“i can’t believe you…” he murmurs to himself, shaking his head. giggling, you wrap your arms around his torso, leaning in and placing a soft peck to his jaw line, his disgruntled face amusing you by the second. draken, your stoic and seemingly cold boyfriend, could be a bit dramatic when he wanted to be. and though you didn’t get to witness it often, you loved every second of it.

“ken, you’ll live, you big baby. get into the bath, the water’s gonna get cold.” nudging him forward, you help him climb into the tub, being mindful of the bruises forming over various spots on his pale skin.

“but my shower—”

“you don’t need the shower cap! now get in,” you scold. pouting slightly—though he’ll never admit it—he grumbles as he situates himself, sighing when the warm water soothes over his tense muscles, and leans against the tile. the soft scratching of your nails over his scalp makes him close his eyes, and you take in the sight with a smile.

he’s always been pretty like this, when he trusts you, letting you get a glimpse of him with an edge of vulnerability. leaning down, you press a gentle kiss to his forehead, and he leans in, silently asking for another before you can pull away.

“i’ll skip the shampoo then,” he mutters.

“no. now close your eyes and tilt your head back, i’ll wash your hair,” you say firmly. scoffing, he swats your hand away when you move to squirt shampoo onto his scalp, eyeing the bottle in distaste.

“why would you throw it out? i need it,” he insists.

“ken,” you groan. “can’t you wash your hair like a normal person? you won’t get shampoo in your eyes, okay?” he clicks his teeth in disbelief.

“you’re not slick, you tried this last time too. look me in the eyes and tell me you didn’t mean to hurt me,” he points a finger accusingly. “you tried to blow bubbles into my eyes last time we took a bath together. on purpose.” biting back a smile, you cross your arms, looking away indignantly.

“that was an accident,” you claim. “i would do no such thing.” draken doesn’t buy it, but he’s grown used to your many, many antics by now.

“bullshit,” he growls. “you’re not washing my hair,” he grabs the bottle of shampoo from you, lathering it in his hair himself. and you can see through the small wince of pain he tries to hide as he lifts his shoulder, making your heart tug a little. gently guiding his arm down, you cup his cheek, rubbing over the soft skin with your thumb. he leans in ever so slightly.

“just let me do it, you idiot,” you shake your head. “you should be more careful out there, you know,” your voice holds a small trace of worry, and he turns to press a kiss to your palm, placing his hand on top of yours.

it’s nice, he thinks, having someone waiting at home to greet him, someone who worries over his well being. and even if his conscience is ridden with guilt at the way your eyes dim with every bruise and cut they glance over, he can’t help but crave more of you, more of your affection, more of your love. sighing, he gives in.

“don’t get shampoo in my eyes,” he warns, and he scowls when you laugh, but his heart swells at the sound. and even if it’s engraved in his brain from hearing it every day, it always feels like he’s hearing the sweet sound for the first time.

“okay,” you roll your eyes.

“and i’m getting a new cap. don’t even think about touching it,” he adds, laughing when you go to slap his chest. he catches your hand before you can, pressing a tiny kiss to the inner wrist. and with a happy sigh, he relaxes into the water, letting himself indulge for once the feeling of being taken care of.

29. ”Wait. Your mother’s coming?” Draken, gn!yn

here ya go~

“Okay, so we still have to go back to the vegetable aisle, but first we can take all the dairy, the rest is on the way anyways. And– oh, baby, take these cookies pretty please,” you speak to your boyfriend, your forearms on the trolley handle, as you check the shopping list on the phone.

“The chocolate chip ones?” Draken mutters, eyeing at you with one brow up. You nod. “Why?” A question leaves his mouth as he throws two packs of the cookies on the top of a huge pile of groceries, and continues to walk in front of you.

“It’s always good to have something sweet for any emergency, dontcha think?” You chuckle, placing a few packages of gummies into the cart.

“Maybe so,” he replies, glancing over the shelves for other products on your long list. “But you don’t like this brand, so I’m just a bit surprised.”

“Oh!” You giggle. “These are not for me, silly, but for my mom!”

“Wait.” Suddenly Draken stops moving, and you drive the trolley right into your boyfriend’s ass. “Fuck. Tch. Babe,” he groans, rubbing his backbone, while looking at you, your apologetic gaze turning his voice softer, “your mother’s coming?”

