Opening the door to the outside, a soft breeze hugged you gently. It was the time of the year where everything was reborn and life started to fill every living thing.
Off in the distance you spotted something strange. As curious as a cat you walked forward, fingers gentle touching the various flora you passed.
Up ahead a figure smiled, offering a hand as you drew closer. “Oh my, a new flower! Right this way dear”.
Brushing past the vines that draped over a wall that had appeared, you found yourself pushed forward as light began to shine brightly. As quickly as it had come, it was gone. Blinking in confusion you opened your eyes and gasped at the sight.
Books. Books everywhere.
Over in the corner you spotted another figure. Walking over, you tapped the bell, eyes looking up at you. “Oh hello, welcome!”. Their voice was soothing and warm, easing you. “This is my library, here you’ll find works of many kinds. The more spicier ones are in the back there”.
Standing up, they offered you their hand and smiled. “Don’t worry sweet flower, you’re safe here. You can call me Lexa”.

Chaos.
That's the only word you could describe everything you saw around you. Ruin, blazes, destruction. All of this because you were the latest mission of a long list of names for the male stood in front of you.
Your team stood scattered around, as he drew closer to you. An emotionless stare burning into you as you stood your ground not ready to give up just yet. The faint static in your earpiece was jumbled with a response from someone but you didn't care to listen.
Your body grew tired as you contemplated accepting your fate. You heard the stories for as long as you could remember. A male soldier who was the best at crossing off names. HYDRA's top weapon. The legendary Winter Soldier. You, like many, believed him to be a myth. A story made up to scare young kids into following the right path because they didn't want to end up the same way he did. Only he turned out not to be a myth, he was very much real.
"Hey, (y/n), come on! Get out of there!".
The sudden loudness made you jump slightly, your breath catching in your throat as you forgot how long you had it. The creaking of leather coming closer drew you out of your daze.
This was the day you were going to die. Sure, you had those thoughts many a time before but the people who tried to kill you in the past? This guy made them look like amateurs. At best, a child would do a better job than them.
Your eyes finally locked with the soldier's as you continued to stand your ground. Hands dropping to your sides as your weapon thudded on the concrete. You were tired. Tired of running. Tired of trying to convince yourself that this was all some crazy nightmare and you'd wake up soon.
"Fine, you win. I'm tired of this bullshit. I'm tired of running from you!".
Not once did the assassin react to your words. His gaze remained fixed on the target that had spent so long running from him. Once your name was crossed off, HYRDA would be pleased. You should have been one of the easiest for him to kill but somehow, you were the hardest one. Managing to escape his attempts to thwart you time again until he cornered you in some little city not too far from where he was told you resided. It would be over in a matter of seconds but those last few seconds to you would be the most painful you had ever felt in all of your existence.
Letting out a shaky breath you closed your eyes, enjoying the blackness before it became one of the last things your mind had seen. The assassin's kills were anything but painless, being able to rid the plant of your existence in seconds. You had your typical regrets of someone in your position. Of the life you never lived, of the life you'll never get to live. Maybe if you hadn't spent the past few months on the run, you would have lived your life to the fullest ready to accept this day. Now that it was here, you didn't want to leave.
"Just get it over with, Winter Soldier! I'm sure HYDRA will celebrate in some sick and twisted way when~".
Something caused you to look over the metal shoulder as your eyes tried to fixate on something happening. You couldn't quite make it out but yet, down in your gut, you didn't have the greatest feeling about it. Squinting you saw the faint glimmer of what your team called the best weapon in your grasp. From talking to the people who had managed to survive a shot from it, you found them to be in pain many months after. Some of the pain strong enough to make them want someone or something to finish the job off.
Piecing things together in your head, your eyes widened in horror as your legs began to move. A loud shot being fired was all you heard as you rushed forward, managing to push the assassin out of the way. The hot metal of the bullet fired piercing your shoulder as you landed with a grunt, your breathing rate increasing as you gripped the wound, hissing out at the contact. You don't know what made you move but something told you to save the soldier.
Judging by the look in his eyes, your reaction had taken him by just as much surprise as you.
Looking down, a small smile tugged at the corner of the sitting figure’s lips as they leaned over, placing a soft kiss upon the other's forehead. It had been a few years since that incident and they couldn't thank you enough for taking the first steps towards their freedom.
Sure, Bucky still had the arm given to him by HYDRA but he was planning on replacing it as soon as possible. The final piece of his horrible past as a ruthless killer. He didn't know why you had done what you had done but he was thankful. You may have been the only person to escape him for so long but maybe it was for that reason alone you had.
Cliché or not, you were his saving grace and he wasn't going to let you go anytime soon. Even if it killed him in the process.

Letting out a yawn you stretched and rolled over, grabbing ahold of your phone as another message alert rang out. Thanks to the constant back and forth from the people in your friend group, specifically two people, you were up earlier than you would have loved on your day off. Unlocking your phone, you quickly scanned your messages and rolled your eyes, what was supposed to be a conversation about what you were all doing for the day ended up with some back and forth between Tristan and Joey, who ignored what others were saying to them. Typical as always.
Letting out a sigh, you pulled the covers back and got out of bed. You needed to freshen up for the day and no doubt you’d be done before a plan was made. After selecting your outfit and placing it to the side, you grabbed everything you needed and made your way to the bathroom. Turning on the taps for your bath. Warm began to fill the air as the mirror up from your sink started to steam over, causing your reflection to slowly distort. For the past few days, your dreams had been normal, nothing out of the ordinary and for that you were thankful. You didn’t think you’d be able to handle any more.
Shutting the water off, you stripped out of your bedclothes and slowly stepped into the bath, letting out a content sigh as the water wrapped around you. If it was one thing you loved about being at home after a long week, it was your bath. Sure, showers proved useful but sometimes all you wanted to do is relax. Slipping down a little, you rested your head against the edge of the bath and closed your eyes for a moment. Enjoying the calmness.
Soft chatter died down as a door was shut, a lone figure sighing out as they leaned against it. The day has been as long as it has been busy and the Queen was ready to relax with a bath. Pushing off the door, the young woman walked forward and glanced around, smiling softly at the various items left on the side for her. Lifting her hands, she pushed the straps of her outfit down off her shoulders and allowed the garment to fall to the floor, pooling around her feet. Stepping out, the Queen bent over and picked it up, placing it to the side as she took off some of her jewellery, the bigger items being laid gently to the side, smaller items being kept on her figure.
