this isn’t your usual jam.
really, it’s not.
the bass floods your senses and it feels like your brain is going to melt out of your ears, but himiko has her fingers wrapped tightly around your wrist as you both slither through the throngs of sweaty arms, gyrating hips, and the stench of beer and liquor. you wouldn’t have come if himiko held a gun to your head.
but it’s her last birthday in town before she moved for college, and the first time the two of you would be apart since you had met. going from childhood neighbours to sharing an apartment together, there was nothing himiko was apart of or knew that you didn’t. so here you are, squeezed into a dress she’d flung at you, dragging you to see her friends. “they’re right around here,” she yells over the music, the loud chattering. “oh— look! look, over there!”
you’d met himiko’s friends before. you aren’t sure where she met them; a white haired boy with ink spiralling down to his fingertips, a chubby cheeked girl swaying gently to the music with another green haired boy, and a blonde talking loudly over the table to the only person whose name you knew.
“and so she said, jin, you need to see a therapist,” and his head throws back, howling with laughter. “like baby, i’ve been through more shrinks than i have— himiko!”
himiko waves enthusiastically, tugging you further into the booth. she takes one side, next to jin, and you slide in from the other, warm fabric squelching uncomfortably against the bare skin of your thighs. you have to hold in a wince as you settle into the worn leather, flashing a quick smile to tomura, who blushes a pale scarlet. “hey,” you whisper, and his lips press tights into a small smile, his skin glowing under the neon lights.
the chorus of welcomes and hellos flood your surroundings, almost cacophonous around you. you smile warmly to them, watching as every piles gifts in front of himiko with soft wishes of happy birthday! she grins madly, kissing all of them on the cheek, and then sliding into the chubby-cheeked girl’s lap and pressing a long, deep kiss on her lips.
ochako. you should have guessed, from the amount of times himiko’s rattled off about her. small girl, a little on the chubby side, with hair that bounced as she walked. she’s every bit as beautiful as himiko made her out to be. the chatter continues, submerging you but not quite reaching you, but you don’t mind it.
“hey,” you hear next to you, and you turn to face tomura. he’s two drinks in with a pretty flush on his cheeks, his white hair unruly about his face. you reach out, tuck a strand behind his ear, and he stutters. “d-didn’t think i’d see you here.”
“didn’t think i’d come, to be honest.” you smile gently, your hand settling back on your lap. “but, it is her last birthday at home.”
tomura nods slowly. it’s hard to hear each other over the thumping bass, the loud conversations over sloshed drinks on the table, but you manage. “how about you?” he asks. “are you going out of the city?”
“i haven’t decided,” you balance your elbows on the sticky tabletop, hanging your head in your hands. “there’s a lot— to consider.”
he hums, just loud enough for you to hear. you and tomura had met years ago, when he had come over to himiko’s to grab something he needed to borrow. except himiko wasn’t home, and had forgotten to let you know, which led to an hour long search through the apartment for a textbook you didn’t even know the colour of. you had ended up on the floor of your living room, mocking lines from the english language textbook that he was meant to pick up. he had always been so lovely, so shy, abashedly private. you couldn’t even more than his name out of him for months until he slid down the wall of your bedroom, half drunk after an evening of shots with himiko, and told you (speech half slurred and eyes droopy) that he thought you were the prettiest of himiko’s friends, and i would really love to kiss you one day.
of course, he didn’t remember that. but you did. always regarded tomura with a soft gaze and a gentle hand on the small of his back. he’d always look back at you with a shy smile, but think nothing more of it. tomura was always soft; soft touches, soft skin, soft smiles. tomura is a game, circling around the same bush, waiting to strike.
like a couple of weeks ago during the monthly smoke session, when you opted to stay sober because of your test the next day. tomura had his head laid on your lap, and you absentmindedly played with the white, wispy strands of his hair, listening halfheartedly to the conversation. his hand came up to cradle your cheek with a tenderness you could only ever attribute to him. crimson eyes red-rimmed and sleepy, trained only on you.
like right now, with your fingers on his knee and his shoulder pressed up against yours. there isn’t any need for that, you know; there’s plenty of space between him and the tattooed guy, but you don’t mind it. don’t mind the soft heat that emanates from him like a flickering ember, just small enough that you’d have to cover it with your hands to protect it. protect him.
tomura’s a… fragile person. you’re convinced you’ve never seen him speak up more than four times in a conversation, and when you’d prompt him to, he’d shake his head and lean against you. sometimes you wonder if it would be better off if the two of you stayed back, went to a quieter, more peaceful place. your hands splay out along his thigh, your thumb caressing his jean clad skin. “everything okay?”
“yeah. all good.” he sighs.
you smile, picking up the beer that’s set in front of you, and try your hardest not to wince as you sip at it. tomura shifts, a shaky breath exhaled from his lips as you drum your fingers against his thigh. conversations shift to the two of you, ochako making a comment that tomura’s much closer to you than he is to touya. and you just laugh, and tell them, “whatever makes the princess comfortable, i’m fine with.”
and that gets a small rise out of the table. tomura blushes, pink creeping up his cheeks, and he lets out a small squeak in protest. “d-don’t call me that.”
“what? princess?” your hand tightens around the small of his thigh, and something in you clicks. no one is watching anymore, the conversation swerving to something about deku’s work week, or some shit like that.  “what else should i call you then?”
and he just glares at you, and you begin to think maybe he really is a princess. your fingers start to drift further and further up his thigh, a small smile playing on your lips. you lean into his ear, and whisper, “tell me when to stop, princess.”
he burns. tomura burns and he melts, a small sigh dripping from his parted lips. “s—” he starts, but can’t finish. vermillion flashes at you, and suddenly he’s up, your hand carelessly thrown from its position right up close to his crotch. “bathroom,” he mumbles, and you’re not sure if he’s excusing himself from the group, or if he’s commanding you to follow.
the table conversation tapers off as they watch tomura stomp away, in the direction of the bathroom, his silky translucent shirt glowing as he walks under the strobe lights. you hide your smile, touya leaning into your side. “is he okay?”
and you think of the perfect excuse to leave.
