Lego Shazam Magic and Monsters is AMAZING! It's like a fanfic brought to film form! It's perfect!

For starters you have the classic trope of Billy revealing himself as a kid to BATMAN and worrying that Batman wouldn't understand then Batman going all "Hey kid. I'm an orphan too. I get it. Also I have had the Robin's so no one is too young to be a hero." 💗💗💗

It has of all the major Captain Marvel villains, Dr. Sivana, Mr. Mind + the monster society of evil, and Black Adam. The movie makes so many references to the comics!

The JL gets turned into kids and it's a major plot point. The humor is silly. Billy and the Wizard have a great child-parent relationship in the film as they should.

Mr. Mind's 52 final end stage form makes an appearance in the film! And oh boy. The JL gets Shazamed! Just. Please go watch it if you are a fan of Shazam. It does not disappoint. It so good!

Also go watch just to hear Lego Superman say a lot of country stuff. He's so good in this film too

Billy batson gets his first pay from the league and does what all people who find they are kinda related to wonder Woman would do

Buy legos and make a wonder woman statue for her, it's a bit wonky and he genuinely considers if he should give it to her

So he goes up to her one day and is like "oh hey you know how we are kinda cousins, I made this for you, sorry it's not that good"

And Diana? She fucking loves it

She shows it off to everyone, smug to the skies because see, I told you captain Marvel sees her as family

And flash and hal see the chance for competition, so they try to lowkey imply they would like one as well but Billy is all like "oh yeah, my mother used to do it as well, it used to be like a family tradition"

Which okay, super sweet first of all and second, so they gotta get him to see them as family to get one

Challenge accepted

I'm so glad you're enjoying this! Also Billy and Captian are the same person but he and the smoke version of himself aren't exactly the same if that makes sense? The way I see it, the smoke version is like. A reflection of his Actual feelings, not what he's Projecting. Like, if Captian is feeling scared on the inside but is still smiling and looking brave, then the smoke Billy will be curled up under his cape and shaking. When he started shaking during the conversation, it's because Billy was internally scared that Batman might be able to figure out what's really going on and who he is, but The Captian couldn't show that fear to Batman so it came out as agression, trying to force Batman to back off while his True feelings saw the light of day through the form hidden under his cape.

Also I think in order to both throw them off and make them stop thinking Smoke Billy is his child, he could say that it was his best friend before he became Captian Marvel. Plus then if Billy ever slips up and mentions something that his best friend Freddy did when telling a story he can simply say Freddy is one of the names the Child Patron uses.

I get what you mean tho, that's a really cool way of displaying them tho. Now I can imagine Billy internally saying f you to one of the patrons while he forgets about cloud Billy and because he thought it now cloud Billy is just standing there flipping him off

In addition to the last part, you said one of the names. Does this mean he would say the same thing if he ever ended up bringing up Pedro or Darla. Still would be confusing if that ever bit him in the butt if the rest of the family got introduced in their Shazam forms

Hello ! Curious question : which 1-2 good movies from DC are you referring to ? I have time to kill and it's been a while since I watched a DC movie

I think I said 1 - 2 good shows and movies bc I was thinking about things they are currently making (and actually releasing) so I was mainly referring to like doom patrol and the harley quinn show bc as I've mentioned before I'm not a fan of any of dc most recent movies and a lot of their shows just well I don't personally vibe with them let's say

Popcross studios has a design challenge that sparked my braincells together, and so I present!

A fusion of Lego Flash, Young Justice Shazam, and Iron Spider (lego/a really cool picture I found.)

I didn't plan SHIT but they accidentally tied together really well! Lego Barry Allen and Shazam in general specifically have SO much in common it's kinda hilarious. I don't know a ton about Iron Spider I just like the design <3

Power-wise, this guy is DEFINITELY a speedster. But also I like to think he's got that Shazam-resilience, with maybe some lightning. Due to the obvious associations of the characters lol

The kid in the drawing is his secret identity! Like Billy, this kid got magic powers that give him an alternate adult form (whom I referenced the general age-appearance off of Lego Shazam and how he looks a little older than the rest of the justice league.) But his powers activate through the pin he's got! He also just collects Pins I think. That's his hobby.

His cape can act like extra limbs for grabbing, holding, or maneuvering around. Same with his sash's dangly parts- which I specifically was thinking of voyager sashes while drawing? Which. Travel associations make sense with this guy ha ha. So it makes sense.

He also likes science and tinkering with tech I think. Which is good because he's probably not great at magic other than the obvious.

But I had a ton of fun drawing this guy!!
