Hiii, so I just my braces on and I'm really not enjoying it cuz ya know...it hurts. So I was wondering if you could do Riddle, Kalim, Azul, and Floyd with a (preferably gender-neutral) s/o who just got their braces on? Thanks!

man, i'm so sorry this got so so so delayed. i was grinding some events and had to lay off a bit (for personal reasons) 😭

"I've prepared some antibiotics and painkillers, try to take them in moderation. Once it clears up we can enjoy a cake or two together."

As someone who aspires to become a doctor, Riddle knew the basics— the medicine you needed to take, what you were and weren't allowed to eat, and the physical tasks you had to lay off for the time being.

He's sure that the dentist had already told you what to do. But it wouldn't hurt anyone if he were to remind you again.

Floss and brush well, he would tell you. It became routine for you both.

Riddle wrote your appointments in his timetable, just so he can clear up his tasks should you return to have your regular checkup.

"Oh, I get it now! A good meal might stave off the pain. Have some of this, it isn't too hard to swallow and it's pretty good too!"

Kalim experienced the pain of having braces too. As the eldest of his family, he ought to look presentable in front of various guests and business associates of his parents.

He didn't have a great amount of knowledge for your situation. But that didn't mean he didn't know how to ease the pain.

His mind drifted back to memories of him getting taken care of by the palace servants, and the delicious foods that they offered him at the time.

And, much to Jamil's chagrin and worry, he took it upon himself to fetch you the medications your dentist prescribed you with.

"They're there to straighten your teeth? Hm, I guess there are medical reasons for such a practice. Truly, there is always something you land-folk do that baffle me."

When he learned that you were to buy ibuprofen, he was curious if he could whisk up a potion that's similar to it. Perhaps some herbs and exotic roots would do the trick, or maybe a few powders and extracts...

Then he remembered he didn't have a degree in pharmaceuticals. He wouldn't risk a lawsuit of all things. Oh, woe is he.

Truth be told, he was surprised to find yet another strange practice of you land-folk. Another culture shock.

After all, mermen rarely tend to their teeth, so the practice of dentistry— specifically orthodontics — were new to him.

But he didn't let his fascination distract him from the poor, unfortunate and suffering darling beside him!

"Why even get those things on your teeth anyways? Man, you're pretty frail. Want some apples? Or candy? Corn, maybe?"

He saw it as a sign of weakness. And Floyd being Floyd, he became fixated on teasing you from the depths and back.

Under the sea, broken or damaged teeth usually recover within a day or two. It was an evolutionary trait that was passed down from generation to generation of hunters.

Ever so often you'd find him 'discreetly' munching on some hard foods beside you, looking like he was expecting some reaction from you.

When you did, he'd answer with either "You gonna do something?"

And when you won't, he'd whine, "Shut like a clam...so lame..."

That leaves you juggling between an incessant Floyd and aching teeth. You could never catch a break here...

Double shift last weekend and this is the only picture I got (which my coworker actually took with me for her Facebook story RIGHT when I looked like shit and it was low effort makeup day because I had to be there early to open the bar)

uh oh i think my laptop's officially dead

bro it sucks so much to have to go to work when you're sick

#i dont wanna go but literally if i miss another day they could fire me 😬#i don't have covid at least according to the home tests but like. i still have a cold or something #and i can't call out because our time is so restricted #and its not even the worst attendance policy i know of but it still sucks to have to work around #esp coming from my last job where i could take off literally as much time as i needed to basically whenever i needed/wanted to #added on top of the fact that i just don't want to fuckin be there anyway #and that im scared im gonna pick up covid bc my immune system is currently weakened #ugh. i have to get through tomorrow and the next day #and then im off again #and then im on one more day before im back off again #so i will have a rest day again pretty soon at least #after being off the last three days #(the first was my legit day off but it was very busy and few days before that were the roughest of a tough couple of weeks -#the second i took off bc i had to babysit and. being completely honest. i watched all of fellow travelers thr night before. and esp after #how bad a time id been personally having lately. all the suffering and the loneliness and the romance just hit me so hard #tbh i just felt like i deserved a break and i could do some work at home to balance things out -#third day i woke up feeling sick and coughing pretty hard and just feeling generally miserable. which continued for most of the day.#but with less coughing until now bc im laying down)#i just wish i could take an extra day or two to actually kick this 😭#sorry this is so long i can get locquacious when im tired

Today was rough but it was nice seeing all of my fav cousins (it’s been so long lol) and stuff man.

I dont usually have days where i cant like emotionally regulate hardcore like i always do so it suckssss to just be at the mercy of my own emotions and whatever... Im going to try to get therapy like within the next six months though 😭 I was trying to go off my meds somewhat to hopefully regain my presence of mind and sharpness but it really isnt practical I just need to experiment w different prescriptions

#I did go back from 50mg to 25 though which has been an improvement i think like I do feel somewhat less disassociative #I also need to just like start eating better tbh. we are trying vegetarian again so we will see how long that lasts 😭#I want to stick w it but if i start withering tf away again ill just take a break i guess #and start taking my iron pills again

Nearly at the end of bayonetta and honestly whoever green lit that missile/Jeanne final fight chapter -

#Like I'd seen all the boss fights and the general plot overview and the lore and of course the hitless stuff #That did not prepare me for the 1:30 hour SLOG without a save point that was that chapter ToT #Like I'd just come from the barge angel boss fight man give me a break 😭#And I had to fight that stupid spinning four fingers guy again. HATE HIM. HATE HATE HATE.#And I died sooooo many times to Jeanne too which fair enough!!!#But I was so wired and tired even before we got to the fight because of the STUPID long missile sequence!!#Literally half that time would have got the message across. Why did it need to last that long?????? Ten minutes straight??#Never mind how many times I died there at had to restart the whole thing :')#If I quit at Jeanne I'd have to do that again. No thank you!!!!!!!#Literally had to pause the game put the controller down and lie down mid fight I was sick of it #My fingers were genuinely sore q-q #There's a very small sweet spot where the slog repays in triumph and relief and then past that you're just glad it's over #That chapter passed that point somewhere back in the first missile phase FOR REAL #And to make things worse I'd used up all my healing items in the missile phase so I had to do the ENTIRETY of Jeanne ITEMLESS #It would have gone better if I'd ever been able to really practice my combos. I wish you could go into that loading area at will #The technique try zone doesn't count because it doesn't have that list along the side and the book you have to memorise and hope you know #When you do it right #Lmao the game loads too fast now!!#Anyway that was absolutely awful.
