Danny ran away.
The classic reveal didn’t go right/ the GIW is hunting to him/ everyone is dead. You pick.
He’s alone. In Gotham. With nothing.
Staying in the city makes sense, right? Except for the crazy rogues he doesn’t want to get involved in or the straight up normal humans dressing up to fight them. Danny wasn’t touching that with a 10 foot pole. So he travelled further to the outskirts where he hoped to find a cabin some rich family only stays in for the summer.
Instead he finds rich mansions hidden back in the trees with big tall gates keeping everyone out. Most had people living there (he checked), all except for this one.
He’s only seen a kid, maybe ten, go in and out for school and sneaking out late at night.
Danny thinks he’s smart, sneaking in to snag some food and rest a bit when he knows the kid is gone. He doesn’t account for if the boy comes back earlier than normal.
Wide, surprised eyes meet wide, panicked eyes. Danny doesn’t even shove the next bite of Mac and Cheese in his mouth before he’s booking it to the nearest window.
“Wait!” Danny doesn’t wait. “You don’t have to go!”
Danny slows to a stop. Um, what?
He turns to give the boy a look but he doesn’t cringe back. The kid steps forward, almost impulsively.
“You’re the one who’s been stealing food and sleeping in the guest bedroom in the west wing, right?”
How the heck did he know where Danny was taking a nap? He always made sure to fix the bed when he left.
The boy continues without any answer.
“You don’t have to keep hiding. You can stay. I’ll provide you food and clothes and you can pick whatever room you want to stay in.”
Danny doesn’t know what’s gotten into the kid, but he suddenly feels flat footed and so off balanced.
“Why?” He asks incredulously. Why do all that for him? Why trust a strange teenager in his home? Why bother with him? He’s obviously homeless and has been stealing from him.
The boy’s lips thin slightly like he doesn’t want to say. Like he’s embarrassed.
Instead he says, “You had dozens of chances to steal any of the priceless artifacts in this house, but instead you only steal enough food for yourself and to rest.”
Okay. Yea, that was technically true and he could see the boy is thinking he figured out Danny’s personality by just that (it reminds him of Jazz how confident the kid is), but that doesn’t mean he’s trustworthy!
He goes to tell the kid off for thinking he knows anything about some random teen that keeps breaking into his house, but then notices the way the boy is holding himself.
“You’re hurt.”
The boy jolts like he wasn’t expecting Danny to notice at all. He looks down and adjusts his weight a bit.
“Uh…”
“Did you twist your ankle?” Danny guesses.
The boy mutely nods, looking at him with wide eyes with too much emotion to decipher.
“Well come sit down, don’t keep standing on it, dummy.”
The boy quickly makes his way over to sit delicately on the edge of the couch cushion. Danny goes to the freezer where he knows he saw an ice pack once when he was going through it.
Danny helps the kid turn and lay back until he can elevate the foot under a pillow and set the cold ice pack over the sock. The boy is still staring at him with those wide, intense eyes.
“Ice it for a while and after you take a shower I’ll wrap it for you. Where’s your first aid kit?”
“The first floor bathroom.”
“Which one? You have three.”
“Four actually. You missed the one in the laundry room.”
Danny gives him a look.
“Kid.”
“Tim,” the boy corrects happily. “My name is Tim. Timothy Drake.”
Danny just looks back for a few moments at what is undoubtedly a flicker of hope in those blue eyes. He sighs.
“I’m Danny.”
And a weird friendship was born. Or more of a sibling-ship? Brotherhood? They teeter over the line of friend and family daily.
Danny did stay and Tim was thrilled to have someone else in the house, someone that wasn’t cold or professional towards him. They played games together and joked and taught each other things.
Danny was good at fixing anything that was broken and was the one to do any errands while Tim was at school. He was also the one who had to teach Tim how to be a brother.
Tim on the other hand seemed to be good at everything but letting himself relax. He was a hyper and intelligent kid whose mind was always active, so Danny had to accommodate and come up with crazy games and tasks for the boy in the disguise of requests, but he also made the boy sit down with him to watch crappy movies and just relax together.
They had fun, but they also had bumps and misunderstands. Danny nearly blew his top when Tim snuck out to spy on Batman and Robin without telling him (and wasn’t that a conversation to remember when the Danny found out what he was really doing at night). And Tim had a problem with lying to try and make Danny not worry, which ended up doing the opposite.
They got through those hiccups together though because they were both too possessive to let the other go that easily.
Tim created a fake identity for Danny saying they were cousins. The same black hair and blue eyes kinda sold it with a backstory of Danny’s mother being disowned by Janet’s parents. Jack and Janet weren’t home enough (or invested enough) to confirm or deny.
It was funny though watching Tim stare after Jason Todd-Wayne longingly for a while, but enough was enough. If Tim secretly wanted to befriend his idol, then Danny would make it happen. And he did of course. He made friends with the butler after ‘losing’ a frisbee in their yard and asked if they could get together for dinner one night so Tim and Jason could hang out outside of school. Alfred obviously knew Danny was pushing for Tim’s sake, but he still agreed easily enough.
So became a normal for the Wayne’s and the Drake’s to eat dinner together at least once a month. And after many meetings Danny mentally checked them off as ‘okay enough for vigilantes’ and stayed behind while the two younger boys ran off to go play a game before they headed home next door.
“Mr. Wayne?”
“Come now, you know you can call me Bruce, Danny,” the man smiles. It’s a little too wide, but Danny understands he’s still trying to put on the Brucie mask. He really wish he wouldn’t.
“Right, Bruce.” He fidgets for a second with his hoodie strings and he can feel Bruce’s attention zero in on the motion. “I need to ask you a favor.”
The air turns tense with the silence after that.
“What’s wrong, Danny? Is everything okay?”
“Everything’s fine! Promise. I just- I just need you to promise me something. Please.”
Danny felt so awkward. He has never relied on an adult before, always doing everything himself or with other kids, something Tim and him have in common. So to turn to Bruce Wayne was out of character, but he wasn’t really. He was asking Batman, and him Danny could trust a little more.
“Promise you what?”
Danny could hear the barely covered suspicion in his voice.
“If- If something happens and I’m not around anymore, I need you to take Tim in,” he states, looking at the man full on to show how serious a matter this was.
The man stares back equally serious.
“What would happen to you? Are you in some kind of trouble?” Bruce asks.
Danny shakes his head hard.
“I’m not into drugs, Bruce. Or a gang or gambling or anything like that okay? I don’t owe any debt someone’s coming after me for. I just need insurance, some piece of mind that if something did happen that meant I couldn’t take care of Tim, there would be someone to look after him.”
Bruce stares back, thinking, for several moments.
“Tim has parents, Danny, I don’t know what you expect me to do. And what do you mean you take care of him? Don’t you boys have a caretaker?”
“Of course we don’t. We look after each other, but I’m the oldest. His parents are never home. I’m not exaggerating, they were in Gotham for only fifty-four days last year. They missed Tim’s birthday, holidays, everything. He’s still a kid, he needs someone to be there for him and if I’m suddenly gone then he has no one. Promise me that won’t happen. Promise me you’ll take him in, that you’ll figure out a way to keep him with you so he at least has Jason and you and Alfred.”
Bruce is silent for a while and Danny knows what he’s struggling with. He didn’t really want to use his trump card, but desperate measures.
“We already know who you are. You don’t have to worry about him finding out your secret.”
All traces of the Brucie mask drops at that confession and Batman analyzes him.
“How?”
“Tim is a really smart kid,” he just says with a fond smile. “He’s known for a while too, so you know he won’t go blabbing to the media or whatever.”
“What about you?”
“If I wanted to blackmail you, don’t you think I would have led with that? I don’t care what you do in your free time, but it’s not my business to tell.”
Danny shrugs and tries not to squirm under being scrutinized.
“Since you know who I am, if you are in trouble or ever need help, you can come to me.”
Danny blinks.
“Yea, that’s what I’m doing. So do you promise?”
Bruce nods once, very controlled.
“Yes. I promise you that I will take care of Tim Drake if anything happens to you,” the man vows solemnly.
Danny smiles back, shoulders sagging in relief.
“Thank you.”
When Danny somehow saves Jason from dying, and two months later goes missing, Bruce has to honor that promise while also tracking down the teenager to bring home to a very distraught Tim.

Hi! Could I request hcs from you on Rolan being jealous?
Absolutely! I had fun exploring this topic, so I hope you enjoy! This will be Rolan and a GN!Tav. To the people reading, Please feel free to add on to this and share your ideas!
Tumblr media
Rolan and Jealousy
In Rolan's opinion, Jealousy is an improper and ugly thing to have; it sounds hypocritical when he gets jealous of a lot of things himself.
It's instinctive; his life has never been fair to him, and he never got to have what a lot of others do. It's deep rooted into his insecurity.
Loving parents? He wanted that, as his own family abandoned him. Food on the table? He wanted that too, why did he deserve to starve? Wizard Schooling? As an orphan, he never stood a chance of getting into one. No matter though, he doesn't need schooling! He's a prodigy!
Gods, he knows he shouldn't be jealous at all anymore, he will have everything he could ever want soon. It's unbelievably petty.
This jealousy starts extending towards Tav without him meaning to.
When they start taking interest in someone else, even if it's a simple conversation, his mind trails into the thought "That should be me."
As much of a loud, prickly person he is, he surprisingly says nothing about it. Instead is stews in his heart ready to burst, but he keeps it together.
Why is he so jealous if they're not even his partner? It's absurd and childish. Especially since he is unworthy of their attention. Once he has everything to provide for Cal and Lia, then he'll be worthy.
If Tav and him are together, it is a different story.
His jealousy is still quiet, but they notice how he holds their hand tighter when they speak to certain people. How his tail wraps around their calf. How he glares when other people decide to flirt with them.
Once he works on his own insecurity and Tav's reassurance that he's the only one for them, his jealousy starts fading away to nothing.
That doesn't stop him from playfully stealing them away from their companions with a "fuck off, they're mine".
Writing Blurb
When did he become such a prickly, bitter person? When, at some point of his life, did he become so jealous? Why is he so jealous of Tav, of all bloody people? Is it because they're a savior? That they saved his siblings where he couldn't? He should be grateful!
So why is he bitter, even though they saved everyone, including himself? Is he truly this entitled?
He doesn't see them approach him as he stews in his own thoughts. Usually he's not this insecure with himself, but he feels unworthy of them. He doesn't deserve them, not yet. The tower is not truly his, he has to refurnish everything to make it all of their homes. Cal and Lia love it so far, but there's still so much to be done.
Files need to be organized. All of the dealings fall on his shoulders now thanks to Lorroakan's demise. There's so much to do so he cannot truly have them yet-
His thoughts stop short when Tav kisses his cheek. "You're still dealing with these people? Don't you think it's time for a break?"
He subconsciously leans into the touch but stops when he realizes they pulled away. "I can't yet. There's too many-"
"You can do it later. Come have tea with me, or would you prefer some wine?"
He waves a dismissive hand, staring back down at the mess of papers in front of him. "I can't, Tav, they're all-"
A hand comes to his face, gently but firmly turning his head towards theirs. They don't say say anything at first, looking him straight into the eyes which makes him shut up instantly. He knows that determined look too well, and his mouth goes dry.
"You know I love you very much, right?" Before he could speak up, they continue on, "I'm already impressed with you. I don't need you to work yourself to death to prove you want to make this work. I love it here, and I love you. You shouldn't have to 'prove' anything to anyone, especially not to me."
"You're a savior-" Finger press to his lips before he finishes.
"I couldn't have done that without your help. Your arcane cannon saved my life that day. I thought I was done for until I called for your help," They state, pressing a kiss to his jaw then lips, "You're more than enough for me. Now, how about some reading and wine?" He closes his eyes briefly before that playful smirk returns, looking up at them. "I suppose if you want me to read to you that badly, I shall."

