Really awesome article was published today (April 30th, 2023) about gay rodeo!!!
Please give it a read, and if anyone wants information on how to get involved: where to go watch, or even competing- just let me know. Gay rodeo has been going on since the 60s and has chapters in several states in the US, as well as in Canada. But only has a fraction of the numbers it used to, and very few younger folks.

Trans People are an oppressed group of people who are getting legislated "out of existence". They are being legislated out of sports. They are being legislated out of bathrooms. There is legislation denying them gender affirming care. They are still being discriminated against for employment. They are still being discriminated against for housing. The Rightwing and Reactionaries want to control how Trans People dress and present (what do you think the Drag Bans were about). So why are we still having conversations that Trans People do not exist. If they do not exist, why is the Rightwing so viciously cracking down on them? We have seen Trans People of every race, ethnicity, sex, etc. These people exist. And they are in danger. The Rightwing is going on a full war to erase/eradicate Trans People. The truth is Trans People will always exist (just like Gay People will always exist), but they are being actively oppressed and harmed. This wave of anti-trans legislation and anti-trans rhetoric will lead to suppression of their identity ("being closeted"), will lead to Trans People committing Suicide, will lead to Trans People & Allies being imprisoned, and will lead to Hate Crimes. Whether Anarchist, Communist, Socialist, Social Democrat, Moderates, Liberals, etc. You need to be advocating for and protecting Trans People.

I have a serious question for Transfolk. What's next?
After there is global acceptance of trans people, after everyone is allowed to change their gender with no limitations. After it's put into laws that you can be trans, or genderfluid or non-binary, what's next?
What will changing your gender and refusing to be called a woman or man change. We'll still need a categorization for medical purposes, we'll need to know your sex when checking for symptoms of heart attack. You've created a more inclusive term "uterus havers", "menstruators" etc but how are these different from man/woman. Are uterus havers still not going to suffer from a gross misrepresentation in medical research, when they're in a car accident in a car that was trained on a penis haver dummy's body, will they not suffer like cis-women?
In a fight for more inclusive language regardless of equality/equity, are the people transitioning in and out not still sticking and benefiting/suffering from the same thing as their assigned birth gender. Rape statistics would just change to 90% of uterus havers instead of women. Already we see a difference between TW and TM when it comes to publicity and privilege, the patriarchy has automatically shifted to favour TW while TM only enjoy the reminiscent bystander privilege in the male class. When patriarchy accepts the existence of transfolk, it's just going to start benefiting people under a new name "penis-haver". Already the rapists, victim of rapists, incarcerated fellow for violent crime kind of follow the same pattern as their birth gender, when shelters for uterus havers who have suffered trauma from penis-havers pop up. What exactly is the difference? What exactly will change?
There's a push to normalize transwomen with dicks, feminine transmen, gender conforming nb people. No transition is needed to live your gender. Which is normal, a gender is not defined by clothes or structure but how is this different from the "boys can be feminine, women can be masculine" movement?
And what exactly is the plan to minimize the utter trainwreck that misogynists, capitalists etc are going to make of things while society makes a full transition. When a medication claims to be tested on both men and women and it was actually just tested on cis-men and trans-women and cis-women and trans-men suffer dearly. What language are we going to use to take them to court for violating the law?

In Utah it is now "criminal trespassing" for anyone to use the bathroom that does not align with your gender assigned at birth, with almost no exceptions (you have to present proof that you've had your birth certificate changed (illegal in 5 states) AND had bottom surgery).
this does not just affect trans people.
is there a long line in the women's at the restaurant but the men's is empty? fuck you, you better wait, ma'am.
are you cis but gender non-conforming in some way? get ready to present your birth certificate.
PLUS, not only is it a misdemeanor punishable by 6 months in prison just to GO INTO the "wrong" bathroom, locker room, or changing area, it is a FELONY for a trans person to commit lewd acts, be voyeuristic, OR LOITER- punishable by FIVE YEARS IN PRISON and loss of the right to vote.
do you know what loitering can look like in a bathroom? WAITING FOR A STALL TO OPEN.
what happens if you accidentally lock eyes with someone between the awfully huge gaps between stall doors? Voyeurism, straight to jail, if you're lucky enough to not get shot.
Because guess what, you don't need a gun license to open carry in Utah and the Stand Your Ground Law means people can legally just fucking kill you if you're trespassing, which, again, is now what going into the "wrong" bathroom is called.
Be safe out there, trans Utahns.