When she was bare, she stepped forward and slowly walked into the large pool, the cool water a welcoming feeling on her warm skin. With all the madness going on in the palace, times like this felt like a breath of fresh air, especially when she already felt out of place. Stepping further into the pool, the young Queen took a breath and held it, plunging herself underneath for a few seconds before emerging and wiping her eyes. Repeating the process a few times before she was satisfied with how much she had cooled down. Looking around, she turned her body and moved gently towards the side, sitting down on the steps that she walked down. Unaware of the eyes that watched her closely.
She didn’t know how long she’d been sitting there in her own world, tuned out of everything around her, as the feeling of the water shifting beside her made her look. Letting out a small yelp of surprise, she pushed the shoulder of the other person and smiled, lying her head on the place she pushed a few seconds earlier. “I was wondering how long it would have been before you joined me, my love”.
Looking up, she saw the visible tiredness on the male's face and sighed softly. She hated seeing him so worn out, he needed a break as much as the next person. Of course, he had things he had to attend to, being the Pharaoh meant he had duties, a lot of them but he needed time off now and then. Sitting forward, she shifted herself so she knelt behind him, hands rubbing small circles across his back as she felt him relax. “That’s it, feels so great am I right?”.
Leaning over his shoulder she looked at him and smiled, placing a small kiss on his cheek before moving back to what she was doing. The feeling of him relaxing more made her smile humming softly as she continued for a few more minutes, moving to sit by his side when she was finished. The two of them sat in comfortable silence for a moment.
The water began to move as the young Queen turned her head, tilting it as she watched what her husband was doing. In a second he was behind her, hands resting on her hips as he pulled her close to him. Looking to the side, she opened her mouth to speak before giggling at the look she saw. A look that only she got to see made itself known on his features before disappearing as he lowered his head to the nape of her neck. “You know, (e/n), I could think of better ways to relax or ways you could put those fingers of yours to use”.
The heat she felt creep across her face was similar to the hot days Ra provided. They’d been married for a good while now but he still made her blush with the words he spoke to her when they were alone. The feeling of fingers slowly trailing over her skin made her shiver, biting back a small moan when his touches moved lower. The Pharaoh would be her undoing, making her fall apart as she lost her mind to the throes of pleasure, bringing her back to earth with a crash when it was all over, and right now, this was no different. “Here of all places, ———?”.
Looking as best as she could, she saw the desire in his eyes before their positions changed, her new perch being the bare lap of her husband as she felt just how much he wanted her. His eagerness was hard to hide. Fingers moved further down her body slowly moving along her slit, threatening to slip into her core at any point, his other hand reaching up to cup her breast, pinching her nipple. The chuckle that echoed at her moans made her push herself closer to her other half. “I think we both know we’d never make it back to our chambers before I took you again today, besides~”.
The hand on her chest moved, causing a small whimper to sound before she felt her face being cupped slightly. Forced to look into amethyst-coloured eyes, the Queen tried her hardest to resist the building desire in her gut. They’d already been close to each other earlier in the day before they were both caught up in their duties. A loud moan sounded as fingers pushed past her lower lips, slipping into her throbbing core. “~I heard water makes for good pleasure. I guess we should try it”.
Opening your eyes you sat up and panted, some water splashing on the floor as you breathed heavily. Looking around you saw you were alone, your heart beating erratically as you tried to calm down. Of all the visions, dreams, whatever you wanted to call them at this point, this one felt the most real. The touches, the voices everything felt so real. Looking down at your body, you could still make out the trail the fingers took before blushing slightly, shaking your head to rid yourself of those thoughts. “I’m losing it”.
Deciding it was best to get out you pulled the plug and stepped out of the water, wrapping a towel around you. You had to get out of your bathroom, even if it was for a minute to gather yourself before you set foot back inside. Walking out to your bedroom you reached your bed and grabbed your phone, seeing a few tags in your group chat asking if the plans were okay with you. Tapping out a quick reply that said anything was fine with you, you sent another letting them know to go ahead you’d catch up.
Placing your phone down you took a moment to sigh out, trying to think of anything else other than what had just happened. As you turned around and began to walk back towards the room you had come from, the sound of your phone pinging again several times caught your attention. Part of you told you to ignore it, it was just the group chat but another part of you willed you to check it out. Listening to that half, you walked back to your bed and grabbed your phone only to see several messages from Yugi.
Tilting your head in confusion, you unlocked your phone and read through what he had sent.
Starfish:
Hey (y/n), before you go and meet the gang, can you stop by mine?
We’ll go and meet them together, plus I have something I need to ask you!
You’re the only one who can help in this situation.
Blinking a few times, you reread over the message a couple of times, seemed a bit out of the ordinary but you weren’t one to ignore a friend in need.
Butterfly:
YUGI!
Hey, of course, I shouldn’t be too long but I need to get sorted first.
May or may not have fallen back asleep D:
I’ll let you know when I’m on the way!
Locking your phone, you placed it on your table and grabbed your clothes, getting ready within a matter of minutes. Before long, you were finished and heading out. Checking your pockets once more you nodded to yourself and closed your front door, grabbing your phone and shooting off a message to let your smaller friend know you were on your way. Of course, you had to keep yourself in check and not let what had happened get to you. You’d figure it out another day. Right now it was about having fun with your friends.
The sound of a message pinging alerted the owner as round eyes looked at the content, smiling a little before locking their phone. Looking over their shoulder, they looked towards the corner where another figure could be just made out floating in the air. Standing, they grabbed their jacket and placed it on, getting ready to head downstairs and bid goodbye to their grandpa.
The floating figure took notice and vanished, only to reappear beside the smaller figure when he made it outside. Out of these visions he’d been having the one that had just happened felt the most real one yet. The poor spirit wished the world would swallow him whole when he caught his host poking at him, or where he was meant to be. After all, he was making some strange noises, noises even the smaller boy had never heard before. “Yugi, was this really necessary?”.
Looking to the side, the smaller figure smiled and nodded his head as he waited for their friend to appear. “Trust me Yami, (y/n) will be able to help, I know it!”.