“Wow, Vivi…” You took a deep breath in, marveling at the architectural wonder before you. “This is…”
“Totally awesome?” Nami chimed in, looking around the room.
“I was gonna say that it rivals the work of Michaelangelo, but that works too…” you replied.
Vivi crouched down and crawled into the blanket-pillow fort, poking her head out and looking up at the two of you.
“Feel free to come in! There are many snacks for us to share and movies to watch!” Vivi said cheerily, tucking herself back into the fort.
Both of you crawled after her, choosing your spots within and diving straight into the generously provided snacks.
Nami shoved a handful of pretzels in her mouth, “You’ve really outdone yourself, Vivi.”
“For sure,” you added. “Having a sleepover wasn’t on my college to-do list, but it definitely should have been.”
“And without the boys!” Nami cheered, kicking her legs excitedly. “No Luffy here to eat all the food!”
Vivi smiled at you both, “I’m glad you are enjoying the sleepover! I don’t have any siblings, so I have perfected the art of fort-making from a young age…”
“Well, that’s what friends are for!” You took a couple pretzels from the bowl. “Now we can do all sorts of things you couldn’t do back then.”
“And we can drink!” Nami interrupted, stealing a pretzel from you.
You rolled your eyes, moving over to the laptop to pick a movie, “I’ll leave the drinking to you, Nami.”
“Really?” she snickered. “You seemed pretty open to it when we were at the Baratie. If I can remember correctly, Sanji had to carry you back to the dorm…”
“How the hell would you know that?” you gaped, crossing your arms defensively. “You drank more than I did!”
Nami laughed, crossing her arms proudly, “I can hold my liquor pretty well, for your information! I’ve outdrank at least 30 grown men before!”
“What an accomplishment, Nami!” Vivi clapped.
You grimaced at Vivi’s cheeriness, “Don’t congratulate her for that, Vi…”
“Any more interesting bits of information from you, ____? A story we’ve yet to hear, maybe a long lost love? Or perhaps you and Sanji…”
“Nope, not a thing,” you quickly countered.
“Oh, you’re no fun!” Nami pouted.
You were quick to bring this party back on track, and away from your own personal life, moving to the laptop to search for movies.
“Alright, what are we thinking, gang? Romance? Comedy? Horror?”
Nami made a gagging noise, “Ew, no horror, please. I’m here for a good night, not a nightmare-filled one.”
“I do love romance!” Vivi said excitedly, looking over your shoulder with Nami at the selection of movies.
“Also, I want something classic!” Nami reached for the laptop, scrolling endlessly for movies. “And no superhero stuff, or future-y stuff.”
“Ok, well, we’ve got Clueless, Mean Girls, 10 Things I Hate About You…”
“10 Things I Hate About You!” Nami shrieked, reaching over and clicking on the movie before you could stop her.
Vivi gave Nami a confused look, “I’ve never seen it before, is it good?”
Nami scoffed, “Only the best romance movie of all time! Trust me, Vi, you’re in for a treat.”
“Agreed,” you added, “it’s at least in the top ten best movies of all time.”
“Make that top five,” Nami corrected, leaning back into the pillows.
“I’m glad to be experiencing it, then!” Vivi cheered, joining Nami in her cushioned throne.
You cracked your knuckles, “Alright, ladies! Movie’s starting now, I expect all phones to be silenced and all mouths to be zipped! Now, please enjoy the show.”
“Ok, mom,” Nami quipped, throwing her arms behind her head.
“You wish I was your mom.”
“Nuh uh, my mom’s already the greatest mom, like, ever!" Nami hissed, sticking her tongue out at you.
“Yeah, I already know, we had a fantastic time last night.” You grinned, copying Nami’s pose.
You earned a pillow to the face for that joke.
.
.
.
“I knew it! They belonged together from the start!” Vivi sobbed as the credits rolled, throwing her face into a nearby pillow and staining it with her tears.
“It’s a romantic comedy, Vi,” you said, pinching your nose, “you’re not supposed to be crying.”
Vivi’s lip wobbled, “I can’t help it…”
“Shh…there, there, Vi,” Nami cooed, rubbing the poor girl’s shoulders. “Be nice, ____! It was her first time seeing the movie of a lifetime.”
“It was a romantic comedy, ” you groaned, laying down in the mass of pillows.
Nami hummed, giving Vivi her blanket before collapsing down beside you.
“Tell you what, girls,” Nami yawned, pulling her sleeping mask over her head. “We absolutely need to go shopping soon. I know we all need a break after this heart-wrenching cinematic experience.”
“It was a fucking romantic comedy!”
“Well, so was the Fault in our Stars, and I cried at that!”
“You’re supposed to!” you yelled, hitting Nami with a pillow, “it’s not a comedy!”
“Comedy, shmomedy,” Nami shrugged, “you in for a shopping trip, Vi?”
Vivi smiled, her blanket pulled up to her chin, “Yes, it sounds very fun! I would love to go out with the two of you again!”
“Well, I suppose that depends on our little roomie,” Nami smiled devilishly, turning towards you. “You in, ____?”
You grimaced as the two girls looked at you expectantly, waiting for an answer you didn’t want to give. Nami’s eyes were dark and knowing, while Vivi’s were light and full of happiness, unaware that Nami would probably coerce her into paying. You were more than capable of saying no to Nami, but Vi? A world with a sad Vivi was a world you couldn’t bear to live in.
“...How about Friday evening, after classes?” you muttered.
“Perfect!” Nami cheered, sliding the sleeping mask down to cover her eyes. “I’ll see you girls then. Just text me when you two are out of class and we can head out!”
“A terrific plan!” Vivi said, snuggling into her pillow. “I will see you both in the morning, good night!”
“Yeah, night, Vi,” you murmured to yourself, fearing for the safety of your wallet.
And so you joined their roommates in their quests for sleep, shutting your eyes and curling up in the mound of blankets and pillows surrounding you, giving you a very cushioned send off to the world of dreams.
*⋆✧*.𖥔⋆☆⋆𖥔.*✧⋆*
“...up, ____,” a voice mumbled above you, though you were hardly able to make out their words on account of the pillows smothering your ears.
Instead of responding, you just rolled to your side and pulled the fluffy comforter over your body, deciding that whatever the person was trying to tell you wasn’t worth it. You could decipher it in a minute, or five. Hell, why not just make it ten?
“Wake up!” the voice, now shouting, called out.
The dull pain in your ears was nothing compared to the unexpected pain in your face as a pillow hurled at top speed smacked you in the head.
“Hey!” you shrieked, clutching your cheek and looking around frantically. Nami stood above you, fully dressed with a hand on her hip, brows furrowed.
“Are you kidding me? How many times are we gonna have to wake you up?” she huffed, throwing a pile of clothes at you. “You’re lucky I set my alarm for earlier, you still have time to get ready.”
“My savior,” you groaned, examining the clothes laid before you. “Thanks for the clothes, though.”
Nami certainly had style, and it wasn’t hard to see with her daily outfits. What she picked for you chic, but comfortable enough to walk to your classes in, and wasn’t that the college dream?
“Oh it’s nothing, just something I threw together for you,” she giggled. “Vi’s in the shower right now, so once she’s done and dressed we can head out, ‘kay?”
“Got it, girl boss.” You rose from the jumbled mess of pillows and blankets and stepped carefully over to the closed bathroom door, gingerly knocking.
“Vi, it’s me! Mind if I come in for a sec?” you called out.
A muffled ‘yes’ came from the other side, so you creaked the door open and stepped inside with your bundle of clothes, doing your best to get dressed as quickly as possible.
“Sorry for the intrusion, Vivi,” you apologized, slinging the top over your shoulders.
“Ah, it’s no problem, really!” she said from behind the glass walls of the shower. “I hope you had a good night’s rest after our sleepover.”
You scoffed, “Oh, believe me, the rest was wonderful. It was the wake up call that sucked.”
Vivi laughed heartily, the sound echoing in the cramped bathroom, “This is the second time Nami has woken you up, yes? I am glad I missed this time, the first was quite…brutal.”
“Be lucky you’re not on her bad side, Vi,” you snorted, pulling your phone out.
Aside from notifications from games and emails, you did have a couple unread texts from Sanji this morning.
| Mr. Prince: Good morning Sleeping Beauty!!!!! | Mr. Prince: <333333333 Read 8:12 AM | You: lol i swear you say the same thing every morning | You: do all the women in your life get the princess treatment? | Mr. Prince: Just you! | Mr. Prince: I swear princess <33333 | You: swear your loyalty to me and i’ll believe you | Mr. Prince: ;3; | Mr. Prince: If it means earning your love… | Mr. Prince: I’ll do it!!!! | You: lol i’m just kidding | You: pls don’t do anything rash | Mr. Prince: ;3; | You: go forth and take care of every princess!! | You: that is my command | Mr. Prince: You are too kind!! | Mr. Prince: I wilokgopp;;;;;
You raised an eyebrow as Sanji’s final text, clearly too disordered to be anything except for a violet keyboard smash.
| You: did you die prince charming? | You: it’s only like 8 in the morning lol | Mr. Prince: its zoro | Mr. Prince: sanji needs to get ready so im taking his phone away | Mr. Prince: see u guys at 9 | Mr. Prince: Attachment (1) Image
The picture featured was a selfie of Zoro and a very angry Sanji, the latter attempting to wrestle the phone out of the former’s hands. You could also make out a very blurry Luffy crawling over a horrified Usopp in the background, clearly trying to be a part of the picture.
“I’ll give you some space, Vi,” you said, exiting the bathroom and making your way over to Nami amongst the mess of comforters.
“I got a text from Sanji—well, from Zoro, technically. They’re planning on heading down at nine, if that’s cool,” you said, sitting beside her.
“Yeah, that’s fine,” Nami responded, scrolling through her phone. “We’ll probably have a few minutes to kill, depending on how fast Vivi can get ready.”
Vivi’s voice rang out from the bathroom, “I will be out shortly, do not worry!”
“Take your time, Vi!” you shouted back before turning to Nami. “Judging by Zoro’s texts, Sanji might be a while.”
“That tracks,” Nami sighed, a smile slowly forming on her face. “Knowing him, he’s probably ironing his suit right now.”
“Or curling his eyebrows.”
“Or waxing his shoes.”
Vivi’s head poked out of the bathroom, clearly trying to hold back her laughter.
“Perhaps,” she giggled, “he is powdering his nose!”
The room was silent for a second before the three of you burst into laughter, doubling over at your stupid jokes. You could afford wasting a couple of minutes to laugh, unknowing that the boys were, indeed, waiting for Sanji to finish ironing his suit.
Tumblr media
“Pancakes aren’t that bad, Vi,” Nami said, drizzling her stack of pancakes in tangerine syrup. “You just gotta add what you like on top!”
“Yeah, Vivi!” Luffy said, voice muffled as he stuffed his face with his seventh pancake. “You’ve got syrup, sugar, butter, ice cream, gravy, meat—”
“You can’t put meat on pancakes, Luffy,” you pointed out, sliding your plate further away from Luffy’s potential grasp.
“Sure you can!” Sanji said, carefully decorating his own stack. “There’s plenty of traditional recipes that utilize meat and ‘pancake’, though I’m not sure you could call every example a pancake…”
“I’m saying you can’t put meat on pancakes like how Luffy does it.” You gestured to Luffy’s plate, which consisted of pancakes with huge pieces of steak and chicken on top.
“They’re not even serving steak right now!” Usopp hissed, looking at Luffy’s food with a mixture of awe and terror. “This is crazy! He’s crazy!”
“Pancakes don’t have any special nutritional benefits, but they are yummy,” Chopper remarked, taking a bite of his cotton candy-covered pancakes.
“I will stick to rice, but I thank you for your unique perspectives,” Vivi said, giving a polite smile to everyone.
“Here here,” Zoro agreed, taking a sip from his bottle.
