UPDATE: Hey tumblr. My boyfriend had a biopsy the day of his scheduled surgery, and it had confirmed that his cancer had spread. His surgery was cancelled to schedule him more tests and get put on immunotherapy.
Tests came back confirming he is stage 3.
Bills are starting to come in, and he has not even had his surgery yet, nor immunotherapy started. We are begging for any help at all.

#ive made the mistake of thinking about the public reaction to buildmart once again#and the amount of bullshit noxcrew and scott go through for the fuckin existence of that game#like yeah there will always be people who dont enjoy it. there is no thing on this earth that everyone loves#but the environment around that game would get a Lot less toxic if Some Streamers would stop shouting to the heavens#and to their thousands of viewers about how its a garbage game and should be removed.#when you have that many viewers your own behavior does set a precedent for what is and isnt okay in the fandom.#its why saying 'i dont condone harassing' is useless if you single out antis and put them in a thousand-person spotlight#and i can think of two times off the top of my head that Certain Streamers have gotten their coworkers sent death threats#because of calling them cheaters or whatever while live#'you cant blame them for the fanbase' but i can blame them for encouraging that behavior with their actions#there will always be toxic people in fandoms and there is almost always some low level toxicity spread throughout#but there are ways as a cc you can mitigate that toxicity Or make it worse based on your own conduct#and Some Streamers consistently choose to make things worse#and they're either too incompetent to realize it or they know damn well they're doing it and just don't care (but will never admit it)#critical#cc critical#negative#discourse#and its wild because they do That as professionals but they're all lovely people off camera so its like.#youre clearly not a total piece of shit or everyone in the servers youre in would hate your guts#in their personal lives and to their Friends theyre lovely but as adult professionals with large audiences jesus christ#and because people in the audience know theyre cool theyre more likely to vouch for and defend their Not Good behavior and its uuuuugh