As the mention of the name, another figure turned the corner and smiled waving to the lone figure standing outside the game shop. Looking up, the spirit could only blush slightly, coughing as he excused himself back into the walls of the puzzle. Much to the enjoyment of Yugi. It was time to get to the bottom of everything, even if a certain spirit was reluctant.
Walking briskly you came to a halt in front of Yugi and smiled, placing your hand on your hip and you fanned yourself from the slight heat. “Right, I’m here. You ready to go?”.
With a nod of his head, the two friends began to walk and talk about things. Enjoying the other's company, one of them completely unaware of the eyes on them as they walked. “Say Yugi, what was it you wanted to ask me earlier?”.
Oh yeah, the young male had forgotten about that. Coming to a stop, he looked at you and hesitated for a moment before deciding it was time to bite the bullet, asking you outright. “Oh yeah, so you know the spirit of the puzzle? Well, I was wondering if you would go to the Egyptian exhibit at Domino Museum with him? He’s trying to learn more about his past and I know how much you love history. Seems like a win-win if you can help him find something there”.
Looking to your side, you pondered on his words for a moment. You guessed it wouldn’t hurt to agree, it would get you out of your room and on a plus side, it was all about Ancient Egypt. A place that you seemed at ease about the more you learned, a place where you felt like you had belonged once in a past life. Letting out a small hum you nodded your head and smiled. “Sure, can’t turn down a good exhibit can I?”.
Your words seemed to delight the young male, a happy smile bright on his face as you both continued to walk to meet your friends. The spirit watched as he pondered over your words, a smirk appearing on his features. He guessed it wouldn’t hurt to give you a chance to help him, Yugi trusted you immensely with major stuff in his life and besides, he couldn’t shake the feeling that you were familiar to him in some way.

The day had started like every other, with you waving goodbye to your parents before running the short yet seemingly long distance to Lon Lon Ranch to spend time with your best friend, Malon. It had been one of your father’s trips to Castle Town for business where you met a red-haired girl humming a soft tune on the path leading to Hyrule Castle. Ever since that day, the two of you had become inseparable, letting the hours run away from you both until it was time for you to depart back to your village.
As the sound of the ranch she lived on drew nearer, your pace picking up slightly as you made quick work of the small hill that lead up into your second home. Passing by a few of the stables you heard the sounds of the cows inside, some of the sounds belonging to new lives that you all thanks the goddesses for. The circle track of the ranch came into view a few seconds later with the horse pen, the few horse they owned happily running around inside.
You could see Malon’s red hair as you approached but the sight of green beside her caught your attention. This was someone new, someone you certainly didn’t know. The childish jealousy struck you but you kept moving forward reaching the two figures as you stopped, hands clasped behind your back. Whatever they were talking about had stopped as Malon looked at you, squealing happily as she jumped on you, hugging tightly as you giggled with her. “Ohhh, (y/n), I have someone you need to meet!”.
Turning her attention behind her back she grabbed the hand of the other child, pulling them towards you. That’s when you could see this was a boy, dressed in green with a small fairy dancing around him. Tilting your head, you leant forward and looked him over as you reached out to poke his cheek. The action took him by surprise as he jumped back slightly, a small giggle slipping past your lips. “(Y/n), this is fairy boy! Fairy boy, this is my best friend (y/n)”.
Tilting your head to the other side, you gave a look of confusion as you looked at the small ball of light now by his head before showing a grin. “Fairy boy? That’s a funny name! I like it!”.
Seven long years had passed since meeting this boy dressed in green, seven years of darkness and despair wherever you looked. The once bustling Castle Town had been destroyed, leaving behind derelict buildings and rubble, once the shops that welcomed people from all over the kingdom. Now no one dared to venture to close, not only due to the horrid sight of the once peaceful Hyrule Castle but the ReDead’s that roamed the town.
All trade had been moved to the once quiet village of Kakariko, the place you grew up in becoming inhabited quickly than you could have ever imagined. While you were proud to be one of the villagers who helped the new inhabitants settle in, part of you wished to go back to simpler times, back to when you were a child with no care in the world, where everything was considered normal.
The day had began like every other, checking in on various villagers to see if they needed anything, offering a hand to those who needed it. Next were the animals that had been moved over, making sure they were fed and watered with the occasional stroke for good measure. There’d been some whispers of a rumour regarding what one of the old ladies has seen the other day on her way back from the ranch. A young man dressed in green taking out one of the few Poes who were scattered around the field.
Something about the mention of a man dressed in green nagged at you for some time but your chose to ignore it, picking up your shawl and basket. You had to run over to the ranch to grab some milk, not that you were thrilled about it but the usual person who went wasn’t well so you volunteered. Of course you were over the moon you got to see Malon but the journey there, that was what you dreaded the most. The stories of the Poes you heard had you feeling uneasy. Really uneasy.
Swallowing the lump in your throat, you took in a breath and waved off to some of the villagers, making the journey towards the place that was once responsible for the happier times in life.
One minute you were travelling back in the direction of your village, the next you were running in the opposite direction, trying your hardest to get rid of the group of Poes that were currently perusing you. If only you hadn’t stopped to chat to Malon for more than a minute, you would be nearly home with not a care in the world yet here you were, praying to the goddess that something or someone would interfere before you became one of the lost souls that was doomed to wander the field for eternity.
Skidding to a halt, you looked at the wall in front of you then to the side, a small opening just visible to you. If you could time it right, you would be high and dry until they gave up their chase, even if you had to wait out the night that was due to come. Looking over your shoulder, you saw the group come towards you. Taking off at a sprint, you gripped onto the basket praying you would make it. That was when you made the mistake of taking your eyes off the path ahead of you, looking back at them to see one disappear. Panic rose up in you as you saw the same Poe now appearing in front of you.
Stumbling over your feet slightly, you stopped and began to slowly walk back, breathing heavily as you began to feel the dread build up inside of you. Would it hurt? You heard people say that dying hurt, that you felt it run throughout every inch of your body before darkness took over, the goddesses welcoming you with open arms as you were into the afterlife, that was if you were one of the lucky ones. The rest were sent either somewhere else or doomed to roam their place of death until time ended. You felt so much regret at the the experiences you never had a chance to have. Here you were, all alone and so close to death.
