the whole soccer thing for the initial part of your friendship - she didn't want it to define her and in a way it felt like bragging. She actually liked that you didn't know her for soccer and when someone else in class once made a big deal about her, you looked momentarily perplexed, but unfazed and you both immediately went back to talking about nanomaterials.
In fact, Jessie never actually invited you to one of her games. The concept just seemed so…egotistical. That said, she remembered when the starting whistle was about to blow at one of the games and she made the mistake of scanning the crowd. Just the memory of the shock and nerves that washed over her upon seeing you in the stands nearly caused her body to recreate the same reaction in this moment. She took a deep breath.
Jessie was so stunned to see you at the game that the whistle blew and the game started while she remained rooted to her spot for several seconds, belatedly stumbling like an idiot after the ball long after it shot past her. She was off the entire game - shots going wide, poor challenges, and somehow ending up flat on the pitch more times than she could recall in recent years. It was a game from hell for her.
After the game, she was so embarrassed she scurried off the field, showered, got changed and rushed back to her dorm. Only later did she learn you'd looked for her after the game. Next time she saw you in class, she sunk in her chair, anxiously tapping her pencil on her notebook and determinedly stared forward. You greeted her like normal, but Jessie was fidgety and gave monosyllabic answers. You eventually congratulated her on the game. Despite Jessie's less than stellar performance, the team still won. Jessie guffawed and felt heat ascending on her face. She shuffled in her seat and claimed she didn't know you'd attended the game. Despite her aloofness, you were still very complimentary.
Thankfully, in future games Jessie was more like herself. But she'd be lying if she said she wasn't nervous every time you showed up. She just never wanted to make a fool of herself in front of you.
This time, however, as the first whistle blew, Jessie charged forward, immediately winning possession and sending a long through ball past an unsuspecting defensive line for Sophia to chase down. A strong start for Jessie, followed by well-timed tackles, solid passes, deft footwork and by the end of the game - an assist. She was subbed out in the final 15 minutes, but she felt great about her performance.
After the final whistle and a 2-0 result, the team walked the pitch greeting and thanking the fans. Jessie walked along with her teammates, clapping along with the fans and waving periodically when Janine ran up next to her, nudging her with her shoulder as she did so.
"Okay, so where is she? Oh, and congrats. You put on a bit of a clinic today, so I'm sure she'll be very impressed."
Jessie rolled her eyes and sighed in exasperation.
"You're not going to be able to see her anyway. And who knows, maybe she left already."
"Another point against her," Janine joked, ignoring the look Jessie shot her.
Jessie was about to prep a rebuttal when her eyes fell upon you. You were hanging back behind the fans who had clamoured down to the barriers and were reaching over with gear to sign. While her pulse quickened at the sight of you, an uncomfortable pit formed in her stomach when she saw you leaning in and whispering to the girl you were with. Jessie quickly shook out her head in a vain attempt to rid herself of this nagging - and totally unwarranted - jealousy.
"Wait - which one is she," Janine asked, urgency in her voice as she started pushing into Jessie to try and gauge where she was looking.
"Oh for goodness sake," Jessie muttered, though grateful for the distraction. She sighed, but described you to Janine and gestured vaguely. As she did so, you looked her way and you caught one another's eye. Jessie swallowed her discomfort and gave you a wave with a half smile, which you returned with a bright smile and an enthusiastic wave.
"Oh," Janine said flatly. "So that's why you like her."
"What?" Jessie asked, her voice suddenly high in question.
"Well, I don't play for the same team as you, but, she's a looker. I'll give you that." She gave a brief eye roll a moment later as she relented further. "And I guess she's gotta be smart, too."
"I don't like her, Janine," Jessie said through nearly gritted teeth. "Not that like anymore. She's just an old friend."
"Well, I'd like to talk with this 'old friend' of yours," Janine said, and before Jessie could react to the glint she caught in Janine's eye, the blonde was up on her tip toes and waving you down, insisting for you to come down to the pitch. You hesitated, but, standard Janine, she was very persistent. You looked to Jessie for direction and though Jessie wanted to just get swallowed up by the ground over this whole display, she channeled her energy and instead gave you an easy nod and waved you down as well.
It took every ounce of effort for Jessie to retain her composure as you descended the steps and found an opening in the crowd.
"So what's the verdict?" Jessie asked as you came up to one another at the barrier. Her eyes flicked momentarily back to your friend who stood behind you. "More or less entertaining than a Bruins game?"
You chuckled, a wide smile forming on your face and Jessie unknowingly smiled back.
"Well I don’t want to say anything negative about your Bruins days. I had fun - I know you don't believe me, but I did. That said, a game in front of like 25,000 fans is pretty spectacular. The energy in here was crazy." You gave a facetious roll of your eyes and tacked on with a smirk, "And I guess you played alright, too."
Jessie was about to riff off of your comment when Janine stepped forward and extended her hand.
"Hey, you must be Y/N. My name is Janine - nice to meet you," she said with a polite smile. You readily shook her hand.
"It's so nice to finally meet you. Jessie's always talked so highly of you."
"Ah," Janine said as she gave Jessie a lingering look before smiling back. "Jessie's always talked very highly of you, too."
You blushed slightly as you pulled a slight face, shifting your gaze to Jessie.
"That is much too generous of her," you said. "I would've expected her to talk more about how annoying I could be during study sessions."
"Nobody could be more annoying than Janine when I was trying to study," Jessie swiftly cut in. She ignored the affronted look the blonde shot her. Jessie looked back at you and quickly added, "Not that I thought you were annoying. You were one of the only people in my life that took studying seriously." Jessie took a breath and offered your companion a tight smile.
"You must be…"
"Oh!" You said as you turned on the spot. "Oh, I'm so sorry. This is my friend [y/friend's name]. She's actually been asking me to come to a Thorns game for a while, so - it finally worked out."
"Oh really?" Jessie asked, feeling annoyingly uneasy before remembering her manners. "Oh, and I'm Jessie. Nice to meet you."
"Very polite of you to introduce yourself even though you're famous," [y/friend] said with a laugh. "It's nice to meet you, too. I'm a fan of both of you and am stoked that you're playing for Portland these days. Imagine my surprise when y/n just casually drops that she got a personal invite from Jessie Fleming herself. I didn't believe her until she showed me a picture of you two from university."
Now Jessie did blush, brushing her hair back with her hand. Oh. A friend. And legitimately seemed like just a friend. She inwardly scolded herself for getting so worked up.
"Well, it sounds like we should all grab a drink or something together. Are you free tonight? I'd love to get to know you both better," Janine said with her most charming smile. You and Jessie shared a look.
"Uh, I mean, you mentioned a drink," you said as you gestured to Jessie. "So - I'm up for it if you are."
She'd really been hoping more for a drink one on one, but she supposed she'd have to adapt. She gave a casual shrug.
"Yeah, sounds good."
-----
"Another round?"
Conversation halted as the four of you looked to the server. You were the first to reply.
"Sure, I'll have another. Can I grab the pilsner this time?"
"I'll have another, too." Y/friend jumped in. "Same as before."
"Sure thing. Anyone else?"
Janine waved her off, but Jessie's eyes darted around the table as she debated what to do. A second round wasn't usually her go-to, and frankly, could be slightly dangerous territory when it came to her inhibitions. If you were anything like you were back in university, a second round wouldn't affect you much at all. Still, much like years before, Jessie felt the need to keep up.
"Sure, I'll have another."
"You got it. Be right back."
"So, Y/N, I think we must compare notes. Tell me what Jessie was like in university. I mean, I have my stories from camp and competition days, but I don't know UCLA Jessie," Janine said, leaning in conspiratorially.
"Oh come on, you two," Jessie complained pre-emptively with a roll of her head.
"Hey, why are you calling me out?" You asked, tone rising. "I didn't even agree." You dropped the offended act and leaned in mimicking Janine. "But of course we have to compare notes."
Janine clapped her hands in victory and sat back expectantly.
"You know what," you started as you reached into your pocket to retrieve your phone and started going through it, "after we ran into each other. I went through some old photos and look what I found."
"Oh sweet God," Jessie muttered as she sunk low in her seat and brought a hand up to cover her face.
You turned your phone around and held it out for Jessie first, though Janine immediately leaned right in. The second she saw the photo, Jessie's face began to burn with embarrassment.
"Delete." She shook her head, averting her eyes from the photo. "Get rid of it."
"Come on!" You protested as you drew the phone back. You looked down at the photo of Jessie kneeling in her UCLA blues with an upside down visor on her head looking comically serious.
"Gangster." Janine said with a laugh.
"Well, I thought you looked cute," you said primly. You were flipping to another photo and missed the look Jessie and Janine shared. "'Kay, how about this?" You held out your phone again, this time showing Jessie sporting a water gun at a campus party.
"Again. Delete!" Jessie said, hiding her face further, but now had to laugh.
"You were so sweet," you said. "You were taking that water fight very seriously, but you mercifully didn't shoot me. Which - thank you - cause I was getting rocked already." You gave her a smirk. "In fact, I think you even stopped a shot or two for me."
Jessie arched an eyebrow and gave a light shrug. "Maybe."
A moment later you started laughing, pulling a confused look out of the rest of the table. You waved apologetically. "Sorry - I just remembered. You blasted [y/ex] in the face so bad she was choking for like 5 minutes after. I guess that's not funny, but it kind of was."
Jessie blushed. "Oh yeah. I forgot about that. It just kind of happened - I felt bad after." She certainly didn't forget. And it certainly wasn't an accident. Though she did feel slightly bad.
"Oh, and I showed you this," you said to y/friend before turning the phone to Jessie and Janine again. "This is my favourite picture of us. Do you remember that day?"
