One year after becoming the Spider-Gal, and teaching Antonio about his powers, Mirabel Madrigal is launched across the multiverse on a grand adventure of a lifetime.

A skilled young surfer with the powers of a spider, who protects her home with the help of her super strong brother, Maui.

The Arach-Kid/Walter Beckett

A young mutant that is part of a secret agency, and partners with the top spy, Lance Sterling. With his powers, Walter is determined to make a difference in the world.

Water Dragon/Raya

A trained fighter whose genetics were altered by a spider. Raya uses her powers to make her city the home her father always envisioned.

Last ask (sorry for bombarding you) once the grandkids collect themselves (or at least try to), they have a change in style. Go here for inspo, and they're personalities are a mix of Harley Quinn and their old selves. Like comedic villains but you can see the pain and insanity in their eyes.

Dolores - went back to being silent and reserved but all willing to execute, if need be. Listens for information on Alma and the other adults. Blackmails the town for supplies, she knows everyone's secrets so she can get anyone to do what she and her siblings want.

She blackmailed the local seamstress into letting her siblings stay in her house and allowing Mirabel to use all the fabric and thread she needed to give them new outfits/wardrobe.

While in the seamstress's house they all act like it's they're house and SHE'S the guest. But she knows better than to speak up about it and is always polite to them...hoping they spare her life.

Camilo - Comedic, funny, joker vibe. He's taking an interest in theater and pranking people of the village with...not so safe pranks. that includes his and others' parents. He's also the bomb guy, he makes bombs out of fireworks and unsafe chemicals.

He also cooks and bakes, he's the main cook in their small little family. Dolores easily blackmailed some poor soul into giving them free meat, herbs/spices, and whatever else he needs to cook with.

Mirabel - Bubbly, "sweet", always with a smile, main one with ideas, Harley Vibe. She's all of her siblings' seamstress but sometimes when she's tired Dolores and Isabela will help.

The designs of the clothes are very colorful and spontaneous. All with their respective favorite colors, which aren't magenta, yellow, orange, Blue, violet, dark blue, or any color that resembles the family they used to be in.

The outfits are usually knee length skirts, colorful pants, or pantsuits for the girls. Suits, dress shoes, and other types of boyish clothing for Camilo and Antonio.

Isabela - more prone to lash out, poison ivy vibe, more hateful but kind to her hermanitas and hermanitos, "calm", stoic, also the main one with ideas.

Luisa - "Calm", trying to be more fun, Harley and Spinel vibe: Goofy, unhinged, outbursts (not toward her family), intelligent, cunning, still emotional. She's usually the one

Antonio - He's going back to be shy and quiet. All his older siblings give him animal books to read and coloring books to color while they scheme. Dolores also blackmails the toy store owner into giving her free toys for him. At this point they are all putting their effort in to raise him themselves.

He knows what they are doing, he's not a stupid kid, thanks to Alma. He's been raised to be very aware of his surroundings and to notice every single detail in things. So, he knows his siblings are plotting to make the madrigal house crumble, he just doesn't care.

"To hell with them"

All madrigal kids have a small portion of their gifts. Isabela can make small plants appear here and there. Luisa can still lift some heavy stuff but not anything close to houses. Camilo can shapeshift but only for five minutes at a time and the scar in his face makes it hard for him to blend in.

Thankfully makeup exists in Encanto.

Mirabel can still make diamonds and crystals, but they are break pretty easily. She can't make much jewelry anymore but she something new.

She can make beautiful weapons for her to use when the time comes. The only she has to do is to sketch a few ideas on paper and concentrate more on what she wants to make. In the past, she didn't have to concentrate all that much.

It gives her a headache, but she can withstand it. in the end she has the pretty glass/crystal weapons she wanted.

But of course, these are just suggestions and you can edit things to your liking.

Literally love all of these. I probably won't get to this AU for a long while, I have a story I promised someone back in April that I'm posting tonight, along with finishing all my other stories. I will let you know when I've got something written out and I'll run it by you before posting

Encanto Angelic au

This was odd, Camilo and Mirabel were supposed to get their gifts on their birthdays, which were December 28th and March 6th....not February 26th.

At first there was some confusion about why his ceremony was being skipped. Camilo almost cried because he thought he wasn't getting a gift. But Casita assured everyone, especially Camilo, that he and Mirabel will be sharing the same gift.

Everyone was a little shocked but happy nonetheless, the 'twins' were completely overjoyed. They were going to share the same gift, like they were real twins!

The adults wondered what their gift could be. The two five-year-olds looked somewhat similar but they weren't alike. Camilo was a prankster and theater kid; Mirabel was a crafter and a little singer.

What gift could they possibly get that could make both of them happy?

February 26th finally came around and the 'twins' were buzzing with excitement and infectious joy. Which was strange because they barely slept at all the night before.

The time finally came and the two now five-year-olds put their hand on the doorknob. Sparkly magic swirled around them, the glitter making them giggle a little bit.

The door made two versions of their older selves show up on the door. They had wings, eyes on their arms, a golden band around their head covering their eyes, and gold hands. On the door they were holding hands and smiling.

A few seconds pass and the two of them look at each other...and they see that they look like angels. Fluffy white wings, a gold band floating above their heads, little light gold eyes up and down their arms, and gold hands.

"WE HAVE A NEW GIFT!!!"

