An actor of stage, television as well as movies does not keep this man busy enough he is also in a boy band ARASHI (since 1999) and he serves them as concert production since 2000 as well as other singers but mainly his own group. Also a concert director.
He has done several commercials as well including KFC JAPAN, NINTENDO, KIKKOMAN & HATACHI to name a few.
I came to know of Jun Matsumoto as Domyouji Tsukuba in the Hana Yori Dango Series and Movie Finale. He also took on the role a 4th time in a new generation version of the story called Hana Nochi Hare.
This guy has talent like crazy and very handsome. He doesn't seem to be stopping. Which his fans love I'm sure. And ARASHI is definitely fun to watch. They look like they're having so much fun. Plus the members of the group have also acted with him in movies and series.

I’ve always thought it would be fun to be a seat-filler at award shows, and now I can’t stop thinking about sitting next to a flirty Pedro Pascal.. (especially since they say you aren’t supposed to talk to the actors!)
The idea of him introducing himself (as if he isn’t a famous actor), sharing candy he snuck in with you or trying to make you laugh while on air and having to shoo away the award show employees that try to intervene. Him just being smitten with reader the whole night.. okay, I’d *love* to hear your take if it interests you!

The Seat Filler
Pedro Pascal x Reader
A/N: here's another one, hope you all like it. No hateful comments please. Again I gotta shout out @ziggyrocket for the support ❤️. It's 6:32 in the morning, apparently I don't sleep like a normal person, I'm on my second cup of coffee, so any typos or whatever are my bad... and Maxwell house coffee's.
Warnings: none (well, corny jokes I guess)

You had signed up for this gig half on a dare and half out of curiosity. Being a new sign-up, you hadn’t expected to be called in right away, but yet, here you were, in a borrowed gown, in a theater mixed with some of the biggest stars and regular people just like you: seat fillers.
You remembered the main rules the director told you: 1) look like you’re enjoying yourself, always smile and 2) most importantly DO NOT talk to the actors, meaning the actual celebrities. You nodded and murmured your understanding along with everyone else who was there to work as fillers, not really thinking anything of it. What celebrity would want to talk to me anyway? You mused as you took your seat.
You looked around the theater, excitement flooding through you at the idea of being in such a place surrounded by people you had admired from afar, in magazines, and online. You took a deep breath to steady yourself; you didn’t want to make a fool of yourself. You glanced at the empty seat next to you on your left and wondered who’d be in it. On your right was another filler and on their right was another empty seat.
The filler next to you leaned over slightly and whispered, “Who do you think they’re gonna put next to us?”
You shrugged. “No idea, hope it’s someone good.”
He nodded in agreement, then a look came over his face as he glanced over your shoulder. You turned your head to look and you blinked hard as you recognized the man coming towards you, and taking the vacant seat next to you. While the man next to you was busy getting settled, you glanced back over at your fellow seat filler, whose jaw had semi-dropped. You both exchanged excited looks, then you nudged him lightly with your elbow and he shook himself, cleared his throat lightly and sat up. You both faced forward, determined to be on your best behavior.
Unfortunately for you, your newest seat mate had different ideas. Pedro knew the whole deal with seat fillers and how they were told not to speak to anyone. But he felt a mischievous streak go through him when he saw you glance at him briefly.
“Hi,” he said, taking his seat. “I’m Pedro Pascal.”
“Hi,” you said back, nervously glancing around to make sure that no one saw you speaking to him.
The two of you smiled at each other, before you turned back to face the front. He took a few seconds to study your profile as you sat there, determinedly facing the front, sitting as still as a statue.
He glanced down and saw that your elbow was resting on the shared arm rest. With a small smirk, he placed his on the arm rest too, bumping yours.
You looked over at him, smiled awkwardly and whispered a hurried, “Sorry,” before moving your arm and facing forward again.
After a few minutes, you placed your elbow back on the arm rest, and, noticing that, Pedro, bumped your elbow again with his. You moved your arm again. And then a few more minutes later, you placed it back again, only for him to bump you again. After the fourth time this happened, you looked over at him with a slightly raised eyebrow and he just smiled innocently at you.
A few minutes later you felt him shift next to you, you looked over and saw him pulling out a bag of Skittles. You tried to hide your smile, but he noticed and nudged you slightly and offered you some. You looked around, making sure that there was no one watching, and then you held open your palm and he shook some of the candies into it.
“Thanks,” you whispered and popped a few into your mouth.
A little over an hour into the show, you could feel him getting restless next to you. You figured the sugar had gotten to him. After the Skittles, he had pulled out a candy bar, broke it in half and shared it with you. He fidgeted in his seat, tapping his fingers on his knee and the seat. You tried to ignore it, but you had to admit it was more than a little distracting.
“Are you okay?” you whispered hurriedly to him.
He turned to you and nodded. “Yeah, I’m good.”
“Are you though?” you asked, gesturing to his jiggling knee.
He smiled. “Yeah.” But his knee kept jiggling, you had to suppress a laugh at that.
He noticed you struggling to keep a straight face, and decided to aim the restless energy he had at you. He was going to make you laugh, really laugh, by the end of the show. His mind was made up.
He thought for a moment and then he leaned over to you, “Psst, hey.”
“Yeah?” you answered looking straight ahead.
“I have a question.”
“Mmhmm?”
“Why did the bicycle fall over?”
You were confused. “I’m sorry?”
“I said: why did the bicycle fall over?”
“Uhh, I don’t know. Why?”
“Because it was two tired.”
You turned to look at him after that, he laughed at the look on your face.
“That was corny,” you said, shaking your head, but pursing your lips to keep from laughing.
“Oh, that reminds me of another one,” he said, with a twinkle in his eye. He looked around, cleared his throat, and then asked, “What does corn say when it gets a compliment?”
You shook your head and shrugged your shoulders, not wanting to say anything but wanting to hear the punchline, you turned to him.
Barely able to suppress his giggles, he answered,”Aw, shucks!”
You put your hand over your mouth, trying to stifle the laugh you felt escaping your lips.
“Okay, one more,” he announced.
“Oh, lord,” you groaned.
“It’s a good one, I promise.”
You waved your hand slightly for him to go ahead, knowing he would anyway.
“Okay, why are pirates called pirates?”
You bit your lip trying not to laugh. “I don’t know why?”
He leaned closer. “They just arrrr!” he whispered the last word in a bad pirate accent.
You couldn’t help it, you snorted, then quickly covered your mouth to stifle your giggles, but he’d heard it, and he smiled at that.
“Good one right?” he asked.
You shook your head. “No, oh my god, that was bad, but…” you couldn’t finish as a fresh wave of giggles overtook you. Your shoulders shook with your suppressed laughter.
He smiled and laughed along with you. For the rest of the ceremony, he would lean over and whisper comments about one person’s speech, or another’s outfit, nothing malicious or mean, just something to make you smile. And he always had a bad joke or two to whisper to you.
By the end of the program, your cheeks were hurting from all the smiling and your stomach was sore from the laughing. You couldn’t help it, a few had escaped, luckily it was during the jokes the emcee told, so it looked as if you were enjoying the show. Truth be told, you couldn’t remember what had happened during the show, or who had won which award. If someone had quizzed you on it after, you surely would have failed; but you felt it was worth it because being seated next to Pedro had made it the best night of your life. You hadn’t laughed that hard, or enjoyed yourself that much in a long time.
After the show was over, you headed out with your fellow seat filler.
“You seemed to really be enjoying yourself,” he said as you filed out into the lobby.
You nodded with a huge grin on your face. “Yeah, I did.”
“I could tell,” he said, nodding, “what was he saying to you to make you laugh so much?”
You shrugged. “Oh, just a few jokes, and comments that’s all,” you said lightly.
He looked at you curiously, but when he realized you weren’t going to elaborate he commented, “Lucky you. The one they put next to me was on her phone the entire time.” He shook his head. “At least you got some entertainment.”
You two chatted for a little more, making plans to grab a late dinner with him and some of the rest of the seat fillers. Before you could leave, however, you felt someone tap you on your shoulder.
“Okay, I have another one,” you heard Pedro’s voice in your ear before you could turn around. “Just thought of it.”
You looked at him. “All right, go on.”
“Which bear is the most condescending?”
You started laughing then answered, “what?”
“A pan-duh!”
You burst out laughing along with him. “Where on earth did you even hear these?”
He shrugged. “Internet.”
“They are so bad,” you said, still chuckling.
“And yet, you laughed. Therefore they did their job,” he pointed out.
“True enough,” you agreed, “thanks though.”
“For what?”
“Making this event… well, eventful. I was prepared to be bored out of my mind, sitting there like a statue, smiling a fake smile the entire night.”
He smiled at you. “Well, I’m glad I could help. So, what are you planning on doing after this?”
You shrugged. “I was gonna grab something to eat with some of the rest of the seat fillers…”
“Oh, okay, I'm doing the same.” He nodded and looked away. You noticed that for a second he looked slightly nervous, but before you could get a good look, his face cleared and he turned back to look at you.
“I guess I should let you go then…” you said, turning to catch up with your friends.
“Wait, one more question.”
You stopped and looked back at him. “What's up?”
“Well, you know, I have a lot more jokes…”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, and, well, all my friends and family have heard them. But you haven’t, at least I’m pretty sure you haven’t….”
You nodded. “I haven’t, I don’t think.”
“Good, well, I shall have to inflict them upon you, you know, if you don’t mind. Maybe over dinner tomorrow?”
You thought for a second. “I don’t mind at all,” you answered with a huge grin.

