• Lucky/Lefty
This one is So special to my heart and its so silly really, i just think they would look so cute together. Im under the impression that Lefty is a touch younger than Lucky, based on his voice, position in the shop, etc. i like to imagine that Lefty grows up looking up to Lucky for a long time and never knows why hes just about Leftys ‘favorite friend’ when one day he drops his freakin hot dog in shock after realizing that he very much thinks of Lucky when hes not even around, what he might be up to, being mad when he talks to ladies, MUCH, much like someone who has a big fat crush.
He puts it off forever and thinks hes maybe just Going Crazy, takes Pinky on an unsuccessful date, does all these ‘manly’ things that he was taught growing up.
I like to think that there would be a dance at the school, and Lefty doesn’t feel like going with anyone. No one matches up with the feelings he’s been having for his best friend.
Lucky, being his right hand (lol) man, still makes him go because, “theres plenty of broads here who’ll dance with ya”
And when Lefty is spending time out in the lot, instead of inside the gym with everyone else, Lucky comes looking for him. I think he would notice when Lefty is upset or deterred, given his typical upbeat personality.
I think that Lefty would babble about how he hasnt felt right and that he thinks somethings up with him, maybe eating those hotdogs from the gasstation all the time isnt a good idea.
But Lucky gets it.
Nothing big happens, Lucky pulls him in by his shoulder, both boys far more snazzy-looking than they ever did on a regular day. They would take things really slow, so much so that no one even hardly has an inclination that they might be together for a WHILE. It would probably take an observation from Vance, i imagine, being queer himself.
I actually love to imagine that Vance catches Lucky bringing Lefty lunch and cigarettes, and its like that scene in spongebob where spongebob realizes squidward likes krabby patties LMAOOO
I feel like they would have a VERY sweet relationship, very casual around the other greasers, like best friends who are joking about bikes and then they start smooching. They might be more careful in public, especially on their side of town, where some less-than-tasteful opinions are shared on minorities, but they would still be very much proud of their relationship :,3 these r two i could see being highschool sweethearts and being fiances/married in the future.. sighs queerly
• Tad/Parker

This is a pairing i love because its so sweet, but also so tragic just generally because of their statuses and reputations :((( 💔
I think this interest would start on Parkers end, honestly! He seems very sweet, compared to a lot of the Preps. He is also a hopeless romantic at heart, and always dreams of having someone to take care of and make happy, regardless of gender, really.
I think Parker would notice how he feels about Tad very clearly. He realizes that he’s hoping to spar with Tad more often, urging to his friends that “Tad needs the practice with someone who believes in him!” and they all look at him like. What Do You Mean By That..
And then when Tad comes around with bruises that didn’t originate from their matches, Parker worries. It’s summer, so, the sunglasses on Tad’s head arent exactly unusual for the weather, persay, but unusual for HIM.
Parker knows he can’t exactly beat Mr. Spencer till he sees jesus, so he settles for making Tad comfortable. Parker wears sunglasses, anytime Tad does.
I think that they would be very secretive, considering that their families both want them to grow up, take over companies, and marry a woman, who might or might not be blood related to them. That idea is distasteful to both, of course, so they spend their alone time in the boxing ring, or in Parker’s room at the Harrington house, dreaming of an intertwined life in the City.
Besides, they know they arent the only ones sharing a bed on occasion behind these walls.. (cough theyre all gay)
These two would probably have an exclusive, secret relationship in highschool, break up for college and to maintain their secret, and would end up inevitably meeting again in their adult lives. I like to think that they would try to just have a friendship, but wouldn’t be able to ignore how intimate they used to be with one another.

I think that Justin has a big fat disgusting crush on Ted Thompson. He is REVOLTED and so inlove.
I like to think that Justin possibly played football as a child, or has an interest in it. Maybe this is just because he wants to grow closer to Ted, but i can actually see him wanting to play football on occasion.
He would go to football games, insisting to his friends that he was going to watch the Jocks fail, and to pull pranks, however, no one ever sees him doing…any of that.
Usually, hes perched in the bleachers, eyes trailing a body on the feild as they pound down other players and the rival. He’s kind of obvious, but he will always deny any sight of him pining.
Justin keeps a journal much much like a girl. I dont mean boys dont have journals, but Justins is solely for all his queer thoughts and gossip when Gord is busy and can’t listen to him bitch through a glass of brandy.
This journal has plenty of daydreams of Ted written in it, handwriting messy in the areas where Justin felt particularly embarrassed to feel this way, almost like if he wrote it sloppy enough, it wouldn’t be eligible, therefore, not real!!!
I think being a jock, the school would have Ted put in Art class and shop class, to try and level out his education and make sure it wasn’t all football.
Therefore, Justin and Ted get paired one fateful day for an art project. They have to do portraits of eachother. Both are very ticked about it, but.. maybe moreso ted, than Justin, because he has way too much fun during those couple of days.
He has an excuse to sit with Ted Thompson! And Talk to him!!! Oh me oh my!
And he does just that, he talks his way into sitting with Ted at lunch, and convinces him that they really need to finish this project, considering Ted’s grades are constantly suffering when he isn’t paying nerds to do his work.
Ted is a tough guy, and everyone knows it, its painted on his face. However, when Justin finishes his portrait a day or so later, Ted is stood infront of him, face looking dumb as ever. Because, justin is a great artist. He wishes the kid could have done his highlights with the way he captures him on lead-smudged sketch paper.
And Ted asks to keep it! Justin is extremely stupid in love and obviously accepts, running off to the Harrington house to bury himself in his bed and scream.
I think they would have a rlly cute back and forth non-exclusive thing going on..Justin insists on studying with him to get his grades up, alone, in Ted’s dorm room, of course :3 Ted walks him around sometimes because hes just sure that Justin will run his mouth to someone who would take it way personal, Justin constantly quips that he can handle himself, but never deters the Jock when he comes around to chaperone Vandervelde to his locker.

