about the piece: the composition of this piece actually came pretty quickly to me—I had this composition in mind from the beginning and it didn’t really change at all. here’s the sketch for proof:

ALTHOUGH, I had SUCH a hard time with the lettering for this piece— and overall I’m not very happy with the lettering (in comparison to my other pieces, ESP my fob and tyv art, maybe it’s just p!atd???) but I do think it’s a bit clever. my own handwriting didn’t fit the vibe, and just putting text over it seemed too clean, so this began the extensive process of trying to copy time new roman by hand. although it was fun finding places to put all the lyrics
about the song: camisado is definitely not my favorite song off afycso, but I will say lyrically it’s one of my favs just because they are SO clever like DAMN!!!!!! rent was due i guess
the complexity of the lyrics did make it very hard to complete this piece though—I got the lyrics wrong on four separate occasions despite listening to the song on repeat for two days and kept having to go in and fix em (which was. extremely tiring.)
anyway, even though I’m on a bit of a pre-spilt panic! binge rn, I’ll probably go back to making fob art soon because yayyyy another tour!!! hopefully I can get tickets this time round (wish me luck!)

Today had been a long day, and you were to curl into bed and go to sleep at this moment right now. It had been one of those tiring days where you would skip dinner for a moment of shut eye.
With Kakashi as the new Hokage, much work had to be done to get the necessities in order. You and Shikamaru almost spent 14 hours a day at the office to help Kakashi. But you knew that within a week or two things would normalize and set into order.
When you got home it was 10 PM, and even though you had only had a salad for breakfast with 12 granola bars distributed at odd intervals during your day, you were in no mood to eat. Honestly, that sounded like too much effort right now.
But then why did your feet take you to the kitchen? It was probably the copper smell in the air that got you worried. It could also be Akamaru barking with disapproving tones. Yes, you might have learned a thing or two about Akamaru in the past year.
With barely awake eyes and a really dazed mind, you entered the kitchen to find your boyfriend’s back to you, him facing the stove and your adorable little puppy barking continuously beside him. However, as soon as you entered Akamaru turned towards you, now wagging his tail and striding towards you. You smiled down at him, not actually having the energy today to pick him up and play with him like you usually did, hoping he’d understand. He was a smart pup after all.

You would have greeted Kiba like you usually did but before you could utter a single syllable, Akamaru jumped at you. You let out a short squeal which most definitely caught Kiba’s attention as he turned around looking surprised.
Akamaru however didn’t mean to play as you expected but instead his teeth nibbled on the wrist of your long sleeved top, and then he slightly dragged you to your loving boyfriend.
The thought that Akamaru was playing matchmaker to your already established relationship crossed your mind but that train of thought immediately went out the window when you saw Kiba’s palm sliced in half, the wound almost a centimetre deep.
Your lidded eyes opened and widened as you grabbed his hand and carefully looked at the gash, the amount of blood surprising you. He had, of course, survived worse injuries than this but why in the world was he bleeding so badly, when he was in Konoha instead of the battlefield, having spent the entire day at home with only laundry on his chore list. Also, you were protective of him because it didn’t hurt to care about your boyfriend a little.
“What the fuck, Kiba?’ you exclaimed and grabbed his hand, being as gentle as your anger allowed you to be, taking him the bathroom and nudging him to sit on the marble counter top. You grabbed the first aid kit from the shelves and started working on his hand. Halfway through, when all that was left was to bandage his hand, you had finally gathered your thoughts, pushing your sleep aside, which was easy considering Kiba gave you a rush of adrenaline as soon as you entered home, and looked at him worriedly.
“what happened Kiba? You know how worried I was?” Your disappointed mom look tugged at his heartstrings as smiled sheepishly with his uninjured hand rubbing the back of his head.
“I’m sorry darling, I was just hoping to cook something nice for you, you’ve been working yourself to the limit lately and don’t think I haven’t noticed you skipping meals.” His apologizing tone turned accusatory midway and you gulped.
“You could have ordered takeout baby. I really appreciate the gesture, I really do but don’t you know that the cooking stunts are to be performed in supervision only?” You slightly joked and giggled as he broke out into a toothy grin as well.
You finished bandaging his hand focused on knotting it/taping it at the end as his palm rested in two hands as you inspected it for the last time. Hopefully he didn’t need stitches so that was good.
Out of nowhere his other hand wrapped around your waist and pulled you towards him, your face crashing in his toned chest as you let out a yelp. When you pulled yourself back and looked up at him, his eyes were already focused on you, gazing at you so lovingly that you felt you were in paradise. You just wanted to grab his face and kiss him all over his face, starting at his nose and ending at his-
As if reading your thoughts, his injured hand’s index finger and thumb held your chin so delicately, with a feather like grasp and his pillowy lips crashed onto yours. You devoured each other, his eagerness showing how much he missed you, how aware he became of your absences these days and him not liking it one bit.
Needless to say, you were quite awake now.
You both ran out of breath and pulled away but your gazing constant didn’t end until a few minutes.
When Akamaru’s bark broke you both out of your trance, you intertwined his fingers with yours and pulled him upstairs with you towards the bedroom.
“Shouldn’t you eat something first? I will order some-”
“I’m hungry, but a lot more tired. Cuddle with me?”
“I’m offended you would even ask that.”
You both snuggled under the heavy duvet, with him spooning you from behind, Akamaru coming to lay at your feet.
“What were you cooking anyways? The gash was pretty deep.” You asked with closed eyes.
“I was planning on making pudding, it’s a good snack and a light one-”
“Babe, I’m pretty sure there is absolutely no step that requires a knife though.”
“I think you missed the step of breaking an egg using the ever helpful knife-”
“What the fuck do you mean you were trying to cut open the eggshell?! What even- You know, I can’t- Again what the actual fuck, Kiba?” you stumbled over your words, as you jerked out of his embrace and now faced him, with the most confused expression ever and your eyes as horrified as they can be. Your eyebrows scrunched in disbelief with your mouth so wide open that Kiba would have laughed at your adorableness was he not astonished at the piece of information he received.
“Are you sure (Y/N) bec-”
“Yes, I’m pretty fucking sure Kiba.”
“Well the recipe said to break three eggs and thought a knife would work but the egg rolled away while my hand came in between so….”
“So you chopped your hand off while doing the stupidest thing ever? I think it is the easiest step in any recipe, right after boiling water.”
Kiba lightly chuckled at that and replied, “Well, I’m your idiot anyways honey.”
“That you are. Please be cautious baby. How am I supposed to not worry when you are away on missions if I can’t even trust you in the kitchen?”
“Sorry for worrying you (Y/N).”
You lightly smiled and pecked his cheek, returning to your original position of being the small spoon.
“Hey Kiba?” You mumbled with closed eyes, right on the brink of falling sleep.
“Yes baby?” He asked, nuzzling in your hair, taking in its sweet scent.
“Please watch a fucking tutorial next time.”