Jessie took in the photo of the two of you sitting on the wall at the beach with your backs to the ocean at sunset. You were flush against one another, an arm around each other and your head was leaned against hers.
Jessie remembered this picture well. She'd looked at it many, too many, times. It had been one of her favourites too. Looking at it brought a wave of melancholy over her though. While she loved it, it brought her right back to when she'd stare at photos of you in the dark of her dorm or hotel room and think about the relationship she wished she had with you.
"Yeah, I remember. That was a good night," she said simply with a small smile.
"We were the last ones left around the bonfire that night," you recollected. "And you walked me back to my dorm - gosh, it had to be what, like 3 am by then."
"Yeah, I remember your girlfriend getting pissed with you about it, too," Jessie said without thinking.
Your smile faded slightly, though you held Jessie's gaze. You eventually gave a nod.
"Yeah, I remember that too." You scoffed lightly as you took a sip of your drink. "I can say this now - enough time has passed - my girlfriends always had an issue with you. Which should've been my immediate red flag for each of them. Because anyone who doesn't like you is problematic."
Janine leaned in without skipping a beat. "Okay, you can't just leave it at that. Tell me more. And yes - you're right - major red flags."
This time you were the one to blush. You fiddled with the glass a bit before shrugging, your eyes drifting to the TV in the corner of the establishment.
"I-I don't know," you stammered. "They were just insecure, I guess."
This made Jessie's ears perk up and she frowned deeply at you. Your face burned hotter as you felt the table's eyes on you.
"What?" You dismissed with a shrug and a light wave of your hand. "Is that so shocking? I mean, you and I were close. And we hung out a lot. And hello - co-captain," you shot her a momentarily teasing look, "of the soccer team, Dean's list, Olympic athlete, very charming, etc., the list goes on. Of course they were threatened."
Jessie finished a large swig of her drink, setting down the pint glass more heavily than intended on the table. Her face screwed up as she said, "That's the silliest thing I've ever heard."
Why would they have ever been jealous of her. They were the lucky ones. It was their bed you might climb into at night, their lips you would kiss and their hands you would hold.
"Jessie!" You laughed, leaning into the table again. "You are too humble for your own good. I told you. You had a lot of appeal."
"Well, not enough," Jessie muttered as she took another sip and raised her eyebrows, her gaze travelling over to Janine who was watching her tentatively. The blonde cleared her throat.
"So what I'm hearing is that UCLA Jessie wasn't all that different than national camp Jessie - just with marginally more debauchery," she interjected, diffusing any mounting tension.
It took you a moment, but you offered her a smile of agreement.
"Seems that way." A beat passed and you offered Jessie another smile. "Do you have any pictures from back then? You always had your camera out."
Your question broke Jessie out of her spiral. She wracked her brain momentarily for a response.
"Uh, no. I lost a lot of my old photos."
In reality, she deleted and threw out all of her pictures of you. All except one. It was that night at the beach, there was a moment of comfortable silence between you two and the last rays of sunlight were dipping below the horizon. You were looking out onto the sea, looking so peaceful and just so beautiful. That was her favourite photo of you.
Even when, one night in London, when she got home from a team outing and you had been on her mind all evening despite the fact that you hadn't texted her back in days; when she finally decided to put an end to this pointless and hopeless pining, she couldn't bring herself to delete that one photo.
Jessie ignored the flash of hurt that crossed your face.
"That's too bad," you said with a half smile. Jessie returned it and the mood at the table took a palpable dip. A few moments of quiet passed.
"Well, you two are in the same city again. You can take new ones together," y/friend offered brightly. You gave a light chuckle.
"I guess that depends on if you're too famous for me." You gave Jessie a smirk. Jessie was still in her head, until Janine nudged her under the table. She took a sip of her drink .
"Well, my schedule's pretty packed," Jessie said with a smirk of her own. The alcohol made it feel like she was on auto-pilot. She sat back and gave you a wink. "But I can make time for you."
You seemed caught off guard and gave a slightly awkward laugh though your cheeks blushed pink. You spoke somewhat wryly, "Well thank you."
Jessie cleared her throat and sat forward in her seat again, speaking earnestly this time. "No, seriously. Of course I'm not too famous to spend time with you. Now that's the silliest thing I've ever heard."
You propped an elbow on the table and rest your chin in your raised palm.
"Well, I look forward to making some new memories together."
Jessie held up her glass to you.
"Deal."

you could feel eyes on you. specifically the eyes of xavier thorpe.
you and him had this little thing going on for a few months. constant flirting, teasing, staring.
but it hadn’t gone more then that, much to xavier’s dismay.
he needed you so badly to the point where you were all he could think about.
and you knew it.
with your telepathic mind power, you were well aware of xavier’s thoughts.
they especially occurred at night time.
in the long hours of the night, it would keep you awake. you knew you were constantly in xavier’s dreams.
and you would be lying if you said you didn’t touch yourself to his thoughts.
the way he thought so highly of you turned you on every time.
tonight was no other.
xavier stared at you as you laughed with your friends. there had been a secret party down at an abandoned greenhouse that was on the edge of nevermore.
you kept glancing up and meeting xavier’s eyes as he talked to ajax. it felt like a magnetic pull was drawing you towards xavier.
and when you had such a strong feeling like that, sometimes you couldn’t control your power.
she looks so pretty… fuck. i need her so bad.
you could practically hear the begging in xavier’s inner voice. your eyes went wide and you immediately looked away, your face growing warm.
“you okay, y/n?” enid asked.
you nodded.
you were dressed in a sleek dress with a coat to keep you warm from the chilly night.
your legs were covered in goosebumps as xavier’s thoughts kept clouding your mind.
i need her to fuck me. i need her so bad.
it was like he was sending subliminal messages to you and making you purposely read his mind.
he was driving you insane to the point where your own core began to throb.
“i think i need some air.”
you quickly walked away from a concerned enid and yoko. you stood outside of the greenhouse, standing under a tree as you sucked in deep breaths.
“you okay, y/n?” a voice spoke up next to you. you turned around to see xavier standing there, his hands in his coat pockets.
“just needed some air.”
“you seem a little flustered, y/n. what’s on your pretty mind?”
you stared at the boy and bit your lip.
“or, what’s on someone else’s mind that you’ve read?” xavier joked.
“you.”
xavier looked at you in embarrassment, his face going bright red as he rubbed his neck in shame.
“i’m sorry-“
“it made me extremely fucking horny, xavier.”
xavier felt his dick twitch in his jeans.
“can we just- can we just get out of here?”
you didn’t know where the boldness was coming from. maybe it was the fact that you were so turned on and xavier was really fucking hot.
➽─────────────────❥
you barely made it through the door of xavier’s dorm before you two started making out.
xavier was kissing you hungrily, like he couldn’t live without kissing you.
you were laid down on xavier’s bed as he hovered over you. his warm hand trailed up your thigh and it lifted the material of your dress.
your clit was aching with need and all you wanted was to fuck xavier.
“is this okay?” xavier asked as he began to tug on the waistband of your underwear.
“please, xavier.”
he began to kiss down your neck as his fingers finally made contact with your soaking pussy. you bucked into his hand, needing some sort of friction.
you whimpered against xavier, your excitement clouding your judgement and xavier’s minds flooding your head.
i cannot believe she’s in my bed right now. i’m so fucking turned on, i need her to fuck me so bad.
“oh my god-“
some primal instinct finally got the best of you and you flipped xavier over. he was shocked as you slipped off his shirt, your dress quickly following.
“y/n-“
“you wanna be so fucking needy, huh? just constantly thinking about me fucking you?”
xavier was leaking pre cum all over himself as you finally pulled off his briefs. he was about 7 inches in length with some trimmed pubic hair at the base.
the sight was enough to make you drool, but that was going to have to wait. you needed him inside of you.
“i’ve wanted you so bad, y/n.”
“i know. it drives me fucking insane, knowing how badly you need me. how badly you crave me.”
“please fuck me- baby, please.”
his new pet name was enough to make you start grinding on xavier’s cock. his pre cum mixed into your wetness and created the perfect slick as you ground faster.
xavier reached up to unclip your bra as you pleasured yourself on his cock. he could feel your clit rubbing against his tip and it was driving him to insanity.
“beg for it, xavier.”
“please- please fuck me, y/n. please, you know how badly i’ve wanted you. please, mommy.”
“so fucking bad, xavier.”
you grabbed his cock and slid it gently into your pussy. the new feeling was excruciating to the both of you.
“how would your little friends feel if they saw how much of a needy slut you are, xavier?”
you began to bounce up and down on his cock as he twitched inside of you.
“oh? does that turn you on baby? you like the idea of me fucking you in front of people?”
“please- please-“ xavier didn’t even know what he was begging for.
you were making him feel amazing, the pure bliss washing over his whole body. his thumb began making circles on your hard clit, his hips bucking up into yours.
“mommy, feels so good.”
“hmm i know, baby.”
you continued to bounce and grind on his throbbing cock. xavier’s eyes rolled back in ecstasy as you scratched your nails down his chest.
“i’m gonna cum-“
“hold it.”
“y/n, please.”
“i said hold it. be a good boy for me, baby:”
desperate for release, xavier grabbed your waist and began to fuck up into you. he leaned up, his face in your tits as he sucked on your nipple.
“oh my god-“ you moaned loudly as his tip hit your g-spot repeatedly.
“you’re gonna make me fucking cum, xavier.” you pulled on his hair as you met his hips with the thrusts.
when xavier felt your pussy clench around him, he couldn’t help but release. his cum spurted inside of you, mixing together as your body spasmed on top of xavier.
after a couple minutes, xavier continued to hold you against him. cum was now starting to leak out of your cunt and you listened to xavier’s heartbeat.
“i’ve liked you for a really long time, y/n.”