Eyes landed on the lantern the Poe held, following as it was raised up and swung back, spinning around signalling it was close to its attack. Within seconds it began to move forward, spinning its lantern faster. Closing your eyes, you lifted your arms in an attempt to shield yourself. You knew deep down it was a pathetic attempt but you hoped, hoped that it would somehow save you. Bracing yourself, you finally accepted your fate as you waited for the lantern to collide with your head. Except that never came.
Peaking out from your crossed arms, you saw a flash of green before the Poe vanished into thin air, the others following within mere seconds. Blinking in confusion you dropped your arms slightly, taking in what had just happened. One minute you had been close to death, the next you were a confused mess. Looking up, you raised a hand and shielded your eyes, only to see a hand outstretched to you. Hesitating for a moment you reached out and grabbed it, finding yourself pulled to your feet. “You should be more careful you know, especially with those nuisances around here”.
The intrusion of the voice took you by surprise as you looked at your hero. Of course you knew you should be careful, you were more than aware of the fate you nearly endured. Still, it didn't mean whoever it was had to make you feel bad. Opening your mouth, you went to speak before deciding against it. Now was not the time, you had to get back home before everyone began to worry about you. Picking up your basket, you gripped the handle again and turned on your heel, preparing to make your way back towards Kakariko. Not before you looked over your shoulder. “Of course, forgive me for being so careless sir. Next time you’re around, please stop by Kakariko Village, I’d love to repay you for your heroics there”.
With a small smile you waved your hand and began to make your journey, not before he spoke making you stop in your tracks. You couldn’t quite make out what was said but you shrugged your shoulders none the less. A small ball of light flew past you and stopped, making a small tinkling noise as you tilted your head. A fairy? They were a rare kind, hardly ever seen unless it was with their chosen child of Kokiri Forest. It kind of reminded you of that day seven years ago when you went to visit Malon at the ranch, the fairy boy that was there, his fairy liked to make noises as it flew around.
A moment of realisation dawned on you as you turned around, now looking closer at the male in front of you. Dressed in green with a fairy, sounded awfully familiar to the young boy but the children of Kokiri never grew up so who was this? Taking a small step forward you placed a finger on your lip as you questioned silently. “Is that you fairy boy?”.
At the sound of the name, you could see what appeared to be the smallest of smiles tug at his lips. Something that showed you had gotten it correct. Yet you had so many questions, starting with how on earth he was grown up, it went against all logic. Of course, that meant he had a name, a name that you now wanted to know. As if sensing your question, he got on his horse and turned to face you, nudging the side of the steed to signal it was time to move. Not before speaking a few words, words that he knew you wanted to hear.

Loud shouts and chatter sounded as you wiped down a table ready for the next people who walked through the door to use. Things in Castle Town seemed to have been busier than usual judging by the number of soldiers and travellers in the bar. You could faintly make out some words but chose to ignore what was being said as you walked towards the front of the bar, wiping your hands on the towel at your hip. "H-Hey we *hic*~"
Rolling your eyes, you saw the soldier who shouted to you slump down onto the table in front of him, out cold, his group beside him poking and making fun of him for being a lightweight. You felt sorry for everyone in the bar in some way, they had fought in so many battles and they had so many upcoming ones that they just needed a bit of normality. Even if their normality was getting drunk and passing out. Scanning in the corner, you saw the slightly bent-over figure of the person you needed. Lifting your hands, you placed them on either side of your mouth, helping your voice carry over the ruckus. "Telma! We've got another one here!".
Upon hearing their name, the figure stood upright and looked over, a smirk tugging at their lips as they placed a hand on their hip. "Is that so, (y/n)? Well then, I better make sure they're on their way".
A wink accompanied their words as you laughed out, whispering "thank you" to the woman as she passed. You hadn't been in Hyrule for long and you had somehow managed to find somewhere in the bustling Castle Town. The view of Hyrule Castle right outside of your window was one that still took your breath away, even if you saw it daily. You tried hard to get a job, something to help you live but every place you tried was either not looking or didn't want a young woman working for them. The first time you heard their words you almost cursed the goddesses for being a woman but decided to smile and walk away, mentally cursing the small-minded people instead. You'd given up hope when you found yourself in the southernmost alley of the town. You just happened to notice the door and it piqued your interest, deciding to try your luck, you walked in and before you knew it you had been hired.
Safe to say you hadn't looked back and you thanked your lucky stars that Telma gave you a chance. After all, you were extremely popular with the young soldiers and travellers, in more ways than one. While it flattered you, you weren't interested. Not because you didn't want their attention, but because you were happy living your life as it was, besides no one had caught your attention. Not yet anyway.
Letting out a yawn, you wiped the bar and placed the few glasses that had been left in the sink, being sure to note to come back to them after you'd done another sweep of the bar to make sure you'd not missed any on the tables. There were only a few stragglers left but you didn't mind staying late than normal, especially when a certain cat kept you company behind the bar. Besides, Telma was expecting someone and asked you to let her know when they had arrived. After picking up a few more glasses, you headed back to your place behind the bar and set the items in your hands at the sink. The ringing of the bell above the bar door made you turn around, offering a bright smile to whoever walked in. "Welcome to Tel~".
Tilting your head in confusion, you looked around and back at the door, shrugging your shoulds when you saw no one new. Deciding it was possibly one of the few who were left inside leaving, you turned around and looked down at the feline at your feet before you began to wash the glasses. "You know, I'm sure I'm losing it slowly, Lousie".
The white cat just looked up at you and meowed, before she stood and stretched, plopping back down and curling herself back up in a ball. Letting out a small laugh, you hummed softly to yourself not paying much attention to the person who had stepped up to the bar, their eyes watching you carefully for a moment, taking in what you were doing and how you interacted with the feline at your side. They could have stayed there all day if they wanted but they had other matters to attend to. "Excuse me miss, can you tell Telma I'm here to see her now".
The sudden intrusion of the words made you jump, your grip on the cloth in your hands tightening as you felt your soul almost leave you. Placing the piece of fabric down, you wiped your hands and turned around, almost ready to give the person a piece of your mind until you met their eyes. Cliché as it sounds but time felt like it had stopped. You'd never seen eyes so blue in your life. Everything seemed to fade away, all there was in your vision was the male who seemed to be staring back at you. It took a moment for your brain to catch up with what he had said, blinking a few times to bring yourself back around. "Huh? Ohh, yeah. L-Let me just grab her for you~".