Everyone marveled over their appearance. They looked like literal angel babies. They had wings, extra eyes, a halo, and gold hands...they were gifted to be literal angels.

For some reason, the little ones couldn't see out of the eyes on their arms. But it was for the best, seeing everything at once would've frightened them.

Mirabel opened the door to her new room and...all of it was so pretty. The room was big, really big, clouds expanded as far as the eyes could see.

On top of the clouds in the far right is what seemed to be a castle. A large white and gold marble castle. The "sun" in the room gave a sunset glow and made the room look etheral.

The whole room looked like...HEAVEN!!! Like it was actually heaven and...that's how it felt. The overall vibe was peaceful and calm, a soft breeze filled the room as well.

Once the family and some of the people who were at the party got to the castle. They all looked around inside it to see if there was anything else extraordinary about it.

Overall vibe I have for their room/castle:

They had a huge library, bathing room, bedroom, a waterfall that went below the clouds and to an Island, etc. The library had a few children's books and other books on how angels work.

With the help of Casita and the books, they discovered that they had the gift of prophecy, healing, blessings, and super strength. As well as the power of having everyone else's gift if they needed to.

Alma saw them was a gift from God or Pedro himself and this was a sign that the family was truly doing good for the community and themselves.

After exploring their gifts, a little more, they were finally put out into town to help around. They were able to do everything their gifted family members could, so they were able to take some chores from them and do it themselves.

And the twins could easily heal with a touch of their finger, so Julieta didn't need to cook as often anymore.

They could easily conjure up rain or sunlight for the crops and plants, easily make flowers appear, easily move houses or heavy objects here and there, etc.

Camilo and Mirabel were more than happy to help the family in any way they could, so if they could take over some chores, they would at any moment.

Apart from doing their parents, Primos, and tio's chores, they also had their own to do. After Alma got word that they could give blessings, she had them bless every wedding and newborn in Encanto. Every child, adult, and senor around the place. Things seemed perfectly fine...but there was a problem.

Every time they touched an adult or just about anyone...they saw their sins. Every lie, cheat, scandal, abuse...just everything you did.

In their younger years they told on everyone who did something wrong. They didn't mean it most of the time, once they touched you, if you did something as simple as taking a cookie out of the cookie jar when you weren't supposed to, they told on you.

They could see what you did in the past, present, and what you're going to do in the future.

People who abused another person were instantly put behind bars, other people who told terrible lies or committed adultery were found out and dealt with.

Predators (you know the kind I'm talking about) were put behind bars as well. And boy, was this a hard talk to have with two five-year-olds who didn't understand what they were seeing. Let's just say they head stranger danger more often and are aware of what s3x is now.

Bruno and Dolores felt bad for them because they kind of went through the same thing, just in different ways.

Throughout all of that trauma, the 'twins' were still kept their childlike innocence. Camilo was still a mischievous theater kid and Mirabel still loves to craft and sing.

Because they were seen as literal angels, Alma made sure they were close with the church. So, she made them go to the church on Sundays, Sunday school, read the bible front to back, and sing in the kid's choir.

They were now seen as the golden child or golden children in the family. The children who could never do anything wrong and children who you could trust with anything and go to for guidance.

The books that the two had in their room granted them knowledge of nearly everything when it came to morals, right and wrong, the behaviors of man, and just about everything else.

So, you could go to them for moral guidance if church wasn't an option. But they politely stressed that you should go to the priest and talk to them, not him.

But the village people don't listen and because of that, a confessional was placed into their room.

The 'twins' really don't like being told such personal things, but Alma said it would help people mentally if they could just talk to someone about it so...they let it go.

Mirabel and Camilo were only allowed to wear white and gold. It wasn't a spoken law, but by how much Alma *only* bought them white and gold clothes, it was noticed that those were the only colors they were supposed to wear. And maybe some pastel colors here and there.

The miracle gave them their gift to show Alma that the family needed breaks. If the family got some chores lifted off of their shoulders, maybe the cracks wouldn't become worse every year and the family wouldn't be as stressed. But nope, Alma didn't see that.

Mira and Cam are quite literally seen as higher beings, not kids/teenagers. So, both of them feel like they can't do anything even remotely human. Can't lie, get angry, be loud, fall, cry, nothing. They constantly have to be the mature, calm, happy advice giver to nearly everyone.

The other grandkids are practically forgotten in Alma's view. Her main focus is Mirabel and Camilo. She doesn't even fuss over her own children anymore.

I'm not sure where to take this au, it could be heartfelt but on the other hand it could be somewhat of a horror/angsty/scary au. Let me know if you have any questions or ideas.

Ah Camilo angst. You bet I'm gonna write it in the most dramatic way possible because, well it's Camilo after all.

A/N: There's just something about angst and theater kids that goes so damn well together.

