As an avid watcher of K-dramas, Hana knows all the tropes to avoid when she finally lands a starring role in a buzzy new drama. And she can totally handle her fake co-star boyfriend who might be falling in love with her. After all, she promised the producers a contract romance, and that’s all they’re going to get from her.
But when showrunners bring on a new girl to challenge Hana’s role as main love interest—and worse, it’s someone Hana knows all too well—can Hana fight for her position on the show while falling for her on-screen rival in real life?

It's a wonder they got away with the human zoo episode of SU at all. It should've received enough backlash to be canceled the moment they conceived of it.
Honestly that stuff being aired doesn't surprise me
TV shows will push a lot of violence towards poc, regardless of the age range for the targeted audience
LGBT+ content though? Can't show two women kissing or anything, that's too much for the kiddos
And I guess that's part of the reason people don't want to hear any criticism of these shows, because they brought LGBT rep to kids' shows. Thing is, that doesnt excuse the racism

i think the biggest win for me personally was when Miles said Ganke’s name and confirmed that his dad likes him and was only just trying to have an arguing point. like the movie could have ended right there or i could have died and i would have been perfectly fine. because he said his name. He confirmed his dad was fine with him. Now all i need is Ganke to say Miles. And for him to say his mom or dad (idk which one he lives with) thinks he’s okay. It’s important to my survival for reasons I can’t explain. they make me so #society

I've somewhat made a horror movie blog (not on tumblr) so now I need to figure out what to post there. There's several topics I'd be interested in exploring, but idk how to make them sound interesting or good

ALL THE LIQUORS (2023, KOREA)
Can a man with a low tolerance for alcohol fall for a man that adores the sauce?
Han Ji Yu (KIM JOON HYUNG) is in marketing for a liquor company. And he enjoys all the liquors (pun intended) but when the company he works for wants to partner with a chef to promote a new product they choose handsome chef Park Ki Hoon (WON DO HYUN) who does not like alcohol and doesn't serve it in his eatery or allow it to be brought on.
So his answer is an unequivocal NO. However Han Ji Yu isn't the type to take no for an answer.
Han Ji Yu also was dumped by his boyfriend. And it looks like romance may be in store with the handsome chef.

I hate when characters that are only headcanoned as a certain identity lose to confirmed ones in polls about who's the best character of that identity.
Like I know it's hard to find much rep, but c'mon man. Dig if you have to to get all 16. But showcase actual representation instead of what fans come up with.

Nooo the trans allegory is also a Big one for me in that song, but I know not everybody is about Trans Aoki so I figured it went well with his disabilities regardless. And like yeah blah blah basic whatever, idc y'know, I'm here to enjoy life so imma listen to music people don't like 😂🤣
But you're so real for the trans Aoki thoughts okay.... I love both cis and trans interpretations of the Boy bc he's fits very well in both categories. It's all just spice y'know!! You sprinkle some of this... Some of that... And tomorrow you make a new dish! Love moving head canons around for funsies
Anyway ty for validating my music choices 🫡 good luck charging your phone
i dont really hc charas any particular sexuality or gender since i always feel weird about it its called being BORING its what I AM but its the way i was playin y7 and just kept jokin bout it every time the game gave me a chance until the very last scene then i was just like.. hm... feels less like a joke to me now... its just what my eyes perceive at this point.. sorry...
but i got you covered with music choices man !!!! i like most music even if it can be considered 'overplayed' or 'generic' like idk man... if it makea me feel ima listen to it..

Book thoughts: The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea
4.5 ✰
Great world building, good characters, and awesome rep. Won't even pretend that I didn't have a Korean bias but I think this was a really good book. The twist was pretty predictable, but the romance was solid and I was definitely feeling the Spirited Away vibes. This is what I wanted Daughter of the Moon Goddess to be, and this book not only did it better but did it as a standalone

Hhhh- more research right now.
I’m a massive foodie and want to try so much cuisine out there (even stuff like durian fruit). So it’s fun researching foods from different cultures. Did some Filipino dishes for the Begotten!Twins...
Now thinking about what kind of Indonesian lunch food I can see Virgil packing with him to this Awkward Peace Talk With Roman (orchestrated by Patton).
Not sure about what’s in the “lunch“ category, just yet (lotsa cultures don’t traditionally categorize meals by lunch/etc. - see Korean food). But my mouth watered over balado terong. I friggin’ love eggplant dishes so gd much, and absurd Scoville scalability? Yes. I want my mouth to be on fire, rn.
(Though I think the downside for him eating that one much around the crew - is just being mindful of Janus’s shellfish allergy. But at this point, he hasn’t met them.)
Maybe with a side of tahu gejrot... or some gorengan. (Look. Deep-fried damn near anything is good shit.)
Indomie (which can be as easy to make as instant ramen) sounds like a potential low-energy meal he could scrounge up for himself, too. :Ic
(Aaand now I want iZ!Logan to be seen eating Korean food at some point. Hhhh- I want kimchi so bad now, too.)