“Stop drinking during breakfast, you have classes afterwards,” you whispered, nudging his shoulder.
“I’ll quit when I’m dead,” he responded unflinchingly, taking another swig.
You sighed, continuing to eat your meal amidst your chattering table of friends. Every conversation seemed to switch, both in topic and participants, every five minutes. You were able to catch details about the introduction of new majors—as if Grand Line didn’t have enough—as well as the topic of Luffy’s potential major.
“Come on, Luffy,” Usopp said, pointing his fork in Luffy’s direction, “you’re gonna have to choose a major soon. Why not try engineering?”
“I don’t wanna do math!” he pouted.
“You could do exercise science like Zoro,” Nami added. “Isn’t Ace doing something similar?”
Zoro hummed in agreement, “I think you’d like it, Luf. You’ve gotta learn a little bit, but you might like it.”
“But I don’t wanna copy Ace!” Luffy cried, shoveling more food into his mouth.
“If you’re interested in it, then you’re not copying,” you reassured.
“But I’m not interested.”
The table sighed in unison, knowing that any hope of finding Luffy a major would be short-lived on account of his short attention span.
“Well, you can always talk to your advisor,” Sanji concluded, wiping his mouth with a napkin. “Or your brothers. They’re juniors, aren’t they? Should have plenty of experience.”
“Oh, yeah!” Luffy exclaimed, practically jumping out of his seat. “I bet Sabo would know what to do! He’s way smarter than Ace!”
“I wouldn’t say that out loud, Luf,” a blond man sitting behind Luffy said, turning to face your group. “You know how Ace gets when you compare us.”
Luffy’s momentary confused expression turned to one of glee as he tackled the man, grabbing onto him like a koala.
“Sabo!” he shrieked, earning the attention of nearly half the cafeteria.
“I think I remember something like this happening with the other brother,” Usopp grimaced, looking all around as if something would hit him at any moment.“Has he been there the whole time?” you whispered to Nami.
“I’ve only started sitting here since last week,” Sabo replied, giving you a knowing smile. “I heard Ace had a rather ostentatious entrance, so I thought I’d surprise Luffy in a little quieter way.”
“...I’m not sure you can call this quiet,” Nami said, watching Luffy squeeze Sabo rather violently.
“Does this mean Luffy’s off our hands?” Sanji asked, peeking over at the reunion.
Sabo seemed to think for a minute, looking between Luffy and your group, before saying, “I doubt he’ll let go in time for his classes, so I can take him for a bit.”
“Sounds good to me!” Nami cheered, standing up from the table. “We should all head to class anyway.”
“Have fun on your field trip, Luffy!” Vivi smiled, waving at Luffy before dashing out of the cafeteria with Nami.
You grabbed your plate and turned to Chopper, “Do you have class right now, Chopper? I’m heading over to the science building to talk to a professor before my biology lab, so we might be heading the same way.”
“I have my chemistry lab there in a bit!” Chopper said.
“Perfect, we can head over now.” You smiled, before thinking for a second. “Are you in organic chemistry, Chopper? Or are you in some higher class?”
“No, I’m still in general chemistry,” Chopper nodded excitedly, but then looked down at his feet. “I think I’m in your class…”
“Oh, shit,” you blurted, feeling guilty. “Where do you sit? I don’t think I’ve seen you in class before…”
“In the front.”
“...Really?”
Chopper blushed, looking embarrassed, “I can’t see when I sit in the back…”
“Well, I can sit up there with you tomorrow!” you offered. “If that’s not a problem, that is. It might be nice to have someone to talk to.”
“I’d like that!” Chopper smiled, picking up his bag. “But we should head over now, before all the spots get taken.”
You slung your bag over your shoulder, calling back to the table, “See you guys later! Don’t let Luffy cause too much trouble, please!”
Sabo waved back, laughing, “I’ll do my best, but he can be unpredictable…”
“Hey!” Luffy shouted, “I’m 100% predictable!”
“That’s not—”
Before the conversation could grow into an uncontrollable argument, you escaped with Chopper in tow. Luffy may be unpredictable in seemingly every other aspect of life, but you could certainly predict how that was going to go. There would be no winners in that cafeteria, only poor, emotionally-scarred college students.
It’s truly amazing what you can learn from someone despite knowing them for less than a month.
Tumblr media
“I fucking hate chemistry, Chopper,” you deadpanned, feeling wrinkles etch on your face as you looked over the lab you’d gotten on Tuesday.
You’d been sitting at one of the few tables in the building, trying to get a start on your lab before Chopper finished completing the in-class portion of his, but you’d been struggling with question two for roughly the entirety of Chopper’s lab, leaving you feeling hopeless, even with the aid you’d received from the professor.
Chopper looked shocked, joining you at the table, “It’s not that bad! I promise it’ll get better, ____! If you want, I can help you study?”
“Truly, Chopper,” you sighed, “I think I’m a lost cause. But I’ll still take you up your offer.”
You dug your phone out of your pocket and opened your contacts, swapping info with Chopper. Another friend to add to the collection, and this one had inherent value to your major!
“Thanks, Chop.” You smiled, tucking your phone away. “I should probably head to my psych class now, so good luck with your lab.”
“Thank you, ____!” Chopper beamed, waving you goodbye.
Luckily, your psych class was in the next building over, so you didn’t have to worry about being late. In fact, the only thing you had to worry about was your chemistry lab. Psychology wasn’t too hard for you, especially back at South Blue High. It was basically just memorization—albeit a lot of memorization—that you didn’t really struggle with. Differentiating ideas could be a tad difficult, but nothing you couldn’t manage. Way better than chemistry, at least.
Your class wasn’t all too great, however. It was full of people who didn’t really want to talk to others, leading to incredibly bland discussion times. Their lack of enthusiasm killed your vibe, so despite the subject being a total snoozefest, you weren’t really looking forward—
“Hey, ____!” Luffy yelled, waving at you from a lone table near the back.
Sitting beside your rambunctious friend was his brother, Sabo, who also gave you a polite wave.
“...Is this part of the field trip?” you asked Sabo.
“Well, I’m TA-ing for this class, so I thought it might help Luffy to learn about other subjects!” Sabo said, grinning.
“Wait, you’re the TA for this class?” You raised an eyebrow, setting your bag down at a nearby desk. “I didn’t see you on Wednesday, and you weren’t introduced either.”
Sabo leaned back in his chair, “It was a spur of the moment thing. I’m a sociology major, but I thought I might dabble in psychology. It’s fascinating, the mind, and what you can do with it…”
“You sound like a supervillain.”
“Me? A supervillain?” Sabo gasped, putting a hand over his heart. “I’ll have you know, I am the kindest, gentlest, utmost altruistic gentleman this world has ever seen! Isn’t that right, Luffy?”
Luffy blinked, not a single thought going on behind his eyes, “Sabo is totally awesome! One time Ace dared him to eat a caterpillar, and he did it!”
“...Gentleman, huh?” you snickered.
Sabo shrugged, his grin tugging at one end of his mouth, “What can I say, I was a strange child. But not as strange as Luffy…”
“Hey!” Luffy yelled, shaking Sabo violently as the latter laughed.
“Well, if you have any questions, just ask,” Sabo said, easily pushing Luffy off. “Though, you seem like a smart cookie, so I’m sure you’ll do just fine.”
“Or you could ask me!” Luffy shrieked, trying to push back against Sabo.
You laughed, finally taking your seat as class began. With Sabo and Luffy providing you company, the class wasn’t so bad. Sabo was nice to talk to during discussion times, as well as when you were filling out your notes—though it was slightly grating to hear your notes being critiqued. Luffy, despite being reprimanded by the professor multiple times, kept the mood of the entire class up. Luckily Sabo was good at smooth talking, or else Luffy would have probably been expelled. You can only break the same desk so many times before being a lost cause.
As soon as the clock struck 3:20, everyone filed out of the room. You left with Sabo and Luffy, making your way over to the cafeteria for dinner, though Sabo planned on showing Luffy one more class before officially ending their ‘field trip.’
“Has any class struck a chord with you, Luffy?” you asked, glancing over to your friend.
Luffy seemed to think for a moment before speaking, “Nope.”
“Seriously, Luf?” Sabo groaned, pulling on his hair. “Not even sociology? Come one, it’s awesome!”
“I hate sitting in a classroom all day!” Luffy pouted, dragging his feet as he walked. “I wanna do something cool, like being a firefighter!”
“Well, you can bring that up to your advisor,” you offered. “I’m sure there’s a degree that—”
“Fire Fist!”
You felt a tug on your waist as Sabo pulled you ever-so-slightly closer to him and away from Luffy, and within an instant you understood why. Hurling towards Luffy at top speeds was Ace, who tackled Luffy and sailed into the nearby grass patch.
“That’s 572 to 0, Luffy!” Ace cackled, slapping his brother harshly on the back.
Luffy heaved for a couple of seconds, clearly trying to catch his breath after being so blatantly assaulted by his older brother.
“I’ll get you next time,” Luffy scowled, jumping to his feet. “I’ve been working on my punches too!”
“Oh, I’m shaking in my boots,” Ace snorted.
“Now, now, guys,” Sabo said, releasing you. “You almost hurt this poor young lady! What would Dadan say if she saw you now?”
“Don’t leave the house until you’ve done your chores?” Luffy responded, picking his nose.
Ace punched Luffy again, causing the latter to fall over onto the grass. He stepped up back onto the sidewalk, approaching you with an apologetic smile on his face.
“Sorry ‘bout that, ____,” Ace chuckled, scratching his head. “But brothers will be brothers, ya know? Can’t go a day without tackling one of them.”
“I seem to manage just fine,” Sabo coughed.
“...In other news,” Ace said, “I thought I might invite Luffy and his gang of pals—that’s you—to a lovely restaurant in order to celebrate the upcoming hockey season!”
“Is it really hockey season? School literally just started,” you deadpanned.
Ace barked out a laugh, “Every season is hockey season, baby! Now, I have other plans currently that I’m 10 minutes late for—”
“You’re what ?” Sabo’s eyes widened as he turned to Ace.
“—and I need to be there soon, so I’ll take your stunned silence as a ‘yes’ to coming, and I’ll see you Saturday night at eight!”
Before you could even respond to Ace’s outlandish statements, he sprinted away as quickly as he came, dashing through—not around—groups of people, knocking over countless bystanders as he ran away.
“Your brother is a work of art, Sabo,” you finally said, feeling breathless watching Ace’s escape.
Sabo only snorted, looking down amusedly as his little brother rolled angrily through the grass.
“Which one?”
“...Fair point.”

DP x DC prompt/story where, after falling through a portal in the Ghost Zone, Danny winds up in the heart of Gotham.
Danny knows right away that he’s in a different universe. The air feels... different. There’s some ectoplasm, but it feels foreign and wrong. Like hearing your voice through a recording.
Danny quickly tries to figure out how different this universe is to his own. He finds a newspaper and the articles he reads make his brows furrow together in puzzlement. Apparently superheroes and vigilantes are commonplace in this world. This city. He’s not sure how to feel about that.
He learns the city is called Gotham-- and quickly realizes just how dangerous it is. Danny has been in the city for less than thirty minutes when a man tries to mug him. He manages to slip away uninjured, but Danny is exhausted from exploring the GZ earlier that day. He finds an abandoned building to hunker down in for the night.
It’s not until the next day when Danny’s predicament really settles in. He is lost in a dangerous city-- in a different universe-- and he has no idea how to get home... or if he even can.
If only to keep his mind from wandering, Danny sets about procuring supplies. If he has any hopes of surviving, he needs food, water, and warmer clothes. He reluctantly steals what he needs, trying his best to take from larger establishments.
Danny also starts looking for work so he can make some money and keep his stealing to a minimum.
Using overshadowing to manage the hiring process without documentation, Danny winds up working at a small coffee shop. It’s a simple enough job, and one he’s done before back in Amity Park.