Camilo has been fulfilling a bunch of different roles for his whole life

He uses his gift both to have fun and help improve the lives of the towns people and his family

You always talk to him when he's in town but you never have enough time for a proper long talk since he's rushing somewhere a lot of the time

You make it a habit of bringing him food and drinks and just hanging out when he walks from one place to the other

Camilo flirts with you sometimes, the very playful kind that you can't really tell if he's being serious

He's being very serious but he's not sure if you like his type

He knows that he can be a bit of a jokester and that not everyone is into that

For the most part he feels like your gestures are just you trying to be nice to him, which you are but you also like spending time with him

Camilo decides that if you don't like him as himself than he can absolutely take on some traits that you do find attractive

So whenever you talk about the things that you like he makes sure to pay extra close attention

One time he even bluntly asks you what you're looking for in a partner

The question takes you by surprise, especially since that didn't sound like his usual playful teasing or flirting, in fact he was being very serious when he asked

You describe someone who's caring, likes to have fun, enjoys helping people, has a good sense of humor, is gentle and caring, has great taste in music and dancing

It completely goes over his head that you're describing him

So much so that the next time you saw him he tried to emulate all of those things a bit too much in order to impress you

At the end of the day you tell him you'd like to talk to him in private

Camilo thinks that you're gonna reject him and he gets ready for it

However you cup his cheeks and tell him that he can be really dumb sometimes

He doesn't get what you mean by that, he just did what you said you liked

You explained to him that he didn't need to do anything different since your ideal partner is him

It finally hits him that all the things you listed where also his own traits

Well now he feels really dumb about all of this

You thought it was sweet that he tried to do what he thought would make you happy but he doesn't need to do anything different from what he's already been doing

After all if he was any different you wouldn't have fallen for him

Your confession makes his head spin and his heart flutter, it his powers go out of control for a second, much to his embarrassment

Since you confessed it's only right that he does the same, mentioning that he would love to take you out for a walk sometime, maybe go somewhere you can watch the sunset together

When you tell him that you'd love to go on a date with him his face brightens up even more and he puts a little happy kick in his step as he walks away, but not before kissing your cheek again

Isabela NEVER hated Mirabel

Mirabel NEVER hated Isabela (in fact, she looked up to her)

Dolores DOESN'T favor Antonio over Camilo, she LOVES both of her brothers equally

Pepa NEVER hated Bruno (she was giving Mirabel an example of how his prophecies came true)

Alma also NEVER hated Bruno (c'mon, he's literally her son)

Pepa and Félix DON'T play favorites between their kids, they love all of them the same

Julieta also DOESN'T favor Mirabel over her sisters, she just gave her extra attention due to her lack of gift (wich is a mistake she learned from)

Bruno also DOESN'T play favorites between his sobrinos or sobrinas (Mirabel: we know her deal, Luisa: was old enough to actually play with Bruno before he left, Isabela and Dolores: were literally 12 when Bruno left, Camilo: they're both theater kids, Antonio: translates what the rats are saying)

Luisa is NOT depressed, everything worked out, even before that, she was NOT depressed

Encanto Headcanons Part 3

When Isabela and Dolores were teenagers, they always made up little rhymes and songs to roast people (think similar to the "Funky Junky Hat" rhyme from Wizards of Waverly Place).

Mirabel and Camilo do the same thing. They steal some of Isabela's and Dolores' rhymes and make up their own.

When Pepa was a toddler, she would fall asleep in the tightest spaces imaginable. She would often be found sleeping either under her bed or inside a dresser drawer.

Agustin and Felix were always massive marshmallows when it came to disciplining the kids. Julieta and Pepa had to help them step up quite a lot during their earlier parenting years.

Isabela and Dolores would pretend to breastfeed their dolls after seeing Julieta breastfeed Luisa.

Luisa would do the same thing after seeing Julieta breastfeed Mirabel and Pepa breastfeed Camilo.

Pepa, Bruno, Luisa, Camilo, and Mirabel are extremely prone to napping. They would often nap in the most random parts of Casita, often two or three of them together. But most often, all five of them would nap together.

Pepa has gone several days at a time without washing her hair because of how thick and curly it is, and no amount of conditioner can help tame the mane.

She has taken whiffs of her own hair during those periods. She describes it as one of the worst things she's ever smelled.

All three triplets approach physical affection differently. Bruno doesn't like being touched, especially unexpectedly, Julieta likes hugs an average amount, and Pepa needs hugs all the time or she'll go on a rampage.

Julieta and Bruno were really shy babies and toddlers, but Pepa was extremely friendly at that time. She would wave to everyone as a baby and would say hello to everyone once she learned how to talk.

This drastically changed (with the girls) after the triplets' gift ceremony. Julieta started talking a little more after other kids knew she could heal anything, and Pepa got quieter after other kids constantly teased her about her gift and being forced to repress her emotions. She gained most of her confidence back after taking dance. Bruno was the only one that didn't really change because he was also teased about his gift.

While Camilo's more of a performer type, he's not afraid to try new areas of theater arts. He's known in the Encanto for being a great director and playwright (even writing and directing plays for the village kids to put on every summer), and always asks Bruno for advice to strengthen both skills.

Pepa taught Camilo how to tap dance. She also taught Isabela and Mirabel, but Camilo was the one most interested in continuing.

Camilo's habit of stealing food started when he first started eating solid foods. He would often be caught throughout the day raiding through the kitchen stealing an arepa from Julieta's spare stash.

Antonio started to get in the habit of stealing food as early as toddlerhood because he would watch his brother do it. Julieta once caught two-year-old Antonio climbing on a counter to get a spare arepa and thought it was Camilo at first, only to realize he's not that little anymore and realize it was Antonio.

Mirabel has a knack for memorizing little trivia facts. In a Modern AU, she could tell someone what pieces of media (movies, books, TV shows, etc.) were released the year they were born.

I imagine the Madrigal family going to Disney's House of Mouse where all the Disney characters will be there and surely the new characters from Disney series and movies would also come there.