“i’ve liked you too, xavier.”
xavier grinned, pressing kisses to your head. “will you allow me to be your boyfriend?”
you smiled against his bare chest.
“yes, baby.”

💌
supervisor!simon
You lied down, cooling off from all of the random shit you were doing, so rearranging your living room, dusting things, potting plants, playing with the stray that is always outside eating its food.
You get a notification on your phone, you look to read and It’s from johnny.
“What the fuck?”
“You busy?” the text message read, You sure weren’t!
You get up and stroll, You think about your response standing in the middle of your kitchen. “Uh no? Lol” You send the message and proceed to set your phone on the kitchen counter. But before you do, Johnny’s caller ID pops up on your screen.
You let out a groan, you hated when people did that. “Hello,” you answer it, sounding as cheery as you can. “Hey,” he says and you say hey back.
“What’s up?” you ask, itching your head out of confusion,”Just wanted to call.” You can hear him shrugging on the other end of the phone. “Well that’s nice of you,” You state, it comes out more like a question. “Can I ask why?”
“I was thinking about our conversation earlier,” he says, you bite your lip in thought, “What about the conversation?”
It was pretty straightforward, one day you and simon couldn’t stand each other, johnny gets hired, he flirts with you here and there, he makes weird jokes about how weird simon is, takes you on a date, that is a date but it’s not a date, so he wants you to have redo. Sounds as straightforward as it gets.
“You liked me then ?” Johnny says on the other line, You let out a huff, “I did.” admitting it out loud made your chest hurt. It sounded bad to say. “Is he there?” He asks, “No,” You say, and look around your apartment. Johnny sucks in a breath, “You okay?” you ask in return, “I’m alright,” he says. “Can I ask why you’re calling?” You shift on your right leg, “I really don’t know.” he chuckles. “Okay,” you let out a breathy laugh, “The dinner meant a lot to me if that’s what you want to know.” you share. Johnny lets out a breath. “I did want to know.” He answers, “I know you did,” you state.
“Simon really does it for you,” he chuckles again, “Maybe,” You think about Simon for a second, and remember the text message you sent, you pull your phone away from your face and scroll to your messages, the text saying delivered under its green hue.
You put the phone back to your ear, “He’s a good guy, It just was a misunderstanding on both parts.” You inform him. “A misunderstanding.” He repeats, “Never thought about it that way.”
“I didn’t either,” you exhale, grabbing a glass from your cupboard. “Seems like he treats you well?”
Even though you two weren’t together and there was a very big chance that You and Johnny wouldn’t ever be together, From the day you saw him standing next to johnny. Simon's presence just loomed over you. The need to be around him all the time sometimes engulfs you. He's so caring and attentive and he listens most of the time. Of course you were sick in love, stressing when he wouldn’t talk to you, it’s like putting you under a spell.   “Hey, I’m gonna call you back,” You announce, “That’s alright.” he assures you, “Talk to you soon?”
“Yeah, sure.” You hang up. Still no response from Simon. You text him again asking if he was okay, or if he needed anything.
And on your end, still no response.
-
The whole weekend you and Simon barely spoke, you’d send a message and he’d read it 6 or 7 hours later. You played phone tag with him, hoping to catch him at some point but eventually you turned yourself in and went to sleep waiting for a response.
Monday you walk into the office, Simon in a random chair rolling around. Joking with Victor, who’s all of a sudden very funny. You ignore everyone’s good morning’s and hello’s. You bolt past him and head to the break room and see a very cheery Johnny chatting Linda up.
“And she’s just the cutest you’d love her,” Linda says while showing him her phone. A cute girl on her screen, You fill up your water bottle and roll your eyes, walking past them without saying excuse me.“What’s the matter?” he creeps up behind you, massaging your shoulders, You squirm away from him. “You okay?” he asks, “I’m fine.” You mumble. “You Sure,” he prods, trying to be funny, “I kinda just want to be alone .” You look at him, he backs off, and goes back to whatever he’s doing.
The day went exactly like that, Simon not paying attention, Johnny being a kiss ass, both of the men making your ass itch, profusely (there was no other way to describe it, sorry!). You packed up your stuff quickly, making a quick exit. Ignoring Simon's attempts at getting your attention. You get i
When you unlock the door, you can see your reflection in the sliding glass door. You look exhausted. You drop your bag on the floor, and take your clothes off and get in the shower, once you get out, you open the clock app, and check the time from back home. You slide into bed and get comfortable, your legs and arms feeling a bit heavy from today's emotions.
You go to your contacts, and click on your moms, It rang and then it stopped, your moms voice on the other end, “Hello?” She answers just like you, “Hi mom,” you breathe, holding back your tears, “Hey babY!’ She says overly excited, a small sad smile forming on your face, “Hi Mom,” your voice breaks, “What’s the matter?” she says picking up on the tone of your voice. “It’s nothing,” you sniffle, “Where’s dad?” you ask immediately, “where he’s always at.” She chuckles, “You know I was just talking about you today?”
“Oh god,” you chuckle nervously, “All good things I hope.” You cross your fingers, “I’m not that much of a gossiper,” she giggles. You smile at the smile of her laughter, missing waking up in your childhood bedroom, watching your parents in the kitchen and your siblings running around and terrorizing each other. You get another call, cutting your mothers sentence in half, “Hold on mom, someone else is calling,” You announce pulling the phone from your face.
Simon’s contact on your screen, You let out a sigh and you can hear your mom’s “oh lord.” from the phone's speaker, “Mom, I’m gonna call you back okay?” You say, “That’s fine, I gotta get to bed anyway,” She shares, “I’ll call you tomorrow?” You ask, “Sounds good.”
“Bye mom, I love you.” You tell her, “I love you too.” She says before clicking off the call.
You call Simon back. “Hey,” his deep voice answers. “hi.” you answer back, “What was going on today?” He says, worried. You let out a big sigh, “I don’t know.” Irritation in your voice. “You sound mad,” He chuckles, “I’m not.” you mumble.
You weren’t mad, just disappointed, not that you didn’t run errands with him or that he didn’t text you all day, or that he didn’t care that you missed him or also because he didn’t check on you. But because you know the lengths you would go, to just be near him. Which was embarrassing on your end.
“You sound pissed,” He bothers and you roll your eyes. “Is this what you called for?” You snap. “Partially, but I called to see if I could come over.” He states. “It’s whatever.” you mumble before clicking off the call.
Simon immediately calls back, you let out a loud grunt, “So is that a yes or a no?” He asks, “It means whatever, come if you want, don’t if you don’t.” You press the glowing red button again, Shutting your phone off. Throwing it somewhere on the bed. 20 minutes later, you can hear Simon's loud police-like knocks. You groan and get out of bed. Making your way to the front door you shut off all the lights that were still from when you entered your apartment.
When you open the door you see Simon in his gym clothes with a nice packed bag hanging off his shoulder. Immediately reaching to touch your forehead, You swat his hand away, “im fine” you move out of the doors way letting him in. He follows behind, taking note of the way your shoulders slump, your aura is off.
“I’m gonna take a quick shower.” He announces, you nod, and slide back into your bed, waiting for him to get out of the bathroom. When he does he’s just in his underwear, you watch him walk towards your bed, his thick legs taking long strides towards you, finally, landing on the bed next to you. You’re both quiet, he wraps his arms around your waist.
“Can I ask something,” He says hesitantly, “what?” you yawn, “When was the last time you got your period?” You pull away from him, “Why?” you ask concerned, “just answer the question,”
“Let me check my phone,” You search for it frantically, this couldn’t be right. it won’t be. Simon searches also, finding it in the sheets he then hands it to you, “Here,” he says softly, watching you intently.
You scroll on your screen going to your tracking app, “when was the last time we had sex?” You ask, scrolling up and down the calendars logged with red drops. “Like a week ago.” You let out a weird noise, something between a groan and whimper. Anxiety hits your stomach immediately. You scroll down, and as if life couldn’t have a more sick game in mind, the calendar for last month wasn’t logged.
No red drops, no symptoms. You’re quiet, and Simon grabs the phone from your hands, He scrolls up and down, “What does this mean?” He asks, still scrolling. “I didn’t log my period,” you answer, Simon sucks in a breath, rubbing his hand over his face, “When did we first start?”
“Like over a month ago, I don’t know,” You say frustrated, “Don’t get frustrated,” He starts, “I’m not,” you snap again, “I’m thinking,” You huff. “My cycle probably changed or something,” You try and soothe yourself.
Maybe that could explain the weird behavior, the need to be around him, how sleepy and snappy you are. The headaches, the irritation. No. It doesn’t.
You sit with your legs crossed, “This is just fucking great.” You huff.