i may seem to lean in more towards romanticism of zolu but imma be real here
theyre a whole secret third thing to me like— idk how to explain it it other than their love and bond transcends what romance and platonic. yes i will draw them smooching and have hearts flying all around them but it is not exactly romantic/platonic... (i mean honestly i dont mind how ppl interpret zolu whether its my art or in general)
bc i saw this one comic that just... perfectly described zolu and the strawhats to me? it was about law catching zolu and then discussing with the other strawhats about it and they explained that luffy does in fact love everyone equally and the same. for luffy, romantic nor platonic is Not a thing to him. (this is how i view luffy's aroaceness !! love isnt a category for him. love isnt something he could just pick and choose or whatever. love is just... loving someone. love is for the people very dear to him.) and in the comic, the strawhats say that zoro's the one and only guy who could keep up with luffy's energy and antics. so they dont mind the things they do together in privacy or in front of them. they know how much luffy loves them ALL EQUALLY and they all love him back
on topic of zolu and aroace... i've been around spaces and talked to a few zolu shippers (qpr shipping count) and noticed how many of us are at least on the aro/ace spectrum. there's just Something about zolu's special relationship that attracts us, and if you ship them and are aro/ace, im certain you'd agree. (even if you arent, we can mutually agree that they are a third thing, right?) like, theres something so... aroace about their relationship. they can be seen as romantic and they can be seen as platonic, but what can be absolutely certain is that their relationship is definitely queer. bc it's not something you can easily describe or that their relationship is The Norm. theyre insane for each other. luffy's the sun. zoro's the moon. luffy's a good. zoro's the king of hell. they complete each other. they absolutely need each other.
my memory is horrible and i cant say the words properly but basically: zolu's love and relationships transcends romance and platonically. yes you can see it as either, but as an aroace, i Feel it is way beyond that.
and again, will repeat it a million times over (mind you, it's not canon. it's a widely accepted HEADCANON. if you think luffy's sexuality is something else, thats cool): i believe that luffy's aroaceness is way beyond "not interested in attraction/xyz/whatever" like yeah, he doesn't think about it because it doesnt matter much to him. he doesnt apply whats romantic or platonic to HIS relationships. he can recognize romantic, sexual, platonic things. it's just not his thing to really think hard about (he doesnt think much in the first place (affectionage)) he feels love for the people he cares about and if they feel loved by him, however he approaches the love (and if they accept that kind of form) thats all that matters to him. he doesnt label/categorize love because it makes no sense to Him to prioritize someone over the other just bc he loves that someone a different way. he loves everyone equally and treats them as equals.
and when it comes to Any luffy ships, calling his significant other "partner" is what fits best. theyre not just best friends, theyre partners.
this is a mess of a rant but this is just how i feel abt zolu, luffy, his ship pairs, and his aroace hc :]

i don't think i like the presentation of rem's iconic speech. there's no context shown for it, i was scared luida was gonna take it, but here its just loosely connected. in fact, i don't think it really matches at all. originally it was about rem and vash wanting to die, they argue you have something to live for, and vash uses it to be hopeful and say people can change even when they've done bad. here it gives off the impression that vash can live to be useful to the humans, therefore he'll finally earn their respect (which is bad lol). even if its related to vash's apparent guilt of knives being able to drop everyone from the sky, its not clear enough. the audience doesnt know the context

YESSS another person out there who reads Mara Sov as autistic!
YES YES YES hope its ok i answer this publically if not not ill delete it as an ask and just post it BUT she is sooooo very much autistic to me like. i love her sooooo much and thats a huge huge part of it ESPECIALLY bc she gets to be SO delightfully complex and morally gray and a deeply sympathetic character who still is a bit of a horrible person sometimes which just ISNT something we GET a lot as autistic ppl like. augh!!! mara sov was constructed in a lab for me to care about.
anyway im not citing stuff bc im on mobile and copypasting to the tumblr app is Hell but i have fully read the marasenna like 4 times in the last 2 months so this is going to be rambly as all hell but:
-talk about fucking black and white morality. going back to earth is the Right Thing To Do and she will absolutely condemn* her entire colony ship to mortality for that.
-her conviction that she knows secrets and things no one else knows, that she is always in control in a way others arent, and her Need for that to be true, and her sense of herself as separate/better/other/above the rest and having a connection to a deeper knowledge. i feel like theory of mind gets tossed around as a dsm checkbox without people like. fully understanding the nuances of it.
-relatedly her... mercenary? approach to the social interactions and relationships she has (and her utter panic and confusion when she cannot use her models that she has, eg sjur). like she may not be able to Feel what other people feel but she can certainly pattern-match and manipulate.
-her absolutely oversized eldest daughter & gifted kid syndrome taken to absolutely absurd extremes (thanks osana and alis li!) bc of what authority figures told her to be true about herself at 19. (one of the times she had to dramatically readjust her model of How Social Interactions Work- the concept that how she is perceived is Her Responsibility which she immediately internalizes as Law). ALSO osana saying that mara never wanted to be her daughter like. ok we get it ur kid is strange and acts "older than her age" and is more self-possessed than a child her age should be except when shes not.
-god just. honestly everything about how shes written. idr if u have read seth dickinson's published books (the traitor baru cormorant) but baru from those books is SO SO SO similar like. ruthless in that the ends justify absolutely any means, self-centered, brilliant with a massive blindspot where it comes to emotions, manipulative bc she relies on a carefully constructed understanding of how social interactions work, most importantly disastrously world-shatteringly gay.
also i feel like part of it is that a lot of the traits and things that make me read mara as autistic are like... internal experience traits that arent easily recognizable by allistic ppl bc they dont Have a recognizably autistic-specific external manifestation and instead come off as like. being a bitch or selfish or stuck up or cold or Whatever. but are like immediately viscerally recognizable if u experience things the same way.
maybe at some point ill make an Actual Post abt mara sov, the travelers most autistic creature. but so much of it is Unexplainable Vibes. if u kno u kno. also thank u for sending this ask and giving me a chance to talk abt mara i love her SO much.

I stumbled across your tumblr and it prompted me to ask: how are you so unashamed about being proship/shipping rick x morty? I'm 16 years old and I started shipping them when I was 14 and It's my deepest secret. I've always been ashamed by it and thought something was seriously wrong with me, but you have this whole account and even talk to others about it. I'm almost envious.
Honestly, my unashamed-y of my posting of ships, not just rickorty, was a long journey for me.
Its probably because of my bipolar impulsiveness, but when I meet people irl, the first thing I tell them is I ship Rickorty. RnM is my hyperfixation right now, so it's all i can talk about anyway. It's just my way of chasing off any antis I might meet irl.
I am almost TOO unashamed, perhaps lol. Them getting married is my lockscreen.
But I wasn't always like that. I only learned to be open about it thanks to finding out my romantic partner was also secretly proship. Being able to talk to faer about it helped me to realize that there isn't anything wrong with it.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. Finding taboo things interesting is normal. Regardless of whether you use it to cope or just find the dynamic appealing, it doesn't say anything about you as a person. Fiction isnt reality. It often connects to reality in a lot of ways, but they are still seperate planes of existence.
Being openly proship is hard. Right now, my notifications are filled with people arguing on my Simpsons and Family Guy posts. Depending on the fandom, sometimes I can't interact with anyone in it.
I haven't gotten any death threats on this account yet, but I've gotten plenty in the past. Including uncensored gore and racist, homophobic, and transphobic comments.
Sometimes, having a proship account isn't the right thing for a proshipper. I only have one because I've been in a super good place mentally for a while (partly because of RnM).
But that doesn't mean you can't find proship communities! Having a sideblog with asks and everything else turned off just for reblogging art and posts of your problematic ships is a good way to make small connections while avoiding the Antis. If you have a discord, proship servers are all over disboard!
Being in proship communities was *so* relieving for me the first time I did it. You don't have to walk on eggshells anymore.
My DMs are always open if you need someone to talk to (just keep in mind I am 20 lol), and I'd be happy to provide my discord too.
I hope you find people who support you, you deserve more than you probably know.