And perhaps the madrigals interact with the other Disney characters, for example, Isabella with the flowers, Disney princesses and maidens, Antonio with the jungle animals, forest and pets ,disney kids and characters that talk to animals, Luisa with the strong heroes and horses, alma disney with grandmothers and grandfathers and the other members with any character.

Also the madrigal as well as some disney characters from some episodes could help mickey his friends for example

Mirabel could give advice to help some characters

Dolores could help Clarabelle with some gossip since she has a good ear or could she also listen if someone has problems

Isabela could put flowers on some tables

camilo could receive the characters becoming them

Julieta could help the chef cook a bit in case he can't cook Or if Mickey and his friends or someone from the public gets hurt, I could give them an arepa con queso or buñuelo cheese

Antonio could prevent pluto and figaro from suddenly fighting

Bruno could give you future visions but make them good

also on some occasions family members could present their talent on stage or bring someone from town to show their talent

Mirabel could give a speech

Isabela could make art with flowers and plants

Luisa could show her show of strength of how much she can lift some things

Antonio could be a show with his animals

Bruno could present his mouse theater or also give future visions too

Julieta could host a cooking show and teach them how to cook their recipes

Agustin could play the piano

Could you bring the musicians from the town to play some music, that is, those who wanted Mirabel to play the accordion or those who played at the Antonio gift party

Couples could also come to have romantic dinners like the parents julieta x agustin, pepa x felix and mariano x dolores

what they should be careful about is that they shouldn't get close to the villains, that pepa makes his rain clouds and anything bad

Red Queen AU

(This is an AU based on one of my favorite book series. Feel free to ignore this, I know it's long and confusing.)

In this AU the Madrigals are people who have silver blood, this type of blood allows them to have powers and abilities, and this allows them to be considered nobility.

Mirabel is not a silver, instead, she is a New Blood, someone who has red blood but has stronger and better versions of the powers and abilities Silvers have.

The Madrigals still live in the Encanto but it’s more of a kingdom now, where they’re the only silvers there and married Red, ordinary people.

Alma is Silver who has the ability of telekinesis, I tried to keep her as normal as possible, she’s still the matriarch and leader of the Encanto, Basically regular Alma. Pedro however was a New Blood but didn’t have an outgoing and Strong ability and tried to keep it hidden. After his death, Alma thought her kids’ Silver abilities would keep them safe so she fixated on those.

There are other silvers in this AU but they work under the Madrigals and work for them. No one is as strong as the family as no one tries to overthrow them. Compared to the Madrigals, they’re all weak and aren’t considered to have powers, but they are still considered nobility, but the Madrigals are ROYALTY and are the bosses of everything, well Alma is.

Julieta: A skin Healer, someone who has the ability to heal others but not themselves. Skin-to-skin contact is needed.

Pepa: A storm. Someone who can manipulate weather, but like in Encanto it’s directly tied to her emotions, however, with enough training, she can fully control the weather whoever she pleases.

Bruno: He still has the ability to see into the future, this is called Eyes, the ability to see into the future. Bruno is still seen as Bad Luck Bruno and doesn’t use his abilities as much.

The triplets are incredibly close, seeing each other as each others rocks.

Julieta does marry Agustin and Papa does marry Felix, two ordinary Reds, much to Alma’s dismay, but was actually pleased with the result.

Isabella: A Green Warden, or a Greeny. She still has control over plant life and nature. She is still Señorita Perfecta the face of the kingdom. Everything is Pink and roses, she’s Alma’s favorite. Much like canon Isa, she doesn’t want to be perfect and wants to explore her powers but she’s afraid of the disappointment of her Abuela.

Delores: Deciding her ability was kind of hard of to find out, but ultimately I decided that she’s silk. They are agile, quick, and quite almost catlike. Swifts are considered formidable warriors and spies. That’s mainly what she uses her abilities for. Her powers basically enhance her senses and increase their stamina and reflexes. She knows everything about everyone.

Luisa: Same old Luisa, sweet, kind, but believes she’s useless unless she’s Super strong, can create shockwaves just by clapping her hands and mini earthquakes simply by stomping her feet, she can also

jump incredibly high. She’s pretty much the same as canon Luisa, she overworks herself and doesn’t know how to say no, but loves her family more than anything.

Camilo: He’s a shifter, same as canon Camilo, carefree, funny, a trickster, a theater kid. He’s exactly the same our Camilo, the only difference is that he’s jealous of Mirabel, well, they’ll are.

And now to the star. Mirabel is New Blood. New Bloods are special, they have red blood, leading people to believe they’re powerless and normal until their powers manifest, and next thing you a large bolt of lightning cracks down on a group of bullies, then they all start floating and she suddenly vanishes.

Mirabel was born early and weak, everyone hopes that when her powers kicked up. Julieta used as much of her power to keep her daughter healthy and alive, but she could only do so much. They worried, even more, when Mirabel turned five her powers had never kicked in. Alma turned away from her, but kept a close eye on her to make sure she wasn’t hurt. She didn’t pay much mind to Mira and fixed on the rest of the family, she did however ask Bruno for a vision to see if there was something wrong, to which he left the same night and never told anyone what he saw.

Mirabel, at age ten, developed her first two powers. Yeah, the first two.

