DCLA aficionados, i've got you covered for the month of June! say hello to the first ever edition of DCLA PRIDE MONTH!

i had the idea to dedicate this special month to the queer couples we love from our favourite shows. a while back i asked my friends (couldn't have done it without their help as we all know i haven't watched 2/3rds of these shows lol) and thanks to their help and support, the dcla pride month 2023 is now officially happening!

please feel free to join in the fun by writing, drawing, editing, pretty much doing anything you want to celebrate the pairings that you love the most! tag me in your content and ill make sure to reblog and share anything you come up with. let your imagination run free, and most importantly, have fun! i want this to be as an exciting and enjoyable month as possible, don't feel forced to join in or to do every day at all!

as you can see every day is dedicated to a ship with june 27th being d+la day (choose a queer ship for any d+la show you enjoy) and the last three days are wild cards for any couples i might have missed or that are already in the calendar, but you just wanna make content for them again!

What I realized I missed now when I wrote an asoue fic for the first time in a while, is how much I missed writing sibling dynamics.

I love writing DCLA fics a lot, but NO ONE HAS SIBLINGS IN DCLA. And if they DO have siblings, they are either only mentioned and not shown, they have an age gap or they are sweet to each other all the time. Or their sibling is DEAD. This is why when two characters became stepsisters in a season we all LOST IT because FINALLY WE GET SOME REAL SIBLING MOMENTS. To write sibling dynamics in fics, you either have the super few in canon, create siblings for a character that we never see the home life of in canon, or straight up make next gens.

But in asoue it’s ALL about siblings. Siblings here, siblings there, always in threes. You thought they were twins, THEY’RE TRIPLETS, you thought there were two and here’s their little brother. The ones that don’t have siblings are VILLAINS /hj

Writing asoue fics then just lets you have all the sibling content you want. Heck, why not double the siblings? Have a 6 siblings AU and have twice as much sibling content!

i think we should talk more about what the fuck is up with "main villains of argentine kids-oriented telenovelas that are like a-jjba-protagonist-and-a-half" but maybe that is just me

they probably have a lot more in common but i was tired... and this basically came up to me yesterday in a dream, so yeah.

The writing advent calendar is back!!

I went back and forth on did I wanna make this again or not, mostly because I'm scared that I used all my ideas last year, but here we are. This is supposed to be a challenge for a reason. I loved doing this last year, so we're challenging ourselves again.

I went little different this year, and gave just an one-world prompts instead of more specific ones we had last year.

hi! inspired by @bl-bracket ‘s super cool “build a bl” polls, I thought of doing one for dcla (disney channel latin america) shows! the idea would be that each factor, like main actor, age/gender ectra of characters, location, tropes and so on would have a poll and we could as a community create a dcla show!

characters will be cast using dcla cast members, ie the violetta, soy luna and bia casts. however, if an actor was the main love interest (like Jorge, Ruggero and Julio) then they wouldn’t qualify for that position again. they would be able to become a different role. for the first few polls I will be tagging the major shows but from there I will be tagging all create a dcla polls with #createdclashow and it’ll all be located here!

DCLA Pride Month Prompts 1-10

okay so now that ik there’s soy luna fans here i feel the need to rant about simbar

first of all, i genuinely love this ship like i find it hard to believe this is a disney based ship granted disney channel LA is veryyy different with their shows it’s still mind boggling like even as someone who was a violetta and leonetta shipper since 2012 they don’t even compare to simbar for me.

i started watching soy luna recently when i was bored one day and went to rewatch violetta, i always knew of soy luna but it came out when i was already way out of my disney phase. but geezzzz simbars chemistry is unmatched and they don’t make me get second embarrassment from any of their scenes. dare i say they solo every other disney ship 🤔
