The first time I saw him was in a movie called "Breakfast on Pluto" ... i was so mesmerized by his performance ... I knew he was special.
But also he is not like many of these selfish hollywood stars... most of his roles were as a secondary actor and he usually picks his projects carefully, not for the blockbuster success, but because of the love of art.
So glad he got the Oscar for a Christopher Nolan movie, with whom has collaborated many times
Congratulations to our Shy Irish Boy .... So much love
Ladies and gentlemen, Cillian Murphy, 1x Academy Award nominee and WINNER! 🥹🥳🎉🥂🍾
Hope people could understand that this strike it's not only for the benefit of the "elite actors" ... you have to understand that the majority of actors and actresses that belong to SAG - AFTRA are those who work on commercials, extras, minor roles, stunts, voice works, puppetry and many other not well known jobs.
You can recognize many of these faces because they have done many big roles in big films ... but at the end of the day, all of them are human beings that belong to a union and are fighting for their rights.
This is not only "rich people crying" .... NO!! this is a deeper and serious situation
This photo was taken for the casting Johnny Depp made for his first film ... a little project called " A Nightmare on Elm Street"
Since then, he continued working in many films, even though he initially wanted to become a musician.
He conquered many supporters and the respect of many critics, reporters and colleages through his many iconic characters
This has not been an easy road. He has faced his own demons, the madness of the "Industry and even a person who really damaged his image, his family and his health .... but he survived!
Here he is, still with us ... and we are thankful for that!!
Waiting for more success and wishing you the best!
I don't remember where exactly I read or heard this, but as I know, Johnny doesn't like to call his fans "FANS". He prefers to call us "Supporters".
I have known this for many years. This is the reason I don't call myself "Depphead" (I really don't like that word, even though I have used it in some posts)
I could not find the exact quote to prove it, but I found this one he wrote after the trial:
To all of my most treasured, loyal and unwavering supporters. We’ve been everywhere together, we have seen everything together. We have walked the same road together. We did the right thing together, all because you cared. And now, we will all move forward together. You are, as always, my employers and once again I am whittled down to no way to say thank you, other than just by saying thank you. So, thank you. My love & respect, JD

According to Tim Burton, Johnny Depp was quite depressed during the making of the film due to his recent split with Winona Ryder. It was even reported that the actor would sometimes come to set with tears in his eyes.
At the time, Johnny Depp was depressed about films and filmmaking. By accepting this part, it gave him a "chance to stretch out and have some fun", and working with Martin Landau "rejuvenated my love for acting".

Tim Burton has been really supportive with Johnny. Also, while filming Sweeney Todd, he waited for Johnny so he could take care of Lily Rose when she got seriously ill.