“i’m not sure,” you feign the worry on your face, creasing your brow. “i should go check on him, shouldn’t i?”
touya nods, a slight stitch of genuine concern on his face. you get up, sliding out of the booth with a barely coherent, i’m gonna check on tomu. before walking in the direction of the washrooms.
the dance floor is a completely different environment; stuffy, humid, up to your ears in moving bodies and pop music. it’s sweaty, damp, and the arms that touch you make you recoil, but you push through them to get to the bathrooms. you can barely make out tomura’s hair as he pushes the door open to the unisex bathroom, a callous glance thrown over his shoulder.
his gaze meets yours, and you know you read it right.
your mind’s blank, all but empty save for the thickening haze of curiosity, of desire. you weave yourself through the throngs of people who separate you from serenity, and finally make it out on the other side.
knock, knock. “tomura.”
the door opens swiftly, and slender fingers grab you and pull you inside. you chuckle, the front of your dress threatening to let your skin spill out, tomura’s fingers still twisted in the shimmery fabric.
“what’s gotten into— mmph!”
tomura’s lips are swollen, bitten red no doubt by his nervous habit. they’re a little chapped, but still soft against your own, trading sweet spit as he rucks a hand in the fabric of your dress. your eyes flutter shut, and you lick into his mouth. there’s a fire that burns in his throat, one that licks at you every time you get near. he’s melting into you, pushing you so harshly against the door it thumps closed behind you, and in your closed-eye blunder, you reach for the lock and twist it shut.
“you fucking— tease,” he spits at you, and you thank god for the heels himiko shoved you in, because the view of tomura looking up at you, vermillion alight with thundering need, it makes you throb. he looks so small, so fragile, you just want to pick him up, press him against the wall, but you settle for snaking your hand around his side, planting your open palm against the small of his back. “that was humiliating.”
“i think you quite liked it,” you murmur against his neck, tucking the strands of his hair away. “didn’t you, baby?”
the way he reacts makes your heart gleeful. the small hitch in his strong chest, his lips parting, tongue forming words but no sound leaving them. he just whimpers, and you tilt his chin up to put him out of his misery. you kiss him slowly this time, savouring the squeak of surprise that rips through his throat. “tell me you like it.”
tomura looks at you, pupils blown, tip of his nose flushed pink. not even a stitch of hesitance on his tongue before he licks his lips. “i like it.”
that’s all the assurance you need. your lips are on his again, pushing him this time further into the washroom stall. you’re thankful that there’s enough space for you to push him up against the sink, your hands shielding his bony hips from bumping against the worn ceramic edges. the curves, dips and juts of his body fit under the heavy, firm grip of your palms, and you wonder why you’ve never had the opportunity to hold him like this.
he whines when his back hits the sink, and you pull away for just a second. “gonna be good for me now?” you whisper against the shell of his ear, licking the warm, flushed skin. you can feel his stuttered breath on your shoulder, a small whimper dripping from his lips. that makes you stop for a second, looking at him quizzically. “what was that, baby? make that sound again.”
“shut u— uhh,” he swats at your chest, but his protests die in his throat, faltering when you nudge his chin upwards to bare his neck to you, your lips wrapping and sucking the pale skin of his throat. tomura whimpers as you leave mark after mark down the hollow of his throat, trailing from his bobbing adam’s apple to the open of his billowy shirt. you fist the translucent chiffon in your hands, the urge to rip and to devour a growing pain in your chest.
your breath is warm against his skin. “so pretty,” you murmur. “fuck, you’re really so pretty, tomu.” the floor is grimy and you don’t want to know who’s been here, in this exact position as you right now, but you send all thoughts out of your head as you drop to your knees, fingers fumbling with the button of his trousers. he helps you, nimble fingers joining yours in the crusade to shuck these emerald silk trousers down his legs.
the button finally pops off, and you hurry to unzip his pants, pulling them down his legs. “holy— fuck, tomura,” you almost whimper, faced with the pretty image of a pair of white panties on his delicate hip bones, the cutest little pink bow sitting atop the elastic band. you can’t help yourself; you press a kiss to his navel, right above the band, nibbling at his skin softly. pink and purple and blue bloom under your touch, and tomura’s hands find solace in your hair.
“don’t tease,” he spits at you, and when you look up, you smile. a little brat, he’s always been. has such a hard time submitting, but something in you makes you want to break him, take him apart, piece by piece and put him back together again.. “you wanna suck my cock, right? go ahead.”
your fingers dig into his hips, hooking the elastic band of his panties, slowly tugging the fabric down. he’s watching you intently, like he’s waiting for something. he shifts his hips to ease you pulling his panties over the swell of his ass, and finally, finally.
“fuck,” you murmur, looking at the pretty mess of white hair, and tomura’s sweet, wet pussy. he smells of sweat, perfume, and tomura, and you press you nose against the juncture where his thigh meets his hip. “fuck, yes.” your lips suck a spit right there and he moans, his hand in your hair tightening just a little, just to the point where it makes you wince. but he guides your mouth to his mons, a withered look on his face, and you think maybe, maybe it’ll be okay to give in.
“tomura,” you begin, your fingers splayed out on his thighs. you hum, a thought busy in your head, and stand up. your hands move to shift him onto the washroom counter, his ass sitting pretty on the cold linoleum. you can hear the songs, the chattering people, the angry mutters of those who have been waiting in line, but you can’t find it in yourself to care. not with the prettiest boy in front of you, his cunt glossy and begging for you. “is that better, princess?”