You nod eagerly, tiny stars flickering on the surface of your irises like glitter. “Yeah! You’re supposed to pick her up from the train station tomorrow! Did you forget?” You tilt your head to the side observing the man, and you can swear his ears reddens with a feeling of shame.

“Uhh… well… Of course not, darling,” he stutters, biting on his lower lip. “Just tell me when exactly will she be there, and I’ll of course be there to pick her up,” Draken doesn’t lie often, but sometimes there’s a must for it and this rare sometimes seems to be today.

You try your best not to chuckle at his expression, ‘cause you don’t want to embarrass him even more. The man quickly pulls the phone out of his pocket, texting Inupi to take care of the shop while he performs the duties of the true master of the house, and an even bigger emotion of shame fills him as Seishu tells him he remembers about your mother's visit, making him the only one who’s forgotten.

mikey had convinced you to meet up with him at his favorite restaurant, draken will be here ;). just as he said, draken was there across from mikey in the booth. “y/n! glad you could make it,” mikey waved you over and scooted to make room. you sat across from draken, nervous to make eye contact so you smile at mikey. “oh hey y/n, i didnt know you were joinin us- ill grab you some fries.” draken got up to go order for you. your smile faded as you gave mikey the side eye. “mikey. i swear if this is your plot to get me and draken together, im going to-” mikey interrupts,“i cant help it, you’re so obvious and draken isn’t.. so obvious?” you look over at draken, the feelings you had for him have only grown. you met emma, which caused you to meet mikey and draken. ever since you met draken, there has always been those small feelings. draken hadn’t seen to reciprocate those feelings so you’ve always pushed them off. “mikey, he’s just so kind and attractive. i want to be his, but i dont know if i can.” you told mikey, returning from your daydream. draken had placed the tray in front of you, which caused you to jump. had he heard what i said? you thought. he sat down in front of you, acting like he hadn’t heard anything. somehow mikey had slipped away, leaving you two alone. “i heard what you said.. no one’s ever talked about that way,” draken admitted. as your face grew red, he continued, “and about those feelings, let me take you out on a date so i can officially make you mine.”

match no. 008 | it’s a (blind) date!

You don’t know who would show up at the blind date, could there be possibly someone who’d like to go somewhere they don’t even know of? Yes, there was. The man possesses even more qualities that you like.

In the middle of the day, you were riding a train off to somewhere you have never gone to. It was quite packed and so the both of you were left standing, he was holding the small of your back, supporting you.

You looked up to the man which let you meet a pair of pleasing purple eyes. Although it was a little noisy (and his eyes got you mesmerized) you were able to hold up a conversation with him.

“So… Rindou?”

“Yes, Pretty?”

A smile occupied your lips. “I’m just curious as to why you were interested in this blind date and all.”

“Oh, it was because I thought it’s interesting.” He didn’t let your eyes go, staring straight into them. “I didn’t expect anyone to match with me. You’re interesting. I’m looking forward to getting to know you better.”

As the bus came to a stop, Rindou held your waist tightly. “Here we are, Pretty! Now, shall we go on an adventure?”

FIREFLIES

the night was calm, there were a few clouds on the sky and the moon was shining so bright. it was nor cold nor hot, it was a perfect climate, a perfect night. kazutora arrived home after a long, long day at the pet shop, it seemed like a few clients went there just to test his patience.

the house was in an unusual silence, he was curious since on normal days the first thing he'd see when he first entered home was you on the couch watching some tv, or fallen asleep. he walked through the house and finally spotted you on the backyard, a few lamp posts were lighting up the sight.

he leaned over the door while watching you, on the back of the house there was a little lake, and that would often attract the most various insects. at the moment you were running all over the grass trying to catch some fireflies, collecting them on a jar. he was completly lost on that view, the warm and comfort feeling growing on his heart.

the moment you saw him was the moment you tripped over you own feet and fell into the ground, he laughed and walked on your direction, helping you to get up and checking if you weren't hurt. "welcome home!" you say while hugging him.

"thanks for being with me, i love you" he kisses the top of your head. he was so grateful for having you on his life, every night you two would cuddle together until you both fall asleep, and that was the only way for kazutora to not have insomnia. by your side he was comfortable enough to not be afraid to fall asleep, to not be afraid of his own mind. you were his safe place, and his favorite thing on earth was to catch you doing the most random things, just like tonight, just like everyday. just you being you.
