Platonic & Romantic Headcanons – Yandere

WARNING: strong and bloody violence, guns, stalking, alcohol use, references to torture, death, undeath, desecration of corpses, abduction, psychological manipulation, toxic mindset.

PLATONIC:

From his days of spying and backstabbing as a human footstool for Fish Mooney, Oswald has understood that most relationships are transactional and devoid of real intimacy. Hence, he becomes so readily attached when someone goes out of their way to make his time on this earth a little easier.

In this person, whom he now wishes to have as a lifelong friend, Oswald sees a shining exception to human ugliness, for whose sake he is willing to break laws, spend vast sums of money, and take lives to keep with him.

The late Gertrud Kapelput taught him that one must give everything to those dearest to one's heart, a lesson Oswald will honour for the rest of his life.

In addition to assassinating people on his friend's behalf, this devotion translates to buying out entire inventories of jewellery and clothes for them. He offers free drinks at his nightclub, guarantees protection if they operate a business, and provides super-secret special access to all his mother's recipes.

Being sentenced to Arkham or Blackgate is no matter when Mayor Cobblepot is eager to finagle the early release of an old friend. He will blackmail, intimidate, and coerce all the appropriate offices until the person he wants is back with him.

Oswald becomes exceedingly irritable and anxious if separated from his friend for too long.

He relies on them to lend him an ear whenever he needs to castrate a rival verbally. Although he is not the most cooperative, Oswald is sensitive to any advice from his friend, a sensitivity that doubles if they tell him he is a good man.

As soon as they are more than a few hours late for a meeting and have not contacted him with an airtight explanation, Oswald is howling at his goons to find them and phoning the GCPD to babble about filing a missing persons report. He refuses to sleep or stop pursuing their alleged killer after his worried heart tells him they lie dead in an alley.

Oswald is drowning in grief and hysteria, attacking anyone who delivers bad news about the search when his friend returns to him alive. He collapses into their arms and rejoices that he can delay learning how it would feel to live without them a bit longer, at which point he begs them to clear their schedule in favour of accompanying him through his day.

If anyone dares make a laughingstock of this relationship and, by extension, him, Oswald paces up and down his home while guzzling wine and ranting about how he will roast these people's entrails like chestnuts over an open fire.

Practising emotional honesty for something other than anger takes every courage Oswald can summon. It is safer for him to live out his days half-satisfied and fantasizing than to put his hopes to the test and risk terrifying rejection, so while he is weighing the pros and cons of coming clean, Oswald awaits a sign that the attachment is reciprocal.

In his ideal world, he lives in his father's mansion and drinks tea with his mother and friend while everyone talks about how he proved the critics wrong and became a great man despite everything.

This dream will never come true for various reasons that keep Oswald awake at night, so he persuades his friend to take one of the guest bedrooms and dispatches those who might threaten his monopoly on their attention.

He does much to sweeten the deal, which, when broken down to its most basic elements, is a request for his friend to devote themselves to him, as Gertrud did and as he says he did for them.

A gourmet breakfast and dinner from Olga every day are a given, but the only item on which Oswald will not make concessions is permission to leave Gotham.

Suppose his friend chooses a life of crime. Oswald considers himself their proudest and most adamant supporter. If they are arrested, he will burst into the police station with an army of sycophants - if necessary, an angry mob of misguided citizens - and demand that all charges be dropped.

If the GCPD resists, he will send Victor Zsasz to raid the precinct in a hail of bullets or turn the case into a political issue for the cameras and journalists to shame the police into submission.

A constant sense of danger looms over the friendship, like wolves over a sick deer. Oswald sees it every day in the crowds wishing him to suffer, in the way his heartbeat jumps and pushes him to lash out each time someone approaches his friend with a suspicious look.

This hypervigilance may one day prove too stressful, and Oswald decides his best course of action is to fake his friend's death and sequester them in a safe house until he rules Gotham's underworld with absolute power.