March + April
March and April had been really eventful, and since I'm not really good at summarizing I'm just gonna list down everything.
Mar 6 - First time to glaze my fambam's pieces and some of my works at @potterysessions studio with Asis. Ms Cath was really accommodating. She showed us the process on how to properly glaze our works. I even saw Jezzel Wee & Aly of @manibalang! I had to take a photo with them because they're like the pottery senseis here in the PH. I got the finished pieces after a week. All of my mug works had cracks inside so all are not food safe. Will just sell it as decor/penholder/indoor small plant vase soon. Check out my pottery progress and works at @mud.play 
Mar 8 - After years of not paying my PhilHealth, I finally decided to pay my missed contributions.
Mar 11 - I got the results of my 2 film rolls. I miss shooting film! Can't wait to hold my camera again. Please be gone Covid, and shitty elected officials.
Mar 13 - We moved places, again. After staying for almost 2 years somewhere in Fairview, we finally decided to move near Munoz. Good thing our new place is on the ground floor! No more going up and down just to receive (a) package/s! Living on fifth floor with no elevator is no joke. The struggle to carry all our stuff when we did our grocery was real. Anyway, we still need to buy furniture/appliances for our new home. We're doing it little by little since we need to budget our expenses and monthly bills.
Mar 20 - Sudden getaway to San Juan, Batangas. The beach was not that nice but you know, being away from home, like going on vacay, was such a privilege now. It was a breath of fresh air, literally. The wind was nonstop.  After a year of not seeing the sea and the sunrise, and getting fresh air? It was indeed rewarding. Really grateful for that quick getaway with Asis' family.
I got a new job!!! I did it, mom. I was not confident with my interviews because my last interview was years ago. I honestly had hard time selling myself. The company employment process was really long. I actually had 5 or 6 interviews with different people. The process was nice, actually. I got to know other employees and the company. I was really praying to get the job. I manifested it using the Law of Attraction and voila, I got the job offer on my birthday! It was like a present! I was really happy and grateful. Anyhoo, I just got the equipment yesterday. Asis helped me set it up, and daaaang, cable management struggle is real! Will start on Monday. YAYYYY!
I had a lot of trips to the hospital for my checkups this year than I've ever had in my whole life. Soooo, after my minor surgery almost 3 months ago I had to return every now and then for my follow up checkups. I still have a scheduled check up next week and next month. Being sick is really expensive.
Apr 5 - Pap's Birthday
April 16 - My 28th birthday // Celebrated my birthday the next day since I had work on my birthday itself. Went to my parents' place and treated them samgyupsal at home.
Been reading my daily horoscope since April started. Most days it was accurate and it helped me make some decisions, and it sometimes inspires me to get things done.
Ever since this pandemic started I have built a strong relationship with one of my bestfriends. We talked mostly everyday, about anything under the sun, and if we are not annoying each other we played Valorant, or share playlists/ebooks/netflix recommendations. This pandemic deepened our bond and I'm grateful for her. Thanks, bbghorl, for keeping me sane and driving me insane all at the same time.
My hosting also expired last month. Didn’t renew it because it would costs me around 12k. I just want to blog for keepsake. I have no plans on making money with my website, so I canceled the hosting, but I can’t refund the 1 year renewal of my domain name: aprilrodea.com .. I’m now going to stay here on Tumblr because Blogspot editor is such a pain. How are you, guys? Do you still read long posts like this? Lol 
& since I like to keep track of everything, here are also the lists of the things I finished and bought. Yes, I really keep track of my stoneware mugs/cups purchases. Hahaha! (๑˘ㅂ˘๑)

When you woke up that morning, you felt your whole body was trying to protest for you to stay in bed. Yet, even if New Year’s Eve party had been really intense and the first day of the new decade had also been full of emotions, this day was also going to be remembered.
 Ben was still in bed next to you, snoring a little. Frankie was still sleeping as well on her little mattress, right next to him. Ben had offered her for Christmas the cutest blanket for her not to be cold during the nights. ‘After all, we sleep with blankets, why wouldn’t she?’, he had said when the little dog was unwrapping her present on Christmas day. You had sweetly smiled because you could not agree more. Ben was now part of your life and there was no way Frankie would not be part of it as well.
 You tried your best not to be noisy and got out of bed, finding your slippers where you had left them next to your bedside table. You also put your robe on as it was quite cold. You looked at the window and shivered as you noticed it was all frozen outside. You hoped it would not ruin all your plans. You took your phone and sent a text to Joe.
 ‘I’m up, making sure everything will be ready. Please don’t forget your part for our plan to be a success.’, was what you typed and you added an cute emoji before pressing send.
 A few minutes later, you received his answer. ‘Why on earth was he born such a day.... I’m still recovering from the holidays season. (laughing emoji) Don’t worry, I’ll be there soon, even if I have to borrow ice skates to get to you.’. You smiled and you were about to put your phone back on the table when it buzzed again. You tried to mute your laugh as Joe had send you another text. It was a gif of a random person sliding on ice and epicly falling on the floor.
 You headed to the kitchen and prepared coffee and tea. You also took Frankie’s little bowl and prepared her food as well. Hopefully, this cute dog had a great appetite and it was not hard to make her eat. You put her bowl on her tiny table and carried on setting the table, adding jam and bread, cereals and toasts.
 You heard someone dragging their feet and Ben appeared with Frankie in his arms, still quite sleepy. The two of them yawned together and you could see the two of them were trying really hard to open their eyes.
 “Mornin’ love.”, he pressed a kiss on your cheek and headed to the door that led to the tiny garden. He put Frankie’s little coat and she suddenly woke up with the fresh air, running a little here and there, sniffing around her. After she had done everything she needed to do, she came back at the door, barking a little for Ben to notice her. He welcomed her back in and they came back to the kitchen together. The man collapsed on the nearest chair and the dog headed to her bowl and started to eat.
 “Thank you for the breakfast, love.”, Ben said as he was now helping himself. “
 “No probs.”
 “Okay, next year, no parties.”, he carried on, putting a piece of toast in his mouth. “I’m exhausted.”
 “You say this every year.”, you laughed at him.
 “And now I need to exercice again. I’ve gained way too much in two weeks.”
 “Don’t worry, I love you just the way you are and everybody puts on weight during the holidays. And it’s cold, we need to keep warm.”, you replied as you began to sip your tea.
 “But, I’ve got my love to keep me warm.”, he winked at you.
 You looked at him with a smile and he smiled at you as well, biting his toast again. He groaned a little when someone knocked at the door, making Frankie bark again.
 “Comin’....”, Ben shouted towards the door and he stood up. You tried to make sure he did not notice you were laughing in your cup of tea. You heard him from the front door.
 “Hey, buddy, what’s up?”, he asked.
 “New Year resolutions day one, mate. Get ready to come and run with me.”, Joe said and you could hear he was pretending to be panting.
 “Mate, I’ve just woken up. And Y/N and I were having breakfast.”, Ben tried to find an excuse.
 “Well I would not mind a cup of tea thank you.”, Joe replied and he made himself at home. You saw him arrive in the kitchen and he winked at you.
 “Here is the most beautiful girl in the world !!!”, he happily said.
 Ben frowned at him but before he could say anything, Joe was already on the floor petting Frankie, saying cute things as her tail was gladly going right and left. He took her in his arms and stood up. He leant to kiss your cheek and took a seat as well, while Ben was pouring tea in his cup.
 “I can’t believe I’m the oldest here. Good lord, you should have a look at your faces....”, Joe joked.
 “Well, buddy, let me finish my breakfast and get dressed. Then we’ll see who is laughing.”, Ben replied, laughing.
 “Don’t push it too hard.”, you still warned them. “I don’t want any of you sick after this running session, okay?”
 “Why don’t you come?”, Ben gently asked.
 “Hell no.”, you replied. You tried to use a convincing tone. You knew run with Ben and Joe would certainly be a nice thing to do, but you still had many a thing to do. It seemed you persuaded him because he shrugged his shoulders and stood up to get dressed.
 “How much time do you need?”, Joe whispered when he was sure Ben would not hear him.
 “How long can you last without actually dying ?”, you could not help but reply, trying not to laugh. Joe looked daggers at you, pretending to be upset. “I’m kidding.... Well, I just need to make everything ready for the party and the cake should be delivered in an hour. Then while, he will be showering, I’ll be decorating the house a little.”, you explained.
 “Roger.”, he winked at you, still petting Frankie.
 “Ready, buddy?”, Ben came back in his tracksuit. You looked at him, swallowing a little. It was just incredible. This man was actually hot in any clothes. Never had you seen someone like this before. He was muscled but not too much, his woolly hat was covering his golden hair and his cheeks were slightly red due to the fact he was too warmly clothed to be inside. You came back to reality when he kissed your lips and whispered “See you, love.”
 “Let’s go.”, Joe stood up and sweetly put Frankie back on the floor.
 “Oh, before we leave.... Do we have a wheel chair, Y/N?”, Ben asked you.
 “A.... A wheel chair?”, you repeated frowning.
 “Don’t listen to him.... He is already making a fool of me, while he does not even know the athlete I am....”, Joe carried on as Ben headed to the door laughing. You smiled and closed the door behind them.
 You rushed to the shower to get ready before the delivery person would arrive with the cake. You hurriedly brushed your hair and your teeth (not with the same brush hopefully) and as you were putting your socks on, you heard a knock on the door.
 “Sign here, please.”, the woman almost automatically said as you opened the door. You did and took the big parcel. You went to hide it in the fridge, still full of food from the previous days. You also prepared all the decorations you had bought in advance to surprise Ben in several bags in the bedroom, under the bed.
 You stood up and asked Frankie to keep the secret until later in the day. She looked at you and it was as if she was smiling at you, promising she would not tell her dad anything. You heard keys in the front door lock so you headed to the corridor to welcome Ben and Joe back.
 Ben seemed happy and his face was gleaming, both from sweat and because of the fresh air. Joe on the other hand seemed devastated, but he was trying his best not to show it.
 “I’m first in the shower....”, the American announced, out of breath. Ben looked at him and laughed.
 “An athlete, my ass....”.
 Joe apologized and went to the bathroom while Ben prepared some of his clothes for him to borrow.
 “Was it so bad?”, you asked him.
 “Honestly, I’ve seen way worse.”, Ben replied. “He really gave his best, but I must admit I pushed him a little....”, he joked.
 You looked at him rolling your eyes. “Really, Jones?”
 “Okay, I was not at my best, it’s true.”, he confessed.
 “You should quit smoking as well.”, you reminded him.
 He grimaced a little but deep inside, he knew you were right.
 “Okay, I feel so much better now.”, Joe said, fully dressed with Ben clothes. The blonde then headed to the bathroom, as he too needed a good shower.
 Joe took his mobile out of his pocket and send multiple texts to everyone you had invited, to make sure they would arrive before he would have finished. You came back in the living room with the bags full of decorations and put a banner on the wall while Joe was blowing up the balloons. As you had left the door opened, the guests arrived, notifying their presence with a soft knock on the door. You looked around you and everything was ready. You went to the kitchen and put the candles on the cake. 29 to be precise.
 You heard he was coming back from the bathroom so you quickly lighten them up and arrived in the living room at the same time he did. Everyone shouted ‘Surprise’, and Ben started while Frankie was happily jumping all around him.
 “What’s happening here?”, he asked.
 “Happy Birthday !!!”, your common friends carried on shouting.
 You placed the cake on the table and he came next to you and kissed your cheek, whispering ‘Thank you, love’. He blew his candles and everyone applauded. You cut the cake as Joe was licking the candles before putting them back in the kitchen. You served everyone drinks and a piece of cake and the party began with soft jazzy style music.
 Ben took you closer to him, pressing your body against his. He slowly began to dance with you, his cheek against yours.
 “Happy Birthday, Jones.”, you whispered.
 “Thank you again, love.”
 “I hope you did not forget to make a wish.....”
 “I did not.”
 “What? Why?”, you looked at him in his so beautiful eyes.
 “Look around you honey and find something I could still be wishing for?”
 You sweetly smiled and kissed him. It was a very happy birthday indeed.