Walking quickly from behind the bar you walked to a small booth at the side and placed your hands on the table to make yourself known. Of course, Telma was busy with some business but you had your ways of making it known you were there. "Telma, there's someone here to see you".
Peaking from your side, the bar owner looked at the male who stood beside the bar, a bright smile shone on her face when she caught his attention and motioned him over. Looking over your should, you moved to the side when he reached the table and let him slide in as he seated himself down. "Thank you, (y/n). Can you bring us a couple of the special?".
Nodding your head, you smiled softly as walked back towards the area you had come from, feeling eyes on you as you moved.
Doing as you were asked, you brought two glasses over and bowed, excusing yourself to finish cleaning up after the rest of the bargoers left. You hated to admit it but curiosity tried to get the better of you a few times, wondering what business Telma had with this guy. It was nothing to do with you but you wanted to observe him a little more, as selfish as it sounded. You didn't know how long they were talking but soon the sound of Telma beside you at the bar brought you out of your little daydream. "Thank you for staying a little longer, that took a bit more time than I thought.".
Humming you nodded your head and stretched, placing your hands behind your back and untying your apron. It had been a long shift, not that you minded but you were ready to go home and curled up in bed. As if on cue, a yawn left your mouth and you shrunk down slightly in embarrassment, much to the amusement of the older woman. "Go on love, off you go. Take the day off tomorrow, you deserve it and don't worry, you'll still be paid".
Blinking, she must have somehow read your mind but you smiled nonetheless, nodding your head as you gave her a hug, bidding farewell to both her and Louise. Grabbing your cloak, you wrapped it around you and stepped outside the bar's door and carefully shut the door behind you. The cool Hyrulian air hugged what skin was exposed as a sigh of contentment passed your lips. Lifting your hood, you heard the sound of the door opening behind you moving to let the person aside as you slipped your arms under the material that now covered you. That's when a hand on your shoulder made you look and you were face to face with those eyes again. "Oh, it's you. Hope you had a good meeting with Telma, whatever it was about".
Offering a soft smile to the male, you removed your hand from under your cloak and lifted it up, holding it out for him to shake. "I'm (y/n) if you hadn't already guessed earlier and you are?".
The male looked at you and gave a small smirk, taking a hold of your hand and lifting it you his lips, placing a soft kiss on the back of it. You felt like a fire had been lit on your face as you watched him closely. After a lingering few seconds, he placed your hand back at your side and smiled, waving to you as he walked off up the stairs. Looking at your hand, you blocked before looking back at the retreating figure. He hadn't told you his name and you'd be damned if he left without telling you. Rushing forward, you ran up the steps quickly just in time to catch him a few steps in front of you in the alley. "Hey! You didn't tell me your name, bluey".
The male stopped in his tracks and looked over his shoulder, something about the way he looked at you made you gasp. Was it the nickname you'd given him there due to his eyes or was it something else? You could see the somewhat inner debate before he continued to walk slowly, lifting his hand almost as if he was trying to stop you from following like he sensed you were trying to do just that.

Hello my lovely followers!
It's been a long time since I posted something on here.
I've been quiet on the posting front for a reason and I feel like I owe some form of explanation for my sudden disappearance.
TRIGGER WARNING - mention of death/passing.
Back in September my papa ended up being admitted into hospital with severe heath issues and that's where he stayed until he passed peacefully with me by his side in early November.
Since then I've had a lot of things to deal with including going back to work and getting back into a normal routine. Small victories help but I have an extremely long way to go yet.
While I don't feel ready to post to Tumblr yet, I have began posting on archive so if you would like to keep up with my works please head on over to there (link below) and see what I have posted. Give me a follow as well if you like to!
Hopefully I’ll be back soon and posting but for now I hope life is treating you all well and don't forget you're all beautiful souls who make someone's day 100% better.
Until the next post lovelies 🖤🖤🖤🖤

Spring - the time of rebirth, regrowth, resurrection, renewal and rejuvenation.
A time of pureness to become more prominent in the already dim world.
A season this is known for frequent rainfalls; washing away the hard time before it arrived.
The perfect time for change and a fresh start - in all aspects of life.
A fluff of white hair nestled beside your head, an arm draped over your torso. Soft snoring sounded throughout the room. Small noises sounded now and then until the two of you began to stir.
"Morning beautiful~".
A rough-sounding voice caught you off-guard in your sleepy state but it wasn't too long before you smiled, lifting your eyes towards turquoise ones with a slight giggle.
"Morning handsome~".
A frustrated sigh slipped out of your mouth as you looked out the window. Your fingers trailed along the various paths the small droplets took as they slid on the transparent surface. You hoped the rainfall would have eased up but unfortunately, it hadn't. Your plans for a date day out with Touya were officially thwarted.
A pair of eyes watched your face drop in slight defeat before the figure walked up to you, wrapping their arms around you from behind. Letting out a small sigh, your body automatically leant into his form. "I know how much you wanted to go out today, (y/n), but it's okay. As long as I spend time with you, I don't care where we are".
Looking upwards at him, you smiled softly albeit in defeat, and cupped his face with your hand, thumb running over the skin on his cheek. "I know, but still I had-".
Your head was guided round as the taller male leant down, silencing your protests with a delicate kiss. One that seemed to do the trick.
Lively music echoed throughout the house, the soft drumming of rain still audible along with some heartfelt laughter. The two of you had decided to do a bit of spring cleaning to pass the time and that had somehow included some bad dancing; mainly on Touya's part.
Looking over your shoulder you saw him looking out the window, slightly distracted. "The perfect opportunity for a surprise kiss".
Slowly creeping over, taking care to be as silent as physically possible, you eventually reached his side. Fingers tapping the white head's shoulder.
Touya looked over his shoulder before he turned his head, only to be met by a small yet loving kiss. His hand gripped yours as he pulled you closer, the contact lasting for a moment before you pushed yourself off with a wink, going back to whatever you were cleaning.
So began your little kissing game - who could surprise the other the most with each kiss.
Both of you said the other had won when you eventually finished your housework.
The light from the tv flickered over the two figures not resting on the couch; your head in Touya's lap while his fingers ran through your hair. You both relaxed in comfortable silence, the faint noises of the tv and rain in the background. "(y/n)?".
Tilting your head back, you looked up and hummed slightly. "Yeah?".