since you've seen catws over 30 times, can you give a summary of the plot? I've actually seen the movie multiple times, but gun to my head I cannot explain the flow of events. I press play and am transported to pure vibes. so i'd like to consider you an expert and helo me with my dilema.
this is so funny yeah i can try. edit: essentially this is not a summary i realized three paragraphs in that i am delivering a play by play with commentary of everything that happens in this movie. im still doing it though sorry
so basically steve has been adjusting to life in the 21st century and is really struggling with it. hes moved to dc to work for shield, which he understands to be a department that helps folks (which is a dumb thing to assume of any government affiliated organization LOL they were also majorly manipulating him on top of that from the get go so double whammy but ya ya i digress) while on a run, he makes friends with sam wilson, who unlike basically anyone else in the 21st century so far is the only guy to treat him as a normal guy/what he actually is (a veteran w ptsd that 1 lost his best friend 2 has been thrown into a whole new world with no help at all and that the war was literally like what? barely 2 years ago for him?)
anyway after he meets sam he is picked up by nat and they go on a mission with brock rumlow and several shield agents. this mission takes place on a ship in the middle of the ocean where several shield agents are being held hostage by french speaking terrorist dudes. steve (the smart cookie) is like why the hell are shield guys in the middle of the ocean? anyway he thinks hes leading this mission (he is not) and tells everyone what to do to save these hostages (which isnt even the actual mission at all). inevitably this comes to light when he sees nat trying to save some data from the ships computers, as that was HER secret mission. steve is fucking pissed as hell about this and then they got blown up and shit by the french pirates. they get out fine tho
moving on steve confronts fury like. why the hell are the people IM trying to lead being given different info and instructions than me? and fury is like let me tell u about something. and then he tells them about project insight, which is this thing that shield is planning to launch that will be able to basically insta kill any body in the entire world they identify as a threat (threat being vague enough bc well as we can see we learned nothing from basically any part of history at all) before the person can act on their "intended crimes". steve is pissed again bc like who are these guys to determine who is a "threat"? how do you define that? like his iconic line here (iconic 2 me that is) is him saying "this isnt freedom this is fear" cause like it is. losers
and moving on from that we've got a kind of suspicious fury trying to decrypt the data he had nat retrieve. this is presumably bc fury as we know is apparently 5 steps ahead of every fucking body and was already having some concerns about project insight (which again i must say as an aside. any normal person would be concerned.). fury being the head of shield is one of the only individuals who should have total clearance on all shield decisions and projects etc. however, he finds that he does NOT have clearance to access this data. he takes this concern to alexander pierce, the secretary of state is like omg weird :) how weird bro sure i can ask about delaying the project but if ur asking me bro i dont think the other govt bigwigs we got in on this will want to!
anyway moving on once more fury is officially like ok wtf is going on. and is going to meet up with hill. BUT THEN. explody violence killing blah blah blah all these cops and swat members are after him! HIM! HEAD OF SHIELD! how strange! and furys like doin all this shit trying to escape but then his car gets exploded. and oh shit. theres this guy. hes got a mask on. HE WAS THE ONE THAT EXPLODED THE CAR! and hes kind of sexy. and hes approaching. and fury the crazy bitch has used some sort of laser cutter thing to carve a hole through the ground and escape. the absolute legend.
cut to steve going home. he runs into his neighbor who has told him that hes a nurse or some shit. he flirts with her bc hes trying to make a normal life for himself i guess and do normal girl things like date. anyway neighbor girl is like oh btw i think u left or record player on? music has been playing for a while and shit. and steve is immediately like omg rly haha? BUT HE KNOWS HE DIDNT LEAVE THAT SHIT ON BRO! HE KNOWS. and he enters with his guard all up and BOOM theres fury. steve is like wtf are you doing here??? and fury is like SHHHH. bro things are happening its crazy. shield compromised, eyes everywhere, people are listening, the whole shebang man. and steve is like???? wtf dude? and fury gives him a flash drive. AND THEN FURY IS SHOT THROUGH THE WINDOW. CRAZY AS HELL. and NEIGHBOR LADY BREAKS IN. TURNS OUT SHES NOT NEIGHBOR LADY. SHES A SHIELD OPERATIVE THAT IS COVERTLY ASSIGNED TO PROTECT STEVE.
now we got steve chasing over the assailant with his cool tell them im in pursuit line. steve chases this dude across buildings and shit and throws his shield at him when they reach the end of a rooftop. then HOLY FUCK THE GUY. HES CAUGHT THE SHIELD. THIS DUDE JUST CAUGHT A VIBRANIUM SHIELD WITH A COOL ROBOT ARM! OK!
moving on fury is on the operating table and he straight up dies there with maria and nat and steve watching. and i dont wanna look it up but i think here is when steve hides the flash drive in a vending machine behind some gum for some fucking reason. why the hell that would be a good place to hide it idk. anyway steve is summoned to pierce and pierce with his robert redford charm is like so :) anything u wanna tell me. and steve is like. :) no lol. and then he leaves and we’ve got the cool ass elevator scene where steve is with an elevator full of hydra agents and has to fight them all, including brock rumlow from the hostage ship scene at the beginning. he escapes and goes back to get the flash drive and nat has gotten it and blows a bubble in his face cause shes sexy like that. and they have their little moment where he shoves her against a wall and is all up in her face being like WHAT DO YOU KNOW WHATS GOING ON. and nat reveals that she knows who the guy is. the winter soldier. she met him on a mission where she was trying to protect some dude and the WS shot the person THROUGH HER. bye bye bikinis she quips. dw nat ur still sexy 2 me.
they leave and essentially go to a mall have their fake/pretend relationship ao3 moment and use a mall tech shop computer to figure out whats on the flashdrive, which is coordinates to a base. steve is like uMMMMM WTF. I DID BASIC THERE. and they go and discover that theres a SECRET SHIELD BUNKER WITH THIS HUGE ANCIENT ASS SUPERCOMPUTER. AND TO MAKE IT WORSE ON THE COMPUTER IS THE STORED CONSCIOUSNESS OF ARNIM ZOLA NAZI HYDRA SCIENTIST. and zola tells them he was recruited by shield where he helped secretly embed hydra iinto the entirety of the organization and the WS was an assassin they used to kill ppl like howard stark. and then a missile tries to blow them up after zolas gotten out enough cheeky lines and they barely escape with their lives
then: ENTER BIG SEXY. its sam wilsons time to fucking shine when nat and steve go to him for help. sam is like alright lets go and they get his falcon suit. they go and nab jasper sitwell a hydra mole and make him reveal hydra info, ie that hydra has been collecting info on threats to their evil doings (hello duh). then theyre driving and WHAM goodbye sitwell, motherfuckers yanked out the car by the WS. cue huge epic fight scene, best in the mcu if you ask me, where steve and WS end up going head to head and he accidentally rips WS' mask off, revealing BUCKY BARNES, the supposed to be dead bestie of steve rogers. steve says bucky? bucky says. who the hell is bucky? with his sexy underused voice. my beloved.
anyway steve is in an extreme state of shock and bucky, unnerved, runs, and steve sam and nat are all arrested. steve has his new mission acquired moment whereas nat and sam are like man idk.... hes kind of yknow a renowned insane murder machine. steve is like you literally do not get it. hes my fucking cinnamon apple you assholes. i will kill this whole world for him. and they are like damn steve ok AND THEN. VIOLENCE IN THE FUCKING SWAT VEHICLE WHEN ONE SWAT MEMBER STARTS ATTACKA KILLING THE OTHER ONES. and boom thats actually maria hill in disguise. shes like whats up yall. theyre like um. anyway she takes them to FURY, who is ACTUALLY STILL ALIVE AND JUST FAKED HIS DEATH. fury is like you guys have to stop this shit. here are some chips to replace the ones on the helicarriers that will fuck up hydras plans and make the helicarriers only target each other
anyway buckys back with hydra being like um did yall see that? he knew me. and theyre all like gaslight gaslight gaslight brainwash electro shock blah blah blah
moving on its time to fuck shit up. the world security council has shown up to see to the launch of project insight. except NAT IS ONE OF THE WSC IN DISGUISE and she disarms pierce. then fury shows up like hiiii hello in a way that actually doesnt feel super dramatic cause they watch him land and then walk all the way inside like ok. by the time hes there not even super anticlimactic but whatever. anyway fury makes pierce leak all of shields classified info (including nat’s criminal past as part of the red room but shes like its fine its necessary etc) so that ppl know about hydra. and fury shoots and kills pierce bye bye pierce
steve is at this time recruiting all the “good” shield guys and fighting all the hydra agents with sam while trying to get to the helicarriers. they get the first two no prob but before they can do the third one bucky shows up newly mindwiped and fights them super much. he destroys sams suit leaving the fight to just buck and steve. meanwhile brock and sam are fighting slash running and this ends with brock getting exploded to shit and sam jumping into a helicopter to escape from the building. meanwhile bucky and steve are still on the third helicarrier. steve is like babe this isnt u…… come back 2 me……. im with u til the end of the line……. and refuses to fight back and buck is like UMMM WHAT THE FUCK. SHUT THE HELL UP YOU WEIRDO STOP TALKING IM FREAKIN OUT and beats steve the fuck up. during this fight the ship is exploded and steve falls off the ship and into the potomac with bucky watching him fall with his fist raised to land another punch
cut to steve going super under semi unconscious about to fucking drown and someone pulls him out. OH LOOK ITS BUCKY. oh damn hes leaving steve on the shore. goodbye bucky.
now we cut to all the hydra agents being arrested and nat appearing before court for her red room crimes. she is like you wont fucking arrest me you need me. im sexy and competent and you all suck. and theyre all like. yeah ok shes got a point. fury fucking burns all his shit and decides to go hunting hydra in europe, presumed dead by the world. sam is like heyyy steve. whats up. steve is like well. i know he just fucked me up but im gonna go find bucky. i gotta bc i am gay and in love with him and stuff. and sam is like damn. fine ill go too then. meanwhile brock is revealed to have lived though severely burned in the hospital
i am ignoring the mid credits scene bc i fucking hate that stupid bullshit. post credit scene slays though bc its bucky visiting his own memorial in the smithsonian and him being like well damn that is me. ok.
anyway thats the movie. this is long as hell but frankly thats bc i am still insane about catws to this day unfortunately. goodbye