“fucking eat me out already,” his words spell out a curse, grating and abrasive, but his pitch inflects up into a whine. a real princess. “suck my cock.” two fingers frame his swollen, needy clit, parting his messy, wet labia for you to look. he’s dripping, slick pooling at his hole, and you feel kind enough to let your fingers reach out, scoop a little onto the pads of your fingers, and rub it slowly onto his cock.
tomura writhes, head knocking back against the dirty mirror. “you’re so fucking needy,” you spit, rubbing a little faster, tight little circles into his engorged clit. “‘s so wet.” he’s breaking, you know he is, with the way moans are escaping out his mouth. “fuck, shut up. you want everyone to hear you, is that it?”
“please,” he whimpers, thighs quivering, trying to knock together. your free hand shoves his legs apart, with a low, keep them there for me. “please, more.”
“gotta tell me what you want, baby.” these pet names are slipping off your tongue without care or concern. it feels so natural, like he was meant to be called your baby. “can’t give it to you tell i know what you want.”
tomura lets out a small squeak when you press his clit a little harder, a noise that gurgles at the back of his throat. his hands tighten on your shoulders, hips gyrating to meet your fingers. “suck it,” he begs. “p-please, fuck, wanna feel your mouth.”
“where?” you inch closer to his pussy. the smell of it, the way it glistens under the dim fluorescent lights, it makes you crazy. insane for him. you lick a stripe up from his hole to his cock, keeping your eyes on him the whole time. “here?”
your hands grip his thighs, fingertips digging into his soft flesh as you circle his cock with your tongue, a trembling sigh leaving your lips as your eyes flutter close. of course he tastes fucking perfect. of course his whimpers and his whines sound like heaven. you decide you want him in your bed tonight, every night, making these sounds under you.
“right there,” he shakes, breathy moans reaching your ears. you’re blocking out everything else; in this moment it’s just you and tomura in a dirty club bathroom, his cock in your mouth and his hands in your hair. “right— fuck! there!”
you hum, and allow your lips to wrap completely around his cock, sucking on it, flicking your tongue along the swollen nub. your hands on his thighs are the only thing keep you grounded right now, mind hazy and stupid with pleasure. you can feel yourself getting wet in your own panties, but your priority now is him. only him, forever him.
fingers trace along his thighs, aiding you in your need to make him cum. “i’m gonna put my fingers in, okay?” you murmur loud enough for him to hear you, and he pants, nodding vigorously. you smile. “such a simple slut. only good for cumming.”
“shut up,” he forces your head back between his thighs, teeth gnashing and tongue curling against his folds. “and make me cum.”
you scoff, but comply. your fingers find his hole, dripping in slick and begging to be fucked, and slip easily into his tight heat. he stutters out a gasp, moaning wantonly and you’re sure the poor patrons outside can hear everything going on in this ridiculously thin-walled bathroom.
curling up against his gspot, you watch for signs of pleasure on his face, taking note when his brows lace together in a desperate exclamation, his lips parting with surrender on his tongue. he’s begging endlessly, little, please please please’s and ‘m gonna, gonna cum! slurrying with his spit. you could kiss him right now, you want to kiss him right now, and lick up the drool that’s pooling in the corner of his mouth.
but first, you need him to cum. you need to see tomura fall apart, chest heaving with soft sobs, wrecked and blushing. you pump your fingers faster, your tongue on his cock. cum, baby. cum.
and it’s almost like he can hear you, almost like you willed it into reality. tomura’s hands scramble for your hand on his thigh, a plea for mercy in the form of intimacy. you hum against his cock, lacing your fingers with him, and blink up at him as if to say,
let go for me, baby.
when tomura cums, he cums hard. he cums with the pulsing clench of his cunt on your fingers, a gush in your mouth, and a breathless moan you swear you’re gonna spend all night pushing out of him again. you fuck him through his orgasm and decide he’s the most beautiful person you’d ever seen in your life.
your fingers smooth over his knuckles mercifully, murmuring praise as he cums down. “you did so good, princess,” you kiss his thighs, pepper his bruises with affection. “did so well for me. you there? you here with me?”
his head thumps against the hollow mirror, and his eyes flutter closed. “c-can you,” he starts. “kiss me?”
you stand, wobbly in your knees but you lean over him. you’re so hyper aware of how drenched you are in his cum, his slick, painting your mouth, chin, nose, neck— but you can’t find it in yourself to care. his lips meet yours in the middle, so desperate to taste himself on your lips that you giggle against him. tomura moans at the taste, licking into your mouth, pushing further into you. it’s like he’s melting, melding all at once; like he wants to be a part of you.
there’s the sound of angry muttering getting louder outside the door, the telltale sign that you’ve overstayed your welcome. “we have to go,” you whisper against his lips, helping him off the counter and pulling his panties and trousers back up. there’s a silence as both your fingers work to make him presentable again. “come home with me.”
tomura’s eyes shimmer, and you can’t tell if it’s tears or the fluorescents. either way, the vermillion bores into your chest and makes a home for itself in the crevices of your heart, and you find yourself wanting to touch him, kiss him, love him for the rest of eternity.
“okay.”
you almost forget about himiko’s birthday on your way out.

Why BakuDeku will be canon and not IzuOcha? Connection between TogaChako and the entire Love Square...
So this is pure hypothesis and I should clarify that I'm not a shipper when it comes to MHA. I just love the story, its premise and the various themes that it involves and I love to see what happens next. I don't particularly support any ships and so with all that being said, let's jump into it!
Tumblr media
So, Ochako said that "You should never hide your true feelings or that face of yours".
Horikoshi is very very clever with the panelling.
While most people were debating on whether or not it was an IzuOcha ship bait, I think it signifies something completely different.
Notice how Ochako was thinking about Deku as she said those lines but even in Ochako's imagination, Deku wasn't looking at her.
HE WAS LOOKING AT BAKUGO.
Tumblr media
I mean, look at it.
He was a bit embarrassed and looking at someone else. It is most probably a memory from when they were training before the second war (when Bakugo was showing his new move Cluster to Deku)
But why would Ochako think about Deku looking at someone else during such an important time?