If they do die, Oswald embraces their corpse and wails like a lost child until he has to retreat to survive or gets a chance to mangle the one he thinks is to blame. Afterwards, he is subject to fits of rage and melancholy when reminded of his departed friend and enlists Hugo Strange to revive them.

Operating under a fat paycheck and the threat of torture if he fails, Strange is cleared to sacrifice as many people and make as many monstrous modifications as necessary to succeed.

Driven mad by loss compounded, Oswald finds scarcely a price not worth paying if it allows him to have back one of the few bright spots in his life.

ROMANTIC:

In terms of relationship security, Oswald experiences some cognitive dissonance. He wants to believe that his partner will never abandon him, but at the same time, he fears losing them to anyone with a pulse.

Oswald, pathologically insecure, suspects his partner of finding a replacement for him after one ill-timed joke, one misunderstood smile, or one rejection of another's flirtation that he does not feel was direct enough. He flies into a tirade about how they lead him on and play with his emotions to leech off his wealth and influence.

This explosive tantrum sends his every minion scurrying far away, for whichever lackey is standing closest to him at that moment will be stabbed in the neck with a broken bottle or beaten senseless with a fire poker, depending on the setting.

Even though the physical aspects of his rage never touch his partner, the threat of what he could do to them is present evermore.

Throughout his life, the only people who have invariably been kind to him without ulterior motives are his parents, especially his mother. Therefore, a genuine compliment from his partner overwhelms him with the feeling of being wanted and makes him grossly overestimate his importance to them.

If someone claims that his partner has been disloyal to him, Oswald disregards any evidence as forged and maims the messenger for, in his eyes, being a filthy liar.

The only way he would believe such a thing is if he uncovers the evidence himself, in which Oswald would rather blame a third party for forcing his partner's hand than let go of the comforting delusion that this relationship is meant to be.

As his rise to power destabilizes him mentally and puts a glaring target on his back, Oswald fears leaving his partner alone, even for a minute.

His paranoia spirals out of control until he becomes obsessed with the possibility that enemies he knows too well and those he has yet to discover will come to murder or kidnap and torture the last good thing in his miserable existence.

Oswald assigns Victor Zsasz to keep vigil over his partner day and night for the foreseeable future, giving Victor—who in turn gives his henchwomen—strict shoot-on-sight orders for any visitors not on his list.

The list is shorter than a pig's tail and consists of Oswald himself, Victor and crew, and as an on-again, off-again member, Edward Nygma.

In his deranged mind, not even Jim Gordan has business speaking to his partner without him there to monitor the interaction.

Suppose Oswald gets the impression that someone is trying to wheedle information out of his partner or bully them into betraying his trust. In that case, this interloper is slain with extreme prejudice at the earliest opportunity.

Suppose a friend or family member decides to come over unannounced and receives a bullet to the brain, que será, será. Oswald has convinced himself that all the others in his partner's life are traitors waiting to happen, or, if not traitors, vulnerabilities that his enemies will use to lure his partner away from the safety of his watchful eye.

Acts of disrespect towards those he cares about make Oswald apoplectic, so if he hears anything about anyone accosting or assaulting his partner, someone is getting an umbrella crammed down their throat.

Whether he beats the culprit to death with a baseball bat, lets Victor have fun with them, or mounts their severed head on one of his end tables and calls it a decoration depends on the severity of his partner's distress.

If tears are shed, and blood is bled, whoever caused them this pain is hunted like an animal and reduced to meat paste.

Through mass execution and permanent disfigurement, Oswald makes it clear that his partner is off-limits to Gotham's underworld, even to those members who have been licensed to do wrong by the Pax Penguina.

Anyone still holding them at gunpoint loses an arm and then a life, and Oswald insists that he take that life himself because everything that threatens his partner threatens him, too.

If in Arkham together, Oswald deems himself far more honest than the rest of these ruffians and thus makes a promise. Any violence against his partner will be inflicted tenfold on the perpetrators, whom he adds to his big book of names to disappear once he regains his status as King of Gotham.