Any advice on drawing McCoy? I’m not used to drawing ancient wrinkley bastards (affectionate) and it’s surprisingly tough v-v
FOR SURE lmao i made. a diagram. just a warning that i am going to be irritating and long winded because u just hit a topic i really like sorry lmao
so first off i did some traces just to show whats there vs redraws to show my interpretation
ive said this on other asks but again jsyk, tracing isnt bad!! its a tool. theres some stuff with intellectual property and whatnot but using tracing to study shapes and forms is a really valuable practice.
also just taking some time to learn facial structures and anatomy is super useful, reading what bones and muscles are where and how they interact with one another. taking this info and staring in the mirror and moving your face around and thinking about it. just really furthers understanding of how the face works. trying to sound normal about this but i love anatomy and motion and physics and whatever
anyways im going to go through all the numbered points so there's no confusion.
1. forehead lines - self explanatory. more prominent when brows are raised
2. crows feet - at the outer corners of the eyes, more prominent when smiling or squinting
3. nasolabial folds - the folds that go from the corners of the nose to the corners of the mouth. more prominent when the mouth is wide, like smiling
4. brow furrow - self explanatory, most prominent when brows are furrowed. mccoy tends to have two right next to his eyebrows, kirk has one in the middle. everyones face works different lmao
5. chin crease - caused by how the chin and lower lip interact.
6. nasojugal groove - start from the inner corners of the eye and can extent over the cheeks. everyone has these and idk why people dont like them i think theyre really cool!!!! but Society. i guess. :/
7. eye bags - caused by the skin sagging beneath the eyes. mccoy isnt even that old in tos i think hes meant to be mid 40s by the end of the 5 year mission, hes just got really prominent eye bags lmao
8. idk what the name is for these, but when the mouth is wide and pushes the skin to the sides, these folds sometimes form outside of the nasolabial folds
9. philtrum - the groove above the upper lip. i dont usually draw this but mccoy's struck me as prominent enough that i usually draw it on him
10. masseter - the muscle that moves the jaw up and down. its a pretty rugged muscle and while i wouldnt say mccoy's is especially prominent, it kind of extends that nasojugal groove from certain angles/positions
11. orbicularis oris - mouth muscle, usually easier to see when lips are pursed or frowns are pulled. mccoy's is pretty prominent from 3/4ths or side, his mouth tends to protrude in profile
12. this isnt a muscle but more of a line defining the planes of the face, but since i drew it i felt i should explain lmao
a few points:
im an animator i tend to exaggerate and emphasize certain things so i usually make him more square.
i like to combine eyebags and crows feet for brevity/flow, same with nasojugal grooves, eyebags, and masseter lines. my approach is always subject to change based on pose, expression, reference image, etc.
i take out details that i deem redundant or cluttering and keep what details i need to make things feel Right
all this info is applicable to any character of any age, its just in how you apply it and facial proportions that willl change how old a character is perceived to be
there's a lot more with drawing a Character rather than an Actor, just because the features are there doesnt necessarily mean things will feel correct? its very much in the mannerisms and poses and expressions
i only went over my approach to his likeness but not really body type or posing or anything idk if u want that i could always try to answer that later haha

Nasolabial Fold...... i jsut do what feels right with the visual info i have. also i love specificity in faces.... i dont like to be a hater but when every character is drawn the same it pisses me off a little lmao. so
also dont take my word as The Only Way to do anything i just draw how i like to draw and no one should feel like these are things that Must be done to be a good artist or anything do whatever the hell u wanna do