Beach Date with Akaashi [Headcanons] (gender neutral!reader)
Request: So like... they go and have a swim at the beach... and then they like have a picnic and... sit there?? And idk maybe read or just stargaze or talk?? And like, he brings his sweatshirts, one for him and one for her? And while they talk/read/stargaze, they lowkey flirt but it’s like fluffy flirting “I like seeing you blush” “that’s so cute when you *habit*” “you look nice in my hoodie” and then he drops you home just a couple minutes late... because you walked home.
This is a request from my friend Rumi. She wanted me to write about her ideal date, so I hope you guys enjoy this too!
Akaashi probably wouldn’t show it much, but the truth is that he ADORES the beach. The sand, the waves, the air; You can see it in the way his eyes smile a little more than usual when you guys arrive at your destination
The first thing you guys do is set up at one of the tables and eat something
He brings onigiri of course, not that you minded. He always makes some just the way you like it
If you don’t like onigiri, let him know and he’ll make whatever else you like to eat but he definitely makes some onigiri for himself
You bring some food too, but it’s mostly snacks and drinks you guys plan to eat after you go swimming
While you two eat, Akaashi notices that you have a crumb/piece of rice stuck at the corner of your lips. You’re telling him a childhood story and pause suddenly as he gently wiped at the food
Your eyes go a little wide at the contact and you BLUSH so hard
He lightly chuckles at your reaction and explains, “You had a little food there, silly.” “Oh. T-thanks.” “Of course.”
He’s feeling a little cheeky in that moment, so he pecks the corner of your mouth and smirks at you. You whine his name and drag out the last syllable and he just laughs at your flustered state
“You’re so cute when you blush.” “You’re blushing too-” “That’s irrelevant.”
Despite Akaashi’s impressive maturity level, he most definitely doesn’t listen when someone tells him to wait an hour after eating before getting in the water 
He drags you with him whether you like it or not, and you just HAVE to give in because this is obviously his happy place
Most teenage boys would probably compliment their date’s swimsuit, but Akaashi doesn’t really notice that stuff (yet)
oh man, just wait till you guys are a little older... wink wink
ANYWAY he loves to float on the water with or without a floatie. He could be there for what felt like hours and you would sink into the water a little bit, admiring how serene the beautiful boy in front of you was
That is, until you got so bored that you decided to try and flip him over
he did not take it well
He chased you into the deeper part of the ocean and you continued to erupt in laughter. when he finally caught you in his grasp, he lifted you up and tossed you about. You both were in such a bliss and hearing him laugh was like hearing an angel sing just for you
After you two had gotten tired of the water you went out to clean yourselves up and change. The sun was nearly finished setting and the sky grew into a beautiful dark blue. As if he was reading your mind, Akaashi asked you something

He puts on the playlist you two made a while back and you two set a blanket on the sand and laid there
You two started to talk about everything, beginning from how the date has been to quantum physics (he totally researches it in his free time, change my mind)
A particularly interesting topic came up and you started to go on a full ramble. Akaashi loves when you do this no matter if you talk a lot or not at all. Hearing your voice speak so passionately is his ear candy
He interrupts you for a little bit and says, “I love when you get like this. Hearing you talk like this helps me relax. I love it.”

You don’t really know what to do other than laugh and blush, so you propped yourself up on one of elbows and kiss his forehead, earning a rosy-cheek Akaashi. You repeat his earlier words to him, “You’re so cute when you blush.” “Shut up.”
The two of you continue to talk and cuddle until it’s late and you realized you needed to get home soon. And lucky for you, you guys decided to walk to the beach. yayyyy
The walk wasn’t bad at all. Actually, it was amazing and romantic being under the street lights and holding hands, occasionally smooching every now and then
However, you were FREEZING. Why did you decide to wear shorts and a thin shirt and forget your jacket?
Akaashi’s stupidly attentive eyes notice you rubbing your arm in an attempt to be warm, he stops and takes off his hoodie and offers it to you
“Akaashi it’s okay-” “Just take it, darling. Please?”
How could you not?
When you finally arrived to your house you turned to him and gave him a sweet smile. He returned it
“Thank you for today. It was great.” “I wouldn’t have wanted to spend the day with anyone else.”
Your hand cups his face and brings him close and his hand gently brings you closer as well
The kiss only lasted a moment though, and your door opened up to one of your family members who happened to be EXTREMELY protective of you.
your relative separates you too and threatens Akaashi, but you know they don’t mean any harm
You tell them to go back inside and to let your parent/guardian know that you were home
They huff but do as they’re told, still glaring at Akaashi as they closed the door
“Sorry about that. Now, where were we?”
You two sharing another cuteass kiss without any interruptions
“Goodnight, y/n. I’ll text you tomorrow, okay?”
You nod and smile at him and then say, “Goodnight, Akaashi.”
He waves at you and watches you enter your house and close the door, only making his way home once he knew you were safe inside
“...So how was the date?” “Shut up.”

