(SLIGHT GORE WARNING)

regarding to my last post this is what the LI's if they were mythological creatures from the Philippines.

Vere- Mananangal - a creature that can separate its upper torso from the lower part of its body, using an elongated proboscis-like tongue to suck out the blood of someone who is sleeping. It also haunts newlyweds or couples in love and sometimes newborn children or fetuses in the womb. (most mananangals are women, but there are men too but women out numbers them)

Kuras - Bakunawa- a serpent-like dragon that is believed to be the cause of eclipses, earthquakes, rains, and wind.

Leander - Tikbalang- a half man half horse creature that is believed to scare away travelers or lead them astray, if a tikbalang falls in love, it would most likely follow its love interest their whole life.

Mhin - aswang/multo- refers to the spirits of the deceased that are believed to linger in the physical world, often due to unfinished business, unresolved emotions, or traumatic events. They haunt the living until insanity or got what they wanted.

Ais - Kapre- a tall, grimy, dark humanoid and is known as a tree demon(height is around 7-8 ft). They are also known to smoke and drink in trees. They play tricks on people by making them go in circles or completely lost in the woods.

So Avian type monster guy, who is REALLY trying to court you but he's already pretty shy so the fact that you don't exactly know about Avian courting stuff does NOT help him lol.

I absolutely loved your idea about the preening! He just digs himself a hole cus he gets so flustered but has to try and hide it or else you might figure out he's trying to court you and then he'll really get flustered 🤭🤭👀

You’ve been working here for about 2 years now. This is a sanctuary for injured and wounded species to rehabilitate as well as teach the public about these magnificent forms of life! So far you have mainly been giving the reptiles exams and administering shots. Not every day has been amazing. But it’s worth it for what you get to do here!

Because of a recent discovery your job now has a new species for care for…an avian. You’ve heard of them yet never really met one. Little was known about them. Unless you were unlucky enough to get close to their nest. The first couple days the avian was agitated. Dangerous in fact. They were worried to even send you in with him. Yet apparently you had a way with him. I mean he still wasn’t the most receptive to shots but he didn’t bite, or claw, or attack you like he did the others.

After a while your days mostly consisted of going into his enclosure and cleaning up or being around him. You noticed there are some days where he lays on the ground and chirps until you come over and pick things out of his feathers. But, it must just be because he’s a neat freak. He’s always picking twigs and leaves off of your uniform. Not to mention how he makes sure his nest is always clean.

Side glances here and there are something regular from him. But what isn’t regular was when he pulled you to the side. Worried for him you followed as he walked to his nest and sat down. You looked for any signs of injury? Was he hurt? Sick? You must have worried him by how much you were thinking. Because next thing you knew you have been pulled onto his lap. He can’t really look you in the eye it seems. He just..holds you. His head hiding against your neck as you feel the rumble of a soft cooing noise coming from him.

As you lean into him all you can think about is how strange this all is. There’s got to be more to it. Right?

A vampire alchemist who has created a synthetic human blood serum, not only to satisfy his hunger without hurting anyone, but to be able to donate blood.

A fae who only takes people’s names if they no longer want it and even helps them find a new one. She also guards nice humans from scams and takes people with nowhere else to go into the fae realm.

An elf so germaphobic he isolated himself in a castle that is magically kept pristine, with enchanted crystals creating purified air and visitors having to go through an intense regime of disinfectation before being able to enter.

A siren whose voice is so hurtful to the human ear that sailors will go out of their way to avoid getting anywhere close to her home.

A ghost that’s basically a disembodied soul attached to a sheet of cloth. It takes care of the old mansion it lives in and constantly forgets that it cannot go through solid objects.

A dragon that inhales fire and actively seeks to keep things from burning down. They also seek out hidden treasure to give to those in need and have scales that are really squishy.

A person who turns into a werewolf every night except during a full moon and is barely a functional human being throughout the day, only managing somewhat by drinking an excessive amount of coffee.

A succubus who is absolutely revolted by anything remotely sexual and feeds off of hugs, pats, cheek/forehead kisses, hand holding and cuddles instead.

A necromancer who’s going out of their way to seek out any dead souls rummaging on the Earth and talk them into going to the afterlife.

The funniest thing in the world to me is when people write mermaids that are bothered by humans eating fish. Like do you think fish don’t eat each other? The ocean is full of little freaks that will eat whatever or whoever the fuck will fit in their mouths. If the mermaids haven’t been eating fish this whole time what do you think they’ve been eating? If the answer is humans, that doesn’t make it any less funny. They’ll eat the species that looks like the top half of them but won’t eat a species that looks like the bottom half? Peak comedy.