Summary : a secret relationship
It shouldn't be like this staring at her and feeling like you shouldn't. You've had other small crushes like Peter, Jason, and well that a rather inappropriate school girl crush on Loki. And you never thought twice about it, about being scared of the questions. You knew they would never judge you, not even the all-American cap. But you just couldn't deal with all the questions. Or maybe he would, the only one that really knows is your friend group.
MJ was the first person you told, once Peter met you he knew Mj would love you and you guys have become inseparable since. From then, you felt like it was right to tell the rest of them, how else would they know who to set you up with?
Even if the family did accept you, the outside world would never. Maybe that's why you wanted to hide this because Peter would never shut his trap.
They didn't even know you guys were hooking up, not even your sister. Natasha knew everything about you. You guys were quite opposites in that way, she loved being quiet about herself but you, well you loved to talk about anything that went on in your mind. But this one thing you couldn't.
This was new, this was exciting.
“What are you staring at”, Natasha asked. She caught you, you were sure this was the end of it. But instead, she smiled and said, “you like Peter don’t you?”
God she really was clueless wasn’t she?
You took a deep breath. Currently, everyone was doing their own thing. And you were staring at Wanda. When weren’t you staring at her?
It really only started as a fling, you both went on a horrible mission and kissed each other passionately as an aftermath of it. You guys wanted to see where things would lead but telling the team would ruin it. So you guys kept it quiet. Why should it matter anyway that you guys weren’t serious right?