If you've come here to idk, annoy me? Harass me about trans men's and trans masc issues? Feel free to look through the transandrophobia and transmisandry tags on my blog. I'd love to hear what you have to say as long as you're not an asshole about it.
For my fellow transmascs: my asks box is always open and I've been wanting to document more trans men and trans mascs experiences. Please please please feel free to vent or submit an ask talking about transmisandry you have experienced or are experiencing. I'm here to listen, anons are Always on.
For my beloved trans sisters: My ask box is always open and I would love to hear about your experiences with transmisogyny. Please, feel free to vent in my askbox about the struggles you are experiencing. I am always here to listen.
For my non-binary siblings: My inbox is always open and I am always here to listen about your experiences with exorsexism. You don't get a voice often enough and I would be honored to listen to it.
All of the above is doubly true if you are a POC, disabled, mentally ill, or are at any other intersection of oppressed identities under the trans umbrella. I am here to listen.

Anytime people talk about trans folks I get reminded of that one friend my mom had who was a prostitute and a trans woman, and although she had a chest she also had a penis because the men who hired her liked it, she was a super fun and outgoing person and she always joked about "I don't like this thing I wanna get it removed! But the men love it so what can I do!?" But still managed to find love and peace with that and herself as long as she got her surgery in the end, I don't know I just think about her a lot, my mom told me so many stories about her and she can't escape my mind like, ever

How do I girl?
Awkward question from a cis-hetero woman to trans folks...I'm happily cis but have always been a tomboy and am neurodivergent in all the ways, and apparently a trait that tends to align with neurodiversity in women is difficulty in performing femininity--like the superficial trappings: style and makeup, but also stuff like communication styles and body language, ect.--which lines right the heck up with my experiences. I pretty much never learned that stuff in adolescence, for various reasons, and now I'm in my thirties and, as I like to say, I don't know how to girl. Which is, as we all know, sliiiiiightly more allowable when you're a kid but not so much in the adult worlds of professional workplaces or dating, and while I'm fine with being the ways I am, the tough reality is that the world grants or withholds opportunities based on ability and willingness to meet other people's expectations, reasonable or not.
So the awkward thing I want to ask is how my trans femme ladies learned feminine body language specifically. I figure a lot of it is just a person’s inherent self being allowed to be expressed instead of tamped down but also I've seen older movies or TV shows where a trans character uses videos or DVDs specifically made for trans women to learn this stuff, and--this feels like the clueless thing to ask--is that even a thing anymore? If I were to go on YouTube, what would I search for? Right now I'm just getting these gag-inducing tradwife wannabes talking about how "God likes pretty girls and don't you want to honor your sacred femininity" blah blah bleeeech. Basically, I like my own tomboyish femininity plenty, but I need to learn body language in a more traditionally feminine way so I can mask my neurodivergence better.
I hope this isn't clueless or harmful in any way, I'm genuinely really sorry if it is and that's part of why I haven't asked until now--this feels like one of those "I don’t know what I don't know so I might accidentally put someone else's eye out in my flailing" things, so if I'm making any assumptions I shouldn't be or costing someone any mental bandwidth they didn't want to give up, and you have the spoons to tell me that gently, I want to be the best ally I can be and would appreciate it, and you have my sincere apologies. I wish you a better day than you’ve had so far and that you happen upon puppy kisses that help make it so. So...can anyone give me a hand in finding some sort of resources? What should or could I be looking for?

When a transman wears "traditionally" feminine outfits? Stunning. When a transwoman wears "menswear"? 10/10 amazing. I love when trans people thrive and express themselves however they want, regardless of gender norms.

The Royal Blue Network
The Royal Blue Network is an LGBT site seeking to say goodbye to mediocrity when it comes to queer story telling. No more will throw away lines and queer characters dreamt up solely to check a representation box suffice. For too long, the massive and beautifully complex queer community has been diluted and grossly simplified for the comfort of non queer folks, budgets, and big studios executives. The Royal Blue Network is here to prove that there is an audience that seeks beautifully crafted and complex queer stories. There are audiences that want trans main characters, bisexual heroes, queer good guys and bad guys and . There is a market for queer focus stories, and The Royal Blue Network is here to serve that audience, to give them what everyone deserves; quality, real, conversation starting representation.