When Danny isn’t working, he spends his free time exploring Gotham. He keeps moving locations, trying to find a more comfortable spot to sleep at night as fall slowly turns into winter. The cold doesn’t bother him as Phantom, but it’s another story when he’s curled up at night as a human.
It doesn’t take long for Danny to cave and start trying to help as Phantom. There’s so much crime in Gotham, and it seems like the vigilantes can’t keep up with it. It bothers him to hear the gunshots and screams, and he does what he can when he can.
Unfortunately, fighting humans is much more difficult than fighting ghosts. Humans are much more fragile than the enemies he’s used to, and more than once Danny almost accidentally kills a robber trying to stop a simple assault.
He also quickly learns that Batman is very suspicious of Phantom and does not want him in his territory. Danny keeps his distance from the vigilantes, but he knows they want to learn more about him-- and might try and capture him for interrogation if they could only figure out how.
It’s frustrating for Danny. Helping out as Phantom is the one thing he can do that reminds him of home, and even that is a struggle. His Obsession suffers for it, as he slogs through the days, trying to figure out how long he can keep this up before breaking under the strain.
One thing that brightens Danny’s days is seeing his favorite regular at the coffee shop. A cute guy around his age, who he feels immediate affection for after watching him down a latte with 6 shots of espresso in it like it was nothing. The guy’s name is Tim.
Danny develops a nice rapport with Tim. He comes by almost every day, and never once looks well-rested. Danny is reluctant to make friends-- still holding onto the thin hope that a portal might open up and let him head home any day-- but it’s hard to resist Tim’s charm. He reminds Danny of Sam and Tucker in ways-- with his dark sense of humor, and his love for technology. He’s also a giant nerd and Danny swiftly learns a host of new universe memes from him (some of them being eerily similar to his own world’s).
At some point Danny realizes they’re flirting. He’s not sure when that started-- he’s always been an awkward mess at it-- but they’re both flirting and Danny is falling hard.
Danny winds up meeting some of Tim’s siblings not through Tim introducing them, but through them finding him. It’s a bit weird, but funny. He’s not sure how many siblings Tim has; it seems like he says a new name every time he mentions them.
Danny tries his best to skirt around his own home life, but he can tell Tim is curious. Danny has a shitty little apartment now, but it’s hardly much of a life.
Tim and Danny wind up going on a few dates and he is absolutely smitten. The hope of returning home has slowly been dying in Danny’s chest. More and more he clings to his work at the coffee shop and those instances where Tim walks through the door. It feels like the only thing he has to live for at the moment.
One night Danny hears a loud commotion while he is flying as Phantom. He follows the source of the noise and finds one of the Gotham vigilantes, Red Robin, bleeding out. He’s a mess-- half-buried under rubble with a gunshot in his side and blood dripping from his mouth. Danny tries to perform triage on him, but realizes that the man is dying.
It’s while holding the vigilante, trying to ease his suffering with ice as he passes, that Danny realizes he seems familiar. The hair, the lilt to his voice as he tries to speak... Danny can’t help but remove the domino mask, spurned on by a horrifying suspicion coiling in his chest. He screams when he sees Tim’s familiar, wide eyes staring back at him. They’re growing dim.
Danny acts purely on instinct. He’s not sure what drives him to do it-- what instinctual knowledge takes over-- but Danny fills the wound in Tim’s side with ectoplasm. Too much ectoplasm. His hands spark with the material, and Tim’s body jerks-- he screams and Danny isn’t even sure if what he’s doing is right.
When Danny pulls his shaking hands away, Tim lies still. Ectoplasm seeps from his wound-- his mouth. He’s not even breathing. Danny watches on in horror, wondering if all he did was make Tim’s last moments pure agony.
Tim’s eyes flutter open, briefly flashing green. A familiar ring of light sparks to life at his naval, but it splutters away as Tim groans, staring up at Danny with tired eyes, and passes out. He’s breathing, agonizingly slowly. His heartbeat, once steady as any human’s, is hardly there. It’s all too familiar for Danny.
Danny reaches to scoop Tim up, not knowing if he will thank Danny for what he’s done once he’s lucid. Before his hands can touch him, Danny feels a malignant presence behind him and hears the telltale click of a gun.
“What the fuck did you do to him?”

Little Brother
-> Touya Todoroki (Dabi) x Reader (they/them pronouns used)
characters: Touya Todoroki (Dabi), Shoto Todoroki
genre: fluff
summary: touya introduces you to his family and the youngest todoroki grows attached to you
warnings: established relationship (between dabi and the reader), mentions of past trauma, this is set on a alternative setting where quirks aren't a thing and the todorokis are trying to be a better family
I do have more ideas for different parts so let me know if you're interested in this becoming a series of dabi fluff feat his family (in particular shoto)
Tumblr media
When you first started dating Touya, meeting his family was the scariest thing you could think of. Touya was honest when he told you he and his family had a rough start but were trying to get on good terms again. He always seemed happy when he was talking about his siblings, telling you silly stories about their childhood or how the weekly phone call with them went.
After a few months of dating, Touya decided to ask you to visit his family for the weekend. You could have lied and said you had exams or even been honest and tell him you weren't sure but the way Touya’s eyes sparkled in hope made you unable to deny his request. His mom seemed sweet and from what Touya told you, she already loved you; his dad you weren't so sure but your boyfriend assured you that he wouldn't be mean or anything; you were almost sure you would get along with Fuyumi; Natsuo was too much like Touya so if you managed to get along with your boyfriend, you are sure you will be able to get along with Natsuo; Shoto, however, was the person who scared you the most. He was only twelve and you know how hard teenage boys can be to deal with. Touya guaranteed that Shoto would like you, that he doesn't even talk much but that made you more nervous. How were you supposed to bond with a twelve year old boy that doesn't speak? More than anything, you wanted Touya’s family’s approval and that meant every single one of them.
The days prior to the big meeting, you kept annoying Touya with multiple questions about Shoto, trying to get an idea of what you could say to start a conversation. Your boyfriend wasn't very useful on the matter, simply brushing you off with “you’ll be ok, stop worrying your pretty head.” You hated him (but not really). So you ignore the urge to choke Touya to death and mentally prepare yourself. If everything goes wrong, you will have to lock yourself in his room until it's time to leave.
Your university isn't that far away from Touya’s house so, as he drives, you start to think that maybe you should have stayed home. It might be too soon to meet his family, you haven't been dating for long. Touya’s hand squeezes your thigh as a sign of reassurance. You try to focus on the music for the rest of the ride. Your heart starts beating faster when Touya parks in front of a house. You leave the car without thinking, set on getting this over with as fast as possible. Your boyfriend goes to the trunk to get both of your small bags for the weekend and starts walking in front of you. He knocks on the door and your breath gets caught in your throat. A boy that looks too much like Touya without his piercings opens the door and instantly hugs your boyfriend. Touya ruffles his hair and steps to the side. “This is my partner.” he introduces, then says your name. Natsuo bows slightly and tells you to get in, expressing how happy he is to meet you. There's a faint smell of food coming from the kitchen and two women that look so much alike come out to say hi. You bow at them but Rei has a warm smile as she hugs you, communicating how much Touya has talked about you, making your tough looking boyfriend blush slightly as he tries to hide his face on his sister’s hair. Fuyumi hugs you next, asking you to drop the formalities as they already consider you family.
“You're trying to steal my partner already and we just arrived.” Touya says in a playful tone.
Rei pats his cheek before pulling him for a hug, squeezing him a bit and saying she missed him. You hear the sweetness in Touya’s voice as he murmurs “I missed you too.”
Fuyumi lets everyone know that dinner is almost ready and that their father will be home soon. From what she said, Shoto was in his room doing homework but she thinks it's an excuse to hide for a little longer since he seemed nervous to meet his big brother’s partner. Your heart warms a bit to the thought that you weren't the only one nervous about this meetup.
You follow Touya to his room to place your bag and take a moment to look around.
“Your room is so… empty.”
“Never really decorated it. Plus, most of my stuff I took with me to the dorm.” you hum in acknowledgment. “I told you they would like you.”
“I still haven't met your dad or your younger brother.”
“I don't give a fuck about what my dad thinks and Shoto will like you.” Touya hugs your waist from behind, resting his chin on your shoulder. “It’s hard to believe but he's a lot like me. And you managed to make me fall in love with you so I think it will be fine.” you sigh, turning on his embrace to hug him back. “I love you, don't worry too much.”
You whisper that you love him back and hug him a bit tighter. Touya always managed to feel like home and you felt comfortable in his arms.
A soft knock on the door catches your attention and Touya lets you go to open it. A boy with two colored hair stares at the both of you. “Mom said dinner’s ready.”. Touya looks back at you and you bow slightly to the boy, introducing yourself. Shoto simply turns around and leaves the room. Touya is quick to follow him and hooking his arm around Shoto’s neck, ruffling his hair violently while arguing with him to have manners. While you were a bit sad about the way the youngest Todoroki reacted, you didn't blame him and you laughed at your twenty years old boyfriend acting like a baby as they both got scolded by Rei.
Todoroki Enji was already in the living room. He was definitely the scariest person in the room right now. Tall and broad with a dark aura. He was hard to ignore, towering over anyone and everyone. You got goosebumps with the way he glared at you and you were quick to bow respectfully as you introduced yourself yet again. Touya doesn't say much more than a simple “Hey dad.” before Fuyumi is urging everyone to sit down at the table. His dad definitely had an undertone that made the room feel more tense, quieter, the complete opposite of Rei’s calmer, sweeter spirit.
You were already expecting some questions but you didn't think Touya’s dad would be the one to ask you most of them, giving small hums every time you replied. You didn't know if he was judging you or not, the man kept a straight face all the time and his eyes were impossible to read. His voice was audibly softer when he talked to Touya and you wondered if that was his way of trying to be better to his son. Fuyumi is the one telling you a bit more about the family, talking about how she wants to be a teacher and Natsuo is about to start high school. Then she proudly spoke about how smart Shoto is in school, always getting good grades. Apparently, Shoto was the smartest among the siblings, Fuyumi said, which made Touya hold back his pout as he argued that he was doing pretty well in university. “I bet Shoto couldn't get better grades than me!” “He’s only twelve Touya!”.
The dynamic of the family seemed a lot better than how it was during Touya’s childhood but you notice that Shoto doesn't take his eyes away from the food as the conversation keeps going.
“What's your favorite subject?” you ask him, quietly so the attention doesn't go back to him.
“I don't know.” Shoto simply says before asking to leave the table, then getting up to put his dishes inside the washing machine.
Your brows furrow as you watch the boy leave the room. You decide not to bother the young boy for the rest of the night, focusing on helping Rei clean everything before settling down on the couch next to your boyfriend. Touya’s dad announced that he was going to his room and his mom followed soon after, telling her younger kids that they need to go to their beds soon, getting protests from Natsuo. The four of you decide on a movie and you cuddle your boyfriend’s warm body, drifting between being awake and asleep merely twenty minutes into the movie. Fuyumi is the next one to leave the living room, admitting that she's already tired. She ends up dragging Natsuo since he was almost asleep on the couch, leaving you and Dabi alone in the living room.
Dabi plays with your hair as he murmurs in a soft voice “Are you feeling better? Calmer?”. You nod, cuddling closer to him as you take a deep breath, feeling his scent bring you comfort. “I’m sorry Shoto was a bit rude.”
“It's alright. I understand.” you murmur sleepily. “I’m not mad at him or anything, it's not my place. I believe we’ll have more opportunities to talk.”
“Yeah, I’m not letting you go so you'll definitely have more opportunities to talk to him.” he chuckles, pulling you closer. Let's go to bed, baby.” You let yourself get dragged to the room by your boyfriend. Like he usually does, Dabi helps you take off your clothes and change before softly wiping off your makeup while your eyes fight to stay open. He will then change his own clothes quickly to snuggle you in bed. Dabi always makes himself appear scary and people usually say he's intimidating but you have to disagree because, as Dabi hugs your waist and hides his face on your chest, he always looks like a cuddle away from actually purring. Dabi argues that he will have nightmares if he's not being held by you so you spend most nights with him clinging onto you while you play with his hair until he falls asleep. It's only fair that he asks for that now that he's back in his childhood home.
