Learned about the Egyptian lore about how men (as well as women) were granted period leaves bc since the women would need rest the men would have to do the work women usually do (around the house or in general even)... It was called smth like "on leave - woman bleeding"

And the reason I got reminded of this is bc I've been insanely sick since the last two weeks and just when I started feeling the teeniest bit better (yesterday) I got my period (not much to bleed since I ate barely nothing but I've been feeling faint the moment I sit/stand up) and my mother was fasting the whole day so now she has an insane headache and my father - well aware of both our conditions - has the audacity to tell me to do stuff (help him in the kitchen I'll be honest he's not telling me to grind a mill no but to make dough and then rotis which if anyone knows is fucking tiring esp for me since I fucking hate doing it). I'm so angry that I just went with it. And my mother had to legit tell me to stop for that man to realise I've been deadly sick.

Men do not deserve the position of authority. They simply don't.

Ok since I’ve been weirdly defensive of Hephaestus let me make one thing clear:

I do not condone his attempted assault on Athena, I do not condone him cursing Harmonia, what I am upset about is ppl making head canons (which is fine on its own) then act like it’s canon especially when it comes to his marriage, no Hephaestus wasn’t neglecting Aphrodite, no he didn’t demand her hand in marriage it was his “reward” for freeing Hera, no he isn’t an incel, he had a perfectly functional relationship with Aglaia and had several children with her: Eucleia “Good Repute", Eupheme “Acclaim", Euthenia “Prosperity" and Philophrosyne “Welcome", it would’ve been one thing if they had one or two children that are embodiments of positive things but they had 4, which suggests to me that they had a healthy relationship.

Now I get disliking the guy I really do but like with Hera I don’t like it when ppl make headcanons that have no basis in the mythology then act like it’s canon.

REPOSTOBER - Day #25

today's repost is the current design of my fanmade Digimon partner, Lindmon! his line is based off of the lindwyrm (a type of wingless dragon), and has a mixture of physical-based attacks as well as the ability to fire pellets of low-grade gamma radiation, with his signature Gamma Fire attack!

a lot of my signature OC digimon have... kind of a mishmash of concepts and references that don't always have much connection, which is something that nowadays I'd ideally change to be more cohesive-- but it's just so baked into them at this point that I also don't really want to change a thing, because it's like a funky little reflection of the things I thought cool or interesting back then :')

he's come a long way from his original chunkier first-draft! honestly looking back at it, I kinda like the proportions of the old one but I definitely wouldn't keep them for Lindmon going forward... maybe I could rework it into an X variant!
