Earth trying to subtly convince her brothers to seek therapy

The day I find a redemption fic about Eclipse where they maintain their personality, where the autor don't minimize the damage he did to the rest of the cast, where they don't blame everything on Old Moon, and where they don't modify the personalities of other characters for convenience them to antagonize him or force them to feel excessive pity for the guy (when in the show it is evident that the characters never would), that day I will have struck gold.

I’m not a big fan of self inserts or just shipping yourself with a character, BUT GOD I WOULD READ A DARK SUN X READER FANFIC.

There is something that I have wanted to mention in public for a long time but since it had to do directly with the show, until recently read other confessions where they mention stories made by fans…

There are no good Eclipse fanfics having him redemption :(

Or maybe I haven't had the fortune to find one.

Don't misunderstand, some start out good, maintaining the real personality of the show's characters, but sooner rather than later they fall into the easy way out of minimizing the damage the character did to others like Sun or Lunar for example, and blaming everything on OldMoon, stripping Eclipse of his identity as a villain and leaving him solely as a victim.

Why can't it be both? Why can't he properly deal with the consequences of his actions as a villain, accept the results of that, and find empathy towards others by remembering what he himself suffered???

I wish my brain was as good with writing as sometimes am with numbers because if I had the time and confidence for it would really like to try to make a story that feels more correct and did justice to the character.

PS: Obviously I'm talking about the original Eclipse and its backup, not the imitation built by Ruin.

In all honesty I always admired how Solar would crouch down when talking to Lunar while Eclipse would never do that…

In this AU… Phineas is evil scientist, and he wants to conquer the world. Candace is a genius hacker who keeps her brothers’ evil plans from being discovered by their parents. Isabella is a very active girl who shows her affection for Phineas. Dr. Doofenshmirtz is not evil. Instead, his daughter Vanessa is evil. And Ferb…..is really talkative. He has a crush on some evil girl, and often tells her about his brother’s evil plans.

I agree with that one post that said Lunar was a cooler character back when he was morally grey. He was like this naive and innocent kid, but in a bad way. Like he lacked empathy. He just wanted to have fun and not be bored. He was fully okay with others being hurt or killed. Heck, he was fully okay with torturing Moon by moving around a lot. He knew it hurt him, and he intentionally moved his arms a lot to do it. And the fact that Moon never once lashed out at him like he did to Sun always bugged me, but that's a whole other post on its own. And when Eclipse started messing with his want for fun, and then hit him, Lunar was fully okay with Eclipse getting hurt or killed. He just had zero empathy, and latched onto those who could help him get what he wanted, like Monty and Moon. I don't know how to describe it, but he was just so fun to think about because he was just like Eclipse. He lacked empathy and was only out for himself in the end. He used others to get what he wanted. It came off as innocent and like a child because of his voice and the way he acted, and he used that despite him saying he wasn't really a kid. It was honestly such a neat take on an innocent type character. And I really loved it. I know they changed him to be more nice because the fans loved him so much, but part of me always wished he'd kind of stayed almost a villain. It feels like the fans acted like everything he said and did was okay or excused, so the writing suddenly switched up to him being this poor baby and everything he said and did was actually okay instead of messed up. I don't know, I'm just ranting at this point. I wish I knew how to put it into better words. I like Lunar now, but I loved the old Lunar.

I could talk about Old Moon, New Moon, and Eclipse for days. I could make college-grade essays if I could get my thoughts together enough. I just find it so unendingly fascinating how they're essentially three parts of a whole. Eclipse was a piece of Old Moon and so is New Moon, it's genuinely so neat and cool and tragic to me. Anyway the song Stranger by Anjimile captures this feeling perfectly and I couldn't hold back from gushing about it anymore. It's one of the songs on my personal SAMS playlist lol