Studio TV Solutions presents Half Life VR but the AI are Self-Aware (2020) [not a real movie]. A movie with a totally improv’d script starring a moltey crew who are sure to give you a rip-roarin’ good time!
anyway hi new au just dropped. i’m calling it HLVRAIM. it’s HLVRAI but it’s a blockbuster movie and the science team are played by actors. i have many thought on backstories n stuff that i will stick under a “read more” here otherwise this post will be hella long on people’s dashes. 👇👍 pls care about this i thought so hard and much
Half Life VR but the AI are Self-Aware was put out by Studio TV Solutions in 2020 and destroyed the box office with how fun it was and how well the cast played off one another. The cast was given a general outline for the script with the goal for it to be mostly improv.
Gordon Freeman: Mannie Flores (Dominican American, age 28, he/him)
- Popular Youtuber/Twitch streamer (“Radi0Mann”). Got offered the role in HLVRAI thanks to the creative things he’s done in his Youtube/Twitch career. This is his first “official” acting gig. He was pretty starstruck at first, but then as he got to know everyone, he realized they’re all a bunch of dorks (affectionate).
- Started off as a gaming channel, but then started branching off into various creative endeavors as he got more popular. He still plays games too though.
- One of the things Mannie did in his internet career that hit the mainstream was when he wrote, directed, starred in, and filmed his own movie in just 2 weeks because he failed a bet with his audience. Except the movie was actually really good and funny and heartfelt (i want to say it was about “a man who got left behind on earth after everyone else was raptured because god literally forgot about him”, but i think the concept might’ve been done already).
- Met Benji through HLVRAI. They hit it off and now they’re dating. They tried to keep it secret for a while but Mannie had a slip-up during a stream that sort of blew it out of the water.
Benrey: Benji Song (Japanese/Chinese, age 30, he/they)
- Started off as a film sound designer in the industry, then through a series of silly willy little events—possibly even shenanigans—got roped into a role in a passion indie film that became wildly acclaimed and flung him into the spotlight. Been an actor ever since, but isn’t the most proactive in taking jobs much to their agent’s annoyance. People never know where he’ll pop up next. Sometimes Benji will sneak in sound designer work behind their agent’s back.
- Honestly likes background work more because everyone’s got these expectations of them as an actor that they feel pressured to meet. But he’s also afraid of disappointing people. He’s working on it.
- Met their partner Mannie through HLVRAI. Totally was a fan of his streams/videos beforehand though. When they mention that, Mannie gets flustered.
- Does music as a hobby. Electronic stuff mostly—enjoys mashing together all sorts of sounds and trying to make them work. After HLVRAI, Mannie’s streams gets cool new music that’s made by somebody going by “johnwicklover1994.” wink
Harold Coomer: Hau’oli “Hau” Kaleo-Kirchhoff (Hawaiian/Samoan, age 66, he/him)
- Old musician who’s supposed to be retired but once in a while will release a song or even do a concert (but nothing crazy).
- Hau’oli is pronounced [hh-ow-oh-lee], but he also goes by “Hau” for the haoles’ sake. :) Kaleo is [kah-leh-oh]. also Hau’oli sounds a little bit like the name Holly so that’s a fun coincidence i didn’t realize until later.
- Most of his music is chill island tunes but he has been known to dabble in rock and jazz.
- Married to Mose (been together for 30 years and counting).
Bubby: Mose Kaleo-Kirchhoff (German, age 69 [nice], xe/him)
- Veteran actor—been in the acting industry for a long time. One of his more well-known roles was in a popular sci-fi series.
- Married to Hau’oli (they got married the moment it was legal).
- i went with a name that started with “M” cuz when Gordon first asks Bubby for his name, xe’s like, “mmm Bubby.” and i headcanon it’s because Mose was about to say xir own name and had to swerve last minute and the thing his brain resorted to was Bubby lol.
Tommy Coolatta: Luis Tanglao (Filipino, age 37, he/they)
- Child star who dropped out of the industry when he hit his teens and then came back years later as a comedian. He has material about how fucked up being a child star was. Will only take acting roles if it interests them.
- They don’t care about how the public/media sees him. He’ll speak his mind and call out BS when he sees it. Interviewing them can be a war zone.
- Hosts a popular podcast with some buds they discuss things like video games, their lives, news, etc. Just shooting the shit.
- Sunkist is their actual dog and she modeled for the png photo that was used. Her name is actually Biko. She is a very good girl. <3
Darnold Pepper: Sage Haven (African American, age 40, he/her/they)
- Famous cooking show host who gets offered roles in movies. Got popular by how unconventional her meals and cooking methods are and how funny he is.
- Has had multiple food/cooking/baking shows over the years. Every competition-based one they’ve had focused more on good vibes, fun, and encouraging one another rather than drama. One show involved people competing to see who could make the best full course meal with the catch being they could only cook everything in a microwave. Many microwaves perished.
- Changed their name to Sage Haven during their transition. They chose it because it reflects his passion and also is a play on the phrase “safe haven”, which is what she wants to be to others.
- He has an adoptive daughter named Kit. She helped them think up bits and jokes. She also had to help explain what Half-Life was.
haven’t gotten to gman and forzen’s actors yet unfortunately. thinking gman’s actor could be a talk show host? because that would be funny. anyway thanks for humoring me on my shenanigans. bye