╰─▸❝ how falling in love with sunghoon felt like ❞
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing sunghoon x gn! reader ୨୧ genre fluff, a lil bit of angst ୨୧ warnings profanity, sunghoon being stupid, hurting reader, sunghoon being jealous ୨୧ wc: 2k
before he first saw you enter the dorm an hour before their movie night, he didn’t believe in love at first sight. he only dreamed about something like this, but honestly, it wasn’t his cup of tea.
he just thought you were attractive; he didn’t see you as a potential lover or date.
during your first interactions, he was cold, even mean? you were just confused about why and what you did to him.
but honestly, it was just him denying that he might be falling for you.
after a couple more meetings with you and other guys, he finally realised that maybe you’re not that bad. after all, his friends trust you, and they like you.
but it didn’t change the fact that he kept his distance; he was nicer but still cold towards you.
one night, he just straight up came up to jungwon and started asking questions about you. after all, jungwon was the closest one to you. he asked, when’s your birthday? what’s your favourite colour? if you have any pets, what are their names? what are your hobbies? what’s your job? he literally bombarded jungwon with questions.
the next meeting was different; it seemed like sunghoon was finally friendly towards you. since then, you have grown closer to him, with him finally opening up to you.
but sunghoon was all pull and push, as you guys had the most emotional and deep conversation one night, talking about your childhood, future, how hard this year was, and everything that was on your hearts.
the next day, sunghoon didn’t answer any of your texts, and you wondered if you said something wrong. after sending more than twenty messages, he just replied, "i need time, leave me alone."
and back then, you didn’t understand.
but now you know that sunghoon was just scared. the thought of opening his heart to someone absolutely terrifies him, and when he realised that talking to you about his worries lifted a lot of weight from his shoulders, how good you are at giving advice, and just how comfortable he was at the moment, he just panicked. he didn’t want you to hurt him, so he distanced himself, not knowing if it was safe to leave his safe space.
it took him a few days to talk to you again, and he changed again. he felt uncomfortable near you; he was quiet again, and it hurt you so much.
he decided to kind of "friend zone" you?? maybe he realised that it would be better to keep you in his life as a friend only.
what he didn’t realise was that it made him fall in love even more. seeing how heeseung made you laugh, how cuddly you were with sunoo and jungwon, how cute you looked when niki teased you, how you helped jay in the kitchen and talked with him about music, and how comfortable you were next to jake.
he kept asking himself why you wouldn’t be with him like that, but he knew the answer: it was because he didn’t allow you to.
at this point, everyone knew that sunghoon was in love with you. you were the only one who didn’t know. you even kept asking yourself, "does he really hate me that much?"
after the rest of enha was sick and tired of you two being complete idiots, they arranged a "date" for you.
"yeah, me and niki are practicing tonight; we can’t." jake said, wrapping his arm around niki’s shoulders. jungwon had to lightly hit niki when he protested; the kid was clearly so clueless.
"i have a photoshoot with sunoo, jay has to record a cover." jungwon kept explaining
"and i simply don’t want to watch movies with y’all" suddenly heeseung spoke and you just stood there, almost flabbergasted.
sunghoon didn’t speak; he just nodded his head.
the movie night was SO awkward. usually you just chatted with jake or messed around with niki, but now you just quietly sat on the couch, watching how sunghoon scrolled through netflix.
you both decided to just watch something random, and as sunghoon clicked the button that showed a random movie, you both sighed, seeing as some horror movie popped up.
sunghoon and you were both scary cats; the movie ended up with you hugging each other for dear life. both of you screamed multiple times, and once sunghoon even spilled his drink on you.
"wait, wait. i’m so sorry, y/n. let me wipe that for you," and he rushed to grab the paper towels. he quickly tried to make the stain disappear.
"sunghoon~" you whined, "i have to go back home in this."
and as you finished, sunghoon disappeared, running to his room. he grabbed the prettiest and nicest shirt he had and came back to you.
"here, wear this. i’m so sorry about your shirt. you can go change and leave this shirt here. i’ll wash it and give it back to you."
you accepted the shirt and stood up, leaving to change in the bathroom. sunghoon's shirt was big, but not too big. it looked like one of your oversized t-shirts.
when you came back, he couldn’t stop staring, just admiring how nice you looked in his clothes. you raised your eyebrow at him as he kept looking. tilting your head in confusion was enough for him to panic.
"you look good!" he spoke, awkward laughter leaving his mouth right after "i mean! the shirt looks nice on you."
you smiled, looking at the blush appearing on his ears and cheeks. you said a quiet thank you and went back to the movie.
the next one wasn’t so awkward; sunghoon kept commenting on the plot, characters, and basically everything that was happening.
you laughed at his jokes, making his heart beat faster.
during the third movie, sunghoon became flirty towards you??? you were so confused when he suddenly moved his arm and wrapped it around you, his hand now resting on your shoulder.
you looked at him, and he just smiled, "what? what’s wrong with hugging your best friend?"
after that, sunghoon became distant, and you were confused again, but somehow you understood, maybe even got used to it. few days later, enha had to leave for the tour, and that saved sunghoon’s life.
he thought a lot, always zoning out and thinking about you. he "interviews" jungwon again after realising, as well as jake and jay and even niki. everyone was happy to hear that he finally realised his feelings towards you; only niki was confused.
sunghoon and niki shared a room in the hotel, and when niki suddenly spoke, when sunghoon was lying on his bed.
"why are you so sad, hyung?"
"y/n."
"huh? what’s wrong with them?"
"honestly? nothing. it pisses me off; they are so perfect. like, did you know their favourite band is the same as mine? they like the same colours, and when i asked them if they wanted to be pirate or mermaid they answered with what i wanted to hear. they were also interested in ice skating, and it's just so frustrating, i cant help but be in love with them- wait- oh my god. im in love with y/n"
silence filled the room, as niki just stared at sunghoon, who was also staring at the wall at the moment, his thoughts being a complete mess as he zooned out again, pure shock on his face.
"you’re so weird, hyung"
after coming back from the tour, sunghoon was so nervous to see you again. jealousy pierced through his heart when he saw you hugging everyone and telling them how much you missed them.
he becomes distant again, but this time for a different reason: he wants to be open with you; he plans how to confess to you.
few days later, he sits in his family house, preparing dinner with his mom, while his sister is in the living room, doing something on her phone.
"i just don’t know, mom, he whines to his parent, cutting the carrots.
"like, i realised, it took me a while, and i feel like i took way too long. i like them, mom. i like them so much, my heart literally hurts whenever i see them with heeseung or jungwon."
he didn't notice his sister coming to the kitchen to grab something to drink.
"hoonie, if they're the one, just tell them. tell them you like them; they probably like you too."
sunghoon’s sister's eyes widen.
"sunghoon likes someone?"
and then he explained everything to her younger sister, not expecting her to scold him.
"YOU FUCKING DUMBASS, STOP PLAYING WITH THEM!!!! GET YOUR SHIT STRAIGHT!!!! ASK THEM OUT!!!!"
"park yeji! no cursing in this house!" their mom scolded her.
but it was like a wake-up call for sunghoon.
after coming back to the dorms, he lays down on his bed and puts his headphones on, literally blasting antiromantic by txt, thinking of a way to tell you about his feelings.
It's essential to mention that he really looped this song for days; even his own members started to hate it as they almost 24/7 heard it from his room.
he finally grabs his phone and texts the group chat with you:
"movie night tomorrow?"
as everyone agrees, he just waits for your answer.
when you also agreed, he almost jumps out of bed in happiness.
now standing in front of the mirror, sunghoon talks to himself.
"y/n listen. im in love with you." he repeats in different tones at different volumes, and heeseung just laughs at him, secretly recording him.
when you finally arrive, sunghoon yet again feels this awful feeling of jealousy. during the second movie, everyone takes a break. some of them going to the bathroom, some refilling the drinks, some just disappearing, knowing about sunghoon plans.
he nervously sits next to you, worrying about what to say, but you’re so clueless, just munching on the chips, your fingers covered in the chip dust. you were now licking them as you heard sunghoon clearing his throat.
"y/n" you hear, and you look at him, sunghoon panicking as you lock your eyes with his.
"i’m in love with you."
you choked, desperately trying to open the water bottle. after taking two big sips, your breath got unstable. now looking at sunghoon, who just looked terrified. you both didn’t know what to say.
jungwon and jay nervously and secretly looked from the kitchen as niki, jake and sunoo stood in the hallway, listening to your conversation. niki held jake’s hand for dear life, probably feeling more nervous than sunghoon.
"you what?" they finally heard your voice, jake quietly gasping. "you’re- you’re in love with me?"
"well, i didnt meant to just say it like that, but yeah."
another long silence had niki almost passing out.
"sunghoon, i thought you hated me."
this time jungwon gasped, maybe a little bit too loud, but you both were too focused on your conversation to notice.
"me? hate you? y/n i literally adore everything about you. you’re the definition of my type."
you were so shocked, so confused, but at the same time so happy.
"please, let me prove it for you, y/n. let me take you out for a date."
you smiled at him, agreeing.
"YES!" you heard niki screaming in the hallway.
you looked at sunghoon and you both burst out laughing.
after you guys confirmed to enhypen that you were dating, heeseung finally showed you the video of sunghoon talking to himself in the mirror. jungwon told you about the "interviews", jay with jake told you about him looping antiromantic and other songs about heartbreak, sunoo told you how sunghoon always asked him if he looked good and if you would like his outfit, and niki literally thanked you on his knees that you agreed to date him, saying that finally he doesn’t have to hear sunghoon whining about how you would never like him back.

Good Omen's problem with having two canons
They're fundamentally different. That's the problem. That's my point.
For quite a while I focused almost exclusively on the new season of Good Omens, but now I am slowly delving into analysis that takes the entire show into account, and I've encountered a little obstacle. Namely, things from S1 can be really tricky to interpret.
Fair warning: this post is going to zig-zag between various points but I want you to trust me and take this scenic route with me. It will take us somewhere eventually, I promise.
The Arrangement
It's one of the core elements in the Good Omens universe and at the same time a perfect example of the issue I want to discuss. So let's have a closer look together.
In the book, the Arrangement is presented to us in two passages:
the first one, where it is first - very briefly - mentioned:
Aziraphale had tried to explain [free will] to him once. The whole point, he'd said - this was somewhere around 1020, when they'd first reached their little Arrangement - the whole point was that when a human was good or bad it was because they wanted to be.
and the second one, where it is properly introduced and explained:
The Arrangement was very simple, so simple in fact, that it didn't really deserve the capital letter, which it had got for simply being in existence for so long. It was the sort of sensible arrangement that many isolated agents, working in awkward conditions a long way from their superiors, reach with their opposite number when they realize they have more in common with their immediate opponents than their remote allies. It meant a tacit non-interference in certain of each other's activities. It made certain that while neither really won, also neither really lost, and both were able to demonstrate to their masters the great strides they were making against a cunning and well-informed adversary. (...) And then, of course, it had seemed even natural that they should, as it were, hold the fort for one another whenever common sense dictated. Both were of angel stock, after all. If one was going to Hull for a quick temptation, it made sense to nip across the city and carry out a standard brief moment of divine ecstasy. It'd get done anyway, and being sensible about it gave everyone more free time and cut down on expenses.
