poetry + prose that i wrote during rachel's stream yesterday ! both are meant to be from the POV of Vivian Monroe, the protagonist of Wicked Work (a novella in the New Haven "universe")

deity: notfound

black leaves on rotted trees

drift down to open palms

we are belief

we are faith

we are lies

half-truths on deaf ears

listen, listen

silence blackens your teeth

spott-ed vision, blurr-ed eyes

we are demise

we are the sharp incision

cut it open, make it bleed

rotted trees from blackened seed

He believes that salvation will be found in the roots of my soul. He digs his dirt-caked nails deep into my abdomen, searching for that holy place. I tell him, ain’t nothing about the soul worth wanting by god. Least of all mine. The soul is supposed to be some amalgamation of all that we are, all that we want, all that we could be. I try to tell him, there’s too much of us to fit in some unknown pit of our guts.

Still, he’s on his knees, elbows deep in bile and intestines. He’s looking up at me like I could answer all the prayers he don’t want me to hear. He wants me to be something exotic, something foreign, something fantasy enough that it’ll rub off on him, give him something interesting, something to like about himself. He’s cute when consumed, so I don’t bother telling him I’m just normal.

Be a decent human so racists, sexists, or discriminatory behavior means an automatic block.

I will not take requests on incest, pedo stuff, and things of a similar nature with a ten foot pole even for a million bucks. Dark content will be tagged appropriately.

You enter an old, abandoned theater house, on a whim quite frankly. People never talk much about this place, at least not younger souls. It's always those wiser, much more experienced people that speak fondly of the place, but when your friends ask what makes it so special they can never find the words.

Beautiful reds line the halls, faintly brighter than stains of crimson sin. Golden accents which bring a special sparkle to it. A slight musky smell. Not one speck of dust. Despite the stories of it being left to rot years ago, it seems to be decently well maintained. As if something couldn't bare to leave.

"Welcome to my theater hall." A soft voice appears from nowhere as you turn to face the mysterious speaker. You didn't hear any steps or signs of another person. "I am Ota, the humble director and manager of this fine establishment."

A pale, sickly thin hand stretches out as an offer to shake their hand. You take it and it feels cold. Still some traces of warmth but it's just that. Traces.

"Is there anything your heart desires?" The words dance in the air entrapping you.

You felt like you were floating.

I try to uplift other writers on here when I am on and like to consider myself in the community even if not well known due to my schedule, but the submission guidelines seem to say that since I am a published author who does self promote I cannot join. Am I incorrect?

Thanks for your question. We're responding to this publically in order to provide some clarity, particularly addressing the assumption that "since I am a published author who does self promote I cannot join"

Nowhere does it say published authors (including those who self promote) are banned from joining. Quoting directly from the submission guidelines:

We’re welcoming of all writeblrs, and the majority of submissions are accepted! However, from time to time, some submissions are rejected. This is usually due to one of the following: Self-promotion. If your submission is heavily skewed towards finding readers, making sales, or self-promotion, your profile may be rejected.

By "heavily skewed towards finding readers, making sales, or self-promotion" we mean constantly sharing the link to your book/s, without any other form of content.

The writeblr directory is dedicated to connecting writers who want to network, make friends, and support one another. This is our main focus - creating a community. We're not the place to drive sales or promote low-quality spam profiles.

Finally, everyone is welcome to submit. As we mention in the submission guidelines, the vast majority of profiles are accepted. This specific guideline was created because we had a minority of submissions from spam blogs who spammed links to their books in their profile and on their blog.

💚 「 ㅤㅤㅤㅤ 」 ["namak næti" means "nameless" in sinhala] - another non-human. it/its. 💜 Axiom Angel's "narrative foil". has the same capabilities as 💜 Axiom Angel. goal: to watch over 💜 Axiom Angel, and to soothe her when she needs it. appearance: imperceptible to humans in its base form. profile picture is what it looks like to 💜 Axiom Angel. (a/n: sort of inspired by xiao from genshin impact.)

💝 Muse - human. she/her. goal: TBA, but undeniably related to her lover (🤍 Sea). appearance: south-east asian features/brown skintone with long curly pink hair that fades into blue tips. (a/n: inspired by mizi from alien stage.)

🤍 Sea - human. she/her. goal: TBA, but undeniably related to her lover (💝 Muse). appearance: caucasian features/pale skintone with short straight black hair and green eyes. (a/n: inspired by sua from alien stage.)

(a/n: original art is of nahida from genshin impact, which can be found here.)

🃏 Axiom Angel (Humanoid Adult Form) ["hārlekvin" means "harlequin" in sinhala] - this is still 💜 Axiom Angel, but they have taken on the form of an adult human. they/them. goal: to spend time with 💚 「 ㅤㅤㅤㅤ 」, and explore the world with it, to see it happy. appearance: as depicted in profile picture, blue eyes, and blue tipped braids in a dressy bard outfit. the only difference between the art and actuality is they have brown skin. (a/n: inspired by venti from genshin impact.)

🐈‍⬛ 「 ㅤㅤㅤㅤ 」 (Cat Form) [as said before, "namak næti" means "nameless", and "baḷalā" means "cat" in sinhala] - this is still 💚 「 ㅤㅤㅤㅤ 」, but it has taken on the form of a cat. it/its. goal: to just exist without responsibility, to play, and to be taken care of by 💜/🐦/🧸/🃏 Axiom Angel. appearance: as depicted in profile picture, a black (purple hued) cat with wide eyes. (a/n: inspired by scarameow from genshin impact.)

🌬️ 「 ㅤㅤㅤㅤ 」 (Humanoid Adult Form) [as said before, "namak næti" means "nameless", and "viklapa" means "alternative" in sinhala] - this is still 💚 「 ㅤㅤㅤㅤ 」, but he has taken on the form of a humanoid adult. he/him. goal: to wander alone, or to wander the mortal plane with 🃏 Axiom Angel. appearance: short purple hued hair, and purple eyes. large hat. as depicted in profile picture. (a/n: inspired by scaramouche from genshin impact.)

insomnia and the mild hypomania that i always get right before my mood stabilizers actually stabilize my mood have joined teams to kick my fucking ass the past five days. thankfully had a long weekend off from work and then i also called out sick yesterday so four of these days i have been able to sleep in after FINALLY managing to fall asleep, but today i had to be up for my first shift at 5 am and by 4 i realized trying to sleep wasn’t going to do anything and therefore i have been awake for ~36 hours and still am not tired?

anyways, i have a plan to try and make myself fall asleep despite not feeling tired in the slightest but if you see me making a new writeblr intro post at 2 am my time, please consider: no you fucking don’t <3

Writing Directory and Info!

Welcome to my writeblr!

My name is Fayte, and he or she pronouns are both fine. My biggest writing projects are fantasy with elements of drama, romance, and horror, interwoven with found family, enemies to friends, a journey to the underworld, coming of age (adult), an unseen and blazing angel, grieving, the bond between siblings, and some monsters. For Tumblr, I have a selection of hero/villain content available (including two longer-form stories) and a smattering of other short, original fiction. There’s also some vampires and a handful of prompts to be seen.

My own writing is tagged as "Fayte writes". I use content warnings somewhat generously, and if I ever feel something is especially detailed/descriptive, it will be listed as a trigger warning. I am ask and tag game friendly, even when I’m really slow answering them. Asks are under the tag "can I ax you something?" I’m trying to get back into drawing, so feel free to ask me about that, too.

Future, Rural, Hope: A farmer and his robot are making the best out of a tough situation.