Were there Russian Chaos Agents on tumblr in 2016?
First things first:
Things I got wrong in earlier posts on this:
@ms-disinformation didn't identify these accounts ahead of time, this blog started posting in 2019 and is focused on accounts that are likely to be bot-run
Relatedly, the accounts accused of being Russian state actors were accused of being trolls, not bots - they were almost undoubtedly human-run
Tumblr didn't announce the mass ban of these accounts until several months after they did it - they banned the accounts in fall of 2017 and announced them in March 2018.
What actually happened?
The Internet Research Agency is a Russian company accused of creating fake social media accounts to attempt to influence the 2016 presidential election in favor of Donald Trump. On March 23, 2018, tumblr posted a list of accounts they claimed were linked to the IRA that they had terminated the previous fall. On November 16, 2018, they posted a second list of accounts given to them by law enforcement of other IRA-related accounts (unrelated to any election interference) that were also terminated.
How did tumblr identify these accounts?
tumblr has been extremely vague about the methodology used to find these accounts, but we do have another source: the Buzzfeed News journalist who wrote about the termination of these accounts back on February 6, 2018 (over a month before tumblr's post) identified them by cross-referencing tumblr accounts with twitter's list of IRA-affiliated accounts, finding similar or identical usernames and profile pictures.
Unfortunately, this only kicks the can further down the road - how did twitter identify these accounts? These sites don't want to reveal their methods, but this study offers some insights into the behavior of these accounts and possible tools used to identify them.
Why should we believe tumblr's narrative?
There are a lot of reasons I'm convinced that tumblr is being honest with us about this, the simplest of which is that they don't have a good reason to lie about this. tumblr nukes accounts all the time without disclosing its reasons - if they wanted to get rid of an arbitrary list of accounts they dislike, they could do that and none of us would know. They deleted these accounts months before posting any explanation at all, and the only backlash they received was in articles like the Buzzfeed News article above slamming them for not talking about the Russian troll problem, instead of accusing them of terminating activists.
It's also not like this is some tactic that tumblr has employed frequently - the list of IRA-affiliated accounts has been untouched since 2018. This was a once-off, not part of any organized strategy to suppress certain types of posters.
Moreover, tumblr users with similar post content were left untouched, including many that reblogged heavily from the IRA accounts - the Buzzfeed News article identifies one such blog (alwaysbewoke) who posted more or less the same type of antiracist, pro-Sanders activism (albeit without the eventual support for Trump) who wasn't deactivated.
It's also worth noting that the IRA is a real company and not a US boogeyman (even if some subsection of liberals use the phrase "Russian bot" as such) - recently, the leader of the Wagner group came forward and confirmed that he founded it and still finances and runs it, and he's relatively direct about the fact that it was used to interfere in US elections:
“Gentlemen, we interfered, we interfere and we will interfere,” Prigozhin said in November, one day before the US midterm elections.
Finally, and most convincingly in my opinion, no one behind any of the over a hundred accounts on the tumblr IRA list or the thousands on the twitter one have come forward in the past six years to claim that they were wrongfully associated with the IRA and banned as a result.
Isn't that fascinating? Can you imagine what a story it would be, if social media sites were not only terminating activists but lying about why they were doing it? Do you think that not a single one of these hundreds of alleged activists thought of calling a sympathetic journalist, showing them their US driver's license, and asking them to a run a story? What about messaging their old mutuals, or making a new account, or finding a federated platform that won't delete them on sight? I can't find a shred of evidence that any of this ever happened, and that's pretty telling.
The funny part is, there's no real evidence that these accounts ever achieved anything, and indeed, reasons to doubt that they did. They operated in preexisting echo chambers and circulated mostly true stories with a specific slant to them, with the occasional dash of outright lies. Certainly, it's hard to argue that they were less reliable or more biased than your average Fox News article. But arguing that they weren't Russian propaganda seems pretty difficult.

So came I came across this repost from Al that a fan posted yesterday to which she reposted and to have her say and ad I much I can see she trying to defend ms with the radio getting his name wrong it a common thing for poor ms and I don't think this personally was the guys fault and I think they was reading from a script which I think most radio presenters have I think.
But the thing I noticed also was yes she was trying to defend her parter but also seems complaining that she and the children have to endure listening to the station in the car all the time and that like a another red flag like they literally have nothing in common and I'm still wondering why they still together. Cos I've noticed since michael been London he seems alot happier and heathly cos he closer to his best friend and beaming also. Can we have him stay permanently in London and not go bk to Wales in May.
What ur thoughts on this repost for Al I would to hear

I had this sent to me a little while ago and I'm...well, it takes a lot to floor me these days, especially in this fandom, but...I think this did it. Because there is so much going on here, and almost none of it is good.
On the surface, I know this very much looks like AL defending Michael, but I do not think that's what this was about at all. I think she saw BBC Radio 6 tagged in the original tweet and saw an opportunity to gain attention due to the proximity of a high-profile account. The way she did it, however, was by making something related to Michael about her. Again. And again, the wording of this retweet takes it from AL defending him to something else entirely.
Saying that she has to "endure" Michael listening to this radio show in the car is just a terrible look, as if listening to something he enjoys is so unbearably awful, and that she only puts up with because she's stuck in a car with him. It feels like she's literally complaining about Michael under the pretense of defending him, and I don't know how she (or anyone else) thinks this is okay.
The thing is, the whole "Martin Sheen" thing has become a running joke precisely because Michael has been dealing with this not just for his whole career, but his entire life. It's something he has frequently talked about, and I can imagine that it has been challenging on so many levels, but Michael also knows that Martin Sheen has been in the business for 60 years, and more than that, he is also a fan of Martin's. He's even talked about being introduced to him at a party years ago (I can't remember by whom, but Michael described the person as saying "Mr. President, meet Mr. Prime Minister"--referring to Martin and Michael's roles in The West Wing and The Queen, respectively).
So yes, the overarching point is that Michael doesn't blame Martin Sheen for these repeated mix-ups, and actually respects him as an actor and person. And when he has felt annoyed about this happening (as he did in 2020 when an ITV announcer called him the wrong name prior to a new episode of Quiz), Michael has had no problem calling it out himself on his own social media. Which speaks to your point @thetardisisblueandroseistoo about her trying to speak on Michael's behalf, and again doing a miserable job of it.
Also, what Michael hasn't done--and I suspect would be horrified at Anna doing--is go after the hosts of a show that he just appeared on yesterday. Particularly a show with hosts he is a tremendous fan of, as he spent a good portion of his appearance gushing about them and how much he enjoys listening to the show. I think he would more than understand the one host making this mistake--given his age and how much more embedded Martin Sheen is in pop culture--and would certainly exercise a lot more graciousness than to write a nasty tweet like the one AL did above.
That's the best way I can describe it: Shades of what we saw in the Insta story from last week, with that same self-aggrandizing, passive-aggressive (and now also kind of bitter) tone. There are a hundred other ways she could have responded to this, yet what she chose was to get in a dig at Michael, plus QT a fan tweet so that it could be misconstrued as her yelling at the fan. And again, in the cases where Michael has called out announcers or others for getting his name wrong, it's because he felt he deserved to have his name said correctly. In this case, however, it seems that AL wants the presenter to get Michael's name right because not doing so is an inconvenience to her.
Those were my impressions of AL's tweet, at any rate. All I can say is that from my perspective, if this was her attempting to defend Michael, it could not have been more backhanded. Glad to hear from my followers as well about your thoughts on this. Thanks for writing in! x