Locked alone in the asylum, Oswald worries that his partner will leave and forget about him. Once free, he tracks their current address by any means necessary and seeks confirmation that they have not forsaken him.

This absence has so reinforced his inability to separate that the appearance of a new person or a request to distance himself from them is perceived as a betrayal.

Although Oswald will always forgive his partner, he will not quit plotting revenge against those who gave them these terrible ideas. The day of reckoning for these pond scum will come when and how he pleases.

In the meantime, he would like to share a ribeye steak with his partner while everyone else in Gotham starves.

Not much changes from his actual Yandere personality.

Most of what changes is that he becomes so much more quicker to kidnap for a Darling that does 'pebbling' [something that Penguins do].

For such an affectionate Darling, it is reasonable to assume that that is also the type of Darling that is willing and okay for him to assume a role as a father.

He would enjoy any and all things that you give him, cherishing them. Even if they were worth a lot of money, he would never sell or get rid of the things that his kid gave him, especially from such a willing kiddo.

prompt: dear yandere

warnings!

yandere themes and behaviors, kidnapping, murder, mention of gagging, forced affection. (i think thats mostly it?)

Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?

Oswald will go above and beyond for their darling. He may be a bit shy when first falling for them and won't immediately confess but if you're already friends, Oswald is very supportive and there for you. He's definitely picked up soothing tactics that his mother used for him, we all know he's a brat, which comes very useful when you're upset. He's not usually the one to do things for other people unless he gets something in return but if he sees you upset and glooming around, he instantly get up himself to make you some tea.

Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

Like I said, he's willing to go above and beyond for you and that also means killing anyone that's in your or his way. You might wanna keep your complaints to yourself because if you one day complain about a co-worker or even a random stranger on the street, they'll show up dead or missing a few days later. If it is a personal threat to him and yours relationship, he might be hesitant on killing them straight up because he also cares about your feelings and how you think of him. He'll try and bargain with someone who's trying to get in between your guys' relationship, and if that doesn't work- he'll just order someone to kill them with no trace whatsoever. He's delusional enough to believe it's for the best, he does feel remorseful but only for hurting you in the process but it all disappears once you go crying to him and wanting comfort after learning about your friend dying under mysterious circumstances. He'll usually get all his victims killed by henchmen and hired assassins but once in a while someone will just tick him off, someone will say an offhanded insult to you or your relationship, and Oswald freaks. He's cunning and calculated, he doesn't like all-together chaos, he needs to be in control but sometimes his emotions are just too overbearing and powerful, so he'll kill whoever in a jealous rage by stabbing them to death or strangling them until they turn purple. You better hope you aren't there when that happens because it is traumatizing, he'll then turn to you with blood splatter coating his face, you're horrified but he feels so bad. He starts crying and begging for your forgiveness and you just have to give in and shush him, because.. who knows what he might do to you if you don’t?

Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?

I don't think he'd be outright rude to his darling but if they put up too much of a fight and start fighting him or calling him names, he'll laugh at them and condescendingly tell them how stupid they were for not realizing sooner but that's about how far as he goes because he's also extremely sympathetic to a scared darling. He wants to comfort and cuddle them but he knows that if he does they'll only scream and shudder away from him and his heart breaks. He'll leave them to calm down for a few hours or even days depending, only coming in to bring them food since he doesn't trust any of his maids or men to. Only he can comfort your fragile state. Once you start becoming comfortable with him, he is so delighted. He'll start hand-feeding you and spoiling you with luxurious fabrics and robes, this man goes all out. He'll get both of your portraits painted and hung in the room, he'll tell you all about his mom and start crying saying how much she would want to meet you, Oswald has a thing for details so all custom made clothing will be embellished with small umbrella detailing.