She was surrounded, by six bullies, some her sister’s age, some older. None of them were silvers, but they were big and definitely wanted to do harm. Poor Mirabel was terrified, no one could hear her, and no one would care. One of the bigger ones stepped closer to her, a rope in his hands. Mirabel, in a fit of panic, raised her hands and shouted. A loud crack and bright flashes blinded them all, followed by screams of pain and fear. Mira opens her eyes, electricity cracked around her arms and in her hair.

Did-did she do that? Someone else, an adult, stormed forward, a large fresh scar traced down his arm, a wooden stick clutched in his hands. Mirabel threw her palm to, in an attempt to defend herself, only for a shield of bright golden light to separate her from the now splintered stick. By now the family and several citizens raced after the giant lightning bolt. Everyone is shocked, before breathing the kids and then jumping the literal adult who is now punching the shield trying to get to the terrified ten-year-old. Alma, furious, marched forward and yanked the man by the back of his shirt.

“How dare you, that is a child!” The man, Ricardo, looked like a feral animal trapped in a web of vines. It looked the severity of the situation had finally hit him as he erupted into excuses and pleads, from he thought she was someone else to blaming her, saying how if she had stayed out of the way like she was told she wouldn’t get into trouble.

Alma couldn’t believe her ears. This grown man, clearly drunk, would attack her granddaughter, what would have happened if they weren’t here. So many kids, some teenagers, and a few adults. It was scary. So many people were willing to hurt a harmless Red, who apparently wasn’t so harmless. “Take him and anyone over the age of 18 to the prison house, anyone young takes them home and inform them that will be paying each one a visit so make sure you get names and addresses”, she told a guard. Alma turned over to her youngest granddaughter who was being fretted over by her parents, sisters, and aunt, no doubt overwhelming the poor frightened girl.

“Everyone, let’s go back to Casita. Mirabel must be overwhelmed and frightened, we’ll get answers tomorrow.” Alma gently patted Mirabels back and placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder before leading the shaking child back to their home. Two abilities? TWO?? That was unheard of, she was a red. Normal and ordinary, suddenly called a bolt of lightning down and created a shield. This was certainly something that needed to be looked into.

What do you mean by that last sentence 🤨🤨 REGARDLESS This is still cool⁉️⁉️ I’ve never read the book or heard of it, but doesn’t remind me of some manhua I’ve read! At least they were still looking out for her, I still think it’s kind cold that they still pushed her aside but hey, at least the noticed at some point. Even if the circumstances are very convenient. And does Alma even know??? That that variation of red exist or did Pedro’s just never live king enough to tell her. Cause frankly she shouldn’t be that surprised, especially if she already know.

Also I’m in dark mode so. I spent like 3 minutes longer reading this because it’s black in black 💀💀

If the Madrigal Family would go to high school (I'm talking about the grand kids roundup but it may also include Abuela Alma and her children and her son-in-laws back when they were teenagers), which subject would they love or which type of subject composition/schemes (like whether they choose art side subjects, science side subjects, etc...) would they choose in your opinion?

Ooh, thanks, anon!! Alright, so I did a little research into the education system in Colombia. From what I was able to gather, students in upper secondary school (grades 10-11) are able to choose a specialized or vocational “track” in addition to their regular academic subjects. Some of the tracks are Academic (further focus on sciences and humanities subjects), Technology & Applications (includes information technology, I think), Industrial (e.g., mechanics, welding, industrial chemistry), Commercial (e.g., accounting, commerce), Agricultural, Social Promotion, and Teaching. I’m going to base my picks off this information but also keep the “core subjects” in mind.

Wait I thought you didn't count books as canon?

While Camilo did sing a diss track, it couldn't really be a serious one if he's just being overly dramatic about things he probably heard growing up which I can see a theater kid like him doing. He only ever heard negative stuff after all. Which is apparently more than Mirabel ever heard it I guess more people talked with Camilo than Mirabel growing up.

Also I think Pepa was more yelling at Mirabel about having gotten the vision than ruining the dinner though yeah she's definitely immature

No, I don’t see the books as canon, but that doesn’t mean I can’t criticize something in it.

You’re quite right on that one, but it’s still kinda villanizing Bruno and spreading false information that he most likely heard from other people, either the town, Pepa, or both. (Also yeah, I think most people did talk with Camilo than Mira growing up…)

That one’s up for interpretation, honestly. But my point still stands.

The Mitchells vs. the Madrigals - Fan script for a mini sketch

DISCLAIMER: The following script is a parody. Any use of names related to movies, institutions or people (whether fictional or not) is not meant to be taken seriously.

Dolby Theater, March 27th 2022. The Oscars are about to begin. Among various live action actors, directors and similar film crew, some CGI animated characters and a 2-D Amin Nawabi (Flee) look for their seats apart from those that belong to the directors of their respective movies. Among the CGI toons are Raya and Sisu; next to them, Luca, Alberto and Giulia. Amin, in particular, wears a tuxedo while Sisu only wears a tie. Raya, on the other hand, wears an elegant dress. They all sit. The spectators around these toon stars clap and cheer at them with eerie-looking faces and smiles. Last but not least, two toon families in elegant clothing also find their seats among the clapping spectators. At one side, the Madrigals; at the other, the Mitchells. The spectators suddenly stop clapping as the two families sit and get comfortable. Aaron Mitchell, along with Monchi (who also wears a little tuxedo, like a little gentleman), get closer to where Antonio Madrigal is. Aaron stares at Antonio and does a little dino roar while showing his T-Rex snapper.