Can't sleep so I'll tell you the day I had,,
As usual I woke up later than I should, about quarter to 2pm I didn't get up until it was almost 3 then go on about my day as usual. I showered, ate lunch as I watch stupid vids on the internet lol, then pushed myself into studying by making myself busy aka putting it on live so I won't touch it and scroll and go to a different dimension thru a rabbit hole.
I studied until I finished several laboratory papers that I needed to pass and played Tetris for a bit before following them (my fam) downstairs to have dinner,,, thennn I was supposedly gonna get back on studying (completing tasks) but tinatamad rin talaga ako, scroll Scroll Lang tas ayaw rin magbukas Ng school website, apaka bagal hhaaha
Mayamaya nagyaya na si ridgey ng Tetris kala ko nagbibiro lang siya (he's a Tetris God, I'm a noob),, he even said 'soft drop lang all no hard drop' hahahaha kala ko joke pa rin I responded 'tsaka na, papalakas muna ako' then inulit niya na kaya nga soft drop lang para impaired raw siya haahhaha now I have no reason to say no other than hiya but ridgey is very patient with me and very encouraging kaya mejo gumaan naman pakiramdam ko and told him na wait wiwi lng aq HAHAHAHAHA
He then sent me a link, we play at tetr.io,,, we r friends there, he added me when he peaked at my nickname there hahahaha (another Stori?) Anyway, he said I'll start it when u say g for then I replied g hshshshs
We played first to five xD he is goddamn fast even with only soft drop and may I remind u kinakabahan ako like literal shaking hahahahaha but I'm smiling and laughing all throughout it's dumb 😆😆😆 surprise surprise I lost HAHAHAHA HE GOT 5/5 THE ROUND and it wasn't very hard for him,,, 😆😆 and me,, well I was still laughing and smiling at myself lmao, through the game I get mentally blocked and freeze, not knowing where to put the pieces and ending up with a bigstack and and the garbage keep piling up 😭😭😭
Then comes the second round,,, I think I kinda calmed down a little bit, I won the first game hahahaha then kinabahan ulit ako nagmamadali ako pero kung sansan ko nalalagay Yung pieces HAHAHAHAH he won again 😆😆
Third round,,,, nawala na Kaba ko pero mejo nabablock pa Rin talaga ako sa kaba and excitement perhaps hahahahaha but charannnn I wonnn, not by lot, at one point we have a 2-2 score hahaha. Di ko alam Kung nagpatalo lang siya pero di nmn ako ganun Ka noob hahaha A na rin Naman ranking ko (well he's S na ata, but him only using soft drop I think we r about the same range HAHAHAHAHA)
Everytime I won I got excited and chat yayyyy and he'd go AAAAAA on the chatbox, he even said ayaw niya na raw natatalo na Siya nung 2nd game ng round na yon, jokingly of course hahahaha, I find it funny hahaha 😆 by the 3rd time he yayyyyed with me 😆😆😆
Nung una dapat one game lng since dapat nga magaaral pa ko but nagyaya siya isa pa, then ako nmn nagyaya kasunod haahhahaa tas naexcite ako kaya nakadalawa pa kaming 1st to one ata hhahahaha pero he used hard drop' na non e madaya nanalo agad 😤😤
He then said after the last game na ok no more na HAHAHHAHA messenger na raw uli chat (Sabi ko ayoko Hahah, umalis rin siya agad Ng room 😆)
He asked me if I had fun,,, I answered uu,, Kasi I did Naman talagaaa so muchhh funnn
Next time raw laro ulit Kami pag na practice ko na finesse,,, told him matagal pa kasi I'll study pa and finish some shit, nakakahiya naman kako sa kanyang PL 😆😆 (I mean it 1/3)
Then I told him I had so much funnnnn
Sabi nya kahit raw ba ang lumabas e parang binully niya ako HAHAHAHA He's so cute 😆😆 I didn't feel that naman, pure joy, enjoyment and excitement ang pakiramdam ko hahahaha
And I'm writing about it now kasi I still feel so happy idk what's with me today but I am very happy hahahahha and excited and shit and I cry from being so happy it's weird hahahs
In conclusion, I had a good and fun day and a memorable night with ridgey hahahssh I'm glad Di ako tumanggi

I can cook, I don’t think I’m particularly good one naturally though! ^^” I just follow recipes exactly… and it normally turns out okay!! XD
2. Tony Tony Chopper: Do you have a sweet tooth?
YES, definitely!! I’m terrible haha, I eat way too many sweet things! >.
3. Nico Robin: What was the first book that you can remember reading?
I have no idea, but the earliest memory I have of actively reading a series is the Series of Unfortunate events so let’s go with that! 
4. Eustass Kid: Do you think that you are handy with electronics?
I’m pretty handy! Phones I’m kinda iffy with, but laptops, computers, consoles etc. I’m generally quiet good with! I had to help out with a number of technical difficulties during my rotations actually, no one else could figure it out haha…
5. Jewelry Bonney: Do you enjoy buffets?
YES, I absolutely love them! I have a small appetite (eating little and often rather than a lot at once), but at buffets I absolutely have to try everything and generally go all out! :P  
6. Urouge: If you had wings, where would you fly to?
Japan, because I really wanna go and I’m terrified of planes…! 
7. Boa Hancock: Do you believe in love at first sight?
Definitely not, since I think personality plays a major role in love so!
8. X Drake: If your dad was a pirate, and you were captured by Marines would you serve for them?
No, I don’t think so… I know nothing about real world pirates and Marines lol, so giving this a more detailed answer on a One Piece slant, the Marines are so corrupt I don’t think I’d ever serve for them, I’d rather be a pirate… although there are some Marines I would definitely serve under if I had to be a Marine (Smoker, Tashigi, Fujitora, Coby, etc.), you know… the ones with a decent sense of justice lol… 
9. Donquixote Doflamingo: If you were the king of your own empire, what would it be called and what kind of place would it be?
Ohh, emm… I’m really un-inventive so I have no idea what I’d call it… but I’d definitely like for it to be like Dressrosa (before Doffy took over obviously!), so like… a relatively warm/tropical place with a lot of culture and a really good sense of community!
10. Sengoku: Do you enjoy senbei?
I’ve actually never had them, but I think I’d like them as an odd snack, I don’t think they’d be one of my fave things though!
11. Akainu: What kind of justice do you believe in?
Well not Akainu’s anyway… >.> This is a very difficult question to answer, I thought about this for a while… I think there should be somewhat of a correlation between severity of a crime or action and the consequence of said action, but I definitely think that justice should have a sense of ‘heart’ rather than being purely a ‘head’ thing, if that makes sense… (something Akainu severely lacks) I don’t think every situation should fall under a same set of rules as there are always some differences that may require two similar situations to be handled and dealt with differently. 
Using One Piece as an example, I think the way Fujitora dealt with the whole Dressrosa issue was fantastic, it’s one of the reasons he’s one of my favourite Marines, and he’s such an excellent contrast to Akainu in the narrative of the show. I think Luffy has a really excellent sense of justice too! 
12. Tashigi: Do people ever tell you that you look like someone they know?
I was once told I look like Gwyneth Paltrow but I really don’t think so at all haha… also, I was cosplaying Shirley from Code Geass at a con one time and I met Hirokatsu Kihara (an anime writer/producer who worked on Code Geass), and he told me I actually looked really like Shirley so that was pretty neat haha! XD
13. Marco: If you could have any devil fruit, what would it be?
Ohh man emm, I think it’s gotta be Law’s, the Ope Ope no Mi/Op-Op fruit, it would be really handy from a surgical/veterinary point of view haha! You could also have a lot of fun with it too, with the personality swap thing and stuff… :’)
Also, contrary to popular opinion, I really like Rocinante/Corazon’s devil fruit, the Nagi Nagi no Mi/Calm-Calm fruit, sometimes I think it would be nice to just block out sound for a bit you know lol… it would be handy for sneaking around too :P
14. Zeff: If you were stranded on a rock with a bag of gold, a bag of food, and a scrawny hungry child, would you eat your foot?
Whyyy haha! No, I really don’t think I would…!! 
15. Absalom: If you could be invisible, where is the first place you would go?
Hmm… I’d probably just go wandering around at night or something haha, I’m such a night person but obviously wandering around or going for a walk in the dark can be a bit dodgy and can be kinda scary depending on where you are, so… I’d just like to go for a relaxing night time stroll haha! That’s such a simple answer sorry haha
16. Monet: Do you enjoy writing? Share a snippet?
Yes, I love writing!
A young man stood in the middle of avast, empty room. Large, gold pillars stood around at intervals, anarmored guard with spear in-hand stationed at each one. Tapestries of varyingcolours and sizes were dotted along the walls, intricate designs and scenes stitched onto every piece. An older, irritated lookingman sat at the top of the room on a throne-like chair. A women stood to hisright, her eyebrows furrowed in concern. 
The room was eerily silent as thetwo men stared each other down. No one spoke for some time until the quiet was broken by a loud, booming voice that seemed as if it could bring the very walls down. 
 “I’m starting to get sick of your endless whining, boy,” the man on thethrone growled, “every day you come in here spouting the same nonsense, andevery day I tell you the same thing – it’s not happening.”
 “But it is NOT nonsense!” the young man retorted, “if you left thecastle you would see it for yourself! Our people are starving! There is no food!Their fields have been destroyed by the stupid war that you have started andthe neighbouring countries will not import anything because they don’t want tohave anything to do with us!”
 “Enough! Not another word out of your mouth! I’m the one in charge here now in case that has slipped your mind!Get out of my sight before I have you forcibly removed!”
 There was a short moment of silence. The tension in the air was palpable.
  “I’m notleaving this time…” the young man continued, his hands clenched into fists, ‘not this time…”
I’ve never put any of my writing on here I’m kinda self conscious, but anyway there it is, it’s done now… ^^”