It parallels how Toga thinks about Twice in a completely platonic sense. He was more of a brother to her (Toga and Twice->brother sister bond)
Plus it also signifies Ochako's journey of self acceptance. Think about it!
When we met Ochako in the beginning, she had an inferiority complex about her hero motivation and background.
Tumblr media
She met Deku, who played her knight in shining armor, who had this cool quirk and everybody loved him.
He was a Hero, and always in the spotlight. Even All Might was interested in him (according to Ochako because she never knew about OFA)
So she admired him and wanted to be like him as in wanted to be a great hero like him but it backfired because Ochako is Ochako and Deku is Deku.
Throughout the series, we see these feelings grow.
But with admiration, what Ochako always felt was jealousy....envy.
The theme of envy has been very prominent in the series. Bakugo is the biggest example of it.
I admit that Ochako might have had a tiny bit of crush on Deku because who wouldn't?
He is a cute, clumsy boy, well natured, a crybaby at times but a real hero at heart. Who wouldn't fall for that?
Plus it's not wrong to have feelings.
But in Ochako's case, she always felt that Deku is so far away.
Tumblr media
It is such a literal representation!
Deku was moving forward while Ochako felt like she was lacking, like she is behind him, literally and figuratively.
We saw how she was struggling to deal with whatever she was feeling.
At first it looks like she is struggling to deal with her feelings for him, but at this particular moment her feeling could only be described as envy.
Admiration could easily be confused for love but!
You're never jealous of the person you love!!
Because till season 3 Ochako was feeling both admiration for his best friend (which everyone else confused for love) and jealousy.
It was especially awkward because they were friends and their other friends kept on pointing in that direction.
But the real change came in the war arc when Ochako got Deku's letter and realised that maybe Deku is not that special after all.
Tumblr media
They are good friends, and she was worried about him because she realised that behind the Hero persona that Deku has, he is also human.
Being a fellow hero, it was more relatable to her.
"Special powers are one thing but there is no such thing as a special person" she said in her speech.
Humanizing all heroes and villains.
I also wanna talk about this specific panel after Bakugo's apology.
Tumblr media
Something about Ochako's expression here really struck a crod.
As Deku falls in Bakugo's arms, the camera pans on Ochako who just stands there observing, what true love is.
She didn't feel anything, because she realised the bond between BakuDeku is a bond of love.
Which is why she never made an effort to follow Deku's footsteps again.
The famous cliff scene: the day before the second war! Both of them knew they could die the very next day and yet they chose to say nothing... Nothing as in love confession, because there was nothing to confess.
Ochako realised that Deku loves and admires Bakugo and she's ok with that, so she'll focus on more important matters, like the Toga situation.
Tumblr media
Because she realised, she can be her own Hero.
And now she wanted to help Toga. A girl like her, that was crying.
Because she has seen so many happy faces, she cannot help but wonder what made Toga cry.
Plus Toga said that only heroes and the people they protect are counted as people and the rest don't even matter.
Tumblr media
As a person, Toga should be free to love whoever she wants but because of her quirk she is constantly judged by people except LoV.
Toga was mad because nobody accepted her throughout her entire life, her parents, her friends, Heroes and the one place where she found home was also snatched away from her.
Everyone is free to love and admire heroes then why not Toga. Everywhere she went, she was rejected.
Even Deku's quirk pointed out that there was no real malice behind TOGA's actions. Her love is so strong that it puts people in danger.
Heck, Danger sense didn't activate in the beginning because Toga didn't wanna hurt Deku.
But it was after she was rejected so badly, that she turned against them.
It was not about a girl asking a boy out but a villain asking a hero out.
And Deku not only rejected her completely but also judged her.
So if the world rejects her, she is bound to do the same!
Which made Ochako the perfect person to face Toga. Both are girls full of love but hide deep inferiority complexes.
Ochako understood this and told Toga her smile is beautiful.
Tumblr media
Why? Because Ochako realised it the hard way, what happens when you suppress your feelings which is why she admired Toga and told her that Toga is right and she should never hide her feelings or her face because she is beautiful.
She admired Toga for her genuine honesty and told her that it is nothing to be ashamed of.
Toga went on a rampage because Deku hurt her (he was the final nail in the coffin) but just because Deku rejected her doesn't mean the end of the world.
Toga is free to live her own life, just because Deku rejected her doesn't mean her life is finished and if she really wants to have a girl chat, Ochako will always be there!
She'll give her blood to Toga for the rest of her life..!!
It's just Ochako's way of telling Toga that just because a boy rejected her doesn't mean her life has ended. That Toga is beautiful and has a lovely smile. And if toga wants to talk about it, Ochako will be more than willing to listen and support her for the rest of her life.
And such is the beautiful dynamic of TogaChako.
Tumblr media
Cheers! Sunshine!

So what direction do you think this togachako fight is going?
Ohhh I love where it seems to be going right now. This might be the most interested I've been in Toga's and Ochako's story ever.
First of all, we've finally got a clear picture of Toga as someone in need of saving. Her anxiety is so relatable it hurts. There are all sorts of things she could be thinking about, like how maybe she's not adequate to her friends because she can't be as helpful as Jin, or maybe her "love" isn't enough to save her friends, all that self-defeating jazz.
Which leads into what seems to be the crux of the matter: Toga's "love." I've noted in passing before that having her use the word "suki" to describe this love is very curious. It's just an adjective that means something is the object of your affection. It's not a specific word for love like the nouns "ai (love, but broadly)" or "koi (romantic love)" are. "Suki" is just as often translated as "like" as it is "love." So what does it mean that Toga can only use the quirks of those she feels "suki" for? Was it perhaps on purpose that Horikoshi used such a vague word for this feeling?
It seems like Toga has a problem identifying her feelings. By her own account, she "loves" Tomura and Dabi just as much, but she can't use their quirks for some reason. That means her "love" for them is different from her "love" for Ochako and Jin. And perhaps Ochako's character can provide the answer here.