When you wake up on the next day, Saturday, your boyfriend is shaking you awake because his brother already came calling him for breakfast. Breakfast is a lot quieter than last night's dinner. You help Rei clean everything, not missing Shoto asking Touya if he wanted to play a video game with him. Fuyumi is sitting on the floor, books scattered all over the coffee table and Natsuo is almost falling asleep on the couch. Shoto and Touya are sitting side by side, each holding a controller while they choose a character in Mario Kart. Rei announces that she's going to the supermarket, kissing all of her children’s forehead before leaving. Touya pats the place next to him when he sees you and you quickly sit down, striking a conversation with Fuyumi about what she is studying.
“You're shit at this game.” the youngest Todoroki murmurs. Touya gasps dramatically, a hand going on his chest as he looks at his brother. “Shoto! Language!” his brother simply rolls his eyes, snatching the controller away from him.
“Do you want to play with me?” It takes you a few seconds to realize Shoto is talking to you, his arm stretched in your direction. You can't control your smile as you reach for the controller, ignoring the smirk Touya sends your away. Shoto doesn't talk much unless he's replying to a jab his brother sends him. “You're a lot better than Tou.” Touya, like the drama queen he is, immediately jumps to try to tickle his brother, putting his head on a headlock. You're left to pull your boyfriend back, warning him about how Shoto is getting redder by the second because of the uncontrollable laughter. Shoto cleans the tears in his eyes while you're holding your boyfriend in your arms to stop him from jumping back to tickling his brother. With his back turned to you, you make a signal with your head, hoping Shoto understands the message. He's still laughing when he starts tickling Touya and you do your best to keep him in place as he starts screaming apologies.
You smile as you watch the two brothers catching their breaths side to side and you understand why Touya said his younger brother was a lot like him. As they sit next to each other, you can see the similarities in their expressions. Touya scares you by dropping his head on your shoulder, still breathing heavily. “Are you sure you're 20?” you ask, not able to stop your giggles. “Keep laughing and you're next.”
“I won't let you.” Shoto’s voice surprises you. “They're cooler than you so I can't let you attack them.”
After that day, Shoto visibly grew closer to you. It was barely noticeable but he didn't seem as uncomfortable with your presence. You would hear him ask Touya when were you going back during their weekly calls, begging your boyfriend to visit them the next weekend and bring you along. Touya would argue and whine that his little brother was trying to steal you from him but you would just shut him down by flicking his forehead. You certainly started seeing Shoto as a little brother too and couldn't be happier that he liked your company. Even if it made his older brother act like a baby every time you spent time together. You don't even remember a time when you were nervous to meet Touya's family.

She traveled back home around November for the holidays. She was going to fly back to Germany in December to spend time with her husband, but there were a lot of delays, and {Y/n} parents were worried for her to go home.
“I know. Hopefully, I’ll be back before Christmas. I wanna see you open your gifts.” {Y/n} was on Facetime with Kaiser on her bed.
A smile appeared on the male's face when he saw his wife smile. “Yeah if only you would’ve driven your car,” He teased his wife. He chuckled when he saw her reaction. She was always cute.
“First off the weather is horrible and you know my parents wouldn’t let me drive. Second, it’s a long ass drive. And Third it’s not like we are poor so live with it.” She flipped him off which made him laugh.
“Whatever you say, darling.”
The two of them talked all night. They even fell asleep on the phone with each other. {Y/n}’s brother even had to tell them to be quiet some times in the night. {Y/n}’s sister was even annoyed at their brother for interrupting the happily married couple. He was just jealous he was still single.
Next Morning ———
Anna was making breakfast for her family. She was making a simple breakfast that they all liked. The family could be picky at times. So Anna had to work around what is the best type of food to make for the holidays. But now it was easy since more of the family was about of the house.
{Y/n} was the first sibling to wake up. She walks into the kitchen and sees her mother cooking up some breakfast. It was nice since {Y/n} didn’t have to wake up early and cook like she does at home for Kaiser. It was her mom that had to wake up early and cook breakfast for the family. That was nice about going home for the holidays.
Kaiser was lying in bed still not feeling any energy. Even though it’s been about a month. It still felt weird to Kaiser without his wife by his side in the morning. He didn’t want to get up, so he didn’t get up. He lay in bed for a while up until 1:00 pm.
The only reason he did wake up was because he heard his phone ring. Kaiser turned over to see {Y/n} was the one calling.
“Hey babe. What have you been up to?” {Y/n} happily said.
“Just woke up, meine Dame,” Kaiser's voice was groggy and deep. It was lovely to hear from {Y/n}.
“I can tell, Mein Mann,” She teased. “I just wish I was home with you right now.”
“Me too,” Kaiser added moving his phone to the other ear. “Maybe you should steal your parent's plane.”
She sarcastically laughed, “Ha ha you are so funny, babe.”
“I know I am,” he prided himself.
“Then you’re lucky I love you, Micheal Kaiser.”
“No, I’m lucky to have married you,” He kissed at his phone. He heard a kiss sound back.
{Y/n} kept on talking and talking. She was hearing ruffling and soft nosing in the background. She ignored the noses at first thinking he was messing with the blankets and or she was hearing things. She couldn’t ignore the sound anymore when she heard her husband breathing loudly. “What the hell are you doing, babe?” She finally questioned irritated and wanting an answer as it had been going on for a while.
“Nothing for you to worry about. Just keep talking,” He voiced just barely and breathy.
They talked– Well {Y/n} mostly talked while she could hear Kasier beath and moan through the mic. They talked most of the day and never did she hear him stop. He did say a few words but they weren’t as coherent as hers. They hung up when {Y/n} had to go eat dinner with her family. Kaiser tried to get her to stay bc she did have earbuds. But she couldn’t.
Christmas went by faster than they both thought. Now they were on the phone opening each other's gifts. There were a few questionable items. But hey they were married and it was normal if it was gifts or not. The rest of the items were sweet though. The sad thing about the call was {Y/n} had no news about when she was coming home.
“Do your parents not like it when you speak German?” Kaiser asked opening another gift. He wasn’t too much paying attention the the gift but rather his attention was on his wife.
“They don’t hate it, but they don’t like it when I speak German either. But they can’t say anything bc it’s my second language. I don’t say anything when Linse speaks Hindi, no one does.” The female shrugged her shoulder. If they were going to say something to her why not say it to her sister as well?
Kaiser nodded his head. He opened the box. He pulled out the item with a thin lip smile, “Wow your mom is so creative.”
“You will wear it when you see my family again and when they visit. You’re going to appreciate that sweater.” {Y/n} raised her brow along with her voice.
“Sure I promise.” He was sarcastic even when putting the sweater down.
The day went by fast, along with the week. And the next thing it was already New Year's and this is the first year. They weren’t by each other side. Though they were calling each other on the phone so they weren’t completely apart.
“Ready for the countdown?” Kaiser says looking up at the big clock.
“Yeah, ready more than ever,” {Y/n} says looking up and down at her phone while pushing through a crowd.
“Without me?” He teased.
“Do you want me to hang up?” She stood still holding the phone.
“No, this is fine for this year, Meine Dame.”
“5!” A crowd of people shouted looking at the big clock. It was hard for people on their phones to hear the other person.
“4!”
“3!”
“2!”
“1!”
The crowd got louder and more cheerful.
“0!”
“Happy New Year!” People shouted. Some people kiss their loved ones and hug friends and family.
Kaiser stood where he was looking at his phone with a smile on his face, “Happy New Year, meine Dame.” As he was talking he felt a light tap on her shoulder. He turned around mouth dropped to the floor.
“Happy New Year to you too, Mein Mann”
Kaiser pulled his wife closer in for a kiss. It was a deep passionate kiss like it was his last kiss on earth with {Y/n}. It was like she was gone for years though it was only about two months. Kaiser missed his wife so much that he didn’t want to let go of the kiss. He went deeper and deeper into the kiss.
This was a way to start the New Year. With his beautiful wife in his hand kiss her like the last thing on earth. He loved her so goddamn much and it showed. Kaiser finally broke the kiss. “Ich Leibe Dich, meine Dame.”

Holly and Poppy O'Hair Headcanons
Holly’s full name is Holly Ivy O’Hair. Poppy’s full name is Poppy Hazel O’Hair.
Poppy uses she/they pronouns.
The twins were tower-schooled before attending Ever After High.
Holly is cursed to have all doors that close behind her magically lock her in. She has to keep her dorm room door wedged open. Poppy isn’t completely comfortable with this and prefers the door to be closed, but she lets Holly keep it open a crack.
Poppy was definitely one of those girls who cut up their dolls’ hair.
Holly has ADHD, which makes damsel-in-distress class really difficult for her even though it’s her entire story. She also has a one-track mind. Once she starts on a subject, she will not stop talking. She uses reading and writing as an outlet for all the things buzzing through her head.
Poppy is the shier of the two. She’s more of a listener than a speaker, which comes in handy when Holly goes on a passionate rant. The only time she has no difficulty socializing is when someone is in the barber’s chair.
Holly’s a researcher of old folktales and ancient civilizations. The Wicked Step-Librarians have had to lock her out of the library for sneaking in after curfew and not being able to get out.
While they are close, Poppy wants to carve her own identity separate from Holly. She doesn’t only want to be known as Rapunzel’s sister. She wants to make a name for herself and have an impact on other people as her own person.
Holly is a morning person. Poppy is not.
Holly is sometimes insecure over having so much hair. She can’t avoid stepping on it, getting it snagged on something, and sometimes dragging on the floor. She envies Poppy for being free to cut her hair.
Multiples run in their family. Their mother is also a twin. She has an older twin brother named Tarragon, but she got the Rapunzel destiny because she was female.
Holly has had a crush on all three Charming siblings at one point or another.
Poppy was closer with Nanny Nona than Holly. Holly was wild and fidgety, frustrating Nona to no end. Poppy was the calmer of the two and thus got along better with Nona. Holly and Nona still get frustrated with each other from time to time.
Poppy loves spicy foods. She’s almost obsessed with them.
Their music choices differ drastically. Holly likes country pop music. Poppy is more into punk rock. However, they both share the same favorite artist: Dolly Charmton. Poppy plays the song “Midnight to Noon” to get her pumped up in the morning.
Poppy’s a great climber. She sometimes goes beanstalk climbing with Jillian.
Holly is slightly taller than Poppy.
Rapunzel and her husband work as the fairytale equivalents of district attorneys. As such, Holly and Poppy don’t get to see their parents very often - especially their mom - and it’s why they were left in the care of Nanny Nona.
Holly does tutoring in Creative Writing.
Despite working in a literal barbershop, Poppy does not like barbershop music.
Holly does not do things halfway and always takes the long road. She struggles in areas that don’t interest her, but she’s reluctant to take shortcuts. Her mother drilled into her head that “you can’t climb a tower if your hair is too short.” But Poppy tries encouraging her to “work smarter, not harder”.
Poppy has a thing for “baddies”. She used to have a crush on Sparrow, but got over him quickly when she found out he preferred Holly over her. She also has feelings for Duchess despite knowing she was voted “Most Likely to Steal Your Destiny.” Deep down, she knows it’s a problem.
Holly theorized Daring wasn’t Apple’s Prince Charming but kept it to herself. The only person she told was Poppy. She was pretty happy when she found out she was right.
Both sisters are devoted dragon moms.
They’re both very nervous for when their destiny comes to pass. Holly is a bit wary of living a lie; that she’s technically stealing her sister’s destiny. She’s also having some pre-guilt about blinding her future prince. Poppy is doing everything in her power to keep anyone from finding out the truth, because she wants to keep the life she’s been building for herself.