Day 8: Compass
Originally, I was going to write a Genshin Impact au with Luke as Paimon and Beel as the traveller, and of course Belphie would be the Traveller’s sibling. But, well, you see- first of all, I don’t play Genshin. I know the basic plots though! Second, I’ve lost all motivations in writing a fluffy story. I really wanted to write that Genshin au but it just makes me mad because Genshin keeps crashing on my phone and PC so if any of you all write a Genshin au pls tag me I’d read it
Warnings: Angst, Torturing and Murder (although not graphic. You think I can write graphic scenes? Well you’re wrong), Major Character(?) Death (spoilers: it isn’t the Obey Me cast), No Happy Ending but comfort will be there (A little though, so don’t count on it too much since it’s not for Luke)

“I’ve got to go, Athena. I’ll visit tomorrow! And I promise I’ll bring more sweets,” Luke said as he got up from beside the... well, we wouldn’t quite know how to call it. It looked terrifying but it apparently had a golden heart, towards Luke anyways. 
Luke found Athena when he was running from the school. He felt as if he wanted to cry any moment, but he couldn’t just do that around Simeon, Solomon and the demons! It was always the demons’ fault! To avoid being seen, Luke ran to somewhere he didn’t even knew. At some point, he realized he was lost and did the most sensible thing he could think of, panic.
As he was looking around, something - a creature, saw him and was pretty defensive as they hissed at him. Luke froze and stared at the creature before holding out his hand hesitantly. He did this to every creature he met so that he could gain their trust. The creature - who was Athena, sniffed his hand.
“I’m not going to hurt you! I promise,” Luke said softly. Athena sniffed his hand once more before bumping her nose(?) on Luke’s palm. Luke gasped softly and giggled, feeling that she was very fluffy. 
“See, I’m not bad! And I’m pretty sure YOU aren’t bad too!” he gushed. Athena seemed to understand him - like all others he communicated with and chuffed out, seemingly happy. 
“Maybe, since you’re here, I can stay longer. You won’t mind, right?” Luke questioned. Athena paused for a moment before she shook her head. Although she looked very - intimidating, Luke felt very safe around her. Safer than he was in a school of demons anyways.
So that’s how it ended up to him visiting her everyday. He occasionally brought her some sweets since he found out she liked them. Solomon noticed and liked to tease him about the fact that he finally made himself a friend. Luke would’ve been mad, but he couldn’t argue about the fact Athena IS his friend!

“Athena? Hello?” Luke called out. He was getting worried since by now Athena would’ve came out already. Maybe she was asleep? It was rare but there was once when Luke searched and searched and found that Athena was just passed out. The next day, Athena gave him a flower as an apology and Luke gladly accepted it, but told her that it was alright. 
He was getting pretty tired from walking around so he assumed it was the same case, so he followed the trail he made (so that he wouldn’t get lost anymore) and walked back. He got a text from Simeon a while ago when he was walking in the forest that they were all going to be at the Demon Prince’s castle for some reason. So, he went there of course.
As he went in, he heard a very familiar (toofamiliar,whywasathenanotthereandwhyistheroarsosimilartohers) and it sounded like it was in pain. Luke was curious, but for some reason his heartbeat sped up. A lot. He was even sweating from anxiety (whydidhefeelanxious) and he felt like he was going to throw up. He heard another pained sound, which sounded very close to a whine and he immediately ran towards the noise. 
Luke opened the doors and he froze, whether because he was shocked or terrified he could not tell. But later, if you had to ask him, he would’ve said despair. 
“Luke! What are you doing here? Aren’t you usually visiting you’re...friend right now?” Simeon asked as he walked towards Luke, covering the sight of Athena being tortured (andmurdered,theyweremurderingher).
“Wha- what are you doing?” Luke whispered in horror. 
“Oh! We’ve been trying to find this monster (monstermonstermonster...yourethemonsternow) for a long time now. It’s extremely dangerous and it has harmed a few hundred demons for a while,” one of the demon brothers chided, but Luke didn’t pay attention to them. He watched, frozen as Lucifer continued torturing Athena and she roared out in pain. It was such a loud noise.
“Sorry, Luke. I didn’t want you seeing this. It’s extremely graphic,” Simeon apologized as he attempted to cover Luke’s eyes and ears. Imagine his surprise as Luke slapped Simeon’s hands away as Athena dropped to the ground, roars now reducing to pitiful whimpers. 
“It’s going to die soon. We’re letting it die on it’s own,” Lucifer sighed tiredly as he walked towards Diavolo and Barbatos who was standing with the others.
“ATHENA!” Luke cried out as he ran towards her, ignoring the yells and calls of the others (monsters,theyallare.whydidtheydothis.why.why.why.why.why.why).
“Luke! Come back! It’s very danger-”
“SHUT UP!” Luke shouted in anguish and everyone stared at the angel who was currently sobbing.
“Athena, hey... hey, I’m right here,” he stammered out. Athena managed to open her eyes a little and she let out a small whine, although it sounded like a sound a mother would make to try and comfort her child.
“You’re going to be alright, I promise. I’m not letting you slip away from me,” he whispered, even though in reality there was nothing he could do. Everyone tried to walk to Luke but the angel kept glaring at them with eyes so cold and harsh for someone like him. Athena then made a noise between a chuff and a whine, and Luke carefully took her head and hugged it softly.
“I promise. When you’re alright, we’ll build the biggest tree house on a pine tree. If we ever have secrets we can whisper them to flowers and bury them underground. When you’re alright, we can go to the ocean, yeah? We’ve always talked about that,” Luke’s voice started to quiver as he held Athena’s fur a little more tightly, and all the others could do was watch. 
“When you’re alright, you’ll take me to your home. Your real one! I know you weren’t born here, you’re too beautiful for that. When you’re alright, we’ll make our own paradise!” Simeon widened his eyes at the younger, along with Solomon and the others. Luke has never spoken like that, believing that the Celestial Realm was their paradise. “We can make a lot of memories! It’ll be ours to keep.”
“If you can’t be alright, I’ll help you! I can make a special compass, like the one we’ve been working on so that I don’t get lost in the forest anymore. Except, that compass only points to me! Like that, if anything happens, we can still be together! That compass will bring us closer to each other so we’ll never be apart!”
“If you can’t heal yourself, I’ll take the broken pieces and I’ll put them back together!” Luke’s voice kept breaking after each sentence. “If the grass isn’t green enough, or the flowers aren’t lively enough, we’ll build ourselves a new world!”
“Wherever you go when you’re finally alright, I’ll be there with you - one day. It doesn’t matter if you’re way high up in the galaxy or in the depth of the sea, I’ll always be there!”
“So please, please be alright,” Luke whispered out this last sentence in desperation. The others were already in disbelief and confusion, while realization it Solomon when he saw Luke giving Athena the sweets he always brought to go outside to meet his... friend.
“Oh, we messed up,” Solomon whispered. Everyone whipped their heads to look at him. “Luke made a friend. We’ve established that. We just didn’t realize the friend he made was...” Solomon cut himself off as he gulped. Everyone else just stiffened as realization hit them too.
“They call you a monster but I promise Athena, you aren’t,” Luke whispered. “They’re the ones who are the monsters, trying to hurt you.”
Athena let out something akin to a sigh, and it sounded satisfied. Luke let out a shaky breath and petted Athena as she closed her eyes once more.
“You promise me, Athena. You promise me you’re going to be alright.”
The silent sobs that followed felt like a thousands stabs in the heart to the others. The pure happiness and innocence Luke used to carry disappeared, leaving only emptiness and despair.