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

After a while of you being there, he'll demand affection in return after all that he's done for you. Oswald has unconditional love for you but he was also raised in Gotham where if you give something, you get something back and he expects you to do the same for him once in a while. He won't push you to kiss him or hug him but if you start fighting if he tries to feed you or lay his head against your chest, he'll get up and start screaming about how difficult you're being. Although he wouldn't dare lay a hand on you, if you don't like yelling then it can get rough because this man can have temper tantrums that can be heard throughout the mansion.

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

He is more vulnerable to you than anyone besides his family, but he is also embarrassed. He doesn't want to tell you how much of a bad person he is and the things he has done if you don't already know. He cries and sobs about his mother and father dying but he won't tell you how his mother died or what happened to his stepmom and stepsiblings after they poisoned his father. He'll just smile at you and wipe his tears saying that's enough for today as he tucks you into bed.

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

He'd be incredibly hurt but understanding, he can take his daring fighting him any day but he just hates when they call him names or say how they hate him. He'll snap and either kill someone closest by, start throwing furniture, or gag you. If you're only just fighting him, he can try and calm you down but will give up quickly enough if you try and scratch at his eyes or headbutt him, he'll just sigh and wait until you fall asleep and then come back and start all over again.

Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?

He doesn't like it at all and tries his best to never let his darling escape. He'll go ballistic if you do manage to escape, even if it's just 8 minutes and you've barely left the property, he'll still order nearly all his men to go after you and kill anyone who helped you. The first thing he does when you're returned is check if you're okay. He's out of breath even though he was sitting the entire time and he frantically checks your clothing for any cuts or wounds, if there is none he'll just hold your head for a while. He is so scared to lose you, his love is his greatest weakness as he has lost everyone he has opened up to, he'd rather die first than lose you.

Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?

Probably whenever he kills someone in front of his darling, the only time he does this is when he kills out of rage. It opens your eyes to how much of a dangerous criminal he really is and that he could break you if he wanted to.

Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

He wants to just bathe in your presence, it would truly mean the world to him if you loved him back. I don't think marriage would be something he'd want but he's certainly not opposed to it, Oswald would much rather spend his lonely quiet days with just you than have an entire wedding but being 'officially together' is something he can definitely be interested in. Children aren't really his thing, not only does he not like kids but I cant see him being a very good father with his lifestyle. (edit; i finished gotham and i may take this statement back)

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

He gets EXTREMELY jealous, he hates to see you get close with anyone he deems as a nuisance. Oswald also has very little self-esteem in himself, sure he has his persistence and intelligence but he knows and doubts that anyone could truly love him the way his mother and father could.

Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?

He wants to always be around his darling, his life is a bit of a mess but nothing makes him happier than to come how to his darling and have a nap with them to forget all that he's been through. He's more caring and generous to his darling than anyone before.

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

It can go separate ways depending on his relationship with you, if you don't know him he'll wait until he is able to introduce himself, he'd want to make sure everything was perfect but not too obvious he's only after you so he'd maybe stop by your work or make his way into your life by your friends and/or family. If you're friends, he'll be a bit shy to confess but it's kinda obvious he is smitten with you and will gush about it to Olga and bite anyone's heads off if they get too close to you. Eventually, if he gets a hint or hears that you like him too he'll instantly confess, choking back tears saying how he's waited so long and that he's so happy you like him too, even if that's not the case.

Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?

Definitely, you cannot make this man hate you. You can stab him, kill all his men and he'll still beg and sob about how much he loves you. With others, he's an intimidating little short man who can get you killed that very same day but to you, he's literally the shyest person and bats his eyes while brushing the few black hairs that fell out of place once you say something nice to him. He cannot stop smiling or blushing about you.

Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

He'll take away rewards or any privileges. You act out, then good clothing and good food are taken away from you, you try and hurt him? You're locked in a single room until you start sobbing to him about how sorry you are. You escape? He won't hurt you but you'll be locked in a room with his or his men's supervision and you won't be let out outside ever again.

Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?

