I have crippling religious trauma but I still love religious and biblical art because something about it being so beautiful yet so inherently broken is very addictive so following tags like catholic is so weird cos one minute I’ll be like ‘oooooo pretty art’ *saves* and then I’ll see an actual post about religion and ‘oh fuck that reminds me a little heavily of when I was denied healthcare because my ilness ‘was sent by god to test me’’

It’s a constant cycle of being healed through beauty and triggering myself again but there is something so poetic about trauma that my brain is clinging onto. (I don’t believe any of the Christian religions and I’m not romanticising trauma that is just my process lolololol)

just wanted to share this great video with you guys. I really enjoy the aesthetics of this. It seems to me that you can really make some kind of creepy horror based on the history of Russia, without even using any monsters (although you can just open a textbook on the history of Russia and you will see so many monsters and horror that you won’t be able to sleep later). I just think that the histories and cultures of many countries should be revealed more nowadays. I want to reveal the culture of my country because I love it with all my soul. You can come up with so many interesting stories!