Today years old when I found out about the existence of 'Link Click Musical highlights' vlog series. And I'm going insane over it (esp the first gif). I haven't watched them all, bc I'm too excided to share it asap.
So I was looking through Wu Hanglu's weibo and saw she shared the vlog she did for the musical...
You can find it all on Encore Musicals weibo. It has around 6 parts, each is hosted by different Qiao Ling's actress. They have chinese subs, but even if you don't know the language there are still very fun ^^ Firstly, bc we can see all the actors rehearsing together!
Idk why I really wanted to see them all in the same room, so I'm having a field day seeing all Xiaoshis learning choreo, all Qiao Lings chatting at once or like Zhu Hanbin (LG) doing the floss dance with Teng Chunpeng and Ding Xingchen (CXS) in the background.
Other fun thing I've noticed is that the cast was using Link Click artbook as a reference (for eg. there's a clip where QL actress is doing all Qiao Ling's expressions from her reference sheet in a book). They have the book and other official stuff available on set. Imo it's v neat 🌟
OH! And how could I forget! You can sometimes hear instrumental versions of the songs in the background. The non-encore songs we don't get to hear. Crumbs Ik, but heyy it's better than nothing ✨

This will be a short discussion of what I originally planned regarding yibo endorsing national / homegrown brands recently and what it all means when talking about the bigger picture. and by that I mean, the connection between celebrities in CHN & nationalism as well as the increasing tension between CHN and other countries. As much as we all wanna live in a bubble of fandom where it’s all pretty boys & happiness, real life isn’t going that way.
I think Yibo knows that too and it’s influencing his choices. He had a personal experience with this — the whole NIKE fiasco in 2020 definitely was a lesson to him and his team. The risk of endorsing big international brands as a Chinese celebrity is real. It happened before and it may ( or will ) happen again. You never know what issue is going to pop up and suddenly, it’s all gone. We have seen time and again how the CCP can quickly direct these celebrities to sing and dance in whatever tune they like.
Let’s start with the biggest one he signed on to right after the whole nike fiasco. ANTA. It’s on record that as soon as WYB dropped Nike, there was a bidding of sorts on who is the domestic brand that will get him. ANTA wasn’t the highest offer, but he chose them because they are a national brand.
Then the list just goes on. A couple of these are due for renewal this year but just to illustrate which brands he is working with since 2021:

Redmi, Lenovo, Youku, Pechoin, Chunzhen, Super X, Bananain, Master Kong Iced Tea, Kelly One, Linsy, Bottled Joy, IKIDE, Helen Keller Glasses, SKG, Stride, Tokit, Chando, Unicharm, Rotai
I could be missing 1 or 2 but it’s a lot. for someone who averages 25-30 brands in a year all holding his name as endorser, the number of domestic ones is a lot.
This trend became more evident when looking at his new endorsements this year (2023):
5 out of the 6 brands are domestic.
It’s the reason why I had the urge to make this post, especially with him being announced as YAYA’s chief spokesperson. Personally, the last domestic brand surge I remember was 2021 and there were a couple of articles written about that. This year, the domestic brands are at it again and tapping celebrities to get more attention. It says a lot that these brands picked Yibo to represent this growth. It’s easy to sign on to a well known brand with a string of high profile endorsers before you, so this is again, a testament to Yibo’s character. He is not afraid to lend his name and reputation to the Nameless/Unknown ( i had to reference it i’m sorry lol ). He takes into consideration not just his growth but also his people, these Chinese companies who are fighting with brand titans.
He is also the go-to choice because his good reputation and appeal to the younger generation.
I think Wang Yibo’s age is more in line with this social group. He is a very positive young man. Recently, Wang Yibo is in the process of transforming from an idol to a powerful actor. He is more in line with the youthfulness of our future brand. (quote from tailing’s president )
I have taken this screenshot from an article by jingdaily that is worth a read. another factor is the general population’s preference as well. whether this is something that yibo & his team is taking into consideration, we don’t know but with the choices they are making i guess the answer is obvious.
This year too, I have noticed a shift in c-ent with celebrities being courted by international brands who thinks it’s safe (for) now to be visible in the CHN market again. I have no beef with these celebrities, you gotta do what you gotta do. International brand deals are hella lucrative and some luxury ones are considered an honor to be a part of. I mean even Yibo is very visible in promoting Chanel.
I get the lure of big brand endorsements but that doesn’t take away the reality of what could happen and that planning ahead is important. Yibo is more capable than people give him credit for. I think a lot of people underestimate his ability to look at a situation and make decisions that will benefit his career in the long run. To put it simply, if and when things go south in the political side of things he is prepared and there won’t be much of a loss in the endorsement side of things. It’s a very smart business move and you can add patriotic points too so that makes it perfect.
Yibo is really the one who walks the talk. This saying really applies to him more than anyone cause that is his essence as a person — you will see the truth in him with what he does. His actions speaks volumes. He will take a stand on what he believes in even if everyone else is going the opposite direction. 🤍
DISCLAIMER: This post is very much about Yibo if you couldn’t already tell, and my observation as a fan. It’s not meant to compare him to other CHN celebrities cause I don’t have the time and interest in making a comparison study of who has the most domestic brand endorsements. Loki Season 2's Press Tour Is Continuing Without Tom Hiddleston & Co.
The ongoing Hollywood strikes have made an impact on the promotion of Disney+’s Loki Season 2.
The fan-favorite Asgardian trickster Loki, as portrayed by Tom Hiddleston, will return for another season imminently. A second run for his self-titled Disney+ show hits in early October.
The Writers Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild have been on strike for months now. A conclusion to these work stoppages doesn’t seem to be on the horizon either, resulting in a wave of delays for several high-profile film and TV projects.
And, of course, SAG-AFTRA members have also been barred from promoting struck work, per union regulations.
Tom Hiddleston Won’t Be Promoting Loki
Due to the still-ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, the stars of Loki Season 2 will not be permitted to do any press for the show. This includes actors like Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, and Sophia Di Martino. Any members of the WGA, which is also currently striking, will follow suit until a new agreement is reached with the studios.
To counteract this, Marvel Studios has sent Kevin Wright, an executive producer on Loki, to engage with the press and promote the series’ second season. Wright was seen at the recent Destination D23 presentation, where he spoke to attendees about what the God of Mischief will get up to next.
Marvel recently delayed a large swath of its Disney+ projects, including Echo and Daredevil: Born Again. Loki’s release plan, however, remained intact.
When Will the Hollywood Strikes Be Over?
It’s the question on everyone’s mind: when will Hollywood’s writers and actors be back to work? The short answer: no one knows, but potentially not soon.
The longer answer? The Writers Guild of America will keep striking until it makes what it deems is a fair deal with the AMPTP, which is the group through which the film studios negotiate.
The writers have demands that they feel must be met by management, including concerns over pay, residuals, and the use of artificial intelligence.
Only after the WGA has squared up with the studios will the AMPTP open negotiations with SAG-AFTRA.
In August, an offer was extended to the writers, which they promptly blasted as being ”not nearly enough.” Since then, things have been in a holding pattern, and neither side has returned to the bargaining table yet.
Marvel Studios’ Loki Season 2 premieres on Wednesday, October 6.

A jump from modern day to the early 1990's when we meet a young, aspiring rockstar Eddie Munson at the heart of the Seattle grunge scene. I had the huge honor of being included in the Tattoo Cover-up Valentine's Day Special episode of Gutterballs by @dr-aculaaa and I'm still emotional about it, to be honest. This wee contribution is dedicated to Drac, as well as all of the Gutterballs friends I'm proud to know because of this fandom (coming for you, Daria.)