You can still talk with others or even go outside if you're good, but only on his terms and with who he deems appropriate if he gets even the slightest suspicious of you planning to escape or you getting too close with someone? Say bye-bye. Not only does he demand affection but he also wants to take care of you, which means bathing you, feeding you, and making sure that you're healthy and well taken for. He does allow privacy but only if he trusts you.

Patience: How patient are they with their darling?

He can be very patient with you but to others around him? HAH, no.

Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?

No, no and no. This man will be thinking of YOU on his death bed along with all his other dead loved ones. You won't be able to leave without the fear of you getting hurt and that's the very last thing he wants and you escape- he won't ever stop thinking or searching for you.

Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?

He'd feel very guilty but feels he has no solution, he knows he can't move on and he blames it on Gotham and the people itself. I can't see him ever letting his darling go unless he dies.

Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?

Mostly his childhood and all his trauma, each loved one of his has died by his hands or left him and he cannot let the same happen to you.

Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?

If his darling starts crying, he starts crying. He is basically a toddler. If they end up isolating themselves, it would be the thing most to make his heart break, he doesn't like seeing you turn into nothing but a waste, he loves you for you. He'll attempt to get you into high spirits or encourage any sort of reaction out of you, just as long as you say something to him.

Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?

I guess that he's open to letting you go outside. Also that he does not want to hurt you physically at all, he's also very shy and it would take some time before he decides to kidnap you.

Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?

Definitely his childhood but only if you're careful, he can definitely be fooled by you but not by other people. He also does not underestimate you, it'd be very difficult to escape because even if his guard is down around you, his men are certainly making sure you don't escape. You could probably hatch a plan to drug or knock out Oswald, killing or hurting him would not be an option or else you'd have no chance of escape. But other than that, your chances of escaping are up to luck and how good you are at beating dozens of guards.

Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?

Physically? No, never. Mentally on the other hand... not saying that Oswald would ever want to hurt in any way but he'll probably guilt trip you into feeling bad for him or even going through your personal life and deepest trauma in order for you to submit to him if you're being too difficult for too long. He'll bring up that trauma and make you talk about it until you're crying to him, he'll break down your walls as long as you open up to him.

Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?

He thinks that you're a goddess and that you can do no wrong, he'll be broken if you betray him and won't believe it from others unless they have proof or he catches you himself.

Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?

He'll pine for a while and just soak in all of the puppy dog love, it isn't until he gets jealous that he snaps. He'll believe someone is poisoning your mind and trying to turn you against him because why wouldn't his enemies go after the one thing he truly cares about?

Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?

I mean, he'll try not to? As long as you behave, you could have a fairly normal life with him. You'll still have enough freedom to go outside and talk to people, he won't ever hurt you and you could have anything you want. Just, don't piss him off enough that he'll start stabbing a person right in front of you.

you are no exception to this rule. he sees you and it clicks immediately. he's not a big believer in god or fate, but he knows somehow that this is a meant to be thing.

his first move's gonna be charming your fuckin socks off. he's buying you dinner, he's complimenting you- he wants to give you everything you want

he is also going to watch you like a hawk.

do not be surprised if you have bodyguards. don't be surprised if you find cameras in your apartment. don't be surprised if oswald name-drops someone in your life that you haven't told him about. he already knows.

in all honesty he probably has a file on you, or something equally crazy

he wants to know everything about the people in your life. when you bring someone up, he's got questions- who are they? where'd you meet them? how'd you meet them?

and then he does his own independent research, because they could be manipulating you! and what kind of partner would he be if he knowingly let you open yourself up to people who would hurt you?

his need to keep tabs on you doesn't stem from insecurity, it stems from protectiveness

if someone tries to make a move on you, they probably won't be seen again. oswald's got people to break legs for that

Victor didn’t usually get driven home by Oswald’s driver, however from the moment he’d been scowled at and told they were leaving the Iceberg he knew precisely why. Victor had sighed, rolled his eyes, and said coming Boss, prying himself away from the pretty redhead he’d caught the eye of. Oswald’s jaw was clenched and he hadn’t said another word the entire journey home. Victor whistled and tapped his foot, sighed, and fidgeted trying to pass away the awkward silence. After what felt like an eternity they finally arrived back home. Oswald hurried through the front door, as far as he could with his cane and a good few glasses of wine in his belly. Victor dragged his feet and took things a little slower, when he finally shut the door behind him he was unsurprised to see Oswald stood there in the entrance having placed his walking stick to the side and a vicious glare in his hazel eyes.

