Demonic Adjustments:
Content Warning: (fantasy) body dsymorphia
Lucifer: Had to get used to the extra weight on his skull added by the horns. His head would keep tipping from side to side for several days after the Fall as he worked out how to unconsciously keep them balanced. Dia thought it looked hilarious. He also kept getting wing cramps because he unconsciously raised them whenever he was anxious or irritated.
Mammon: Thought the straps over his shoulders and chest would dig into him too much so he'd just walk around completely bare-chested until Barbs made him stop. Discovered that if he got scared by something, he'd squawk REALLY loud. He had to task Belphie and Levi to pop out at him from around corners until he could get it under control.
Levi: Felt like his newly extended tongue was going to choke him if he kept it in his mouth, so he'd let it just droop out for the longest time. He'd have to wet it down to keep it from drying out too, so he would literally do the snake-tongue thing until Asmo got onto him for how creepy it looked. He had no idea how to sit on things with his tail so he would either sit on the floor or sideways in his chair until Barbatos coached him on big-tail etiquette.
Satan: Had a straight up baby giraffe moment when he first can into existence. Couldn't figure out how his limbs were supposed to work and flailed/flopped around for about ten minutes while growling and hissing at anyone who tried to help him.
Asmo: Originally had a scorpion tail, but it horrified him so much that he begged Lucifer to ask Diavolo to remove it for him. Dia eventually relented and ordered Barbatos to remove it and replace it with wings afterwards because that's what he's more used to having. Keeping the wings small and cute looking was Asmo's idea, of course.
Beel: Constant. Buzzing. He had restless wings when he first fell and being around him was like standing next to a buzzsaw. He eventually discovered that exercise was a good way to expend his body's extra energy and burn through his anxiety, so Barbatos set up a gym in the Castle for him. The buzzing stopped shortly after that.
Belphie: Would regularly wake up wrapped up in his own tail, so he took to clutching onto it in the night to "keep it under control." He had the hardest time walking/lifting his head due to the size of his horns. He would regularly get his head stuck in things because he would fall alseep in odd places and then his horns would get caught whenever his body shifted.

TW: MENTIONS OF BODY (MAINLY STOMACH) RELATED INSECURITIES
Imagine being insecure because you don’t feel pretty, you’re too chubby and your stomach isn’t flat enough for you to feel pretty in the sense that the skinny girls are, but you’re too small to feel pretty in the way that the fat girls are, just stuck in the middle- mediocre and medium ugly.
Imagine having that insecurity, but not being able to fully hate your body for it because when Donnie’s been cooped up in his lab not eating, sleeping, or drinking, the only thing that can convince him to leave his lab is the prospect of cuddling with you and being allowed to use your tummy as a pillow. He loves it so much that it steals him away from his unhealthy habits, and even if it can’t make you love yourself, maybe it helps you to have a bit more compassion for yourself and your body

Does Genesis go on a diet after Angeal comments how tiny Sephiroth's waist is?
CW: Body image/body issues
It'll take a lot more than a comment from Angeal to get Genesis Rhapsodos to give up his overpriced coffee—that's 80% sugar—and the handfuls of Red Hots he eats when he's nose-deep in a novel.
Genesis pledged to never again alter his meals to conform to a certain goal ever again. As a child, Hollander crafted dietary plans for him, urging him to "gain a little weight" or "bulk up like the other boys his age," all which made Genesis' frail, "bony" eight-year-old body fill with rage. He sought to cherish and take pride in his body as he matured. Plus, puberty did a number on his height and muscle gain, so why should he feel inferior?
His body both exuded an ambiguous allure when shrouded in layers, and a masculine strength when they were shed—which was just the image SOLDIER wanted from its newly recruited Thirds.
He spent the majority of the war and his youth fixated on becoming a hero, becoming known, building a reputation that everyone would remember. The way all the boys around him seemed to grow in height and weight while he stayed stagnant didn't bother him until he and Angeal were promoted to Second Class, and Sephiroth came along.
Genesis pretended it didn't bother him that Sephiroth and Angeal were the same height. He feigned indifference when Sephiroth complained of growing pains, or how his own arms looked like twigs compared to Angeal's. Admitting to insecurities would be showing weakness—a notion utterly inconceivable to him. He was not weak, no matter what stories his physique told to others.
But Sephiroth's physical perfection tormented him. Genesis couldn't fathom how someone could be so immaculately perfect. One could compose sonnets about Sephiroth's muscle definition, write articles praising the width of his shoulders, and spend hours marveling at his perfectly slender waist.
Nights were spent on Genesis' behalf, choking down envy so that he didn't throw it back up. His waist would never look like that—not without the rest of his body thinning out too.
Sephiroth towered over everyone, and with that long hair of a color that was impossible to replicate with dye, it was like the goddess herself her crafted him from the flesh of the lamb men sacrificed to keep beauty in the world.
And it drove Genesis absolutely mad. Because devoted like he was, he would sacrifice himself on an altar to keep the goddess happy and have everything he could ever want, yet all she granted him was illness and a body that the magazines and articles constantly compared to Sephiroth's.
Honestly, he was grateful when he was promoted to First Class and had the liberty of accentuating his uniform with personal details. He could do anything he wanted, show as much skin and wear the fabric as tight as he pleased.
Yet he couldn't bring himself to do it. He couldn't bear the prospect of standing next to his friend, looking "almost like Sephiroth, but not quite right"
The red leather coat was perfect. It was snug enough in the arms to make his muscle definition visible, bright and captivating to make him stand out, and its shape kept his body ambiguous, inviting positive speculation. It gave him the freedom of not having to worry what his body looked like in public all the time. He was a good actor, great at acting like his own body didn't bother him, and even better at acting like the mere mention of Sephiroth's physical perfection wasn't enough to make the resentment in his heart send him into cardiac arrest.
So to answer your question, he does go on a diet—a mental diet of jealousy, where every meal is bitter, unfulfilling and the end result will surely make him rot.

