See the thing is with streaming its going to die regardless, yes companies handing out less contracts is killing it further but its already dying at a fast rate? I'm not a stream hater either btw I really enjoy them but like. For example. 2020, 2021? When school was remote and I only ever worked mornings because of covid hours? I was clocked into that Philza 8hr stream DAILY. I was scheduling my classes around those streams so I could do homework while listening/watching. Went as far as to use my monthly speaking privilge to ask Phil what date British Daylight Savings began so I could keep my schedule clear. The second everything was no longer remote, and store hours went back to normal, I maybe caught 2, 3, maybe 4 streams in that year before I decided enough was enough about QSMP and I LOVE hardcore content.

From a company standpoint I can see why YT may not be interested in handing out streamer contracts anymore. Like Dreamie and a few others they're recognizing the Covid Number Boom is over- but unlike Dreamie, because theyre a corporation, they can't just "stick it out" and "recelebrate milestones". They have a "bottom line" to protect and they're not getting that same sweet sweet ad revenue from streams because of decreased viewer counts. Esp bc people don't just go back and watch vods unless there's a REAAAALLY good reason to. So no ad viewership there either. They're going to go back to relying on videos (and unfortunately probably shorts as well, I hate the tiktok-ification of every socmed site) to keep their ad revenue up, especially with the battle of ad blockers. I see more ad and monitization deals being handed out.

With streams (bc vod watching is lowkey practically nonexistant) not being in high demand bc of time constraints (happening while busy, timezones issues) the demands for videos will be higher as videos are ALWAYS readily available. Someone uploads at midnight your timezone? I mean it'll be there when you wake up, you won't have "missed" anything like you would have a livestream. Get a video schedule set out and you're GOLDEN- the first thing I do when I get home from work is check if a handful of youtubers have uploaded to put on to watch. If not, I rewatch some of my fav vids.

Also psychologically I actually think this is for the better of all CCs as a whole. Streaming, esp for some of the hourly requirements some of these ppl either HAVE to hit to get paid or WILLINGLY put themselves through (Tubbo) you have to wear your persona the ENTIRE time. You have to make sure you don't slip up that ENTIRE time. You have to be entertaining the ENTIRE time. You have to filter yourself because it's all live. To me this just sounds like what I do on a daily basis masking my audHD and that shit is so tiring and it's why I could NEVER be a streamer. If you're recording videos you can control what goes out. You don't have to wear whatever persona you decide to put on for 8hrs for a stream, you can record 3 hours of footage and then be done for the day, and that can either be one video or multiple depending on a lot of factors. Accidentally say your mom's name? Cut the clip. Bit isn't funny? Cut the clip. They will still have to actively filter themselves yes but for a much less amount of time. In the end CCs will have a lot more mind power that they're not using up to take care of themselves. I genuinely think it's psychologically better for them all.

It's unfortunate that the streaming industry is going to collapse this way. But also seeing how the communities heavily affected by streaming are more drama filled than communities w/o streaming, I'm lowkey hoping it's for the best. Pulling the plug like this imo is a mercy kill.

I appreciate the essay-andy-ing these are interesting thoughts! I don't think the streaming scene will collapse entirely but I do think that it will become more advantageous to be a youtuber because people have found that to be the most consistent for many years as a CC rather than streams which require a lot of additional things (like you mentioned)

And I feel like we are seeing quite a few people say they're going to prioritize youtube more in the future which seems to be the beginning of that transition

I am curious if twitch will ever try to keep certain big-viewer streamers on the platform with 'kick-style' ($$$$) contracts.

and it isn't for lack of trying on Simon's end. he manages to get your number somehow (i hear Soap is very tech savvy...) and asks you out the week after the dinner at John's house, only for you to decline.

which is fine. he can take rejection. but this is... different. you're too kind when you say no. you're not saying it because you think you're too good for him, you're saying it because of something else, and Simon can tell the difference but can't exactly tell what it is.

it drives him nuts for a long time. you were supposed to be just another number in his phone for a booty call. he's used to getting pretty much anything he wants, after all, but even then it shouldn't have bugged him as much as it did. maybe it was because he liked the way you looked at him. not with disgust. not with some lustful intention. you were... soft. kind, even.

