I went to sleep a poet and I woke up a fraud #which. idk when tmotm was written exactly. patrick wanted it on the album proper instead of dark alley and champagne #but the song released in march 2006. I'm just saying that in a lot of ways hand of god feels like a draft almost #and MUCH of what it says both literally and thematically is transfered into tmotm #the contrast of the 2nd verse of hand of god vs the clarity and precision of ''went to sleep a poet and woke up a fraud'' ?#um.... hm. I won't conjecture #especially not on main. but....... I do have An Emotion about this ngl #ok that was just for my own notes ignore me. pencil in hand I'm just trying to make this work #moving on.

So I have taken upon myself to request a BlessedVerse ramble/lore dump.

WOW I havent thought about BlessedVerse in a long long time! (back when I used to write for Wattpad)

Most of the story can be found there but to summarize it:

The Bad Sanses were on the run from the Stars and ended up trusting Nightmare in hopping multiverses (they knew there was a risk of just dying but they were together and thats all that mattered. there was also a little prior horrordust in there).

They end up in a medieval-themed Verse

I'd love to tell you more but there is just SO MUCH LORE

Like the Blessed Isles, The Badlands, the Blessed Army, Slayer (Killer) becoming a butler/assassin out of spite, Canary(Dust) being forced to sing until he mentally degraded and became a mute, Hunter(Horror) being a Greater Skeleton Monster who was frozen in ice and tamed into joining the party with food, etc.

Don't get me started on the fact that Oracle(Error) is being manipulated by Dawn(Dream) to be his lover--

She closed the door she just came in behind her and tossed her still bloodied sword unto the floor - she actually had planned to clean it right after coming home. However, one look at Amadeus and her plan changed immediately.

A hand was put underneath his chin, so she could take a better look into his face. A hum was her only reaction before letting go, “Did something happen or was it just because I wasn't here?”. Taru wasn't annoyed about it, moreover she felt a weird mix of amusement and worry - depending on his reply, she'd know that one of those emotions would take over rather soon.

“It better wasn't latter. Else I'll have to tire you out the next time I go somewhere alone.”, a promise or a threat? Well, she'd decide later.

I had a series of lovely, random thoughts about brokenice!Luche, including some thoughts about her interaction with her clan - and it really hit me how her actions toward her mother and grandmother are mirrored by Clan Lazarus's reaction towards *her*. Just - providing for temporal needs, and Luche sees the similarities, sees the parallels, but knows to her bones how different the motivations were. The similarities and differences are probably just pronounced enough that it /grates/.

Clan Lazarus cares!

They do!

Luche Lazarus - although a traitor, although everything they hate - is still a Lazarus! So of course they care!

They don’t care enough to fight the path laid before them. They don’t care enough to know her as who she is. They don’t care enough to recognize her as a person and not just Tita’s experiment gone wrong or a future traitor.

"A-Anzu..." His words come out as a stammer, his cheeks turning the same shade of pink as the strawberry component of the ice cream flavor she just spoke of. It wasn't uncommon for her to say sweet and sentimental things like this, but something about felt...different.

Was she...flirting with him...?

Regardless of her intentions, his face shifts from one of shock to a smile. The blush on his cheeks still remains. In fact, it gets slightly more pink as he does what he does next. He gently places his hand ontop her own, his eyes meeting hers as he responds to her words with ones of his own, straight from his heart.

"If anyone's any flavor of wonderful around here, it's you, Anzu. You've always have amazed me, ever since we met. You were...my first real friend, after all. And I'm..." He pauses for a moment as the look in his eyes gets even softer. "...very thankful to have you in my life. I know we don't see each other as much considering how busy we both our chasing our dreams, but...I'm glad when we can just meet and hang out like this."

It is then that he removes his hand and stands to his feet, offering the dancer his hand. "Say, why don't we get some ice cream, on me? A new place opened up not too far from here that Mokuba says is the best around."