You always got calls from the other side of new york. Gotham City. You were mostly friends with the superheroes. But Jason Todd, something just drew you to him. Nights of walking all the way over there to fight crime. He was just in awe of you.
But years have passed and it's been harder to travel all the way to Gotham all the time, so he calls you every night.
You took walks late at night close to the compound of course, and your mind always drifted to her. From her amazing personality to the way she always knew how to make you smile. It was different from how you felt with MJ. This just felt so cruel.
So you screamed “I LOVE YOU ISNT THAT THE WORST THING YOU EVER HEARD”, you quickly shrank to the shadows. Even though this was new york it still was embarrassing.
You closed your eyes, it was past 12, which was when you get to spend time with Wanda.
But before you could start walking to the compound your phone started ringing. It was Jason Todd.
“Hey,” you whispered into the phone.
“What wrong? Jason said back.
You smiled and shook your head, “it's-.” But you couldn't tell him, even though he didn't even know her. You just couldn't.
“I know when my best friend is not okay.”
You smiled, of course, he would know. He knew you too well. And he would use this as a way to convince you to join the titans. But you couldn't leave the avengers, they were your family.
“I'm like secretly dating one of the avengers.”
“Oh shit,” Jason says while laughing.
“Well anyway,” He says,” why is this bothering you?”
You have been walking for three blocks now and run your hand through your hair, “I mean you know me, Todd, I tell people shit. And well I want to hold hands with her and fucking kiss her in front of everyone.”
Jason doesn't talk for a while but then he says, “you're, gay?”
You lick your lips and say, “yeah god that's a whole nother story.”
“I'll be waiting to hear that one.”
You chuckled and were in the view of the avenger's town. “Well, I have to go Jay.”
“Wait, um listen I'm obviously not in the dating department because well you know I need to fix how my family feels towards me first. And well I don't really know if I'll ever be up for it.”
“And that's totally okay,” you said while smiling.
“Also, if this secret relationship is bothering you so much just I don't know tell her.”
You rolled your eyes, “believe I want to but what if that's the cut off.”
“If that is, then she doesn't really want you, babe.”
“Why are you always so smart?”
“Must be all the hits from the crowbar I endured.”
“Jason Peter Todd.”
You can hear a laugh on the phone. You step up to the tower and say your password. “ Doozeyst avenger.” Friday opens up the door and welcomes you in.
“And I thought having bruce as a dad had its luxuries. But what is that password?”
“Another story for another time.”
“It's because your clumsy arent you.”
“Todd don't you dare make fun of me.”
“No promises, now go get the girl.”
You smiled and hung up.

“Hey, you took long enough,” Wanda said.
She took you in her arms and you smiled. Fuck you were in love.
You looked up at her and tucked her hair behind her ear, “I don’t want to keep secrets just to keep you.”
Wanda’s breath hitched,” I was wondering when you’d say that. I wanted to tell people since you snuck up here for the first time but I was scared.”
“Oh, you don’t ever have to feel scared around me.”
“I know.”
“Hey, I have an idea, lets’s randomly just do couple stuff in the open.”
“I love the way you think.” She gently presses and kisses your forehead and you both dose off in each other’s arms.

The next morning, you’re making each other breakfast when she walks in, “I hear someone coming in do you want to try something.”
“Without thinking about it you engulf her in a kiss and you hear a yelp.
“What the actual fuck!”
You both turn around, and it’s nat.
You hug each other closely and laugh.
“How long has this been going on?”
“SInce that mission.”
“Does anyone else know?”
“No, and please don’t tell.”
“I won’t.”
Wanda turns to you and says, “you know she’s going to tell clint right?”
“Yep, but I don’t care I want the whole world to know about us.”
By the end of that sentence, you guys heard a glass drop.
Here comes the roulette of everyone finding out.
“Clint.”
“Nat immediately told me, but I didn’t believe her, I swore you liked peter .”
“WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THAT?”
Clint shrugs and leaves.
“Okay, she really won’t tell anyone else.”
“Mhh,” she rests her forehead against yours and it feels like heaven on earth.
“Hey, I heard someone scream my name, oh oh OH.”
You open your eyes and look at Wanda, ‘well we’re screwed now.”
“HEY, I am your best friend, why didn’t you tell me!”
“Pete, MJ is my best friend, you are just my straight cover-up.”
Peter gasps, and says,” I would say that I won’t tell anyone but well you know me.”
You both nod. No more privacy.

Days passed and everyone slowly found out.
Except for one person.
Wandas brother, Pietro.
It all happened when you guys were training. And it all got flirty too fast.
And he walked in, “HOLY FUCK.”
You quickly jumped off of Wanda.
“Why isn’t anyone else surprised by this?” He scanned everyone’s faces. “Oh hell no, you all knew?”
Everyone nodded.
“Wait wait.” and within seconds he was back with Mj in his arms.
“Now we can double date.”
Wanda scoffed, “this is why we didn’t tell you.”
She had her hands on her hips when she said that and you couldnt help but smile at her.

This was somewhat inspired by the song ‘18′ by One Direction
You and Nikolai had grown up together, you were bought into the little palace when you were just eleven. You were Grisha and he, well in his exact words ‘damnably handsome, brave in battle, smart as a whip, an excellent dancer, oh, and an even better shot.’
His mother never liked a Grisha as his beloved son’s company, but Nikolai couldn’t care less. He’d wait for you every day after your lessons, when his parents were off to attend some general’s party or any meetings he would climb into your room and sneak you out. Nikolai would take your hand and the two of you would run off to the castle grounds. He’d lie down with you on the wet grass and stare at the night sky. Nikolai would tell you the name of the stars, the constellations and their stories, and you would listen and stare at him.
Nikolai left at 18 to work in the first army rather than stay in the comforts of the castle-like his brother. You pulled him close and hugged him the day he was about to leave for his military services. You know you couldn’t keep him close to you like that forever, but you didn’t care. You had to leave for your services in the second army soon after. It was that day as he left at dawn on that ship, did you realize that you were in love with him.
Nikolai came back after two years of finishing his service, he came to see you at your camp near the fold. The military had done him justice, he looked different. A lot different than your childhood best friend, and he knew it. He had joked then how he had expected you to moon over him like every other girl you met and cry that he had to leave again. You had only just smiled at him then. He had told you how he was going to leave Ravka to attend The University of Ketterdam. This however was strange, “You are going to attend The University of Ketterdam?” Nikolai had smiled gorgeously and said, “Believe me I know how strange it sounds.” You couldn’t tell him then how you felt, he’d probably laugh it off and say it was ‘bound to happen’ you didn’t want to seem like any other girl to him. The two of you talked all afternoon and as it was getting darker, Nikolai straightened up and looked at the exit. He looked at you with those beautiful eyes, and you’re heart ached. You saw him out to the exit, then he turned around and said “Is there anything else you would like to tell me before I leave?” You shook your head “No-“ but you were caught off as his lips pressed against yours. You froze completely but then you kissed him back, and it was better than anything you’d have imagined. Softly he pulled away “Now that wasn’t so bad was it?” he said and even though he had meant that to come off as smug and casual he sounded unsure and a little nervous, very unlike himself. You were flushed and unable to say anything but your smile seemed to tell him all he wanted to hear. “Saints I’d waited for that too long, Y/n how oblivious are you?” he said half chuckling. You flushed an even deeper shade of red, “Well?” he said “Say something?”. “Like what?” You had said “I don’t know how about- ‘You can’t just kiss me like that Nikolai, you have to court me first.’” He said trying to mock your voice as he took your hand and started spinning you around like in a dance “’ Or at least buy me ice cream? Oh you are a shameless thing Nikolai! a very handsome one though.’” He picked you up as he would before. Laughs filled the tent that evening, and that clenching feeling in your heart that held your secret. It was no longer a secret; he knew you loved him and he loved you too. It didn’t matter that he was going to leave soon, that he was going to leave to pursue his own dreams and not to be stuck at some fancy university. You both knew what was coming but at that very minute, the both of you couldn’t care less.