18+, smoking weed, the term 'bitches' used affectionally, mention of heartbreak, allusions to mental illness, a supposed one-night stand that became more, mention of addiction, that one friend who can find anyone online, hurt/comfort. Reader (Betty) has a good friend named Shelby, which is actually my cat in real life.

You picked at the label of your beer, waiting impatiently for your friend to pull up something on her laptop.
It was the recent episode of Gutterballs that had spurred your Sherlock Holmes friend into action. You said something in passing about how it’d be impossible to find the rest of Eddie Munson’s lost loves that were mentioned on the infamous podcast, and then she’d lost sleep wanting to prove you wrong.
“So. Here’s Abi and Chelsea,” Shelby motioned for you to come and look over her shoulder. She clicked on search tabs one at a time, including one for Ashley, causing a melancholy smile to quiver at the side of your mouth. “Pretty,” you nodded. “Eddie always knew how to pick ‘em.”
“This one looks dangerous,” she pointed to Jo, adjusting her glasses. “They all seem totally cool, actually.”
You scanned the various results from her internet sleuthing. “Which one is that?”
“Oh, that’s Meg,” Shelby clicked on a social media profile, and then pulled up a video of a chef with purple hair preparing something on the morning show.
“Fuckin, Meg,” you said under your breath in your best Eddie voice.
“Doesn’t she own that restaurant in Chicago we couldn’t afford to go to?” Shelby pinched her joint from the ashtray and took a drag, enlarging photos from their menu, concentrating. “I wonder if they accept Groupon.”
You stealthily followed Abby on social media from your private account and planned to buy some of her watercolor paintings. Funny enough, you already knew Emily. The two of you had been part of a mutual friend group for years, and so when Eddie mentioned them being a bitch you had to snort a laugh because…yeah.
“Nice work, Columbo,” you patted Shelby’s shoulder. “You found all of them in under 24 hours. I shall make you a commemorative plaque out of dry macaroni.”
Checking her phone, your sleuth friend mumbled to herself as she went down a rabbit hole of social media comments.
“Not all,” she slipped her bottom lip through her teeth a few times. “Took me a while to find Rose, they go by a different name on social media. The drawings they do are badass, and they like that same actor you do, the one with the Minecraft head.”
“So, I’m the only one out of all of them who didn’t do anything with my life? Nice.”
“Hey,” she said in mock scorn. “I bet none of these bitches can say they’ve had absolutely every career that’s ever existed. It takes a special kind of ingenuity to change jobs every 6 months. Plus, you wrote and published a whole-ass novel.”
“It only sold 37 copies,” you muttered. “Ten of which were to you and mom.”
You held your breath after that, watching the screen, waiting for the one name you hadn’t been able to connect a face to yet, but instead, Shelby slumped on the barstool with a defeated sigh. “Daria might be the one that got away. Haven’t found even a crumb for who or where they might be.”
“Damn,” you said softly. …where are you, Strigoi?
“How does Eddie even pull partners this hot?” Shelby asked, turning to dig for her Visine. “Wasn’t he the one who bragged about being able to burp the alphabet?”
Laughter bubbled in your throat at the memory; the type of laugh that immediately made tears burst from your eyes. You wiped your face in a way that was more of a slap and turned to stare at the gloom settling into the pines outside the window.
“He has a way about him I suppose.”
“I think you should call him,” she blurted, offering you a hit off the purple kush, but you waved her off. “If only to figure out the Daria mystery.”
“Oh yeah? Just call him? Just like that? Oh, hey Eddie I know it’s been almost three decades, but what’s new?”
“I mean, sounds legit to me.”
Remember those rainy days, Squirrel? Remember…
You tossed and turned early the next morning, reaching for your phone to scroll and help push away intrusive thoughts. How many things you’d fucked up, how many friends you’d lost to time and death and sloppy choices.
Maybe not all was lost…
Seattle, early 1990’s
“My lady is here with us tonight,” Eddie rumbled into the mic, gesturing to you from where he stood on that rickety old stage in front of a rowdy crowd at The Crocodile Cafe. Alice in Chains had played there, as well as Mother Love Bone and Mudhoney, back before they were household names. “This next one's for her.”
From your seat at the bar, you locked eyes with him, beaming with pride, but also shaking your head. “I hate you,” mouthing the words made his dimpled grin grow wider.
“Betty Spaghetti…. My beautiful Aquarius twin.”
The ink on your matching Aquarius glyph tattoos were still covered in Aquaphor that night. You’d spent the past two weeks trying to figure out how this chatty Indiana boy had managed to become a permanent fixture in your life.
“I don’t want anything serious,” you’d said into his mouth while your hands were all over each other in the dive bar bathroom the first time you met. Bonding over booze, blow, and the shared trauma of losing a parent, you recognized that emptiness mirrored in each other and wanted to fill it.
“Cool, neither do I,” he mumbled, shoving his jeans down his hips.
But he’d been lying through his teeth, and he confessed that to you a month later down on the wharf, handing over a little squirrel made of shells from the pocket of his leather jacket. He’d been sneaky and bought it at Ye Olde Curiosity Shop, a place the two of you liked to go to visit the mummified remains of a dude named Sylvester.
There was no major foundation for giving him the nickname Squirrel, one day it just happened. He was on the couch in his boxers, stoned out of his gourd, shoveling pretzels into his mouth at such a manic rate that his cheeks looked like they were about to burst.
“So, you knew I was the one back then? In a dark bar after 8 shots?”
He looped his arm with yours as you walked. “Uh-huh, still do,” he leaned in closer. “Still do.”
At that moment, during those days, you worried that you wouldn’t be able to breathe without him. You were both so young, too young to fully comprehend the impact of that time in your life in later years, or what a trauma bond even was.
But then the day came that you’d come to realize would always arrive for you eventually, and that was the time to move on: to other experiences, other people.
You didn’t know at the time that it could be done any other way, and so you made a real mess of things.
He made several attempts to get in touch with you, including the time years later when he found out from your mom that you were in rehab. He wrote to you, but you never wrote back, never returned his calls.
He wasn’t trying to stir up the old flames or get back together; by then, that ship had sailed, and the Eddie Munson you knew never stayed single for long. But he did want you to know that you weren’t alone, that you would always have a friend in him. That he’d meant it when he said he’d always care about you.
Returning to the current reality, you chewed at your thumbnail, staring at the phone number Shelby had written down for you on a yellow legal pad. How she’d managed to get a hold of Eddie Munson’s private cell number, you’d never know.
You were about to end the call after the second ring, flustered, thinking it would be better to send a text, when just then—- he answered.
Eddie recognized the area code, but never thought in a million years that it would be…
“H-hey Squirrel, it’s me.”
Dead silence made your heart flop. Maybe you should say it’s a wrong number, maybe this was a mistake. What if he considered you a lost love, but he no longer wanted anything to do with you? He did cover up the tattoo, after all.
“Well, well, if it isn’t my Betty Fuckin’ Spaghetti,” you could hear the joy in his voice, could hear his wide smile cracking into seasoned laugh lines. “I’ve missed the shit outta you.”