ANTONIO: Guys, take a seat!

At this command, some wild animals appear out of nowhere: a leopard, a few capibaras, a toucan, a few tapirs, some coatis… Aaron feels uncomfortable about this. Monchi, on the other hand, gets scared at the animals and leaves towards the rest of the Mitchell family. Aaron follows him. Meanwhile, Rick gets approached by Linda.

LINDA: I don’t know about you honey, but I hope Encanto wins.

RICK: Enchan…to? You mean the one with that, what was called… “Bruno”… song? Aaron never stops seeing that video Katie has made with Monchi barfing it.

LINDA: Well…yeah! I guess so.

A second Linda approaches Rick.

LINDA 2: Ehm…Rick?

The first Linda changes into Camilo Madrigal, who returns with the rest of the Madrigals with an annoyed yet confused look on his face. He can't believe Rick knows little about Encanto. Mirabel, on the other hand, approaches Katie.

MIRABEL (with an optimistic tone): Hey, good luck.

They both shake hands, but Katie feels a little unsecure about what just happened.

KATIE: Ehm…thanks I suppose?

Mirabel returns to where the rest of the Madrigals are.

CUT TO: An hour later

The time all the toons and the directors of their movies have been waiting for has finally come. Lily James, Naomi Scott and Halle Bailey get on stage to present the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Everyone cheers.

HALLE BAILEY: All of these characters hold such a special place in our hearts, because animated films make up some of our most formative movie experiences as kids.

Katie gets surprised and mumbles angrily.

LILY JAMES: So many kids watch these movies over, and over…

HALLE BAILEY: And over and over and over and over and over!

NAOMI SCOTT: I see some parents out there know exactly what we’re talking about!

Linda also gets surprised and mumbles angrily, but in a tone that’s little louder than Katie. Katie sees this and calms her down.

KATIE (whispering): Calm down, mom! There’s… there’s a big chance for us to win! I hope…

NAOMI SCOTT: Here are the nominees for Best Animated Feature Film. Encanto; Jared Bush, Byron Howard, Yvett Merino and Clark Spencer.

As Scott reads the previous title and directors, the Madrigals get surprised as the ever-so-cheerful crowd claps at them. A rainbow appears over Pepa. Isabela produces some beautiful flowers on her hair and Antonio’s animal friends look at him happily. However, Abuela Alma seems to just be happy about the situation; she doesn’t celebrate with the family. Mirabel, on the other hand, just looks at everyone with discommodity in her eyes.

N.S. (cont’d): Flee; Jonas Poher Rasmussen, Monica Hellström, Signe Byrge Sørensen and Charlotte de la Gournerie.

Amin hesitates for a moment, then stands up and, with a confused look, bows at the crowd around him.

N.S. (cont’d): Luca; Enrico Casarosa and Andrea Warren.

While the monotonous crowd cheers, Giulia waves at them while Luca and Alberto celebrate by throwing bottles of water at themselves. This causes them to change into their sea monster forms, much to Giulia’s surprise.

N.S. (cont’d): The Mitchells vs the Machines; Mike Rianda, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Kurt Albrecht.

Katie is trying to calm down Linda when, suddenly, she realizes her family has just been mentioned. She immediately and insecurely waves at the crowd along with Rick. Linda waves frowning while Aaron waves Monchi’s left front paw. Both Rick and Aaron’s faces are also showing the same insecurity as the women of their family.

N.S. (cont’d): Raya and the Last Dragon; Don Hall, Carlos López Estrada, Osnat Shurer and Peter del Vecho.

Sisu and Raya wave at the crowd. Sisu then pats Raya in the head.

LILY JAMES: The Academy rules specify that animated characters must remain in their seats.

N.S.: Only real people can accept the award, so please be animated.

HALLE BAILEY: And the Oscar goes to…

Suspense is in the air. All toons stare at the three hosts in excitement. There’s even fog surrounding Pepa! Monchi just drools over the deadpan capibara, though, but the latter doesn’t even react to that. Finally, Bailey opens the envelope. The winner is…

JAMES, SCOTT AND BAILEY: Encanto!!!

All of the live-action audience members clap and cheer. While the Encanto live-action crew heads to the stage, the Madrigals and Antonio’s animals celebrate their victory along with the crowd surrounding them. A ray of sunshine appears over Pepa. Abuela Alma is still only happy and keeps distancing herself from the Madrigals’ celebration. Also, Mirabel is still looking uncomfortable. Amin gets a little frustrated at not winning the award while a member of the crowd turns around to give a “better luck next time” look towards his neck. A similar thing happens with some crowd members next to the remaining “loosers”. The Luca trio is straight up angry at the situation, but that doesn’t compare to Linda’s reaction. She starts breathing and growling uncontrollably with her face having turned hot and her pupils having shrunk down to some dangerously familiar ones. Her scene attracts the attention of Raya and Sisu; Sisu being just about to pat Raya in the shoulder as consolation. Katie and Rick, meanwhile, are trying to calm Linda down.

KATIE: Mom, mom, please calm down!

RICK: Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out, it’s OK!

Linda’s breakdown doesn’t seem to worry the live-action assistants of the ceremony. The Encanto live action crew do their speech.

