coming to a very startling conclusion that my behavior and thoughts on the media i consume is very different to the new friends i have acquired

#always nice to get a diversity of thought #but i do get stared at more #one of my new friends calls me passionate which is true but i thought that this normal #yes i do see the irony in me discovering that certain aspects about me are not normal even when i willingly chose be on the not normal site #but like #what do you mean my love for characters we are assigned to read and analyze is not technically normal???#what do you mean most people do not just recognize tropes and character motivations from just skimming classical novels????#they are the blueprint????#what do you mean not everyone spend their days stressing about hypothetical grades and meaningless comments you said to the professor #i thought this was the normal things!!!#where’s that stick figure meme #it perfectly encapsulates what I mean

I cannot express enough that if your reaction, as a hobby artist, to not getting that many notes on your art is to say "maybe I should just stop doing art altogether" you need to stop posting art to tumblr

not necessarily forever, not even for long, but just stop putting your art on here and start doing it for you again, remember why you enjoyed doing art in the first place and stop relying on the attention of faceless people on the internet for your enjoyment of your hard work

believe me, I get it, nothing crushes the artistic soul quite like labouring for hours on a piece only for it to get like 10 notes, so you need to find your own source of joy in the act of creation and a lot of the time that means making art and not showing it to anybody

Bonus! Based on this quick thing I did this afternoon and the idea took a bit more shape and turned into that thing from above uEK

#not too much effort on the colors with this one #o would’ve left it just with lineart but at the end I thought it would look nicer with some rough shadows #shadowing. you know what I meant.#his plant markings being extremely faint on his eyes when they aren’t glowing is very true to me also #I think itd be awesome if Vash’s eyes would just look like that when he isn’t masking #or they could be a bit more lax but still look like they are staring far far away into the void #or into your souls if you so happen to make eye contact with him. like woowoo over here #he is probably listening for one of his sisters who is not so close to him. maybe even Kni? who knows it’s up to interpretation #Vash’s hair can be such a nightmare also. I do not think of physics when drawing him whatsoever #I give him the Mickey Mouse ears treatment sometimes and some other I actually respect the fact that his hair will always be swept #to the right. if you haven’t noticed that yet. Okay but Gojo raised two children at 17/18 alone with like zero experience on how to be a good parent while he was training to become the strongest and shortly after loosing his best friend who had also been the one he had been in love with in one of the most horrendous and cruel ways possible all while keeping up an incredibly cheerful and carefree personality.

You can't tell me that this man wasn't emotionally, mentally and probably also physically exhausted during that time.

#Doing all of that is honestly so impressive #And doing so while being at a bad place in life/struggling with mental health makes it even more difficult to manage #I like to think that Nanami and Shoko kept checking on him frequently despite him saying that he was fine and didn't needed any help #He was just 17/18 at that time. updated Sleight ref!!

#i changed his colors !!#treat this as a suggestion than a solid ref. i spent like 3 hours drawing and redrawing the legs bc i couldnt get the shape right so if u #wanna draw them more planti or digi i do not mind ^_^ get silly with it!! same goes for pelt pattern do whatevr u want with it #the pelt pattern is loosely based on a snowshoe cat which was fun to play with. as u can see they kinda have a butterfly motif going on #if u squint the ear tufts kinda resemble luna moths or swallowtails with the long tail at the end of the wings #i was kinda torn about changing the costume color but it clashed too much with the new color palette so i had to change it #i didnt include the cape here so its easier to see the costume but ill draw it another time if i remember lol #its also a lil hard to see but i put pinstripes on their pants but thats optional. their design is pretty flexible anyway #god im pretty attached to this guy already. hes like semi fan character semi regular character... oc... thing #i should draw more furries. i followed some furry artists for giggles recently and its true what they say. u need furries in your life #btw while i was drawing this i was fooling around while trying to figure out his costume color and colored it as kaito kids suit for fun #and i just stared at it for a solid 5 minutes before saving a picture. maybe ill post it later #my art #myart #my oc #oc #furry art #fur #furry #laika's comet #laika's comet oc #fan character #sleight #ref sheet #oc ref sheet

You know how there are those rare occasions when Batman will team up with a villain?

Can you imagine how funny it would be if during those team ups that specific rogue gets an insider look at how the Batfamily operates/interacts with each other?

I feel like it'd be like those situations where you're at a friend's house and said friend starts arguing with their parent and you're just stuck there like "🧍‍♂️" except in this case, it's just everyone arguing with everyone.

The team-up would be going well at first but then all it takes is one snide remark from one batkid for chaos to unfold.

Suddenly it's like a bomb has been set off, triggering a cascade of catastrophes. Red Robin and Robin are screaming at each other, knives are thrown, someone is crying, out of NOWHERE the Red Hood comes in and shoots Batman's kneecaps, which, hello?? where did he even come from?? Isn't he on the their side?? Did the Signal just jump off the building without a grapple gun?? Nightwing is trying to calm everyone down, no one listens to him, and Red Robin has just launched Robin off the side of the building like a football.

Everything is hell, Batman has three batarangs lodged in his armor and has lost all motor functions below his knees but has not said a single word throughout it all.

The Red Hood has just rigged the building they are standing atop of with bombs. The mission is never completed.

The rogue decides to never step foot in Gotham ever again.

Bonus:

This is also how that same villain discovers the batfam's identity: They see one interview with all the Waynes together, watches how one small thing sets off all the children to start outright attacking each other, notices how vaguely familiar all of this is..

and the rogue is just sat there, mouth open, squinting at the interview clip like "No fucking way"