The was a moment of silence, just the two of you looking at each other. "I enjoyed today, even if it's not what you had in mind".
Looking you over Touya brought his hand down, running his thumb over your cheek, cupping it soon after. "The rain might have put a dampener on things, but I got to spend time with you regardless".
A smile graced your face as you placed your hand on top of his, your thumb stroking the back of his hand. Leaning over Touya placed a soft kiss on your lips, his other hand cupping your other cheek. A sweet kiss was returned for a moment before lips parted slightly parted. "I love you, Mrs Todoroki".
A faint reddening appeared on your face as you hummed out contently. Smiling, your face nuzzling into his hands, eyes closing with a contented hum. "I love you too, Mr Todoroki".

Damn it. Period. - k. bakugou 🌹
a/n; originally a request on wattpad - a little mini about what bakugou would be like when reader is on her period. enjoy!
pairing; Katsuki Bakugou x female! reader

headcanon/summary; it’s not your week. your body is punishing you heavily with both your period and feeling sick with the cold. don’t worry though, because your hotheaded boyfriend is to the rescue. It doesn't seem like it but he has all the patience in the world, well, he does when it comes to you.

A pained moan slipped past your lips as you tucked your knees under your chin, hands slightly hugging your hips as you breathed through the pain. A somewhat feeble attempt to help dull the pain due to the congestion your body held.
Your week had started off great, enjoying your classes at UA, as well as spending time with your friends. That was until you were struck down with a cold a few days prior. As the pain ebbed, you let out a contented sigh before an unexpected coughing fit. Before long, you closed your eyes, the increase in your temperature taking you by slight surprise. Moving the book beside you, you felt the weight of the hardcover shift as a shiver ran up your spine. The tingling spreading to all areas of your form.
Normally, you'd be struck with your period and would handle it with no complications. Not giving away any sign of the pain you were in. Lately, you’d been training so hard that you stupidly neglected yourself, paying the price when you caught the flu off your classmate. Once the cramp you had calmed down, you made a half-assed attempt to get out of bed before groaning out at the secondary spams hitting you full force again. "Fuck it".
Grabbing your phone you tapped a quick message, albeit it was a bit harsh to your other half before you laid down. Turning over, you closed your eyes again trying to get some more sleep before they returned home.
With a push of his foot, Bakugou shut the door and sighed out softly, gripping the bag in his hand as he took off his shoes and jacket. He knew you'd been feeling a little under the weather lately but add your period on top as it was a sure recipe for disaster. "Hey, (y/n), I'm home!".
A random sound greeted him as he rolled his eyes, heading up the stairs to find your curled up form in your shared bed. "Suki~".
Dropping the bag of sweet treats on the bedside cabinet, he crawled under the covers beside you, letting out a small "oof" as you practically threw yourself on him. "Suki, it hurts~".
A small whimper left your lips as Bakugou wrapped his arms around you, kissing the top of your head. "I know princess, but it'll pass. I'm here now".
Unusually soft kisses with gentle tummy rubs as tiny whimpers of pain sounded. That’s how Bakugou spent most of the evening and night making you feel slightly better about the assault of bodily pains you felt.
Everyone who knew Bakugou knew him as a loud and aggressive human grenade. Probably someone you wanted to keep on the good side of, that would be if he had a good side, and who you’d want fighting your side.
Then there was you - the one person he would call his better half, his light.
You got the softer side. The soft voice, the gentle hugs and touches. He treated you like a fragile doll that he never wants to break. You were perfect and his world, he had all the patience in the universe for you.
Soft hums that lulled you to sleep as gentle fingers glided over your hair with a soft voice to match the unusual gentleness.
Peering down, his red eyes looked over your sleeping form as a smile tugged at his lips, something that didn’t feel foreign to him now. "I know you don't feel well, princess, but I'll be here to look after you".
He gently moved his body to lay down beside you. His soft grip on you never slacking as he hugged you closer, sleep taking over him as he acted as your human heat pad.
It was a long week for you but you could always count on your very own hero to be there to save you from the pain. Even if it was only in private where no one could see.

"Good morning, (y/n)!".
A sudden yet bright voice caught your attention as you looked around the hallway, smiling softly when you eventually found the owner in amongst the crowds. Lifting your hand, you waved to them as you approached the person and the small group surrounding them. Usually, you'd walk with your friends but today, after what happened, you decided to take a detour and walk a different and longer route to get there. Something that helped you immensely whenever you needed to reset your mind and thoughts.
“Good morning, Yugi!".
A petite male rubbed the back of his head as he smiled at your greeting making you smile as you started chatting away to you about various subjects you both shared today. Even if he was slightly behind due to forgetting someone of the work needed that counted towards the final grade of the year.  With a warm smile, you patted him gently on the shoulder, words of encouragement sounding from you as told him not to worry, he'd have no problems catching up. A subtle shade of pink showed on his cheeks as you giggled, taking a second to elbow Joey in the gut in response to the words you caught him muttering. All while that smile never left your face. "That's a warning. Next time, I'll make sure I go lower than that, m'kay?".
The groan you got in response from the blonde made you snort slightly as you turned to your locker, placing what you needed in as you sorted yourself out for the day ahead, changing your shoes and grabbing your books. The sound of your locker closing was drowned out by the shouts of your friends encouraging you to catch up. Looking to your side, you saw Yugi waiting. With a smile, you nodded your head and walked forward, heading to the first room of the day.
Stern-like unseen eyes watched you closely as their owner tried to convince themselves, the more they saw you, that you were a mere coincidence. That all the years, millennia even, they had been locked away has made them a little too out of touch with everything. Of all the places in the world, you happened to be right where their vessel and partner were. The likeness was unbelievably strong the more they saw you. It was madness, they were sure of it. This modern world had played tricks on their mind. For what felt like months they had been plagued by dreams and visions of a past life, a life they can't remember living. Yet they somehow felt familiar to them.
Two souls who were connected in more ways than one, even something as strong as time couldn't keep them apart had been something that they had overheard the young host and his grandpa talking about but it wasn’t true, was it?
The semi-soft breeze mixed with the setting sun made for a perfect alone moment as the Kingdom’s citizens began to slowly wind down ready to rest for the night. Their tomorrows consisted of the same old but enjoyable routines. One of the many things they wouldn't change about their village.