Pairing: Tom Holland x Reader
Summary: Sometimes dating a celebrity is hard...but Tom & Y/N have always said no matter what happens they could get through anything. Some angst but a lot of fluff.
A/N: So sorry for leaving yall hanging! Life is just crazy right now and this blog needs a lot of TLC tbh!! Also ehh I def dont think this was my best work but enjoy?
“Oof” Y/N lets out as she plops on to her boyfriend who was lying comfortable on the couch. Tom groaned at the impact with a cheeky smile on his face, his arms instantly wrapping around Y/N’s frame.
“Y’know..there are empty seats right there.” The soft brown-eyed boy gestured with the flick of his thick head as Y/N raises her eyes looking down at him, pretending to be slightly offended.
“Oh I see how it is then. It’s cool...Ill just cuddle with Tessa instead. I know she would welcome me with open arms instead of—” As she slowly starts getting off his chest, Tom is quick to pull her back in, securing her with his strong arms. “No baby, I was just kidding. I want you right here, and Im never letting you go.” he pleas.
The only thing Y/N could manage was letting out a fit of giggles into his chest, a sound that Tom adored and would do absolutely anything to hear every minute of every day. They stay like this for a while enjoying the feeling of each other as they both run their hands into each others hair, the feeling of their chests moving up and down, the subtle thumps of their heartbeats, and the little slips of adoration that came out of their mouths. It was peaceful. A moment that nobody could really take a way because it was theirs.
Y/N casually pulls up her phone, and scrolls through Twitter when she noticed a particular tweet on her timeline. Her eyebrows furrow, as she read the 160 character message.
Why Tom Holland Should Be With Aaliyah Cole and Dump Y/N: A Thread.
She knew it wasnt a good idea to open up the thread. She knew very well that everything within the shallow string of tweets would be a complete waste of her time because it was made up by fans who just wanted to satisfy their fantasy of shipping Tom with his co-star. Who can blame them? They always had great chemistry, but it was part of the job and thats all it would ever be.
“You’re awfully quiet.” Tom murmurs, as he places soft kisses at the crown of her head. “Whats going on?” She was lucky her phone was facing away from Tom, quickly closing the app and pretending to be on one of her many tabs in Safari.
“Mmm..nothing.” Y/N lies softly, a tight-lipped smiled plastered on her face.
“Absolute bullocks. Youre not a very good liar.” He chuckles. “Tell me darling. Whats on your mind?”
Y/N rolls her eyes in response. She’s heard that comment one too many times in her life from everyone shes known. After not giving it much thought, she gives in, sighing heavily. “Dont judge me for what Im about to say.”
“Mmm...I think it might depend on wha— Ow” Tom reacts as he playfully rubs the side of his chest that Y/N hit. “Okay too soon for jokes. Go on.”
Again, Y/N sighs as she props herself up. “Its just ... well a lot of your fans keeps talking about wanting you to get with Aaliyah.” She looks down trying not to make eye contact with Tom, who she’d imagine was looking at her with annoyance.
Tom rolls his eyes at the ridiculousness. Not so much at Y/N but the fact that some of his fans just didnt want to accept the fact that he was happy with Y/N. If it had to come from his mouth to stop the stupid rumors and give his girlfriend peace, then hed gladly yell it from the rooftops for everyone to hear. “Thats it Im making a statement about it.”
Y/N’s eyes widen in fear, scrambling to prevent him from grabbing his phone on the table next him. “No no no no.” She repeatedly declines. “You’ll only make it worse.”
“Darling, Im not going to stand here and watch you get all insecure because of their delusional ship.”
“Yeah well Im not gonna be the reason your fans hate me because Im getting in the way of your friendship with Aaliyah Cole.” She fires back.
Tom was ready to open his mouth only to be cut off once again. “And you know better. That is how your fans will always see it.”
“Okay, are you done?” He calmly asked, cautiously observing her. Rarely did Y/N ever get worked up about anything, but when she had her tangents, Tom always made sure she got off everything she needed to say before he becomes her voice of reason.
“Yeah, I guess.” she says feeling defeated. “Look its whatever and Im tired, can we just let this go and forget this whole conversation even happened?”
Tom was unconvinced, but didnt want to push her further. So reluctantly, he gave in and wrapped his arms around Y/N as they both tried to lull themselves to sleep.

Y/N wasnt sure how she ended up in the Tube. It was strange how the lights flickered off the rusted tile floor. The train was no where to be seen, but off to the side of the railroads was pitch black, she could hardly see beyond. To her right she noticed herself standing in the corner of the room, and to her surprise Aaliyah was there. Her milk chocolate kissed skin, and fashionably long frizzy hair dropped down past her shoulders. Her figure long and poised, as she wore a rain jacket and sweats. An outfit only she could pull off and make it look like she was a model for Vogue. Aasliyah smiles brightly at Y/N.
“Hey Y/N.” She says cheerfully as a genuine friend would.
To Y/N’s surprise she greeted her back in the same tone. “Hey Aaliyah...uhh whats going on?” Y/N wasnt sure if she wanted the answer of how they both ended up in the Tube or if she truly wanted to know how her day went.
“Well Im getting ready to present at the Oscars.” She replies, a smile plastered as if she was so excited about it, almost too excited like she was keeping a secret.
“Really? Oh my god, that’s amazing! Im so proud of you Aaliyah! Who are you taking?”
Aaliyah pauses for a few moment looking back and forth, making sure no one else was around. “Okay can you keep a secret?” She whispered.
Y/N nods her head slowly, not having the slightest clue of what was going on. “Im taking Tom. I think he really likes me, and well...I like him too! Do you think maybe I should ask him when we go?” Aaliyah asked genuinely. It was almost like she had no recollection of Y/N and Tom being a couple. “I think we would look good together. Everyone is already making rumors and ships about us.”
Y/N backs aways lowly only to bump into a broad figure. As she turns around she sees Tom, emotionless and almost sad. “Y/N.” He speaks out. “I dont think this is going to work out. Im leaving you.”
Y/N’s heart quickens, and her breaths become shorter as she tries to find a way to run. Running and running into the darkness, until all she could hear was Tom’s faint voice calling out her name.