Tumblr media
There were only so many night shifts your parents would ever allow you to have. The rest of the week was spent sleeping once again back in your own bed. You did worry on occasions about how Yeosang was doing but you would just go and check on him during the day. Lucky for him things went smoothly and he was much better by the end of the week.
You had yet to see the other men again seeing as they only came at night. There was a day that your father had explained he heard some noises outside but just assumed it was some racoons or possums searching for food. The boys looked at you with scowls on their faces when you gave Jongho and Yunho an earful. There were no more noises the following days.
“It's been a week since those cops arrived from the capital and they haven't so much as said any reason for why they're here.” A patron of the saloon started.
“I'm sure it's something they want to keep a secret. So as to not scare the citizens.” Your father tried to defuse the tension.
“I think it has to do with that gang that's closing in.” Another person entered the conversation. “They said the last town they stopped at was robbed blind. All the cash in the bank was stolen right under their noses.”
“It wasn't the bank.” Someone else shook their head. “It was Harthorne's wealth. That jacked up man high on his own tobacco.”
You shook your head, picking up some of the money your father had in the register to move to a safe in the backroom. Two of your siblings were waiting at the front desk as you walked closer with the locked box of cash.
“Do you think the gang is coming here next?” Your sister asked.
“No.” Your oldest brother answered. “Cromer doesn't have overly wealthy men they would steal from.”
“We do have a mayor though.” Your mother butted in, eyebrows furrowed as she looked over some papers. “One who just raised our taxes.”
“Again?” Your brother shook his head.
“So it seems.” Your mother sighed.
“Hello.” All four of you turned your heads towards the person who had entered the lobby.
Your eyes went wide. “Yeosang?”
Your family looked at you confused.
“Goodday, sir.” Your mother politely told the man. “Is there anything I can do for you?”
“May I speak to (Y/N) real quick?” He asked with a smile on his face.
You watched as your family looked at you shocked again. You only looked away from them, moving around the front desk to reach Yeosang.
“Oh you know my daughter? Of course you may speak with her!” Your mother spoke for you. “What a lovely young man.” She spoke to you as you passed.
You sighed deeply as you passed a chuckling Yeosang. The man bowed his head to your mother, making both her and your sister swoon. You watched from the front of the opened door as he skipped over to you with his hand behind his back. Once you were out of earshot from your nosey mother and sister, you frowned at the man.
“What are you doing out of bed? You should be resting.” You scolded.
“I'm fine, (Y/N). I just won't be doing anything tough.” The man laughed.
“Nothing tough? You went through the window, didn’t you?” You glared.
“Nothing gets past you.” He grinned. You rolled your eyes at him, looking around him to notice another man walking closer to the both of you.
Seonghwa was looking over a newspaper before folding it up when he reached the two of you. He gave you a smile, which you gladly returned. While you hadn’t had a proper conversation with the boys after cleaning up Yeosang, you had come to learn that he and Seonghwa were the nicer ones. At least the ones who didn’t seem to retort anything sarcastic when you spoke to them.
“What are you guys up to?” You asked.
“We are looking for some jobs.” Seonghwa answered. “We were hoping to ask your family if they had openings.”
“Maybe?” You shrugged. “You could ask.”
You watched them turn to each other, discussing things within themselves. If they were going to be working here did that mean the gang was going to be staying here for a bit longer? You had no clue where they were staying anyway but you assumed they didn’t have a roof to sleep under. It’s not like any hotel or inn would take in outlaws.
“If you're looking for jobs does that mean you guys are going to be living here?” You asked out loud.
“It's a bit more complicated than that.” Was all you got from Yeosang.
You sighed, knowing it wasn’t the right moment for them to tell you everything. Even if they did, you knew it was better to not know what they were up to. Who knows what kind of things you would be dragged down to.
“Sure.” You simply replied. “Come on. My father is in the saloon.”
You led the two through the doors to the side of the main lobby. Your father was tending to the glasses that need washing, lucky that no one was at the bar anymore. You felt the stares of the couple of men sitting around, watching the three of you grow closer to the bar.
“Hello.” Yeosang spoke up. “I have a few questions. I was wondering if you happened to be hiring?”
Your father stopped, eyebrows pulled together as he looked between you and the men. “Hiring? Ah, what skills do you have?”
“My friend here is a talent when it comes to cooking or bartending.” Yeosang offered. “It's his specialty. I myself have worked in financing. My family comes from a long line of bank tellers.”
Your own head snapped up to look at Yeosang, wondering if it was true or if it just something he made up to look good.
“What are you doing finding jobs here in Cromer then?” Your father frowned.
“We came from Aurora. But you see, we wanted to see the country, experience new things. (Y/N) is a good friend of ours and we wanted to work alongside her.”
You looked down to hide the giggle that wanted to escape. You were trying your hardest not to look flustered, but also how well this man seemed to be talking with your father. It seemed he had everything prepared. As you already knew, he was someone who knew how to work people.
“Both of you?” Your father questioned, looking over at you. With the look on his face, he really didn’t believe them to think that you had two male friends. Especially none that looked like them.
“Yes, well. We are all mutual friends.” Seonghwa smiled. While Yeosang knew how to talk, it seemed Seonghwa knew how to use his looks to make people feel persuaded. You understood now why these two were the nicer ones. They knew how to get what they wanted. The others looked like they used force more than anything.
“What are your names?” They had your father’s full attention which made you raise your brows.
“Kang Yeosang.” He held his hand out. “Nice to meet you.”
“Kang?” Your father’s eyes went wide. “You mean the bank?”
“That's the one.”
Kang Bank was the top bank in the nation which meant that half of the population used it. Your own family did as well. You frowned, wondering why Yeosang was with a gang. He was the heir to the people who worked well with money. He had a good life set for him. But yet, here he was fighting off an infected stab wound.
“Park Seonghwa. Pleasure.” He too shook your father’s hand.
“I'll have to talk it over with my wife if you don't mind.” Your father looked over at you, signaling that he wanted to speak to you.
“Not at all. We understand these things take time.” Seonghwa gave a bow of his head.
Your dad gave a smile of his own, pulling you out the saloon and towards the lobby. “Where on earth did you meet these men?” Your father shook you.
“Ah. When I went out a bit ago?” You tried to come up with something. While your father didn’t think much of it, to you it really sounded like you were questioning yourself.
“And you never told us! You're friends with a Kang! They own half of the country's money!” Your father exclaimed quietly, seeing as Yeosang was still on the other side of the saloon style doors.
“They sound pompous.” You frowned.
“You're friends with one.” Your father stressed.
“I don't know.” You sighed, thinking about the man. “I like Yeosang.”
“(Y/N) you cannot mess this up. Do you understand where you'd land if you married this man? You'll be set for life!” Your father exclaimed.
You grimaced when the thought of marriage was brought up again. Yeosang had left his own home for a reason, why on earth would he want to return. He had his reasoning and you assumed it wasn’t something good. If you knew anything about spoiled rich men was that they really didn’t want to do labor work. Yeosang didn’t seem that way.
“He wants to work in a hotel in a lesser known town. I don't think he has what you're thinking of.”
“You don't know that. Maybe he just wants experience. Everyone could use it. (Y/N) if you do this you won't have to worry about anything! He is the perfect gentleman.” Your father explained. “Now, I said I was going to talk to your mother about it but I can't lose this opportunity. I'll give them a day and then tell them tomorrow they are hired. It sounds perfect!”
You watched him walk away, probably in search of your mother to tell her the news. Ever since the gang had entered the town it seemed as though your parents were really pushing you to find someone. Maybe they had been for a while but you had never noticed and always waved them off.
However, meeting the boys you started to notice how much they actually wanted you to leave. You guess having them see you with men really got them hopeful. You weren’t the only one who was of age for marriage. You had a 19 year old brother, but then again he was often seen with girls. Unlike you who hadn’t been out with a boy since you were a teen.
It had ended in disaster when you offended the boy for making a disgusted face at something he had said. His opinion didn’t sit well with you so you voiced it. Albeit you didn’t mean to but it came out anyways. Ever since then, men just steered clear of you in a romantic sense. Jongho was the first one you had ever been out with ever since that time.
You came to the conclusion there just wasn’t someone out there who could match the kind of person you were. It did make you sad to think that you would never find that special person. But you were young, so you had time to explore your options. Besides for the first time, you finally did meet someone who found your attitude entertaining.
It was just a matter of explaining to your parents that with him you weren’t going to find what they wanted.

Ngl after seeing the hookup house episode and reading this I have to see more jessi and Y/N interaction about what happened and more jessi reaction to her sister dating her very older crush like 😭😂
I love writing Y/n and Jessi interactions so much 😭✋ here’s just a little something of them talking about what happened with Judd’s shirt lol
Tags: fem! Reader, actually no smut this time wow 🤩, sibling rivalry, sorta, ig?, their argument is kinda unresolved, swear words, kaitlyn is nice, she gives sorta good advice, I’m a kaitlyn stan idc, this is really short there’s not really that much to say about it
Summary: you confront Jessi about the shirt incident.
There’s kinda a part 1 (one) to this one, it’s not totally necessary, but you can read it HERE
Author’s note: once again I struggled with dialogue,,, idk how you talk to your younger sister lol i have a brother 🧍🏻they’re not like Judd and Nick tho, they actually like each other lmfao
A heart to heart about Jessi’s sister’s boyfriend
Word count; 1,7K
Tumblr media
“Hey sweet-pea, Jessi-bear, I hope you two are hungry because—“
Jessi stormed right past your dad, barely granting him a glance as she darted straight down the hallway and into her room. The two of you stood in silence and listened as she slammed her door.
Your mouth tightened into a long, thin line and you closed the front door behind you— settling your overnight and Jessi’s backpack you had been carrying down on the floor.
Your dad raised his eyebrows. “What.. uh, what’s that about?”
Kissing your teeth, you answered; “I don’t even know anymore, dad. I think she’s mad at me for having a boyfriend,” — and also extremely embarrassed because you caught her stealing one of Judd’s shirts. But you kept that to yourself.
He blinked, you watched him reach a conclusion. “That sucks, sweetheart.” He measly answered— your eyebrows drew together and you clenched your teeth. You did love your dad, but he was distinctly awful at saying the right thing.
‘That sucks? THAT SUCKS? Damn right, it sucks, Greg! It sucks worse than your fucking job at Whole Foods,’ Connie’s hair puffed up angrily, she held both your shoulders in her hand and glared at your dad from behind you. ‘Give him hell, honey-bun,’ She urged you.
You opened your mouth to retort, a snappy comment ready on your tongue when Kaitlyn beat you to it. “What Greg meant to say—” She started, fixing your dad a pointed look. “—Is that’s awful, it sucks that you have to deal with that,”
She sent you a small smile, and you knew that was definitely not what your dad meant to say, but you appreciated the sentiment. You smiled back stiffly, leaning on the counter where she was cutting vegetables.
“Thanks, Kaitlyn.” You muttered. Connie bristled. ‘Who the hell do you think you are, cheesegirl? We didn’t ask you,’ She scoffed, hissing at Kaitlyn— again, you shared her attitude. You were annoyed yourself, quite on edge after the long walk home with an angry Jessi and now dealing with your dad and Kaitlyn.
She stopped cutting vegetables. “Hey,” she said, gaining your attention again. You stared at her, apathetically. “I used to have a crush on my older sister's boyfriend. She’ll get over it, and if you feel like it you could talk to her about it— 12-year-old girls can be crazy, it’s pretty cool you’re still so nice to her,”
Connie blew her nose in her hair. ‘Cheesgirl is actually right? Oh god, we should have listened to her more, she knows just what to say,’ The monster sniffled, dramatically clasping a hand over her heart.
You smiled, genuinely this time. “Wait, Jessi has a crush on Judd?” Your dad looked at you, bewildered. The soft expression fell from your face and became tired as you looked at him.