Aldo Ray (born Aldo Da Re; September 25, 1926 – March 27, 1991) was an American actor of film and television. He began his career as a contract player for Columbia Studios before achieving stardom through his roles in The Marrying Kind, Pat and Mike (which earned him a Golden Globe nomination), Let's Do It Again, and Battle Cry. His athletic build and gruff, raspy voice saw him frequently typecast in "tough guy" roles throughout his career, which lasted well into the late 1980s. Though the latter part of his career was marked by appearances in low-budget B-movies and exploitation films, he still starred occasionally in higher-profile features, including The Secret of NIMH and The Sicilian.
A blond, beefy screen hunk from Hollywood’s Golden Age, who took off his shirt to reveal his hairy chest at the drop of a script. Allegedly, he got his big break in this business after getting a blowjob from gay film director George Cukor for the part in The Marrying Kind. After a successful run as a big star of the macho hunk variety in the ’50s and ’60s, Ray took a long, hard fall from Hollywood’s grace. He appeared in a non-sexual role in a porn movie called Sweet Savage and besides kissing and fondling the boobs of one woman, he stayed completely dressed.
Married three times with four children, at the end of his career when he was just eking out an existence (he lost it all!), he blamed it all on his relationships with women! Aldo Ray died of throat cancer on March 27, 1991, survived by his third wife and four children, including actor Eric DaRe (Twin Peaks).

Okey, so all the accounts seem to be followed by each other and their respective actors, but are not followed by either the Playboyy account or Copy A Bangkok, so... Thank you, @recentadultburnout, for tagging me and asking for my nine favorite TV shows! I might have gone a little overboard because I haven’t been tagged a lot before, but please indulge me.
This is going to be limited to QLs, if only because I couldn’t think of a single piece of Western (or straight) media I love and/or remember well enough to be able to put on this list. The ones I have chosen are below, in no particular order.
1. The Untamed
This one belongs here both for being a fantastic story and for being the reason I even discovered any of the other series on this list. My entire “obsessed with Asian queer media” thing started all because a friend once told me, “Let me show you what I’ve been watching recently.” What can I say, drunk Lan Zhan got to me.
2. Moonlight Chicken
One of the most beautiful, thought-provoking and mature series I’ve ever seen, QL or otherwise. P’Aof is a genius and I would have to hide in shame if I didn’t have at least one of his works on this list. He created a narrative of six real people trying to figure out life and how to be happy and there is so much strength in every single one of them.
3. Not Me
With at least three watchthroughs one of my most-watched BLs. I mean, OffGun and the social commentary and political action and the queerness of it all and the characters. Ugh, I love this show. Plus, the music and musical editing were phenomenal.
4. Where Your Eyes Linger
Probably my favorite Korean BL ever? Also the KBL to really get me into KBLs, so it already deserves a medal for that (I was missing out on so much). I’m a sucker for good yearning and forbidden relationships, and this series gave me everything I wanted. And, again, the soundtrack. The instrumental of See U playing as Kang Gook storms Tae Joo’s dad’s house lives rent-free in my mind.
5. HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count
Yes, it’s the other HIStory 3, the one everyone ignores because ‘he went out to buy salt’. Look, don’t judge me, I own up to my love for this series. It’s not the show’s fault all anyone ever remembers is the tragic ending. It’s also such a beautiful story about a total dork falling in love with a lonely nerd and defying all odds to be with him. Plus, the best sibling relationship ever. And (spoiler) said dork dying doesn’t invalidate everything else the series tells us. Yes, it was sad, but I can deal with the sadness. And sometimes, the sadness is as much part of a show as it is of life.
6. The Eclipse
This series haunts me to this day. I was obsessed with it, and I still am. Akk is one of my favorite characters ever written, and First portrayed him beautifully. So did Khaotung with Ayan. The sheer existence of P’Golf baffles my mind to this day. These 12 episodes gave me everything I’ve ever wanted.
7. The Eighth Sense
I take back what I said about Where Your Eyes Linger. This is my favorite KBL. I’m not even sure I can explain why. It’s just so honest. And so, so queer. It made me cry so many times, and the storytelling was magnificent. Plus, it’s one of the few full-length KBLs we have.
8. We Best Love
The cups in my profile picture are the ones Yu Zhenxuan and Pei Shouyi drink out of in the flashbacks of the second season, so... yeah.
This was my very first QL that wasn’t a bromance, and so I’m very biased. I’m almost mad at myself for making this my first one, because sometimes it feels like nothing else could ever live up to it. I admit to having a special love for season 1, even though season 2 seems to be the one people talk about a lot more. It’s just perfect, everything about it. Especially Gao Shide’s mom.
9. My School President
What a phenomenal show. I remember how much I was looking forward to Fridays during the time this was airing, and each week it gave me everything I wanted. Gemini and Fourth are fantastic actors, the friend groups made me cry all the time, it’s one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen, and there are some absolute bangers in there, musically speaking. Gun and Tinn will always have a special place in my heart.
Some honorable mentions because it’s really hard to pin down exactly nine:
Never Let Me Go – I spent a lot of time debating whether to put this or MSP in this list because I love them both equally. And because they aired around the same time, they are sort of irrevocably tied together in my mind.
Big Dragon – I loved this significantly more than I ever expected to, and I can’t be impartial about Yai to this day, because I love him with all my heart. This was such a messy, weird, chaotic show, and yet it somehow gave us such beauty and sappy people in love.
Step by Step – It doesn’t get to be on the list because it hasn’t finished airing yet, and so it could still fuck up, but if it keeps going like this, it is definitely going to become one of my favorites. (Same with Be My Favorite, honestly.)
I don’t know many people around here, and certainly not many I wouldn’t feel awkward tagging, but I’ll just be awkward anyway and kindly ask @ellaspore and @biochemjess if they feel up for it. I wanna know! (No pressure, though.)