Because Ochako has trouble putting words to her feelings for Izuku all the time. Other characters like Mina tell her it's love, but she doesn't seem comfortable accepting that. She also isn't comfortable with the feeling itself, so she pushes it out of the way when she doesn't want to deal with it.
As of now, I think the feeling--for both of them--is admiration.
For Ochako, it comes down to the events of the sports festival. She talks about how embarrassed she is for just following in Izuku's shadow and comments on how amazing Izuku is, how this tournament has really highlighted that for her. And she becomes inspired to grow on her own and meet him as a rival. In her match against Katsuki, her thoughts are focused on being like Izuku. "If Deku were here..." "Deku wouldn't give up..." "I'll win and be just like Deku!" Katsuki even mistook her battle strategy for one Izuku could have come up with. She wants to be like Izuku.
Sound familiar?
Toga wants to be like those she loves. Perhaps this isn't true with Tomura and Dabi. She doesn't want to destroy everything like Tomura; she wants to live with the ones she loves. She doesn't want to have vengeance against her family like Dabi; she wants the world to be easier for her to live in. She doesn't want what they have.
But she wants what Ochako and Izuku have: friends. She wants what Jin has: love. Jin loved his friends and devoted his life to helping them. She wants to be like that. We even see it with her first crush in middle school, a guy who looks like Izuku and is highlighted in her memory as fighting someone. Perhaps he was standing up for her, or standing up for anyone, and that's why she admired him. She wants to be a hero? She wants to be free to be herself...and maybe she wants that for the ones she loves too.
It's a sort of envy. Both of them have it. They want to be like the ones they admire. They're not comfortable with who they are. It's only when Ochako embraces the pieces of herself that she likes, the love of seeing others' happy faces, that she can push through her discomfort, cope with her jealousy, and accept herself for who she already is. Ochako learns more about Izuku than just the heroic image she starts out admiring; she professes atop the UA roof to everyone how Izuku isn't a special person, he was just given a special power. He's just like everyone else. He needs love and support as much as any other person. That's what prompts her to remember Toga's tears, and now we know that in that moment she wanted Toga to be smiling along with them too. It's when Ochako lets go of her envy and her idealized image of the heroic Izuku she blindly admired, when she accepts him as a person not above her but equal to her, that Ochako accepts herself and realizes she wants to save Toga. She's going to have to help Toga come to realize this about her own feelings--she has to help Toga learn to love herself for who she is.
And does any of that sound familiar? Blind admiration of a hero? Izuku's admiration of All Might perhaps? Izuku's blind admiration of Katsuki that contributed to the rift between them? How when Izuku accepted All Might and Katsuki for their flaws and saw them as people he managed to form better relationships with them? 👀

I think that I would finally find true peace in this fandom if more people realized that Ochako wasn’t in love with Izuku, but she was jealous of him.
Her arc was never about coming to terms with any romantic feelings she had for him or finally embracing them. It’s about how Ochako wasn’t confident in herself and her own heroism. It’s her journey of becoming the hero she wants to be (“Someone who tries their best even while covered in wounds.”) which is what Izuku represented.
She didn’t like those feelings of jealousy and she decided to repress them.
In the final act, Ochako begins to confront that aspect of herself and her attention begins to shift away from Izuku and onto Himiko… with the togachako chapters being an culmination of her experiences throughout the series allowing her to finally become the hero she has always wanted to be. (Without Izuku being involved.)
And she is able to succeed in making someone (Himiko) happy while she does it, and getting to see their smiling face.
Which was her true reason for wanting to become a hero in the first place!

THERES A DETAIL RIGHT THERE, I SEE A FLASHBACK
Tumblr media
I mean theres a lot of flashbacks in this chapter tbf, but this one didn’t fit given the situation… UNLESS WE DIG DEEPER.
Well okay, you could read it as ochako making dekus heart lighter by changing the meaning of his nickname and the speech back at UA, and she’s finally done the same for toga.
BUT IF THAT WERE THE CASE WE WOULD BE FLASHING BACK TO THAT SPEECH!
This is deku talking about saving shigaraki, and as proven with ochako… there is a way to avoid a battle. On top of that, even before that memory, Himiko is talking to Ochako about how she was afraid to confront the feelings she had for her parents, because they made her FEEL BAD!
More and more the idea of confronting your feelings directly as they are is brought up again and again. Shoto says it during his fight with touya, about how he wished they could’ve yelled at each other sooner, because sometimes confrontation is needed.
Ochako and toga talk about the importance of having simple conversations about your feelings, no matter how big or small they seem to others. Because the feelings they have can make or break lives in this world.
And in both of these instances, Shoto and Ochako avoided an actual battle. Both of them simply neutralized them. Because they knew about the one they were trying to save, and genuinely cared about them.
Deku doesn’t know the first thing about shigaraki. He doesn’t accept shigaraki as he is now, rather the child that was created from him, that still exists. Saving someone with the justification of what they used to be doesn’t really seem like you care about them at all.
I’m not sure what this battle will bring. They’re both stubborn people who are the same. You could say that with Touya and Shoto, or even Himiko and Ochako, but lets be honest no one is as stubborn as deku. No one is as stubborn as shigaraki.
So what if shigaraki and dekus fight is about confrontation and feelings?
Oh good god I can’t wait for all the people who have been so mad about this fight and how it’s just been about feelings, and then we turn to the shigaraki vs deku fight and it’s also about feelings.
WE’RE GETTING OFF TRACK!
Toga is a lot like deku. And from her saying this, I just want deku to come to this realization. That it’s okay to talk about bad things, that it’s okay to have bad thoughts, and even bad emotions.
Just like Toga he can’t just slap a smile on his face all the time and pretend that his traumas didn’t happen. He can’t ignore what he’s bitter of, what he envies, and he also can’t ignore what he deeply, truly, loves.