CLARK SPENCER: And everyone in the Walt Disney Animation Studios, this film only exists because of your talent and your passion…

LINDA (in a very angry tone): KATIE, IS IT TRUE THE ACADEMY IS BOUGHT BY DISNEY?!

This interrupts Spencer’s speech. The Encanto LA crew, the three hostess and everyone in the audience turns to Linda. The audience in particular emits the traditional crowd gasp sound effect.

KATIE (unsecure and worried at the same time): Well, not exactly, you see…

Linda interrupts Katie with a loud yell. Rick and Katie look at each other; they know what to do in these cases. They get up and wave their arms in desperation.

RICK: Everyone leave the building, quick!

KATIE: Code Lavender! Code Lavender!

Rick and Katie’s efforts are worthless. Linda angrily heads towards the stage throwing away every seat (all with an audience member on them) she finds on her path. Once Linda is on stage, she runs towards every Encanto LA crew member, grabs and throws them into the air. She then runs at the three hostesses, who all try to escape.

LINDA: YOU THREE, GET ANIMATION OUT OF YOUR F**KING MOUTHS!!!

Linda grabs the three and also throws them into the air. All the live action audience members, by now, have left the building in fear. Abuela, through a movement of her arm, draws the Madrigals’ attention to Linda. They all get on stage in an attempt to stop her. All, that is, except for Dolores, Felix, Agustín, Mirabel and Bruno. Dolores mumbles and covers her ears.

DOLORES: Ugh, those steps!

The attempts of the remaining Madrigals to stop Linda, still, are in vain. A storm cloud appears over Pepa. From it, a thunder catches The Lavender One. However, she somehow survives said thunder, but ends up looking cartoonishly calcinated (i.e. turns completely gray and smoke rises from her body). This, nonetheless, doesn’t stop her from throwing Pepa in the air, running towards Julieta, snatching the arepita con queso the latter had at hand and eating it. In a second, her calcinated body turns back to normal. She throws Julieta away too. Antonio then uses his arm to command the animals (except for the deadpan capibaras) to throw themselves into her. They all do at once, but Linda, in just two arm movements, grabs and throws them away with ease, leopard included. Isabela summons two large flowers to tangle her up, but Linda rips them off, again, easily. She heads towards Isa, grabs and throws her away. Meanwhile, Mirabel reaches Katie, who is watching everything calmly.

KATIE: No offence to your family, but I think they deserve this.

MIRABEL: Yeah, I guess you’re right.

Amin reaches the two girls.

AMIN: Do you want to know something kids? After that awful speech about animation, I won’t trust the Academy anymore.

KATIE: Same here Mr. Nawabi. Oh, by the way, I watched your movie. And I LOVE it. It’s incredible how…

Katie gets interrupted by a screech from her mum. The fight is still going strong. Linda has just thrown Camilo away. Luisa grabs a column pillar with both hands and heads with it towards Linda. Linda, with just one hand, grabs said pillar and throws both it and Luisa towards the roof, breaking it. The Mitchell mum breathes in and out, still in rage. Almost every Madrigal has been knocked out and the theater has been ruined. Suddenly, Abuela stands up.

ABUELA: Alright, that’s enough Señora Mitchell!

Linda looks towards Abuela while calming herself down. Luisa falls back down, breaking the roof yet again.

ABUELA: What a shame! I know you’re angry because we won the Award, but that’s no way of treating us!

Linda lowers her head in shame.

ABUELA (cont'd): But don't worry! To solve our rivalry. I suggest you to go with your family to our Casita Madrigal. We'll throw a big party there!

Pepa gets surprised and a storm cloud appears over her again.

ABUELA (cont’d): The other nominees are also invited! The Casita pays!

Linda thinks about it and gets calmed and cheerful all of a sudden. She finally gets off the stage and joins the rest of the Mitchells, who all are puzzled at what has just happened. Pepa, still accompained by her storm cloud, approaches Abuela in anger.

PEPA: What are you thinking?! They will all trash out Casita!

ABUELA: (Giggles) I know. You'll soon see.

CUT TO: Casita, some hours later.

Casita opens up her doors. The floors’ tiles push the Mitchells, Monchi, Raya, Sisu, Amin and the Luca trio outside. They all fall on each other. The doors close. A roof tile from over the door goes up and down continuously as a way to wave them goodbye. The Madrigals, with Abuela having their Oscar at hand, see it all through a window.

KATIE: You know mom? It's still not too late to bring "The Lavender One" back.

Linda's face gets hot and her pupils shrink again. Cue the yelling.

Alright, @watercolorsinmyheart inspired me, and now I'll pitch my own DCLA characters.

Isadora is a recently turned 17 year old who loves theater and is in a local theater group for teenagers. She also likes to swim, but more does so in her free time. Theater is her main interest. During the year, she experiences things she didn't expect and learns a bit more about herself.

Carmen is Isadora's older twin sister and is very into swimming and competes in a swim team. She also likes to sing on her free time. Carmen and Isadora were closer as kids, but recently they've grown apart. Will the sisters get closer again or will they only grow more apart?

Juni is the little brother of Isadora and Carmen. He is 11 and hates how his sisters treat him like he's half his age. They don't seem to accept that he's growing up. But, he also likes to mess with them and often gets what he wants by using his "cute little brother" charm on them.

Carolina is 16 at the start (but turns 17 in just a month or two) and is Isadora's best friend. She's into stage tech and is kind of unpredictable. You never know what she's gonna do. People who does not know her thinks she's very weird and kind of annoying, but when you get to know her, she's got this depth you don't see at first. She also dyes her hair like every month just because.