Kate: What’s your perception of “evil”, Liam…?
Liam: To me…
Kate: I’ve never heard about why you joined Crown.
Kate: But if you don't want to talk about it—
I wanted to tell him “you don't have to tell me if you don't want to”, but Liam’s gentle smile made me hold my words.
Liam: I joined Crown seven years ago. Back then, Victor approached me because he was recruiting people born with curses.
Liam: “Why don't you join us?” Doesn’t that sound like Victor? At first, I found him weird.
Liam: At that point in time, I wasn't a stage actor yet, and I didn't really have anything to smile or laugh about.
Kate: … That’s why you accepted Victor’s invitation?
Liam: Yes. I was a pinhead who didn't understand the meaning of “fighting evil with evil”, but…
Liam: — I still joined Crown anyway. And everyone there gave me a reason to stay in Crown.
Liam: Just like Victor, Will has devoted his entire life to fighting evil with evil.
Liam: That’s why I want to be useful, even just a little bit. I don't want Will to hate me.
Liam: My buddy Harry is fighting his own battles. Even though I don't know what they are…
Liam: If Harry ever needs help, I’ll be the first to go to him.
Liam: Also—
(... Liam is always thinking of other people.)
Kate: Fufu, those sound so like you.
Liam: Oh…
Liam: Ahaha, sorry. Right, you were asking me about my perception of “evil”.
Liam: To me, “evil” is—
Liam: …
Liam: I need some time to come up with a good answer for you.
Kate: Okay, then.
Liam: Ah, that's right. I heard that The Scala will be performing “Wuthering Heights”. Did you know about it?
Kate: Yes, of course! I’ve read that story’s novel.
“Wuthering Heights” was a story of love and revenge that took place in the outskirts of Yorkshire.
(That novel being turned into a play… the thought of it is already so exciting.)
Kate: Which character role will you play?
Liam: The chairman, Tom, is having a hard time deciding on the casting. To the point he can’t sleep at night.
We took one look at each other and burst out laughing.
Kate: I’m sure I’m not the only one looking forward to seeing you on stage.
Liam: Huh?
Kate: After the “Romeo and Juliet” performance that night, I heard someone say “Liam shines as bright as Betelgeuse.”
Liam: Betelgeuse… you mean that bright red star?
Kate: Yes. I think she was trying to say that you were sparkling and dazzling so brightly that she couldn't help but want to reach for you.
Kate: That made me so happy to hear, even though I wasn't the one being praised.
Liam: …
Liam: Hey, Kate. Why do you think people look at the stars?
He looked up at the stars with his rose coloured eyes.
Kate: Because they’re sparkly? People are naturally attracted to sparkly and shiny things, such as diamonds and sun rays.
Liam: … Yeah, I agree.
Liam’s shapely lips curled into a smile.
Liam: People look at stars because they shine.
Liam: If they don't shine, people might forget that there are even any stars in the sky.
Liam: … Moreover, there's no value in something that doesn't shine, right?
(Liam…?)
Liam: Everyone wants a shining star, and if it pleases them and means something to them…
Liam: I want to be that star. I don't care if I’m just a fake.
Liam’s profile as he looked up at the stars felt lonely.
The profile that was so close to me that I could touch it if I reached my hand out, was like a star fading away at dawn.
— So awfully ephemeral.
(Liam is like a star to me. He’s not a fake, but…)
Perhaps there were stressors and responsibilities that only Liam knew as a stage actor.
No matter how hard I tried to imagine what they were, I could never fully understand what he was going through.
(Liam told me this on the night I was almost swallowed whole by the darkness.)
== Flashback Start ==
Liam: You’re the only one who can know how you truly feel, in the very core of your heart.
Liam: Your heart belongs to you, and only you. I hope that you’ll let me help you stay just the way you are.
== Flashback End ==
(... I wish to return Liam’s kindness, even just a little bit.)
I desperately searched for the right words, and expressed my thoughts verbally.
Kate: The Liam who shines, the Liam who tries to shine, and the Liam who doesn't shine at all… they’re all wonderful.
Liam: Huh…?
Kate: I’m sure that many people will be happy just because you are you. Myself included.
Liam: …
Liam: Ah…
Liam: Can I accept your ardent confessions of love?
Kate: I didn't mean them that way! I only like you as a person—
Liam: Ahaha! I know, I know. I just love seeing you get flustered. I’m sorry, alright?
I couldn't bring myself to blame him when he looked at me with that carefree and innocent smile.
Liam was the star he gave me that night. He was still there, shining brightly next to me. and never losing his brilliance.
Kate: The stars are beautiful tonight, so tomorrow's weather will definitely be clear… I’m looking forward to spending time with you tomorrow.
Liam: Tomorrow…
Liam: I’m part of your tomorrow too…?
Kate: Of course. I’m your personal fairytale writer, Liam.
Liam: … I see. In that case, I’ll do my best tomorrow so you won't start to dislike me.
I smiled in response to Liam’s teasing, and that was when my stomach made a pathetic growling sound.
(Oh…)
Liam: Ahaha, let’s have something to eat before we head home. There’s a tavern nearby, let me be your escort.
Liam grinned when I held the hand he extended towards me.
What I had for Liam was always feelings of adoration, but now… they're definitely more than that.
Deep in my heart, I felt that if Liam had any things causing him misery, I wanted to clear them all away from him.
(I wonder what this feeling is called.)
…
Liam: We’re here. The food and alcohol here are grea—
???: Wow, it’s Liam!
A young man with his hair tied back ran up to Liam and hugged him tightly.
(...!)
???: I just knew we were destined to meet tonight. I was sure of it.
Liam: Okay, Okay, calm down, Tom.
Kate: “Tom” is… is he the chairman of The Scala?
Tom: Oops, forgive me for not properly introducing myself. I am Tom, the chairman, director, and scriptwriter of The Scala. Pleasure to meet you.
Kate: I’m Kate, a friend of Liam’s. Pleasure to meet you too.
Tom: I’m having drinks with the troupe. Care to join us, Liam and Kate?
Liam: Only if it's alright with you, Kate. Tom and the rest of the troupe may be a group of weird people, but they’re harmless. Don’t worry about them.
Tom looked at me and gave me a thumbs up with a wink.
(... Fufu, he seems like a fun person to be around. Kind of like Victor.)
Kate: Certainly, I’d be more than happy to!
Tom: Alright then, in that case, let me introduce you to everyone. Hey, all of you…!
After briefly exchanging pleasantries, we sat down at the table with everyone else and enjoyed the food and drinks.
That tavern was Liam’s recommendation, so the food and drinks were incredible.
(Oh, Liam got surrounded by people. He looks like an ordinary man this way, it’s hard not to smile at the sight.)
As I watched Liam get surrounded by his troupe members, a lady with gorgeous black hair sat down right next to him.
(...?)
Bianca: Mind if I sit next to him, Kate? The men over there are insufferable.
Kate: Yes, of course. Go ahead!
As a fan of stage plays, I was thrilled, but I had to avoid having that written all over my face.
(... She’s gorgeous. And she smells so good.)
When that perverted thought came across my mind, Bianca rested her chin in her hand and looked at me while sipping on her glass of wine—
Bianca: I’m actually… Liam’s lover.
(... What?)
Those words instantly caused a heavy feeling in my heart.
(Why am I even shocked… of course Liam has someone this fine in his life.)
Kate: … I- I see.
Bianca: Fufu, I’m kidding! I just found it cute that you were gazing at Liam so passionately.
(...!)
Kate: I wasn’t… I- I was just smiling while looking at him…
Bianca laughed and applied rouge to her lips.
That made me feel relieved for some reason.
Bianca: Rest assured that Liam’s just a friend. I’m already in love with someone else.
Bianca: I haven't seen that person in a long time…
Kate: Why…?
Bianca: He was a sailor. One day, he went out to sea and was never heard from again.
Bianca: Everyone kept telling me that his ship was sunken and he would never return. However, Liam didn't.
Bianca: “I’m sure he’s still alive. It's going to be alright” … He consoled me when I couldn't stop crying.
Bianca: What I wanted at that point of time wasn't the truth, it was a “maybe”. A small shred of hope…
Liam knew that the tiniest bit of hope could give someone enough reason to keep living.
That's why, even when the situation was already hopeless, he told her the words she needed to hear.
Kate: Liam always knows what others want.
Bianca: Fufu, you’re right. However…
I could see Liam’s reaction in Bianca’s eyes, he was laughing while being surrounded by friends.
Bianca: Liam has never been able to figure out what he wants for himself.
(What Liam wants…?)
Those casually mentioned words took me by surprise.
(Liam is always giving me what I want, and telling me what I want to hear.)
(But…)
(Has he ever really wanted something from me?)
Liam always did things in a playful manner, and never once had he made me do anything I didn't want to.
I thought it was because he was kind, but — was that really the case?
(We’ve spent so much time together. It’s as if…)
(... he doesn't have any of his own desires.)
Liam: Kate.
I looked in the direction of the voice calling my name and saw Liam raising his glass with a smile.
Liam: I heard this drink has a very high alcohol level, so it's extremely strong. Would you like some, Kate?
The sight of his cheeky smile snapped me back to reality.
(I’m overthinking… right?)
Kate: Fufu, I think I’m going to pass out, no thank you.
Troupe Member: Hey, Liam. Don't recommend such crazy drinks to ladies!
Liam: Eh— is it bad to do that? Oops, I’m so foolish.
Liam: Kate, ignore what I just said and just drink this wine here. You too, Bianca!
Bianca: Seriously, men will be men regardless of how old they get. Come on, Kate.
Kate: Fufu, okay!
Whenever I was with Liam, it was always filled with fun and laughter. It was like a star had fallen in front of me.
I never noticed anything else.

