putting my prediction on record now that the coming decade is going to see the rise of viral-marketed fancy at-home water filtration systems, driving and driven by a drastic reduction in the quality of U.S. tap water (given that we are in a 'replacement era' where our current infrastructure is reaching the end of its lifespan--but isn't being replaced). also guessing that by the 2030s access to drinkable tap water will be a mainstream class issue, with low-income & unstably housed people increasingly forced to rely on expensive bottled water when they can't afford the up-front cost of at-home filtration--and with this being portrayed in media as a "moral failing" and short-sighted "choice," rather than a basic failure of our political & economic systems. really hope i'm just being alarmist, but plenty of this already happens in other countries, and the U.S. is in a state of decline, so. here's praying this post ages into irrelevance. timestamped April 2023

this truly is the hardest question. :( but after much consideration, I think Endless Halloween Night wins out for me, because it's nonstop Characters Being Silly the whole way through. the whole thing is just lots of these little dorks having the most ridiculous interactions, which is always my favorite! and of course the big twist is SO delightfully stupid and doubles down SO hard that it becomes AMAZING and I 100% unironically adore it. AND it's Halloween! everyone is in their cute little costumes and having a spooky adventure! it's great!
however, I am ALSO a big fan of the Harveston event! how can I not be! everyone is wearing comfy winter outfits and getting along really weirdly well with Epel's grandma and he's getting a little worried about that! my terrible loud son sews a plush squirrel and then gives it a silly little nickname and refuses to leave it behind when it breaks! the ending shot with the sled! I LOVE IT.

the bloodcastes in homestuck are so funny like heres this canon system of oppression these aliens have. heres how theyre bigoted with it. btw this only matters for about twenty minutes and the characters who are canonically the Only of their given blood color on their planet (and thereby the Most oppressed or quite literally Training To Be the Empress) are never going to talk about that to anyone else except One Guy and the One Guy is going to be a Huge Douche about it to them. the only hemoist character left by the end of the story is vriska also because everyone else is either A. dead or B. lowblood. no this isn't ever resolved because of the retcons for all we know vriska is still in fact hemoist by the end of the story because most of her character growth was removed

Me: wow, twst is so good. The art is beautiful, the voice action is phenomenal, the characters are unique but well developed and believable, it explores mental health issues that not even real life people are willing to discuss sometimes, but the boys are still silly in a light hearted way. They could add almost anything, and it wouldn't upset me!

i know i've been writing a million reminders on this blog but! i genuinely mean every single one of them. this one is for people with adhd (particularly those who are like me), your practice is going to be okay. if you struggle with committing to a deity or you continually need to have breaks from deity work/worship, it's going to be okay. if you have to bounce from deity to deity or your attention just generally tends to wane after a period of time, it's going to be okay. if you struggle to focus on worship or practice for long periods of time, it's going to be okay. you're not less valid of a worshipper for needing to keep things dopamine-friendly, and your deities understand! it's going to be okay. let me say this again, it's going to be okay.

You can also just search "canis albus" on pinterest and a bunch of stuff comes up
I don't endorse my art being reuploaded on pinterest without my awareness and consent, but the unfortunate reality is that there's very little I can do to stop people from doing that. I know a lot of artists have a similar sort of antagonistic relationship with the site purely because it's so full of stolen, unsourced and uncredited art. I could spend my days going through pinterest and reporting my pieces for removal, and it wouldn't be enough and I'd never have time to do anything else. It's kind of a pick your fights situation and I know I can't win that one.