Fear 06/06/20
So I've talked about many things in my recent bogs bit have not spoken about the limitations that come with having anxiety. This, as per usual had a trigger warning for self-harm anxiety, sexual assault and also suicide mentions, oh and stalking if that's a trigger (funnnn yayyyy).
In the past, I have let my anxiety take over my life in certain parts as a child I was timid. I hated talking to others and struggled to ask for help in class. I was mostly alone and hated most the attention on me so, therefore, I didn't like my birthday because this was always all on me.
My anxiety started to get really bad in year 7 when I started the shithole school I was at, it tore my mental health apart and threw the bits in the air as they celebrated the victory of taking my life over. I thought being shy was just me being nervous. I enjoyed drama a lot I used to do productions outside of school. As soon as it hit GCSE, I did take drama I never regretted it my teacher was very helpful when it came to anxiety and stuff so she would let me do my performances in front of her. One of my friends would do the lighting and encourage me. It helped to have that connection with her that she'd look out for me.
Once college started, I gave up participating in performances. My Anxiety and panic attacks took over me. It was like a wave had suddenly hit me. I was stuck under a stream of anxiety, panic attacks and other mental illnesses. I could barely breathe its what anxiety felt like my panic attacks were very regular id have at least 5 a day just thinking about going outside because people will look at me and judge me it didn't help alongside this I had a lot of stuff to deal with my home life, My self harm my depression and other lovely wonderful traumas.
So after school, I gave up the thing I loved the most drama I used to love being able to be someone else for that hour and forget the problems I used to love the feeling of thinking of a drama piece and being able to script it and performed I loved it.
As soon as college, my anxiety as I have said already got very bad unbearable it began to be bad at the end of school. Still, I continued in drama my panic attacks were bad though before any drama lesson id go into the bathroom have a panic attack self-harm and go in with a smile like nothing had just happed my friend at the time also got anxious about performing wed help each other out with it.
Throughout college, I lost this interest in drama the thought of performing made me feel sick even going to college was enough to trigger a panic attack and Id have multiple in the daytime college first year wasn't a pleasant experience in college was the 2nd time id been sexually assaulted by the same person the college never helped it was traumatising it was on one of the days I had math tutoring my tutor was lovely. She was worried about me this whole experience knocked my anxiety far back and took the person I used to be I was a shadow of myself I still am working on getting that light again,And getting who I used to be back. I'm not going into the assault, but I will do in another blog.
 I will say as much as I hated the job sometimes it helped me a bit with my anxiety as I serve people ice cream, so I have to socialise this did help me massively.
Second-year came around the first day I went to induction was hard as by my previous college I was told id never get far. I wouldn't be able to achieve, so they offered me to do my GCSEs again. I had passed English, and the way that college treated me made me feel was awful. So I moved the morning of induction day I felt sick as frick. It wasn't pleasant. I   had few panic attacks in the quiet corner of the bus and went in it turned to out to be a good day.
I had applied for a course in level 2., but the guy I talked to said I had enough grades to get into level 3 so it was good.
I  got into level three, My anxiety was still terrible. I barely spoke to anyone in the first week or so.
I would wait until the tutor let us go and id practically run out the classroom to either the library or home depending on whether it was hometime or not I was too anxious to socialise with anyone I was like this all the time.
I never asked for help when I needed it having my learning difficulties really affected this as well, I struggled with my written work and maths but was too anxious to ask for help, and I was dyspraxic as fuck.
The third year in college was very hard as all of my friends had moved on and moved off of college or different courses. I struggled with my anxiety massively. After all of my issues, I was back in therapy and finally diagnosed with  Major depression, social anxiety disorder and generalised anxiety disorder which I was given medication for. Still, they ended up triggering a lot of panic attacks at the start but began to help after a while.
 I hid away a lot when I wasn't at college, in fact, my anxiety got so bad that in march of 2019 I gave college up didn't go to college whatsoever my anxiety had got me into a vicious circle of not going in and then getting too anxious to go back into college. So I gave up luckily, my college was still able to give me a qualification they took into account my awful mental state.
My mum has never been the nicest to me, so she didn't know when I was at college I was actually at my mate's house I couldn't face telling them I had a bad panic attack every time I thought about it so they would meet me every morning and id go to their house for the day then come back home after and act like it was college.
Around this time was the time I had an issue with a stalker he was on the bus one day and asked where a particular stop was so I being a good bean I told him, it happened to be the same one as me. That was that reasonable right? Yes, but it wasn't after some time he'd wait for me at the bus stop and 'walk with me' aka stalk me home I was clever though and went to a completely different area and said that was my house and waited till he fucked off. Then id go back I would get into shit for being late home my parents were assholes about it I didn't tell them about all of this.
This went on for about a month, and then I told my friend he encouraged me to call the police. So I did he was there for it he helped me through it. They gave me a lot of support throughout all of this, which set my anxiety off very severely, but they understood my situation.
One evening I was in my room heard a knock at the door my dad got it and called me I came down the stairs and my heart sunk it was the police, I felt so sick in my throat. And I sheepishly walked down the stairs and into the front room. They came to have a chat about all of this, and they were lovely police officers and was very understanding. I think they could see how anxious I was.
After this, I went back upstairs after trying to fight off a panic attack for the whole meeting thingy if you can call it that in the living room. I got upstairs, and my mum shouted for me. I got yelled at for having a stalker, yes I got punished because some dude decided 'hey imma stalk you now give you lifelong trauma' it's not like I was like 'HEY STALK ME' It was rough I went back into my room cut and had a panic attack and cried myself to sleep. You know that feeling when you're in your room trying not to cry too loud holding your hand on your mouth trying not to let anyone hear you well that was what it was like that night. I fell asleep with a blade in my hand crying wishing i wasn't born.
Ever since that I haven't gotten off at the stop in the centre, I always get off early I'm too scared to do otherwise and get off in the usual place.
Summer was hard for my anxiety especially with university coming closer and closer, and I didn't know what was going on with it this was making me more and more anxious my home situation wasn't too great either.
 I wanted to get out of my home. Still, I didn't know what was happening with it once I found out where I was going I didn't have time to think about it as that week I had to apply for accommodation then that weekend I was moving in the next day freshers week began. I was anxious and too scared to trust people being in a flat was hard. Still, I met some pretty amazing people in this I would not change this for anything if the other university asked me  I would turn it down anyway because I'm happy with where I am.
I feel like university has changed me yes I was very very anxious at the start and have had ups and downs with it with my mental health the trauma train making a lot of stops in my head. With the downs, I have met many amazing people. I have even gotten back into drama with doing musical theatre yes I did stop it for a bit, but that was when shit hit the fan again. My medication started up again. I loved musical theatre it helped me with my anxiety a lot. I met lots and lots of lovely human beings there. They are like a family even though I wasn't noticed much I was always quiet and to myself so I don't think I really made an impact on anyone there. Still, oh well they helped me a lot.
 But there you go another blog of Dino chats shit gets distracted goes off-topic went back onto topic and written over one thousand words. Fun.
But thank you all for reading my shitty blogs more about me complaining about how rough life can be and how shit things are. Still, they do get better I promise you this is probably the shittest blog I've done as I've kinda slightly rushed it I wanted to get it up for yall as I've been saying for ages ill upload (Not that anyone actually follows my blogs oof)But I did it anyway

I had my little munchkin, my bundle of joy in my arms along with my older naughty brat and life could not have been happier. Months rolled on taking care of my wonderful little treasure while pursuing a full time career that knew no hours of travel and work.
A year went by and it was little one’s first birthday. Saree was my choice for outfit for the party. To my worst nightmare despite all my endeavors to shrink myself and squeeze in, I had to put away one blouse after the other! Angered, I took out the weighing scale and checked the reading. Alarmed! As if it were a ghost. It read 74.6! I reset the scale to recheck as if the machine would show a different reading to please me! Again it said, 74.6.
I had always been in a great shape and looked younger than my age. Even after my first delivery, I shelled the extra pounds over couple of months. An unknown and undoubtedly annoying sound reverberated calling me FAT. I remembered my sister jokingly telling me that I looked like an amma. Though that time I had retaliated telling her that well yes I am amma of two!
I am 161 cm and medium built. By no means could I call myself fit at 74.6 kgs! That day I pulled up a pair of jeans with a pullover for the party. It was almost the end of December 2014. My New Year Resolution was Weight Loss. Weight loss! OMG that too almost 15 kgs! I was 26 years and 52 kg before my first pregnancy. Post-partum my weight stabilized at 57 kgs and since I looked almost toned, I really did not care about it. I had tried  gym once earlier out of hobby and I so well remembered how I wasted the subscription! The entire hour I spent there was at looking at the clock to shout out loud that it was sixty minutes and time to leave! Crazy dieting; well no way was this my choice. Outdoors anyways gave me nightmares with so many dogs around and my scared soul finding corners to evade them. In short, I was totally confounded with the how part. Eventually I resorted to Google baba to look for ‘my kind’ of means to smoothen my tyres.
Having done all this research, I realised working out was the only choice available apart from the 7 day GM diet (in which you can eat the permitted item/s for the day in as much quantity as your body demands) (you may like to read thru the link that acted like a blessing in that time of crisis https://www.thefitindian.com/the-fastest-indian-vegetarian-diet-to-lose-weight/).
My exercise regime comprised of-
10 minutes of warm up
45 minutes of cardio including treadmill, cross-trainer and stationary bike
30 minutes of strength training one body part each day
20 minutes of floor exercises and yoga on alternate days