In the show, the Arrangement is presented to us in two original scenes in the cold opening of S1E3:
(I am quoting most relevant dialogues only)
537 AD, Wessex:
C: So we're both working very hard in damp places and just canceling each other out? A: Well, you could put it like that. It is a bit damp. C: Be easier if we both stayed home. If we just send messages back to our head offices saying we'd done everything they'd asked for, wouldn't it? A: But that would be lying. C: Eh, possibly, but the end result would be the same. Cancel each other out. A: But my dear fellow... well, they'd check. Michael's a bit of a stickler. You don't want to get Gabriel upset with you. C: Oh, our lot have better things to do than verifying compliance reports from Earth. As long as they get paperwork they seem happy enough. As long as you're being seen doing something every now and again. A: No! Absolutely not! I am shocked that you would even imply such a thing. We're not having that conversation, not another word!
1601 AD, The Globe Theatre:
A: I have to be in Edinburgh at the end of the week. A couple of blessings to do. A minor miracle to perform. (...) C: I'm meant to be heading to Edinburgh too this week. Tempting a clan leader to steal some cattle. A: Doesn't sound like hard work. C: That's why I thought we should... Well, bit of a waste of effort, both of us going all the way to Scotland. A: You cannot actually be suggesting what I infer that you are implying. C: Which is? A: That just one of us goes to Edingburgh, does both. The blessing and the tempting. C: We've done it before. Dozens of times now. The Arrangement- A: Don't say that! C: Our respective offices don't actually care how things get done. They just want to know they can cross it off the list.
S2 doesn't actually reference the Arrangement. But it does reuse the dialogue about free will where the 1020 date is dropped. We will get back to it.
The challenge of adapting Good Omens
Good Omens shares a certain characteristic with all of Terry Pratchett's solo books I've read - it couldn't care less about "showing instead of telling". Which I love, just to be clear. A book is a written medium. It's made with words and one of words' major strengths is that you can use them to just tell things point blanc.
Good Omens does it a lot and it's fantastic.
Look at that second passage from the book I quoted earlier.
From just those few sentences we learn a lot about the relationships between:
Heaven and Hell (opponents and competition)
Aziraphale and Crowley (two individuals in the same position and in direct contact with each other)
Aziraphale/Crowley and Heaven/Hell (field agent and a remote HQ that are not in direct contact)
Aziraphale/Crowley and Earth (two individuals and a space they live in)
Heaven/Hell and Earth (a board where the game is played, only winning or losing matters, what actually happens on a board does not)
It's really an extra condensed worldbuilding gem sprinkled with humor, so it's no surprise it's become one of the most iconic passages from the book.
I mean, just browse through some interviews with David and Michael - especially the ones from 2019 - where they explain what Aziraphale and Crowley are about. You'll be hard-pressed to find any where they don't reference that specific paragraph, consciously or otherwise.
But it's only this neat on the pages of the book, where narration like this takes mere seconds to absorb. It's impossible to convey the same information in a visual medium with anywhere near the same efficiency.
The fact that the majority of Good Omens is like this was, in my opinion, a main challenge the adaptation faced. The book is very narration-heavy. It's full of fun facts about characters, side jokes, hilarious comments, etc. Some of that precious material was salvaged by introducing God as a narrator, but there was only so much of it you could squeeze into a TV show. The rest had to either be fit into dialogues or lost in translation from the written medium to the visual one.
Obviously, in the case of the Arrangement, it was the dialogues.
Book canon and show canon
We all know they're not the same. Neil Gaiman also pointed it out several times. But I think our mistake is that we still tend to think about them as complementary.
Look at the Arrangement again. The show canon seems to merely expand on the book canon. Add extra details and fill in the blanks. The Arrangement works the exact same way, except now we also know more about how it started.
If we compile what we know from the book with what we know from the show, we get a more detailed timeline:
Crowley first proposes the Arrangement in 537 (show).
The Arrangement starts in 1020 (book), ie. Aziraphale finally agrees to it (show - deduction); we don't know for sure if it's a "basic version" (not getting in each other's way), or a "full version" (doing each other's jobs) but we can assume it's the former.
In 1601 "full version" of the Arrangement is in place for some time (they've done it dozens of times) but Aziraphale still objects and needs convincing.
But read that description from a book once more.
Does it really fit into the version of events shown in the TV series?
The Arrangement in the book is something that just happened. A natural, and in a way inevitable result of Aziraphale and Crowley's circumstances. We are never told who came up with it first because it doesn't matter. Because it could have been either of them. Because after five millennia on Earth, they were both ready to do it. They were both of the same mind. For all we know it might have been an unspoken agreement all along!
But for the show, the creators had to come up with a good reason for the Arrangement to be discussed out loud. And what could be a more natural situation for someone to describe and explain an idea than trying to sell that idea to someone else?
For that practical reason - among many others, no doubt - the Arrangement is not only explicitly Crowley's idea, but an idea Aziraphale vehemently rejects at first. He needs to be convinced and even when he finally relents he's never entirely comfortable with it. He keeps objecting and it requires Crowley's constant effort for them to keep cooperating in any way.
The fact that Aziraphale is reluctant gives Crowley a perfect reason to keep convincing him ie. talk about the Arrangement. But the fact that he needs to explain and keep convincing Aziraphale means that Aziraphale is no longer a person who understands the same things and feels the same way.
That is a huge change.
Of course, you may say that what I've written about the Arrangement in the book is just my interpretation. It's true that technically there's nothing there that would contradict the events from the show in any way. The thing is, the events in the show aren't very compatible with the overall characterization of the ineffable duo in the book.
Evolution of Aziraphale and Crowley
You might have read that our leading pair was originally conceived as a single character that Neil and Terry eventually decided to split into two separate individuals.
My reaction when I first learned about it was: "Of course they were! That makes so much sense!" Because honestly, as a person who watched the show first and then read the book, I was surprised at how few differences there were between the two in the original text. If you squint your eyes really tight, you can see how book!Aziraphale and book!Crowley are two versions of the same character. They're far more similar than their show versions.
Most importantly, their attitudes toward Heaven and Hell are pretty much identical. Perfectly mirrored in every regard. What Hell is for Crowley, Heaven is for Aziraphale. What Hell is for Aziraphale, Heaven is for Crowley. In. Every. Possible. Way.
Allow me to present some evidence from the book.
Exhibit #1: the end of the scene where Crowley convinces Aziraphale to interfere with Warlock's upbringing
'You're saying the child isn't evil of itself?' he said slowly. 'Potentially evil. Potentially good too, I suppose. Just this huge powerful potentiality, waiting to be shaped,' said Crowley. He shrugged. 'Anyway, why're we talking about this good and evil? They're just names for sides. We know that.' 'I suppose it's got to be worth a try,' said the angel. Crowley nodded encouragingly. 'Agreed?' said the demon, holding out his hand. The angel shook it, cautiously. 'It'll certainly be more interesting than saints,' he said. 'And it'll be for the child's own good, in the long run,' said Crowley. (...)
When Crowley first points out that good and evil are just names for sides, and then insists it's something they both know, Aziraphale doesn't react in any way. That's because these aren't things that book!Aziraphale disagrees with. He does indeed know it and doesn't deny it.
Also, please note just how cynical the angel is here with his comment that influencing the Antichrist would be a more interesting project than influencing saints!
Both would be rather OOC for show!Aziraphale.
Exhibit #2: the scene just after Warlock Dowling's birthday party, when it becomes evident he is not the Antichrist
'You said it was him!' moaned Aziraphale (...) 'It was him,' said Crowley. (...) 'Then someone else must be interfering.' 'There isn't anyone else! There's just us, right? Good and Evil. One side or the other.' He thumped the steering wheel. 'You'll be amazed at the kind of things they can do to you, down there,' he said. 'I imagine they're very similar to the sort of things they can do to you up there,' said Aziraphale. 'Come off it. Your lot get ineffable mercy,' said Crowley sourly. 'Yes? Did you ever visit Gomorrah?' 'Sure' said the demon. 'There was this great little tavern where you could get these terrific fermented date-palm cocktails with nutmeg and crushed lemongrass-' 'I meant afterwards.' 'Oh.'
Can you imagine this kind of exchange in the TV series? Can you imagine show!Aziraphale being this realistic about Heaven, and show!Crowley so naive about it? There's no way.
Show!Aziraphale genuinely believes that Heaven is good at its core.
Book!Aziraphale knows Heaven isn't any different than Hell and would punish him just as ruthlessly and unfairly as Hell would Crowley.
Show!Crowley understands both Heaven and Hell on a very deep level and is highly aware of their true nature.
Book!Crowley buys a piece of celestial propaganda about ineffable mercy and actually expects Heaven to be forgiving.
Let the magnitude of that difference sink.
Exhibit #3: same scene, a bit further
'So all we've got to do is find it,' said Crowley. 'Go through the hospital records.' The Bentley's engine coughed into life and the car leapt forward, forcing Aziraphale back into the seat. 'And then what?' he said. 'And then we find the child.' 'And then what?' The angel shut his eyes as the car crabbed around the corner. 'Don't know.' 'Good grief.' 'I suppose (...) your people wouldn't consider (...) giving me asylum?' 'I was going to ask you the same thing. (...)'
