Since I opened the DAM:

Gaz & Soap hcs:

Soap canonically had issues with authority, he kicked a cop’s ass. I think the SAS decided to discipline him, but a higher up interceded for him, and he ended up being paired with Gaz as a way to “straighten” him out.

Soap at first thinks he is a stuck up, but it’s going to crank his charms up, so he can keep him on his good side and all that.

This doesn’t fool Gaz, so he puts special effort in Soap, let me tell you if Soap could survive Ghost begin dismissive towards him, it’s because he already survived Gaz.

After a while they do warm up to each other, in which case Soap tells him why he punched that cop.

Thing is: Gaz helped Soap’s career. Since then both have each other’s back, blow up things, trade chemical formulas for explosives, tips, etc.

They fight over the 1 braincell it’s left with when you put them together.