I had the temptation of climbing up the weighing scale every single day to check for any improvement but in vain 😦 But let me admit, though my body did feel soar with its new routine, even if there was no change in weight, I did feel more vibrant and energized even in the first week! I kept wondering how I had not enjoyed working out earlier! On the lighter side, maybe I enjoy bigger challenges more 🙂 After I got my body accustomed at the gym for a week, I started with first day of GM diet. Being a vegetarian, I searched for the veg version of the program. Exercise was supposed to be light to moderate on these days. Since eating was confined to select items on each day, I decided just to go for cardio, floor or yoga sessions on these days and skip strength that requires lots of protein intake after the regime.
Day 1       Morning weight 74.5 kg
The first day is supposed to be the Fruit Day (minus mangoes and grapes). It was the month of February and I spent the day munching on apples, pomegranates, guavas and oranges. The motivation to get lean was so strong that I truly did not feel hungry.
Day 2       Morning weight 73.5 kg (OMG! OMG! OMG! 1 kg gone in a single day)
On the second day of the GM diet one is supposed to eat only Vegetables that could be raw, boiled or very lightly sauteed. However, one can start with a boiled potato with butter in the morning. I had bought the exotic vegetable stock the day before only and likewise commenced the day with paraboiled assortment of peas, beans, carrots, broccoli, red and yellow peppers and cauliflower. I added a little of lemon, white pepper and oregano to make it more sumptuous and had the same combo the entire day. The day went rather effortlessly with gym time in the evening.
Day 3       Morning weight 72.5 kg (Gracious God! another 1 Kg gone!)
Day three is a mix of fruits and vegetables. Apart from fruits and the remaining stock from day 2, I ate raw carrots, beetroot, cucumbers and lettuse leaves too. Again the day was not harsh on the tummy that otherwise solicited chocolates and pizzas! Ofcourse, two kgs lost in a matter of two days were an unmatched piece of motivation.
Day4       Morning weight 72 kg (Dissapointment followed by consolation… atleast .5 kg gone lady!)
The fourth day is the banana (upto 6) and skimmed milk (upto 1 litre) day. I prepared banana shake right in the morning with 5 bananas and 1 litre milk and kept sipping through the same the entire day.
Day 5       Morning weight 71 kg (yayyyy another 1 kg gone!)
On GM diet, Day five is a blessed kind of a day on which one can munch on soya nuggets, paneer, tomatoes, boiled rajma, soup made of capsicums, tomatoes, onion, ginger and garlic. While I preferred having boiled kidney beans with chopped onion, tomato and cucumber with lemon juice in the morning, I chose to eat brown rice with paneer and soya chunks for lunch and soup for dinner. In between meals I kept munching on raw salad.
Day 6       Morning weight 71 kg (Oops no change)
I surely was disappointed having lost no weight on day five and kept cursing myself for probably having eaten too much (while now I realise that was not true). Nevertheless, this was to be a tomato free day while all ingredients of day five could be consumed. Despite initial shock, I did not let my morale go down and ate safe meals comprising of raw fruits and veggies alsong with soup. I also had moong dal dprout salad for dinnere along with soup ofcourse hoping to see some better result the follwing day.
Day 7       Morning weight 70.5 kg (thank God for this .5 kg)
Well yes, I was feeling much lighter and brighter by day seven. I was happy to have managed to shell 4 kgs of weight which otherwise I could not do 14 months after my second delivery! The entire day was spent munching on fruits and vegetables. I had a bowl of brown rice with soup for lunch and sprouts with skimmed yoghurt for dinner.
Day 8       Morning weight 71 kg (.5 kg is back to my alarm)
I was happy that effectively I had lost 3.5 kg of weight and did feel better. And yes, immensely motivated too. With the resolution to tone my body further, I resumed my earlier exercise regime that included strength training. A lot of reading had me realize my body type that is endomorph. I inculcated a lot of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) in my cardio sessions in a routine to boost my metabolism. I prepared home-made almond butter and experimented with many more healthy recipes. I ensured I did not have more than one cheat day in a week and that my resistance training was adequately supplemented by enough protein intake which for me was in form of soya chunks, paneer and other low fat dairy products apart from peanut and almond butter. Over all, I made a change in my lifestyle. Cravings for chocolates and sweets (mithai) did not deviate me from my goals. Thankfully, fried food has never been a teaser for me. Ultimately, after 10 months of patience driven due diligence, I finally hit 62 kgs and it has been almost three years now that I have maintained so.
The road I travelled from 74.6 kgs to 62 kgs was indeed tough. There were occasions when I was (pretty much humanly) tempted to give up. I remember when I hit a plateau at 69 kgs and despite all the endurance, it would not buzz an inch further. This was the most trying time when I kept going. I did more research on what to do when we hit plateaus. To my utter surprise one of the things I realized that though I was not losing weight any further, yet I was getting into a shape that was better than ever. You know what, the weight was owing to the lean muscle that I was gaining by doing the right kind of resistance training. Then I was not-so-regular with the workout for a fortnight while travelling to another city. And whoa, guess what? Despite not exercising, during this little break my weight dropped another 3 kgs all by itself! Another round of reading and I realised that taking small breaks is actually good. And yes, I had set small targets for myself. The day I got below 70kg, I gifted myself a new pair of Asics training shoes that I had been eying for long, and when I hit under 65, it was a (well deserved) wardrobe change (pretty much required as I had gone down two sizes by then:)!
My Weight Loss Success Mantra
GM diet was absolutely not essential and I could have achieved my target otherwise too. However, I admit, for me it did work like a booster. Having lost 3.5 kgs right at the start kept me convinced that I could actually lose weight! For you, you yourself have to determine what could keep you best motivated.
Drink lots of water (preferably warm if not hot). For every 20 kgs of body weight, you need to intake 1 litre of water with a capping a 5 litres beyond which the kidneys get taxed.
Treat yourself like a human and not like a machine. While adhering to routines is a must, yet don’t be too taxing on yourself. If your body (not mood) solicits an additional break on some day, do allow it.
HIIT works wonders. In my personal experience too, a 20 minute HIIT can compensate for your otherwise 60 minutes of cardio. Aside, you keep burning calories for hours after finishing workout as it challenges the anarobic system. For me, now, cardio just means 20 minutes of HIIT apart from floor and strength training. It implies going to the maximum of your heart rate and then letting it get back to average or moderate state. Beginners can do it in ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 also depending upon their fitness level which later could be in the varying ratio of 1:1. For example 30 seconds of maximum heart rate followed by 60/90 seconds of cool down at slow/moderate pace, which later can be 30 seconds of maximum heart rate followed by 30/45 seconds of cool down.
Strength training is a must. While cardio helps us dissolve fat, resistance or strength training helps us build lean muscle and also catalyse the entire weight loss process.
Food Log. Sounds like heights of obsession but trust me it really works. There are several apps available like livestrong (www.livestrong.com) that can help you track your food, water, exercise and calories and keep you well motivated and on track.
BMI is not the only and actual indicator of fitness. There is a lot like age, child birth, muscle mass etc., that contributes to the weight you carry. As in my case too, considering just the BMI bit, I might sound kind of overweight at 62 kgs for my medium 5.3 frame but if I get on a scale that also measures other parameters, it is my muscle mass that contributes to this BMI and not body fat! So don’t let the formula of BMI depress you.
Never give up. While it sounds clichéd, there is a lot of fact in the statement. There are bound to be times when you would feel that it is too much, or too long, or too intense. But, keep yourself motivated. I would rather suggest you hang a picture of someone who you would like to seek motivation from for your fitness goal (think of the abs and toned body of a mom like Mandira Bedi at 45!)
Eat right. Make better food choices and believe me you, it works wonders. One of the mantras is not to stock the undesired items like crisps, biscuits, sweets etc. as when we are hungry we get tempted to munch on them. Instead, keep dryfruits, fruits, chopped raw veggies, seeds handy so satiate the hunger pangs. I have a sweet tooth and for me letting go of sweets (though not altogether) was a challenge. For this, I started moving to darker chocolates, sugarless tea and coffee, fruit cream with honey instead of sugar and the like. I did allow myself one cheat day in a week. And trust me, once the clothes start getting even a bit lose, your mind would not command you to eat unhealthy!
Supplementing the Workout pre and post. Irrespective of the time of the day, working out hungry, in my opinion, is never a good idea. Before a workout, eat a small snack atleast 30 minutes prior to keep yourself energized and give your best shot at the workout. Keep hydrated. And never neglect enough protein post workout in dearth of which one might lose muscle instead! Protein is an integral macro-nutrient that plays intrinsic role in repairing of damaged muscle tissue. The quantity depends upon your workout. In general, a person body needs .80 gm to 1 gm of protein per kg of body weight. I ensured to take 20-25 gm of protein in form of peanut/almond butter, quiona, soya nuggets, paneer, boiled eggs etc post my workout sessions.
Fitness Tracker. People have different views about it, but I love the idea of a fitness tracker. I use a Fitbit Blaze and I’m crazy about it. It helps keep a track of steps, heart-beat, actual calories burnt, exercise of different levels apart from other features like a watch, alarm clock and even relaxation device! There are multiple options available if one would like to consider any.
Right Bra and Shoes. While women do pay heed to workout attitre, I have felt that the right sports bra and shoes sometimes go lacking. Do invest in a couple of high-support sports bra with the right fit to ensure the boobies stay well in shape (sports bras are available in light, medium and high support. Depending upon our intensity of workout, we need to choose one). Shoes are another investment that is a must. Depending upon what sport you choose, select the pair of shoes technologically made to serve that purpose to ensure comfort and avoid any injuries (there are different types of shoes meant for trails, running, walking, training, hiking, dancing etc.).
Have an active Day. Don’t freak if you are not able to make it for a work out some day. Stay active and do whatever is possible. Activities like squats, lunges, floor, yoga etc. can be done just anywhere.
Set small milestones and appreciate yourself once you achieve these goals.
Losing weight is definitely not all about looks. Being over-weight/having excessive fat hinders health and is also responsible for many health issues. It is about a lifestyle change and not weight loss alone. My target was to take baby steps towards the goal without being less Hitler-like on my own self. Well yes, I do feel much younger, more energised and healthier today than I felt in February of 2015 when I started this journey of getting fit. The compliments I receive, do add an extra glow to my face 🙂