This is just a cherry on top, really.
Yes, in the book, when things go pear-shaped, both Aziraphale and Crowley consider seeking asylum on the opposite side.
Do you need more proof that book canon and show canon really aren't as compatible as they may seem?
Free will
As promised, let's get back to that dialogue because while it may not be obvious at first glance it really illustrates perfectly the problem arising from balancing between two canons.
Here is the full quote from the book:
Aziraphale had tried to explain [free will] to him once. The whole point, he'd said - this was somewhere around 1020, when they'd first reached their little Arrangement - the whole point was that when a human was good or bad it was because they wanted to be. Whereas people like Crowley and, of course, himself, were set in their ways right from the start. People couldn't become truly holy, he said, unless they also had the opportunity to be definitively wicked. Crowley had thought about it for some time and, around about 1023, had said, Hang on, that only works, right, if you start everyone off equal, OK? You can't start someone off in a muddy shack in the middle of a war zone and expect them to do as well as someone born in a castle. Ah, Aziraphale had said, that's the good bit. The lower you start, the more opportunities you have. Crowley had said, That's lunatic. No, said Aziraphale, it's ineffable.
And here, for comparison, is how it was reused in S2E3:
A: There is a stolen body in that barrel! This is wicked! C: Oh, I'm down with wicked! Anyway, is it wicked? She needed the money. A: That is irrelevant. Look, I am good. You, I'm afraid, are evil. But people get a choice. You know, they cannot be truly holy unless they also get the opportunity to be wicked. She is wicked. C: Yeah, that only works if you start everyone off equal. You can't start someone off like that and expect her to do as well as someone born in a castle. A: Ah, but no, no. That's the good bit. The lower you start, the more opportunities you have. So Elspeth here has all the opportunities because she's so poor. C: That's lunacy. A: No, that's ineffable.
I'll be honest with you - I didn't like that scene in the show. It felt jarring and off. Aziraphale was acting like it was his first day on Earth and it was frustrating to watch.
Then, on one of the rewatches, just as I was rolling my eyes at "that's ineffable", a bulb lit in my brain. That line didn't work there because it wasn't created to be there! In the book and in S1 "it's ineffable" was kind of Aziraphale's catchphrase but in S2 it only appears this once. More importantly, in the book and S1, the fact that the angel would say that was all a build-up to the scene when he threw it in Heaven's face at the Tadfield Airbase. Using that word in S2 was like trying to make a running joke that has already reached its destination run again.
And just like that one line the entire dialogue didn't fit because it wasn't meant to be there. It was created for an entirely different context.
What's the difference?
Firstly, book!husbands' conviction was very shallow and it wasn't uncommon for both of them to spout slogans without meaning them. Therefore, book!Aziraphale's words didn't carry that much weight. The very fact that the conversation took place at the same time they formed the Arrangement tells us something about how serious he was. But show!Aziraphale's relationship with his beliefs is different, so when he says things like that it's a much bigger deal.
Secondly, the book explicitly states that Aziraphale and Crowley only developed free will on Earth, due to extended exposure to mankind. The show never really makes a stand on the matter but based on what we've seen so far I think we can safely assume that angels and demons are capable of making their own choices as much as humans do.
In other words, in its original context, the conversation was just Aziraphale talking about a concept he didn't fully grasp, quoting propaganda he didn't fully subscribe to. He was being ignorant and mildly obnoxious in an endearing way.
But using the same dialogue verbatim in the Resurrectionist carried a completely different meaning. Aziraphale who utters it in the show has no reason to be so ignorant about free will. Aziraphale who utters it in the show genuinely tries to defend Heaven. Most importantly, Aziraphale who utters it in the show, doesn't just idly bicker with his friend about general things but is judging an actual human individual that's right in front of them. That, more than anything else, makes it sound heartless and ignorant.
What is the problem with having two canons, exactly?
It's time to wrap things up.
In the opening paragraphs, I've mentioned that I've noticed the issue while interpreting scenes from S1, and yes, that was the case and I do believe that the existence of two canons is especially problematic for S1. That's because pretty much every scene in S1 is potentially like that dialogue about free will in S2, except subtler and harder to spot.
A grand majority of what we see and hear in S1 comes directly from the book. But while words and actions were kept, in some instances things that gave them their original meaning might no longer be valid in the show universe. Sometimes they easily take new meaning, and we don't even notice. But sometimes there's this dissonance that's not as easy to work around.
S1 deviated from the book and created its own canon. But the difference didn't seem to go very deep and it seemed perfectly reasonable to use some trivia from the book to shed some extra light on the content of the show. I used to do it in my head, even though I was aware of the changes that were made.
But S2 expanded the show canon so far beyond what was in the book that I'm really not sure it makes sense to compile them anymore.
There are a lot of things that were only explicitly stated in the book that I keep clinging to. But perhaps it's time to let go...
Thank you for your patience.
I know all of the above isn't exactly a revolutionary discovery, but I needed to get it off my chest before writing anything else.

A Christmas Song They Absolutely Hate
Tumblr media
A request by an anon
Lucifer (That damn chipmunk song)
Enough said, he cannot tolerate it at all, the second he hears those squeaky voices he’ll react somewhat violently. Whatever he needs to do to get that music to stop the fastest, he will do, even launching Mammon into the speaker.
Mammon (Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer)
He hates the song. He’s not so big an idiot that he doesn’t realize everyone only suddenly likes Rudolph because they think he’s useful, he thinks it’s a bad song and the reindeer are big jerks.
Leviathan (Baby, it’s cold outside)
“Those fucking normies. They’re just all over each other, go to hell.”
Satan (God rest ye merry gentlemen.)
They literally diss him in the song, like what’d he do to those guys personally, it makes him very angry to hear carolers singing it especially.
Innocent Carolers: “To save us all from Satan’s power—“
Satan: *yelling from across the street* “I didn’t do anything to you!”
Asmodeus (That damn chipmunk song)
Like normally squeaky or soft voices are kinda cute but nuh-uh, not this one. It feels like nails on a chalkboard to him.
Beelzebub (Believe)
He doesn’t really care but the song Believe makes him kinda sad.
It’s a great song with a bittersweet message and it makes him tear up a little when he hears it so he’s come to not like it much.
Belphegor (Anything hard to fall asleep to)
It doesn’t matter the song, if it’s too uppitty he can’t fall asleep. Even Christmas gospel can send him to sleep but not something like All I Want For Christmas is You.
Solomon (That damn chipmunk song)
It needs no introduction. It’s a song he’d hoped would die out soon after its release but it’s been well over a decade and occasionally he hears it playing and sighs deeply at how disappointing human musical taste has become.
Thirteen (That damn chipmunk song)
She hates it and will only occasionally tolerate it by playing it whenever Solomon is nearby in hopes of seeing his face fall.
Simeon (Santa baby)
The song really drives him nuts, he doesn’t have a real reason he just really dislikes it. Maybe it’s the greed at Christmas time which isn’t even about gifts, but it just really irks him.
Luke
He loves them all, except super romantic ones because that’s not what Christmas is about!
Raphael (All I want for Christmas is you)
That’s not the point of Christmas at all and the song mentions nothing about the true meaning of Christmas everything about some random romantic interest really irritates him. He’s not above spearing the sound system if the song isn’t changed.
Michael (12 days of Christmas)
It's just so long and repetitive.
He’d rather listen to shorter songs than one that just doesn’t seem to end, like get to the next song already, turtledoves aren’t even an existing species anymore—don’t remind him of such a tragedy.
Mephistopheles (Basically all of them)
Mephistopheles isn’t a Christmas demon, he only tolerates it for Diavolo’s sake but he’ll be damned if a song plays around him and Diavolo isn’t there. He’ll contact whoever he needs to to change the music immediately.
Barbatos (Dominic the donkey)
He hates it because he believes it’s rather stupid but also because it cracks Diavolo up so Diavolo plays it a few times a day to amuse himself and Barb is really sick of hearing it.
Diavolo
He loves all of them, even the damn chipmunk song. Even the Christmas gospel doesn’t really bother him but he doesn’t pay as much attention to it as he does humming along to the other songs. He does laugh when he hears Satan’s name in God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, so he actually likes that one.

About representation of child abuse in ML
I’m sorry if this isn’t the proper way to send it I chose it because I can actually divide paragraphs here. I am also assuming none of the abuse submissions are reblogged because of the subject.  I was neglected as a child(parents often forgot to feed me, didn’t care about my hygiene and I couldn’t go to the doctor when I should have) and emotionally abused after coming out as trans as a young teen(constantly being pressured to stop being trans, treating me as stupid and melodramatic for being trans at all, showing open disgust if I did something “too manly” etc.). I was a bully for two years in middle school before realizing the weight of what I was doing. I had to put in a lot of effort to improve, especially since guilt was feeding into already-existing self-hatred. When I first saw Miraculous Ladybug on TV I didn’t expect child abuse to come up at all since it’s a hard topic even for adults and Miraculous didn’t seem like the show to tackle a complicated topic. Looking back they shouldn’t have tried because they end up giving incredibly bad messages. As you point out Chloe is treated as irredeemable and sent off with her abusive parent as punishment while Andre is never treated as the neglectful parent he is. While children can be abusive to their parents Andre is the mayor of Paris while Chloe is a kid, he holds a lot of power here that he refuses to use at all. He also doesn’t try to get Chloe psychological help which would be the correct course of action seeing her mother despite the fact it wouldn’t even make a dent in his pocket. It would be better to either have Chloe’s redemption fail while highlighting how her parents affect her behaviour but don’t justify it or have a straightforward redemption arc, maybe one where she doesn’t get forgiven but still improves to show kids there’s a way out. “I will always be like this because of abuse” is an easy thought to fall into and ML accidentally ends up teaching it to kids, Jesus. The other thing that really bugs me is the treatment Gabriel gets, it seems to me that the show tries to use his love for his wife and son as a redeeming quality but I am not sure on how good an idea that is. It’s better than if he were to hate Adrien but loving Adrien doesn’t excuse any of the things he does. In my experience most abusive parents do love their children, they really think they are doing the best for their kids. The kicker comes in when they end up harming their children in some way but refuse to acknowledge it. If your parents always end up doing more harm than good and refuse to stop, then love alone can’t save it. I don’t think that point was there as Gabriel’s love was portrayed as a good thing because this show doesn’t do nuance. Also the plot Gabriel abusing Adrien should mainly be about how Adrien feels. Of course it will affect other characters but Adrien is the one getting abused by Gabriel. Gabriel is also an incredibly controlling parent who takes away Adrien’s agency and the show never really addresses that. Adrien is a bystander in a story-arc about him getting abused. He never learns that Gabriel is Hawk Moth(writers seem to think we forgot Chat Blanc and even then that episode was more about “Ooo hero gets akumatized”), we never learn his thoughts about the whole situation and Gabriel completely gets his way in the end, leading to a happy ending. Adrien’s contribution to the finale is giving up the agency he had left. This really left a sour taste in my mouth. If you’re not going to deal with how abuse affects Adrien, why write it in at all?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First of all, I’d like to thank you for being able to step forward and talk about your history with your parents. I’m very sorry that you had to go through that.