With its elements of pop, gospel, blues, and jazz with a strong backbeat, you found yourself as one of the top performers in the genre. Your name was associated with the top streamers of Spotify and Apple Music. You even had trending songs on TikTok, people would dance or lip-sync too.
As a child, you never imagined the pitchy singing of your idols would bring you here among the hottest stars.
Despite the success, your record label was craving something different from you—eager to break into the “next phase of your career”, or so they say. They insisted you branch out into new genres and collaborate with some trending artists to give you a push towards winning a Grammy.
You were naturally hesitant, wanting to stay true to your craft and tune but their silvery words and promises of popularity caused your position to falter. Still, you wouldn’t just be collaborating with anyone your managers would send your way, you’d make sure of that.
The first one your label brought to your attention was Childe, a popular alternative singer from Russia. He was making waves in the Western market. His music was…alright and his personality was okay. Something about him irked you though, so you ended up passing on that opportunity to your label's dismay.
The second person they introduced you to was a pop singer by the name of Focalars. Furina was her real name though and she was as eccentric as ever. She was a bit vain and her slight condescension tried your patience a little too much, so you ended up passing on that opportunity as well.
Finally to your shock, a punk rocker reached out about a collaboration. No one would imagine R&B and Punk Rock could mess well, yet his label insisted otherwise. You recognized the name before, Wriothesley. He had been away from the spotlight for a while, only having small shows in London after an incident.
You heard he had punched out some hotshot producer for creeping on his subordinates at a party one night. Wriothesley ended up getting blacklisted for a while as a result. You weren’t sure why he was blacklisted, the creep Wriothesley punched out had it coming, but you knew the music industry was the music industry. Perhaps people were fearful that other cockroaches like that producer would get squashed by Wriothelesy as well.
Nevertheless, his label team things with your image and reputation could help mitigate his own in the community.
When you first met Wriothelsey was interesting as well. Your labels had just finished the contracts, agreeing to a collaboration between your team and his. He would be singing a cover of one of your popular songs; ”everyone loves a rock cover”, your manager said.

There was a soft pause between you two as you two looked at the towering buildings below you. The smell of rain on asphalt was prevalent. It must’ve been raining earlier when you were in your meeting, finalizing the collaboration.
“I’m curious, why did you specifically ask to collaborate with me? Your managers at the meeting informed me that it wasn’t just their idea but yours,” you asked. Wriothesley simply shrugged before lifting his arms nonchalantly as he placed his hands on his jet-black hair with gray streaks.
”I like your music, what can I say,” Wriothesley replied. You quirk your eyebrow in confusion. Why on earth would someone like him enjoy music from you? Wriothesley must’ve sensed your confusion before a lazy smirk made its way onto his pale face.

”Besides, I see all the time people taking different genres and finding a way to mesh them together,” he added. Wriothesley moved so his back rested on the balcony as he crossed his arms and a more genuine smile fell.
“It would be an honor to do that with someone’s music I admire,” he finished.

would i be able to ask for a simplified explanation of the manatreed thing? even when i was actively in the dsmp fandom i struggled to follow that and i still don’t understand exactly what happened. it’s ok if not, take care of yourself
OKAY so it's been a hot minute but I'm sure someone else in the community can add or correct any mistakes I make.
Dream runs a contest about buying merch or something where the winner is supposed to get a feature in a Manhunt video. Around this time, a "faceless" twitter account named Manatreed appears that all of the Dteam and Karl and a few others follow. it's a guy wearing vaguely Dream shit or Dream merch or something. The guy keeps being all "hee hee I'm not Dream" and he and Dream have some weird exchanges hinting a connection.
Some time passes, Dream announces he wants to give more opportunities to small/unknown streamers and that the merch contest was the first step of that. He announces one of the first people he wants to spotlight is... you guessed it...Manatreed.
Now, something isn't sitting right here. Dream is INSISTING that he met this guy through his efforts to look for small cc's. Some unsavory parts of the community doxx the guy. The community is torn because that's horrible and reprehensible.
And then it comes to light that the guy lives on property owned by Dream and had a criminal record for assault and domestic violence. People are still torn because of where that information came from, but as more information is leaked, the more clear it is that it's true.
Manatreed does one HUGE stream on the dsmp and a massive thread is made detailing all of the unsavory things about the guy and his connections to Dream. Dream immediately releases comments saying people that believe that shit are gullible. More days pass and the thread keeps spreading out. Dream announces that Manatreed has decided he hates content creation because of the stress of being doxxed and having his business aired. He maintains, again, that he didn't know the guy until he started that Manhunt Merch contest and that the guy has been removed from the server. Manatreeds socials all go silent.
The video today drops and Dream admits what we all knew -- he knew the guy, they WERE friends and it was all a plot to get his childhood friend into streaming. He says he didn't know about the abuse shit until the stream but like.Your childhood friend gets a felony and lives with you and you don't know it? Okay.