as for you? you think it's crazy how this 6'4", ripped, and kind guy showed interest in you. you, someone too anxious for her own good, someone who said no because it was less scary than committing to something. and you hate yourself for rejecting him.

so in an effort to stay close to him, you text him pretty often. you send him pictures of things you see or run into during your day. something funny at work, a cool rock you found in someone's garden, the spider that decided to make its home in your shower. and sweetheart, you have no idea what you're doing to the poor man ):

this goes on for a long while. just simon being a stupid man, not wanting to push your boundaries after you already rejected him, and you being too anxious to fix things and ask him yourself.

eventually, by some miracle (that i might write more about later because like i said BARE BONES) the two of you get together. and it's... interesting. simon isn't really used to dating. like properly. he's used to buttering a girl up, going back to her place for a quick fuck, and then only seeing her whenever either of them are too bored and horny to function. but with you it's nothing like that at all. there's no sex on the first date, not even a damn kiss, and he finds himself craving you more than ever because of it. wanting to be around you all the time, wanting to hear about your day.

man is fucking obsessed.

he treats you like a princess. he only ever really spent his money on stupid shit but now he can spend it on you! you never ask for anything, but god forbid if you express that anything, be it clothes or otherwise, looks cute because he will buy it for you, no matter how awkward you are at receiving gifts.

also! because he's so big and somewhat brutish, no one fucks with you when you're in public together. annoying kiosk clerks trying to aggressively sell you something? one look from him and they're gone. someone messed up your order but you're too anxious to ask them to fix it? he's advocating for you.

because of him, you find yourself growing less afraid and anxious of things. he teaches you how to be brave, and you teach him how to be soft. there's nothing in the world that he wouldn't do for you <3

I mean, he started a bar fight with a fucking chair, and he fights in street fighting rings, let's be real for a second.🚩 - He's incredibly quiet and reserved a lot of the time, and sometimes you just assume that he's listening to you when you talk, but a lot of the time, he's lost in his own thoughts. - Will do everything anyone asks him to at the expense of his own free time and energy, and sometimes he works himself to exhaustion just to try and please everyone.🚩 - In doing so, he sometimes doesn't have time for himself at the end of the day. It also seems like you spend time together less and less as the days go on. - If he ever got himself hurt and you tried to help him, he'd decline any help with anything to save his own pride. - Ignores his physical health until he's practically dying. You've told him to get that cough looked at for literal years and he just says "I will" and does nothing 🚩 - sometimes talks to you as if you're a child especially if he's around Dutch -low key gaslights you sometimes 🚩 - and he says it with such a gentle tone, its hard to catch it 🚩

- Daydreams way too much - Likes to live in her romance novel fantasy land rather than face reality 🚩 - Cries a lot - Tries to be angry but can't help but cry instead - If crying makes you feel bad for her, she'll probably do it on purpose so you comfort her and give her attention🚩 -If you're in a fight, she'll turn on the crocodile tears to get you to stop being angry with her or whatever it is you're arguing about.🚩

Abigail Roberts

- She can be verbally abusive if she's pushed far enough 🚩 - Holds in a lot of her emotions🚩 - Neglectful of her own personal needs to make sure you or Jack are fully provided or cared for🚩 - a lot of the time, when she's upset with you, you're probably given the cold shoulder and the silent treatment - incredibly protective. Not necessarily a bad thing, but she can sometimes be super overbearing.

Tilly Jackson

- Tells it how she sees it, sometimes accidentally sounding a lot colder than she means to 🚩 - Too sarcastic for her own good 🚩 - Laughs a little too much sometimes when you tell a joke, and you can often tell it's actually incredibly fake🚩 - gets irritated really easily, especially if she's bothered while doing her chores. A/N: I feel like, for some people, they get locked up with these characters and one of you would come out pregnant and I'm not sure who.

Kaeya would find the situation a tiny bit funny but overall a more annoying because as much as he loves being alone with you he does have things do so as Captain. Usually when he's alone with you neither have to worry about getting interrupted so he's free to make you moan as loudly as he can. Now though, well it would be a shame not to take advantage of this alone time but you have to be silent.