“Obviously.” To your surprise, both you and Kaitlyn echoed each other.
“Huh. I thought she was scared of him,” Your dad’s eyes narrowed and a thoughtful expression crossed his face— he forgot to turn the pot he had on the stove as he recalled the only interaction he had witnessed between Jessi and Judd. The one and only time you had brought him over for dinner.
Kaitlyn rolled her eyes and sent you a look that clearly showed her overbearing of your father, you couldn’t help but softly laugh in return.
“Okay. I’ll go talk to her,” you stated, determined.
Kaitlyn cheered you on as you walked down the hall to Jessi’s room, and for the first time you truly appreciated your dads new girlfriend.
-
Chewing on the inside of your cheek, you delivered three sharp knocks to Jessi’s door. She didn’t answer.
“Hey, Jessi, can I come in?” You got your answer in the form of a muffled sound from the other side.
You opened the door slowly, peaking inside to see Jessi curled up on her bed— on her stomach with her face pressed into the pillows.
Her back was shaking lightly, and that’s when you realised the muffled sound was her crying. “Aw, Jessi-bear,” you cooed, stepping fully into the room and closing the door.
Sitting down on the bed, you gently reached out and touched your sisters back— she stiffened, clearly trying to hold back her sniffles.
“Go away.” She mumbled, barely audible as the pillows swallowed most of her sounds.
You sighed deeply, exhaling through your nose. Ideally, you didn’t want to deal with Jessi and her outbreak of jealousy— but, unfortunately, you cared enough about your sister to push your own annoyance aside.
“Jessi, you can’t be mad at me. That’s not fair,” you tried, removing your hand from her.
She suddenly sat up, whipping around to scowl at you. “Are you trying to act like the victim? You embarrassed the shit out of me, in front of Judd!”
You bristled, mouth turning downwards in a frown— it took your utmost patience to not counter Jessi with an insult. Connie shifted her weight nervously from foot to foot, cowering behind Jessi’s bedpost to hide from the incoming argument.
“Listen, I have to be real with you— and it’s gonna sound harsh as shit, but Judd is not going to date you. Ever. He’s 18 and you’re literally 12, even if we break up, it’s not gonna happen.” You deadpanned.
You watched Jessi’s eyes refill with tears, she quickly, angrily dried them off with her sleeve. “I don’t care! I don’t even wanna date your boyfriend, oh my god,” She screeched.
You fixed her a look. “If you didn’t wanna date him, why are you mad at me?” It was a statement more than a question.
Jessi looked away from you. “Because you don’t even care about anything other than Judd, you’re so selfish,” she scoffed.
“Ouch.” You muttered. “I’m so selfish I took the time to walk you home and talk to you because I thought you were upset,”
Your sister seethed. “You are! You’re such a slut too—“
“— Okay, Jessi, don’t fucking slut-shame me. I get that you’re jealous, or whatever but you’re acting like a little prick. I’m trying so hard to be patient with you. What more do you want?” You were a bit desperate now— and exceedingly pissed off.
“I want you to stop embarrassing me! And I want— I want you to actually act like my sister!” She cried, fists angrily colliding with the mattress. You stood up, sneering at your sister.
“This is me acting like your sister! I’m gonna sister the fuck out of you until you die, and it will get so much worse!” You ran a hand through your hair, viciously tugging at the strands. “You think I don’t care about you? I’m talking to you because I care, I’m trying to help you, Jessi,”
Pacing back and forth across Jessi’s bedroom floor, her eyes followed you, vexed. “If you want to help, leave me alone! All you do is humiliate me.” She had seemed to calm down a little— voice lower but way more resentful.
You clicked your tongue, stopping your pacing to glare down at her. “You’re doing a great job of that yourself, idiot.”
“If—if you hadn’t been there—“
“— what? If I hadn’t been there you’d have talked to my boyfriend and shown him the shirt— which is fucking creepy for you to have, by the way— and he’d automatically fall in love with you?”
Jessi looked away, an angry flush woven into her skin. “No. I don’t know.” She muttered.
“Yeah, no.” You hissed. “I love you and all, but you’re a fucking pain. I guess I can’t help you, unless you actually want my help— so I’ll leave you be, but it’s seriously a bummer that you have to act like this.”
You turned to the door, shoulders tense and body rigid with anger, but to your disbelief Jessi called out to you; “Y/n, wait— don’t leave,”
Your brows rose. “What. Change your mind now?” You snapped.
“Yeah, I guess. Don’t leave.” She repeated, and you turned back to her with a defeated look.
Sighing, you replied; “Alright, Jessi. If that’s what you want,”
She scooted away a little, making more space for you on the bed— you picked up on the indication and sat down. She tucked her legs to her chest, resting her head on her knees and looking at you a bit abashed.
“I’m sorry I called you a slut— you aren’t. And it wasn’t very feminist of me,” Jessi muttered.
An airy chuckle escaped you. “Right. I’m sorry too. If you feel like I’ve been spending too much time with Judd, I probably have. I didn’t mean to neglect you, Jessi-bear.”
She wrinkled her nose. “Don’t call me that in front of Judd, ever again. Please.” She grumbled.
“Alright.” You chuckled, eyes caught on a particular spot on the wall— making it appear as if you were staring off into space. “I won’t if you stop stealing his shirts, klepto.” You teased, good naturedly.
Suddenly she untangled herself from her position and sat up on her knees to face you directly. “Oh my god. Please, please, don’t tell anyone about that! Y/n, please!”
You turned to watch her beg. “Wash my dishes for a month and we have a deal.”
She frowned. “Okay. But you really can’t tell anyone, okay? And tell Judd not to tell anyone either,”
“You think Judd would listen to me?” You asked, shrugging.
Jessi’s body sacked slightly. “Just try, pleaseeee, Y/n.”
You reached out an arm, caging her in and pulling her into you. She fell from her position on her knees, tumbling into your side where you squeezed her slightly.
“Only because I love you so much, you little shit.” You grumbled, landing a hand on her head and purposefully rubbing it in to mess up her hair.
She protested, pushing you away and complaining loudly as she fixed her hair. Connie came out from her hiding spot, engulfing the two of you in her hair and hugging you close. Jessi leaned her head on your shoulder.
“I’m actually kinda glad you’re my sister, Y/n,” she answered quietly.
You rolled your eyes at her inability to be sincere. “I know, Jessi-bear.”
Please feel free to request more Judd stuff! I love all the headcannons and ideas y’all send me <3

Nimona headcanons plus little bonus part 2 electric boogaloo
After Nimona found out about Ambrosius' allergies they demanded to test every single meal he eats
They’ll take the plate away from him and have a test bite and only after they deem it “safe” will they let him eat it
Doesn’t matter if they're out eating or at home she does this every time
He can literally say “Nim Bal made this for me it’s not gonna have anything I’m allergic to” and she’ll respond with “You don’t know that he could finally be sick of you and the only thing saving you is me”
Ambrosius and Bal will share literally everything they eat
Whenever they go out they’ll usually order something they know they’ll both like
And if they know the other one is between two options they’ll just order one of the options and share both meals
It’s a pretty normal thing that they’ve been doing since they were kids so they don’t even question it anymore
Nimona jokingly calls it sickening as she steals food off their plates
No one in the trio is neurotypical
Bal is autistic Ambrosius has ADHD Nimona is a mix of both
Talking to these dorks is absolute hell
It’s kind of like the interrogation scene except it’s not one topic
They often get sidetracked and lose the plot of the conversation
They’ll have 10 different conversations at once and only finish like 5
Bal forgets a whole bunch of shit because he has long-term brain damage and Nimona and Ambrosius forget shit cause of the ADHD
It’s not uncommon for someone to say “Hey remind me to” and then they’ll be cut off by the other person who just says “You know I won’t remember that just put a reminder in your phone”
Their house is covered to the brim in sticky notes and random pieces of paper for reminders
The grocery list is on the front door the chore list is in the kitchen and random little tasks are scattered around the house
When Nimona doesn’t want to do something he’ll just erase his name from that task
He fooled the boys for a while but Bal started keeping score of who did what and when and called his sneaky ass out
Little bonus part 2 electric boogaloo: this time it’s my sister and my mama and my sister also was acting like I was killing her firstborn not asking her to watch a movie
Me: “look mama it’s the siblings” my sister: “but they’re gay” me: “yeah but people thought they were siblings” my sister: “if you ever look at me like that I’m calling the cops” (the scene on the catwalk)
“Yeah you better cheer” (when Bal was getting knighted)
“I knew something was wrong with the sword” “So did Bal” “Yeah but I knew first”
Apparently both my Mama and my sister didn’t know that Ambrosius cut off Bal’s arm so I got to see both of their reactions
This was my Mama’s “damn what happened to being a lover not a fighter” “he’s a knight Mama” “Who cares!!”
This was my sister's “Wow really took the whole arm huh?” “That’s how they were trained” “And?”
My mama was talking to my sister when Nimona met Bal “Who does that remind you of?” “Roo” “Exactly”
“Oh look it’s tiny dick!” (Talking about Todd)
“What a fucking bitch” (when she found out the director swapped the sword)
This was when Bal and Ambrosius were fighting Me: “Is there anything gayer than having an argument in the middle of a sword fight” My mama: “They’ll fight with their other swords later”
“Who fucking asked” “bla bla bla I’m a racist bitch” (when the Director went on her monologue in the office)
She saw Ambrosius’ username and laughed for like two minutes straight
After the sword fight my sister would pretend like Bal and Ambrosius were making out every time they were on screen together
“Because I love you *making out noises*” at the tavern
“Oh there’s their third wheel (Todd)” “Nah he’s racist as fuck” “Who isn’t in the institute?”
When Ambrosius tried to stop the director she said this is what he meant “No you can’t set off the laser that’s my kid!” (She believes the trio is a family too)
“Awe they’re hugging *more making out noises*”
She called it cute in the end and I made fun of her for bitching about it
I asked my sister who her favorite is and she says “what’s his name balls?” I started cackling my ass off and she goes “I’m joking I know his name is Ballister and he’s still my favorite”

ghoul bicycle series - bonus post pt. 1
a little peek into the life of the pack with reader
After an overheating incident that led to going to the abbey infirmary, you have deemed that only Cumulus and Cirrus are allowed to sleep in your bed during the worst heatwaves as they run cooler than the rest of the ghouls. They are very smug about it.
You start to notice you run out of perfume at a peculiarly rapid rate and soon discover the ghouls have been stealing it to use on themselves. Swiss is the biggest culprit and you'll often catch him smelling more like you than you do
Valentine's Day is a competitive spectacle to see who can bring you the nicest gift - it started out with flowers and chocolates but has since gotten progressively weirder. Last year Aurora brought you a fat, trembling rat with a radiant smile on her face and you demanded she return poor Ciabatta back to Papa immediately. Phantom won most recently for bringing you an enormous and vibrant taxidermy peacock which he stole from Sister Imperator's office that is now proudly displayed in the den living room
Every full moon the ghouls act a little...ghoulish. Usually they take some time to go out to the woods to work it out and be feral little creepy creatures but some choose to stay with you. The first time you woke up and saw Mountain looming over you in the dark with glowing eyes you screamed so loud siblings two floors up could hear you
When you get a small Roman numeral 10 tattooed on the inside of your wrist to commemorate your partners, Rain and Sunshine don't stop crying off and on about it for three days. It becomes a favorite spot to leave a little kiss by all the ghouls
He will never admit to it but Dewdrop writes you some of the loveliest, most thoughtful poetry - clandestinely handed to you on folded pieces of ripped out notebook paper under tables and behind backs. You keep all of them in a locked jewelry box on your dresser
When you're sick, all the ghouls fret terribly but know to give you space and let Aether do his work. He's by your side constantly, whether that's bringing you food and medicine or holding your hair while you throw up. If he's not curled up with you every night, he's sitting in a chair by the bed keeping a vigilant watch over you, proud to be the one you turn to in these moments of vulnerability

Note
since you asked for it... how about some headcanons of mikey, sendou, hanma and draken of when the reader brings them a bento box with their lunch? but not any lunch- those cute ones with animals, happy faces, flowers, etc.