“You know, I’m really starting to think something’s bothering you,” Victor joked. Oswald stepped forward, his hands shaking with anger. He grabbed Victor’s collar with his small hand, and spun him to the right, finally slamming him against the wall of his estate. His pale fingers working their way up to Victor’s throat and squeezing.

“What’s got you all worked up, Boss?” Victor gasped, unable to hide the smirk on his lips. He squirmed as he felt his clit twitch and cunt heat up.

“You. Acting like a stupid, fucking whore,” Oswald yelled, his voice cracking as he did. Testosterone was causing it to break, and given his voice got higher when he was angrier it made him sound a little more deranged. That did not help Victor’s arousal, and made Oswald even angrier.

“Okay I always like a whore but I’m definitely not stupid.” Victor licked his lips after he spoke, letting out a whining sigh as Oswald gripped Victor’s neck tighter until he spluttered. “Unless you want me to be, daddy,” he added jokingly. His voice mockingly whiny. Oswald growled and pulled Victor forwards then slammed him back against the wall, causing a sickening crack as his head bounced. Victor blinked rapidly, swaying slightly as he grew dizzy.

“Why do you have to fucking make them drool all over you? The fucking girls at the club. You know I- fuck!” Oswald let go of Victor’s neck, letting him stand their unsteadily and then Oswald clumsily lifted up one hand and punched him in the jaw. “I hate it. Hate it hate it hate it.” He was rambling, his words slurring slightly as he grew more aggravated.

“Come on, Boss. You know I’m yours,” Victor said, still smiling despite his bruised face and probably concussion. “All yours. None of those bitches matter. All they are is a pussy to fuck and a sweet, sweet scar.” Oswald sighed and stared at Victor, a sulking anger still in his face.

“She was drooling all over you.” Oswald swallowed and his cheeks reddened. “That stupid fucking chorus girl. She was thirty seconds away from shoving your hand up her skirt.”

“Yeah. Probably,” Victor agreed. Oswald let out a whining hiss and grabbed Victor’s shirt. He pulled him forward before shoving him onto the floor. Victor stumbled and fell backwards, looking up at Oswald with darkened eyes as his breathing grew heavier. Oswald kicked Victor in the stomach again, and again, and again. If Oswald had stopped to think for a moment, he would have known Victor could’ve broken his wrist from the first strike. He knew full well Victor was letting him hurt him. It was obvious in everything from Victor’s small smile and his squirming, deep breathing arousal. That didn’t stop Oswald from kicking him until he was panting over Victor, before straddling his waist and cupping his jaw in one hand. He stroked his cheekbone with his thumb as he tried to catch his breath, feeling calmed by how beautiful Victor was bruised and beaten beneath him.

but anyone who doesn't have the sense to know he's the better choice in any situation is too dumb to be with him

however, for the right person (that person being you...)

he might be known to spend nights in his office, avoiding going home to his empty apartment

because it bothers him that you're not there, sitting beside him

curling up to him in bed, waking up to him in the mornings

all the little things that he's missing out on, that someone else now has

it's enough to drive a respectable businessman to some rather cruel efforts to get what he wants

but the sudden, unprompted, and rather intense development of a mini jungle outside of your apartment?