God I got nothing else to say. The chapters speak for themselves. They’re gay, everyone’s gay, mha has always been pretty fucking gay.
ALSO DEKU SHOULD STOP BEING A LITTLE PUNK
(Also I’m expecting togachako/bkdk fic about how similar toga and deku are BY MONDAY 8AM SHARP) /j

me when there's an update about my girls and i need to yell about it with someone
[Image ID: two stills. The first is of an elderly woman approaching a crowd and calling out "where are my lesbians? where are my lesbians?" Except 'lesbians' has been crossed out and replaced with 'togachakos.' In the second, two lesbians labeled as togachako shippers come running towards the elderly woman, who cheers "oh, there they are!" End ID]

"Come on, Uraraka! Please open your eyes! Don’t leave me like this! Please! Please don’t die on me!”
I made an IzuOcha version of a TogaChako angst post I made not too long ago.
(Context: Following Ochako’s quirk awakening during the Final War arc, she goes into cardiac arrest, the quirk awakening putting too much strain on her body. A frantic Izuku immediately perfoms CPR on her, wanting to save not only the life of the first friend he made in UA, but potentially the girl he grew to fell in love with.)

So I’m sure everyone is loving 394, and I’m fairly positive on it too. Not as good as the last chapter, there's not nearly as much League content this time for one thing; but it's fine, we got a cute Togachako hug to compensate. Heck, the new romantic lines may even make up the difference in full. But I have a few more issues with this one to be honest, and I gotta get them off my chest. So once again, I think I'm gonna be a bit negative about a villain-conclusion chapter people seem to really like. Sorry. Again.
First off the discussion about love itself…kinda ended up pretty basic. At least as the leaks describe. They both just exposited stuff that for the most part we, and to an extent even they, already knew to each other. I guess I expected more reveals or perspective shifts after all this build up, and maybe that’s my fault, but it still felt like a let down that this was what the discussion about love Ochako’s been wanting & hyping up for like 20 chapters amounted too.
(I especially would've liked it if the effects of the discussion were a bit more mutual. Like we know Toga comes out of this with a changed view of herself but Ochako leaves basically the same. We couldn't get Toga to improve Oacko's view of herself too, or maybe talk about her feelings for Deku to her? C'mon, give the girl something out of this.)
But also, as basically just a follow up for 393, it also suffers from my one big gripe/concern from last chapter. Will Ochako do anything to address Toga's fear for her life? And the answer seems to be no, the discussion of love & Toga's smile kinda overtook that so we (& Toga herself) have no solid reason to think Toga won't be punished for her crimes as normal. (Best we've got is the general thought of "oh Ochako would never do that...to Toga; she's an exception," and I am left asking "how much of an exception, how far will she go on this after saving the day?") And I remind everyone that the normal punishment for her crimes is, y'know, still expected to be execution or life in whatever replaces Tartarus.
Tumblr media
Without addressing that, without making the case that the justice system won't kill her, well the implications of Toga giving up can get a bit more disturbing, I feel.
...Hey as an aside, how come the villain that was fighting to die just got subdued by encasing him in ice without reasoning with him but the villain who was fighting to live got convinced to stop fighting and accept her fate? Should I be concerned about that?
Anyway my big point is: even though Uraraka says she'll take a different place in Toga's heart from the League, she's actually offering a pretty similar experience. Toga's had a small handful of people accept her before, one more doesn't make a massive difference even if it is a cute girl who hugs her in mid-air, calls her cute too, and is willing to give her blood. But what about the greater population that still rejects her? What's the plan there Uravity? Is there a plan? If not, well I hope you see why I'm still concerned for Toga; and am honestly questioning if I'd even call her saved yet. So I really, really hope this isn't it for the Toga plot line.

MHA IS / NOT / ENDING IN 2024
Ok so, MHA is definitely having at least more 50 chapters at the very minimum.
MHA is weekly, and 2024 will have only 52 weeks, so that plus breaks, if it has 50 chapters, knowing Hori takes at least a break a month, it'd need around 65 or 70 weeks to be completed.
So it can't end in 2024, maybe MHA will end around February or March 2025... Perhaps even June!
But why I think so?
The final war arc started on chapter 343, so the current arc has 66 chapters.
This final arc is the longest arc in the series, as Hori's arcs got progressively longer each new arc, the longest arcs being 24, 41 and 54, from the first big arc, it basically doubled in size, it can double again.
But i think of the traitor arc as part of the final war, starting with the Sns chapter, which is chapter 329
So to me the final arc has 80 chapters so far to put it simple.
Also Hori wouldn't just cut the end dry, I can easily see a last, short, epilogue arc showing what happened after and all the changes in society and everything.
MHA won't end in more 15 chapters, we still haven't seen: Aizawa/Mic/Kurogiri, Sero's role, the tie up to Toga and Ochako, Hawks being the light of hope, Spinner's demise, seeing what talk Compress had with the heroes, Hisashi finally appearing(hori did promise it!), Hori did mention Class 2-A briefly showing up, tie the quirk singularity theory plot, AFO finally inserting his quirk factor on Tomura, AND finally, Tomura vs Izuku.
Tomura vs Izuku is probably not being quick, giving they are the main characters, and the grand finale, the greatest mess and also what needs more focus, In these 60+ chapters of this arc so far, izuku barely showed up, you can't have a 80 chapters only arc and your MAIN CHARACTER show up just 5 or so!!!
Considering Hori made almost 50 chapters of ONLY people fighting AFO and other stuff, I'm confident we will have at MINIMUM some 15 chapters of ONLY Shigaraki vs Izuku, he is saving these two for last, so I'm confident it won't be that fast AT ALL!