Diluc tries calling out for help but damn, there's no one in the tavern anymore and he can't exactly smash the door down or burn it. He can keep you both warm until morning though, just snuggle up against him. Yes, he's aware that its not professional as your boss but he would hate for you to get sick because of his mistake. The last thing he expected however was for you to kiss his cheek and neck as you pressed so hard against him that you accidentally triggered a different kind of reaction from him. Its fine, just don't say or do anything, it will go away on its own. Eventually.

Itto is more then happy to be stuck with you. Yes he can easily break the cell door down but you're partners, so he is staying here with you for the whole day. About time actually, that you got some alone time, he's been missing you. Pulls you into his lap and starts to playfully kiss you and nudge his nose against your neck as if you're not in jail but at home. He finds it more productive to spend the time kissing you, making you arch your back into him and maybe even making you moan then just moping around in the cell for the whole day.

Thoma doesn't know how the hell this happened, getting locked in the shed. He could have sworn he had the key. Odd. Well someone is bound to come looking for the two best servants eventually. Its really dark in there so he ends up accidentally brushing against your chest with his elbow, good think you can't see his face right now. Gets his shoulder injured by trying to break the door down, and having you giving him a massage later. That might have been a dumb move but, hey at least he got some kisses out of it.

Gorou gets all flustered about being alone with you after his rut has ended. He hasn't spoken to you much, not because he didn't want to but because he didn't know what to say. Now... he has to confront you. What happened between you two, he doesn't want it to be a one time thing. He had a very good time with you those few days, he got to know you a lot better at the very least, and for that alone he's happy it happened. Can't stop thinking about you and right now, in this small space, you scent is driving him nuts. He wants to be enveloped in it, to cover you with his own scent.

Childe laughs as soon as he figures out that you're locked together. It is funny, you have to admit, two rivals, now so close. What is he gonna do with you now hm? Well first off shut you up because your complaining is getting on his nerves. He tried talking to you but clearly its not working. The only other way he knows of shutting you up is by kissing you, making your mouth occupied. And if his mouth isn't enough, well, he's got other things that you could put in that mouth of yours. In fact, maybe he wants you to. Seems like a better way to spend your time then screaming at each other.

Pantalone is extremely annoyed by this situation. Not because its you, he likes you, but because this is something that is out of his control. It makes him very frustrated indeed. Perhaps you know of a way to help him feel better? No, not trying to pick the lock, he already tried that. Just come here, occupy his mind a little, there's no sense in staying still and just waiting. If you don't want to then he does have some papers he can still go over. No? He thought so, then you better find a way to entertain him okay? He can be a little unpleasant when he's irritated.

Dottore takes full advantage of being alone with you. He's had many things he's wanted to try out with you and this extended alone time is the perfect opportunity. What? No, nothing lewd. This is still his lab and he has experiments to do. Did you really think he meant that kind of fun? Well if you really want to, yeah, there are a few things he has been working on to make the act more enjoyable. He didn't intend to try them out so soon but... all in the name of science. And you never have to know about the spare key he has.

Al-Haitham walks back and forth like that's gonna open the door of the library. Okay yes, the two of you got wrapped up in research but the librarian could have called out to see if there was anyone else in here before she locked up. Now what you do, there's not much light in here so you can't keep working. He can see that you're getting tired as well. He takes you by the hand and pulls you in his lap while he sits in the chair. You can rest your head on his shoulder. Oh. Kissing his neck now. The library... shouldn't be a place for these things. But you are all alone so... he can let you get a little handsy.

Zhongli can't believe this is happening to him, in all his years he's never gotten locked up in his study with anyone. The good news is that there is food and tea in here so you won't be hungry until morning. And there is a quite the comfy couch for you to sleep on. A little small for one person but you made it work before. For other purposes but still, it will do nicely. Places his coat over your shoulders and holds you close to his chest to keep you warm. His hands might wander places, he is pressed close to the woman he loves after all, just tell him if you want him to stop.