but only she can build you a botanical garden wherever you please

something that keeps living and growing

just like her intense infatuation with you

and the dead weight your carrying around with you will definitely become handy

since they can be mixed into compost for her gardens

although, if he really sat down to think about it

his talents could definitey see him go far here, e.g. his skill in the art of disposal

and of course, he's willing to use force if need be

some of his best lectures have been given with a captive audience

sometimes it really is the only way to get people like you to listen

and perhaps, at the end, he'll offer up a little pop quiz, the kind where if you fail it, your head goes pop

everything comes down to a choice

you just happened to make the wrong one

now harvey might be willing to respect your choices

he's a reasonable man after all

but two face is not taking this absolutely shocking disregard of his feelings well

it's not even up for the coin to decide

he just knows that he would love the opportunity to show you what you're missing

the minute he suspects you're unhappy though, he is back on his simping bullshit with you, not brave enough to just ask you out

and you better hope he never gets the idea that your partner is being anything less than wonderful to you

or he'll crush them with one hand

Gotham City had its ups and downs. Mostly downs, but it really depended on who you were. Born into money, a nepotism child being served everything on a silver platter - or just the average citizen, trying to play the hand they’ve been dealt.

Like many other girls struggling, you turned to the Iceberg Lounge for employment. It was well-paying, an easy to get job that would surely never lose business.

Each day payed well, you were a favourite amongst the crowd, even distracting some employees, giving them a sultry wink leaving them to long for more.

Amongst the men you’d see in your days, only a few really stuck out, your usual clients, some of the frequent patrons you’d catch staring at you during your routine. You’d hear them chatter as you go backstage, just drunken bar talk.

“Hey, dollface,” you heard through the blaring music and chatter. Not sure who it was, you glanced over and ignored it.

“Ay, I’m talkin’ to you!” The man snapped his fingers right at you.

Startled, you looked behind yourself. A larger middle aged man smiled at you, showing off his gold tooth.

“Didn’t mean to scare ya, angel, couldn’t help but tell you how gorgeous ya look.”

You smiled and nodded, about to walk away and go backstage to change your outfit, but he grabbed you by your shoulder.

“Don’t just leave when I’m talking to you, do you know who I am?”

“I’m, uh, I’m afraid not, sir.”

“Oh, princess.”

He looked at you as if disappointed, shocked even, letting out a deep sigh.

“Oswald Cobblepot. Owner of the place.” He winked and flashed a smile, and you were entirely convinced your life flashed right before your eyes.

“I didn’t know, I’m so sorry Mr. Cobblepot, really, I just never heard or seen who owns this pla-“ He hushed you, taking a seat down next to you. Who knew such a gangster coils be so gentlemanly, resting his arms on the crushed velvet sides.

“Not many people know, hah, better to be in the shadows so I can really see what people do here behind closed doors.” He chuckled, taking a sip of whiskey. “Say, think you could give me a private show? I like you a lot, you’re a charmer without even tryin’.”

Before you could even respond, blushing wildly, your manager came over to the two of you.

“Hey! Show’s on in 5, stop flirting with the customers! Ain’t like you’re getting paid extra or whatnot.” He stood between you and Oz, giving you a little shove to the dressing room entrance.

“And you, don’t flirt with my girls while they’re on the job, that’s what after hours are for!” He hissed at Oz, not knowing his position either.

Oz held his hands up, as if surrendering to the man, a smug grin on his face as the manager barked at you again, noticing your longing expression directed towards Oz.

“You’ll have enough time to flirt after your shift is over. Come on, don’t keep ‘em waiting!”

“She can stay with me as long as I want.” Oz grabbed you by the waist, protectively pulling you close to him.

“Excuse me? You think you run the place, or what?”

“‘Fact I do.” Oswald pulled out a gold-plated revolver from his coat, waving it around towards the exit. “What’s your name, kid? Tell me. I wanna know who’s mama I’m gonna be talking to, ordering around girls like that.”

The man was in too much shock to speak, instead tackling Oswald, choking him. Oswald managed to keep a grip on the revolver, shooting the man once in the head as the shot echoed throughout the club.

Oswald smiled at you, lifting himself back up on his feet and kicking the man to the side.