Second of all, you make a good point with how much the show empasizes Gabriel’s love for his family supposedly justifying his terrible actions, with or without the mask. It doesn’t help that, like you said, he doesn’t even get to confront Gabriel about their relationship himself, and ends the season believing all the delusions Gabriel had about him being a good father.
Hell, even the movie does a better job at pointing out how much Gabriel has hurt his son over the show itself, and I’m pretty sure that’s why so many people prefer that version of Gabriel over this one.

Mark is busy slicing the watermelon in the kitchen while you take a nap on the living room couch. Quietly humming some random song, he loves days like this. When he can stay at home and be with his family.
Especially now that another Little Lee is on the way.
You've reached that point in your pregnancy where you're constantly tired, you feel bad about not being as active to take care and play with your son, Minjung, but he really is the best boy. He's been very understanding, he always makes sure you're okay. Just like how his dada taught him.
"Mom, are you awake?" you hear a tiny voice whisper, you can't help but smile and open your eyes. You weren't really sleeping. Just resting your feet and back.
"Yes, love. What is it?" you ask him
"You need water, mama? snacks?" he asks you
Chuckling at your cute son, you shake your head. Instead you pat the vacant spot next to you, Minjung carefully lays next to you.
"I miss hanging out with you, sorry mommy can't run and play outside with you" you tell him
"It's okay, mommy. Daddy says it's because you're growing little sissy right now so we need to take care of you and her"
You smile upon hearing your son's words. Only 5 but already he's wise beyond his years. One thing doesn't change though is his cute face looking more and more like his father's everyday.
Speaking of, Mark walked back to the living room to see his two favorite people on the couch having a small talk. He can hear the conversation between you and Minjung, quietly listening behind.
"You'll tell mama if you need anything okay? Once baby sister is here, it might seem like we're taking care of her a lot but we love you just as much"
"It's okay, mommy. I love you too"
You can't help it, he's just too cute. You squish your little boy's cheeks, hugging him as close as you can. Savoring these last moments of Minjung being an only child.
With the next one on the way, you've been worried about Minjung and how he'll react once the baby is here. But you know your son, he's smart and always kind. The moment you told him he's about to have a sibling, he's been very excited.
"Got room for one more?" Mark decides to finally interrupt, wanting to be a part of this special moment.
"Of course, come here" you open your arm, hugging both of your boys.
"Oh did you feel that?" you ask, making the two boys move away from you
"What?! You okay?" Mark worriedly asks, immediately getting off the couch and crouching on the floor instead. Gently pulling Minjung with him.
"She kicked, here" you take Mark and Minjung's hand and put it where you felt the kick. A few seconds later you felt it again
"Oh, is that little sissy?" Minjung asks you with an excited look on his face
"Yea, she's excited to meet you too"
"Does it hurt, mommy? When she kicks?"
"Sometimes, only when she kicks me here by the ribs but it's okay. She doesn't mean it. She's just trying to move around and stretch a bit" you explain to the little boy, Mark listening to the two of you while his hand draws circles on your tummy. Waiting for his little girl to kick again.
It's the second time but moments like this still amazes him. He can still remember the first time he felt Minjung kick in your tummy like it was yesterday, now the three of you are here feeling the baby girl's kicks. He hasn't met her yet but the amount of love Mark has for his daughter is already beyond this universe.
You, Minjung and this little baby girl is his whole world.
Tumblr media
A few weeks later, it's time for Minjung to meet his new little sister
"Okay when we get there, we need to use inside voice okay? We wash our hands first" Mark tells his son, looking down at him.
The two boys make their way to the hospital where you're currently resting. Mark holding Minjung's hand while he holds a bouquet of flowers in the other.
"Okay you knock" he tells him, Minjung knocking gently on the door
"Come in" you say from the other side of the door, Mark opening the door. Immediately you see your baby boy, it's only been two days but it felt like forever since you last saw him.
"Hi, baby. I missed you" you tell him, already feeling the tears build up. Mark chuckles at you, while you roll your eyes at him. Mark helps Minjung wash his hands before the little boy walks over to you.
"Hi mommy, we got you flowers" he says, showing you the flowers
"Thank you, baby. I love them. Can mama have a hug?" you wait for Mark to help Minjung up the bed
"Careful with mom okay, gentle" Mark reminds him, you just smile at the two. Immediately you hug your little boy, compared to little newborn currently in the crib Minjung seems so big.
The thought enough to put tears in your eyes
"I was gone for two days, and you're already a big brother. Mommy missed you so much, buddy" you tell him, peppering kisses all over his face making the boy laugh.
"I missed you too, mommy. Is baby sissy okay?"
"Yea, she's here. You want to meet her?" you ask him, the little boy nodding excitedly.
"Okay, why don't you sit here while I get her?" Mark helps Minjung down from the bed, pointing at the little couch. Mark gets baby girl from her crib before walking towards where Minjung was seating.
Meanwhile you get your phone out to capture the moment.
"Minjung, meet your little sister Minjee" Mark tells his little boy, showing him the little bundle of joy wrapped in the pink blanket. Minjung looked a bit unsure at first, looking at his dad first.
"You can hold her, here she loves holding your finger like this. Gently okay?" Mark lets Minjung hold out one finger so little Minjee can hold it. You wipe the few tears that escaped, smiling at your family
"Hello, Minjee. I'm Minjung, your brother" he says happily. shaking his finger like they're shaking hands for the first time. Mark smiles at his son, kissing the top of his head before looking at his daughter.
"You're going to be the best of friends, you have to teach her how to color and play the piano and how to ride a bike. It's going to be so much fun" Mark tells him, "Would that be okay?"
"Mhm, we can play. I'll share my toys with her" Minjung answers
"Thanks buddy, that's very nice of you" Mark tells him, putting Minjee on his right arm so he can hug Minjung with the other one.
"I love the both of you very very much, more than anything. We take care of her like we take care of mommy, okay?"
"Okay"
"That's my boy" Mark mumbles, hugging Minjung tighter. Looking over at you to see you wiping more tears away.
"Guys, I love this moment but you're making me cry so much" you joke, Mark laughs before gently standing up to walk over to you. He passes Minjee over to you before he kisses you on the head.
"Good job, mom of two"
"Oh shut up, you did this to me" you joke, "Hey, as long as you're willing to. I can do it all over again. I love our babies very much, I don't mind having a few more" he tells you, you know what he means by that. At the end of the day it's your body that goes through a lot.
But looking down at the bundle of joy in your arms and your little man, you know you'd do it over and over again.
"Can we do it until one looks like me?"
"Dude, what are you talking about? She kinda looks like you"
You shoot him a deadpanned look, it's too soon to tell but even know you can see your daughter takes after her dad much like her older brother. As for Minjung, well one look at him and you'd know he's Mark's son.
"Kinda? She looks just like Minjung when he was born. She'll probably look like you too. I don't hate it though, more mini Mark's" you smile at your husband
"Better luck next time, baby"

So just finished watching the ep so review. Spoils ahead:
So the episode was ok to me, solid 6/10 one of the better episodes which since this was supposed to be an "extravagant" ep why does it got better quality than the main eps, idk Viv has her moments like this ep and other eps its a train wreck in writing ect.
Mammon worked on my nerves, from design to his movements, personality ALL of him was annoying, which props for an annoying Villian but its Villian I never want to see back again and he's hinted for some sort of return.
Side tangent: Mammon is like the how many-ith Villian to get a return ep/hint at one. It was 1st cherubs, then dorks, then stella/ice twink, striker/crimson now Mammon & according to the leaked storyboards a ghost guy that tries to talk IMP into off-ing themselves... its a flipping lot and cherubs & dorks seem to be forgotten dispite dorks knowing & having hard evidence they exist, flip Viv chill it with your Villian of the week cos its way too many now.
Anyway, Blitz didn't need to be in this ep besides the flashback. Ozzie got him to talk Fizz out of being Mammon's puppet but ultimately Ozzie spoke him out of it & gave him courage to quit/confront Mammon. Even Blitz being a bodyguard/killing people for Fizz could've been any imp. Blitz is starting to feel like Steven from SU, in every ep even tho the ep doesn't need him/ the episode surrounds topics a wee child shouldn't be in (i.e Lapis trauma dumping on Steven & he a child isn't really equipped to handle that situation).