Gentle eyes surveyed around again as hands rested on the wall in front of them. A gentle hum sounded as they took a moment to enjoy being just a regular person, away from the hustle and bustle of the building behind them. Life had been a bit of a whirlwind and to say it was hard to adjust was a slight understatement. From being a normal village girl and the unconventional best friend of the young Prince to being his wife came as a challenge. The whispers from the darkest parts and those who didn't support them reached her every so often but not one she was about to back down. She made sure she was going to show everyone who was in the wrong and it certainly wasn't her. Even when the ones who despised the young Pharaoh would try to drip nothing but lies into the innocent citizen's ears, they chose to ignore them. After all, they all adored everything about the young couple. "(e/n)?".
Looking over her shoulder at the sound of her name the young woman smiled and stood upright, manoeuvring herself to lean against the wall she has been looking over a few moments before. Her soft smile never left as the second figure joined her. Looking to her side, she placed her hand on his and offered a small squeeze at the look he wore. "My Pharaoh, I thought you were still busy with plans for the new moon ahead?".
Raising a brow the young king rolled his eyes slightly at the greeting from his wife, taking a moment to pull her into him so she faced him. He could tell this was all still new to her, that she was frightened she’d slip up at some point, despite everything that they discussed in the days leading up to and after their wedding. Still, old habits die old and she'd been so used to addressing him in another matter for so long. "(e/n), I said it was okay to use my name when we are alone. I know it's still scary but trust me, my lotus, you're doing amazingly so please, stop fretting yourself".
A hand cupped her cheek as she closed her eyes, letting a soft sight slip past her lips. He was right but still, she felt out of place like she didn't belong at all. Some of the rumours surrounding her sudden arrangements took her by surprise, like how she was nothing but a common whore who'd managed to seduce the young King to get what she wanted. Slipping into his bed to trap him for an eternity, ensuring no one else would be able to take his heart. She tried not to let them bother her but sometimes, it felt a little too much for her. "I know, ---, it's just I feel a little out of place sometimes. Plus the rumours, they don't help much. It's like I don't belong here. I~".
A thumb over her lips helped hush her words for a moment, eyes softening as she looked at the ones that she fell in love with many years ago. Her heart hurt, almost feeling as if it could shatter to pieces at the misery she has caused daily for the Pharaoh but yet, there he was still by her side regardless. "If you didn't belong here then I wouldn't have fought so hard to have you ruling by my side, fought so hard to have no one other than you as my wife, regardless of everything that was thrown at me in terms of laws besides~".
His voice trailed off for a moment, a brief pause as his hand moved down her side and over the skin of her torso, resting on her stomach just above where he hoped for their future to begin. Soft touches of anticipation for the next chapter of their lives. "If the Gods bless us, I wouldn't want to start the next chapter of my life with anybody else, my lotus".
"Yami? Are you okay there?".
The sudden intrusion of the voice of his host caught the spirit by surprise. He didn't expect him to still be standing in an almost empty hallway while their group of friends had walked up ahead. Usually, the small boy would have walked ahead but the fact the spirit of his puzzle was almost frozen in mid-air made him worry a little more than he would have normally if there was something wrong. Blinking a few times, the spirit come around and looked at the young boy, holding that same stern gaze he had what felts like hours ago. "I am. Please don't worry yourself, Yugi".
Narrowing his eyes slightly, Yugi looked to where the spirit of his puzzle was. He knew, better than anyone else at this point, that the spirit had been having a hard time lately. Not only could he hear him muttering to himself at times, but due to their connection through the Millennium Puzzle, he could also feel what he was feeling. Something seemed to be bothering him but he couldn't place his finger on it just yet. Still, he was determined to get to the bottom of why the other him was feeling the way he was. "Are you sure? Just you seemed to be distracted when (y/n) showed up". The sweet boy, the spirit could appreciate the concern of his. He'd be worried too if it was the other way around, but for now, until he was more sure of what was happening, he wouldn't weigh him down with his concerns. Even if it took a few more months, or even longer, to figure things out then he would keep that to himself. Besides, he couldn't let it affect his host too much, he had enough to be dealing with. "I'm fine, I'm sure. It's something I need to figure out for myself first, so please, don't worry yourself Yugi".
Offering a rare smile, the spirit retreated to the confines of the Millennium puzzle, more so to his mind room. Taking in a breath, Yami let it out softly as he began looking around again, he felt like he was at home but not at the same time. Walking forward, he opened a door of one of the many rooms and took a set upon the soft furnishing inside. Something about those memories seemed familiar to him but something wasn't right, something more was missing. He couldn't place his finger on it just yet. Could these dreams and visions be of a life he once lived with someone who looked similar to (y/n)?
Not that he could remember much, all there was for him was a blank whenever he tried to look further back. His most recent memories go back to the day that Yugi had solved the puzzle, the day his spirit awoke from the cold darkness he had felt for so long. Deciding not to dwell on it too much, he shrugged it off. He'd try and figure it out another day. Perhaps Yugi knew some way of helping him remember his past a little more. Whatever that could be, he knew it was a starting point but he would bring it up later.
Right now, he just wanted to spend some time alone and away from everyone. That he did, unaware that the very girl he kept seeing felt and saw the same things he did.

chapter summary; when dreams of what has happened to the once queen of Egypt have been plaguing for months, each one feeling more real than the next - this one, the most real one yet.

A gentle hum of chatter carried on the soft breeze in a bustling Egyptian village. Vendors sold goods of all kinds from food to clothes, and everything in between. The laughter of children could be heard ever so slightly above the chatter as they ran around, carefree of the life they lived. Making the most of who they were with and what they had.
The smaller child of the group looked up towards the palace that stood like a fancy decoration against the blue sky, more so to the balcony where the Pharaoh and his new Queen had been presented only a week ago. The festivities had only just died down, much to the disappointment of a few as they could go on for many more moons to come. Their eyes caught a glimpse of a figure standing there, quietly observing the village and everyone below.
"Hey! Look! It's the Queen!".
The other children that were running around stopped in their tracks and gazed up in the direction their friend was pointing, cheering and waving to the figure. From her position on the balcony, the new Queen tilted her head slightly before she let out a small giggle and waved back, much to the delight of the small group.