I was reading through Miss Ravens' profile when i noticed that she isn't in any club? D:
So i was wondering what if Miss Raven joined one of the many club activities that we know exists of our main casts?
I think the one club in particular would fit Miss Raven would be the 'Film studies club'. She doesn't have to be an actor but rather help backstage, OR she could help with writing the screenplay! You know how some books/stories get a film adaptation! That being said Vil most likely would be strict and a perfectionist and that might stress her out.
Another club i think would be fitting for her might be the 'Mountain Lovers Club.' And no, i'm saying that because of Jade T_T. Since Miss Raven is well... a Raven, she might enjoy the scenery and the walks around the forest/mountains maybe she'll get this weird sense of nostalgia idk. I highly doubt she would join because of well..... jade.
The last club i think would fitting for Miss Raven is the 'Gargoyle Research Society'. I don't know how the relationship between Miss Raven and Malleus is but is she were to join it would be only the two of them walking around NRC and examining the gargoyles. That way she could also bond with him like Malleus could be teaching her about gargoyles and Miss Raven might get inspired by this and come up with little stories featuring/about gargoyles. Totally doesn't remind me of Maleficent and her pet Raven Diablo, nooooo of course not!
Anyway, as for the rest of the Clubs.
Clubs i don't think would fit Miss Raven would be: -Basketball Club, Horse-Riding Club, Magical Shift Club, Track & Field. Seeing as Miss Raven is Small and frail i don't think these Clubs would be good for her!
As for the remaining Clubs, i honestly don't know, neutral or doesn't fit her: Band, Board Game Club, Science Club.
But honestly it's funny to imagine Miss Raven going through all the clubs and trying them out only for her in the end not to choose any club because of bizarre and traumatising the situations she had to go through were.
(That being said i can't help but find it extremely funny if Miss Raven was trying out the basketball club only for floyd to terrorizing her by throwing a basketball ball towards her with full force while yelling "Catch! black pearly!!! :'D" or Floyd somehow placing her on the basketball hop and now she can't come down. Jade go get your brother!!! >:0)

Miss Raven’s not in a club because that’s meant to make her “out of place”. After all, she’s a surprise addition to the story and unlike a regular member of the main cast. It’s similar to how Ortho wasn’t recognized as a student until the end of book 6 (so he also had no club before then). I like the idea of them going around and testing out different clubs together like the little buddies that they are ^^
I definitely think Miss Raven wouldn’t be in an athletic extracurricular; she’s coordinated in her bird form but much less so in human form (since she’s not used to it, even now). Plus, she wants to avoid Floyd if she can, and that means keeping away from the gym and Basketball Club in general-- All the cultural clubs sound interesting though; Miss Raven would want to dabble in them all eventually and get a feel for what each group's activities are like:
Film Research Club - Like the Anon said, she could play more of a supportive role?? Miss Raven could write a screenplay, but I get the feeling Vil likes to be in charge and would want to write it himself (or would make demands if he entrusts it to her). But she's a perfectionist too, so it'd just end up being a battle of two stubborn people until her patience wears thin. Maybe other tasks could involve making sure the production is on schedule, running food and drinks for the cast, directing props and sets, etc.
Mountain Lovers Club - A return to her simple life in nature! She can explore new places and perhaps document or pick up new plants to use in brewing her enchanted inks. Oh, and Miss Raven can say hello to all the birds in the forest and on the mountains. I'm sure she won't actually be super productive though, since she'll be bickering with J word and fighting for tent space half of the time. (He'll ask her if she had fun being bullied by his twin.) They can sketch new specimens and write about them together.
Gargoyle Research Society - With an interest in ancient magic and history, Miss Raven might actually have an interest in the content provided by this club. She can't help but feel like Malleus is glaring at her though (when really he's just waiting to be asked a question so he can go off on an eager hours long ramble about what he knows). There's a lot of misunderstandings between them, but he seems excited to have someone who is obligated to listen to him passionately describe every gargoyle on campus. There’s a something akin to a mentor-mentee relationship, similar to that of Maleficent and her henchman Diablo.
Board Game Club - Oh, a chance to learn about other forms of human entertainment! Unfortunately, it’s hard for Miss Raven to focus as she’s busy fistfighting with the members for the shiniest pieces and arguing rule semantics with whoever she's playing against. She gets caught up in the thrill of winning too.
Pop/Light Music Club - There’s good but chaotic vibes. She'd probably lose her mind trying to get the members to cohesively play a song (trying to relive her days as an actual songbird), only for them to decide to kick back and just have some snacks instead. In the end, Miss Raven gives up and plops on the ground to join them and chat.
Science Club - This would be a controlled and contained approach to a Miss Raven’s scientific knowledge and creativity. We love women in STEM— She has her personal protective gear on and is keeping an eye trained on Rook to make sure he doesn't do anything... silly. Maybe she can demonstrate to everyone just how she makes her enchanted inks?
Eventually I do envision Miss Raven joining NRC’s Newspaper Club (not canonized I believe, just something I made up) once she’s more sure of her identity. For now, she’s busy acting as Crowley’s errand runner 💀