And yes, I had set small targets for myself. The day I got below 70kg, I gifted myself a new pair of Asics training shoes that I had been eying for long, and when I hit under 65, it was a (well deserved) wardrobe change (pretty much required as I had gone down two sizes by then:)!
My Weight Loss Success Mantra
GM diet was absolutely not essential and I could have achieved my target otherwise too. However, I admit, for me it did work like a booster. Having lost 3.5 kgs right at the start kept me convinced that I could actually lose weight! For you, you yourself have to determine what could keep you best motivated.
Drink lots of water (preferably warm if not hot). For every 20 kgs of body weight, you need to intake 1 litre of water with a capping a 5 litres beyond which the kidneys get taxed.
Treat yourself like a human and not like a machine. While adhering to routines is a must, yet don’t be too taxing on yourself. If your body (not mood) solicits an additional break on some day, do allow it.
HIIT works wonders. In my personal experience too, a 20 minute HIIT can compensate for your otherwise 60 minutes of cardio. Aside, you keep burning calories for hours after finishing workout as it challenges the anarobic system. For me, now, cardio just means 20 minutes of HIIT apart from floor and strength training. It implies going to the maximum of your heart rate and then letting it get back to average or moderate state. Beginners can do it in ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 also depending upon their fitness level which later could be in the varying ratio of 1:1. For example 30 seconds of maximum heart rate followed by 60/90 seconds of cool down at slow/moderate pace, which later can be 30 seconds of maximum heart rate followed by 30/45 seconds of cool down.
Strength training is a must. While cardio helps us dissolve fat, resistance or strength training helps us build lean muscle and also catalyse the entire weight loss process.
Food Log. Sounds like heights of obsession but trust me it really works. There are several apps available like livestrong (www.livestrong.com) that can help you track your food, water, exercise and calories and keep you well motivated and on track.
BMI is not the only and actual indicator of fitness. There is a lot like age, child birth, muscle mass etc., that contributes to the weight you carry. As in my case too, considering just the BMI bit, I might sound kind of overweight at 62 kgs for my medium 5.3 frame but if I get on a scale that also measures other parameters, it is my muscle mass that contributes to this BMI and not body fat! So don’t let the formula of BMI depress you.
Never give up. While it sounds clichéd, there is a lot of fact in the statement. There are bound to be times when you would feel that it is too much, or too long, or too intense. But, keep yourself motivated. I would rather suggest you hang a picture of someone who you would like to seek motivation from for your fitness goal (think of the abs and toned body of a mom like Mandira Bedi at 45!)
Eat right. Make better food choices and believe me you, it works wonders. One of the mantras is not to stock the undesired items like crisps, biscuits, sweets etc. as when we are hungry we get tempted to munch on them. Instead, keep dryfruits, fruits, chopped raw veggies, seeds handy so satiate the hunger pangs. I have a sweet tooth and for me letting go of sweets (though not altogether) was a challenge. For this, I started moving to darker chocolates, sugarless tea and coffee, fruit cream with honey instead of sugar and the like. I did allow myself one cheat day in a week. And trust me, once the clothes start getting even a bit lose, your mind would not command you to eat unhealthy!
Supplementing the Workout pre and post. Irrespective of the time of the day, working out hungry, in my opinion, is never a good idea. Before a workout, eat a small snack atleast 30 minutes prior to keep yourself energized and give your best shot at the workout. Keep hydrated. And never neglect enough protein post workout in dearth of which one might lose muscle instead! Protein is an integral macro-nutrient that plays intrinsic role in repairing of damaged muscle tissue. The quantity depends upon your workout. In general, a person body needs .80 gm to 1 gm of protein per kg of body weight. I ensured to take 20-25 gm of protein in form of peanut/almond butter, quiona, soya nuggets, paneer, boiled eggs etc post my workout sessions.
Fitness Tracker. People have different views about it, but I love the idea of a fitness tracker. I use a Fitbit Blaze and I’m crazy about it. It helps keep a track of steps, heart-beat, actual calories burnt, exercise of different levels apart from other features like a watch, alarm clock and even relaxation device! There are multiple options available if one would like to consider any.
Right Bra and Shoes. While women do pay heed to workout attitre, I have felt that the right sports bra and shoes sometimes go lacking. Do invest in a couple of high-support sports bra with the right fit to ensure the boobies stay well in shape (sports bras are available in light, medium and high support. Depending upon our intensity of workout, we need to choose one). Shoes are another investment that is a must. Depending upon what sport you choose, select the pair of shoes technologically made to serve that purpose to ensure comfort and avoid any injuries (there are different types of shoes meant for trails, running, walking, training, hiking, dancing etc.).
Have an active Day. Don’t freak if you are not able to make it for a work out some day. Stay active and do whatever is possible. Activities like squats, lunges, floor, yoga etc. can be done just anywhere.
Set small milestones and appreciate yourself once you achieve these goals.
Losing weight is definitely not all about looks. Being over-weight/having excessive fat hinders health and is also responsible for many health issues. It is about a lifestyle change and not weight loss alone. My target was to take baby steps towards the goal without being less Hitler-like on my own self. Well yes, I do feel much younger, more energised and healthier today than I felt in February of 2015 when I started this journey of getting fit. The compliments I receive, do add an extra glow to my face 🙂
