Albedo is the roleplaying game of furries in a crunchy '80s military sci-fi future setting, based on Steve Gallacci's story "Erma Felna: EDF" from his comic Albedo Anthropomorphics (Thoughts & Images, 1988). Gallacci was a technical illustrator for the US Air Force, so you get both "funny animal" comic art and detailed equipment diagrams:

Notes: Hi, everyone~. I'm so so happy to be posting something! And yes, this isn't something xreader, but I still wanted to share this random little thing that came to mind now that my English teacher left and I have more free time. If you don't like this please don't write anything negative... I just wanted to share something I imagined. Also, these are my favorite characters so I hope you respect that.

Kaeya

Oh? You're asking about her? Talk about names I haven't heard in a while! I can tell you she's always doing something. Whether she's working at the library with Lisa or working as a waitress at Angel's Share with Master Diluc, she's always helping others. One thing is for sure, she goes out on adventures to other regions a lot. She's a carefree person.

Lisa

Gene, you say? Right now she's in Fontaine visiting some friends. Want to know about her? Well, she's a total bookworm and loves a good adventure. Just wait 'til she's back from Fontaine. She'll adore you.

Razor

Genesis very kind. Always comes to help with teacher. Helps me hunt sometimes.

Bennett

Gene is like my big sister! When Barbara is too busy to help me, she's the one who heals my injuries! You two are the only ones in my team, hehe... She's still very nice to me and scolds me when I blame my bad luck when something happens. I hope she comes back from Fontaine soon and tells me all her stories.

Diluc

For the last time, she's- oh, Traveler. Forgive my abruptness, but a lot of the clients here ask for her since she left. She offered to work as a waitress as soon as she turned eighteen. "Maybe having a young waitress will bring more clients", she said, and she was right. She's very helpful here... And she's a good friend.

Mona

Hm, yes. She has the Aureum Retriever constellation, meaning "Golden Retriever". This goes well with her personality, so I find it accurate. She is reliable and friendly, but sometimes... She doesn't notice when people take advantage of her.

Venti

The multi-tasking lady. Yes, that's how I address her. She has so many jobs I'm surprised she's still in her senses. Last time I saw her, she was leaving to Fontaine. Ah, what a joyful spirit she has. Hope she gives me a discount at Angel's Share again.

Klee

Big sister Gene! Is she back from her trip? She always brings Klee amazing gifts! Oh, she's not back yet? It's ok, I can wait for her! I hope she also brings something for big brother Albedo. Hm? Why, you ask? Because they're dating!

Albedo

Ah, did Klee tell you that? No, no, no,no. We are not a couple. Klee just likes to play "the dragon and the princess" and makes me the prince while Genesis is the princess I must safe... Hm? How am I able to spend time with her? Well, that's because she helps me with my experiments sometimes.

I’m a vocaloid producer and a regular one too), filmmaking, art(drawing, painting, pottery, digital art, etc), learning instruments, learning languages, tabletop RPGs, rhythm games, cosplaying, watching documentaries, going on walks, taking pictures of things that I think are pretty, collecting figurines/stuffed animals and puppetry, dancing, science/history, and cooking, art is definitely my top main hobby rn, im dedicating a lot of time to it

Im usually awkward at first when I meet someone new, unless if I feel really comfortable or if I’m in a safe situation, when I’m comfortable with a person you CANNOT shut me up, I’ll be rambling about my interests and shit, i have a hard time communicating and understanding social cues due to my autism, my emotions come off as sarcastic or silly, im someone very entertaining and calming to be around with, i have a hard time taking everything seriously, and I find humor in pretty much, i also feel the urge to correct any faulty information, i also talk very differently with my words since some people say I use “BIG” words, for the most part I’m pretty chill— but what some would consider “repressed anger issues” and I can be verbally aggressive when prevoked.

I’m like the dad friend and I have a bad habit of being a therapist for my friends, i like to keep stuff with me when I go out like chapstick and some water bottles for my friends and me as well, i really like to make things for people I’m close with and that includes drawing stuff for them as well, i have a realllllyyy overactive brain. i tend to get really deep and philosophical when I’m left on my own to long, so I try to keep myself and mind occupied with stuff to distract me, i dream to become a lead singer for a vkei band, also I know 6 languages which are Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Arabic, Polish and French

Completely obsessed with Eden. So much so that I started watching Overlord (wonderful decision, thank you for bringing it to my attention)

ITS AN ISEKAI THAT I LIKE SO YOU KNOW ITS GOOD.

There's a lot of things about Overlord I really enjoy, but remember it comes down to personal taste.

Like, I love stories that have a lot of lore and world-building to sink your teeth into.

I love when a story can take a step away from its main character and have others take the spotlight,

I really like subversion (the unique angle of an isekai premise that this anime takes is really interesting to me) and I like when a story focuses on characters, mindgames and strategy with a lot of moving parts but also doesn't make the plot feel like it's moving at a snail's pace. I prefer when a story does this rather than the power fantasy InfinityPlusOne power scaling that a lot of isekai fall into. And yet they also still show off good action sequences and the power disparity between characters! They manage to balance overpowered characters without having no threat, risk, or challenge to them exist and also maintaining intrigue!

It borrows a lot of its magic/race mechanics from D&D, other classic RPGs and MMOs but D&D is the most heavy influence you can see.

I personally believe it has an extra layer of enjoyment for anyone who's had online friends / had ocs with those online friends. (Any friends I have who've watched it have said to me "modsu i love and respect you but if this happened to me i'm sorry but i AM smashing [OC].") Just the way Momonga treasures the creations of his dear friends as an extension of them and their memory IMO it makes him much easier to connect with.

also the contrast between how he acts with others VS his inner thoughts is like. totally my kind of humor LMAO. hearing a grown man in the body of a skeleton go "uwaaah!" never gets old to me idk.

I love a lot of the characters but Shalltear and Albedo hold a special place for me. Thus a lot of inspiration for Eden coming from the latter.

(it probably helps that i also have just as much of a love for gap moe as maruyama does 💀)

Also, Studio Madhouse does a great job with the animation and art direction, and as someone who's usually very picky with dubs I have to admit the dub for this series is very very good! The themes for each season are always bangers too!

The original LN is a lot more detailed but also a lot darker, so viewer/reader discretion.