It had only been a week since she and the Pharaoh had wed and had been presented as the new King and Queen of Egypt. To say she couldn't be any happier even if she tried right now was an understatement. She was adored not only by her husband but by the people of their country. Something that warmed her deeply.  The feeling of strong arms wrapping around her waist caused her to shift her gaze, blinking in surprise when she met another's eyes. An ever so soft and small kiss was placed on her cheek causing her to smile, leaning further back into the body behind her. "Here you are my love, I thought you were hiding from me".
The words made her smile as she turned, coming face to face with the person who had joined her, her hand resting on the male's chest. Leaning up, she placed a soft kiss on his lips before resting her other hand on his arm. Taking a moment to enjoy the feeling of being back in her lover's arms and away from the bustle of the palace. "How could I hide from you my Pharaoh? Call me selfish but I wanted to see the view again. Besides, I think I made some children very happy".
The young King tilted his head in slight confusion at her words before he found himself guided to look at the village below. The same kids were still waving as the pair waved back, earning louder cheers as the small group ran off. Much to the delight of the Queen. No doubt they were off to tell their parents what had happened. "See, I told you. Aren't they adorable? They get so much joy from seeing us acknowledge them".
The silence around the pair was comfortable and felt right. Soft kisses soon littered the young woman's neck as she bit her lip, chewing back the sinful sounds that wanted to escape. Her hand slipped down and gripped the side of the tunic the young King wore. Her eyes closed for a moment as she felt herself starting to slip, and once that happened, they both knew it wouldn't be long before they were disappearing from the sight of others. "Hmmm, what seems to be the problem, my King?".
The kisses soon seized as the head of the young King rested on her shoulder as he hummed out for a moment. An inner battle made him wonder if he should tell her or not. Of course, they'd known each other for many years, playing together as children and watching the other grow into who they were now. Yet this though was one of the more nerve-racking ones he had. "I was just thinking about the kind of mother you'd be to our children".
A soft yet playful elbow in his gut made the Pharaoh laugh as he turned his wife around to face him, arms holding her close as he took in the fake shocked look on her face.  "Are you suggesting you'd like me to be with child, ---?".
The young male blushed and stuttered a little, trying to find a way to justify his words or find something else to talk about causing his wife to giggle at his sudden shyness. The sheer delight she had in her eyes made him relax, words were no longer needed as they both stood looking at each other. "———, relax please. I told you I'm ready whenever you are. Nothing would make me happier".
Gentle kisses to her forehead made her smile, her eyes closing to enjoy the closeness again. Everything was perfect. She couldn't have asked for a better life even if she tried. Sure there were those who still objected to the two of them being together, that the young King deserved some Princess from another Kingdom as it would not only strengthen the bonds of the Kingdom but ensure the bloodline remained pure. Of course, their words got to her, given she was a lowly commoner until a few moons ago when she was introduced as the soon-to-be wife of the Pharaoh. None of that mattered right now as long as she had her husband by her side. Not their words, their cruel remarks, their looks. She had everything she needed and more in front of her.
The sudden rumble of the ground caused the two to quickly part, cracks slowly becoming visible beneath the pair. Soon pieces of brick began to fall, creating a gap between the two lovers.
A sudden low yet loud rumble of the ground caused the two figures to quickly part, eyes glancing down as cracks slowly became visible beneath the pair. Pieces of brick began to fall, creating a small gap between the two of them. Eyes cast down as the rumble seemed to shake the young Queen to the core,  her eyes widening as the flooring beneath her gave way.
Everything seemed to slow down as she felt her body falling, everything passing in a blur as her hand reached up, fingers brushing with the hand she tried to cling to. The last noise she heard above her screams was the agonising cry of her husband who slowly vanished from her view until all she saw was the darkness. That darkness that they had been told about since time began.
The scream seemed to echo around you as you jolted up, sheets gathering loosely around your waist as you breathed heavily, heart racing wildly threatening to tear through your very chest with each beat. Placing a hand over where your heart was you tried to calm yourself with deep breaths as you closed your eyes again. Trying to make sense of everything that had happened. Just like the dreams you'd have falling asleep, where you felt like you were falling and jolt suddenly, this one had felt a little too real at the end.
For weeks, if not months, you had been plagued by these dreams each one seeming more real than the one before it. Each night you had one, you'd wake in a mess, panting and sweating with whatever you had covering you in a crumpled mess somewhere between the lower half of your body and the bottom of the bed. At first, you thought it was down to the heat in the room as well as an overactive imagination but the more it happened, the less plausible your idea seemed. It was hard to describe but each one seemed physically real. Like you were there then you weren't. The actions of the person whose eyes you were looking through were your own but at the same time, they weren't.
Another strange thing about these dreams was the male who you often saw. You couldn't quite shake the feeling that he was someone you knew yet, for whatever reason, he remained a stranger to you. Then there was his name, whenever you seemed to speak it in these dreams it came out in silence. That struck you as odd but the male seemed to respond to it meaning he heard it every time it was spoken. Letting out a soft sigh, you pushed what remained of the blankets back and slipped out of bed, walking over to your desk. There lay a journal, a journal that you kept all of the recent happenings in to help you try and make sense of what was going on at some point further down the road. Grabbing a pan, you quickly jotted down a log of what you could remember before closing the cover and placing the pen back.
Glancing at the clock on your table you noticed it wouldn't be long before you had to get ready for your day. Stretching you sighed softly at the small pops and cracks you felt, your mind and body feeling more awake as you decided to get ready and make a head start on what was to come. As you dressed you hummed a tune to yourself your mind forgetting what had occurred during your sleep. As you walked out the door, you locked it behind you and made your way to school, unaware of another being haunted by dreams of life once passed.

Let’s gather the ingredients we need 🪴
Tumblr media
All the herbs you could ever need and more are placed on a table in front of you, more spread out on two other tables that are for other herbs. Picking up the one you’re most drawn to, you smile before learning how it can be used to help enhance your journey..
Each herb you touched had a million different uses - perhaps you needed a bit of help to decide. The list on your side seemed to be a good place to stay.

"Can I kiss you?”.
Blinking in confusion for a moment, you tilted your head at the male in front of you as the words processed in your head. Had you heard right? Surely you hadn’t. Maybe it was your mind playing tricks on you. Humming out slightly, you held your hand out in front of you for him to take before stepping forward.