Notes: this req is like sooooo cute omg- uh anyways idk Sendou very well so I didn't write for him
Warnings: n/a just fluff lol
Characters involved: Mikey, Hanma, Draken
Gender-neutral reader, you/yours
Manjiro Sano (Mikey)
Mikey thinks your bento is the most adorable thing ever.
Or at least, he would have thought that had he not been having lunch with the rest of the Toman leaders that day.
"Not a word."
He might have tried to sound intimidating as Mikey picked at the octopus-shaped sausages you had made for him, but there was no mistaking the pink flush dusting his cheeks.
The others chose to keep the teasing to a minimum because they think of you like a sibling, but they do think it's absolutely adorable that you pack him bentos like that.
Mikey will probably pretend to be annoyed the next time he sees you, but with the way he clings to you and whines about it, it's clear that he was just flustered by how cute the bento was.
This kind of backfires for you though because now he always wants his rice shaped like little rabbits and his sausages like octopus.
Even throws a fuss if you so as consider giving him a normal bento after then.
Hanma Shuji
Is lowkey confused at first.
He still thinks it's super cute but he just can't really understand why you would think it was a good idea to give him one of those cute bentos.
Unlike Mikey he isn't actually embarrassed by it or anything. He thinks it's adorable and even shows it off to the others.
If anyone dares to try and make fun of him he just tells them they're jealous their partner doesn't do the same for them. This is usually followed by a threat to beat them up.
Overall, he's pretty neutral about it.
But expect to be teased A LOT when he meets up with you after that.
Hanma will literally not stop going on about how he thinks it's so adorable that you put in so much effort for his bento.
"You probably just wanted me to praise you for being good at it didn't you?" He only stops when you pretend to be offended and say you won't make him bentos again. It's only then that Hanma tugs you to him by your waist and genuinely thanks you for the food.
You're a little struck by how sincere he is in that moment, especially when he mentions he's not used to other people taking care of him like this.
But your cute little moment quickly turns back into another teasing fest as he pesters you about what you want to make for him next and calls you his cute little housewife/husband.
Ken Ryuguji (Draken)
Pretends to be indifferent, is dying inside.
He thinks it's absolutely adorable that you would bother doing something like this for him, especially since he never really got bentos as a kid.
But he also has a mean and scary reputation to uphold which is why he can't help but turn a little red when seated with the rest of Toman eating Tamagoyaki with little faces on them.
Baji and Mitsuya are the only ones who dare to tease him while Mikey casually steals a bit of his bento just because it looks cute.
He even complains about how Draken got such a cute bento and says he'll ask you to cook him cute things too.
Ken doesn't even realise he's lowkey glaring at the thought of you doing something so sweet for someone else until the rest of the boys start laughing.
When he meets up with you later he doesn't really say anything and just casually thanks you for the bento.
Or he would have done that had Mikey not been with him.
The shorter blond took great pleasure, droning on and on about how Draken was totally blushing while eating the bento and threatened to kill him when he said he wanted you to make him one.
You know Mikey well enough to be able to tell he's just joking around but that doesn't stop Draken from casually trying to trip him.
Once Mikey leaves the two of you alone (after a lot of complaining and teasing) Ken takes a moment to genuinely thank you for the bento.
He's also pretty intrigued about how you made it and asks you about the stencils you used etc.
Ken even considers making you a cute bento in return someday, after all, he's a decent cook since he always had to cook for himself and he'd love to return your kind gesture.

BEHOLD…
MY MYTHSWAP AU!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, in this Au, Crafty is the only non-mythical critter, while the other seven are all different kinds of mythical creatures!!!
Here’s each character here!!!
Even if Crafty is a plain ol’ pony in this au, they’re still just as important and loving as the others; in fact, they’re the ✨protagonist✨! They stumbled their way into the Realm of the Myths while taking a stroll as they thought about somewhere they could paint, before they met DogDay and Bobby in the woods. During their three years in the Realm of the Myths, Crafty’s been careful, they’ve been loved, and they’re learning more each day!
DogDay is a Werehound, but instead of every full moon, it’s every Solar Eclipse he turns into a monster, while every Lunar Eclipse, he’s your good ol’ normal sun dog!
His younger sibling, CatNap, is a Sphinx, well, except without the “human face” part, lol… Much like his brother, they, too, can turn into a monster, except it’s more at will, and mostly during waxing crescent moons!
Bobby Bearhug is an Onikuma, although, she did use to be an average critter, like Crafty. She, along with Picky, brings in food for the others every night. She stays close by with CatNap because when she became a demon, he was right there by her side… d’awww!
Kickin’ Chicken is a Cockatrice, and since it doesn’t really specify what kind of dragon the rooster has to be, he’s part leviathan! He’s an expert at surfing, and is basically the “rich, popular kid” trope (except he’s the sweetest to his friends!) He and Bubba were best friends ever since they were toddlers, and Kickin wouldn’t want their flame to extinguish any time soon! He even talks about many different themes whilst baking with his sister, so that he doesn’t get too bored.
Bubba Bubbaphant is a Siren (mainly because none of the mythical elephants didn’t really fit ToT), but instead of singing and testing the limits of his beautiful voice (/j), he infodumps about one’s interests to try reeling them in! The nerd’s a bit meaner in this AU, since ocean sirens are usually that way, but he can tolerate his friends!
Picky Piggy is a Boar; she’s pretty violent, but that doesn’t stop her from having fun with her friends! In fact, she uses her violent tendencies to her advantage whenever she cooks! She’s Crafty’s best friend, and she’s the one who made them their “horn” out of a party hat! Picky’s the (adoptive) older sister of Kickin, and she makes sure he’s healthy, both physically and psychologically! (What a sweet sister… sob…)
And last, but DEFINITELY not the least, Hoppy Hopscotch, the jumping Jackalope! She’s pretty mischievous, in fact, to the point where DogDay made her own Time Out Chair™️! She even steals all of the coffee sometimes, so that she can have more energy than when she’s normally hyperactive; but, she is patient whenever she needs to — in fact, out of all of them, she’s likely the most patient.
BTW!!! You can ship anything in this AU, but I have only 3 simple rules:
Nothing Problematic
Nothing that would be in Alabama
And each ship should be to each character’s romantic interest
For example, on what each critter is (of course, there are all headcanons):
Crafty is Lesbian (they/them)
DogDay is Bigender and Bisexual (he/her)
CatNap is Non-Binary and Pansexual (he/they)
Bobby is Transfem and Pansexual (she/they)
Hoppy is Questioning her Interests as of now (she/they)
Bubba is Bisexual (he/him)
Kickin’ is Transmasc and Gay (he/him)
Picky is Transfem and Lesbian (she/her)
That’s all, Folks! Love y’all!
(platonically, of course—)

On the House (pt. 3)
Summary: The Pevensies have decided to run a cafe together, a cafe that the reader has come to frequent every Saturday like clockwork. As time goes on, it becomes evident that a certain blond has started to catch feelings for the reader.
requested by @theonottsbxtch
part 1 | part 2
Tumblr media
(Y/n) found her job boring. This was alarming because she had never felt this way before. In fact, she loved her job. The publishing industry was one of stiff competition and having a passion for the work was the bare minimum in order to be considered a competitive candidate. She loved being able to witness the process of a book being made, especially the beginning when the authors she worked with pulsated with excitement, knowing their life’s work was finally going to be revealed to the masses.
But she couldn’t focus on her work anymore. Instead, she went through the motions, unable to focus on anything except for the anticipation of the weekend. All her mind was set on was one thing. The Lamppost Cafe. Every Saturday all she could think about was going into the cafe at one o’clock and getting to see Peter again. Some days she even considered going earlier than her regular time but stopped herself, not wanting to see desperate in any way.
Ever since she learned his name, she kept repeating it to herself. She would say it to herself while making her morning coffee, or while she was showering. It was like a mantra for her. She even found herself waking up sometimes with the name still fresh on the tip of her tongue. As if she expected him to be laying on the other side of the bed, responding to her call.
Saturday came at an agonizing pace but soon enough she was grabbing her bag and book before heading for the cafe. After slugging through the week, the walk energized her. She felt the wind blow through her hair as she went, her eyes wide with excitement as the cafe came into view. She didn’t hesitate to walk up to the register where Peter was waiting for her. She wasn’t sure if she imagined it, but it felt as though his smile brightened as she neared him. “The usual?” he asked, already ringing her up.
“How did you know?” (y/n) joked, flashing him a smile. There was a pause as their eyes caught each other. He broke first, looking down at the register to read out the total. (Y/n) blinked a few times, as if it would flush away the pink that had started to grow on her cheeks. She began digging through her bag to find her wallet. “Actually, you know what, it’s on the house.”
“Really?” (y/n) responded. Behind Peter, she could his siblings pausing what they were doing and stealing quick glances at them. “Is there a certain sale today?”
“Oh no, it’s just you always come here. Think of it as us showing you our thanks for your support.” He let out a chuckle before flashing a quick smile. He was now rocking his weight back and forth and his eyes were back on the register.
“Oh, that’s so sweet of you guys!” she responded, a bright smile growing on her face. “Thank you so much!” Peter looked up at her and she could tell his face was a shade redder than it had been when she first entered the cafe.
“It’s my pleasure,” he said. (Y/n) let out a small giggle, remembering the first time he had said the strange phrase when he had brought out her order. “I’ll bring over your order once it’s ready.” She nodded before making her way to her usual table.
As Peter walked towards the back, Susan said in a low voice, “I hope you’re planning on covering the cost for your girlfriend.” He rolled his eyes.
“Yeah whatever. And she’s not my girlfriend.”
“Yet,” Lucy added, chuckling as she started to steep the tea. Peter only scoffed before stealing a glance at (y/n). He hoped his face felt much more warm than it actually looked. If she had noticed his blush, he wouldn’t be able to face her again. How unprofessional it would be for a customer to believe he was flirting with her! Of course, he was only offering free food and drink because she was a regular. It wasn’t anything with romantic undertones. At least that’s what he would say if his siblings questioned him. But deep down, he knew the truth. He knew that he spent a bit longer getting ready on Saturdays and that as the clock neared one o’clock he took his place at the register even though he hated dealing with the confusing machinery that somehow always malfunctioned when he used it.
“Well, are you going to give your girlfriend her order?” Susan asked, already putting the cup and plate into his hands.
“Quit calling her that, will you?”
“Oh, do you prefer future Mrs. Pevensie?”
“Very funny.” Peter rolled his eyes. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to do my job.” He walked away before his sister could add one last remark. As he neared (y/n)’s table, he could feel his face warming once again. “Here’s your order,” he said, placing the stuff down onto the table.
“Oh, thank you,” (y/n) replied, putting down her book.
“Haven’t you already read that one?” Peter felt his face become even warmer as he said that, realizing he had given away the fact that he had been watching her for the past few weeks. She let out a small laugh and it was the most beautiful sound he had ever heard.
“I fear I don’t have many books, so I cycle through them constantly.”
“Well, there’s a bookstore right down the street. Their prices are pretty low and they have a pretty wide variety of books.”
“Oh that’s sound wonderful. I should definitely check them out some time.” There was a pause. The girl looked up at him, the smile she was wearing turning somewhat playful. “This is the part where you suggest taking me to the bookstore.” She wasn’t sure where the confidence had come from but she was glad she said it as a wide smile grew on Peter’s face.
“I’m off tomorrow, does that work?”
“Perfect. We’ll meet here?”
“Is one o’clock good for you?”
“It always is,” she replied, smiling into her cup of tea as she took a long sip, the honey warming her throat on the way down.