“You okay, sweetheart?”

You nodded, your mouth agape. He stuck two of his fingers inside, grazing your bottom teeth, taking them out to give you a kiss. Reaching inside of his pocket, he pulled out a hundred dollar bill with his number written on it.

“Nothin’ more gorgeous than a hundred dollar bill, baby, nothin’ but you. Buy yourself something pretty, you’re daddy’s now.” he said, before you could even speak.

“I say this is the night you become mine, angel.”

“I don’t like them all looking at you.”

Characters: Oswald Cobblepot, Victor Zsasz (Gotham)

Oswald sat in his regular spot in the Iceberg, in the VIP lounge on the balcony watching over his bar and everyone in it. He should have been delighted at his success, and apart of him was. Unfortunately his eyes were fixed on his favoured assassin who was leaning on the bar by his elbow. He was wearing black leather trousers and a black sleeveless top, with Oswald’s dead mother’s rosary around his neck. Oswald felt almost irritated that Victor had not worn his coat, without it his toned slim arms, the slight raise of his chest… it didn’t help that Victor was speaking to a woman, she was pretty Oswald supposed. She had long blonde hair, and was wearing a black dress - she was unremarkable. That was Victor’s favourite, no one noticed the unremarkable ones. She reached out and stroked Victor’s arm as they spoke and he handed her a drink. She didn’t even notice Victor didn’t have one for himself. Oswald surveyed the scene from above, the bar staff were watching Victor, so was the woman he was charming. Oswald started to spiral, thinking that everyone was staring at his Victor. Wanting to touch him. Take him away from him. Oswald scrambled for his phone in his suit pocket, an old battered thing that didn’t match his elegant and rich appearance.

Here. Now. Oswald text simply. He stared at Victor at the bar - impatience growing inside of him. The wait almost made him want to throw his glass of wine at the wall. Finally, Victor picked up his phone and saw it. He flashed a look up at the balcony, the lights not letting him see Oswald clearly but he knew he was being watched. He stroked the woman’s arm and murmured something in her ear before leaving and heading for the VIP area. Oswald calmed down instantly, he was sipping at his red wine when Victor entered. To everyone else he seemed unbothered and nonchalant, but there was a slight hint of annoyance that only Victor could see. He deliberately sat down opposite Oswald, covering his view over the club.

“So, why did you call me here, Boss?” Victor asked as he folded his arms.

“I wanted to see you,” Oswald replied, taking a large gulp of his deep red wine.

“Right, right, and nothing to do with who I was talking to down there.”

“Who you were talking to downstairs, dressed like a slut, and unarmed.“

“I’m not unarmed. I’m never unarmed.” Victor crossed one leg over the other, reminding Oswald of the dagger slid inside each of his large, black boots.

“I don’t… it’s not- I don’t like you being so out in the open,” Oswald spluttered.

“You’re jealous,” Victor observed somewhat needlessly with a slight glint in his green eyes and a slight smile. “Hot.”

“Victor, don’t be stupid,” Oswald snapped. “I’m- you’re mine.”

“I know, Boss. You know me. Every girl I pick up isn’t important. They’re just going to end up the same way as the others.”

“I don’t like seeing her look at you, the way she touched you…” Oswald squirmed and drained the rest of his glass. “I don’t like how everyone looks at you. You’re mine. I like watching and touching you and keeping you close and no one else should get to do that.”

“No one does that like you do, Os.” Victor’s voice cracked as he spoke, his throat growing dry with arousal. “Look, if when we get home you want to scream and throw things, that’s fine. But I’m not going to stop-” Oswald interrupted him by grabbing his wrist and pulling him forward towards him.

“I don’t like seeing them watching you, I don’t like seeing them fawn over you, I want you to be mine and only mine. You are mine.” Oswald’s voice was thick and he felt his arousal spread from his stomach. He pulled Victor towards him, and even thought he could resist - he doesn’t.