David is an 18 year old boy who has a great singing voice and often wants the theater group to put up a musical. Even when they do drama or plays, he tries to get some music in there. He may be in love with Isadora or Carmen, but they aren't sure who. It's not like he can't tell them apart, as they aren't identical twins, but he seems to just... have a thing for both of them.

Carlos is a 17 year old swimmer boy who's just this fun guy. He and David often sing together at karaoke nights, and are thinking of starting a band together. They just need the perfect third member...

Jessica is an 18 year old girl who seems to be everywhere. At school, at the theater, at the pool, in the swimming center changing rooms, at the karaoke bar, EVERYWHERE. She always gets on Isadora's nerves and Isadora doesn't want anything to do with her. Why is she here? What does she want? What is going on?!

Daria is a quirky girl who always talks about her horses. Always "sorry I was late, I was out riding", "I gotta go, I need to get to the stable", "So this this reminds me when I was out with my horse..." If she is a theater girl or in the swim team, or just exist, I have yet to come up with. But she is the local horse girl because that is very much needed.

Javier is 19, just graduated high school and wants to be an influencer. He tries to record everything in hopes of getting popular. He records play rehearsals, swimming competitions, heck he'll even record people in the changing rooms having private conversations (he got in huge trouble for that...)

Petra is 16 and is on Carmen's swim team. She is very competitive and has something against Isadora. She just always tells Carmen to ditch her or tell her that Isadora is bad for her and she should just stop associating with her, and Carmen is like "she's my sister, we live in the same house-". Petra also very anti-boys. Just hates them for breathing basically.

Camilo is 17 and is described as "an artistic soul". He speaks in a theater monologue voice. He also looks like he's stoned all the time.

Julia has just turned 16, and is a very shy girl. She mostly does stage tech, but she writes the most awesome scripts, so awesome they put up one of her scripts as a play. She is good friends with Daria.

And that's all I could came up with, there's probably more characters (especially like, swim coaches and some adult/s leading the theater club), many of these just came out of the blue, as I've both pitched a swimming dcla show and a theater kid dcla show.

Info about Evil!Bruno aka Oscar

He comes from a alternate universe we’re some of the gifts are swaps

Julieta has Antonio’s, Dolores has Isabela, Isabela has Julieta, Antonio has Dolores and Camilo has Luisa

His Isabela was always seen in her babydoll midnight blue dress, with a basket of bake goods and pocket full of flowers and herbs. Her hair was also tied into a long braid.

His Dolores had the ability to grow plants. His Dolores would dress in a red sundress, that had white spots on it. Her hair was loose and puffed out, full of different flowers, herbs, and vines. She always had flowers in her hair, even when he kill her.

His Luisa power was shapeshifing. His Lusia would wear a puff sleeve off the shoulder mini dress, with her hair loose and curly around her cheeks.

Antonio look the same since he just got his gift but he will wear a yellow hairband to show his ears

Camilo hair is a bit long and is tied back, he wear more fitting clothes since he works out a lot, mostly wearing tan tops. His runan is tied around his waist

Oscar was transported to the canon universe (only this time 5 years earlier) by cutting out his left eye and using the candle wax and magic. It was supposed to help get rid of the family’s magic but it transported him instead

His left eye is completely gone so he sew it up with green thread and over his eye is three thick scars from a leopard.

He has tattoos! The most noticeable ones are is collarbones, his left being a squid with many tentacles and in the right a snake wrap around his upper arm

Speaking of snakes he loves them! He keeps them as pets, his first and favorite one being Claudia a common snake

he also has musophobia (fear of rats and mice) and when he sees a rat or mouse he immediately kills it.

Luisa, Isabela, and Dolores are dead. Isabela died by being crush by his tower, Luisa die from the casita being burned after she got trap inside the house, and he murder Dolores after Mirabel wouldn’t give him the candle

His hair reaches to his shoulders and his banged drap in front of him

He smokes

He also bites people when startled

In his world he is the oldest, Pepa is still the middle child and Julieta is the youngest

Pedro lives in this world, Alma died because she thought that the raiders would have empathy for a young woman who just became a new mother, they didn’t

Pedro in his grief beside that the family should be the only ones that he should look out for. When the kids got there gift he forbid them from useinf them in town, only when there 15 can they use them

Pedro is very protective of Julieta since she the youngest, small, and with her gift to speak the animals she more kind and has the least dangerous gift, also Julieta heavily looks like alma

Pedro keeps Julieta lock in then casita for years making Oscar and pepa watch and protect their babysit

When Julieta is 15 and she finally allowed to go outside after much begging, she ends up wonder away and gets bullied by some gift and boys they verbal and physically assaulted her and Oscar found out and murder them right there

Julieta meet Agustin when she was 22 and him 20, they meet because Agustin saw her taking and talking to a mother cat and her newborns. Agustin thought Julieta was a sweet and silly girl. They two meet and become friends. Julieta really likes Agustin because he’s the only one that didn’t bully her or infantile her

Oscar dosnt/did gives the town that many visions, because they vision usually show the mundane. When it’s a bad vision the town dosnt hate Oscar but are thankfully he warns them. Oscar ends up doing theater and entertainment for the children, once Julieta is allowed outside she and the animals also help entertaining
