Was digging through an old closet with my mom, found more classic art™️ and other vintage gaming stuff. But I wanted to start with this Minecraft planning sketch:

1. Insane amount of effort for a literal cube building. Hilarious.
2. The branding was on-point, even back then:

I’ll get back to you when I figure out a jail & access tunnel.

I did not think I could love Van Gogh any more and then I discovered this exists.

And he most likely painted it out of pure sarcasm and cynical assholery??

Are you KIDDING ME.
Like "your stupid classes literally bored me to death, allow me to provide an anatomically accurate depiction of exactly what they did to me" it's BEAUTIFUL.

Early in 1888, Van Gogh travelled to the fishing village of Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. He lived in Arles, and had never seen the Mediterranean Sea. He had to travel for hours in a coach to get there. But after the trip, he was greeted by the Mediterranean. Van Gogh stayed a while in Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. In barely a week, he made nine drawings and three paintings in and around the village.
This animation of 'Seascape near Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer', (1888) is made by Andrey Zakirzyanov.