Honestly, I won't be surprised if MHA have more 70 chapters left, I can easily see this arc being over 150 chapters, like, come on, Hori didn't take his sweet sweet time only to half ass rush the most important part! Hori won't rush now that he toke so much care to build up the climax
Honestly i personally think MHA might even reach 460/480 chapters total, I wont be surprised if we reach 500 chapters either! (Each volume have 12 chapters, so MHA ending with a total of 47 or 48 volumes. )
Like- there is way TOO MUCH to be seen! The final arc is only on the half way but already been 80 chapters so far! And we haven't even got to the main fight!!!
Anyways, mark my words
MHA is ending in middle 2025.
Update/Edit: Just realized MHA will have only 33 chapters released this year and only 2 volumes
First chapter of 2023 was 377- the chain thus far
33 chapters of only fighting AFO, togachako and tododabi
Even If MHA have only more 15 chaps it'll still take half a whole year 😭 MHA IS SO NOT ENDING TILL 2025

At least Shouto got his moment without It revolving around Deku. You’re upset that shouto isn’t part of the endgame but at least he was able to have his own endgame that’s not about Deku or revolves around Deku. I would love for Bakugou to have his own solo moments even if he’s not in the endgame. Because bakugou never got that.
Sure, Shouto's moment didn't revolve around Deku, it revolved around his family though. So it's not strictly a Shouto-moment - the entire Todoroki family (plus Iida) gets part of the credit (when it comes to stopping Touya). And then of course there is the undeniable fact how much Shouto's and Touya's conflict is ultimately about Endeavor.
I am upset about Shouto's endgame (if it ends like this), because other than a family hero, Shouto wanted to be freed from Endeavor's legacy. Yet, he spends the entire final arc fighting a battle / putting out the fire that Endeavor created. Even the civilians he saves are in danger because Touya copied his move and escaped Kamino to see Endeavor.
Shouto gets nothing for himself - not even a kind word or acknowledgement of any kind from the family he is supposedly the hero of. He's not recognized by anyone in the public either, except the kids who call him "5-Wienes". It feels like still nobody of the public knows who "Shouto" is - half his hero arc feels simply abandoned
He trained and was abused all his life to get strong, he took much more physical beating and hurt from Enji, Rei and Touya than anyone else, and yet his only role is to use that strength and training to save the people who hurt him.
Enji comparatively took much less beating from Touya and got a cool fight vs AFO. When everyone and their grandmother goes up against AFO, Shouto is locked in a side-plot and even there, he just gets this as ending:
Tumblr media
Is this really what he deserves as "story-climax"? Because it sure looks like being treated as less than a footnote.
He doesn't even get the feel-good, crying-kids imagery TogaChako got or an entire chapter post-fight showing his villain think about him. In fact, Touya doesn't even react to Shouto or acknowledge anything Shouto has done or the lengths he has gone to save him. Nor does anyone from the family.
In this entire story, we never got an Origin-Trio combo. Shouto never got a combo with his family either (which Bakugou got with Endeavor btw). Shouto never got a hug from his family (which Bakugou got from Endeavor btw).
Bakugou gets a really cool combo with the MC / childhood friend, he gets to save his childhood hero in front of the world, he gets to right all his own wrongs, he gets public accolades, he gets held up as the Symbol of the new era and All Might's heir on equal footing with Deku in the narrative. He gets 2 amazing quirk awakenings to raise him up.
In contrast, Shouto gets to clean up after his abuser and doesn't get to do the stuff he wants for himself (to join his friends and be recognized to be a hero like All Might). Even after everything that's happened, there is nothing that shows that he's known as anything other that "Endeavor's son, Dabi's brother". He gets no quirk upgrade. Even his "I'm not a masterpiece" statement gets ignored by everyone. And he doesn't even get some family-level acknowledgement, other than a throw-away "sorry" from Endeavor.
And unlike with Bakugou where we had guarantee that he'll be back, with Shouto, we have no clue if we'll see more of him or if he'll be just left with this half-win/half-failure kind of ending as the world celebrates the wonder duo's win.
I love both characters, but man, the way Horikoshi treats Shouto and Bakugou are like night and day. (He didn't even give Shouto a full-page panel for his rising chapter, not to mention a double spread... Bakugou got a full Rising volume dedicated to him. Shouto is the first Rising character not to get a volume).

I used to ship Carly/Freddy but as I got older I began to like Sam/Freddy.
Same thing with BakuDeku. At first I was like "it's okay, not my favorite. But there are worst ones out there," to the last few chapters coming, being like "that's really kinda gay,"
Same thing with Toga x Uraraka lmao used to be like "it's okay, not my favorite" to "I understand the hype now and I'm apart of it"
So long story short, I kinda ship BakuDeku and Toga x Uraraka now
Growing up and watching iCarly, I didn't care for either ship that was going on. Sometimes, I didn't even realize a love triangle going on.
It's like... for some shows I watched I would have been like "aaaw, that's cute" and then other times I just did not pay attention to the romance bit.
Speaking of BakuDeku and TogaChako, I'm gonna be honest...
I don't see how you can hate BakuDeku and like TogaChako or vice versa. And apparently, there are folks like that. They're like genderbend versions of each other.
Not entirely because there are some differences, granted but... come on now.

Hc for Himiko and Momo as sisters? (similar to Dabi/Momo and Dabi/Himiko as siblings because Momo joined tlov!) BNHA is starved for more well-developed female relationships that aren't antagonistic! 🥰
OOOOOOH TYSM FOR THIS BECAUSE I ACTUALLY DID FINALLY COME UP WITH A FEW!!!