“Y/N! Y/N! Baby wake up please.” Tom cries as he gently shakes his girlfriend from her disturbed sleep.
Quickly Y/N opens her eyes and clutches on to Toms hoodie firmly. Back home, and in Toms arms. It was a dream was all she thought. A sigh of relief escaping from her mouth.
“Darling...” he speaks softly, worried about his girlfriend. “Are you okay?”
Y/N looks up at him and nods frantically. “Mmm..bad dream.”
“Yeah it seemed like it. You were so frightened...I was scared. What happened?” He’s looking at her, trying to read her saddened eyes, wanting to desperately understand what scared her so he could make it all go away for her.
Y/N looks down at her fiddling hands, as she sits on the couch. “I uhh...” she lets out a chuckle, thinking of the ridiculousness of it all. “I uhh...dreamed about Aaliyah going to the oscars and saying how she loved you and how you two are perfect for each other. When I turned around I saw you but you werent happy and said you were leaving me.”
Tom doesnt say a word, all he could think about was how sorry he felt to put Y/N in this position. Though both of them knew, It wasnt Toms fault, or anyone’s for that matter. Feelings are feelings and that was okay. No human being was ever born perfect and without insecurities.
Y/N always tried to be a good sport with situations like this knowing every shippers theory and evidence were hardly ever true, but at some point there was only so much she could take before it all came out like an oil spill. Maybe it was a sign that she wasnt good enough to be with Tom if half of his fanbase thought this way as well.
Tom cradled her into his arms again, holding her tightly and kissing the top of her head. “Darling, I know youre still doubting yourself about all of this, but please believe me when I tell you that I love you so so much and no matter what happens...Im always yours.” He whispers gently in her ear. “It was only a dream and these ridiculous rumors and theories are just that. No one woman in the world could ever make me feel the way I feel for you.”
Y/N blinks softly, as she stares into space. Afraid and in a weird way ashamed, its funny how something so small and so minimal could affect her self-esteem so greatly. Tom gently brings her head up, so her eyes can meet his. He rolls his thumb on the bottom of her soft lips. “Hey, I love you.” Tom smiles.
Time stopped for the both of them the moment Y/N looked into his eyes, she felt safe. All the bad words and thoughts slowly disappear. Tom was right, none of the things that anyone said about their relationship mattered. She knew Tom loved her, and how much she truly loved him. Isnt that enough? Of course not. It was more than enough. A smile slowly forming on Y/N’s face. “Theres that smile I love so much.” He comments.
“Im sorry, for being such a —”
“No. Its okay. You have a right to feel the way you did.” He picks up her hand and leaves a gentle kiss.
“I love you so much Tom.” She says pressing her lips to his. “I dont deserve you.”
“Darling, its me that doesnt deserve you. Im always yours.” Tom proclaims as he kisses her back.

literally its a godtier ship and i need u guys to understand how good it is or else i'll scream
firstly, taking into account their characters: they're both overdramatic silly dorks. with rouxls, its kind of self explanatory. that's his whole deal! "but spooky, how ever is gaster similar to rouxls in this fashion?" i hear you cry in concern like a sickly bedridden victorian era child from the ether, while i wonder how people are yet still finding my house to talk about a ship,
WHAT is more dramatic than that line? everyone presumes this to be gaster, yes? and he sounds like a big dork!! he sounds like a goofy DM having a blast thrusting upon u his newest plots he spent a week planning before u all met for this round of DnD! and from this, and the "gash weaves down as if you cry" poem, i really do believe gaster isnt going to be some senseless Big Bad, but rather, a man... a flawed man but a man nonetheless.
he is not a good man, if we are to believe he's orchestrated many things in deltarune, but i hardly believe he's doing it out of like. some innate cruelty or Evil quality or anything like that. i think he has a reason for his actions, and he feels very strongly about achieving his goals like this, even if he's going about it in a Presumably bad way... he is just a man... and i can empathize with that...
now, i know you're probably wonder Why And How this fucking Worms For Brains duke of puzzles complements him in a way that'd make me want to die on this hill of a ship. yeah rouxls is a favorite of mine but i really think they have a hidden depth to them thats beyond crackship territory! (and lest ye be reminded, fellow fandom Olds, papyton had originally started as a "crackship" itself despite its popularity now)
to start: lets talk about rouxls kaard, duke of puzzles
rouxls... is a strangely complex character, the more you look at him past his hilarious failures. he's... utterly fucking ridiculous with that speech quirk of his but lancer LOVES him despite not being his "real" dad. and when rouxls outright denies all connection to him and complains about the young Jack to the heroes? interesting. even more interesting when he admits some level of care/love for the boy shortly after.
rouxls is petty, vindictive, a liar, dramatic, and hates being wrong but... lancer loves him. and rouxls loves him back. he's stated to be the one that cooks and cleans in the castle, and is implied to have knitted that lacy scarf you can buy for ralsei and therefore helped lancer knit those itchy beanies for the puzzle guys, and gives lancer ginger ale when he's sick. he's literally the new step dad. he presumably finds it hard to claim parenthood over lancer but he DOES love lancer and cared for him more than spade king was implied to...
moreover, rouxls seems desperate to be the number 2 to someone's Big Bad again. that was pretty plainly stated in chapter 2. and who are we thinking's gonna be the secret villainous character (thats probably mostly alright if he stopped doing fuckshit) of DR? oh gaster? oh alright.
so we have 2 overdramatic, presumably villainous men that are probably not as bad as initially thought that most definitely have a chance to interact through one of them's need to be someone's high level henchman to feel fulfilled and that previous relationship of the same exact kind was implied to be Kinda Gay through certain framing and theyre both elegant goths and care a lot abt their goals and are dorks and one of them could help the other Fucking Dominate at engineering puzzles?
oh okay. new ship i'll fucking die for ig!!