No, but can you imagine the Body Dysmorphia that Sinners must face?
You go into a realm that feels completely different from yours, and there's no way out. You look down and see your hands, but they're not your hands. They look like a monster. You find the nearest mirror, and you look to see a creature looking back at you. You jump in horror, only to realize it's you. The monster is you.

help I have been afflicted by Boothill brainrot time to share some shitty angst bulletpoints with the class (that I’ll probably turn into a fic later)
I don’t think I have to tag anything specific but be warned there’s probably something bad in here so if you understandably don’t wanna read that then scroll. Expect cyborg related angst (and minor spoilers)
Also I hc Boothill as nonbinary (using he/they and occasionally she) so if you’re wondering about the use of multiple pronouns that’s why, it’s not related to the angst, I just don’t want people to be confused.
-has a sensation of touch on the metal parts of his body, but it’s visibly muted compared to his skin and it drives them nuts
-despises hot/cold temperatures due to how they interact with the metal parts of their body, on especially hot days
-very vulnerable to hacking and it scares the shit out of him (thanks past obsession with Genji for giving me this one, the amount of “Sombra hacks Genji and he has a bad time” stuff I have read is unhealthy, even if she would only do it for the shits and giggles or a mission, a character losing control of their body is unfortunately very compelling please don’t cancel me)
-can’t remember their past life or how he died but still has nightmares of it
-phantom pain is a bitch and her name is Boothill
-won’t be seen as human by most people (even actual people write him this way which is a little weird to me, like I know the Robot/Human tag w Boothill serving as a Robot is probably just for reach, but like, he’s still human, he’s not a robot, he’s a cyborg, idk it’s just a pet peeve of mine)
-has to go to the scientist who made him to get “upgrades” (aka whatever they feel like fucking with this week) against their will
-he can’t remember his old life, but they can remember how their body felt back then and the cyborg one distinctly Doesn’t Feel The Same
-Boothill’s synesthesia beacon doesn’t just prevent Boothill from cursing, it prevents her from saying certain things entirely which makes it very hard for him to express his feelings
-charging induces sleep for them, something which Boothill tries to hide as it could be used against him
-debating between making Boothill unreasonable heavy (because metal) or unreasonably light (because high tech) both scenarios cause problems for him, feel free to torture yourself for as to why
-animals (especially dogs) don’t like them as Boothill doesn’t have as strong a scent nor the flesh of other humans which is why it’s hard for them to trust him, which sucks for Boothill because he loves animals
-doesn’t even know the planet they were originally from or how old he was when he died, Boothill doesn’t even know their birthday, so it ended up becoming the day he was brought back to life against his will
-gets called “it” by people who don’t like cyborgs or people that are non-organic/have nonorganic parts of their body/existence, I also share this for the trailblazer because of their dubious origins, I’d like to believe transphobia isn’t a thing in Star rail because it’s already tiring enough irl and there’s no proof for it unlike other real world problems, so the misgendering happens for other horrible reasons! Horrible reasons that are close to canon considering the whole organic/inorganic war thing depicted by the Sim Uni, I’d imagine a lot of people are still bitter about that (honestly I don’t know the details I was there for the jades) and/or ignorant enough to believe that only fleshy beings have a monopoly on personhood (it/its pronouns are cool but not on people who don’t want to use them!)
-constantly pushes the limits of their body (aka self destructive behavior), I doubt Boothill would be trying to hurt herself but it’s more of a “it will get fixed anyway” kinda thing, any injuries sustained still hurt like a bitch but Boothill forces himself to not care because well “it’s his job and he will get healed anyways” (also it’s implied from their LC that he’s a Galaxy ranger against his will from the whole “never living for themself again” thing, so Boothill probably has to get injured for the job and is just forced to grin and bear it
alright that’s all the angst my sleep deprived brain could cook up for now if I did something wrong or missed a tag pls tell me