Momo is pastel punk and kidcore,Himiko is scene punk with goth elements
Momo was put off by Himiko when they first met, this being before her radicalization as Dabi took her to the Lov base for vigilante mission reasons and Himiko was so energetic for a potential girl friend she spooked her
Thankfully this gets resolved quickly as she voices this and Himiko feels bad, explaining why and Momo forgives her and offers her a cupcake she made that she gladly devours
Himiko trains Momo is more lethal attacks like Dabi does
And Momo teaches her normal teenage things like Mina and Jirou did her as a beautiful cycle
They're Persephone(Momo)and Aphrodite(Himiko)coded
Himiko is blasian too but not latina, rather half african-american so her and Momo teach eachother about their cultures and bond over the similarities
Watch cartoons together, share clothes and make food for eachother
Togachako and Todomomo are canon to this verse so they're eachothers wingwomen.Momo helps Himiko be healthier with her live for Ochako and Himiko gives Momo crazy ass advice on how to woo Shouto that actually works because Shouto's a freak too(/complimentary,/autistic and /transgender)
Please imagine Himiko with Harley Quinn hair(as in cotton candy colors dyed)and Momo with Atsv!Gwen Stacy hait(as in side shave with pink dye but long instead of short)
Himiko claims she 'adopted' Momo as her sister and well, she ain't wrong!!
Bully Dabi together as is their younger sisters duty
They're like two Mabel Pines but one of them(Momo)has Dipper anxiety
Slasher and Final Girl friendship-coded
Himiko gets Momo to love soul food,Momo gets Himiko to love mexican and dominican food
Tons of pictures together
Trauma bonding over shit parents and Himiko actually plans an assasination on Momo's before she convinces her not to
Their title is 'Red Velvet Sisters'

My convoluted feelings about Toga... what now?
Tumblr media
So after reading a bunch of metas all over the internet, my feelings about Toga's survival are more convoluted than ever. The fandom is basically divided into two parts:
Yes, Toga died for good. She lived, loved and died on her own terms yada yada (whatever I have been saying in my previous posts)
V/S
The hopeful part of fandom, that thinks after this type of dramatic closure Toga will somehow be revived because it goes against the themes of our story etc etc
...
Honestly, I can see why a bunch of people are saying this and then I found another Dabi Toga parallel which convinced me even more that maybe,...maybe there is an actual chance of Toga's survival!
Now hear me out!
There are literally a bunch of people who think All Might should have died in the Kamino arc, because his story arc concluded there but he survived. He survived and learned to live a life without his power, as a normal person and learn that even as a person be can make great changes.
MHA is not about people dying. Nothing good comes out of it. Twice's death proved that. Hawks murdered Twice but that came flying back at him when Toga unleashed the SMP again.
Plus, we had the Todoroki family arc concluding just before the TogaChako arc and Dabi also had the same realisation...that why not sooner?
Tumblr media
But he survived.
Despite all the injuries he survived. Because Endeavour and Touya dying together could also have been a great conclusion to their character arcs but was it fair? Think about the Todoroki family who would have been left behind. Think about the backlash that Shouto, Rei, Fuyumi and Natsuo would have faced.
Touya dying meant they failed.
And then there is TOGA.
She literally had the most chances of survival in this battle! She is also the youngest of the group. Her dying would be a true tragedy because if a little girl like her couldn't be saved then who would?
It's similar to how they saved Eri from Overhaul. Remember how even her quirk was considered a curse?
Tumblr media
Only for the story to remind us that her quirk is not in fact a curse but a blessing, by which Deku was able to defeat Overhaul.
Children are literally earthen pots, and they grow into whatever shape you provide them with. Toga's family was horrible just like Touya. Even though Touya burned her house, that contained all those horrible memories, that place still remained in her heart.
Toga finally found someone who was willing to accept her wholeheartedly. Ochako finally managed to save Toga only for her to die such a tragic death. Ochako tried so hard to save Toga, only for Toga to sacrifice her entire life for Ochako.
Tumblr media
Think about the backlash it would have on Ochako. At first I thought it would inspire her to become a better hero and save more lives but she was already feeling horrible about making Toga cry. Now she would feel like she took Toga's life. She took Toga's happy future, even if it was Toga who willingly volunteered.
She would live with the survivors' guilt her entire life!
Tumblr media
This doesn't feel right because this arc is also about making a little girl smile, and then do everything to make sure that she keeps that smile.
Tumblr media
...
So what do you guys think?

everyone in the togachako tags you are all feeding me and I am nodding my head along because oh my god these two are rotating in my head nonstop, there is just something so visceral, so heartwrenchingly familiar in the way Ochako is desperately reaching out to Toga who thought she had to turn her back on the rest of the world because they rejected her first
AND YET!! and yet the one girl who Toga both idolized and envied is finally reaching back out to her, she is going to bridge that gap and make that connection that Toga has wanted for so, so long and I know its fuckin wishful thinking but the way the entire thing is framed, its about feelings and love/romance, Ochako wants to embrace and understand Toga's 'love', the same way that young women who don't know they're gay yet but can't put a name to the way they're feeling might react when confronted by another girl who *is* more openly gay.
The initial confusion that Toga incited in Ochako, followed by the fact that despite the confusion and fear and maybe even mild disgust, is replaced by fascination. "I can't get you out of my head/I haven't been able to stop thinking about you since we met"
All of it leading up to the fact that Ochako realized during their last confrontation, when she saw Toga's tears, her pain, she realized this was not just another villain... Toga is just another girl, like her, and Ochako not once tried to understand her before this, she was confronted by something she didn't understand and she fled from it, and now she is ready to face it, ready to open herself up to Toga and the love Toga has
She is beaten to hell, stabbed and bleeding, and she is never going to let Toga go again, she will not run from Toga OR her feelings, she will face Toga not as a hero, but as HERSELF, just another girl, she will be selfish in this moment if it means she can right the wrong she did and she is willing to devote the rest of her LIFE!!! TO TOGA!! if the whole world will be against her, Ochako will be right there with her, telling her that her smile is still beautiful even without knowing just how deeply those words must hit Himiko
I can keep rambling forever and ever, especially about just the INCREDIBLE fucking expressions Hori draws and how much you can just FEEL looking at them, saying even more than just their words but this post has already gotten away from me and basically fellow togachako's i see u, im one of u, come say hi the brainrot is unending and I'm glad we're all waking up to this fucking feast of content to fuel us