10 Anti LO Asks
1. here's the thing, if rachel wants to go with the later blending of helios and apollo, then cut helios and put apollo in his role instead. he's a god of truth, it would make sense if he told demeter what happened to her daughter and others what went down, but instead she bungled it by having both of them exist as basically the same being, so im not at all buying she's as researched as she claims, if at all. thats such an amateur mistake to make and yet...
2. RS has the same mentality of Madeline Miller (though at least TSOA was good) in that they're fully convinced they're feminist revolutionaries who "push back" against the patriarchal systems found in mythology but only instead show how they actually hold rather awful ideas about women. Seriously, both of them LOVE having powerful goddesses be abused by their parents, depowered, and r//ped to excuse their bad actions, yet they still think they're progressive feminists for this. It's so gross.
3. TBH Rachel insisting Persephone was a perfect, noble can-do-no-wrong heroine from the beginning absolutely fucked it up for her, because now she's trying to make her "morally complex" while still excusing her at the same time, so it doesn't give us a complex character, it gives us a character who gets away with murder and is demanding to be treated like an adult yet refuses to do so and happily lets herself be babied at every turn. She's not complex, she's an immature brat who Rachel coddles.
4. The fact the stans excuse Persephone's wrath and murder rampages because of Demeter's "helicopter parenting" is so like ... hello? I had strict helicopter parents too, but I still know how to control my emotions and not want to murder/torture people. Also, most kids with strict parents are mature way before their times, while Persephone still acts like a child and wants to be doted on. I don't think Demeter was as much of a helicopter parent but more so one who spoiled Persephone rotten, IMHO.
5. It's weird how S2 is being so dragged out yet is also so rushed all at once. Like S1 was over two years and only two weeks wentt by, and now we're almost a 1 1/2 into S2 and only a week and a half has passed, yet it feels so much slower and badly panned/executed, especially this trial plot line, which has no stakes and is not how an actual trial goes. I don't have high hopes for the rest or even the ending if this is the best she can manage with all the help in the world to make it good.
6. what i dont get is everyone excuses h annd p because "theyre gods thats how they are" yet the same mentally isnt given towards everyone else? like if thats the excuse, eros shouldnt have gotten in trouble for killing ppl, hera shouldn't lash out at zeus and his mistresses (esp since she cheats too), minthe and thanatos and thetis should be excused, etc etc, but theyre not while h and p are? i dont care if theyre the main characters, the lack of consistent morality and rules is a huge issue.
7. tbh the fact thanatos is now reconned to be the closest thing hades ever had to a son and yet he STILL treated him terribly and mentally and emotionally scarred the poor kid makes me glad he cant have kids. no child shouldnt be brought into the world with such a terrible man as their father.
8. tbh iff persephoen actually felt remorse for her crimes and wanted to own up for them, then she wouldnt have kept it a secret to instead only focus on herself and party then run away and hide at hades (only to again shop and party and not care about this crimes she claims shes so torn up about) until they found her and she was forced to go to court. the fact she ran and hid until she had no other option is proof enough she doesnt really care & rachel is saying one thing but showing us another.
9. i feel like a lot of hxp stories (LO being the most obvious to use this) love doing the "HxP is the anti Zeus and Hera" and it's like if the only way you can prove hxp is a good ship is by comparing them to a torn down, most well known chaotic marriage to make your ship look better, then theyre not actually that good of a ship lmao. like if hxp cant stand on its own without comparison and tearing others down. then thats a bad sign.

10. im sorry, but a likely underage persephone saying she has a ~deep connection~ to some gross old drunk man who wandered into her mom's house is not proof they're meant to be. also it just makes their original in comic meeting (which webtoons and the fans love to cling to) is now null and void for a creepier version?? like nope why would you have her be a nearly naked possibly 17 year old persephone laying on top of a nearly naked 2000+ year old man?? rachel why would you retcon that??? ew??

24 pipeyna (i was so excited when i saw you were writing for this ship bc there is NO FANFIC about them and i love them)
not accepting anymore prompts, just doing the ones i already have! <3
after her fourth date with jason, piper decided she needed to call it off. he was a great guy, but it wasn’t fair to him that she was putting about 4.2% of her energy into trying to like him. when he had asked her out, she’d only said yes because she needed to get over a certain someone. which was already a hopeless case.
piper stepped out of the elevator, walking down the halls to the door of her apartment, unlocking it and pushing it open. to her surprise, her roommate was not tucked away in her room, but she was pulling a beer from the fridge. and clearly not her first one.
“hiiii,” reyna sang. she wasn’t a lightweight by any means, so piper wondered how many drinks she’d had already. “how was your date?”
“it was good,” piper said. which wasn’t a lie, the date was objectively fun. she and jason had played mini golf and she had won by a landslide.
“oh my god, you’re in love with him!” reyna laughed. “he’s the man of your dreams, isnt he?”
piper chuckled. “actually, this is probably gonna be our last date,” she said. her roommate’s smile dropped and she blinked.
“oh,” reyna said, suddenly much more sober. “what happened?”
“nothing,” piper said. “i just don’t feel anything for him. not fair to him if my heart isn’t in it.”
“so where is your heart, then?” reyna asked, and piper met her eyes. in the two years they’d been friends, there had always been an inexplicable trust between them. they didn’t keep any secrets. mostly.
“somewhere else,” piper said, feigning nonchalance. her heart fully belonged to the woman in front of her. no matter how hard she’d tried to deny or ignore those feelings, it became impossible at some point and piper had just decided to love with it. she tucked her heart away in a little box that she kept hidden and closed off, afraid that if she opened it up, she’d lose her best friend.
“with someone else?” reyna asked, all too perceptively. piper almost hated how much her best friend knew her. all she could do was nod.
“im too sober for this,” she said instantly, walking towards the fridge and opening another beer, downing half of it. unlike reyna, piper was a lightweight. hopefully that meant she’d be able to feel this drink soon.
“who?”
piper looked at reyna, who had gotten closer while she’d been chugging her drink. she really was way too sober for this. although, maybe that was a good thing because drunk piper loved to talk. it was a miracle she hadn’t already spilled her heart out to reyna.
“no one,” she lied. reyna studied her, stepping closer. piper took another long drink.
“since when do we keep secrets?” reyna pouted. that alcohol, however much she had, must’ve gone to her head because piper had never seen reyna pout. ever. it simply wasn’t something reyna did.
“you don’t know them,” piper lied again. reyna stepped closer until they were a foot apart. piper was already shorter, only by a few inches, but now she felt tiny as reyna analyzed her. tipsy or not, her eyes were sharp and intense, and piper had always felt like reyna would be able to read her mind if she tried hard enough.
“liar,” she decided. “who is it?”
“rey,” piper said. it only occurred to her a moment later, when reyna stepped closer again and placed her palm on piper’s cheek, that she knew. reyna knew, and piper could tell by the look in her eye.
a million times, piper had imagined what reyna would do or say if she found out. obviously, there were the likely chances she would be disgusted or uncomfortable. and more than once, just for her own happiness, piper had imagined that reyna would return the feelings and they’d fall into each other’s arms like they were meant to. not once, though, did piper consider that was what would actually happen.
but sure enough, reyna’s eyes were full of hope and wonder and love, and piper was pretty sure she was hallucinating.
“pipes?” reyna murmured. “you still wanna keep that secret?”
gripping the beer bottle in her hand like her life depended on it, piper took a leap of faith and pushed up on her toes. she pressed her lips to reyna’s, who immediately responded with equal enthusiasm.
and of course piper had imagined kissing reyna. but the real thing was so much better. she was sturdy and strong, but soft at the same time. their bodies melded together perfectly and piper wondered if they were made for this; she wondered if she were put on this earth for sole purpose of finding and kissing reyna. it sure felt like it.
“you,” piper gasped quietly when they finally pulled apart. “i love you.”
reyna smiled, a beautiful show of pearly white teeth. “i love you too,” she whispered. when reyna leaned down again to kiss her, piper couldn’t help but now be a little grateful that she was still sober enough to remember this moment.
