Aroace culture is having their views on love and sex rechecked again and again and again and again.....until they settle on one. Being an aroace sure changes our views on love/sex, it's transformational and deep!....atleast in my experience *ahem*

Aroace culture is your father always making jokes about your mother beating him, and yet she never lays a finger on him. You know they love each other very much.
Aroace culture is your grandmother telling you that men are worthless, and yet her husband does all the work. They smile and laugh like nothing matters.
Aroace culture is your Aunt forever saying you'd make a lovely wife to some man. She tells you to never give a man the time of day.
Aroace culture is being told by everyone that you'd make a man very happy one day, that they'll love you and you can have kids and be happy. That your lost desire for sex is a problem, that you haven't found the right person yet.
Aroace culture is saying you'll wait for marriage, is saying you haven't found The One.
Aroace culture is never wanting what everyone else has, and yet feeling so broken when you don't have it.

Aroace culture is watching The Princess Bride for the memes and jokes and wordplay, and then being doubly disappointed for:
The romance which is like the main plot + has 2 icky lines which moved it away from being a a movie I'd be comfortable watching with kids
The fandom on Tumblr and Pinterest (where I found out this movie exists) absolutely sleeping on the friendship that is Inigo and Fezzik! Going in I had no clue about Fezzik as a character and watching those 2 interact and being such sweet friends continuously is just so beautiful ❤️

Aroace culture is hyperfixating on someone and thinking "is this romantic/sexual attraction?????", pondering on it for a few days and coming to the conclusion that it isn't, and then find yourself thinking about the person again and going "are you sure it isn't??????" and it keeps on going
-It's me I'm aroace culture

When you're aroace (and also asensual) and have a strong aesthetic attraction: I'm gonna save this person's picture SO HARD!
(For those who don't know, this is totally me)

Aroace artist culture is people assuming you find someone attractive when you’re staring at them but in reality you’re just studying some part of them to use in a character design..

I don't know if it's aroace culture to be almost to highkey offended when someone suggests that any characters that are (childhood) friends will definitely end up together as a couple, but it certainly is my aroace culture
Like this is me. Not coping with your amatonormativity:

Aroace culture is headcanoning every character that doesn't seem to be interested in relationships or sex as aroace.

Any other ace and/or aro here who thought they were lesbian/gay because of how platonical the representation on TV/in books used to look like, only to realise later on, as it started spreading into less subtexty, more lovetexty/sextexty vibes, it was the platonicality (that's a word, I used it in a sentence, leave me alone) that was appealing? I can't be the only one

Aroace culture is being so annoyed at the "love is better, greater and more important than friendship" trope in books - or attitude in real life.

Writer aroace culture is thinking of a scenario when the protagonist is scared of going to a party because everyone there wants to play the pocky game, but everything descending into hilarious chaos because everyone wants the pack of pocky to themselves

A Hallmark movie just name checked Taylor and it reminded me of my belief that Hallmark movies take place in an alternate asexual universe where you only have to go to work when it's convenient to your life's plot.