Your body dysmorphia post has me Thinking.
Sephiroth and Genesis bodies are ultimately, very much for show.
Sephiroth is built for precision and agility, his blade and skillset meant for quick efficient culling of large groups of enemies or getting to weak spots on monsters. Like a scalpel. His muscles are mostly for his image, rather then from actual training. The mako makes sure he doesn't need as much physical mass for strength.
Genesis is similar. He's naturally slender, and his image is VERY much appearance focused. I mean hes a magic caster above all, so he's built for speed and dodging.
But Angeal? Angeal is all brute fucking force. That man is STRONG and built for it. You see wrestlers and professional strongman with his build, people meant to hit hard and move weight around. He's like an ox. He puts weight on differently then the other two, and he's a foodie! (Also there's probably something with growing up in relative poverty and then not being there anymore.)
And it is honestly inevitable that they're going to be compared. Their the three Firsts, they're seen together a LOT in pr events and such. And its even more inevitable Angeal is going to compare himself as well.
Angeal's phisyque is impressive and I don't doubt Genesis envies him for it sometimes. He's strong and puts on muscle easily, which I imagine is extremely valued in SOLDIER. I agree, the comparisons are inevitable and I could see it affecting all three of them (even Sephiroth, who could favor Gen and Angeal's more "human" looks over his own).
I beg you to forgive my mini rant under the cut. I fell down a rabbit hole, got keyboard-happy, and want to share my thoughts with you lol.
Assuming the east-Asian male beauty standards are the same in the FF7 world, Angeal is essentially friends with two of the most⏤if not the most⏤attractive men on the planet. He would have grown up seeing Sephiroth and Genesis receive praise and admiration for their looks and constantly being compared to them.
I’m not sure what influenced Angeal’s character design exactly, though we can say that Sephiroth and Genesis’ designs are in contrast to the Western ideals, Genesis more so because he was based off of Gackt (specifically Gackt in the 2000s), which means his design adheres to the east-asian male beauty standard. The two are so contrasting because the east-Asian male standards promote more androgynous and softer looks as opposed to the West’s fixation on hyper-masculinity.
I would say Sephiroth is a mix of both. While his design is inspired by Japanese historical figures and features that give him that “bishonen” appeal, his overall design is pretty masculine. He’s tall and muscular. His body, overall fits into the West’s standards while his face is ethereal enough for us to fit it into the east-Asian standards. Aspects that the West would consider effeminate such as the long hair actually used to indicate a warrior’s class. Funnily enough, long hair as a symbol of masculinity used to be a thing across many cultures, not just in Japan.
The thing about Angeal is, he is attractive. He fits the Western male beauty standard down to a T with traits such as being tall, having a muscular build, square jaw, and facial hair. But if indeed the FF7 world’s equivalent of male beauty is the same as Japan’s… Well, maybe getting compared to Sephiroth and Genesis gets to him.
Don’t get it wrong, the comments about his appearance are usually positive, but they’re always about how “strong and ripped and big” he is. Not to mention he constantly gets told how much older he looks than Sephiroth and Genesis despite being the same age as them.
He doesn’t feel attractive, he feels useful. He sees his body as a tool to get his job done. He has the body of a warrior, a Soldier. It’s built for fighting. The problem is, he’s constantly compared to his friends—the same friends who get compared to angels. They stand out, they’re pleasing to look at. He may be at an advantage with his brute force and ideal masculine physique, but—and I cannot stress this enough—men are not immune to body image issues and eating disorders.
I’ll admit that this headcanon partially stemmed from comments I’ve seen about Angeal’s appearance within the fandom. Some people think he’s ugly, which is fine, no one is forced to find anyone attractive. But I imagine the hurtful comments and the constant comparisons to his “more attractive” friends could hurt Angeal if he were to see them in his day to day life. He may be an enhanced super-soldier, but he's still human.
Again, please forgive the word vomit. I just have so many thoughts on this lol