My fave part of this ep was Ozzie and Fizz. Ya'll I legit prayed Viv wouldn't mess these two up and my prayers were answered. Absolutely a joy these two were. Fizz especially what a darling. Loved that small scenes with him and the deaf imp child, l dont know sign language but it looked genuine animated and was just sweet moments.
From their interactions, Fizz's panic attacks/self doubt felt & were genuine... I felt that as someone that has panic attacks from high stress on my studies/life. It was just handled well. Fizz feeling less than and needing to prove himself from 1. his past 2. his appearance, that accident affected his self image/worth so much (why I felt him forgiving Blitz was too hastily done but I digress) & 3. him doing this Mammon contest still to gain/earn Ozzie's love for him cos Fizz believes Ozzie only sticks around because of this fame Mammon gave Fizz. Ozzie finally saying what he loves about Fizz was lovely, wanted that in the 1st ep but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Their song was... I didn't like it BUT the message in it was beautiful. Lastly Fizz saying fuck you to Mammon from the courage/strength Ozzie gave him was a nice send off... also Ozzie saying he loves Fizz ah ngl that made me smile agh I just love them. I want to see them more than the Stolitz show but thats only a wish. Props Viv, you get 1 brownie point not messing this up.
Last findings, the ep was bloated as hell my soul Viv please stop cramming so much in an ep, this one is 30 mins long & yet still felt bloated. Pacing was a motherfuka damn it was bad & the swearing was jarring (its a Viv written ep I don't expect any less but still gonna point it out) and the comedy wasn't so prominent in this ep, Blitz/Mammon gave some comic relief but in the best and worst ways:
The way the VA delivered this line "to be fucked" made me laugh, the line is cringy but the delivery lol gold
Tumblr media
Aand Blitz, my soul shut the fuck up & get out this ep. Last ep & this one he said something so agonizingly cringe I pulled my face
Tumblr media
The world of HB is legit American hell or earth just painted red since Fizz named all these places in America just "hellified" where his fans come from.
And very last, congratulations Salem glad you got the cathartic send off you deserve from working under Viv, truly fuck you "Mammon" indeed :) also glad they credited you this time.

BSD 110: An Absurdist Analysis
The fate of Aya Kōda
Since my post analyzing BSD 109 in accordance with Asagiri's absurdist storytelling got so much love, I've decided to continue analyzing the chapters thru an absurdist lens when I deem it relevant, and making predictions accordingly. I think that not only is it an effective way of reading BSD, it gives us readers a bit more hope that things will turn out okay when the plot is... like it is right now (lol).
I recommend checking out my BSD 109 post if you haven't already this since I explain the philosophy of the absurd in depth there :)
BSD 110 spoilers below!! Obviously! Also TW for discussion of suicide.
So. I really don't think the ten year-old girl is going to die.
On top of Aya being "the last hope" (more on that later), suicide is one of those things that absurdists really frown upon.
Aya's plan as I understand it right now is to add her weight to the table in order to pull the sword from Bram's body, this is why she jumps. If this works, the sword will be dislodged and she, the sword and the table would fall to the ground, which is very far below -- she would likely die upon impact.
Absurdists really don't like suicide as a solution to hopeless situations, most absurdist storytellers have their characters commit suicide because they have "given up". It's submission, giving into the meaninglessness of our reality rather than rebelling against and embracing the absurd.
We see this with Oda in Dark Era, his suicide mission is framed as him giving up on life because the orphans were killed. Of course, it also served as catalyst for Dazai's character development, compelling him to escape a situation that would have likely ended up in his own eventual suicide. All this to say that even though Asagiri chose to make Oda go on a suicide mission, the overall narrative purpose still lent itself to absurdism through Dazai's decision to defect. It needed to happen for the story to move forward as it has (and as we know from BEAST, there literally cannot be a universe in which both Oda and Dazai are alive).
So, if Aya dies now, what message does this send? It's almost certain that the world will literally end if she does, meaning that everyone's efforts up until this point have all been for naught, which, as I explained in my BSD 109 post, is the opposite of the entire point of BSD as an absurdist text. Aya is really the "last hope" right now, with all our other main characters pretty much screwed or just not present.
Tumblr media
"Nothing is impossible for a warrior of justice. We beat the bad guys and save the world, no matter what happens."
What Aya says right here is something I'd liken to the Dazai quote I brought up with my BSD 109 analysis: "The ones who actually make the world turn are those who scream within the storm of uncertainty and run with flowing blood." Both communicate the idea that there's never an acceptable point in time to give up (suicide), that there's always something more that you can do, even when things seem bleak. Those who "make the world turn" are one in the same with Aya's concept of "warriors of justice."
Aya may not succeed exactly the way we expect her to, but she absolutely is not dying like this. On top of the absurdist storytelling reasons, she's just a child. Of course, we know Asagiri isn't above killing kids, but Aya is a bit different than the other children we've met in BSD. Her character has been built up and developed, she has a fleshed-out backstory, and we've spent a lot of time with her. To kill off a little girl we've come to care about a lot would just be cruel, plus her death wouldn't really serve a narrative purpose right now.
So, what could happen?
One prediction is that Aya adding her weight to the table does dislodge the sword and she falls, but she is saved by another character. We know Kenji and Tecchou are out there right now, we haven't seen Yosano or Kyouka in ages, etc. etc.. Basically, there are definitely people out there that could come to her rescue.
But there's an option I like a lot better: Aya's ability manifests.
Aya Kōda was a 20th century Japanese novelist and essayist, and the namesake for the Aya we know in BSD. As far as we know, all the characters who are named after real-life authors possess an ability inspired by the life/work of said author. Aya doesn't have an ability yet, so logic follows that she will develop one by the end of the series.
I'm not sure where I read this, so take it with a grain of salt, but I believe that in BSD the character's abilities manifest because of trauma. Not only does Aya live in a somewhat emotionally abusive household, but she's literally been thrust into the middle of a conflict in which the world could literally end and has decided to jump off of a tall building to try to save the world -- I'd say that's pretty traumatizing!
I'm not familiar with the irl Aya Kōda's works enough to speculate about what her ability would actually do, but there's a decent chance that because of the current situation, her special ability will manifest in order to prevent her from dying and/or dislodge the sword from Bram. This would also fit absurdist storytelling very well, she's literally doing jumping off a building as a complete last ditch effort, it's a crazy plan that probably won't work -- but her other option is to just accept death, and that's not acceptable. If she were to manifest her ability in this moment, it would reinforce the idea that rebelling against the absurd has value, that even when things seem at their worst there's always something you can do.
Tumblr media
Anyway, these are just my thoughts! Please feel free to add anything you find relevant, especially if you're familiar with Aya's irl counterpart! See you next month ;)
Here's the BSD 110 translation I pulled the panels from.

who do you think is more Crowley coded and who is more Azira coded out of dnp?
i set myself hourly notifications ever since you send the ask and it still took me this long to answer, im so sorry 😭
Tumblr media
to answer your question:
It might seem like obvious that dan is crowley coded and phil is azira coded because of their aesthetics and personality but stating that as that is too simple for me. lets break it down:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
dan is like crowley in the obvious sense of having that edgy aesthetic and always needing to question things while phil is the one with the light aesthetic who enjoys what is happening despite the problems it has. just watch them play the game of life.
this reminds me of this quote from a book ive read for uni which really stuck with me:
Tumblr media
so yea, dan is the social scientist who points out what most people miss and phil is the one who tells us that we shouldn't wallow in defeat of it but make our own meaning out of it. and we need both! they are like ying and yang, like crowley and aziraphale in that way.
crowley who questions heaven and thusly falls, but then doesnt stop questioning hell because he doesnt see the world in black and white, good actions and bad actions.
Tumblr media
i think dan for a long time was not like that. i say this with the utmost respect but if you look back, his branding was usually self deprecating jokes and at least to me personally it felt like his perspective was pessimistic. he always made sure to leave a positive message but to me it felt like a wish for a better future, not a feeling of certainty that it will be better.
Phil on the other hand is very much like that:
Tumblr media
Phil is like aziraphale and me in the sense that he gets irrationally worried about things,
Tumblr media
but it is dan who literally did a tour about his worries of the world ending, with branding and all:
Tumblr media
and yet:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
phil and crowley both have that rational optimism, the sense that things will be okay. but aziraphale does not give up in-spite of the odds being against them. in s1 he refuses to run away to alpha centauri because he believes that they should stay and fight. that there is still hope. he does not accept that the world will end. but its crowley who sparks the idea of aziraphale raising the antichrist with him. its aziraphale who tells angel crowley of armageddon , and its why crowley gets upset and questions the almighty.
so my point is that phil has aziraphale's light aesthetic vibes and his fear of near doom but crowley's certainty that everything will be okay in the end despite it.
dan on the other hand has crowley's edgy dark aesthetic, his cynicism and sense of questioning belief systems, but also aziraphale's determinism to fight what he is sure is a losing battle/the end of the world because he wants to believe that it is possible that everything will be okay (that being the message of wad/ywgttn/big/etc...)
i want to talk a bit about 'dark/light polarity'. what we mean by that is two sides of the same coin. yin and yang:
☯️
they depend on each other, they interconnect and intertwine. be it real people or fictional characters, it is never a clear black and white binary, because what the characters have something that the other lacks and when they come together they become a whole. plato said humans once had 4 legs and feet, and then got split in half by zeus to punish us to live our lives yearning to be connected with the other half of our soul/coin, our soulmate. they carry sth of each other within them because there are shards that got broken in the middle when the being was split and were forced to choose sides.
so even tho it might seem like dan is more like crowley coded and phil is more aziraphale coded because of their light/dark aesthetic, there's many things of both in each of them and thats what makes it interesting and real to us.
